We used Tracey for cat sitting when we were away for a weekend. Tracey was good at giving us updates on how everything was and asking what times would be suitable for the visit. We felt comfortable knowing our cat was being taken care of, and on the plus side, despite being a shy cat, he actually came out and even played with Tracey for a bit! Would definitely be using We Love Pets and Tracey again 😊

Our dog has been walked by the team at We Love Pets for almost 4 years. Unfortunately, we are moving out of the area so will not be able to stay with them. They have been absolutely fantastic. Tracey is really quick to respond and meets pretty much every request we have had. We have had walks around Christmas, at weekends as well as our usual weekly walks. Polo and I cannot recommend Tracey and her team enough. Not only is Tracey amazingly professional but a lovely person too. She's not only completely and utterly reliable for weekly walks she also goes out of her way to help at short notice. Her team are absolutely wonderful with Polo and he adores his best friend walkers. Tracey has also gone out of her way to find the perfect doggo walking buddy for Polo. Tracey looked after my two cats while away on holiday. She popped by beforehand to meet the cats & get oriented with their routine (feeding, letting outside, etc.). She sent us pictures & updates while I was away. I highly recommend Tracey as she provided wonderful service, great communication, and not to mention very reasonable pricing.

Tracy has looked after our Sausage Dogs on a number of occasions and they both adore her. They are quite high maintenance and demanding, she is always patient and affectionate with them. She has also looked after our cats, gerbil and Guinea pigs. We trust her implicitly and wouldn't have anyone else caring for our pets. Highly recommended.

Kevin and Cristal are extremely likeable and recently looked after our 15 month old Labrador, Luna for a 4 night stay....Luna was extremely well looked after and obviously enjoyed her time with them...would highly recommend to anyone looking for a trusting dog carer

My regular dog sitter was fully booked, so needless to say I was quite nervous about finding a new sitter for my furry baby while we were supposed to go on vacation. After intensive search for a new host, I got in touch with Kevin & Crystal from Buddy's Pet Care. Chester usually barks at strangers, needs a bit of time to warm up to people. As soon as we got at their place for a meet and greet, instead of barking he was all kisses and jumps of joy. I realized that Chester will be in good hands during his 3 weeks stay with them. During our vacation, I received updates with photos and comforting words to let me know that Chester was doing great. It was obvious that they care about dogs - loves and treats them as they are their own. Kevin and Crystal are beyond awesome. Thank you very much for putting me at ease and for taking such a good care of our boy. Highly recommended for all the pet parents. 5 Stars review, very well deserved. We have booked already Chester’s stay with them for our Christmas vacation.

Needed a dog sitter very quickly in the area and found Buddy's using google maps. Crystal had my Border Collie, Mya straight away for me, no questions. She's an absolute life saver. Thank you so much. Xx

When my parents were unexpectedly taken ill at very short notice, Kevin was able to collect my parent’s puppy and look after him for us, while they recovered. Initially this was to be for a long weekend, and they ended up having Toby for two weeks. Very reliable, and totally flexible, nothing was too much trouble for Kevin and Crystal. Toby has obviously been extremely well looked after, and has come home happy and well. We will definitely use their services again, and recommend to all our doggy friends.

Our dogs love it. They are well cared for and happy to go each time! They also offer boarding if you need it. We left our dogs for a week while we were away on a trip that wasn't dog friendly. They were happy and healthy and while pleased to see us visible happy to be at buddy's.

Jan 2023: Our dog has just spent the last 2.5 years with Buddy, Kevin and Cristal. Our dog would bound out the front door, so excited to see them - they've been a huge part of his development. Kevin and Cristal treated our dog like their own and gave us advice when we asked for it. Freddie spent many nights and a few weeks whilst we went away, without a single issue. So sad we have now moved away from the area, but hoping our dog gets his holidays at Buddy's still. Thank you Kevin and Cristal, you're amazing! Nov 2020: Our dog absolutely loves his days with Buddy and the other pooches. We haven't used Buddy's for any overnights yet, just daycare - but we won't hesitate too.

Kevin has looked after our outdoor rabbit on several occasions and he is always reliable, trustworthy, does an excellent job and often goes above and beyond. When it was very hot he put ice bottles out for the bunny to cool down against! We will continue to be using him and thoroughly recommend his services for any pets.

We used Kevin from Buddy's Pet Care to pop in & look after our cat whilst we were away on holiday and we couldn't be happier with the service! Very personable service from start to finish, with everything thought out and more - nothing was too much trouble & our cat well looked after & more importantly happy! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use the service again in the future.

Treacle is a regular Rags & Bert’s attendee. He was struggling with being left home alone having lost his companion Yorkie & was slightly reactive having been attacked by an XL bully. He’s now been with Rag & Bert’s every Friday for months and loves it! He’s like a new dog. Despite being an older boy, he’s made so many friends and I am told has the energy of the puppies - running about ! A proper ladies dog too. Many dog places said no to Treacle as he’s not had the snip (cannot undergo general anaesthetic with a heart murmur). But Rags & Berts were happy to have him. Thank you to Sarah and everyone at Rags & Bert’s, couldn’t be more reassured when I leave him in your trusted hands (he runs in and doesn’t look back to mum now 😂) and I love the photos uploaded daily so I can see he’s getting on OK from my office ! 😊🐶 Ellie, happy dog mum! Latest review: Rag and Bert's recently upgraded their grooming services which I booked after a short doggy hotel stay. The Grooming Pod by Sophie is a new best in class grooming service and I couldn't have been happier with the service and treatment my dog received. Sophie has lots of experience, is super friendly and is a great addition to the Rag and Bert's team. I have always enjoyed the "postcards" from Rag and Bert's during hotel stays and to get these from Sophie for my groom was a pleasant surprise. My top tip is to add this service before picking up your dog from a doggy hotel stay - it is super convenient and the price is competitive for Reading. Thanks again! Previous review 1 year ago: Huge, massive thank you to Sarah at Rags & Bert's for sorting out a last minute doggy hotel change for my dog due to a work trip change. Sarah was able to add in some extra dates and move things around to accommodate my changes without fuss and with a super friendly approach! A total weight off my mind knowing my dog is going to have a great time at Rags & Bert's, just like always, and I am able to attend my work trip fully focused knowing she is in great hands. 10/10, 5 start, gold standard service once again. Our dog is always really well cared for, the staff are polite and accommodating and I love getting the email updates while she's there! She's usually quite a shy dog who doesn't like new places but she's always happy to spend time here!

Excellent doggie hotel. From meeting the owner to placing my dog into their care, it's nothing short of excellent. Bailey gets doggy daycare as well as a overnight stay and the key thing is I know he is safe and having fun while I'm away on holiday.I have recommended them to my other friends with doggies...can't say I've done that with any other dog hotels/kennels in the past!! The staff are lovely and Sarah who does the bookings is always helpful and kind. Oh and Sophie the groomer cuts his hair....so what's not to like!!

Have previously left a review for Rags & Bert’s as my girl goes twice a week to socialise and have great fun and as I said previously I cannot praise the staff and facilities highly enough. Now they have opened the Grooming Pod I wanted to recommend Sophie, as a groomer she is excellent (and very nice to talk to). My GSD looked and smelled lovely after her visit to Sophie. We have had a bad experience with a groomer in the past so it’s wonderful to have someone who really knows what they’re doing.

It is a fabulous place, and my spatial dog loves it, the being I’ve dropped him off for three days. He always looking forward to going in, in the morning, and I collect him in the evening after I work. He crashes out exhausted as it seems he enjoys being there. I would recommend going back there again, and I’m giving this a full five stars

Daisy has been attending Rags and Berts for a couple of years so the staff know her well. I’m informed she’s well behaved at the setting but on the lead with me she’s been showing signs of anxiety. Dave at Rags & Berts has been helping me with tips on how to reduce her anxiety (and therefore mine) when we’re out and about. Dave encourages positive rewards and staying calm with our fur babies. He supports the adult by asking the right questions, making suggestions and encouraging you to keep making those little changes which are greatly improving our walks together.

Brought both my dogs here for a groom, they were able to do them both at the same time which is great! They’ve come out looking beautiful and smelling divine! Such friendly, dog orientated staff couldn’t be more pleased!

We have been using Greta's home pet service for over 12 years now (!) It's so reassuring to go away on holiday and know our cats will be happy and cared for. They are not keen on visitors but always give Greta a warm welcome when she arrives, both clearly a good judge of character!

Greta has walked my dog for nearly 3 years now and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is so reliable, friendly and really does treat Otto like he’s her own. Rain or shine she’s out there with the pups. If you’re worried about leaving your dog all day when you’re out at work, never fear, they’ll be asleep all day! We truly don’t know what we’d do without her!

Greta has been walking our dog Filbert for over 5 years now and I couldn’t recommend her services more. He loves going out with her and the other dogs at lunchtime. It’s great for his socialisation and it’s lovely to see the videos and pictures she post on her Facebook page of them all having a good time. Feels very reassuring to have her looking after him. Greta has also shown flexibility when our schedule has changed or we need support last minute. Highly recommend.

Greta started out doing home visits for our border terrier puppy Gremlin when we got her in July, and then when Grem was big enough taking her out on twice weekly group walks while we are at work. Greta has been fab from the start - professional, reliable and reasonably priced, and Grem always has the best time socialising with other dogs out on walks. We can't recommend Greta enough!

We can't speak highly enough of service provided by 'My Paws' and would highly recommend to anyone considering leaving a cat or dog at home whilst you're away. We have used Greta Hughes’ cat sitting service ‘Paws’ for the past 8 years, and each year around 3 or 4 times. We have two cats that are generally very nervous but they still find Greta approachable. Greta has never let us down and is extremely reliable and trustworthy. For example she has not made any mistakes with bookings and has always turned up when she said she would. We have a strong sense that Greta is most caring towards our cats and gives them the up-most attention during her visits. We know only Greta will visit (and not a delegated person) and we know her stay will be enjoyed by our cats (and not just a flying visit to ‘tick the box’). Greta’s experience whilst working in a veterinary practice has proved very valuable to us; for example when one of our cats had a bladder infection Greta continued to give the oral medicine to her (tablet and a liquid on her food) without any issues. Greta also identified a health issue with one of our cats and on her own initiative she contacted both the vets and us to let us know what the problems were and to check on how to proceed. Using Greta’s cat sitting service is not only great for the cats, as they stay in their own environment, but we also have someone coming in and out of the house whilst we’re away. Once, when we had a security alarm issue and Greta used her initiative and identified the most appropriate resolution. This also involved speaking with neighbours about the problems and checking the house hadn’t been broken into. Greta also kept us informed on what was going on.

We would highly recommend Greta's home pet visit service. We have used this service twice now. The cats are always relaxed when we return, probably because Greta takes the time to play with them when she visits. We've been very pleased with the service and feel comfortable that someone is checking on them in our own home - plus it's a lot more convenient than taking them to a cattery.

Greta has looked after our "zoo" since 2008. As well as being completely trustworthy, and doing a fab job looking after our cats, rabbit and hamster over the years Greta is also a lovely, friendly person! The kitties especially love Greta and I have recommended her to friends as she's that reliable and really does go the extra mile to provide the care you want your animals to receive.

Greta has been walking our various dogs for years, hugely reliable and its obvious she genuinely cares for them! Couldn't recommend Greta highly enough, if you are in need of any of the services she offers you will be in good hands!!

Greta has walked our Dogue de Bordeaux daily since 2013. We needed someone we could trust as our dog is a very large breed and needs an experienced handler. We also have 5 indoor cats and we were worried that someone walking our dog each day might accidentally let them out. However we needn't have worried as Greta has been extremely reliable and very professional. Our dog really looks forward to Greta's visits, often sleeping by the front door until she arrives.

My dog, Frank, has been going to Elliot for daycare for well over a year now, first on an ad hoc basis and now regularly twice a week. He loved Elliot from the first meeting and absolutely adores him now. He can’t wait to get in the door when we drop him off! Elliot is calm, friendly but also very professional. I feel completely reassured that when I drop Frank off he will be safe and happy until I pick him up. Everyday, I get photo updates of Frank having fun with his friends in the secure woodland and in Elliot’s large garden. Elliot has also gone out of his way to accommodate our changing circumstances. I don’t know what Frank and I would do without Elliot!

Buddy always has a great time with Elliot and his doggy pals! He often stays overnight as well and it’s great to have somewhere we feel comfortable leaving him - and where we know he will be happy while we are away. Thanks Elliot!

Poppy has been looked after on Tuesdays in most weeks for the past few months. She loves Elliot who really cares for her; indeed, he appears to have a natural affinity for all the dogs in his care as they all respond so well to him.

Elliot has been great - punctual, reliable and good communication throughout. I’ve used both the dog walking and overnight/daycare; I’ve recommended it to friends already and happily would again. Although I’ve not asked for them, I’ve received regular updates about walks etc. with pics and it’s great to have that assurance that my dog is happy and getting exercise while I’m in the office or away!

Elliott recently watched my two Labradors for a week. My youngest one is only 19 weeks and he has been great with her. We got loads of photos throughout the week and I swear both dogs were smiling! We will definitely be using Caversham Canine Club for all our future doggy day care needs. Highly recommend!

I call Elliot ‘the dog whisperer’ as he has a very strong connection with animals and Jessie absolutely loves him. We've left our energetic 1.5 year old labradoodle with Elliot twice so far and have been very pleased with the service. Fudge has come back super tired and spent all day snoozing after all the fun and new doggo friends he made. We also got lovely photo updates frequently. We were really pleased with the location itself and the large garden because Fudge needs a lot of room where he can run around freely and burn out all his pent up energy. Will be making the visits more regular :)

We're very happy to leave our energetic 1 year old adolescent dog with Elliot and know that he has a fun day of play and walks and some rest time when he's there! He runs into the house when we drop him off and we get regular photo updates throughout the day where we can see our dog is having a good time.

Fantastic pet sitter. 2 cats and a hamster perfectly cared for. Our home is left neat and tidy and the hamster was cleaned out and well cared for. Reliable and caring. No job too small and is happy to just sit and show your pets some love :)

Melissa is wonderful and I completely trust her to take care of our pets when we're away. I found Melissa online when we got our mini lop rabbits and I'm so pleased that I did. We opted to have her come to the house while we were away to avoid too much disruption as our rabbits are quire young. This also had the added benefit that it didnt look like we were away as Melissa brings in any post and will open and draw curtains for you if you would like. Melissa has a really calming presence and completely put me at ease. She has had rabbits in the past and I felt really comfortable asking her for advice and knowing that our rabbits would be well looked after. Melissa sends update photos as well so you know that your pets are safe and happy. I would definitely recommend her services if you are looking for someone to care for your pets while you're away.

I left my cat in the care of Melissa for two weeks while we were on holiday primarily because I didn’t want the cat to be lonely while we were away. Melissa was extremely diligent in looking after the cat catering to her needs by feeding her but also making sure the cat was happy and loved by spending some time with her every day. Melissa sent me regular updates to keep me informed about what was going on. She showed herself to be extremely reliable and trustworthy. I would definitely use her again. Melissa is just brilliant. I'm a first time owner to a Lab puppy and from the start she has always been so helpful. Made me feel at ease owning a dog and has also given me additional advice and info to care for my pup. My puppy rushes to the door in excitement when Melissa comes as she knows she is going to get spoilt and have loads of fun. Happy puppy, happy me!!! I can't recommend Melissa highly enough - She is so caring and trustworthy, I can't think of a better person to come into my home and look after my dog. Melissa is just the best.

Melissa is fantastic. We brought her our rats a few times (with the cage and all their stuff). We felt more comfortable if someone was around them rather than just visiting. Melissa took great care of our boys and shared regular updates to keep our minds at rest. The boys were always happy, clean abd well taken care of when we picked them up Now, Melissa will be visiting our cat at home - she was very flexible with arrangements, even though it was a last minute change for us. We trust her coming in and caring for our baby like noone else.

We have been looking for a solo dog walker for our 4 year old lab Bertie for a while now, I then found Melissa’s details. As soon as i met Melissa i knew she was perfect for Bertie, professional and friendly and you can see she has a great passion for animals! Melissa is very flexible and Bertie is always well walked and sleeps most of the afternoon once he is home. I highly recommend Melissa if you need a dog walker!

Melissa was amazing. I booked her last minute and of all the enquiries I had made she was one of three that quickly responded. My cat is a bit fussy with whom she will go to for cuddles and she loved Melissa. Melissa kept me updated whilst I was away which was great. Alexandra at Woofs & Wags was amazing with our Sprocker, Snoopy, it was the first time we had left him with anyone other than family. She was very professional and sent lots of photos and videos throughout the week. Snoopy loved it, lots of great walks, other dogs to play with and lots of cuddles. Would recommend 100%.

Our dog loves staying with Lin and family. I have no hesitation with leaving him there, knowing he is well cared for and loved during his stay, even his cheekiness. Lin is really loving and provides and real home from home

Lin and team have been walking and boarding my black lab over the last 6 years and I cannot recommend them enough. They treat my dog like a member of their own family and my dog leaps out of the front door when Lin turns up to collect her. Our 11 month old Welsh Terrier stayed with Lovin’ Paws for 9 days in January 2022. I have to say that Lin was fantastic with him and really looked after our boy and he had a real home from home experience. From adventure walks; to socialisation with other daycare and boarding pups and dogs to evening cuddles; Lin provided a fantastic service as well as keeping us updated with photos and chat on our pup. Our dog ted has been going To loving paws since he was 12 weeks old and now he’s 3.5 years old. He started walks with Lin and now also walks with her Son Dean. We also take advantage of the great dog boarding service too. Ted love going out with loving paws. Everyone is so kind, loving and caring. Ted always feels like one of the family! He has so much fun with his friends on his walks with so many different spots he’s taken too. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough to anyone looking to put their pooches into safe hands! Ted sits and waits and looks for the van as soon as it turns up he is crying with excitement and can’t control his wagging tail!

I’ve been using Lin and Dean at loving Paws for over 3 years now. My dog Teddy couldn’t be happier when he hears the van pull up outside the front or we pull down the drive to Lins House, his tail tells us of his pure excitement! Snoop has stayed with Lin for a week and been for daycare / walks. He loves her very much and I feel so happy and confident that he’s safe and very well cared for. Lin kept me updated on what he was up to during the week too with photos and messages - which was lovely. I highly recommend!

Dottie our Irish terrier has been walking with dean for a few months. Dottie is always very excited when he turns up and waits at the door for him. Dean is very attentive and really cares for all the dogs he walks. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Lin is fantastic with our elderly dog Gracie. She is completely trustworthy and cares so much about her always messaging to make sure she is ok if she is at the vet and giving her lots of fuss whilst we are at work. My Frenchie Tilly has spent the week at Charlie’s Place while I was on holiday. I was sent lovely photos which reassured me that she was having the best time. They also bathed her and cleaned her ears. I was so excited to collect her. She was very pleased to see me ( for 2 seconds) before trying to run back in! I have to accept that Tilly loves Charlie’s place more than me! 🤣 I would highly recommend Charlie’s Place to take very good care of your dogs. 💕

Used Charlie's Place for an afternoon and overnight stay as we were going away and couldn't bring our dog. Has a great setup and made us feel that we were leaving our dog in very safe and loving hands. We received an update on how she was getting on whilst we were away and was told what they got up to when we returned. Our little dog was absolutely knackered the following day so obviously had plenty of activity and play time whilst she was staying. Would recommend to others and would definitely use again if required.

Absolutely amazing. Our Dog Lola was quite anxious around other dogs after and we had struggled to get her re-socialise her after lock-down. Toni and the team were brilliant and slowly and methodically introduced Lola back into a pack. She now loves being in and around other dogs. As a hunting breed she also needs a lot of stimulation and the games, challenges and activities the team do with the dogs has her fully engaged. She always comes back to us chilled and happy. We've recently moved to the area and I was delighted to find Charlie's Place. Toni, the owner, has been nothing but warm, welcoming and accommodating since we met - puppy had a trial day and came home after a fabulous day of playing, socialising and muddy walks. She was exhausted! Pups is booked in regularly from January as I know she will be well looked after and have a great time. Toni is a tremendous woman and what a legacy she is building for her little boy in whose name this wonderful endeavour is being carried out.

Our dog stayed at Charlie's dog place for the day during half term. They did an excellent job taking care of her, and she had the best day. The team is quick to reply to messages and booking was easy, on the day there was a warm welcome and we felt happy leaving our dog. We got an update during the day, and at pick up heard a little of what our dog had been up to. An excellent personal service from a team who are all dog lovers. We would highly recommend.
