The Prestige pet sitters were absolutely wonderful!!! They took excellent care of our 10-year old cat, Rosie. They surpassed our expectations and we didn’t have to worry at all about Rosie because we knew she was being well taken care of. They gave her lots of attention. They sent multiple photos after each visit and wrote to let us know how the visit went. They also come by well ahead of time to ensure they know how you would like your pet to be cared for. And we were able to use a lockbox, which made it so easy for us. We definitely recommend using Prestige Pet Sitting!!

Prestige Pet-Sitting takes great care of my dog, Pepper. Since there are multiple sitters (several of whom are VT vet school students), my schedule is always accommodated. The pet-sitters come to my house, because Pepper has anxiety and cannot be kenneled. In addition to feeding and walking her, the sitters cuddle and calm her. They even trim her nails and bring in my mail. I receive detailed visit reports and great photos. I will always use Prestige for my dog-sitting needs.

Prestige Petsitting is absolutely the best. They have watched our cat and aging dog for years. We always know they are in great care; we never worry about them. Our dog gets so excited when they visit too. They send updates from each visit. We see photos from each visit. And, as needed, they call/follow-up with any questions.

I’ve used Prestige several times and wouldn’t use anyone else. I feel completely comfortable, leaving my dog at home, knowing she will be cared for. Communication is great. They let me know when they arrive and when they are done leaving a full report and pictures (which I love). They are also very reasonably priced. I could never use a kennel again!

I cannot say how much this company cares for your pets, you cannot go wrong with these guys, have used them multiple times. They got back to me the very next day and was able to watch our dog and cat over holiday weekend. They always do such a wonderful job grooming my cavapom Bentley. He’s never scared to go in there and jumps right into their arms. They said he even fell asleep while being groomed one time. He always comes home super soft, clean, and handsome. They trim his paws so neatly it’s honestly impressive. Highly recommend their grooming services!

My Scottish terrier, Scout, loves coming to daycare here! He also gets groomed here and always looks so handsome. I've tried other grooming establishments and had horrible experiences, not here though! They really seem to care about the welfare and happiness of their clients.

Our sweet beagle mix Baxter absolutely loves this place. He wails and whines as soon as he knows where we are going and will truly yank my arm out of its socket to get inside! This wasn’t always the case with our dog as he is super sweet but is not great with a kennel environment whatsoever. He is able to live freely with the small sofa and chill on a couch just like he would at home. They have treated him like family from the beginning and I couldn’t be more grateful to Tail Chasers!

My girls have been going here for awhile now and they absolutely love playing with all of their friends and the staff. Tailchasers is like an extended family! I would recommend them for all of your grooming and daycare needs 1000x over.

Did a PHENOMENAL job on my 9yr old Blue Heeler and 4yr old Husky! They were friendly, professional, fast and affordable! Will 10000% rebook with them! I have never been so impressed by the way they handled my pups! Even keeping them together to help with one’s anxiety even though I know it had to make things a little more difficult. I have been taking my Australian Shepherd to Tail Chasers to be groomed for the last two years. Sadie is one of my children and I don't trust just anyone with her. The first time I dropped her off I was so nervous. When I picked her up she looked amazing, smelled so sweet and was actually happy. Since then I have left the baths and grooming to the experts at Tail Chasers. Sadie loves her time with them and I know she is somewhere that I can trust. They always send her home with a really cute holiday bandana. My kids absolutely love this. Their costs are reasonable based on the quality care we receive. Amazing daycare for dogs. The best. The owner and staff are passionate about caring for your furry family members. Our very choosy little terrier mix runs to the gate and scratches to get in. He's high maintenance but they love him anyway. He comes home tired and happy. Groomer is great too and very patient and kind.

Taylor has been our pet sitter for our two 15 year old cats for a few years now, and she is amazing! We always come home to happy felines who have been well fed and watered, had their medicines given as prescribed, clean litterbox, and lots of attention. Taylor writes the best appointment notes and includes pictures so I never have to worry about my "babies." They were a lifesaver when I needed to spend time in Indiana taking care of my mother at the end of her life, and took care of our felines much longer than originally agreed. Bryan was fantastic!! We have an anxious cat who usually makes a huge mess when we leave. Bryan met all her needs so we came home to a happy cat and a clean house. He even put the trash out for us on trash day. I loved getting daily pictures. I’m so glad we found him because he is now our go-to pet sitter.

Bryan has been taking care of our dog for about 5 years, first with another pet service and now with his own company. He is reliable, easy to deal with, and most of all, caring. Bryan Pena has provided attentive, reliable care for my cats for years. I particularly appreciate his willingness to fit into his schedule nearly daily visits with a pair of brothers I adopted as kittens three years ago, helping keep them busy and healthy when I am working. Bryan has taken my cats to the vet, tended them while I was out of town, and stayed overnight with them when I was on an extended trip. My cats are precious to me and I confidently and peacefully entrust Bryan with their care.

This is the only company we would trust to take care of our cat after he developed cancer. Bryan is extremely communicative - he always texts me pictures and updates. He spends extra time giving our cat treats and love. Now that our cat is sick, Bryan pays close attention to his special needs....his wounds, how much he's eating, etc. Bryan is incredibly experienced and has an impressive knowledge of animals. Most importantly, he really cares about the animals.

Paws pet sitting service is the best if you need professional, compassionate care for your animals. We went through a long period of having several geriatric dogs and cats with various medical issues. They needed LOTS of support and Bryan always delivered. He made it possible for us to travel and to be away from home during the workday. We have worked with Bryan for several years and couldn't ask for better pet-sitting service. He is extremely competent and capable. Our pets love him!

Did not even get into the kennel. While filling out the forms, the owner was impatient and rude. While I was looking up vaccine info he was in a rush. I said relax, I've almost got it. He said not to tell him to relax and asked me to leave. Leaving me with no place to kennel my dog before my trip. Absolutely do not come here.

Boarded two dogs for the weekend. I have suspicion my dogs were not let out the whole weekend. My one dog refuses to poop or pee inside bc he is a very clean dog. He won’t eat if there is waste nearby. After we picked him up, he was peeing and pooping an insane amount. More than I had ever seen him do at once before. My other dog will pee and poop herself and still eat. She was acting normal, however she smelled like poop. Her toy also had a piece of poop stuck to it when we picked them up. He also did not return our blanket we left with them and claimed that when we picked it up later it won’t be clean. Unsure what the conditions inside were like but off my dog’s strange behavior and smell, I would steer clear. The two stars are for the only pros: the owner was nice. he fed our dog her medicine without extra charge. the prices are very cheap (but at what cost?) personally will not be returning.

The interaction started off well. The prices seemed reasonable and the owner seemed intent on following the correct protocol concerning paperwork (shots, etc.). Then I asked if I could see where my dog would be staying. After a long pause I was informed I could “peek my head in the door”. After pressing in on this issue more, I was told one “peek” is all I could get. Why on earth would I pay someone good money to keep my dog in an environment they won’t even allow me to view? It got real sketch real quick. My gut tells me this is nothing more than a redneck who views these dogs as a paycheck.

I took my 7 Month Old Aussiedoodles to Hans Meadow Kennel, for a full grooming. The came out so beautiful. Their coats were soft and clean, ears cleaned, nails trimmed, and the cut was adorable. This is a great place to take your pets! Affordable, and the owner is very knowledgeable and good at what he does. He has been doing this for 40 years. Highly Recommend!

From a person who loves my dogs, I would recommend that you beware of this kennel. I left my dogs there several times and asked to see the kennels and facilities. The owner always refused. The last time I left one of my dogs he came home with a patch of mange or some skin rash. Worst of all he seemed traumatized. We have let him for 3 days like that at other kennels, and he never seemed distraught. I don’t know what they do in there, but I will never leave one of my beloved dogs at this kennel again.

We started boarding our dogs with Hans Meadow Kennel a few years ago for the holidays and the odd marriage or funeral. I'm always anxious about where my pups go, but even my easily spooked male absolutely adores the owner, and he rarely likes anyone. The owner has worked some serious magic on last minute boarding needs, and once when I couldn't get back in town fast enough to pickup on the assigned day, he made sure my guys were fed and medicated properly and ready to go in the morning. What the building may lack in style, it makes up for a hundred-fold in fantastic customer service and genuine love for dogs. I'm so glad to have a good kennel I can rely on!

I dont know how this place has 5 stars but I would highly recommend if you cared about your dog to NOT let them anywhere near this place, let alone for a long period of time. Just picked up my dog, as he was bringing her out he said theres alittle redness on her nose from trying to bury something and it was a broke open, bleeding wound from repeatedly scraping something. She was there for 7 days and for it to get to the point of being open skin it would have been going on for awhile and I never received a call or concern there was an issue. The owner is rude and only seems to do this for a business not the care of your animal. Please if you love your animal as much as I do... keep them away from this business!

This is the go to place for our boarding needs. Tom is very friendly, helpful, and truly enjoys the dogs. We have never had a problem here and recommend it to all our friends. Our dogs love to go!

Would not take my dogs anywhere else!! Tom cares about each animal and treats them well. My dog used to come home from another kennel so agitated, but never once had that after staying here. Can't recommend them enough!

We have been going to Tom for about 7 years with many different types of dogs, he does what you ask and he makes it perfect. my dogs love tom and they know every month when its time to go back and they get so excited I would never go anywhere else again

They love and care for my little Gibbi as he was there own. Knowing he is safe and playing with other small dogs all day is the best piece of mind. When he gets home he is happy and tired!

You won’t find better care, friendlier service, and more reasonable prices than anywhere in Blacksburg. We have been utilizing their services several times per year for 4 years and never had reason to complain.

We have used Heartstrings for a total of 4 of our pets over the last 10 years. My in-laws have had at least as many during that time too. All of our animals love to go here. Rick and his staff live up to their promises and love our furry friends.

Highly recommended for dog boarding and grooming. The on site groomer does a great job for a fair price. And unlike most kennel experiences, my dogs don't come home stressed out. Great facilities and services.

Not from the area and moving cross country by car. I was traveling with no set plans or guides or idea what was coming my path. I needed to board my 4 cats on a whim and called this place and they had a place for them to stay overnight. I was very impressed with their professionalism and friendliness and ability to accommodate me and my cats! Asked all good questions to ensure my cat would be taken care of just like how I would at home while I was away. I had no doubt that my cats were safe and well taken care of while leaving them there. They had space to play and hide and do normal kitty things. They even let me come and see how the room looked like and let me in the room to ensure they were going to be ok. Great and cozy environment and awesome staff. Thank you so much for this!

They really care about our dog, and are always so happy to see her. She has a great time at daycare! We have also used their boarding services, and she gets top notch care while she is staying with them.

This place was great. First time using them right before Christmas and they were a blessing and fit me in before having to leave for the Holidays. My dog has had back leg problems (torn right ACL and then when that healed his left knee cap popped out of place and he is still recovering), which they very graciously took into account. After I got him back from his haircut he was feeling even better than when he first got in. I will absolutely be using them in the future. Thanks to every one who works there.

I took my cat here for his first grooming ever. They were wonderful with him and the staff was friendly. They didn't mind that I wanted to stay and watch him be groomed especially since it was my first time having him groomed. The facility is very clean which is a big deal to me, and you can tell they love all the animals that come in. I will definitely be back!

Our dog has been to this wonderful place twice, but both times he came back lethargic and with an upset stomach that the Vet attributed to bacterial infection. Since almost all the reviews are very old, weld love to learn from more recent experiences!!

I adopted an 18lb poodle with severe aggression issues a few months ago. His old owner said he had to be sedated to get groomed. But I brought him to Heartstrings today and he was a perfect angel! I think their cage-free policy and patient handling did him wonders. He looks great and I'll definitely keep bringing him here for all of his grooming needs!

The staff here are friendly and accommodating. They very quickly get back to your messages (email or voicemail). While being the largest and most well known boarding/schooling option in Blacksburg, they still have your pup’s best interest in mind by requiring vaccination records and an evaluation prior to scheduling any services. This is a great way to keep your pup socialized and exercised!

My dog absolutely adores all the staff at Flying Fur! We have done both training and daycare and have had nothing but great experiences. They are always so welcoming and kind to those with 4 and 2 legs. Wish I could give them more stars.

Auggie loves to go for daycare. It wears him out, so we have a few days of a calm dog. It is great for socializing him to all kinds of dogs, which I wouldn't be able to do otherwise.

We love Flying Fur. This is the only place my dog happily leaves me. She's so much better behaved when she gets home. I love that the staff takes suck good care of her and all the other dogs. You can tell how much they care about them!

They took fantastic care of my 6 month pittie. Had to leave town for an emergency and the day before I left they took her in for an evaluation unannounced and then took her in the following day for four days. They were wonderful and Lana was so happy when I came and picked her up. You can tell instantly that the staff are genuine dog lovers and they care deeply about the well being of all the dogs. I will always go here.

The staff here is incredible very nice and friendly! They always treat our pup with kindness and shes loves it there. Always tired after a long day of daycare, plus they have a pool! Only wish if they had a live web cam to watch the dogs during the day. Very nice and friendly staff also they have a transport service the "Bark Bus"

Our dog loves Dana and is always treated well when staying at the kennel. Abby gets to play outside and with other dogs when owners are agreeable to them interacting. Abby can get a bath and nail trim when we leave her, and I find the prices for everything to be reasonable and competitive.

I highly recommend Watch Dog Animal Care! Dana exceeded my expectations on the care that was given to our toy Aussie, Laramie. She would even go out of her way to send me pictures of Laramie during her time there. The rooms and crates are plenty big enough for dogs of all sizes. There are video cameras in the rooms as well so the dogs can be watched if no one is present in the room at the time. Baths are offered, the dogs get plenty of outdoor play time along with making new pup friends, and Dana keeps a close eye on females when in heat (or even if they’re close to that time) to prevent breeding. Dana was wonderful with sticking with Laramie's feeding schedule as well. Unlike so many other dog boardings, you can trust that your dog will be well taken care of and will be happy to go back for another stay! 100% best dog boarder in Floyd & NRV.

I have used this service several times and have been well pleased with the care my dogs received. Dana is very experienced in dog care and training and has been a huge help with my "wild children!" She has also bent over backwards to accommodate my schedule. I would not think of going anywhere else for pet care!!

My dog just finished his second stay at Watch Dog and I am very happy with his care. Check in was fast and easy, he went into Dana’s care with no trembling anxiety like his first time. He was comfortable from the start. He got his annual bath, and ate all of his pre measured meals, with meds, which is also a sign, to me, of his comfort at Watch Dog. At checkout, Dana’s assistant was professional and ready for me. We will use Watch Dog again.

Watch Dog Animal Care is the ONLY place I will leave my dogs. Dana goes above and beyond in her care and concern treating each pet like they were her own. When you start packing up the car with dog food, leashes, toys, etc…. and the dogs beat you to the car!!!! It’s a clear sign you have found a HOME away from home for the furry loves of your life. A WONDERFUL place for any dog to stay! Dogs have time to be outside where they are separated by size and temperament so that everyone gets along and has a chance to run around outside. Even older dogs that may be less “social” get to be out and with other dogs that will leave them alone. The owner has a natural love for animals and it shows. Gaius loves staying there and I know he will be well cared for.

Jackie has been caring for my fur babies for years. She truly cares for our animals as her own - and able to work it out even on short notice. I never have to worry about them when we are away.

Jackie has been wonderful, we are new to VA and it was great to find someone so reliable and caring to take care of our fur baby when we weren't able to take him with us.

I was looking for a boarding location where my husky/aussie mix pups could run around freely in a large outdoor location and burn all of their energy. I was so happy to find that Little River Farm checked all of my boxes! Amanda and Chris are so lovely and professional, they take great care of my dogs and provide updates when asked. Their kennels are indoor/outdoor and clean, the large grassy field is maintained well and my pups are always so happy at pickup!

We recently boarded our two labs at Little River Farms, this was their 2nd stay. I couldn't be happier with the experience. Chris and Amanda Lawson, the owners, truly care about the well-being of every dog that stays with them. The kennels are spacious, where the dogs can choose to be indoor or outdoors, ensuring their comfort. There is ample opportunity to burn off energy in the large grassy play yards. Since it is a smaller facility, the owners give personalized attention to each dog, they are never left alone- they are a part of a caring family environment. We love the text update with pictures/videos of the dogs, giving us peace of mind while we are away. We call it “summer camp” for our dogs. We highly recommend Little River Farms for anyone seeking a safe, caring, and top notch boarding experience for their pets.

My Great Dane, Beau, has stayed at Little River Farm twice now for boarding and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Their space has huge grassy fenced in play areas that are perfect for my giant breed baby! They send updates on how he’s doing and the happiest pictures of Beau running through the yard. I even drive an hour to use this facility because of the amazing ratings and reviews. I will definitely be using LRF again! Also, the 2nd time I dropped him off, he jumped out of the car, tail wagging!

Little River is a wonderful option for kennel stays. It’s small enough to have individual care for each dog, but the play and sleep areas are huge. My homebody dog seems to thrive under Amanda’s care. Everything is well organized and professional. Update: Kallie stayed here this past week. She had a medical emergency while there and Amanda and Chris went above and beyond to take care of our girl. They kept me informed the whole time and made sure our girl was as comfortable as she could be. She’s all good now and ready for her next visit to Little River in a few weeks.

Our dog Miller just completed a Friday to Monday stay. We were greeted with smiles by Chris and Amanda. This was Miller's first stay away from us since we adopted him 9 mos. earlier. We were all a bit apprehensive. We are so grateful for the care and attention Miller received. Miller returned to us appearing healthy and happy. Highly recommend you consider Litter River Farm.

Our sweet boy absolutely loves going to Little River Kennel! He gets his vacation time just like us. My girl stayed at Little River Farm for the first time over the Christmas holiday. Amanda was super responsive and very professional when we dropped her off. She sent text and video updates multiple times. When I went to pick up, my dog had eaten all her food (a first for when she's been boarded), and seemed super happy. Oatmeal (my dog) and I absolutely love Little River Farm! This is always where he will go if I ever need boarding for the lil guy. Amanda is very personable and cares deeply for every dog she watches. The kennels are kept clean and the dogs have A TON of room to run and play. Our Shelby had a great stay at Little River! We were impressed by the extremely clean and well maintained kennel and large play areas. The owners get to know the dogs and place them in groups where they will have fun and be safe for play. There is screening ahead of time for all the proper safety and health issues. We received updates with pictures while we were away. Not too far from Blacksburg, and I was happy to make the trip, knowing Shelby would be in such a nice place and in good care.
