I would 100% recommend fetch to anyone. This was our first time being out of town without a family member available to watch our 2 cats. It was an emergency trip to see a sick family member, so it was already a stressful situation but the staff at fetch, particularly Shelbi, made us feel so relieved about the whole situation. She went above and beyond for us and we appreciate it so much! It is clear that fetch has true animal lovers who care and it makes such a difference. I will definitely be using them again anytime I need a sitter.

I was apprehensive about hiring a dog walker - a stranger in my home caring for my dog - yikes! I am so grateful for Fetch! Pet Care of Des Moines. The people who walk my dog are AMAZING. They provide full reports on every contact that include comments, what they did, pictures of their time with my dog, and a map of where they walked. The customer service at Fetch! Pet Care of Des Moines is stellar. They have worked with me on my weird rotating schedule that includes weekends and have been able to meet some last minute changes I needed. They will do everything they can to make sure your pet is well taken care of. I was a little put off by the cost at first, but they have shown they are well worth it. Don't know what I would do without them.

Veronica is amazing! So grateful for Fetch and being connected with her, for our recent vacation. Aside from daily cat needs, she spent time playing with my cat, even played her music from her phone. Took the most precious photos to accompany the daily updates. You can clearly see how much my cat enjoyed her new friend as she was practically in her lap by the last day!

Our cat sitter Rachel has provided absolutely fantastic care to our senior kitty! She’s very attentive to her needs and I can tell from the pictures she shares that our kitty loves her, too. The Fetch people are so easy to work with and very responsive to service requests and questions. My kitty and I highly recommend!

We were so grateful to be referred by friends to Fetch! We recently got a diagnosis for one of our cats that required a twice daily medication (in addition to another cat who is already on a daily med), and had to quickly change gears on our cat sitter situation with only a few weeks left until our travel date. They set up a pre-visit meeting where we were able to meet our sitter(s) in advance, and I felt so confident leaving those med administrations to them (among the usual pet-sitting tasks). I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful it was to receive daily photos and journal entries/updates from the visits. And based on the photos, it seems the cats whole-heartedly appreciated their visits, too. I will continue to use and recommend the pet sitting services of Fetch!

I love Fetch! The website and the application work flawlessly and make scheduling very easy. The staff work diligently to ensure that your pet is cared for in the most personal way. The pre-care consultation is so welcome and caring. The services are incredible! My pet loves each member that has come to care for him, they pay attention to his particular needs, and provide photos and feedback of the experience immediately. I trust and treasure Fetch and the staff for caring for my pet!

Fetch has been the most wonderful service for my dog. I use the dog walking service a few days per week and I’m always pleased with the care the sitters provide. They are always professional and good at reaching out if any questions or concerns arise. Plus, my dog absolutely LOVES them! I have high standards, especially when it comes to my dog, and they always meet or exceed my expectations. I highly recommend using Fetch!

We have used Fetch! dog walkers and overnight sitters for years, and have enjoyed a wonderful experience with them. When we travel, we like to know our dogs are calm and in their home environment, plus have the added benefit of having our home looked lived in while we're away. We love Fetch Petcare! It’s so nice to leave our dogs at home instead of a kennel. Our dogs love our dog sitter Diana and go crazy when they see her. They are so great with communication and send lots of pictures. We highly recommend using them for your pets.

Fetch did a great job of taking care of the two large crazy dogs at my house. Lorrie hung out with them in the evening and took them for walks so we could take a long weekend without worrying about them. She did a thorough survey of their needs before we left and sent updates everyday. A great service for anyone with pets.

Great place! This was the first time we used a kennel to board our pup while we were on vacation, so we were nervous to leave our girl! However we had no reason to be concerned as this place was fabulous! They took great care of our Lucy and texted us every day on how she was doing, sent us pictures and answered all of our questions ahead of time. What a relief! It was so nice to be able to enjoy our vacation without having to worry about her…we knew she was in great hands. I would recommend Raccoon River Kennels to anyone! I cannot say enough amazing things about Raccoon River Kennels. The first time our puppy stayed with them, he was super anxious, having never stayed at a large kennel before. He ended up hurting himself trying to escape. The amazing staff jumped into immediate action, the communication with us was phenomenal, they stayed by our buddy’s side the whole time, and they were BEYOND generous to cover the entire vet bill when the injury was beyond their control. They provide individualized attention to your dog, they send pictures so you know your puppy is safe and happy, and they are extremely accommodating if your plans change and you need to extend your pet’s stay! We absolutely LOVE this place and know our buddy is in the BEST, loving, caring hands. We would absolutely recommend Raccoon River Kennels 💙💙💙!!!

We have been taking all of our boys here for the last 15 years. They love going there and are so tired when they come home! The staff sent their condolences when our oldest passed away, so I know that these dogs are special to them as well. Thank you all for taking such great care of our kids.

The staff at Raccoon River Kennels took amazing care of my senior English bulldog while we traveled. He has some special medical needs, and they administered all his meds. He also received extra playtime as an additional service. The care my dog received put my mind at ease while we were away. I wouldn’t take him anywhere else.

Awesome staff and facility! Willing to work with us boarding our 3 year old Aussie, Bentley, who struggles meeting new people but is a sweet boy at heart! Bentley struggled during his first boarding stay but we made some adjustments and he had a complete turn around his second stay just a week later. Bentley really warmed up to the staff, specifically Taryn during their play dates! Greatly appreciate the email update with pics of Bentley’s play date we received during his 5 day stay! Thank you all for your patience with Bentley and taking good care of him! Looking forward to Bentley’s next boarding trip in October! My sweet girl has been attending daycare at Raccoon River now for over a month. She is slow to warm up to change and prefers people over other dogs, but she loves going to Raccoon River! She has friends that she enjoys and she absolutely adores the staff, who take wonderful care of her! She is greeted each day with lots of pets and love, and she happily races to the back yard to go play. I would recommend Raccoon River Kennel to anyone!

Been using Raccoon River Kennels for years now, tried other kennels and they just are not as good! Now that Raccoon River is adding pics and videos of the dogs while they are outside is even better!!!! Want your dog to get some exercise, want them good and tired from puppy daycare, this is the place!! Lots of room outside, dog wading pool, and many other features. None of this your dog being locked up for a couple of hours to get one hour of exercise!!! Love the staff, they know me and my dog even though we only use their facility every other week.

My fiancé and I have boarded our two dogs here for a few short trips and the team has been fantastic to work with! The team reached out to vets on our behalf to obtain records, they’ve made many accommodations for our dogs during their stays, and been diligent reporting anything of importance regarding our pets. We were very nervous initially with boarding, but the very capable team has put us at ease enough to be able to plan a longer trip.

They did a great job when I boarded my anxious pup, Harley, during the first weekend of August. The staff gave extra attention to her and tried their best to make her feel comfortable. They washed our items before pick up and also gave us notes on her stay. Will definitely be bringing her back on the rare occasion we need to board. The staff were so professional and competent and you could tell they cared about the animals they are taking care of.

Every time we take our dog there, he is so happy. I know that they give him the best care and attention. They are also great with communication to us.

Highly recommend Canine Country club! First time boarding my sweet pup and felt at peace knowing he was well taken care of! I opted for the standard boarding, camera access, and daily pictures and it was very well worth it, since I was gone for a 5 day trip. The staff there are also wonderful and very friendly. We took our 18 month old Bernese Nova to daycare for the first time today. She got a bath and her nails done while she was there. Staff was very friendly and greeted her by name at drop off even though she was new. Pick up was easy and they sent home a cute first day photo and a report card. She was happy and tired! We will be boarding her for a few days later this week and I'll update with more to review.

Our beautiful girls absolutely adore Canine Country Club! We live over an hour away and this is our number one doggy daycare and boarding! We genuinely can not rave enough about the staff or the facility itself. They truly care about each individual dog and love their jobs just as much! They have unique activities/parties all (usually) month along with special events for certain days to make your dogs stay a little bit more entertaining! They make the cutest crafts for the dogs to go home with for their pawrents! We have a collection started of thoughtful pictures/crafts and even a report card from their first daycare day! Do not make the same mistake as us trying out daycares wasting your furry children’s time as well as your own.. come here first! You will not be disappointed! (Attached are their most recent take home craft from Augusts party as well as them asleep for the whole ride home after being tuckered out from playing with friends all day!)

I had my dog Arlo here while I was at a festival in the area and they were absolutely phenomenal! Im a super anxious dog mom and they soothed all my worries. I got pictures and texts from the team about how he was doing and i was able to watch him on live feed. Im originally from Texas and have boarded my dog down there many times but this experience is by far the best boarding experience Ive ever had. 10/10 recommend❤️ Arlo says thank you for the great care

We absolutely love Canine Country Club! We started coming when my dog was still in a lot of puppy phases and it was a great way to socialize her (even though as a golden, she’s already a social butterfly!) Now Ruthie looks forward to daycare so much that she smiles instantly once she comes in the door. I know the staff loves her like she’s one of their own. They do special parties often and have really amazing add-ons with boarding. We could not be happier coming here and I couldn’t imagine not letting Ruthie have her weekly play dates. Highly recommend them! :)

We and our dog Fiona love CCC. She is always very excited to go and see her friends. It’s a wonderful way to socialize her and helps her burn off her energy!!! Scheduling is very convenient.

I switched up my career avenue with CCC April 2024 and couldn't be happier! It has been nothing short of wonderful to build relationships with all our babies and their parents! Welcoming them to daycare everyday is so heartwarming and it brings tears to my eyes to be a part of this wonderful Club! Our staff is a bar above the rest and I mean that genuinely (I have always set the standard high regardless where I'm at) and I can proudly say there's no stench of dog whatsoever because everyone does their share. Nobody who works here has it in them to be able to walk past a mess without tending to it. That is a culture I always strived for but couldn't claim until now. If you're searching for someone to drop your babes off with and have a care free day knowing that we are listening to everything the dogs request, tending promptly to every detail, providing you with honest feedback, and exercising them to the fullest potential Canine Country Club is the place to be! I have been bringing my bulldog here for three years and have never had an issue! Phenomenal employees make the difference compared to other dog centers. Jesse and Sarah are excellent. They also are flexible with packaging and days you can book with them when it's convenient for you which is why I choose canine country club over others. The staff are great! Every single member that I’ve had any interaction with has been kind and the whole place blossoms with energy & happiness! If I say doggy daycare in front of Willow at home, she loses her mind with excitement! It’s a 5/5 from me!

Shiloh, our pup had been attending doggie daycare there for several months and loves it. He goes two days a week and on the two days that he's goes regularly he knows it's time to play with his doggy friends. The price is fair and the service and caregiving to our dog and the others is outstanding.

My dogs love going to daycare! The staff is wonderful here and play, love on and give lots of pets. Daycare also has fun posts on social media, contest and photo booths. We've also met some amazing dog parents through Downtown Doggy Daycare. I recommend them to everyone at the dog park!

I have called several times to schedule a tour or to get on a waitlist as a new customer. The girls that answer the phone are very nice but act like they have no idea how to process this request and always promise that a manager will call me back. A manager has never returned my call.

The staff at Downtown Doggy Daycare are all wonderful. Katelyn is over the top, so warm and welcoming. We love it and feel lucky to have found a spot for Lucy there. Outstanding 10 stars out of 5. :)

Shiloh loves going to Downtown Doggy Daycare for his two full days of care and fun each week. He gets in the car happy and worn out. I'm grateful for his being tired. As a puppy, he eases into the evening relaxed. We appreciate the staff and how caring they are towards him. The Pawgress reports are fun to get. Highly recommend D. D. Daycare!

My 2 Australian Shepherds had the most amazing time at Downtown Doggy Daycare!! They did boarding for 3 days. I got text message updates on how they were doing each day, and pictures! The dogs came home very happy and very worn out. I felt at ease with them there, and am very appreciative of how well they were taken care of! Thank you Downtown Doggy Daycare for taking great care of our pups!! Skye and Elsie will definitely be back!

We love everything about downtown doggy daycare. Our dogs have been going there for about 3 years and we couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. The staff is always smiling and happy to greet every dog, they know every dog by name and most owners. We look forward to all the fun events they have every month! At downtown doggy your not just paying for dog sitting or boarding it’s like a big family! Bronx can’t wait for Friday’s so he can spend the day with his favorite people and friends!

Downtown doggy daycare is great! My GSP has been going there for years and he loves it. He always comes home tired from all the fun that he had. The boarding service is also awesome. It’s good to know that we can leave him somewhere safe that he also loves being at. Highly recommended!

I've been bringing my dachshund mix here ever since he was 3 months old. He loves it! He always gets so excited when he realizes where we are. They always greet him excitely by name and he just eats up the attention. You can check out your furry friend on the doggy cam. They take terrific pics of your dog having fun also! I have one of mine enjoying pool time. The staff is extremely knowledgable and very helpful. I will be boarding my dogs in the near future and I know they will be taken great care of so I will not have any worries. I rave to my family and friends how much we love Downtown Doggy Daycare and I highly recommend them to anyone.

Our Dog Tank has been going to DDD for almost 5 years. He goes once a week, it is the highlight of his week. He loves seeing all his friends. He especially loves the summer months when he gets play in the water. The staff is very friendly, we also use their boarding services a few times a year when we travel.

Wish I had a good review, I was looking forward to having this place groom our yorkie as we used from for years in the past, the 1st red flag was when I dropped her off they didn't ask me for Vaccines, I gave her proper description of what I wanted done my dog's hair was long n NOT at ALL matted, I said I wanted 2" long and her hand only trimmed cuz I like her hair in penny tails, she said no problem. Picked her up and looks like they do as they please without considering your request. Definitely not the place for Yorkie.

Quality has really dropped since mother transferred ownership to daughter Kelsey. Kelsey is hard to work for and when you get a poor cut and talk to her about it she gets defensive. Nothing but problems the last 2 years especially when it comes to getting nails trimmed. Really disappointing used to be a good place to go to. Has really gone to the dogs......there are better places to go!

Our dogs LOVE being groomed here!! We bring in all 4 of our dogs & have a few family members that also bring their pups in. No bad comments at all!!! Everyone is super easy to work with, they’re super sweet, & are very patient with our pups. You can’t beat the price & you can’t beat the quality service. We wouldn’t consider going anywhere else.

We love Prancing Paws. My two boys always look so nice when I pick them up. I recommend them all the time to friends for their Puppers!

Reading other reviews it’s apparent this place does the same cut on all puppies. And you will be leaving you puppy in questionable care. I Wouldn’t! Beware! I wouldn’t post this bad review but now I have two puppies with the exact chopped up horrible hair cuts. But this one was just sad. He is a full size rescue Yorkie and his tail was left. It’s beautiful. I have to admit his hair was getting too long and there were areas matted, but when I rescued him, all matted, knotted etc they didn’t shave his chest and cut off his face like this place did. I even asked them NOT to touch his tail. But they capped the base. What??? What hair they left is cut choppy just like my other puppy. They didn’t cut his nails. The place stinks horribly and is visibly filthy. I am not even certain how kind they were to him. He was pretty depressed all evening into the next week. First picture is now. The others are b4. He’s still adorable.

This place used to be amazing with they price and pace everything was great. But recently the prices has sky rocket. I take my cats just for a simple nail clipping and it was always affordable but the prices went from $10 each to $20 each just for a nail clipping that is done in 10 secs. I'm sorry but that's ridiculous. Times is hard for us all I understand a $3 to $5 dollar raise but $10 in one month is crazy and I can't afford them anymore. Hopefully they understand they faithful customers and come back to earth.

I was so happy with the services we received! I took in our 13 week old female Bernedoodle, Echo, for her first groom today. I was a little concerned about having her ears plucked, but they use numbing drops and Echo hasn't shown any signs of discomfort, even after several hours. They were so sweet and calm with her and she looks adorable. When I came to pick her up, she was snuggled with the groomer and didn't really care that I was there, lol! The price was very reasonable and we already have our next appointment booked.

Loved my experience! I just got my dog Sebastian a little over a month ago and so this was the first groomer we went to.. they gave me exactly what I asked for and they were so nice and helpful.. I wasnt brushing him right and when they confronted me about it they were so caring and concerned for him... I know he is in good hands here. They showed me where I messed up and how to do it correctly for the future.. the price??! Cant freaking beat it either!!! We will be going here forever and ever lol and ever. THANK YOU PRANCING PAWS!!! ❤❤🥰 oh and while i was checking in a beautiful poodle came in with quite a spiffy hair cut. he os clearly a regular but guys!!! try them! dont hesitate!

You will not find a more loving group to care for your pet. Our elderly girl needed constant breaks throughout the day so leaving her at home during the work day was not as option. The crew at 4 Paws gave her all of the love and attention she needed. We are so grateful to 4 Paws for the above and beyond care they offer.

Take our elderly dog there for nail grinding and the girls are the sweetest people on earth! So caring and nice! Our dog is hard of hearing and 17 but they treat her like their own and are so gentle! Best place and best staff!

I use the Clive location. They do grooming, doggie daycare and boarding. We primarily use the grooming service, as our pups are all small. Lead groomer is great. They took Christmas pics of my babies. Great place.

Both of my dogs love 4 Paws! My German Shepherd is terrified of water, and 4 Paws is the only place that can give her a bath!( I think the groomer's name is Sarah). My GSD is slow to warm-up, but has really taken to the staff. I love watching the dogs on the live feeds, I always know that they are safe and having a good time. I would completely recommend them.

4Paws Clive has an amazing crew/staff! Their passion and care for all the dogs they welcome into their daycare and boarding facility is unmatched. They have wonderful groomers who take great pride in their work. Couldn't recommend your furbaby a better place to call their home away from home!

My family and I were so impressed with 4 Paws Unleashed when we dropped our dog off for 2 days. It was great to see him on the doggie cam and know that he was being taken care of. I love, that for a little extra money, they could provide him with a snack and some extra fun services. I recently made an appointment to have my dog get groomed. I would recommend four paws unleashed to anybody with a dog!

I was very pleased with most aspects of the time my pet spent at 4 paws. For some aspects, I was frustrated. I was very happy with my pet’s ability to play and I very much appreciated the live video feeds of the rooms the dogs are free to play. They always had a person in the room and the dogs were always supervised. The building was clean and the staff was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this place for boarding and day care. I was frustrated with portions of the grooming. I was also happy with portions of the grooming. As the information was taken from me, written down by the person at the front, and then given to the groomer, I believe this was a game of “telephone.” Further, this was the first grooming and of a dog breed I have not owned before. I will concede that maybe I did not properly provide the direction I wanted. However, from the questions I was being asked as follow ups while the lady completed the card for the groomer, I thought I was doing a decent job. For the next grooming, I know areas I want to improve upon and hopefully I am much better at relaying the directions I want followed.

This is a great doggie day care facility. They were kind, thoughtful and accommodating. We have a shy Havanese that does not like to mingle with other dogs so they put her in the grooming room where she could relax and just watch and observe the other dogs. The lady behind the counter must have a great memory because I watched her recognize three people and which dog was theirs, including me…someone who had just come in the day before. Price was free for the first day, then very reasonable the next day.

I get my two Pomeranians and my golden retriever groomed by Kirsta 💖 my pups love her and always come home looking so much cleaner and neater than they were when I dropped them off. I also love that the daycare option has a live feed you can watch online, checking in on the pups is fun! …

We take our dogs to daycare at 4 Paws Clive and the girls there take amazingly good care of Bailey and Stella. You can't fake the enthusiasm that they have for animals. The dogs come home absolutely exhausted (which is a great thing because they have more than enough energy to spare). We also board our dogs there when we're away and there's always a waiting list because so many dog owners trust their pets to the staff here. I would give them 6 stars if I could. We're very thankful for 4 Paws.

I can’t say enough great things about It’s a Ruff Life! From the moment we walked in, we knew this was the perfect place for our Biscuit. The staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about each dog that walks through their doors. Biscuit always comes home happy and well-exercised after a day at Its a Ruff Life. The facility is clean, spacious, and filled with plenty of toys and activities to keep the dogs entertained. They also have a fantastic outdoor area where the dogs can run and play freely. What really sets It’s a Ruff Life apart is their attention to detail and personalized care. The staff and management took the time to get to know Biscuit’s personality and needs, ensuring that she always feels comfortable and loved. We’ve noticed such a positive change in her behavior and socialization since attending. She even has a “pup squad” full of friends she plays with everyday! If you’re looking for a safe, fun, and loving environment for your dog, I highly recommend It’s a Ruff Life. They truly go above and beyond to provide the best care possible. We couldn’t be happier!

Our dog Sheba had a great time at It’s a Ruff Life. She played all day and was worn out we she returned home. She loved it so much there we had to drag her out the door to leave. This was one of the first times she has ever been boarded and they did a great job. I’m glad she had so much fun she didn’t want to leave. We LOVE It's a Ruff Life. Finn, our Wheaten Terrier goes there every time we travel to West Des Moines to shop, eat & play. We can enjoy our day or overnight stay as we are confidant that Finn is being taken care of & loved just as much as us. That is what makes this company a perfect choice for us. Just moving here from out of state we were concerned about finding the same amazing care for our fur baby. Ty and his team at It's A Ruff Life have met and exceeded our exceptions. Chance had a wonderful grooming experience and he just spent his first weekend. When we picked him up he was happy and clean (had another bath). The weekend staff was friendly, and really cared about Chance and his experience. You can tell this is more than a job for them. With all of the chaos around moving, finding Its A Ruff Life gave us a calm in the storm. And Chance has a new family to hang out with.

Our dog attends day care here at least three times per week and he loves it! He is a young boxer and has lots of energy and taking him here has been the perfect way for him to burn his energy. Highly recommend!

I never thought I would say this, but my dog loves to go stay at the boarder! Once she became familiar and comfortable after a few stays it became her home away from home. Any time I go out of town for work she will check in for a few days, she goes in with her tail wagging and comes out content and tired a few days later. I wish they had cameras so I could check in occasionally, I love when they post photos to Facebook. But the most important thing is that she wags her tail and runs forward when we enter the door, that seems like a doggy 5 star review.

I recently started taking my dog here for one off daycare days. She seems to have a really good time and be super tired when she comes home. Unfortunately, they do not have cameras or tell you how their day went when you pick them up. I would love some feedback when I pick her up so I can at least know how her day went and that she behaved. When I picked her up last time she completely lost her voice and could barely croak out a bark so I’m wondering why she was let bark the entire day. Overall a good experience just would love it if they had cameras. ***edited*** I changed my review from 3 to 5 stars. Izak the manager reached out to me and we had a conversation about my concerns. He was very nice and addressed everything I had put in my review. I’m super impressed by the customer service and he’s gone above and beyond. The other staff are always very friendly and kind to my pup when I drop off/pick up. Highly recommend!

Isaac and all of the staff are wonderful! Our pupper loves going to daycare and it has really helped him to be a much more social puppy.

Dog Days and Cat Naps staff are so great they always take such good care of our dog Toby ! The staff are so friendly and they keep everything so clean. Toby always comes home happy !

We love this place - our Saint Bernard, Leo, loves going for daycare as well as kennel stays. The staff is friendly, rates are reasonable and we haven't had any scheduling issues. Highly recommend.

Our pup loves this place. We have had her here for daycare, short stays and long stays. The staff are so caring and attentive. We have been to other places where our dog has been scared to go in even after multiple visits. That is not the case here. She runs in and wiggle butts to the first person she sees. She’s always worn out and eager to go back.

The care, cleanliness and knowledge of staff and grounds make me feel 100% dropping my 7yo grumpy gal at Dog Days & Cat Naps for daycare and extended vacation stays. And shes always so tired after a day of play!! Perfect solution on days I can't get her walks in and for trips we can't take her on!

My dog and my mom's dog had to be boarded for the first time ever last weekend. We chose Dog Days and Cat Naps because of the outstanding reviews they have. We were not disappointed! The staff gave me a tour beforehand and answered any questions I had. They took great care of Milo and Copper. They also had no problem with me calling while we were away to check on the pups. Definitely recommend!

This is the first time I ever boarded my dog. She's not around a lot t of dogs as well but when I tell you they treated my CoCo like she was theirs. The extra love and attention they showed her was beyond and above. I thank ALL the staff their especially Paris ❤️

We have boarded our 7-year-old whippet (medium dog) here for years. They are super easy to work with. I love that they provide food and water bowls, beds and blankets so we don’t have to haul them. The boarding costs are very reasonable even with daycare. And they offer half and full day daycare which is nice. Our girl is a lounger so having a half day of daycare is enough for her. I love that they have cameras to see all the dogs in the dog rooms. Even after a five day stay, our girl came home perfectly happy. They do a great job and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for boarding or daycare!

Do not have enough good things to say about this place… we had an emergency situation and needed 12 kennels with about 10 hours notice. Cory was a pleasure to work with, unbelievably accommodating and flexible, and the dogs were refreshed for the next leg of the journey. They have proved they care about animals FOREMOST, and if they can lavish this much love in one night for TWELVE DOGS your single doggy will be spoiled.

We boarded our nine month old puppy for almost a week with 4 Paws Unleashed and were absolutely blown away by their service. We were nervous - as our pup had never been away from us that long before and she was not super socialized with other dogs - and the team was thorough in asking us questions and preparing her for the interactions. They did an amazing job communicating with us online about her progress and gave us advice on training. They truly go above and beyond with their photo shoots and transparency. I would stop there - but the services you get for the price is also outstanding. So affordable and helpful. 10/10 can not recommend highly enough. We will be back.

We've boarded our 2 dane mixes three times at 4 Paws North now. The staff is great! The very first time we boarded them, I was so nervous! They voluntarily sent me pictures to reassure me our dogs were being well taken care of. They're very responsive over the phone and over FB. If they say they're going to call/message you back with an answer, they always do. I love that I can ask them for updates while I am gone and they're more than happy to. They personally know dogs by their names and owners which is cool. I've noticed they tend to have the same staff too. They're transparent with prices, which are very fair. I've never been "surprised" with any hidden fees like other places. They also have a good list of add on's like baths/nail grinding available while boarding. They do a thorough job with grooming and they come home so soft and smell good. My dogs have never gotten kennel cough while being there (they did at another boarding place the one time we brought them). Last and most importantly, our dogs LOVE going. When we drop them off, they're so excited, they care less to say bye sometimes. They will sprint towards the back, knowing what fun awaits. We've boarded our dogs once at another place that was supposed to be really nice but nothing compare to 4 Paws staff and services.

I have been taking dogs to 4 Paws for more than 10 years. We could not love them more. My dogs beg every day to go to daycare. The employees know them and me by name and care for them like I would. They accept their quirks and aren't afraid that they are large Rottweilers which are often viewed as a vicious breed." When we board them they care for them like they are their own. They don't hesitate when they need to be given medications and even help problem solve when one of them has anxiety that makes him a little destructive at times. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Both locations do a great job! When I needed to board my extremely needy cat for several days, the staff told me later that there was always someone working one-handed because they had Vash on the other shoulder. They also do a great job with grooming!

We boarded the "3" as the staff referred to them(in a loving way). Kai our big guy was a handful and then some for them. 4paws staff still went above what I expected. All 3 dogs came home with a bath and good grooming. Was our 1st time boarding our pups we were nervous taking them in. By the time we had checked the pups in we both fealt good about leaving them. Staff does a great job and you can tell they genuinely love dogs . Thank 4paws!

Dogwoods lodge is the perfect place for your puppy! They have the sweetest, kindest staff members who treat your baby as their own. Ms. Haley in grooming is THE BEST groomer ever. She takes her time and always does it right! As a corgi owner it’s important to find a good groomer and I will never stray!!

My dog loves Dogwoods Lodge. The staff gave my dog a lot of attention. The training is amazing. The trainers are really good. The lodging is unique. They are rooms that look like cabins. My dog was comfortable and calm in her room. That was a bit if a surprise since I adopted her from a shelter only a few weeks prior to her board and train. The staff are polite and understanding. I will be bringing my dog back for group training and for more private training. I have always trained my service dogs but I am so happy with Dogwoods Lodge training, boarding, and staff that I will have Dogwoods Lodge train my dog the service dog tasks needed. It is such a relief knowing that I have wonderful place to board my dog if I need to. I recommend Dogwoods Lodge with all my heart.

My two golden retrievers have gone to Dogwoods 2x a week for 2 years and 1 year (since each were puppies). The staff treat them like family and are always friendly and responsive to me. They love going there and are always exhausted when they get home from all the fun! My Goldens were also both trained by Page and she has works wonders with both. My 2 year old golden was recently certified as a therapy dog because of Page’s training! I would definitely recommend their daycare and their training!

We have a reluctant three year old Rhodesian Ridgeback who is mostly skeptical of new people. We've been boarding him at Dogwoods Lodge for about a year and a half now and they are very in tune with his needs and what's working or not working and are able to adjust to what will work best for him. Sometimes he does well with Buddy time and sometimes he needs one on one play or cuddle time. The staff adapts to his needs. I appreciate the level of care and attention he receives.

I noticed that they expire their daycamp “punches” when competitors don’t. They offer a discount if you purchase multiple punches at a time, only to expire them after 12 months. They told me that they do not reinstate them for anyone, despite already paying. We went there exclusively with our Aussie for the 3 years that we’ve had him, and planned on continuing forever, however since they have been unwilling to reinstate my 2 expired punches that I paid for, I can no longer trust them to do the right thing. I requested for the manager, Morgan, to call me but she emailed instead…. And when she was unable to answer a basic policy question, she stated via email “I don't personally make the policies or fully understand the reason for this policy, but I am required to enforce them.” I asked to discuss with the owner and I never got a call back. I never write reviews but I wanted others to know that they are the only place who expires services their customers have already paid for. I’ll be going to one of the many choices in the area from now on who value the dogs instead of the money. edit to add in response to the business reply: it’s not low at all to make the connection that your company cares more about money than dogs. It’s very prevalent in the policy that you still haven’t explained where you expire punches after a customer has already paid! That shows you value the customers money over the enjoyment and time spent with their dogs. It’s not hard to make that conclusion.

I highly recommend Dogwoods Lodge for any person wanting to have peace of mind that their dogs are well cared for while they are away! The staff is very caring and friendly, taking time to go over any and all details that will help them give your dogs the special attention they need. Report cards and text messages with photos keep you updated on your dog’s stay, and they are quick to call with any concerns about your dog’s health and well being…even after hours if necessary. We are grateful for their beautiful clean facility and awesome staff!

Our chocolate lab, Angus, has been going to Dogwoods for almost 4 years now. I don’t know who loves whom more, Angus or the staff. He knows the route and literally starts whining in the car as soon as he knows that’s where we’re headed. They treat him like their own and love on him so much. I really appreciate the report cards they send home with him every day so I know what kind of day he had and I can also watch him on the website any time I want. I can’t imagine finding a daycare that is better for Angus than Dogwoods!

Marinara had a 7 day stay and the staff was very attentive to my pup. Daily pics were sent and updates were given. Also any feedback or crazy requests were dealt with promptly. We will be back. Not the cheapest in town but definitely the best.

The staff at Dogwoods Lodge took such good care of Brynley and Buster! Brynley has so much separation anxiety, however she was excited to join her best bud Buster in the chalet. They both had a great time and was very well taken care of. I had no worries when we were away!

We decided to take our pups here on a recommendation from a friend who also has a husky. Our pups have gone to a few places in the area, but we were really impressed with the service and the prices are very reasonable. Our pups came home happy and healthy and we will be sending them back soon!

We love The Collar Club! Corey, Erin, and Patrick are awesome. Our dog loves to go to daycare and is so tired when he gets home. We've tried other doggy daycares in the area, and everyone who works at this one really cares about the clients and their families. The staff has worked with many rescue and foster animals, so they really helped our dog come out of his shell. I will say... it can be hard to get in if you're not a regular. I totally recommend The Collar Club to everyone.

We used to feel guilty about vacationing and leaving our dogs at a boarding facility, and our boys were never thrilled when we would drop them off... until Collar Club! They start whining and jumping out of excitement when they realize we’ve pulled into the Collar Club parking lot, and they LOVE the staff, so I know they’re treated very well during their stay. Our dogs don’t even look back at us to say goodbye when we drop them off. CC staff are incredibly knowledgeable and willing to accommodate your dogs’ needs. I love that CC posts tons of pictures on Instagram every day so you can check in with your dog. Highly highly recommend!!!

The Collar Club has done an awesome job with our husky pup, Opal! They did great at getting her to warm up quickly, and she comes home super tired and ready for a nap after daycare. They are very good at communicating with daily pictures/texts/posts on Facebook so we always know she is having a great time. We were recommended to come here by someone in our neighborhood, and we will be extending the recommendation to all of our friends! We will be using them for boarding several times this summer and feel completely comfortable with her in the hands of the staff at TCC.

Collar Club goes far and beyond the extra mile in caring for your pets. They are so wonderful and my dogs are so well taken care of and happy when they are there for day care or being boarded. You cannot do better. The staff is the best and love your pets as much as you!

Great experience! Left our two dogs for 8 days and nights. We had never left them anywhere, but one is elderly and the other very active and we wanted them to have more constant supervision and more activity than a visiting sitter could have provided. They both participated in day care with the other dogs and had so much fun (we followed them on Instagram), and I got to relax knowing they were in such good care. The owners are passionate about dogs and it really shows. When we came to pick them up we saw other dogs racing toward the building, excited to be arriving for day care, and that says it all. A terrific service we'll be using again soon!!

The Collar Club is one of the best dog daycare and boarding businesses in Des Moines. Not only do they wear out the dog (which is beneficial when you take them home) they really care and post photos to their Facebook all day so you can see your dog enjoying the time there. They are also super flexible and have worked with me in the past. Double recommend to all the dog owners out there!
