I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!

Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!

Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!

Lilly & Thomas
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.

I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. Martin and Caitlin are the best house/pet sitters we've ever had. They came fully prepared (they had read through welcome packet thoroughly before they arrived), they sent the best texts and pics to reassure us all was well, and the house was immaculate when we got home. Best of all, they treated Winston like family and he clearly fell in love with them. They are considerate, trustworthy, and detail-oriented. Diane and Les were excellent pet and house sitters. Jet was a very happy dog when we returned and Diane had shared many photos of their days together while we were away on holiday. The house was very clean and tidy when we returned and some milk , bread and sweet treats had been left for us, which were very welcome after our 2 long flights home. I’m sure most folks say the nicest things about their sitter, but honestly, if there were a “super star” status available then Denise would win the prize as sitter of the year! From the start, Denise was an excellent communicator. While we were still in the decision phase, Denise was always available to chat either by FaceTime, telephone or text. It was so easy to choose Denise; as you can see from her countless 5 star reviews, she truly is the only pet sitter you’d ever need and the one everyone hopes to have. Denise came to our house eager to meet us, our pets and the quirks of our house. Denise has an excellent sense of humor and immediately put us all at ease. Our pets took to her as if she was a long lost friend (even our finicky Siamese cat was loving on her from the start). While we were gone, our dog had a non-emergency health issue come up and just like that Denise was taking her to our vet, and administered the dog’s meds like a champion (Denise is also a nurse BTW). Additionally, Denise brought our pup to her scheduled groom appointments and even made future appointments for us to make our return home as seamless as possible. Denise was even above and beyond helpful to our neighbors and they appreciated her giving them access to our refrigerator when theirs broke down on Thanksgiving Eve! When we got home we were super impressed by how perfectly immaculate our house was! Most sitters leave the house clean, but Denise met and may have even exceeded our military standards of clean and orderly. Seriously, our house felt like we never left it. Everything was spotless, shinny and clean. She didn’t miss a beat!! Our pets were so happy to see us but honestly, I felt like our pup and kitty were disappointed when we walked in the door (I believe they were expecting to see Denise!). Haha. If you are ever fortunate enough to have Denise apply for any of your sits then I can’t recommend her enough. Seriously, you can stop reviewing applicants and just go with Denise. She was awesome in every sense of the word and I hope she’ll come back and stay with our pets again.

Brian is awesome - he is simply the best pet sitter and house sitter that we have EVER had and we've had a bunch. He is experienced, thoughtful, respectful, loving, appreciative, helpful, enthusiastic...the list just goes on. Started with our initial call - it was our first sit with zeewoi and he immediately instilled confidence in us in how he talked about his experience and how he saw his role. In the pre-planning, he had great questions for us and helped us to get organized. He was thorough through the instructions, came in a day early to make sure he understood everything about our house and our dog and then followed through on everything. He even drove us to the airport and picked us up on the return. Along the way we were gone, he sent us pictures and kept us updated - always making us feel good about being away and knowing Jorge and the house were in great hands. We had workers coming to fix a fence while gone and some other activity at the house - he was helpful, available, and willing to do whatever was needed to be done. He was self-sufficient and when it came time to leave, he had everything organized and cleaned at the house - he left it in better condition than he received it. We would love to have Brian sit whenever we are away (and in fact will invite him and hope he says yes!) - any one would be lucky to have Brian as their house and pet sitter.

Piper was a wonderful sitter and I would definitely have her come again. My dog .Winston loved her and was very happy while I was gone. When I returned home everything was orderly and clean, she changed her bed and washed all the towels. I totallly recommend Piper to sit at your home.

First things first, Linda is awesome! If she applies for one of your sits, you have to accept! This was our first time using zeewoi and is also the first time we have left our dog since we got him. Obviously, we were nervous at the beginning, but Linda removed all aspects of that. She is honestly one of the nicest, kindest, most polite people you will meet. From our first initial meeting, we knew that she was the sitter for us, and for Archie. The day that we left, Archie let out a little cry as we said goodbye. This was the first time he had done this (it broke our heart), but we knew he was in great hands! Throughout the week, Linda was extremely communicative. She would send us daily updates, share videos of their walks together, and send pictures of the two of them having fun. She spoiled Archie with love, attention, and a couple of new toys! When we returned, the house was in the exact same condition as we had left it, and was very clean and tidy. When Linda left, Archie ran to the door, started to cry, and sat/laid there for some time - And we think that this alone is a great reflection of the kind of person that Linda is. Linda – It was an absolute pleasure to host you in our home, thank you for everything that you did for us and Archie, and for making our first experience a positive and memorable one. Archie misses you! We hope you get the chance to do it again for us in the future.

Jim sat for my extremely shy rescue pup and new kitten for two weeks -- my pup struggles with new people, and is very fearful of men in particular. And yet, Jim was more successful with her than any sitter I've ever had: I can't recommend him highly enough. He has wonderful patience, a calm energy, and is a great communicator. He consistently updated me with photos and videos of my sweet girls enjoying the world with him, taking my dog on hikes and adventures to her favorite streams. He went above and beyond both for her (in meeting her needs and taking the time to get to know her personality), and also in caring for my home. I returned to such a cozy environment, a repaired wood stove, an organized wood pile and an at-peace dog and cat. Choosing Jim as a sitter is ensuring that your pets and home are getting the best of care, and his actions exemplify his kindness, generosity and thought taken in consideration of others. I hope to have him return many times in the future; the experience was a privilege both for myself and my pets.

Michelle arranged a meet and greet to ensure Freddy and Amber were comfortable with each other. Freddy then went for a trial morning stay which he loved. All went well and Freddy went to stay with Michelle and Amber for a week while we were away. Michelle sent lots of pictures and videos of Freddy to give us peace of mind while we were away, He settled in well made himself at home and had lots of great walks play times and cuddles. We would definitely recommend Michelle and I am sure Freddy can’t wait to stay again. 🐾
100000% recommend. Michelle is an absolute delight to deal with. Really responsive and reasonably priced (based on the area which can be really expensive). It was the first time us leaving our dog (nessa) with a house sitter whilst away on holiday, so we were slightly nervous. However Michelle made us feel completely at ease. She sent regular photos and video updates and took our dog on regular walks each morning. You can really tell Michelle loved what she did and it felt like home away from home for nessa. Michelle, Thank you so much for looking after nessa for us, we will definitely be using you again :)
Our puppy Pickle stayed with Michelle and lovely Amber for 5 nights while we were away. Pickle had THE BEST time, we couldn’t be happier with Michelle’s love and care. We had regular updates while we were away which were so brilliant to see. Pickle loved both Michelle and Amber so will definitely be going back, I think she will miss her new friends!!
Michelle looked after our 2 year old dog, who had never been away from us before. She immediately put us at ease by sending us photos and videos of him settling in and playing with her own dog. Extremely happy customers! I can highly recommend Michelle and her wonderful dog sitting service. On our short trip to the Lakes we needed someone to care for our dog Arlo for an afternoon. Michelle was quick to respond to my initial enquiry and put me at ease with her professionalism straight away. Arlo can be a little anxious when we leave him with someone new, but Michelle updated us with videos and photos throughout the afternoon which was a great comfort. This was my young rescue dog's first time away from me and I was incredibly worried about leaving him. He did have some separation anxiety but Michelle's gentle and patient approach helped him to settle very quickly - literally within minutes of me dropping him off, Michelle sent photos and videos of him relaxing with lovely little Amber! Michelle's home is spotlessly clean and cosy, providing a calm but doggy-friendly environment. She was very attentive to my dog's individual needs. Michelle and Amber welcomed Dennis as one of their own; he still jumps up and looks for Amber when I say her name! I wouldn't hesitate to call on Michelle's services again should I need Dennis minding - and I know he'd love it too!
Michelle looked after our 2 dogs (16yr old and 10month old) for 11 days. She really cares about the dogs wellbeing and did the best for them according to their needs - lots of exercise for the puppy and special care for the senior dog. We received updates regularly about their stay. Our puppy came back home calmer and she now "sits" and "waits"! I can't recommend Michelle enough!

I wouldn't send my dog to anyone else. Lesley has a unique understanding of dogs and their unique behaviours. My dog is very nervy especially around new people so I wasn't sure I could leave her with anyone. Lesley reassured me and the minute I saw her with Moky I knew she would be fine. It literally is home from home for Moky and she loves going on her holidays there and enjoying the long walks and refreshing dips in the streams. We've had great videos sent to us as well of her happily running through fields which was so reassuring.
Our 3 year old Border Collie stayed with Lesley at Wuf for a short break. It was his first time in kennels and he had a great time. Lesley is obviously an animal lover and an expert dog person. She loves spending time with her visiting dogs and they get plenty of time in the beautiful surroundings and have a lot of fun. Jack is booked in for 3 weeks shortly and we cannot recommend Wuf enough!
Would like to thank Lesley for a great service she gives at Wuffs kennels ,would recommend these kennels to anyone who wants their dogs to be looked after with a person who truly loves her animals .with outstanding views and fields for the dogs to run around and have great fun.The personal attention Lesley gives to each individual dog is amazing Murphy looking forward to staying with you again Thankyou Lesley .
My husband and I were visiting the Lake District for a wedding in May and a short break with our Labradoodle Roxy (aged 6 ). I found Wuf Boarding Kennels as we needed somewhere for our Roxy to stay for a couple of days, whilst we attended the wedding celebrations. I first spoke to Lesley directly over the phone. Lesley was very nice and easy to talk to, explaining how she ran her Kennels and confirmed she could look after our dog on the dates we requested. I had further contact closer to the dates to confirm there were no changes. Lesley on all occasions was pleasant and cheerful. Upon reading some previous reviews I felt confident I had found a nice place for Roxy, that she would be cared for and safe. Especially as this was the first time Roxy stayed here. When we dropped off Roxy, we were greeted by Lesley and a female colleague. They were both very welcoming and friendly. Roxy was immediately made to feel at ease with Lesley getting to know her and gently talking to Roxy. As well as introducing herself to myself and my husband. We did not feel rushed and time was given for us to have a look around and see where Roxy would be resting and exercising. We were sent a couple of video clips of Roxy playing ball and running around with other dogs staying at the Kennels. Roxy looked happy and content, with her tail wagging. Lesley also had her own dogs who were nearby when we dropped Roxy off. The whole atmosphere felt relaxed. We would recommend Lesley and her dog kennels to anyone. She was professional throughout my dealings with her and most importantly Roxy was kept well and safe. Thank you Lesley and if we are back in the Lake District and need Roxy to be looked after we will come directly to you!
We needed to use kennels for the first time in October for our 3 dogs, a 1-year old daschund, a 9-year old springer and a 14-year old working cocker. We decided to book Wuf boarding kennels after being recommended to us by a friend. From the first contact on WhatsApp with Lesley to arrange the stay, right through to the stay itself, everything was perfect. Communication was quick and easy. My million questions were answered straight away. The needs of the dogs were wholly considered….Ranging from a lively, mischievous disobedient pup to our old doddery cocker; Lesley put us at ease from the moment the dogs were dropped off. She posted daily videos of them playing together in the large play area with other dogs which was amazing and we looked forward to seeing them each day. I actually think our dogs were slightly depressed when they came home from their holidays!! Highly recommended.
Dogs are a great judge of character, and our 2 year old German Shepherd loved Lesley from the start. It was reassuring when we left Mya for the first time at "Wuf" to have a video sent, showing what a great time she was having. We wouldn't leave our dog anywhere else

I have used these Kennels for the last 4 years and would never take (Ronnie) my old tyme bulldog anywhere else! He absolutely loves it there as the ground are huge and he gets to run around with all the other dogs. Lesley always sends me videos to show me he's OK, the Kennels are lovely warm n clean and also have a radio to keep dogs calm x lesley is very reliable and always accommodate me when needed xx
Fantastic kennels, highly reccommend, had my dog & 2 other family dogs here for 2nights, 1 of which is a pup & another which doesnt tolerate other dogs, we hadnt quite gotten the 2 used to each other yet so were a bit wary of them being together without us owners, but to our suprise we had videos sent of all 3 of them aswell as other dogs running around, happily playing together. Since coming home the dogs are like 2 different dogs, running wild together, thankyou Lesley, you have worked wonders with them! We already have the dogs booked in another 3 times over the next 12months. Highly reccommend!
I would never leave my fur baby anywhere other than at wuf. She is not a sociable dog and lesley gives her one on one time and helps to familiarise her with other dogs I a safe and responsible way. She is always safe and lesley gives us regular updates on how she is doing. Our pupper is often sad to come home and loves going to wuf boarding kennels. 11/10 would recommend!!

Right from initial contact we knew they were the right people to trust our dog Milo with and to be part of our special day. Prompt communication, lovely people and all in all just an amazing service! We went for the platinum package with overnight stay and it was worth every penny. We knew Milo would be in safe hands and Nigel was amazing at ceremony to help Milo be the ring bearer and for photos after the ceremony. Ambleside Dog Walker are much much more than ordinary dog walkers. They are a package of care, fun, creative doggie doings, and great and interesting walks. When you first join their 'family," they make sure your dog is suitable, so i know that he's out walking with good dogs. My dog is like my.child, and I completely trust Ambleside Dog Walker to take good care of him and also provide a great deal of mental stimulation. They have made my dog's life very wonderful which also means I'm very happy. When I've needed them at the last minute, they've always stepped in. They are incredible. THANK YOU! Visiting the lakes for a holiday with my parents and wanted to see my uncle for a day but he's not a great fan of dogs. Enquiried for a one off day here for our two dogs and was pleased to hear Tamsin and Nigel could accommodate. Very helpful and informative leading up to the day. And was really impressed with their knowledge and professionalism when we handed our boys over. We saw some pictures at the end of the day on FB and from the comments it sounded like our boys had a great day having a trek in the local area! Will definitely be using them again for any trips we make up here again!
We were in the Lake District for my daughter’s wedding and needed day/night care for our 2 Labradors. After searching and researching we found Ambleside dog walkers. I can truly say what a relief. The team at ADW are absolutely amazing. Our dog Jeremy loves Thursdays because he knows he gets to see the team and go adventuring with his doggy pals.
