Dog Sitters in Smyrna, GA

We have been using Critter Sitters in Smyrna, GA for three years for our three dogs and cat. Our sitter is very flexible, trustworthy, and kind to our pets. We began using her for daily potty breaks eventually using her for in-home overnight sitting. We have a senior pet that can no longer be boarded and her help makes this so much easier for everyone! For anyone concerned with their dogs behavior: we have a GSD that isn't fond of house guests, so much that we were very worried this wouldn't work, and our sitter was committed to winning him over and befriending him. They are now besties :)

My experience with Bark, Park & Stay has been nothing short of incredible. The staff has been amazing and attentive, the facility is clean, the prices are unbeatable and there are cameras to watch your pups play, which is always a plus! I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff, though. Our puppy was scheduled for a temperament test one Monday but two days prior we had a medical emergency that led to a multi-day hospital stay and the manager so compassionately allowed my puppy to come in early so he didn't sit in a crate all day. It was incredibly helpful and she was so kind, supportive and warm, it brought me to tears. When I arrived, I was greeted with a much needed comforting hug, despite never having met. On top of the generosity and accommodating culture, our puppy was clearly in good hands - he left so happy (and exhausted, which was much needed!). He's gone back multiple times and gets so excited, he eagerly wines and trots right in. The staff have greeted him and sent him off with such warmth and love and he always leaves a happy, tired boy who can't even make it the few minutes it takes to get home before falling asleep in the car. Highly, highly recommend this amazing place!

Brenda and her crew are wonderful. Our pup has pretty bad separation anxiety, but he is always thrilled to come to Smyrna Bark & Lounge. They shower him with love from the moment he arrives and are able to get all of his energy out during the day. We are so grateful to have them and highly recommend them to any other dog owners in the area. Brenda and crew, thank you so much for loving our hyper boy!

I HIGHLY recommend Bark and Lounge Smyrna. This place is highly competent and compassionate. We have a 13 year old blind and anxious lab mix who has stayed at many boarding facilities in Atlanta. He would not eat and would be labeled as aggressive at each of these boarding facilities. He not only ate while at bark and lounge but was handled with dignity allowing him to not be scared. They took their time to figure out the best way to work with him allowing decreased anxiety and not being labeled as aggressive. We also have a Great Dane who LOVES doggy day care here. He has fun and I feel he is safe in the group the team put him with. If you are looking for a place that truly cares about your dogs and finds joy in caring for them this is the place. Gigi has been coming here since 2013 and loves it! Our family never has to worry about her safety or happiness. We all love it that someone spends the night there with the dogs, they're never alone! We highly recommend Brenda and her amazing facility!

We are long term customers of Bark and Lounge. We love how the owner knows our dogs by name. They’re always so excited to arrive and play with the Bark and Lounge staff. I always rest easy when out of town knowing their team is with our fur family.

Brenda is always so caring towards our dog and every dog she takes care of. She bends over backwards to accommodate us if we have a last second day care or boarding request. She is the only one we feel good about bringing our dog to because we know she is going to take great care of him

We have been going to this place for almost 7 years now. Our crazy little terror of Yorkie goes crazy as soon as we get on the back road that take us there. This little stinker knows we are going to Day Care and goes berserk all the way there. He loves seeing Brenda and everyone there. He has always been taken care of greatly. We truly have peace of mind and the cameras are there for whenever we miss him and want to see him. I have also boarded him there for a week when we travel. This is the first and only daycare and boarding facility my dog has felt comfortable. I have a dog with severe separation anxiety. She used to tear up her blankets and bedding wherever stayed. She no longer does that. There are times my dog will just sit in front Brenda asking for pets before we leave. I can tell my dog is well loved and cared for here. They answer all of my questions when I am out of town.

We started using Bark & Lounge last year after our other boarding facility not only raised prices, but started charging separately for daycare and boarding (if you didn't pay extra for daycare your dog was in their kennel all day like what the heck?). Bark & Lounge is in a great location, has extremely fair prices, knows our dogs by name and is always excited to see them. We even have an extra-large pup who has medication in his food and they take such good care of him. Plan on being a long-time customer, but you do need to book in advance because they are so good at what they do!

We love Puppy Haven Smyrna! My dog loves to play at daycare and can’t wait to get through the doors in the morning. We just did a 6 day lodging experience for the first time and it was great! I was out of the country and was sent daily photos/updates. All smiles! All the staff members I have met are helpful, kind and very loving to my dog. Highly recommend!

We love sending our dogs, Maverick and Mia, to puppy haven!! We have tried so many other boarding and daycare places where our dogs have almost always come back to us sick, and/or with pee and poop on them, and just not well taken care of. Puppy Haven may be more expensive than other places, but it’s worth it and they’ve never gotten sick and always smell fresh from being wiped down when they come home. They also upload so many fun pictures of the dogs throughout the day on their instagram which makes my heart happy and comfortable that they’re having a fun and not just locked up all day. They also offer a sibling discount which is GREAT since we have two dogs. Definitely worth it!!

We’ve never had a puppy love daycare as much as Dolly does. She lines up at the door every morning to go. We have two dogs with two very different personalities and really appreciate how well everyone takes care of our fur babies when we travel. Duke and Dolly will see you soon!!

My puppy Blu LOVES going to Puppy Haven in Smyrna. He is only 6 months old and finding a doggy daycare that I felt comfortable bringing him to was tough but after his first time there, I knew I wouldn't choose anywhere else. I absolutely LOVE Puppy Haven! It’s been such a blessing to be down the street from where we live. Denver comes home so exhausted from playing with his friends all day. I absolutely love the staff at Puppy Haven Smyrna — they always welcome us and say hi to Denver from the minute he walks in. My dog loves going to puppy haven in Smyrna! He has so much fun and gets great care when he goes! I know he is in good care when I leave him for overnight stays! They also take some great photos of him!

Both of my dogs, Lily (1 year old beagle mix) and Rosie (4.5 year old Dachshund mix) have been going to Puppy Haven for about 3 months and absolutely love it. The facility is very clean, the play and boarding areas are spacious, and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. Every time I walk into the lobby to drop off both dogs they are greeted by name, and are so excited for a fun day ahead. I love that I can check in on group play on the cameras during the day and see pictures on social media posts. At the end of the day both dogs come home happy and tired. Lily is in the group program where she loves playing with her friends. Rosie gets easily overwhelmed, so the custom program, where she is by herself in an apartment for most of the day with potty walks and several individual play sessions, is the perfect fit for her. What’s very special to me is that on days where we bring Rosie and Lily in together, the staff makes sure to take Lily out of group play and let her join Rosie when it is time for Rosie’s play sessions, so that the two get to spend time together. Puppy Haven truly cares about the pups wellbeing, and we can’t wait to bring them in again in a few days.

We Love Puppy Haven! Our little guy has the time of his life here, comes home just exhausted from all the fun and playing he does. Great and caring staff, we have only experienced the Smyrna Ga location, but he can attend any one of them with his monthly daycare package.

Our dog Oscar loves Puppy Haven. He gets so excited in the car when we pull up for daycare. His tail wagging and excitement barks always let me know we made the best decision to send him to Puppy Haven.

My dog LOVES Happy Paws. I’m not big on doggy daycare or even dog parks in general, but we knew we wanted to use Happy Paws before we ever even got our newest puppy. Everything is very secure and they seem to have thought through every doggy daycare “con” and addressed it. Each dog has a custom collar with their name and your phone number on it (I personally know people who were given the wrong dog to take home at other facilities) and each dog goes through a behavioral assessment before becoming a member. The owner and staff seem very dog savvy and I feel 100% comfortable handing over my dog (especially since he doesn’t even glance back my way as he runs off to play with his friends).

My dog loves to go to Happy Paws, especially on water days! Ms. Cathy always greets her by her name and she runs back to her room, which makes me feel good about leaving her. Also, I love the special days like Halloween Photo Booth and the bone hunt. Thank you Happy Paws for making doggy day care fun!

My 10 year old Yorkie has been coming here since 2016. He loves camp so much and so do I because he gets all of his energy out and is exhausted for a whole day afterwards. We even drove from Locust Grove ( and hour away) twice a month when we moved down there for 2 years..

The front office staff and the handlers are great I really love and appreciate all that they do for my dog. I have been bringing my dog to Happy Paws for years and I love this facility. I love the way they are so kind and affectionate toward my dog they are extremely nice, helpful and friendly.

My dog has been going to Happy Paws as soon as she was ready as a puppy. She is now 6 years old and runs to the door as soon as I say "Camp". The entire staff is the greatest and it is very obvious they all love the dogs there. No higher recommendation is possible.

We have been boarding our dogs here for almost 3 years. The staff has a great system down and everyone is friendly and caring. Shout out Canady! She always makes us feel loved and welcomed. Lindy is also wonderful! The vaccination requirements and safety protocols make me feel so safe leaving them there!

This place and all the staff are a gem! I am an anxious young woman and was worried to board my dog. After Ellie’s (my shy cockapoo) first initial trail day i was so happy to hear she had a wonderful time! Multiple staff members reported that Ellie had a blast during doggy group time. For the holidays she is having to stay longer due to family travel. I signed up for the puppy postcards and it makes me so happy to know and see shes having fun! One of five pictures added here. Some of the staff even sent selfies playing with her! Upon her return just a few days later she was wagging her tail excited to go be social with her puppy pals! Overall the prices are wonderful. I love the extra services provided as well! Exit bath had Ellie smelling like a fruit cup haha. Cant recommend this place more!

My baby is always happy to go to daycare, I have never had a single problem, all the employees are very sweet and take great care of my pup, I trust them to take care of him both for daycare and boarding, they have fun and cute dynamics, we’ve been customers for almost two years, I’m so glad I found them because I really don’t trust anyone to take care of my baby.

Excellent services pet & customer service. Took my dog in for the first time being in GA and I’m already planning my next visit. They took care of him so well. His full groom came out AMAZING!! And they even allowed for him to do a meet and greet at the daycare part free of charge. They are absolutely awesome and I am definitely coming back!!! Also, they have great communication with the pet owners. Pet groomer called me to be sure of the cut I wanted for Rocco. And it was better than what I could’ve imagined.

I’ve taking my oldest dog to APR for 5 years and can’t say enough about the company. The friendliness of the staff, their attention to detail and the cleanliness of the facility are the reasons I remain a loyal customer. I want to give special recognition to Canady who goes above and beyond to call of duty for me and my dogs. She is the epitome of someone who understands what great customer service entails.

I only went to this place because everywhere else was booked up for weeks but after my first visit I won't be going back. The place was 45 minutes from my house and when I arrived I was told I needed paperwork for proof of my cats vaccinations. This is something they could've said in the confirmation email or on the website where you book. I had to drive 45 min home and back again to get the paperwork. Not only did I have to drive for 2 and a half hours but I pick up my cat and it doesn't even look like he was groomed. He smelled good and his nails were clipped good that's why I gave the 2 stars but I can tell he wasn't brushed because I pet him in the car and my hand was covered in fur. So I brushed him myself when I got home and so much excess fur came off with only 4-5 strokes. And they didn't even dry him before putting him back in his carrier. It looks like they got him wet sprayed perfume on him and cut his nails for $75.

Today, I brought my dog, Gus to Atlanta Pet Resort for half day “dog dayplay”. After 5 hours I went to pick up my Gus, I asked the lady at the front desk how Gus’s day was- she nonchalantly answered, “he mostly slept today since the dogs were separated due to a Bordatella outbreak”. Alarmed, I frantically asked how they managed to keep all the dogs for playdate separated and she brought me to the back and to my horror led me down a dark hallway (see pictures) my dog isolated in a kennel. My dog, Gus, is my child, I have had him since he was 8 weeks old. I don’t even own a kennel- as there is no need. Gus is 3 years old and well behaved. I work from home and bring Gus to dayplay for socialization and stimulation, as I am aware he can grow weary of just my company after a few days. Dismayed, I asked if he had been in the kennel all day. She responded, ’“we took him out by himself once!” Maternal instincts trickled down my spine, as I bolted out of there. All they had to do was tell me, “no day play today” or “we can board your dog and he will be kept by himself today, would you still like that service.” Furthermore, I was never told about the current Bordatella outbreak. Gus is vaccinated, but nonetheless, I have a right to know of any active infectious diseases running rampant at a facility I am entrusting my dog’s care to. Unfortunately, they did not divulge any of this and I blindly dropped my dog off thinking he was going to have a fun afternoon. My dog, along with everyone else’s dog that was there today was mistreated; they had no access to water in their kennels and the staff admittedly only took my dog out one time in 5 hours. Disappointed is an understatement, I thought my dog was playing with other dogs, socializing, having fun. It pains me to think about what else they have done without me knowing and at the expense of my dog. Not surprisingly, without my consent they charged my card $22, for my dog to stare at a wall for 5 hours. Sounds like they are hurting for cash and choosing to exploit peoples beloved dogs to make ends meet. Not the type of place I want caring for my furbaby or your furbaby. Please do NOT send your pet here, if they won’t show you the back dog play area—- there is a reason. Sad 😔

Horrible Horrible experience. Will NEVER use them again. We were quoted a price, then when I dropped off my dog I was told no it will be an additional $5 a night because she they didn't have the chance to "evaluate" her. Ok, no big deal...but then got the invoice and we were charge an extra $10 a day.....then I was told when I called, pack up any of her favorite toys, bones, blankets etc but when I dropped Stella off I was told no she can't have the bones or toys I left but she would be given her favorite blanket, yet the blanket was still in the bag and not with her. I was also told to portion out her prescription dog food. I provided 7 individual bags (1 per day) as Stella is a grazer...I bag lasts her all day at home. But 3 days into her being there I get a message that she only had 2 bags left could they fees house food...ABSOLUTELY NOT, she has bad allergies and giving anything but the food provided would be really bad. But when I picked her up I was told she was out of food (1 gave very detailed instructions of how and what she should be fed, which we ignored by 4 different people). All in all Horrible experience and as stated I will NEVER USE THIS PLACE AGAIN! If you love your pet and want them cared for, use a different boarding place!

UPDATE***************I LEFT THE REVIEW BEFORE THE INVOICE VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! So my son picked up my babies on 6/29. They charged my card on file for the services. I was expecting to pay what I've been paying less the discount for nail trimming . My total bill was RIDICULOUS!!!!! I left a message addressing my concerns. I received a call back, but missed the call. However, someone left a message stating someone would call. I waited until after the 4th of July no call. I called back left another message addressing my concerns. Still no call back. I also use this location for boarding with no complaints, but this lack of communication is very unprofessional. So now I have to take my business elsewhere. you don't treat your consumers this way. I've also heard other customers complaints about this particular groomer with prices. I would never bring them back for grooming services, but now I'm concerned with boarding, and daycare. I must note my babies weren't at their worst . Let just say I had different prices each visit and I never said a word, but the MARKUP is unacceptable. I MUST speak up. I will dispute the charges. I’ve been bringing my fur babies to Atlanta Pet Resort for boarding and grooming services for sometime now. I must say the staff is very friendly and understanding of your pet needs . My visit for today was grooming for my boys Coach and Kobe. I have to say each time they look great. However this time they looked like “show” dogs. My Aussiedoodle is a bit to handle. I truly appreciate the time and patience the the groomer and staff have with him. This is the BEST job by far . Thank you so much!

My dog (and I) are huge fans of Atlanta Pet Resorts! We are there most days for daycare, where they will play fetch with her for hours. She's super high energy and she has a great time running around all day. We also use APR for boarding and I never have to worry about her care. Quinn and the team take great care of my pup, I can't recommend them enough.

Alex & Wolfsong Petsitting have been the BEST. Alex truly loves your fur babies as if they were his own! I am so incredibly lucky to have Alex helping us out when we have to leave the furbabies behind. He has become more than a pet sitter… He is Smokey & Peaches’ “Uncle Alex” … They love Alex so much & we are appreciative for his help. Even in a pinch, last minute, he’s helped us with Drop ins🐾 ❤️🐾

I have two senior chihuahuas who can be aggressive with strangers. After struggling to find someone who could handle them, Alex was a lifesaver. He came over and got to know the dogs before I went out of town. While I was gone, he stayed with them and provided regular updates. It didn’t take long before the dogs were literally eating out of the palm of his hand and snuggling with him. He did a great job taking care of the dogs, but also went above and beyond as a housesitter. I’d highly recommend him.

Alex consistently gives us the best dog sitting service. He responds quickly, always shows up on time and sends us pictures and video while we're gone. We have 3 dogs of different ages and sizes. Alex is an animal whisperer! He took such great care of our cats. In addition to the basics of feeding and litter box cleaning, Alex spent time with them and sent pictures so our minds were at ease. He is the best!

I just had the most selfish thought. You know when you discover something so special that you want to tell everyone, but at the same time, you don’t really want to share? This is how we feel about Alex! With Alex’s help, we are able to leave town, or even the country knowing that our dogs could not be in better hands. My family and I went on vacation for 2.5 weeks. For the first time, we had to hire a service to take care of our cat, Athena, because we were going to be gone for so long. I was a little nervous, but Paws Amore did a fantastic job. Melissa sent photos every time she visited along with a quick blurb about how Athena was doing. Upon our return, Athena was very happy and healthy. I would highly recommend Paws Amore for pet sitting needs.

The team at Paws Amore is amazing. They are responsive, flexible, and so lovely with my fur baby. One time, I had a camera on in the house and I watched Linda come in to see Jasper - not only was Jasper over the moon to see her, but Linda was just as excited to see him! She never looked at her phone the entire time she was with him - only to send me a text message with a photo of Jasper! I've had a great experience with this team and couldn't recommend them highly enough. I wish there were 6 stars!

Paws Amore offers reliable and attentive services that one should expect from a professional petsitter. Every sitter that has visited with my cats has been communicative and friendly. They deliver what they promise and I never come home from a trip worrying about how my cats have been care for.

These walkers are Great! My main walker Linda is so sweet and any time she has had a substitute they have been just as great. Very loving and they send me a text with a picture of my puppy and cat every time they visit. They are very flexible with my ever changing schedule too. We had been using the same pet sitter for years but found we need more structure for Georgia and Maci. Paws Amore is the best, very personal service that you can tailor to fit your needs. With older pets it is nice to get daily updates on how things are going, what they are doing and just know that when we are not home they have their own "special friend" visits and really a vacation too.

What peace of mind to know our precious pets were being played with, fed, and cared for during our vacation last week. We got a text every time from Jonathan with photos of them, and it we could see they were content. He did a great job and when we returned home, the floor was clean (our dog always leaves a trail of food around her bowl), the water and food bowls were food, and he had left our newspapers and mail on the kitchen table. I have no concerns about my kitties when traveling now, I find them since July 2018 and during summer and winter break let them take care of my two kitties. After each visit I receive photos of my kitties and it comforts me a lot. Only one complain is the office told me they will take away the litter but actually he didn't, might because of mis-communication

I take my dog (Sally) here to board whenever I leave out of town for work or vacation. The owners are very nice and you feel like you really get the personal touch here as opposed to other places I've gone to. Sally always comes back happy, smelling fantastic, and I'm just super pleased with them! They are the best!

I'm a dog trainer in the Cobb County area and I can tell you the owner is a stand up guy. Sometimes when I'm overbooked for training camp, he lets me use a huge area in the back of the business for some of the advanced training I do. Because of that I have actually been inside the facility and all around it many times on many different occasions, dropped by expected and not expected, and from my own observation can attest that it's a good place to bring your pets. I also know that the owner has had this business for many years with many happy customers, I see them all the time when I'm there, and I've even taken my own dogs to board there with no issues. I live all the way in Roswell, but gladly travel to this spot because it's worth it.

I love this place. I’ve been bringing my dog here for boarding and grooming for a couple years. The owner is a genuinely nice person and very knowledgeable about animals. He has taken my dog at the last minute, informed me she had an ear infection and helped me treat her at no extra cost (I had the medication sent via Amazon), Once even accepted my dog when he was actually closed. He didn’t even hesitant he knew it was a honest mistake on my part. Had he not done that I would have missed my flight. I’m still so grateful for that.

AMAZING! Great at schnauzer hair cuts and even made me happy with a schnauzer hair cut with a Mohawk! Love them and love how they take care of my children!
