We have been taking our dog to the Ruff House for over a year now. They treat her just like we would, and have really helped with her socialization and training. She loves the daycare, and we also regularly use their grooming services. They are truly wonderful, I recommend them to everyone!

We love The Ruff House in Greenbrier. The employees are happy and excited when you drop off and very efficient when you pick up. We tried another daycare near Great Neck in VA Beach (near my office) and had problems with our pup being bit. They blamed him saying he wasn’t reading social cues from the other dog. He did his temperament test at The Ruff House and they said while he did get amped up once (he’s a year and a half old), he was very good at social cues. He hasn’t had any issues. I believe they have more supervision and interaction with the staff. We have been so happy that our boy can get to play with his friends! He is tuckered out after a day of play! (He’s the yellow lab)

The Ruff House has been amazing! My Leti girl gets so excited when it's time to go in for daycare or boarding. I can trust them to treat my puppy with love and care. The report cards and pictures are a plus as a first time dog owner. Thank you Ruff House staff!

Staff is super friendly - never had any issues with booking, communication, or follow-up questions. I love getting pics of my puppers playing with other dogs her age during boarding. They always take care to keep her with the other grey-faced older dogs, knowing puppies are just too energetic for her. I always feel secure knowing my dog is being cared for while I’m away.

We take our dog there regularly for enrichment, daycare, and boarding. He always comes home so happy. The people there are wonderful and deeply love all the animals in their care. I can’t recommend them enough.

They give us so much peace of mind and reassurance that our sweet 2-year old dog, Fiyero is receiving the best care possible while we are away! The team is always responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. They constantly go above and beyond and show an authentic love and care for all the animals they are caring for. Fiyero is always excited to go to overnight boarding, and he always comes home well taken care and in great spirits! I just moved to Virginia and wanted to find a safe enriching day care for our dog. The Ruff House (Chesapeake) is amazing. Our puppy Pompeii has a great time there and comes home tired and happy. They feed him and make sure he’s an environment for his temperament. When I drop him off he goes with the handler no hesitation! They post pictures of your pet to your profile and cute report cards. Reasonable pricing too! I love this daycare and so does Pompeii

I have nothing but good things to say and would recommend their services to anyone. My dogs (and even my cat) love it here, and I never worry for a second when I leave them in their care. You can tell everyone is very passionate about caring for the animals, and the business is run efficiently and professionally.

My two babydogs, Rocky & Hazel, absolutely love it here when they are boarded. The care is top-tier which I appreciate as a loving & highly protective dogmom. My pups mean the world to me and I have so much peace of mind knowing they’re in great hands while I’m away. I also greatly appreciate the photos seeing them at play with other dog friends. My 13-month-old golden retriever recently began attending daycare, and I have noticed that he is quite fatigued when I pick him up. However, I am pleased to see that he is actively socializing and developing his confidence. The staff at the daycare has been exceptional; they are highly professional and demonstrate a deep understanding of how to handle and care for each of their clients.

The team at Top Dog really cares about your pups (they took very good care of mine, even when 1 was sick and needed emergency care when I was out of town). They are easy to communicate with and reliable and just wonderful people. I highly recommend Top Dog for walking and sitting. They are trustworthy and reliable, they took good care of my 2 big dogs while we had getaways and helped us with walking Ace who needs lots of exercise. Wish we could still use them in Virginia Beach but understand why the commute is not feasible. If you need a petsitter/dogwalker in Norfolk they are definitely a great company to hire

My husband and I just moved to the area a couple of months ago. We reached out to Top Dog Walk prior to our move so we could have dog walking services set up quickly after our move. Amy was very responsive to our emails and set up a meet and greet right after our move. It was such a relief to know that we found a great company to take care of our dogs. It's a breeze to schedule online, and they are also great with last minute requests!

Great Service!!! Amy truly cares about each and every dog she and her walkers take care of and ensures both the owners and dogs are extremely happy. She was very responsive to our requests regarding feeding and care for our dog and responded quickly when we left messages if she was not able to pick up the phone when we called. She also really helped us when we had to go out of town last minute. Top Dog Walk is a great service I recommend to everyone.

I ended up booking with Top Dog Walk after my previous dog walking service stopped working in the Ghent area and recommended I switch to TDW. As a person who sometimes requires a last minute booking, I was apprehensive about their "two day prior" scheduling policy. However, they were always very accommodating and it was never an issue. They are a wonderful group of people who gave me much peace of mind about my unruly dogs! Plus, I love coming home to a little note about what they did that day. ❤️

I've been using Top Dog Walk for several years now whenever we're away for long weekends or vacations. They take excellent care of our large, energetic dog! The owners (Dana and Vijay) are well-organized and you can tell they really care about what they do. Prior to the first visit, they set up a meet-and-greet and send out email confirmation of your scheduled visits. They post Twitter updates and leave a "report card" at each visit, which I just love. We tried several kennels in the area before finding Top Dog Walk and our dog always seemed so sad when we dropped her off, and was stressed out afterward (she actually broke out of her cage at one place!) Needless to say, I feel so much more comfortable leaving her at home knowing that she will get long walks and lots of attention from Top Dog Walk! I highly recommend them!

I've been using Top Dog for over a year, and I can't imagine not having them around. I no longer stress about needing to rush home to let my pup out. She's always content after Top Dog has made a visit. Dealing with a tunnel to and from work I can have peace of mind, even when traffic is impossible. Their ability to be flexible, due to changing schedules makes them very convenient. A report card is left behind, in order to let you know the details of your furry child's walk. When able, they tweet a pic of the walk, which I love. Most importantly, Dana and Vijay, Top Dog owners, always make themselves available for questions/comments. All in all, its a great service-reliable, trustworthy and they leave behind a happy dog. Highly recommend!

After an initial snafu with scheduling a consultation, Dana worked diligently to regain my confidence in Top Dog Walk. My husband and I met with her to discuss our pet sitting needs over the holidays and we are incredibly glad Dana didn't give up on us as easily as we gave up on her. Her pet sitting service did an AMAZING job. Our Butkus can be a handful but, Dana and Paige were great with him. They were very patient and attentive and did a great job of sending us updates on how he was doing while we were away. We are very thankful they took the time on Christmas Day to care for our pooch and will definitely work with them in the future.

I have used Top Dog for over a year and have been thoroughly impressed with their services. Not only to I find them to be extremely professional but I am also deeply touched by their personal care when caring for my dogs. I have an elderly chocolate lab that requires some help getting up and down the stairs and other older dog aliments. Top Dog Walk has always made a point to care for my dogs just as I would and I greatly appreciate them for that.

This team has been what we consider family for years.The faces might change but the core of there values stands tall. You have to be a true animal lover for this kind of work!! Be it daycare or boarding for family travel,they are top notch !! FYI, the love in that bldg is STRONG AS EVER !!

My dogs have stayed here multiple times over the last several years, and the staff always talked about how wonderful they were when we dropped them off and picked them up. A couple of the staff the last two times even got in the floor to play with one of our dogs both times we brought them in for drop off. We didn't even make an issue out of one time being boarded one dog came home with kennel cough and the other had a ripped pad on his right front paw, or this past time when we picked them up and one of them had a broken claw on his right rear paw that was so sore he was limping. Now they have decided to let us book our dogs, then call days before we were supposed to leave for a trip to tell us they wouldn't board them anymore due to our dogs' "aggression" and how they make the staff nervous. When asked why they didn't bring this up the last time we picked them up from be boarded for a week, we were told, "Sorry, we have a new manager." When asked why they are just now calling with these fabricated notes when they had been booked for a while, we were told, "Sorry, we have a new manager." When we then accused them of doing it because of the breed, they didn't even try to deny it, and they again told us, "Sorry, we have a new manager." Never again will we do business with such an untrustworthy establishment.

I have been coming to this place for a few years now and I would love to just say how much better the new manager is doing with this facility. They have special occasions during the month for the daycare dogs and even have treats for the dog parents. Keep up the good work home away from home. Im impressed

Love this place. The Doctors and Staff truly love pets and are wonderful to work with. They take the time to answer all your questions and concerns. My pet loves them.

I'm way overdue on writing a review for this place. It's spectacular and I'm so glad we found it. We moved to the area earlier this year and were looking for a new boarding/daycare facility. When I called the first time, they spent at least 30 mins answering all my questions and talking me through their policies and procedures. I showed up unannounced a few days later and they gladly gave me a tour of their facilities (which is a sign they have nothing to hide). My senior pup wasn't quite a fit for the daycare environment, so they worked with me to set up a day boarding arrangement where she goes each week and hangs out in the kennel for the day so its part of her routine and the staff is familiar with her and vice versa. Recently, I boarded her for a long boarding stay and noticed on the camera that she seemed a bit anxious. I called and spoke with the team. They immediately went next door to talk with her vet (another plus of this place is that the vet is right next door) and worked out a plan to get her additional anxiety meds. The following day, I checked in on the camera and saw a staff member sitting with her in her kennel giving her belly rubs. The rest of her stay was smooth sailing. I could go on and on about how much they love my girl. She loves going to "doggie school" each week and I'm so grateful to find a place that loves her as much as I do.

We've been customers for the last nine years. We brought our shy puppy here and were amazed how he came out of his shell. He gets excited when he knows he is going to daycare. We feel extremely comfortable with the staff who go out of their way to make the pet's time enjoyable. The vet office next door is great peace of mind. All of the little things over the years really add up to a great experience. And even though our new puppy is a handful, the staff looks forward to seeing both of our fur babies. Such a great place for boarding or daycare! They really are family to our pups, truly another home away from home.

The staff is awesome, polite and professional. I started out boarding only and now I have my little guy in day care 2 days a week. Overall, my experience with Home Away from Home has been excellent. My dog seems to love going.

Our Chihuahua, Bill, had a great stay. Everyone was really warm and kind to us upon arrival and when I called to check on him, they were very helpful and gave me a nice report. He was calm and happy when we picked him up. I would definitely recommend Home Away!

The lady Kathy, who works the front desk is very rude and impolite, and she also treats people of color differently than other customers. It’s almost like she couldn’t be bothered with them

I boarded my diabetic cat here for several days and they were great. Very up front with extra charges for meds. They also gave me good info on how he did in their care. It was obvious that they really cared about my cat and all the other pets coming and going.

We have recently started using 9 Tails Pet Care for twice daily visits for our two dogs and new puppy, and we could not be happier! Keke is a consummate professional in her running of the business and the app provides excellent communication and timely updates. Our pups love both Keke and Angel, who always ensure that they are exercised and engaged during the duration of the visits. Absolutely five star experience that I cannot recommend highly enough!

Keke is wonderful. She has stayed in our home on two separate occasions and our pets love her! I'm so very thankful for her patience with our new puppy who is definitely a handful! And for giving up her time to stay at our house with our gremlins.

We have 4 cats and hired 9 Tails to come check on them every morning while we were gone. We got pictures and a great rundown of everything. The app is easy to use, Keke was great with the cats and very responsive to messages and overall great to work with. The prices were incredibly reasonable especially compared to rover and other independent apps. Will be using 9 Tails Everytime we leave

We hired Keke to walk our dogs and she was fantastic! Her communication was great and she even provided pictures and videos of the dogs on their walks. My dogs can be shy around new people but Keke took her time with them and they warmed up to her so quickly!! Overall I was very impressed with her care and will be booking again 😊 …

We recently started hiring 9 Tails Pet Care to take care of our 16 year old dog, and we couldn't be happier! Keke and Angel are wonderful with Didi, and she loves them. I highly recommend them.

9 Tails took care of my cat (Sam) and my daughter's cat (Spud) so we could go visit family. The care both animals received was wonderful, I got daily pictures. Though both cats were very shy. My cat Sam hid under our bed and Spud was nowhere to be found when she came in LOL. Food was filled daily and the litter boxes were cleaned at each visit. Highly reccomend them!

9 Tails Pet Care has been doing an amazing job taking care of our furbaby, Yumi, while we are away for work. Working full-time with long hour of shifts, makes it hard for us to fully cater our baby dog’s needs. Gladly we found Keke and tried her services! It is very evident with the picture updates and in the camera, how much our dog loves their walks outside. They make sure to give her treats and a fresh bowl of water every after the potty break. Keke and Caitlin are very professional, passionate and definitely knowledgeable about dogs and with other animals. Keke is a Godsend!!! Keke and Angel were great to work with! They took great care of our two cats and followed the directions I provided. They took the time each visit to complete the daily care tasks and also give the cats lots of attention and love. 9 TailsPet Care is a fabulous pet sitting/walking company. Keke and Angel have been so wonderful and patient with our dogs. They have done it all; fed, walked, pet, cuddled, and house sat! The after visit feedback and pictures they share with us show how happy and well cared for our dogs are. We are so lucky to have found such a great company.

Our mom decided to leave us for 10 days and go on vacation. Can you believe it she left us at home! Well we are sure glad she did! Julie, Wende, Debbie and so many others took us for walks, played with us and gave us such the best ear scratching and belly rubs! We enjoyed posing for all the great pictures and videos to send our mom daily to let her know we were being spoiled. All the treats helped too! They even kept all of our mom’s plants and flowers watered! Christine and her team are truly the best in taking care of your fur babies!

Cannot say enough good things about this company! Christine was so easy to coordinate with prior to our arrival and Debbie was our dog walker. She came over the day before to meet our two boys and we felt comfortable with her immediately! She came over for 3 visits while we were on a fishing trip and sent pictures/videos each time and updated us about potty breaks and feedings. Highly recommend working them!! Hi! I’m Roy….but Ms. Debbie and Julie call me Roy the Good Boy! These two loving ladies (along with a few other great folks) regularly come walk me while my mom and dad are at work. They give great belly rubs and are super patient with my constant sniffing and stopping at every mailbox. When we get home, they fill my water bowl and give me treats. Ms. Debbie takes the best pictures of me and can always capture my goofy smile. I know she sends them to my mom to let her know I’m safe and sound and super happy with my visit. I would recommend OBX Dog Walker to all my dog park friends. They are the absolute best!!

OBX Dog Walkers does an excellent job. Commutation was great. Our 1 year Old Shepherd Kaos was in great hands. We even got text messages after each visit with the first one having a little video. We did not want to board Kaos but didn’t want him alone for hours. The crew at OBX Dog Walkers were kind and friendly along being professional. Would definitely recommend them and call on them again!

Excellent service and people. We had never used a service like this before, left our two dogs for 3 nights, had an initial problem with one of the dogs having "stranger danger" but Christine and staff handled her tenderly and competently. They communicated well and are definitely dog lovers. We are totally pleased and will definitely be a repeat customer.

We have 2 cats who both have special dietary needs and one who takes medication daily. We have used OBX Dog Walkers to take care of them for several trips over the past year and are very pleased with their service. They respond quickly when we reach out to schedule visits, and the sitters send text messages with every visit to let us know all is well. Christine and her team have been taking care of our rescue pup, Stormy, for over 2 years now. They’ve been such a Godsend. Because it’s a whole team, we’ve never had an issue where they couldn’t cover the walks they promised. In fact, they’ve even been able to cover some extra walks when we gave them advance notice. Also, they have been communicative about any concerns during their time with our girl. And, many of the team members send pictures and great updates during walks so you still feel connected to your pup, even when you have to be away. Highly recommend!

Christine & her staff are wonderful! When we moved here, i was so worried about who i could trust to care for our Ollie & Sheila when we are away. They are very dependable & reasonable in their fees & they always help us even if an emergency notice! So glad we found each other!

I can not express my gratitude towards this absolutely lovely place. I have special needs dogs and they really delivered the extra care for them. Each person I have met there has bent over backwards to make sure our dogs were taken care of and had the best experience. I would highly recommend if you have not tried them out for your boarding needs, then do so! My dogs stayed in large suite and they really were the happiest I have seen them when I picked them up. It was so much better than traveling with them. I will be using their services again. So impressed by the expert care here! Kudos Eastern Pet Company! You guys deliver the quality service of a home away from home! Thank you so much! I think Charlie, Baby Girl and Little Man actually miss these guys today after I picked them up yesterday. They have been pouting a bit. I’ll be getting rid of my Chewy subscription to support this facility from here on out. Elizabeth City needs these guys to stay in service for the long haul!

Wonderful place! Our English Bulldog, Ollie and our cat, Phoebe Anne stayed for 5 days. The facility is immaculate. The staff is so nice. I highly recommend Eastern Pet! We picked up two happy and stress free fur babies!! ❤❤❤

I came in for the first time here looking for some flea supplies feeling really discouraged with the whole situation I’ve been dealing with. The man working here was so incredibly helpful. He gave me information on many products and had so many great tips! I left feeling great! You can’t beat a store with knowledgeable, friendly staff!!

My 10 month old has been coming here since was 5 months, and she will be a lifer. Rita is amazing with the dogs. Her set up is amazing. She keeps the bigger dogs separate from the little ones so the little ones don’t get hurt. She has awesome playgrounds for the kiddies to climb and vast amount of land for them to run. Providing you bring your pup’s good, she gives them breakfast and dinner. The kiddos also have a nap time. My baby met her best friend there; that are now inseparable. For those who complain about the owner’s pickiness on what breeds are allowed, it is her prerogative: SHE’S THE OWNER!!! 🤔 I know put bulls, since I see that’s the main complaint, and, yes, they can be gentle and wonderful with people. However, when they get into playing rough, they don’t realize their jaw strength and locking. So do some research yourselves. The owner has been wonderful and works with me if I’m running late or need to bored my pup last minute. I truly hope she stays around for a very, very long time.

Rita and her team are amazing. They care for our dog Beau like he is their own! Every morning Beau is by my side ready to go to his second home for day care! Best place ever! From the second I brought my 10 month old Catahoula/Beagle mix she was smiling and happy. When we picked her up she was happy to see us and exhausted. The fact that she was a bit dirty only proved to me she played well. Great prices and lots of room for her to run. I will be taking her regularly to burn off all that excessive energy she has.

Not worth it!! This dog daycare has the shadiest yard full of crappy home made "agility equipment/dog equipment." The crates for the dogs are way too small for any dog bigger than a corgi. The owner will complain about your dog if it plays with other dogs. She also doesn't know what 2 dogs playing looks like, says they are fighting. She has clearly never seen grown dogs play. I've taken my dog to countless parks and not once have I ever had to yell at him for playing too rough neither has my girlfriend! Usually it's other dogs playing too rough! Definitely not worth the money, like all she does is sit there, it's not that hard to watch dogs play all day and make sure they have water. Then to have her b**** and moan about what your dog does. He's a dog. Let him be a dog!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I brought my dogs here 5 times over the span of one month and each time I dropped them off the owner had something rude to say. This daycare is nothing more than a glorified fenced in backyard with hazardous junk all over the place. I liked the fact that they were outside all day until I saw the inside facilities. There were a couple medium sized wire kennels that my large dogs could barely lay down in. But I figured it was okay to bring just during the day for daycare- I NEVER boarded them here (and you shouldn't either unless you have a small dog. Even then I would advise against it). The last couple times I have picked them up they were quarantined by themselves. If I wanted them alone in a backyard I could do that at home for free. Today I was asked to not bring my dogs back because they play too rough and get the other dogs excited. THEY'RE DOGS!! I have two high energy young dogs that play a little rough with one another but would never hurt another dog or person. They've been to countless dog parks and 3 other daycares in different states I've lived in and they have never had any issue getting along. My one dog was used as the Trial Day Dog at her last daycare- if new dogs didn't get along with her, they weren't allowed to stay. So that just goes to show how ridiculous this place is. The ONLY plus to this place was how cheap it is. But I guess you get what you pay for. Save your money and send your dog somewhere else.

This is the only place I'll board both my dogs at (11yr Cocker Spaniel & 4yr Toy Poodle), Once I get out the food container, bedding and say the words lets go see Nanny they know where they're going and get anxious to leave. Once we get to the family dog club facility they can't wait to get out of the car, they run straight to the gate. This tells me a lot about how they feel about the place, sometimes they run inside and don't look back to say good bye. I travel 1 to 3 weeks at a time 2 to 4 times a year and I can’t see myself boarding them in a place that keeps them locked up in kennels for 20 hours a day for 1 to 3 weeks at a time. Here it’s open boarding, to them it's like going on a long doggy park trip. They get lots of exercise while interacting with other dogs for the entire day, this means they will get dirty, which I’m OK with knowing they are moving around freely just like at home. I just give them a bath once back home. They sleep soundly for a few days once back home recovering from all that exercise. Best prices I've found. This is their home away from home when I have to travel.

Family Dog Club is a fun experience in a professional atmosphere. And not just for the dogs I mean. Humans actually enjoy it as well ! The training rings are quite large and are changed around often, as opposed to one ring with one setup. The dogs actually has to think as opposed to just one the dogs eventually just do by memory. They also board dogs & have 'Doggy Daycare' & w/ only "top-of-the-line" care. Last but not least, the owner and staff are down to earth and could not be more honest and friendly. They will actually tell you if they think their Club or daycare is not the right fit for your dog & you rather than keep the dog coming and have a frustrated dog and owner. To run across that kind of honesty these days is amazing. I guess I could have just said in a word the family dog Club is; "Amazing"!

Blue Sky Farms is simply the most amazing place for your pet to go. All of the people are so friendly, loving and wonderful people. I had a emergency happen and hands down they were there for me and my dog (Lump). His owner had just passed away and they took her in to help me as if she was their own. I can't even put in words how blessed and grateful I am for them. I will praise and recommend them to everyone. Thank you all for what you do there for ALL animals.

We have been using Blue Sky Farms for several years now to care for our baby while away. He is diabetic and requires insulin twice daily and they have taken care of his needs. A big Thank You to BSF!

Jeannine and the family are like a second home to our little girl. When we show up she starts wiggling with excitement! With dependability and consistent schedules, and fair rates, I know I can turn to her and feel safe leaving Luna as long as she has room and we reserve in advance. The updates to the facilities are outstanding! Climate controlled boarding areas, small pools, fantastic toys, couches, and genuinely caring people. THERES NOTHING ELSE YOU COULD WANT! Long Ridge Road is the place to go! Update...its been a year later and I still wouldn't change one thing on the review except I wish there was another one in Tennessee! I don't know what we will do without them!

We have boarded our 70 pound Golden Doodle at Blue Sky Farms of K9 Country Inn since she was a puppy. She is treated so well in their care that when we are taking her to board, we tell her she is going to Camp and she gets excited. The people there treat her as family. She gets plenty of outdoor exercise and socializes with similar size dogs. The staff is professional and knowledgeable in the proper care and handling of dogs. The facilities have always been clean and maintained well. We would not consider leaving our pet anywhere else. We have the highest confidence in her treatment and care.

Great value in the packages that they provide, love the half day option. Jeannie and her staff are amazing with the dogs. The renovations that have been made are amazing, our pup Luna always comes home happy and tired. Thanks Jeannie.

I adopted a 5 month old Mountain Cur dog. So cute BUT out of control. I dreaded coming home. Blue Sky Farms saved me. Cali now walks on a leash, does not chase my horses or kill anymore chickens/ducks. She stopped chewing on me as a bone, does not attack/jump on visitors. I am so happy I found you guys and you were able to perform miracles. My other dog (Lucy) even likes her now.

We just picked our dogs up after "their" vacation at Blue Sky Farms. The kennels are clean and spacious. We enjoyed the Facebook pictures and posts. Our dogs were happy and well cared for while we were away. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. We will definitely use them again.

The kennel was great. One of my two mastiffs had an open wound that happened the day before I left for my trip. They took care of Sarge and I am very grateful. Five star service, both dogs came home smiling.

We have been boarding our dogs to Blue Sky Farms for over 5 years and we love it. Our Pug is getting up in age, and does not play well with others. The staff go out of their way to pay extra attention to him during his stay. Our dogs usually stay an average of 10 days, and they both come home fit and happy. I would like to thank the staff for taking such good care of our two "babies."

We take our Bloodhound and GSD for grooming, boarding and the occasional Day Care. The owners are excellent trainers and knowledgeable of dogs. One of my pups is not overly social. Blue Sky team is able to handle her and give her the chance to play with other animals, something I do not trusted others with. My pups are always super excited to see me, let's me know they enjoyed their time with the Sky team.
