Dog Sitters in Southern Grampians

My dog has massive separation anxiety (it's mutual) and when I picked him up after a four night stay, he was happy, healthy and his kennel was still immaculately clean, showing great regular hygiene practices. I will definitely be bringing him back again. The team are great and took a genuine interest in his welfare.

Great place to leave our Akita for a week or so. She always comes home happy and with a more relaxed attitude to other people and dogs. Lisa and Ross are very experienced dog handlers and breeders and the dog runs are clean and have plenty of room for exercise. Dietary requirements can be catered for. Highly recommended!

10/10, Very clean and well presented facility. Owners are very helpful and went out of their way to look after my dog Bree. Pets deserve a good, safe facility with their own run and air conditioning. Most impressed with very caring owners. Wonderful hosts for our pets, who recently looked after 40 extra pets evacuated from the local fires. Very much appreciated, especially as Lisa and Ross had covid at the time. You are great people.

Always take great care with our dogs & accomodate us however they are able. Clean & caring. As hard as it is to leave our dogs when we go away, we take great comfort that they are in safe & secure hands.

Our dog had a day visit at the Plumtree kennel, on arrival at 8am as arranged an older women greeted us as an annoyance, was curt & rude & wasn’t at all interested in our dog , it was this pen or that one you choose we opted for a heat lamp as the pens were wet as they had just been cleaned & it was cold . We ended up cutting our day short in the Grampians due to the woman’s demeanour . On our return she made out she couldn’t remember what dog was ours which if that was the case is quite concerning but in the next breath apologised for being rude to us in the morning, her reason was she was running behind time but still continued to be abrupt & rude . Our girl was cold & the blankets we supplied were wet, we couldn’t get her out of there quick enough. Our dog has been minded many times and always came home happy & enjoyed her time, this wasn’t the case at Plumtree !!!!! 🔉RESPONSE TO OWNER 🔉 you where in the office when we arrived the only staff we saw was a younger girl cleaning the end kennels when we went through to the kennel area & we certainly didn’t disturb her more than saying hello, contrary to your reconciliation back in May your now replying in July . We were on time at 8am as we left the caravan park around 7.50pm it took roughly 8 minutes to your kennels as we drove to your kennels the day before so we knew exactly where you were & time it took. You told us the first kennel would not getting any sun and it was freezing that day, it had nothing to do with not being good enough for us but wanting the best for our dog for the day, so thats your assumption on us ! We choose the kennel you said would have a heat lamp on throughout the day & would dry the wet floor & keep her warm (we will never know if thats true ) except our dog was wet & shaking when we picked her up . In theory your kennels are in a great area so that visitors with dogs can see the Grampians NP however you are a extremely rude women & I could’ve said a lot worse about your facility having been locked in the kennel with you because the door was so dodgy when picking our dog up. I stand by my honest & fair review & I would not recommend your kennel !!!

This was our dog’s first stay at a kennel and we were hesitant. We found the team to be accommodating and friendly and the edge of the bushland setting was peaceful and clean. Marley was healthy and happy after her three night stay and we particularly liked that we could take her own food, toys and bed for her stay. We would use Plumtree again!

Thank you Lisa for looking after our blueheeler X, Margot whilst we explored the national park! We were able to see exactly where Margot was staying and felt very comfortable. We use Lisa and Ross now whenever we go away. Our dogs are well loved, looked after and genuinely cared for. They keep the kennels very clean. 100% recommend.

This was our dogs first stay in a kennel. It was just for 6 hours while we visited the Grampians. The people were nice and the kennels were clean. Only $20 too. A lot of dogs there barking but our dog slept in his bed the whole time haha

perhaps there needs to be accreditation for dog kennels (not a resort!), if so I imagine this one would fail.

Emma goes above and beyond when caring for your animals. Nothing is to much for her and she treats your animals as though they are hers. We've used Emma for both pet visits while away and doggy daycare. Could not recommend Emma (and her lovely mum at daycare) more highly. You know your pets are in the best hands and won't even notice you arnt there when Emma is taking care of them! I think given the choice, our pets would have had Emma for pats and cuddles all day long!

Emma is an absolute angel who goes above and beyond to care for our pets. I can never thank her enough and would highly recommend Pets and Pads to everyone!

Rang these people at 4pm. They open at 3pm, said we will get back on a message, left my details and nothing. Called landline again 2 days later during the morning opening time and left another message, nothing. Rang the mobile, same recording, leave a message. From the tone of voice on the message I would say the woman is not really interested. And not a good attitude, time to retire dear. Then I saw the bad reviews. Oh dear. Give them a miss.

Couldn’t be more disappointed with a first time stay for our beloved Labrador. After a 4 day stay looks like she hadn’t slept the entire time and the owners couldn’t locate her 2 favourite toys when we picked her up. With the promise of sending them to our address asap we have not received them. I have called and left messages 5 times over the last 2 weeks with NO response. Never again!

We had our 2 french bulldogs stay and will never be back. Couldn't see the kennel. Packed all the puppers own meals in portions. Picked dogs up early and noticed they hadn't had there blanket or toys. When we arrived home 1 was throwing up. Checked the bag and noticed to many dog feeds left. Obviously forgot to feed them. Now a day after being home they have the runs. Never had a problem with my dogs until now. Cannot contact them either seems to take all day to get a reply. Avoid at all cost

If I could rate it a 0 I would, I left my blue heeler here for 3 days and when I came to pick him up he smelt really really disgusting I can’t even describe the smell and it definitely wasn’t the dog smell dogs have, my dog barely has any smell to him so when he came back smelling like how he smelt we were really disappointed, his leash was brand new and was white and when we came to pick him up the leash was all wet and turned literal brown. He had not been exercised properly as when he got to the motel we were staying at he was running around the whole place, I’ve also noticed that ever since he came back home he is constantly barking and he is now reactive to people out of nowhere we have never had this problem with him as he wasn’t a loud dog and only barked when he heard a loud noise outside, he now barks 24/7 and my neighbours have also complained about the barking and is also really Suprised as we have had him for 5 months and we never had this problem before until now, do better DONT send yours dogs here

I feel confident in keeping my Kelpie dog in the hands of professional staffs at Mutts and Mugs in Portland. He always looks happy and well looked after when i go to get him. Good location, reasonable price. Highly recommended.

I've used this place many times over the past 9 years and have been happy with the care of my dog. However the last time the young girl on duty seemed uninterested. When I went to pick my dog up a week later it took 20 minutes of bell ringing, searching and two phone calls to try and locate the Animal Attendent ( same young girl) to fetch my dog. No explanation of why the delay .

My pets have been going to Portland Mutts and Moggs for many many years. My cats had an extended stay while I moved house (first time they hadn’t been with me) and I think I was much more stressed than my cats were! They were able to stay together and were wonderfully looked after! I’ve seen how Nicole and her team care for their guests and have nothing but praise for their patience, empathy and genuine care. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

This place deserves 0 stars when I dropped of my dog I had a very bad feeling but I decided to ignore it but when I came to pick him up he was barking at me he also bit me once and my dog was never like this he was super aggressive my dog is okay now and very friendly but I had to retrain him just because this place didn’t take proper care of my baby I’m very upset my dog was super friendly then came back attacking everything this place does not know how to look after dogs pls do not drop of your dog here it’s a disgusting place and I also noticed many spots where my dog had no fur but when I dropped him off he was in perfect form I’m very disappointed shame on you do better

Exemplary care! Mutts N Mogs have an excellent setup of facilities and layout. Dogs have lots of room and are given plenty of exercise. Cats have lounge rooms! Staff know their stuff and are easy to work with, very happy to accommodate pet requests. Definitely recommended.

Karryn from the wedding sitter was great! The whole process was very smooth and faultless. We did not have to worry about a thing, she communicated to our other vendors in regards to our first look with our dog. Carlos (dog) was super well looked after, and presented beautifully with a nice little bow tie and lead that matched our colour scheme. Karryn was very good at getting carlos into the photos without jumping all over us. When the photos were finished Carlos was taken home, fed, played with and given some treats all before bed. Thanks so much Karryn and the team at the wedding sitter. Would highly recommend them!

We had the incredible Elly from The Wedding Sitter join us on our special day to look after our beautiful dog Hadley. Elly was so easy to work with, she was fantastic with Hadley and incredibly, Hadley was the most well behaved she’s ever been. Elly ensured that Hadley was comfortable throughout the entire day and kept us informed of what Hadley would be doing and where she would be at certain times throughout. We could not fault Elly and were so impressed with how great she was with Hadley. By then end of the day, Elly became one of Hadley’s favourite people. Additionally, Elly provided us with some sneak peek photos she took throughout the day which were so gorgeous and so special. Karryn was terrific to work with and we would highly recommend The Wedding Sitter to anyone interested in having their fur baby be involved in their big day.

One of the best decisions we made on our wedding day was hiring The Wedding Sitter. Karryn was super responsive from day one and was fantastic to deal with. The whole experience was seamless and is so much easier than getting a family member to miss out on parts of the day to pick up and drop off your pup. Lauree, who looked after our cavoodle Obi for the day was unbelievable. Obi can be a bit anxious at times, but he felt comfortable with Lauree from the moment she picked him up. Obi was dressed in a cute bow tie and looked very smart! Lauree even got Obi to pose for photos which we sometimes find impossible. If you need someone to look after your pup for any event, The Wedding Sitter is the way to go!

Karyn and her staff from the Wedding Sitters are amazing. She is so.easy to get along with and nothing is too much trouble. As soon as I met Karyn I knew my babies Harry and Maggie would be in the very best of hands. Karyn the service you provide and the attention to.detail was amazing. A huge thank you to Lauree from The Wedding Sitter! Lauree is an absolute gem and we cannot thank her enough for the incredible care she provided to our dogs, Fletcher and Flynn, on our wedding day in remote Gippsland. Having Lauree there to look after our furry family members was a huge relief and allowed us to fully enjoy our special day without any worries. She made sure Fletcher and Flynn had everything they needed, from water to comfort, and made it easy for them to be a part of our celebration. It was such a comfort knowing they were in good hands and still able to be with us on our big day. After the festivities, Lauree took our dogs back to the Airbnb and stayed the night with them, ensuring they were comfortable and well taken care of while we continued partying well into the night. When we reunited with them the following day, they were happy and relaxed, thanks to Lauree's attentiveness and care. We are so grateful to Lauree for going above and beyond to make sure our dogs were safe and content throughout our wedding weekend. Her dedication and compassion truly made a difference, and we cannot recommend her and The Wedding Sitter service highly enough. And thank you to Karryn for making the entire booking service seamless and easy!

We could not recommend Karryn and and her team highly enough! Our two girls were so involved and well looked after on our wedding day. We had Amelia who even wore tinsel in her hair to part take in our Christmas theme. Amelia also snapped some of my favourite pictures of the day. Very highly recommend.

Me and my beautiful bride, could not be happier with the service from the team at 'The Wedding Sitter'. We were lucky enough to have Laura look after our beautiful Patch (fox terrier) and Custard (border collie), on our special day! Laura was amazing with them. She picked them up, dressed them, cared for them as guests began to say hi, transported them between locations, and medicated/fed them dinner when she took them home. Laura went above and beyond to ensure that our fur babies were cared for and prioritized. We will be recommending 'The Wedding Sitter' to everyone in the future. Karryn and the team are amazing. We have two very energetic German Shepherd dogs and they worked with us to ensure they were there with us on at our first look. Our photographer loved working with them too. Thank you so much for being there with us - you guys were like apart of the family! Not only do we recommend having your dogs be there with you on your wedding day but get someone to help make that happen and Karryn and the team are just the people to do it x

The Wedding Sitter was the first vendor I chose for our wedding, almost two years prior and six months before even getting engaged! We never for a second questioned having our dogs involved in our wedding, however having a highly-reactive rescue dog did make it much harder to get it done. When we first enquired, we explained our situation with our rescue dog Gus and Karryn assured us that being vet nurses, they were experienced with dog behaviour and knew it wasn't always rainbows and butterflies, and that they would assess his behaviour throughout the day as necessary. We had a meet and greet with Elly and Laura a few weeks before the wedding and talked through every little detail they might need to know for the day, and thankfully, both our dogs seemed to be very comfortable with them both. Phew! We still weren't sure how Gus was going to react to the unfamiliar environment on the day, but both dogs were on their best behaviour and greeted all of our guests with smiles on their faces! Seeing the dogs and knowing it was all going well was the best part of our day. Elly and Laura were amazing before the day, on the day and afterward, and were so patient with our other dog Lily who had been quite sick that week and needed various medications. We loved hearing all of our guests gush about how good the dogs had been and we can't stop watching the videos the girls took of them greeting everyone. THANK YOU Elly, Laura and Karryn for your tremendous help in involving our babies in our wedding day. It was just so special and to anyone unsure if their reactive dog can still be part of their day, definitely get in touch with The Wedding Sitter!!!

Hiring the Wedding Sitter team to look after our beloved fur children on our wedding day was the absolute best decision my wife and I made. Hannah is the sweetest person and our dogs couldn’t have survived the day without her. We really appreciated the care and amazing customer service the team provided us in the lead-up. We flagged that our puppy is really anxious especially around strangers, and the team promptly organised a meet and greet at our house to familiarise the dogs with Hannah asap. She was so observant, asked so many questions, and was really patient with our puppy when he was going crazy. There ended up being a lot of chaos on the wedding day - lots of rain and thunder as well as a last minute venue change. Sadly the dogs were a little forgotten amongst the chaos but Hannah was there and the dogs were in really good hands with her. She was their best friend that day and it was a huge comfort knowing the dogs were well looked after. They were her priority and she spoke up for them when the photo flashes and flurry of people got too much for them. She even managed to win over the anxious puppy. We also received a lovely card and some dog treats from Hannah after she dropped the dogs back home. Such a sweet touch and we’ll cherish the card forever (the treats are long gone). We will definitely be going back to Hannah and the Wedding Sitter for all our events in the future.

Bec and her little dog Poppy have delighted us with the excellent care and attention given to our spoodle "Honey", our home, garden and pool on four occasions now, always giving us complete peace of mind while we are away. Her regular and amazing photos of Honey and the "over the top" enthusiasm that Honey greets Bec with each stay, leaves no doubt as to the special care and attention she gives her charges and her genuine love of animals. Bec is a lovely person and completely dependable, and I cannot recommend her services highly enough.

DONT SIGN HER WAIVER!! It’s not a waiver it’s fine print that allows her to charge you $100 if your 10 minutes late!! I had a 2:00pm & the way I was treated for being at your home at 2:38pm (my gps is accurate) is disgraceful!! First thing I did was apologise for trying to find my way down her side street & To quote you "well I'll be charging you as per my policy of $100 no show for being more than 10 minutes late because this is my business and it's my policy" I am at your door within 10 minutes & you are standing there questioning the 2 minutes it took to get the dog to your door for those 2 minutes and you want to charge me $50 for your staff to stay behind!! On top of your exorbitant $100 price for a dog hair cut!! Mind you are located in a SHED that echos that loud my mums dog wouldn't want to go in the gate!! You should treat people nicely especially when they are a new customer trying to find your shitty side hustle / home shed business!! & u know we were there within 10 minutes!! u were just busy! & thought it would be easier to tell me that my options were you take our $100 and make us pay for your staff another $50?!! Or just take our money and call us a no show as per your own made up policy where you argue what time is it really when people show up more than five but less 10 minutes late!! Funny part is you then had the nerve to send me your account details and ask for $100 no show fee LOL

Our dog is groomed by Ebony and the team and they are so good with him. They're always friendly and show him so much love and care. They also did pet sitting for us for our wedding and brought him to the venue it was so special and a real weight off our shoulders knowing he was so cared for when we had a lot going on as it was!

Ebony, Rachel and Bonny have now been walking my 2 x crazy pups for a year now and they couldn’t be happier. Even waiting patiently at the door for them to arrive for their walks. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with them. Also their App is extremely helpful with tracking of walks and updates for overnight stays. Highly recommend this amazing small business in Ballarat VIC. 🙌🐶❤️

Stace is absolutely amazing and always so helpful! We trust her completely with our pet, and even our cat loves going there – it’s a real testament to how caring and attentive the staff are. The pet boarding facility is clean, well-maintained, and you can really tell that the team loves what they do. It’s a comforting feeling knowing that our furry friend is in such good hands. Highly recommend!

Stacey and her staff cared for our 5 furr-babies for a week. We aren’t used to leaving our family members in a kennel / cattery so had reservations. Seeing the facilities and meeting the staff on drop off was very reassuring. Our pets were extremely well looked after, fed high quality food and upon our arrival for collection I was very pleased to note that their kennels were still very clean with clean litter trays. I have no doubt they were treated like an extension of Stacey and staff’s family.

Jax has boarded with Stacey twice and is booked again for his 3rd holiday. The facilities are excellent and staff fantastic. He is walked twice a day and receives lots of treats, cuddles and attention. The food served is of high quality. We would certainly recommend Stacks Pet Paradise to anyone looking for a Cattery or Kennels for their fur babies.

My Dog had never stayed at a kennel before, I didn't have to worry at all as he was in great hands! All pets are loved and cared for, walked daily and kept safe. Receiving regularly photo updates of my dog was comforting. Highly recommend taking your fur baby to Stack's!

Daisy has the best stay with Stacey and the girls! It was only her second visit to a kennel so we were highly anxious, but once we spoke with Stacey and saw the premises we knew she was in safe hands and would be well cared for. She came home happy and refreshed like she had been on a holiday to, she looks forward to her next stay!

We boarded our older cat at Stacks for a week over New Year's. He has dietary requirements and is highly anxious when away from home (definitely a more high maintenance guest to say the least, sorry team!). Stacey's level of communication and the care provided was above and beyond. We will only use Stacks from now on after this experience!

Stacey and her team took exceptional care of our 2 Great Danes for 8 nights. Their room was large and had access to an outdoor area. They were walked daily and clearly fed well. The photos were gorgeous and we will definitely be returning. Thank you!!

We can't recommend Stack's Pet Paradise enough. Our cat had a wonderful stay here recently and was treated like royalty. The daily updates, pics and videos were really appreciated. We will definitely be back again.

Our much loved Labrador and Ragdoll x love staying at Stack's Pet Paradise. Stacey, Kristie and the team always make sure our loved pets are well taken care of. Socialised appropriately, exercised at least twice daily. Medication and specific food, no problem at all. The facilities, you seriously could not find anywhere even remotely close to in the district. Massive pens which keeps them warm in winter and out of the elements and cool in summer. Keep up the amazing work guys⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
