Tara and her team are amazing. We were anxious to leave our pup for a week during the holidays, but the team at Terra Nova immediately put those nerves to rest. We received several updates throughout the day about how he was doing, the new friends he made, and how he slept during the night. He was able to go out on several walks throughout the day, and had more fun with his new friends during the week than we could provide on our own. We would recommend Terra Nova Canines 100% and feel amazing knowing if we need to take a holiday we have somewhere safe, secure and a place our pup would look forward to going to - which is amazing peace of mind!

Terra Nova Canines has provided live-in sitting a couple of times now for our two dogs and I couldn't be happier with the services provided. There is such comfort and relief in knowing you can be away and that your fur babies are happy and so well taken care of. Everything from the booking process, the meet & greet, communication before, during and after the stay - Tara delivers with the highest level of kindess and professionalism. These were the first times we'd left our pups with anyone outside of family and I highly, highly recommend Tara and her team to anyone looking for a trusted sitter for their pets!

As a dog mom of two amazing fur babies I trusted the Terra Nova team to take good care of our little ones. I was very happy at how they were taken care of. The team at Terra Nova provided constant updates and was very inviting and caring. They followed our care instructions and ensured that the dogs were in a safe and friendly environment. I will strongly recommend their services as they are one of a kind in the Surrey and North Delta area . We did a weekend boarding experience and will definitely be returning.

We were very fortunate to have Terra Nova take care of our big goofy pup over the Christmas period. Leaving your pet with someone else can be incredibly stressful, particularly when you are travelling overseas but Terra Nova made it very easy. Communication was excellent and they took the time to get to know us and our dog before their stay. We used Terra Nova for in-home boarding. Loved that they kept us up to date with photos and stories of what our dog was doing while we were away. Highly recommended

Tara takes care of your pup like it’s her own! Terra Nova is Dobie and parent approved - the only daycare I would take my girl. This is her first experience and she loves to spend the day playing and napping. We love the personal attention with daily photos and updates. A truly special doggy experience!

My Tessa enjoyed her day at Terra Nova Canines last week. It was the first time she has been around 4 other wonderful dogs and she had a blast. Within a day at the daycare, Tessa learned how to be calm. I am sure the other dogs put her in place when she misbehaved and it helped. Don’t hesitate in booking your fur-baby in with Tara! I’m super impressed with the care and attention that Tara gives to her charges, (puppy guests). From staying in touch with parents and giving updates to relieving any stress you may have about leaving your little one. She truly goes the extra mile. To update 2024… Tara is really the only one I trust to care for my pup. I’ve had her take Xena, at least 6 times now, and it allows me to concentrate on my work, as I know Tara is giving my lil girl her best life.

My pup Luna loves it here! She can be a bit of a handful sometimes, but loves playing with other dogs. She gets very excited to go to daycare. We love the photo updates we get throughout the day too!

Tara and the rest of her staff are wonderful people! Rosella did an amazing job at looking after my dog and they seemed to get along quite well! We look forward to using Tara, Rosella, or the rest of the team for many other trips.

Gail is awesome with my dog. She loves dogs. Milo always comes back so tired from playing with the other dogs all day. She has a big yard and the dogs can come in/out of the house as they pleased. I highly recommend her.

Brought my pet to Gail 2 weeks back and he was fine. My pet is not sociable but Gail the owner manages worked it out. She even send me images while my pet was there maybe because she knows I was worried🤣 as it was my dog's first day ever in day care. Nash our golden has been attending cloud nine for over a year now. He goes for day care, grooming and most recently overnight board and train. The staff is phenomenal and cares SO much about each and every dogs well being and development. They treat them as one of their own. Nash loves the staff and all his puppy friends. They’re extremely accommodating and have invested so much into our puppy. The training was BEYOND amazing and we saw such positive changes in our dogs behaviour/ listening skills. HIGHLY recommend this business they’re just the best.

Cloud Nine Canines has been amazing for my dog, Ranger, who has been attending since he was a puppy—about two years now. I can’t say enough good things about them! Thanks to their incredible care and training, Ranger has become so well-behaved, and I owe a large part of that to his time spent here. He always gets his energy out at daycare, and the staff treats him just as I would, which makes me feel so confident leaving him in their care. They're always excited to see him, and I love that! The best daycare/training facility I’ve EVER been to. They actually take who they bring into their doggy day care seriously. My doggo has been attacked a few times unfortunately and she has some anxiousness which leads to reactivity. I was looking for a dog daycare facility that would take my dogs safety into consideration. If she was nervous or too stressed. I wanted to know. I didn’t want her to get into a negative situation again. I worked with a trainer amy a few times, was given great feedback on what to work with her on and now she’s doing GREAT! And more importantly. I’m feeling a lot more confident in my dog. I will be coming back to their day care once we’re back on the west coast 🩷 10/10 recommend. They will listen to you, support you. And advocate for your dog.

My dog Jesse absolutely loves it here! They seem to take the safety and well-being of the dogs extremely seriously. They have several different large outdoor spaces, a pool, and undercover areas for your dog to enjoy. The cost is reasonable considering the service they provide.

Bodhi was a one year old 75 pound ball of muscle and puppy energy when we first came to Cloud Nine Canines. He had an in your face, hip checking, bulldozer play style that most dogs didn’t appreciate. We’ve experienced rescue dogs that were not dog social and we desperately didn’t want that kind of dog again. The staff at Cloud Nine has worked so hard with us transforming Bodhi into a safe, play with any size dog. He makes good decisions about who wants to play and who to leave alone. They have taught us so much and have been a wealth of helpful advice and information. Bodhi is a large powerful young dog who needs time outs when overstimulated, firm corrections, leash time, and the close supervision the Cloud Nine staff provide. Sometimes he needs tune ups or refreshers and Shannon keeps us updated and explains clearly any new methods they are using with him. They customize training for every size, personality, and issue a dog may have. It is frustrating to see reviews from people complaining when they only see a 5-10 minute window of what goes on there. People who have very limited experience with different breeds and personalities of dogs should ask questions rather than make public judgments. I have no doubt Bodhi would have become a brawler if he’d been unsupervised, undisciplined, and left in a field to “play”. Taking him to dog parks would have guaranteed problems. The fact that he can’t wait to get out of the car when we arrive, clearly shows that discipline and guidance makes for very happy daycare dogs! The staff are all fantastic at sharing stories and telling us who his best friend of the day is. We absolutely love the special events and picture days just like a child’s daycare! Watching the videos and seeing all the pictures on Facebook is always treat as well. Bodhi had his first sleepover in the summer, and while we missed him, it was so nice to not be worried all night. I just can’t say enough good things about Cloud Nine Canines, Renata, Shannon, and their amazing staff! Bodhi has transformed from a bulldozer who almost dragged us down the street to a well behaved, energetic but chill surfer dude in just under a year! I would like to thank Renata and her staff for their quick actions in apprehending my Husky Togo. While I unloaded Togo in the parking lot he slipped his collar and bolted across the street. Renata immediately calmed the runner and captured him. She is truly a Dog Whisperer!

This is quite possibly the best dog daycare I have ever visited, and I have used several. Renata, the owner, truly cares about both the dogs and their owners. The staff is exceptional, and my pup always comes home happy.

Very professional, flexible and caring! Yesterday I had concerns about the smoke in the air from forest fires and my dog breathing it in while playing (she's mostly indoors and has a lot of allergies). Shannon listened and kept watch of her during her day to make sure she wasn't sneezing or coughing. She also called me mid-day for an update on how my dog is doing and the precautions they took to make sure she's safe. Thank you for going the extra mile, very appreciated! Cadence came back happy and healthy :)

Our dog Arlo has been going to Cloud Nine Canines for over 2 years now. We were wanting him to have a safe place to socialize with other dogs without us always being around. It was one of the best decisions we ever made! Arlo is well socialized and absolutely loves going there. The staff is well trained and the facility is well looked after and gives the dogs numerous areas to play, run and socialize. There are also lots of comfy spots to take a break too! We have also used their boarding services. We are so glad we found somewhere that Arlo can go when we are away and don't have to worry! We would absolutely recommend Cloud Nine Canines to anyone looking for a daycare for their dog!

Was very appreciative of the owner as well as the front desk ladies whom I talked to in regards to getting my dog in under a very short and important period of time. We’re very professional, and the owner genuinely cares and does everything for the dogs & only the best! They were very kind and got back to me very quickly, except after the few days that she went, have not gotten back to me since. I was really wanting all of the photos that one of the employees said they took of her. I only got one that was on their newsletter and that is it. The employee told me to look on their Facebook and Instagram because they post there as well and nothing has been posted since a cpl days before she was there! So I am really hoping to get those!!! Overall, my dog was Seemed to of been well treated and very much loved, and only good things were said about her when I picked her up. Overall great experience for both of us ( my dog and myself!!) Look forward to going back in the near future!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! This daycare is by far the worst place you could ever leave your dog. I brought my 10-month-old puppy for a trial day, and it was a nightmare. From the beginning, I was upfront about leaving him from 7 AM to 7 PM, and the owner assured me it was fine. However, as soon as I arrived, she started nitpicking my puppy’s behavior, claiming he had “issues” just because he was scared of the large dogs barking at him. Rather than introducing him properly or showing any understanding, she threw him into an overwhelming situation. I immediately felt uneasy when she demanded $40 cash upfront, which seemed sketchy, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. When I returned at 7 PM, I found out my puppy had been left outside in the cold rain for who knows how long! He was hiding somewhere she couldn’t even locate, and her only explanation was, “Oh, I don’t know. He’s been annoying and barking.” That is completely unacceptable. A professional should never leave a dog outside unattended, especially in bad weather. To make things worse, she tried to charge me $65—without any prior notice or explanation—and when I refused, she became incredibly rude. She insulted my dog, saying he was the “worst” and that I had “damaged” him, which is both unprofessional and deeply hurtful. No one running a daycare should ever speak to a customer or treat their dog this way. It’s clear that this person has no passion, patience, or care for animals. From what I saw, she just leaves the dogs in her backyard while sitting inside her house. If you care about your dog’s well-being, avoid this place at all costs.

I can’t say enough good things about Mimi, the trainer and owner. When we first brought Barky home, he was a shy puppy who didn’t interact much with people or other dogs. We were worried he’d grow up anxious or fearful, but after working with Mimi, everything changed. She really took the time to understand Barky’s personality and moved at his pace, gently encouraging him to come out of his shell. Now, he’s not only more confident but actually enjoys meeting new people and dogs – something we never thought we’d see! Mimi’s training — and that of the pack — is incredibly thorough, and she makes it so easy to follow through at home. What really makes her stand out is how responsive she is. Any time we had a question – whether it was about socialization tips, attachment training, or even what to do during Barky’s nervous moments – she got back to us quickly with advice that actually worked. Beyond the training sessions, Mimi has been such an amazing resource. She’s helped us with everything from diet questions to tips to train a secure attachment in Barky. It feels like we can ask her anything, and she’s always happy to help. Barky absolutely adores her, and so do we. Seeing him grow into a happy, social pup has been such a rewarding experience, and we owe so much of that to Mimi. I highly recommend reaching out to Mimi – she’s truly the best!

Mimi has been a wonderful caregiver, with the added bonus of a Trainer, to my Dog Charlie, since he was 3 months old. He’s a lot to handle but she taught me patience and consistency (and him some manners!) Always a smile on her face when I drop off or pick up my dog. Charlie loves it there! I highly recommend Doggy DooLil Daycare.

Mimi is the best pack leader. After spending time with her, our puppy Barky has learned so much. He is more confident and curious now, not like before, when he was scared of everything, even a door or a bird. He is definitely enjoying his life now. As Barky's mom, I also learned so much about how to be a dog mom. I'm grateful that I found Doggy DooLil, and that we have Barky going to her daycare once every week. The moment we park in front of Mimi's place, our dog forgets us.. I guess that's how you know he loves her and her pack. Thank you Mimi!

What can I say about Mimi and Doggy Dolil, except my pup and I absolutely love it. I sent my puppy there so he could learn proper socialization but we have gotten way more out of it than I had thought. My puppy used to bite, nip, and tug at my clothes before and all of those behaviours had stopped within a couple of weeks of going there (3 days/week). Mimi has given me a lot of advice regarding training certain behaviours out of my puppy and how to set boundaries and rules. She is very knowledgeable and knows exactly what she is doing. My puppy has made many friends there and he very excited in the mornings. In fact he’s loved it so much that I transitioned him to daycare 5 days a week. Every morning he wakes up excited and happy to go to daycare and play with his friends. Sending him to Doggy Dolil was the best decision I could’ve made for my puppy. There’s a huge change in him and I couldn’t have done it without Mimi’s guidance. If you’re looking for a safe and fun space for your dog where they can learn and grow, look no further!

Jack has been going to Mimi’s for the past 9 months and enjoys it there! He has the opportunity to interact and socialize in a safe and clean environment (Jack never comes home dirty, as we experienced with other care facilities). Mimi shares her experience and wealth of knowledge, sharing tips and tricks to continually improve and correct Jack’s behaviour. Mimi takes her responsibility of watching and taking care of our dog seriously with a gentle but firm disposition which provides us comfort that Jack is in good hands. Jack has boarded overnight on a couple of occasions with Mimi and Jack has really enjoyed it. On one occasion and with short notice, Mimi was kind enough to help us when we had conflicts where Jack would have otherwise been left home alone for an extended period. I asked if she was able to help us and she let me know immediately that she would! It was such a great help and comfort to know Mimi is there when we need her. Thanks Mimi!

We have been taking our English labrador retriever, Chester, to Doggy DooLil since Chester was 3 months old for daycare twice a week. It has been wonderful. He has boarded with her for a week back in May and absolutely loved it. We have many more boarding sessions booked for the future! Mimi is experienced and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to dog training and behaviour. She's not just a person that watches your dog during the day but also someone whom you can ask for help/advice on anything dog related. As to the other reviews here complaining about strictness or inflexibility in rules, I can only say one thing: do you regularly handle 20 dogs at a time by yourself? I doubt any of us do. Rules are in place to ensure a good and safe experience for all dogs - yours and the others. Just like kids, dogs need discipline and I am happy that Mimi lays down the law and is consistent in her approach with the dogs and also to us - the human owners. Being a dog owner is a relationship and it takes work on both sides - not just the dog! Mimi's responsibility (which she takes seriously) is to ensure the well being and safety for the entire pack. You can bring your dog here with confidence knowing that she has the best interests of all the dogs that attend!

My dog loves it here. He gets the most excited when I pull into the driveway and he realizes where he is. He hates leaving and i can tell how well Mimi treats them all. She has been super accommodating and will give you the best advice. She is very knowledgeable in her profession and cares about all of the members.

It’s been 2 years since I’ve been to this daycare and I am still bothered by my experience enough that I think about it on a regular basis. I took my two puppies here for one month before switching them to another daycare. When I arrived to pick up my dogs, they were excited to see me and were hopping up at the gate. Mimi scolded them and started jabbing one of my dogs in the ribs with her fingers. She then told me that one of my dogs (the one she was jabbing) was an “escape artist” and had gotten out of pen in the morning. When you enter Mimi’s house, you enter through the front door and there is a gate separating the dog’s area from the door to the outside. Mimi told me she had forgotten to latch the gate so my dog had gotten out and was sitting by the front door and another pet parent had seen her and pointed it out. To me, this is completely unacceptable. First of all, if you left the gate unlatched, then it is your fault she got out. It doesn’t make her an “escape artist” and doesn’t warrant punishment. Secondly, the fact that Mimi didn’t even notice, and it was another client who pointed it out is just negligent. My dog could have gone missing and Mimi wouldn’t have even noticed. The fact that Mimi was still punishing my dog for this 8 hours later is completely unacceptable. My dog obviously did not know what she was being punished for by that point, and it had me concerned for how my dogs had been treated throughout the day when I wasn’t there. She went on to tell me that my dog was jumping at the gate in the morning so she “pinched her on the belly”. My dogs were anxious puppies that had just come to me from a rescue organization. They are small breed dogs, were 4 months old and 7lbs at the time. I couldn’t believe that she would physically punish them and that she didn’t see anything wrong with it because she straight up told me she did it. After that, I was not comfortable taking my dogs back to her because I was genuinely worried for their safety. I switched them to a different day care and I emailed Mimi to let her know that they wouldn’t be returning. Before any of this happened, I had already prepaid $500 to her for the next month and I asked Mimi if she would refund me because I was a student at the time. She told me she was sorry to see me go but she couldn’t refund me because she had already spent the money. I left it at that because I would rather lose the money than leave my dogs in her care for another month. Also, she always called me Heather despite me correcting her daily that that wasn’t my name. Not my biggest complaint, but always uncomfortable.

We started sending Nova to Mimi’s in August of 2022 after someone recommend her daycare to us. We wanted Nova to have more socialization with other dogs, and we got just that! Nova loves going to Mimi’s and seeing all her friends. As well, we have always felt comfortable leaving Nova in Mimi’s care as we know Mimi takes the best care of the pack. We would highly recommend Doggy DooLil daycare to anyone!

I went to Carefree for years. Such an awesome daycare. Jody the owner has an excellent understanding of dog behaviour and cares deeply for your pup. Her love for dogs is apparent as soon as you step into the daycare. If you are looking for a dog daycare in Burnaby, Carefree Canines is the place.

My puppy Burgundy has joined the CC family since he was about at his 3-4 months. He is probably still one of the youngest also the smallest size one among the family. He absolutely enjoy going there so much. The place is spacious and facilities are very clean. Jody and her team has been doing a fantastic job to accommodate him. Safety is the top keyword that I hear from Jody, I appreciate it very much! They guide him to be a well rounded boy with all the other buddies no matter what size they are. They are very patient to work on him and understand the needs for a young toy breed puppy very well. I constantly receive feedback from Jody and team which sounds like he is making progress every week!

Jody’s and the staff at Carefree go above and beyond to keep a safe, controlled, fun daycare. It is clean and calm and I’m so grateful I found them. I can’t say enough praises for this place! My boy comes home happy and tired and I love how they have a schedule and it’s a calm energy in there. There is time to play, time to rest, time to eat and time to snuggle. It is structured and exactly what my dog needs. It never smells of pee and no matter what time of day, dogs aren’t out of control barking like crazy. No bad behaviour is learned here. There are the cream of the crop. Love these guys and love this place. My dog can’t wait to get there every morning 💕

Our mini dachshund Buko has been going to Carefree Canines for the past 7 months and she absolutely loves it! Buko gets so excited when we say “daycare” or “Jody”! Jody and her team provide a fun, safe, and loving environment for the dogs, and all the dogs are so well behaved and quiet when it’s time for pick up. Ruby has been going to Carefree Canines since she was a puppy; she's been going to "school" for pretty much the amount of time that Jody has had the daycare. Ruby loves all of the staff and has learned really good manners. She has a good time with them when they give her cuddles. I love how the staff take such wonderful pictures of our dogs and the captions make my day. I am always impressed at how everybody is so professional,. Goes to show that Jody (the owner) is a really good influence on her staff. Ruby is safe and well cared for! And, they have been so accommodating for me with my schedule! I highly recommend this daycare!

We have been bringing our little Westie to Carefree Canines for almost 1 year and we could not be happier. Jody and her team are so welcoming and go above and beyond. I know our pup is in good hands and is loved like he is their own. Jody posts pictures on Facebook, which is great to see all the friends Finnegan is making! The facility is well maintained, very clean, and our guy is so excited for "daycare day". Best of all, when he comes home, he has one of the best sleeps, which means a night off for dad! This place deserves way more than 5 stars, as they are simply the best! I highly recommend Carefree Canines!

My dog, Betty, has been going to Carefree Canines for a couple of years now. She absolutely loves it there! All I have to say on her daycare days is "wanna go to school?" and she wags her whole body! I love to watch Betty greeting her pals when she gets there. Jody and her group are amazing. I would only leave my Betty-boo with people who I absolutely trust. If you're looking for a place where your beloved pooch will have fun, meet new friends, play fetch, and come home happy and well exercised... Carefree Canines is the place!

We have been bringing our German Shepherd here for about 8 months now, and we cannot say enough good things about it and Jody and the whole staff there. It far exceeds any expectations we had about doggie day care, and cannot imagine a place any better than this one for our dog or any other dog. Jody has hired excellent staff. They are all knowledgeable and love the dogs. We love so many things about this day care ! Big and small dogs play together safely and have so much fun. There is plenty of staff that is there all day to ensure the play is the best experience for the dogs. It is extremely clean and spacious, with lots of different things for dogs to play with. The staff all get to know the dogs well, their different personalities and temperaments, and do an amazing job with them. It is rare that a business is run this well, and consistently, and to such a high standard. They really care about the dogs in their care and have created an environment that the dogs love , have so much fun in and feel safe and happy. Our dog pulls hard every morning to get to the front door of the day care as fast as she can. If you are looking for a day care for your dog, look no further ! There can be nothing better than this. July 28,2019 My dog is still going to this amazing doggie daycare and she loves it so much ! She is still as excited to go as she was years ago . Jody continues to run this day care as a first class facility that is everything your dog would want . It is soooooo much fun ! Her staff is the best and they are completely engaged the whole time with the dogs that come . I would never go anywhere else .not a chance .

Cisco has been going to this daycare since he was a puppy. He absolutely loves it here! The staff has always been friendly and affectionate towards the dogs. We can see he's having the time of his life from the photos they send us, and we've never received a complaint about his loud barking—they just let the dogs be themselves. We feel confident leaving him for boarding, even on short notice. Even though we moved 30 minutes away, we still go to this daycare!

We’ve been taking our pup here for over a year now. They have been such a reliable second home for our very energetic and demanding working-breed dog. The staff and owner are genuine, accommodating and build positive relationships with all the dogs. They really provide amazing care for the all of the dogs, are genuinely interested in wellbeing and special needs of your dogs, and provide constant feedback on how your pup does each day. Don’t know what we would do if we didn’t have Furry Friends around, and would highly recommend this business to anybody.

We followed Aline here from Pet Smart. My dog absolutely loves her and she is the sweetest, most kindest soul. She is super attentive and does a great job grooming him. Unfortunately we moved to the island so we won't see Aline much, if at all anymore. Hope we can get him in soon - but I wanted to recognize the great work she does and how great of a groomer is she and sooo amazing with dogs.

Went in to get our dogs nails cut. They were super quick and friendly. We just walked in without an appointment and they had us out in less than 10 mins. Good pricing too

My dog Sugar has been going here for the past 8 months and is obsessed with Furry Friends daycare! She can be anxious around new dogs, people and different environments but this place is like her second home. The staff treat her so well and she even has a title "Director of Activities" because she plays all day. I'm so grateful that there is such an amazing daycare nearby and highly recommend Furry Friends if you're looking for a daycare in New West.

Do not trust furry freinds . Take your dog elsewhere. The owner is very angry and hostile with customers. I would not trust her with your pet.

Dogtopia in Coquitlam is Tucker’s second home!! He loves going, and he is so well cared! When we get out the car, we walks himself right in, and into the arms of the staff. When Tucker sister died, the staff were so caring towards me. I recommend Dogtopia to all my friends and colleagues. The hours are great as well for shift workers for pick up and drop off.

I recently took my furry companion to Dogtopia for a week of boarding and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making both me and my dog feel at ease. The facility itself was clean, well-maintained, and had plenty of space for the dogs to play and socialize. I loved that they have webcams so I could check in on my dog throughout the day and see that he was having a great time. The staff at Dogtopia clearly love what they do and are passionate about caring for the dogs in their facility. I felt confident leaving my dog in their hands and he came home happy and tired from a week boarding and play. I also appreciated the additional services offered, such as grooming and training, which I definitely take advantage of. Overall, I highly recommend Dogtopia to any dog owner looking for a safe and fun environment for their furry friend. I will definitely be returning!

My dog would drag her feet going here, I had to do all but carry her in. (She, my dog, is at a new daycare now and loves it - tail wagging and runs to the door) Also, before signing up, I discussed whether or not it would be possible to make sure she was not crated at any point because she came as a rescue with a history of abuse in confined spaces. They confirmed they would not crate her, and put her in what was called an open "suite" instead, should she need space. I looked on the camera one day and she was in a crate. Unfortunately, when I signed up they very strongly suggested that I buy the new daycare package which included a set amount of drop-ins. I didn't get to use them all because I couldn't get her in the door, and they were crating her when they weren't supposed to be. I am now out probably around $100. I did communicate with them on the day that I discovered her in the crate that this was not the agreement, and asked what could be done. They made no suggestions, and implied that it was acceptable because my dog was being aggressive. I've had her for almost a year now, and she doesn't have a mean bone her body, she's an absolute sweetheart. She plays beautifully with other dogs at dog parks and her new daycare, and is incredibly gentle and good-natured. I'm giving it more than one star because the woman who was there on the initial day of assesment was kind to my dog.

As a first-time pet parent, I researched a lot and inquired about different places to find the right and most comfortable fit for Tyson (our lab, 11 months old). At Dogtopia, the staff is warm, knowledgeable, and professional. The manager gave us good time, explanation, satisfaction,and tips on the very first day of assessment. Tyson came back home happy and eagerly awaited for his next visit. Webcams are the best way to see how your pup is doing and give you satisfaction when you see your pup is well taken care of and in safe hands. I am an extra-protective and sensitive parent, but Dogtopia staff took all my worries away, and Tyson found his best second home. Thank you for your great work 💗

This review is for the grooming services, as I have not used the daycare services yet. I've taken my 75lb malamute mix here for grooming twice now, and both times it has been the best grooming he has received. I've been a few other places but they are often way more expensive and do a worse job. My dog's fur is always very soft and shiny after leaving Dogtopia and he doesn't have the terrible chemical-y smell he does after visiting other dog grooming facilities. Definitely recommend them for grooming!

Couldn’t recommend them more. I have an anxious APBT/Lab mix and within the first day she loved it there. For me as a first time dog owner I was personally anxious about how my dog would do but the staff know what their talking about and help me relax. The webcams are a nice addition so I can see my dog having a fun time. Also having the grooming service is great since my dog won’t let us cut her nails our self. Dogtopia of Coquitlam have been an amazing help to our dog, her confidence is already better just from being there.

The staff are very caring towards my partners dog. They are also very accommodating to my partner when she is running late or if she needs to drop off her dog before they open. They also provide good dog interaction and are always doing stuff with the dogs to help them learn. I definitely recommend Dogtopia.

From our first visit I was impressed by the friendly and communicative staff. Kona had great experiences with daycare/boarding in our previous community so I was hopeful for a smooth transition. She always seems happy to go to daycare so to me, that is the best review. We have been pleased by the grooming services but have not yet used boarding.

Kristen looked after my sweet Luna in the summer time. She did a wonderful job and met with me to discuss all of the little details before she looked after Luna. She is thoughtful, precise and really put my mind at ease in terms of my cat being well taken care of while I was gone. She even gave her a little report card after the service and checked in during the time I was away which I totally appreciated. Luna was much more comfortable and less stressed having stayed at home. Thank you Kristen, I truly appreciate your work.

I have been using Kristin and Kitty Kompany for almost 10 years now. The love and care that she has always given my cats is exemplary. I know I can always count on her if an emergency arises to look after my kitties. When I was in the hospital Emergency ward while on chemotherapy, I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it home that night, and Kristin said she would be available to look after them if I didn’t make it home. I trust her completely. I love the report cards that she leaves for me to read when I get home.

Kristin was reliable and great with my kitty Rose. I also loved all the photos she sent of Rose while I was away!

Kristin is an absolutely wonderful person who truly loves cats with all her heart. Above and beyond is an understatement for the care she provides to my 3 cats. I am gone from home quite often and have Kristen coming in every month for the past year. My cats Leo, Simba, & Luna adore her. She always spoils them with treats and cuddles, and always spends quality time with them each day she does a pet sit at my home. She cleans their litter every day and if there are any accidents (puke/urine) she will look after those also. I trust Kristen more than anyone I know personally no matter how long I’ve known them. If you are looking for a pet sitter, look no further because Kitty Kompany is the best and I will never go to any other business or person after having received top notch level of service and professionalism. Kristen really cares about cats and she will treat them as if they are her own. I will forever consider her as my cats nanny. I had a situation come up this weekend where Luna escaped from my home and went missing for 3 days. Kristen came out personally to assist me with searching for my poor baby. She also helped me go through the motions of coping with a lost pet and gave me amazing feedback/advice on how to handle the situation. It’s great news to say Luna came home safe and sound and Kristin was rejoiced along with me to know my little girl is home. I am forever indebted to having Kristen/Kitty Kompany in my life and providing the support to my cats and I. Thank you for being an awesome nanny to the cats and running this amazing Kompany❤️❤️❤️

I have been a client of this company for about 4 years now and I love her. My dog gets lots of love and attention from Kristen, he is always happy to see her. Kristen is professional and well informed about the care she provides. I have never been disappointed and have never had any problems. I have even called her with questions about my dog behavior, and have gotten some good sound advice. I would definitely recommend her,for your Pet sitting needs.

Kristin has looked after our pets multiple times in the last year and I always feel good about it. My dog, in particular, wishes she could go home with Kristin! She's been attentive and helpful, but not alarmist, when my cat has presented some health concerns, and provided lovely updates while we were away.

Kristin is one of the most reliable cat sitters ever. She came up to make sure my fur babies were good during the worst of the lower mainlands weather warning of snow, freezing rain and arctic temperatures. She is very experienced (over 20 years in the business) and clearly loves what she does. Support your local business and hire her- I have her phone # saved to my phone and she'll be my first choice going forward for any trips that all of us will be away from home. I got lots of pictures and updates while away as well. Priscilla, Doug and Owen say thank you for the extra christmas gifts, they have been very good fur babies this year. I got a report card when i returned home and laughed because she nailed all three of my cats' personalities in like, 4 visits, lol. Thank you a ton!!

Mindful Mutts has been a game changer for me and my new puppy Johnnie! We took the Puppy training course and have moved on to The Basics. Johnnie is in daycare 3-4 days a week…she has a blast every time!! She’s so excited to get in the door in the morning but also excited to see me at the end of the day. I love to watch IG & FB stories during the day so I can see her playing with all of her buddies. Stefania and her amazing team are providing a much needed service in our community and doing it with so much love. Can’t thank you guys enough for taking care of my girl 🙏💖🐶

I just recognised I haven’t left a review to the mindful mutt team🫣 This is the only daycare we have ever tried and we loved it!!! I love the idea of small groups and force free. They walk all dogs individually during the day, and they did a great job even my dog can be a bit reactive to other male big dogs. I am so happy my dog did great with other dogs in the daycare. However, unfortunately me and family decided not bringing our dog to here because my dog needs a low-exercise daily routine(medical needs), playing rough to other dogs can be a bit too much for him. BUT I MISS THEM SO MUCH😭 Due to my dog’s condition, they accommodated me soooo much, they let me pick him up earlier than regular time, they extended my package bc my dog was in the ER for a few times. LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Hope we can see you guys one day💛 Chu Chu misses you guys.

I can't say enough good things about Mindful Mutts! I have a nervous rescue dog and did the basics class with her. Stefania was patient and knows her stuff when it comes to dog behaviour in a positive way. I started to take Ember to the daycare. The staff (wranglers) are amazing! Ember went from being nervous to going in, to now running up to the wranglers and running into daycare the moment the door opens. I'm protective of my rescue (she's had enough bad experiences in her life) so I wouldn't go anywhere else than Mindful Mutts! The staff are truly awesome!

My pup has attended a variety of activities (puppy parties, training, daycare) across both facilities and I can't imagine bringing her anywhere else! ❤️ Stefania and the rest of the team are so professional, and care so much about the well-being and happiness of your pets. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services to anyone needing care or enrichment for their dogs. It's also equally important to me that a workplace treats their staff well / sticks up for them, takes a strong stance against misinformation / abuse in dog training, and societal issues like racism, homophobia, bullying, etc. and Mindful Mutts checks all those boxes for me!

Mindful Mutts and everyone that works there are absolutely incredible! My puppy, Tarot, is definitely an anxious girl and so when I first started bringing her to daycare, I was worried that she'd be too frightened to have fun. It turns out, I didn't need to worry! Clearly, the staff have gone above and beyond to help Tarot feel comfortable because now, if she even suspects it's time to go to daycare, she's dragging me to the car, then up the hill to the entrance and scratches at their front door. It's been such a joy to see how excited she is to go and then to see her playing and having fun via Instagram. I'm so thankful for Mindful Mutts. I can't imagine it's been easy being a small business in the midst of a pandemic, but not only have they all kept going, working hard, they've done so with an awe-inspiring level of kindness, patience, and compassion. I know that when Tarot is at Mindful Mutts, she's safe, happy, and loved.

Stefania & her team have done so much to nurture our puppy and help him learn, socialize, etc. he loves going to daycare. He loves Stefania and the staff there. He’s a very happy dog. Can’t speak highly enough of Mindful Mutts.

My partner and I feel so lucky to be clients of Mindful Mutts - they are our #1 choice for in-home pet care whenever we go on vacation! Despite having an anxious and reactive dog (and being an anxious dog mom!), we never hesitate to leave our furbabies and our home in the care of Mindful Mutts staff. We feel completely at ease, even when we are miles away, knowing they are in the best care and that the staff care for them as much as we do. I don't know what we would do without Mindful Mutts!!

My 9 month old puppy Gouda started at Mindful Mutts puppy parties when he was 4 months old, has had a wonderful experience doing training classes with Stefania and loves going to daycare! The staff treats him like their own pup and he immediately runs up the street to the door when we are close. Recently our pups little (human) sister was born and we needed an emergency daycare day unplanned. Mindful Mutts was so accommodating and helped us out last minute even though the pandemic has made things like staffing harder for them. I couldn’t recommend all of their services enough (including harness fittings!). They are the only people we will trust with our pup for a positive, playful and enrichment based experience.

I have a standard Australian Shepard and he loves going to day care here. I love that they have an indoor and outdoor area for the dogs. All the staff there are wonderful as well, I can tell how much they care and treat the dogs well since he gets so excited to return. They have awesome add-on services for day care if you want a little extra for your dog. I like that they have a thorough intake process with an introduction day to ensure safety for your dog and others. I had my dog recently groomed there for the first time as well and he looked fantastic after, they got his sections of white fur pretty clean and white again. He also had a little mat behind his ear and they managed to get it out without him looking uneven. I also like that they post Instagram stories of the dogs under their care so you can see how your dog is doing, or for a nice little pick-me-up to get you through the work day. Our puppy loves her daycare days. She’s so excited to go! It’s a great way for her to play and socialize in a safe, clean and fun environment. She comes home happy and ready for a nap. The staff and the owners are truly lovely. They are knowledgeable, professional, and they genuinely love the dogs. It’s such a comfort to have a safe place for our girl to go for daycare, grooming, and boarding. We have been clients for over 10 years first with our sweet girl Phud ❤️ 🌈🐾 and now Lark 🐕💖. I can't recommend the Dog Patch enough! We brought our 11-week-old puppy there for the Puppy Grooming Package. The groomer is incredibly sweet and patient with our pup, and we can’t wait to take him for doggy daycare! We received referrals from both a family member and our trainer.

I brought our Havanese dog to the dog patch for a groom (first time). I really appreciated how they took time to ask about my preferences and get to know our dog. The haircut was perfect, far better than other groomers we have tried. We also appreciated the first time 10% discount. I highly recommend grooming here and based on my experience I suspect their other services are good too.

I brought my 4 month old puppy to The Dog Patch today for her first visit. The girls that work there are so kind and professional. They put me at ease instantly with the way they interacted with my little dolly. I love the way they introduced her to the pack…on her pace. And then I got to observe her and chat while she played. I left feeling so secure. She had the BEST time there…I could tell from her smile in the photo they sent and the text I received telling me how her time was going. I have one happy tired out puppy!!

My golden retriever Lemon has been getting groomed at the Dog Patch since she was a puppy. Though she's a bit timid they did such a good job of getting her used to all of the different parts of the grooming process before doing a full session. Eryn has been grooming Lemon along with my sister's Bernese Mountain Dog for the last year or so and is so sweet and patient with them. They come home looking fresh and gorgeous! Our dogs have been coming to the Dogpatch (daycare and boarding) for many years. The care and love they receive is obvious when I turn down the road and the excited yelps start. 😁They can’t wait to get out of the car to see the girls and their fur friends. Even after 3 of my dogs crossed the rainbow bridge I keep coming back with my new rescue babies. This is there second home. I have since moved out to Mission but still make the 45 min trip in. They're affordable and my puppy seems to like it so far so no complaints here. The staff is easy to talk to if you need updates or if you're concerned about anything. I love their Instagram updates they have during the day so I get to see my dog :)

I’m very happy with Wag n Woof New West. I can drop off my dog there for the day and feel completely comfortable and confident knowing that she is safe and well looked after. I full heartedly recommend this dog day care. All the staff are caring and kind, and that pretty much says it all.

The staff at Wag n Woof Doggy daycare are absolutely amazing! It is evident that they truly care about the dogs that attends their day care. My puppy had a lot of anxiety initially attending daycare, Kim worked closely with me in coming up with strategies to minimize anxiety and ensuring my puppy has a good time. Wag 'N’ Woof is a fantastic place! Jackie and Mike are sweet people with a wonderful way with the dogs and their love for them is extremely evident. They are incredibly kind, accommodating and easy-going for their clients, too. Our dog is an older Italian Greyhound and he is prone to anxiousness away from home or when alone. Thanks to the dedicated care and patience he has had at Wag 'N' Woof, he has come to feel very comfortable with everyone there and the other dogs in their care. When I pick him up at the end of the day, he is happy and tired out. It gives me incredible peace of mind to know that he is not just looked after but enjoying himself. I very highly recommend them!

Been going here for many years and I have nothing but good things to say about Jackie and the gang. They treat us like family and we wouldn't trade that for anything. Plus our pup Chewy just can't get enough.

My dog absolutely loves coming here! He burns so much energy and relaxes as soon as we get home and sleeps all night. The staff are so friendly and sweet. The owners, Jackie and Mike, are such amazing people. They truly care for each dog that walks through the doors. One day I had brought my dog in first thing in the morning. Jackie called me a couple hours later to say that he wasn’t his usual self and he was tired and isolating himself from the group. Jackie said she was just worried and wanted me to know. They truly are so caring of each pup they watch. I feel sooooo safe leaving my dog at this place because I know how much they care. And I have no idea what that first review is talking about. They have plenty of staff! All in all, awesome place! Definitely give it a shot if you need a place to take your pup :)

Amazing owners and staff! Everyone is so personable and they take such great care of our 2 American Eskimos. Our pups were quite nervous at first as this was their first daycare experience, but Jackie and Mike took extra time and care to make sure they were comfortable in the daycare. Now they both LOVE going in, as soon as we pull into the parking lot they start jumping and barking because they are so excited! They also post pictures on their Facebook page so you can see your pup throughout the day!

My dog loves going to wag n Woofs! On our drive there, as soon as we start heading in that direction he gets so excited he starts howling! Jackie and Mike take such good care of him, and if I wonder how he is doing, I just check Facebook and I can see pictures that they post during the day. They truly care about my dog, I never worry when he is in their care. It’s clean and open for the dogs to play, and lots of beds for their naps. I would recommend wag n woofs to anyone who wants excellent care for your pup.
