Erica watched my senior dog and cat for 12 days while I was traveling internationally. She was organized, responsive, and took excellent care of both my animals and my apartment while I was away. She sent me photos during the stay and my pets absolutely adored her. She has watched my pets before and I always trust her to take excellent care of them. Traveling internationally and leaving my pets in the care of a sitter always makes me a little nervous, since I won't always be immediately reachable. However, Erica's communication and obvious competency made me feel very comfortable about leaving my pets in her care while I was away. It's very obvious she adores spending time with the pets and caring for them. I came home to a clean apartment and very happy and healthy pets. I would highly recommend Erica for any of your sits!
I was very happy with the love and affection that was very apparent when Travis and Shannon met the pups. I received one picture on my trip and was happy to see Shannon cuddled under a doggie pile. Nothing like seeing your dogs being loved by others as their own. Every thing was in its place when I return which was nice. I also received a welcome home gift handmade by them which was very lovely and made my day. I highly recommend them as trustworthy and reliable pet sitters to anyone.
Denise was by far the best pet sitter we have ever had! She watched our two pups while we were gone for 3 weeks and took amazing care of our dogs and home. She took the time to ask questions and make sure she understood each dog’s needs as well as how to take the best care of our house before we left. She sent videos everyday updating us on how the pups were doing. We were so happy to see how much quality time she was spending with them and how much they loved her. Our dogs were so sad to see her leave and we can’t wait to have her back. Denise made sure that the house was in perfect condition when she left and treated our home as if it were her own. If you are looking for a pet sitter, look no further. Highly recommend Denise!
Leah & Elias, were an absolute joy as housesitters. They arrived a day early so we could all meet and go over the pets routine. Our cat is relatively new and has a little separation anxiety but they managed his care really well. Our dog needed to be dropped off at a sitters and they took care of that as well. We also came home to a clean and neat house! Overall, they went above and beyond and I highly recommend them.
Stephanie was fantastic! Very organized and left our house sparkling clean. She also sent daily pictures/messages which we loved receiving. She took great care of our dog and our house. One of the best sitters we’ve had!
Great sitter and kept in contact regularly. Would gladly have her sit for my dog again.
Joe arrived some days before I left, so I could show him some nice places in Switzerland and he had enough of time to learn all about the dogs and how to handle them. He is an amazing nice and an animal/natur loving person who took care of my dog with incredible affection when I was in vacation. I could really enjoy it, because I knew, everything is ok at home. He sent me picutres and I could see, how much fun they have together. He cooked for the dogs, mad a lot of nice hikes with them and huged them, when they need it - so he even got the trust from Artu (as a man really not easy). And not only that, he made woodruff punch for me and sowed my tomatoes and spoiled them with melt water. And he helped also the women which looked after the horses and helped her to going walk with them. Generelly he is super friendly, so everyone in the village likes him. He is considerate of your belongings and has handed the house back neatly. He is just the best. I'm so gratuful he was here. So, if you have a chance to get him as a sitter, take it. Your animals will be grateful to you and have a good time while you are on vacation. Joe, you're not just a dog sitter for me. You were so familiar to me from the first moment. We had a lot of fun and we already miss you sooooo much. I'm really looking forward to see you again in some monthes.
Care and compassion for my dogs was at the top of the list of John's attributes. He was the first sitter I have used through zeewoi that was close enough to come meet the dogs before the sit. John not only came for an initial meet and greet, but he made time to meet the pups a second time prior to my departure to better familiarize himself with both the dogs and my home. Having put the fear of God in him about Penny's reactivity (I might have been a bit over the top, but better more attentive than less!), he was cautious with her in the beginning. Later in the sit, they trooped off to the beach on multiple occasions - all good! My 10-yr-old was on some meds for a serious battle with arthritis, and John managed Cooper's needs beautifully. John even made a call and a trip to the vet to re-up Coop's prescription when it was clear he needed to continue the protocol. I received daily updates by text, including photos and video; communication is hugely important to me. I feel blessed to have had John care for my fur-babies.
Lynn and Ray were fabulous sitters, going above and beyond to take care of our home, yard, and rambunctious pup. Leaving him for three weeks was very difficult but we felt confident once we met them. They are great communicators, very professional, capable of handling any situation, and personable. Since they are fully self-contained in their van, they arrived a day early so we could show them the place, have our dog Bailey get comfortable with them (that was immediate ☺), and get to know them over dinner together. While on our trip, they sent us daily photos of Bailey, which we really appreciated, and updates on their activities. They took him hiking almost every day and kept him well exercised. Any issues that came up (e.g., our irrigation water ran dry a couple weeks in) they communicated to us and we were able to resolve them quickly. They also harvested ripe berries and squash for us and even harvested and dried tomatoes in our dryer. We spent our entire trip feeling assured that all things were being taken care of and feel ever so grateful that we found Lynn and Ray through TH. We returned from our trip to a house that was thoroughly cleaned (better than we left it ☺), with fresh sheets on the bed, and a happy dog. Five-star sitters for sure!
Alia is truly the most wonderful, loving and kind dog sitter I have used. My husky LOVES her. Not to mention whenever I travel and return home, my apartment is neat and orderly. She even baked a treat for me on my return! I highly recommend Alia. She has sat for me several times and I can't wait to use her again. Thanks Alia! Me and Grey love having you:)

Always a great experience. The staff is amazing and the facility is clean. The safety of your dog is their main priority. My black lab starts to wag his tail the moment we turn the corner and pull in the parking lot of Alpha Dogs...All his best buddies are there waiting for him to play.
My elderly mother needs a pet boarder for the holiday. Alpha dog requested my mother to visit with her 15 year old dog once and then requested three more Visits. They kept her dog five hours each visit promising she was reserved for a holiday week stay. (12/23-27). On her fourth visit they canceled her holiday week reservation indicating her dog is barking in her cage. My mother spent a total of $200, when this pet observation could have been 4 hours NOT 20. On some level it appears like a scam and taking advantage of the elderly. .Be warned.
I had an amazing experience at Alpha Dog, and I want to express my gratitude to the exceptional dog trainers, especially Tiana and Sierra. My dog, Arlo, participated in both obedience training and the Service Dog program, and the results have been truly remarkable. Tiana's thoughtful and effective approach made a significant difference in Arlo's training. She took the time to understand his unique personality and needs, which were key factors in Arlo's successful training journey. The Service Dog program was particularly impressive. Tiana and Sierra provided comprehensive training that focused not only on obedience but also on the specific skills required for service work. Arlo is now well-prepared to assist my son in various situations, thanks to their expertise. Overall, I highly recommend Alpha Dog and Tiana for anyone looking to train their dog. The care and dedication she shows to both the dogs and their owners are truly commendable. Thank you, Tiana, for working with us!
I am a local resident who began bringing my 1.5 year old Standard Poodle, Majik, for daycare a few months ago. The daycare service was great, and everyone that I had spoken with was so informative and thorough, verifying our dog's vaccination/health status. Our main focus was gaining control of the smartest (of 4) standard poodles. While we did a few sessions with recommended training professionals, Alpha Dog had been so effective for daycare, we called to inquire about daycare and training that allowed us to have him to share our beds while they did the training. It has been an incredible experience! The training manager, Samantha McCabe, set up his weekly schedule was very helpful with setting up his weekly schedule, guided us through our outdoor and in-home concerns. His primary trainer, Tiana, and Sierra, handled Majik with such care, working with him out at Crissy Field and the Mill Valley Dop Run 2x a week. After only a few sessions, we noticed an enormous (quantum leap!) increase in his responsiveness. He now comes running even if distracted by other dogs (which are his favorite). She even worked with us at the beach to show us how to continue reinforcing the training! He comes, he stops and drops mid run, which might save his life in a threatening situation. AlphaDog, I am really grateful that we thought to come to you and let you lead the way on how we gain control. We are receiving so much value in the training…And in having a more exercised dog who is less unruly around other dogs… Thank you for all you do!
I have two pitbull puppies Ares and Bentley have come here! Aloha Dog is such a great place to bring them to. They staff took the time to meet them and assess them into the right play group and made the process super easy. Everyone is so nice there. I unfortunately live a little far but know if i need a safe place for them to go my girls will be taken care of really well.
We've been taking our pups to AlphaDog since moving to Marin in October 2018 and could not be happier with their daycare and boarding services. Whether we're leaving them for a few hours, a few days, or a few weeks, we know that everyone on the AlphaDog team will treat our dogs as their own. While I could certainly keep going with my own praise for AlphaDog, the most important feedback comes from the wagging tails as we pull into the parking lot - Lincoln, Millie, and George always know where we are and can't wait to get inside to see their friends!
An absolute gem when it comes to dog boarding. We are SF residents and for the amount of space they have and the value it is worth the quick drive. Our pup Leo has been going here for 3 years now. Staff is super communicative and everyone there really loves their furry customers
The people who work here are very kind, so it pains me to write this review. First, the communication is bad. I waited months for an assessment. Before getting the assessment scheduled, I sent all of my vet records. I explained that I had a dog with a birth defect, and that my vet and I had chosen to leave him intact as a result. AlphaDog told me to have the vet send them a letter and we could get both dogs scheduled for an assessment. Fast forward two months, it's assessment day. I bring the dogs in. They have their four-hour assessment. When I pick up, Veronica, the assistant manager, tells me that they cannot take an intact dog. What a waste of everyone's time. I wasn't going to write a negative review for bad communication. However, my dogs both got kennel cough during their assessment.
Alpha Dog's Board-n-Train and my one on one sessions with Samantha have been life changing in addressing my Great Dane's leash reactivity. She has addressed the underlying root cause to build Henry's confidence gradually. This has transformed his behavior around other dogs while on leash making our walks fun again. I highly recommend AlphaDog!
My dog is everything to me and I trust this place. Our Golden goes here for both training and lodging. During one of longer boardings he ended up having bloody stool (nerves!) and I got an email from our trainer & from the Alphadog owner, as well as multiple texts from Alphadog letting me know what is happening, what action they are taking... I felt well informed and in the loop at all times (and I was out of the country). They took him to the vet and did everything necessary to put me at ease. 5 stars for that. We also did our Service Dog training here and our pup really connected with Sierra (the trainer). I gave her quite a few challenges in terms of my expectations for the pup and she did a stellar job making sure he meets/exceeds the mark. 5 stars for training as well. Once I picked up my dog almost at 11 PM because I wanted to see him asap after a trip and to my surprise someone very friendly opened the door as he was doing his rounds and gave us the dog in an orderly manner. For me this place is not cheap but I feel a sense of security when my dog is here.
Sid is GREAT! My dog Poppy has had daycare with Sid 2-3 days a week for 3 years and occasionally overnight boarding. It is wonderful to see how Poppy lights up when she sees Sid, and I always feel she is in great hands, safe and active with playmates in a small group setting. Sid is conscientious, organized and in a terrific location. Highly recommend!
My dog has been boarding and going to day care with Sid for over two years. I feel much more secure with Sid than any kennel. Going to Sid’s is great for us. I never have to worry and she always keeps me posted my baby girl’s day. As a person Sid is wonderful. I am so glad we found her.
Sid is a true doggie whisperer. My puppy Fluffy loves her and felt comfortable right from the start at her houseboat. She has taken excellent care of him when we had to go on longer trips and kindly sent happy photos of him while we were away. This is very reassuring to my young son who was very worried especially the first time we left him in Sid’s care. She has given me some great dog training advice! I cannot more highly recommend her services. Enjoy!
My dog loves going to Sid’s house. She pulls at her leash with happy anticipation as we make our way along the dock to Sid’s beautiful houseboat. Sid has a calm, loving energy towards pets and their people. She is prompt in her communications and always send updates and photos of my dog frolicking with the other guest pooches. An experienced sitter and trainer Sid has saved me mountains of worry during various medical treatments when I could not care for my dog properly. What a relief to know that she is safe and well cared for. I am grateful and highly recommend Sid Tarlow as an experienced and loving pet sitter. S.E. Alexander San Francisco
My friend Sid has been caring for, boarding, and training my dogs for more than ten years now, and my spouse and I trust her completely with them. In the early years it was our Labrador Retriever, Della and my little mixed-breed, Archie, and their behavior and mood was so fantastic when we'd pick them up, I wondered how Sid did it. It's love. She now has our Chihuahua/Daschund mix, Cocoa whenever we go out of town, or need just an overnight. With pets, Sid is especially attentive to their needs, trains them in sociability and keeps them safe. Cocoa is always happy to be with Sid. We are very grateful to her for all her care, reliability, and talents. Thank you, Sid!
There is no person I trust more with my sweet pup than Sid, and no person my pup would rather be with! The level of care and peace of mind she provides is truly outstanding. Not only does she love my dog as her own but her expertise in dog training was so helpful during the early months with our puppy. We were lucky enough to call Sid our neighbor as well and each time we passed her house our dog would try to drag us there to see her! It’s such a relief knowing our dog is in such loving and capable hands when we can’t be with her. Thanks Sid!
Sidney is so responsible, kind, and affectionate with our Labradoodle, and we fully trust her with him whenever we travel.
Laurie has been providing a fantastic walking experience for our high energy dogs. They come back well-exercised and exhausted. She is reliable and great to work with!
Laurie is a great dog walker. Totally reliable and gets dogs TIRED and socialized. She has been walking my dog five days a week for a couple of years now and I really appreciate her great service.
Very reliable, exceptionally loving and caring pet sitter. We 100% trust Lori to take care of our cats. She makes sure we know they are doing fine with pics and little videos. Our cats love her and we know we don’t have to worry about them and can relax and enjoy our vacation. Highly recommend Lori both as a pet and house sitter.
Lori is the absolute best! She treats our fur baby with the utmost love and care. She is so dependable and loving, we feel so lucky to have had her in our lives for the past several years. We can go out of town with ease because we know our pet is getting the care he deserves. Thank you Lori!
Lori is a wonderful, caring pet sitter who will go out of her way to make sure your pet is loved and professionally taken care of when you are away. She sends a constant stream of texts and photos, and is always there for your dog or cat!
Lori did an excellent job watching our elderly pets (cat 12, dog 15)! Lori was very professional and courteous as well as lovely to work with. Lori was very attentive to their needs and gave them their many medications they required over the course of 6 days while my wife and I were on vacation. It was very difficult finding someone who specialized in taking care of senior pets but Lori was the perfect fit. She was extremely responsive throughout the entire process and treated our pets as if they were her own and really cared for them. She also provided daily updates on how the pets were doing while we were away to let us know they were doing well including pics and videos. Lori stayed overnight at our apartment while we were away and was an outstanding houseguest, leaving the house cleaner than when we left it. The overall value of the services Lori provides were well worth the peace of mind that our pets were very well cared for. I would highly recommend Lori to anyone who needs pet sitting especially for senior pets. Thanks so much Lori!
Lori exceeded all my expectations of an outstanding pet sitter! She cared for my shy little kitty for one week. Lori is dependable and conscientious. Upon my return my cat was not the least stressed (as she usually was with previous pet care help). Lori is knowledgeable with guidance regarding cat behavior that I was not aware of. Best of all, she is a loving person who took the time to play, pet and sweet talk my little one. It was wonderful to receive daily reports and videos. Also, there were a couple of household issues that came up while I was away, and she graciously stepped up and assisted me with them. Lori is the BEST!
Lori’s been a phenomenal pet sitter for our rabbit Sybil. Lori goes above and beyond to make sure Sybil is well looked after. Beyond the basics of just feeding her, giving her water and changing her litter, Lori spends time to play and interact with Sybil. Sybil is extremely shy so the fact she’s willing to play so well with Lori and be comfortable around her is a testament to the patience and care that Lori brings to her pet clients
I recently had to travel for work on short notice and none of the friends who usually cat sit for me were available. So I went to a professional pet sitter for the first time. My cat Leroy is 20 years old and has a few health conditions and medications and special routines, and Lori stuck to it all in a loving way. I really needed someone to stay overnight as Leroy had some recent complications, plus he is an emotionally needy cat and would get lonely with just occasional check ins. Lori was sure to follow all my instructions and routines for Leroy, sending me multiple updates and videos per day - but she would always follow my cadence and text me less if she noticed I was less responsive. Not only did Lori take good care of Leroy, she left my home cleaner than she found it, including the backyard garden. She left everything so that I didn't have to do a thing but unpack when I returned home. The peace of mind of having someone as loving to our furry babies as we are, as well as her attention to detail and reliability is well worth it - I will definitely be hiring Lori again and you should too!
My husband and I left our fur angel baby (wirehaired dachshund) with Lori for four days, and it was our first time leaving him with a petsitter so we weren't sure what to expect, and we were a bit nervous. Well, we had no reason to be, because Newton absolutely LOVED his time with Lori! She is super communicative and sends multiple updates a day (with photos and video) on your fur baby and their adventures. She also stayed at our place, but can host at hers if necessary. Newton had lots of walks and brushing, and lots of love and snuggles. You can tell she just loves animals, and they love her back. Highly recommend Lori!
Lori went above and beyond for her love and attention to my two cats Oscar and Lucy! She even helped me better organize my home to fit my and their needs. She sent regular updates and was 100% responsive and reliable for their care, even willing to stay an extra day when my travel arrangements unexpectedly had to change. I would absolutely recommend for anyone in need of a pet sitter (and a friend!)
Lori is a wonderful Pet sitter, great at her job. She likes to keep things clean, and will really manage your house and pets very well. She has been sitting my two rabbits for a few years now and they love her!
We've known Stacey at All My Love Pet Care for many years and the name of her business says it all. Use Stacey for dog walks, daily visits, or pet sitting, and your pet will receive lots of attention and loving care. Stacey is reliable and professional. She's on time and we have always felt our dogs were in good hands. We highly recommend her!
David has been taken care of my fur babies for several years. He is far away the best cat sitter I’ve ever had. He is completely reliable, conscientious, and a true cat whisperer. He sends me upwards of three videos a day. I cannot recommend him enough.
David has been my excellent cat sitter for my 3, now down to 2, cats since I moved to my retirement home apartment 7 years ago. He feeds the cats, cleans up after them and plays with them, then emails me videos to let me know they are well! He makes it easy to make appointments with him and is very reliable and pleasant. A+++ rating!
David is great, I have been using him since around 2011 and that really says how good he is with cats. He really takes great care of cats, and he also has helped me learn more about them has he has given me some good tips about nutrition and some behavioral things he observes. I can travel comfortably knowing David will take good care when I am away, highly recommend him.
David has taken care of our two cats for 15 years now and we couldn’t be happier. Not only he takes good care of the kitties and sends us videos of them when we are gone, but he has been know to take care of unexpected problems a few times while we were gone. We recommend him whole heartedly.
The absolute best in the business hands down, I trust him with my cat’s lives for many years now. I am so protective of my fur babies and was so nervous to leave them with a sitter after a few not so great sitters but once I found David I never looked back. I’m only sharing this secret now cuz he’s the most booked sitter in town, and we are sadly moving so now I’m not sure what I’ll do but for those in SF: *He speaks cat, he understands even my most wild cat who let David hold him before he let me hold him 😂 (and taught him catch!). *He taught me that fountains are terrible, just use clean bowls. *He taught us about automatic feeders which were very much needed at certain times. *And we use the best litter for allergies after his recommendations (Smart Cat All Natural, 100% grass). *He taught us what brushes the cats like (the travel size ones and the dustpan brushing). *This winter it was freezing and he let me know that it might be cold for the cat and he turned on an electric blanket for him.
Punctual, trust-worthy, loves cats; highly recommended
We are so grateful for Camp K-9. Our pup Mila can sometimes be anxious boarding and their staff took extra special care with her helping her adjust to a new environment (thank you Meighan!). We also recently used their Emergency line when we had a family emergency and needed an early morning boarding solution before 6 am. They were responsive, flexible, and supportive — truly going the extra mile for their clients. Thank you Camp K-9!
We love Camp K-9 for daycare and boarding! The staff is incredible with the dogs and do a great job of grouping the dogs together, our puppy is always sad to be picked-up, because of how much fun she has with the humans and dogs. Also nothing is better then picking up a clean puppy after a weekend away, the bath services are great!
We love camp K9. My dog thinks it’s home. He never hesitates to go! They make it fun, and take their job seriously. Greatest place when I’m traveling I know my best friend is safe and having fun🥳 …
COVID update- you drop off pups outside, masked, and they use their leashes. Felt really safe! I have been a huge fan of this spot for years! Our older dog *only* barks when he comes here because he is so excited. The facility is great- modern, clean- and the people are super sweet & organized. Four paws up 🐾 🐾!
The best, most caring doggy day and overnight boarding ever!!! The staff is awesome and obviously dog people! I can’t recommend Camp K-9 of Marin highly enough!!!!
Our dog loves this camp and it's staff (even though she's not a huge people person)! Staff is very friendly. Their covid staffing is limited so there's specific drop off and pickup times. They have a few different yards for the dogs and you can upgrade their overnight stays with additional services. Our dog is always tired but extremely happy when she comes home!
Love the puppy classes with Rayel! Benny has been to two Puppy I classes, and has already learned so much! Highly recommend!
Camp K-9 is amazing! We’re always sad to leave our pup but know that he’s in good hands. Every time we pick him up he doesn’t want to leave! They take such good care of our doggo, can’t recommend this place enough, y’all are the best!
Stepped it down a couple of stars. I like bringing our dogs, past and present, to Camp K9, especially for the Nest Cams. I have peace of mind knowing that I can pop on, click the cam for locations to check on my dog, even it's brief. This past time around, after leaving town, I noticed their cams were down, this went on for a couple of days, then noticed they posted a disclaimer, "Camp is experiencing technical difficulties and currently our web cams are down! We're doing what we can to get them back up and visible on line so please bear with us! Will let you know here when they are up again. Thank you." It's Sunday, the cameras are still O of O. From now on I will check their website cams first before dropping off my K9. It's not cheap to board there, but if this is going on, then I'll ask for adjustments to my board fee as well, or find another facility.
I have a 10 year old basenji that can be quite difficult with other dogs due to an incident/attack she had when she was younger. They interviewed her and put her with the right group. I won't go anywhere else for boarding and they really take care of her. I have piece of mind when I leave her. She has also done day camp.
We love Betty because OUR DOG LOVES Betty! He needed to be carried into his last daycare, but he eagerly walks himself to Betty's and then doesn't want to leave when we come back for him! Betty sends photo updates and tops his dinner with chicken to make sure he eats. Charlie won't leave until he's given Betty goodbye kisses, and that's how I know he's been loved in my absence.
Betty goes above and beyond and taking care of her guests. My 17-year-old Bichon, Suzy was well taken care of and came back spoiled after her 8 day stay! I received daily updates and pictures. I highly recommend Betty and we'll see her again in 3 weeks time.
Betty's home is paradise for dogs! Can't recommend highly enough
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Adam at Salty Paws is absolutely amazing! Our dog has never been happier or more well-exercised. Adam is incredibly professional, reliable, and genuinely cares about the dogs he walks. He takes stunning photos and I have a beautiful album of Adam’s work shooting my best friend. He treats every pup as if it were his own. Our dog gets so excited when Adam arrives and always comes back tired and happy after a nice day at the beach. If you’re looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker in Mill Valley, Salty Paws is your guy!

I've known Adam for a while and he's willing to go above and beyond to care for your dog. He treats your dogs like children with lots of love and care. I fully trust him and think he's one of the most affordable walkers for the effort and time he puts in. He really should charge more and if you're not convinced, check his Instagram page Saltypawssf.
