I cannot recommend Alyssa enough! Professional, very educated in animal behaviour, easy to communicate with and, most importantly, she truly loves the animals. My big boy loved her, would race to the door when he heard her car and whine at her voice when I played videos of their daily adventures. Pictures from their adventures would always brighten my day at work, and I always knew he was in great hands with her and would come home happy and tired. They don't come any better than Alyssa!

Kamloops, you don’t know how lucky you are! Alyssa has been walking our little Beagle weekly and boarding her occasionally for 3+ years. We would recommend her without hesitation. She treats every dog (from well behaved to misunderstood) as if they were her own. She absolutely loves her job and you can tell by how she gives each dog her warmth and attention. Our Beagle can be stubborn and has had a slew of health issues, but Alyssa has always been supportive, understanding and helpful in managing each issue as it comes. Alyssa has cared for our fur babies for a long time and they love her! It's a good feeling when you leave your dog with someone and they don't even look back because they're so excited to be with her. She's reliable, trustworthy and most importantly, she will care for your pets like they are her own. We had Alyssa do house visits when we were away for the cat and fish while boarding our dog with her. When we were home, she took our dog for potty breaks, group walks and around the block walks. Marg & Mark take the bestest care of my sweet baby girl Delta when I’m away for two weeks at a time working. I get to look forward to receiving pictures. She’s so excited when she gets there, races right to the door. Though we’re both sad when I leave, she is even more excited to see me when I get home. The transition is easy when I get home, she’s just her sweet loving self. She’s just a part of the family there as she is here. Lots of company, lots of comfort, exercise and love.

My dog has pretty bad separation anxiety and cannot be left alone. He’s also extremely social and loves interacting with all dogs. I was so pleased when I found Spot the Dog. They have been incredible for when I need a day to run errands, or longer term boarding when travelling for work. Mark and Marg are incredibly accommodating and provide a safe and happy space where my dog can run around and socialize all day long. He always comes home so very happy and extremely exhausted. Spot The Dog is by far the best thing that's ever happened to my pupper. I reached out to Mark and Marg after some concerns with another local center and since switching, my anxious pupper has done a complete 180. They took the time to assess my dog and give her slow introductions to see how she would do with their pack and it has made a world of difference. Mark and Marg have been so caring and supportive of not just my dog but also myself as I learn to be a more confident dog owner. The owners and their staff have all been phenomenal and really treat my girl like she's part of the family. They have done everything right to make sure she succeeds at daycare. It's amazing to see her really enjoying her time there rather than just making it through the day. I truly can't thank them enough for all they've done for us. I finally have a dog who knows how to be a dog! It breaks my heart that we are moving cities but we'll be back for a visit whenever we're in town. They're just that good!!

My dog Fred stayed there for a long weekend. He came home happy but exhausted (he's usually pretty lazy) so the exercise and hanging out with other dogs was good for him. Very friendly people who clearly love dogs. We will be back!

Haven't been here with my dogs but I've had at least 4 people recommend this place, nothing but 100% positive feedback. I also see their staff walking the dogs every morning when im at the park, awesome people, great attitude, and tentative to the dogs at all times. Will be using them when we have to board our pups in the future.

My favorite place to get hugs from all varieties of canine.. Here, they dont care if you are black, blond, old, stinky, shortlegged, blunt nosed or there is not enough waxing stuff available to get rid of all the body hair. You are loved...unconditionally...

TLC Pet Resort in Kamloops has been the most wonderful place to leave our dear little dogs whenever we have gone on vacation. The staff are amazing. They are so thoroughly trained, so exceptionally kind and friendly to everyone and to all of the pets in their care. They are pet owners themselves so understand well the responsibilities of looking after pets as well as the emotional bonds shared between pets and their owners. They are playful and have fun with the dogs, big and small, indoors or outside in the vast, adventurous playground. I always appreciate the watchfulness as well knowing that the staff are alert to anything that arises where a pet might need extra attention. Our oldest and last dog became hard of hearing and partially blind. She was confused at times and needed to be close to people for reassurance. She was given such tender care by the staff for which we are forever grateful. As pet owners we knew that our dogs were always welcomed, safe, happy, well cared for and so cared about at TLC Pet Resort. Thank you, Tammy and staff for all the years of such exceptional care for Molly and Dublin!

I just want to share the kindness of the owner and staff! My friend and I were driving back to Kamloops from Edith Lake when we were stopped just ahead of this place due to a telephone pole on fire. The owner immediately welcomed us to park in her driveway in the shade so that we were off the road and away from the fire. She then invited us to use her restrooms, and her staff brought us over water bottles, as it was 30+ degrees! I was so touched by their kindness which means everything these days. Thank you for being so kind and helping us and others 🤍

I travelled to Kamloops to visit my mom who was placed in dementia care; and my parrot came with me for the drive. I contacted TLC to inquire about bird sitting and they welcomed us and took loving care of her so that I could be with my mom. Thank you so much!

Friendly service, with clean good sized kennels. The place is also well insulated with music, heaters and cameras.

Got in touch with Maureen about our dog staying with her while we left town for a wedding. Communication was good, website clear, and she gave me a tour of the facility before I dropped my dog off. There's a big field (fenced) for dogs to run and play in, with a pool and shade and many toys. There are some smaller outdoor runs as well. Inside, there is a large, air conditioned room that is partitioned into individual stalls. We were a little nervous about boarding our dog because a) he's our baby and b) he's a dog-reactive GSD. Because of his social issues, we asked that he be kept separate from other dogs. When I came to drop off our dog, I was met by Lisa, one of the employees. She was great and immediately put me at ease, as she has experience with reactive dogs, and immediately interacted well with him. Throughout his stay, Lisa kept us updated with photos and comments that reassured us that all was well. We picked up our dog tired and happy. He hadn't lost weight, wasn't frantic to leave, and hadn't been a nuisance to his caretakers or other dogs. Overall, we would highly recommend Absolute Kennels to anyone in the Kamloops area looking to board their dog. They are accommodating with temperaments and other individual needs. Thanks to Maureen and Lisa and we'll definitely be back next time!

The crew at Absolute Kennels is amazing. Between our family, we have 4 large breed dogs, and they normally stay together, which was accommodated at Absolute. A few of meds, 1 has high fear/anxiety, and we came home to 4 happy, healthy, and well cared for dogs at an extremely reasonable rate. Plus, there was absolutely NO KENNEL smell on any of them or their beds. Cannot thank them enough for caring for our fur babies! Ginger, Tank, Leo, and Pepper

We were a little nervous about using a kennel for our 5 yr old Frenchie and 11 yr old Bugg. They had never been to a kennel and haven't been in contact with other dogs as they are not too friendly. We were put at ease with Lisa explaining that she would have them separated and kept safe. She sent us photos of rhem playing and outside. We are extremely happy with the service, care and love they gave our pups. Our dogs came home tired but happy and actually somehow better behaved. Lol. We all look forward to our next visit soon. We just picked up our Chihuahua after boarding her for 8 days. We have nothing but the best to say about how she was handled. Our instructions on how to look after her were followed and her stay went very well. Pictures were texted to us part way through the stay which showed us how well she was doing...We are very happy and recommend this k Kennel!

We have taken our dog to Maureen and her team many times. We always feel comfortable knowing that our dog is having fun and being well taken care of. Maureen's knowledge of dog behaviours has been very valuable and she doesn't hesitate to share suggestions to assist us. Frankie loves going to see Maureen!

I have waited over two months to leave this review as I was so upset by my dogs stay that I wanted to process my experience before I left this review. To begin I called months before and discussed boarding my dogs and decided to bring them in for doggie daycare several times before leaving for our trip. The reason I chose this kennel is because they have the home program and I didn’t want my dogs to stay in a kennel for 16 days. I was assured that they would stay in Maureen’s house not the kennel. They both went to daycare twice and seemed ok with their stays, so on the day we were leaving we dropped our two dogs, their leashes, food and beds. I texted Maureen who assured me a couple of days later that they were doing just fine and Lisa sent us pictures again telling us at day 6 that they were good. On the day we picked them up we were handed their beds in pieces with the covers ripped off and in pieces, the bedding was filthy, their leashes could not be found and when I express my concern at this Maureen indicated that perhaps I should not have boarded them for so long…as if it were my fault somehow. She then mentioned that they had a very nice kennel. I was stunned. I didn’t mention anything as I was so upset. We specifically paid for the home program so they would not be stressed in a kennel. I texted Maureen later that night expressing my concern. She said because my dog had just finished her cycle (she is spayed by removing her uterus but her ovaries are intact) she was upsetting the male dogs so she kennelled her with her sister. Never was that mentioned in any communication while we were texting during their stay. I expressed my concern to which Maureen replied back that it was because my dog was so smelly and sleezy. Seriously? Sleezy? I was stunned by that text. The aftermath of a nearly 2k stay was hotspots on my puppy from chewing her tail so much from a nervous reaction post kennel stay and permanent damage of her vocal cords which our vet felt was due to excessive strain likely caused by ongoing barking, which is likely as she has never been in a cage for 16 days straight. This kennel was the simply the worst experience we have had with a kennel and I would ask anyone that loves your pet to reconsider before you bring your pet here

Our dog spent three nights here on two separate occasions, resulting in a chewed up harness, lost food scoop, lost brand new toy, and the requirement to ask for them to search for his bag, leash, and other items before leaving. Better organization and respect for our items would go a long way. The location and setup for the dogs is very nice and I would consider returning if these items were addressed.

It was very hard for us to find someone to look after our fur babies, and to stay at our house at the same time while we were away, so we just never travelled together. Once we discovered MuttHut all that changed. Jillian was amazing, very professional and our dogs were very comfortable with her. We felt at ease to have her staying at our house while we were away, and were able to enjoy our time away without worrying about what was happening at home. We highly recommend MuttHut if you ever need this type of service for your fur babies.

Jill has watched our dogs for us a few times now. Our dogs LOVE her! She spoils them so much and always sends us lots of videos and pictures while we are away. She has given us so much reassurance while we are away on holidays knowing our fur babies are well taken care of.

Drove to Sorrento from Alberta & left our dog at Parklane for a few days. She has never stayed with anyone other than family & I am so pleased with the service we received! She got lots of exercise and loving. I could tell that they do truly care for your dog while they are there. They took the time to let her warm up, as she is very shy! Definitely will be back if we’re in the area! Highly recommend!

Wayne was very friendly and accommodating. The Kennels are great and have indoor/outdoor access. Our dogs stayed with him for almost a week, and seemed happy and well taken care of when we picked them up. Would definitely use Parklane Kennels again!

Thank you to Wayne at Parklane for caring for Myrah. Myrah doesn't get along with other dogs. Our once in a blue moon family vacation out to Scotch Creek, meant we wanted a kennel in close proximity, just in case of any "problems". She's never been in a kennel while we've had her, so we weren't expecting her to do well. Wayne made it possible for us to pull off this week long vacay. We very much recommend Wayne and Parklane kennels. If your headed to the Shuswaps and in need of a caring and reliable kennel, look them up.

Nice and clean, individual, indoor, air conditioned kennels. We board our 2 dogs together in one "apartment". Each has its own individual doggie door to an outdoor, enclosed outdoor space, that leads to a larger outdoor dog run area. Very reasonably priced. Love the service and friendliness of the owners who live onsite.

We have recently started private classes with Alana at Cherry Creek Kennel to address our pups reactivity. We have a Belgian Malinois. And all I can say, I regret that we didn’t reach out to them earlier! Alana is a wonderful trainer! While we are still work in progress, she has helped us immensely as we are finally able to manage our pup’s reactivity in real life environment. Alana is very knowledgeable when it comes to working breeds and it’s a huge bonus point. And my pup is so happy when we come to their facility, and this says a lot. Outside of training, both Riley and Alana are very pleasant to deal with, you can tell that they are very invested in work they do. Overall, if you’re looking for a trainer for you and your pup, choose Cherry Creek Kennel and you won’t regret it. P.S. I especially recommend them if you have a working breed dog. Their expertise with such breeds will accelerate your pup’s and your own progress in training.

This is my second review about Cherry Creek Kennel. I have very great experiences with their Board and Train Program and individual training sessions with Riley. It has been five months after my one year old German Shepherd dog, Milo, he had completed the Board and Train Program at CCK. Riley and Alana did remarkable works by helping us to set up a solid foundation on training, not only to my dog, but also to myself. Milo maintains very well of what he was trained there. The detailed notes from B&T are significantly helpful guidelines for me to continue following through the works to generalize the training in all environments. The result is absolutely amazing! My relationship with Milo is much healthy through clear communications and our bonding is obviously improved. Riley also made couple of sessions with us to ensure our training is on the right track. Besides, their post-service is remained, Riley responded rapidly when I asked her for help, or something that I need to clarify on training. Riley is genuine wanting to help her clients and her dogs with heart and soul. I am incredibly grateful for her knowledge, positivity, patience and kindness. She understands my capability and my dog’s character trait. Besides, she explained very well to me what we need in our training and how to achieve my goals. I am so impressed that Riley taught me so patiently and her training style makes me very comfortable, and yet she will get to the points to help me understand and learn. I commit to keep on training with Riley to get Milo to a higher standard of training as to get the best out of him. At the end of each session with Riley, I always so anticipating to the next one. I am so thankful for their helping. Milo now becomes a lot more calm with wonderful obedience than what he used to be, though he is still very young, I love to take him everywhere and continue exploring the world.

I met Riley when she first opened the kennel in 2020 and I desperately needed help with my (then) 1.5 year old male Lab who had become reactive to other dogs. Within a few training sessions I learned so many essential things from Riley about myself and my dog. She is an excellent trainer and a no-nonsense person who gets right to the root of things and gives detailed and useful information so you can continue the relationship with your dog (without her). She has always been available over the past 4 years to answer my questions and I was able to train our 2nd pup from scratch using the same information. Last week we used the boarding facility for the first time. Our 2 dogs are almost never boarded and they spent a whole week there without issue. The facility is clean, well organized and full of toys (and love). We saw photos of our dogs everyday and got a complete summary from Riley when we picked them up. Thanks, as always, Riley for your hard work and dedication. We know you treat our pups like your own and we had total peace of mind with them in your care. Angela & Bruce (pups Orion & Maggie).

Riley and Alanna are amazing. They really helped our dog gain some confidence and helped me and my wife better understand how to handle our pup when he's troubled. Very happy with the board and train and Piper loves visiting the kennel on vacation.

Alana and Riley have been so helpful getting our young, rambunctious, lab mix on the right track. I was skeptical of using a balanced (utilizing corrections) trainer, we tried strictly positive reinforcement for about a year and a half and weren’t really getting anywhere. The TWO training sessions we’ve done with Alana have made a world of difference. Not only that, but he clearly loves the kennel when we board him there overnight. We are in extremely capable hands and I highly, highly recommend Cherry Creek. Best money we’ve ever spent.

If you’re looking for a safe, clean, and comfortable kennel to board your dog, check out Cherry Creek Kennel. When we took Indy and Leia out to meet Riley, it was good to see how happily they interacted with her, and she put our minds at ease as she told us about herself and her years of canine experience. The other thing we like is that the kennels are fully fenced and each kennel has their own contained indoor and outdoor space. There are a couple of outdoor yards the dogs have access to for supervised playtime with a controlled number of other dogs. If you’ve arranged for training, there are spaces for that as well. As with most kennels, there is an immunization requirement for the protection of all the dogs, and that’s appreciated. I was looking for a boarding facility to board my 11-year old border collie cross, Sadie, last month while visiting the Kamloops area. Sadie is a rescue with unique needs and finding a boarding facility that I am comfortable leaving Sadie at has been a challenge. Cherry Creek Kennels came highly recommended and after boarding Sadie there for the weekend I can understand why. Riley and Alana left me with the peace of mind that Sadie would be safe and her individual needs accommodated. I picked up one very happy girl on Sunday morning and could tell by her energy and the smile on her face that she was well looked after. So grateful to have found Cherry Creek and will definitely bring Sadie again next time I’m in Kamloops.

These girls are the best! We have a big dog who needed help with his recall, a couple months of hard work and he has 100% recall now. His breed is a stubborn one so we were very skeptical that it would work but it did, and we are so happy with the results!

My dog has been going here for daycare and overnight stays since he was little. He absolutely loves Kari and his furry friends at daycare. I trust Kari completely and she treats my dog as her own. Kari is very responsive and I get regular updates and photographs of my dog when he is there. Highly recommend!

Where do I even start? Kari is an actual ANGEL with the dogs and they feel so at home. We went on holidays for a week, came home, picked the dogs up and my husband says, “the dogs seem… off?” I’m like, “yes, they miss Kari…” lol! I couldn’t recommend this dog resort more. She went above and beyond for us when we had an opportunity to extend our ski trip in Sun Peaks for an extra two nights, and didn't hesitate to accommodate our request. She even provided the extra dog food we needed to allow us to stay. There's good service and then there is exceptional service, which is what Tania provided. Tania's kennel is a good one. There is indoor/outdoor accommodation for all weather conditions, a good play area, and great care provided. Our Alaskan Malamute, Ruby, had stayed at Two Paws Up several times for 2 or 3 days at a time over a recent span of two years. Then we went to Europe for 18 nights away. Ruby didn't agree to an extended stay and chewed through the chain-link fencing on her run only to find she had "escaped" to the run next door! In a different run with heavier chain-link, she figured out how to get under the heavier fencing! Tania brought Ruby into her home for the remaining 15 nights of our absence. She and her Staff looked after Ruby with the professional diligence that prevented any further difficulties. I trust Tania and the Staff she works with. You can too! Aleta Wallace 16oct23

We've been boarding our poodles here for well over a decade (after a horrible experience at another local kennel where my standard poodle was traumatized). He LOVED 2 Paws Up!) On the drives to Tappen the dogs figure out where they were going and get so excited! At pick-up time, they greet me happily, but are in no hurry at all to leave all their new canine friends and the fun at Tania's. They give her goodbye kisses. That is the best sign to me that this is the best boarding kennel around! We travel several times a year, and are thankful our baby(ies) are cared for, and enjoying their vacation, too.

Chelsea is super great our doggo loves going there. She walks them daily has play time and takes them to the river for a swim if they are allowed to. Our doggo comes back very tired and well taken care of. Due to the forest fires around the area we have had to change some bookings and she has been very flexible and understanding.

Absolutely wonderful kennel! We were traveling this way to go house boating and needed weekend accommodations for our dog. Chelsea was so easy to communicate with, we ended up having to change our reservation last minute as one dog got injured right before the trip and she was fantastic to deal with. During the stay I received many photos/videos of my dog having the absolute best time at the beach.

It was a great feeling to know that our dog was well cared for and able to run on a big acerage with a river beside it. Chelsea runs the pet resort as if every dog was hers, she posts daily Instagram photos..We would definitely recommend Chelsea and the pet resort !!!!

Shuswap Pet Resort is PHENOMENAL! This was my first time leaving my little dachshund anywhere, and I was beyond nervous. Right from booking, Chelsea made me feel SO comfortable with answering all my questions. The facility/land is absolutely beautiful and drop off was easy and smooth. Chelsea kept me informed for the entirety of my 8 day vacation constantly sending me videos and updates on Toby. I love that Chelsea posts on Instagram so I could stay updated through her story when I wanted to check in on my dog. Toby had an AMAZING time and is a whole new pup now that I've picked him up. I would 150% recommend Shuswap Pet Resort as my FIRST and ONLY choice in the Shuswap area. They took care of amd loved my dog in the same way that I do and I couldn't be more grateful! THANK YOU Shuswap team!

Couldn’t ask for a better place!!! I was kinda skeptical about bringing my dog to a place for a week, but right away I could tell she was in great hands. They go above and beyond! I got pictures and videos everyday of my dog Charlotte playing, swimming and sleeping. She definitely cares about every dog there, it’s not just a job. This will be the only place I bring my dog from now on. Couldn’t be happier

We are so happy we found the shuswap pet resort. The owners and staff were absolutely amazing with our lil busy boy Arlo. We have never felt comfortable leaving him at any kennel until now. As soon as we drove in we knew he was going to love it. He spent 3 wonderful days making new friends and even used as a therapy dog for active and anxious dogs having trouble settling in. We picked him up a happy and confident lil man. Definitely highly recommend the wonderful shuswap pet resort for your furry lil friends. Thank you again to Chelsea and Katy for going over and above for our lil gentle soul Arlo❤️❤️❤️ we will be back soon and for a long time after❤️❤️

Amazing kennel where you feel so comfortable leaving your furry family members. Wendy was so quick to respond, incredibly friendly and accommodating. She was great with our dogs. We left both my dog and my parents dog together and they were extremely well cared for. We will definitely be coming back :)

I had an excellent experience with Shuswap Pet Resort. I was tree planting in the area and needed daycare for my dog during the long hours I was at work. They were very flexible and accommodating with the early morning drop off and late evening pick up times that I needed. The price was really reasonable and my dog seemed to enjoy going there too!

My pup LOVES wiggle pups. Every time we pull into the driveway he gets so excited and does the boxer kidney bean every time he sees Brooke. Wiggle Pup's has great pickup and drop off hours and I love that it is a smaller daycare so that I know my pup is getting the attention he needs.

Our dogs love going to see Brooke and their friends at Wiggle Pups! Brooke is flexible, easy to work with and treats ours dogs so so good! We are so grateful too have somewhere we trust for our dogs to go!

My dog Jake has been going over the past few months. He gets so excited everytime we pull into the driveway. It has taught him social skills with other dogs. He adores Brook. I have peace of mind knowing he is having fun while I'm working. Highly recommend.
