I was very happy with the love and affection that was very apparent when Travis and Shannon met the pups. I received one picture on my trip and was happy to see Shannon cuddled under a doggie pile. Nothing like seeing your dogs being loved by others as their own. Every thing was in its place when I return which was nice. I also received a welcome home gift handmade by them which was very lovely and made my day. I highly recommend them as trustworthy and reliable pet sitters to anyone.
We had the pleasure of having Maggie (for the second time) to take care of our home and beloved dog Frida while we were away for 2 weeks. We couldn’t be happier! Neither could Frida! Our big dog is sometimes a bit stubborn and Maggie managed amazingly. We had daily photos and video, and Frida was clearly very happy, comfortable and very well looked after. We highly recommend Maggie to anyone in need of trustworthy and dedicated house sitter and animal lover
Leah & Elias, were an absolute joy as housesitters. They arrived a day early so we could all meet and go over the pets routine. Our cat is relatively new and has a little separation anxiety but they managed his care really well. Our dog needed to be dropped off at a sitters and they took care of that as well. We also came home to a clean and neat house! Overall, they went above and beyond and I highly recommend them.
Jerry gets a five star in every area! We actually connected on the phone before he ever arrived but once he got here, it was like we known each other forever! He was very thorough and how he was going to take care of the dogs and the house!! very friendly with the dogs, and they immediately connected with him!! dogs know when they are💖💖 he arrived early so he could become familiar with Circus and tinker and the house and we had a meal together and quickly became best friends! He sent pictures while we were away and updates. Every day. He was gone by the time we came back, but it honestly looked like he had never been in the house. Everything was perfect just like we left it.❗️❗️❗️ so if you’re looking for a Pet Sitter that is reliable in every way, and you know for sure is going to take good care of your pets this man is the one you want to have come to your home❗️❗️ you won’t be disappointed and I can promise you that💖🎉
Evan and Maria were fabulous. They are experienced sitters and it shows in their independence. They sent regular updates, but not too regular and were totally self sufficient. Most importantly both the house and dog were perfect when we returned home.
Jo & David were absolutely amazing sitters for our house and dog Rosie while we were out of town for 2 1/2 weeks. They are the best! Jo was super communicative and responsive at all times. She and David bonded with our dog, who grew very attached to them. They left our house super clean (and there were even chocolate chip cookies for us on our return)! Most of all, they are just super nice people and very easy to work with. Anyone is lucky to have JoAnna & David housesit for them.
Robert and Biljana are absolutely the best sitters you could ever get. We have used them several times already. They have always arrived at the stated date and time. They are eager to receive any and all instructions and will follow them as stated. They keep us informed almost every day on our dogs and send pictures regularly. They always go above and beyond their duties. Robert has fixed a few things around the house without being asked. They buy things for our dogs and have even trained our dogs on certain issues. They made a concerted effort to get to know the neighbors and talked up our dogs to all of them. They will be discreet with any and all information given. We really appreciated all their hard work and effort. They have certainly elevated the bar for the next sitters. Biljana took very good care of our plants and spoiled our dogs to excess. They now expect the same from us!! We will welcome them back anytime. Hiring them is a decision that will not be regretted.
Duha was such a light to have in our home while we were away. She kept us updated with beautiful photos of our dogs throughout her stay and didn’t leave their side once. I’ve never felt so comfortable with any other sitter and I truly hope this won’t be the last time she sits for us.
Oh my Goodness! Where to begin. Linda was the perfect house sitter for us and the perfect pet sitter for Olivia! She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. When we returned from out two week vacation all our plants were alive, the garden was alive, the birds and fish had been fed regularly, and the dog was alive and happy! What more can you ask for, right? Well with Linda you get all that and more. Updates as you request - even videos of her morning walks with Olivia. The house as spotless as we left it, maybe even better! Even the porches were clean! Linda is a genuine treasure and our recommendation would be 10 stars if there were that many!!
Melissa and Chris are amazing. We are very picky about our dog sitters, and we chose them because they have been doing this for a long time and track your wants and needs carefully and follow through with utmost care and integrity. They offered to come the day before we left to meet Winnie so that we could rest in that she would trust them and connect to them. Honestly, we would hire them as our only dog sitter all of the time if we could. I cannot thank them enough and say enough good things about them. They also took very good care of our house and plants.

Love to rent the pool for the dogs. They have a great time and get much needed exercise. Linda is a great swim teacher and the pool is always clean!
We boarded our older dog for 4 nights. During the 'interview', the owner was detached and barely interacted with our dog, telling us to just let him explore. When he fell into one of the drains around the play yard and was struggling to get out, she offered no help, and I had to help him out. She even told us that would help him learn to watch out for the drains. But based on other reviews, and the price, we boarded him there anyway. When we picked him up, he had feces caked on his bottom and he smelled very strongly of urine. We had to ask the young lady in charge for some paper towels, and she watched us clean him off as best we could. Even then, he smelled so badly that we took him to be bathed before we would even consider taking him home. Finally, they couldn't find his collar, and they didn't return his bedding. He's an older dog with anxiety, and while we have no idea what kind of care and interaction they provided while he was there, none of us, including our pet, were impressed, and we won't be boarding him there again. It may have been inexpensive, but in this case, we think we got less than what we paid for.
Absolutely fantastic! This was our first time boarding here. Our dog is an extremely anxious girl, so having to board her makes me nervous. Upon arrival the owner sat with us outside the building until our dog was calm and ready to go in. We did this at each step of the journey to the kennel our dog would be using. I have never had individualized care like this at any boarding facility! I was able to leave our dog there knowing she was going to be taken care of.
First time we left our dog we adopted only six months ago. I think we're more nervous than he was. Everyone was very nice and put us at ease. Showed us around the whole facility which is very nice. Everyone there truly care about the welfare of all the animals in their care. Came back to a happy healthy pup that seemed to of had a great vacation! Nice to not have to worry about him knowing he is in good hands. Thanks and I'm sure he'll be back again.
Best place around and very nice people I'd take my pets there anytime. They have boarding, dog pool, and dog training. Some of the best people i ever met.
Owner is amazing and so accommodating. The best part is the price per night us reasonable and she doesn't tack on surprise "extra" charges. Like petting time, or treats, or walks. The "pamper" charge that some places call it. It's already built into the per night. You don't need your dog to go to and overpriced spa for them to be loved and well taken care of while you're gone. Side note: the play yard is super cool.
Linda is THE BEST! She cares for your animals like nobody else. We have been returning every summer for 12 years. Every time he goes, he is SPOILED! It is worth the drive! You just don't worry while you are gone.
Whoever drives the silver Chevy with the Timber Ridge Kennel sticker on the rear window should have their license revoked. Almost wrecked into me today on 895 driving like an absolute maniac. Wouldn’t suggest taking your animals here with the way this d canoe handles himself.
I was looking for a "family run" business to leave my puppy because I'm tired of all these places not really providing her with the exercise and cuddles that she needs. Turns out this place is worse. My dog is extremely go with the flow and doesnt really care much about anything as long as theres a place to run around. I couldnt really get in touch with Linda (owner) because she appears to be very busy as she runs this place completely on her own. I had a few phone calls with her and everything seemed fine. She did get frustrated with the phone service she had and abruptly hung up on me mid conversation but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. My boyfriend dropped her off and described it to "look like a shelter" but he can be dramatic and like I said shes usually fine as long as she can play. When i picked her up Linda was not there. I called her and she said she'd be there in 15, so I waited in my car. About 7 min later I hear someone legit SCREAMING at me "HELLO! HELLO IM HERE HELLO...." and so I got out of my car. she told me to go get my dog (pretty sure she didnt even know which one was mine). I walked down the rows of screaming dogs and basically paid and left. It was sooo hot and steamy in the "shelter" room....no report on how she was, no conversation, nothing. My dog was completely unlike herself. she had absolutely no voice (usually her voice is hoarse but it was GONE), she looked like she was in shock. this is soooo unlike my dog. I was beyond upset and would never recommend or bring her back here. I dont typically write reviews especially in such detail, but I feel like I wish I did some more research and listened to my gut. The idea behind the place is nice, but Linda is completely understaffed and the dogs are very clearly just locked away and let out a few times here and there. No neglect happened or anything, I just didnt like the way it looked/felt/she was acting...
Awesome place for pets. Linda, the owner, has been taking care of our babies everytime we go on vacation for the past 7 years. She is so wonderful and really cares about the dogs. So many services to choose from!!!
We have three crazy quirky reactive pups that need separate kennels and Faraway had the perfect setup to accommodate them. Our pups were happy and healthy when we picked them up. It was obvious that their mental stimulation and physical needs were met and taken care of. They also made sure that our anxious pups were as comfortable! We would recommend them to anyone in the area!
Lisa and her crew are amazing! They are so good with our girls. It is so nice to be able to go away and know your pups are being cared for so well!
I just picked my dogs up from Lisa this evening and they didn't even care that I was there, it's like they didn't want to leave! Lisa and her staff take excellent care of pets being boarded and I know my pets enjoyed their stay. She has owned the kennel for around 25 years and I know she has so much knowledge and experience under her belt that I feel very comfortable leaving my pets at Faraway Kennels when I am away from home. Thank you Lisa! :) Highly recommend!
This a wonderful place to take your pet to for boarding! They take great care of your animal. No extra charges for the little things, like medications. They work with dogs that have behavior issues, which made it great for me due to have a dog who has some behavior issues. I would highly recommend bringing your dog for a stay here. I will be bringing my boy back again for sure!
I boarded my 3 dogs here for 4 days and all my dogs came back completely healthy and happy to see me. I'm very happy with how helpful and nice the owners were and very much happy with the price. 2 of my dogs are typically very skittish and sometimes aggressive yet they had a great time and enjoyed all the attention. I definitely plan to use this place again for whenever I plan a trip again.
Faraway kennels is the only place that we trust to leave our pets when we go on vacation. Lisa and the crew do an exceptional job caring for the animals. If you're looking for peace of mind and a great value, this is the place to go.
Over the years, our dogs have been lovingly cared for at Far Away Kennel. Lisa, the owner, is always kind. Whenever we go away, we know she will take good care of Zoey for us. We wouldn't take Zoey anywhere else.
Excellent kennel. Great staff. Dogs are well cared for.
Owner takes excellent care of our furry family members!
Just like home
We boarded our 17 year old Kitty at Lucky Stars recently. What a great place! Everyone was pleasant and seemed to enjoy working there. The kennels for cats are generously sized, private from other cats and have a window view. Kitty did not eat the first night so the staff spoon fed her some of her food encouraging her to eat on her own. We also found out that we needed an extra day and they happily accommodated us. Lucky Stars Country Kennel will definitely have Kitty as a guest again during our next trip.
Lucky Stars is a great place for all dogs. The people who work there truly care for your dog's well-being. When we pick our dog up from there, at least 4 times a week, she is ready for dinner and bed. The staff goes out of their way to cater to your dogs needs. I highly recommend this Luck Stars Country Kennel!!!!
We love taking our dogs here. The facility os clean, well staffed and they care about your pet. The dogs are always clean, happy and look like they had a great time when we pick them up. It would be great if they posted some pics of the kenneled dogs playing on their Facebook page. It would the dog parents relax more!
We've brought two different dogs here. Their kenneling options are wonderful, letting you set up an experience as interactive, playful, etc. - or not - as suits your dog. Their trainer gives great feedback and their setup was very wonderful for trying to work through the separation anxiety of my hyper reactive dog ... And now that dog is a happy pup to walk away from me and go okay with other dogs at their daycare. Absolutely recommend trying the variety of services they offer here!
Professionalism is a problem. They Yell at their employees and are extremely disrespectful too them. If they treat the employees this way, I can only imagine how they'd treat the pets there. I'll never leave my dogs there. The groomer also is bad.
Bardie is an amazing groomer. We've been taking our little Penny there for almost 5 years. Wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Highly recommend.
This was our fur baby's first time here. Our baby is a very large Rottweiler. So from the moment that I placed the 1st call to book the stay to when we picked our baby up has been the BEST experience ever so far. I absolutely love the ladies here and our baby was not stressed out when he came home. He loves the ladies here and enjoyed the cuddle times he got with them. We will continue to use Lucky Stars and will HIGHLY recommend them. Thank you ladies so much. See you in October.
Lucky Stars continues to exceed our expectations with each visit. They leave us feeling as though our dog Kingston is their most valued customer even though we know this is just the consistent service that they pride themselves on delivering. Kudos to the Lucky Star Team for being such superstars!
I use to take my dog to the vet for grooming, but they recently stopped grooming so I brought my dog to Lucky Stars. I am SO happy with the results. Not only that but when I picked up my dog she was so calm and at ease! After grooming appointments at the vet she would always come out with her tail tucked and couldn't get to the car fast enough. So I was shocked when she came out with her tail wagging. I will definitely be using Lucky Stars from now on! Editing to add: my long hair dog who went to Lucky Stars for grooming passed away from old age. In the last year I got a puppy, and started taking him to Lucky Star for doggie daycare when I have longer days at work. He LOVES it! As soon as we pull in the driveway he knows he's at daycare amd he starts jumping around! When I pick him up at 5pm he is exhausted! He eats dinner, goes potty, and he is out for the whole night. It's a blessing after a long day at work!
We boarded our 3 dogs at Lucky Stars and could not be happier. Our dogs came back clean, happy and very content. The staff could not be anymore nicer or caring. Thank you.
My cat just had his second appointment with Katie at Summer Meadows Pet Spa! Katie is such a skilled groomer who is passionate about her work. She is super friendly and gentle with my cat. My cat has long fur with curls, and he has skin allergies that make him a somewhat complicated grooming client, but Katie always rises to the occasion and helps my cat feel fresh as a daisy! The pet spa place is an intimate and homey space that is so clean yet warm and welcoming. Katie only takes one pet at a time to ensure pet comfort and privacy as well. I highly recommend Summer Meadows Pet Spa!
Katie has been our go-to groomer since we moved to the area during the pandemic, and we couldn't be happier with her work! She consistently does an outstanding job grooming our dog, Taco, making him look extra handsome every time. Katie's skill, attention to detail, and genuine love for what she does truly set her apart. We trust her completely, and Taco adores her—she’s become like family to us. Even if we move, we’ll still bring Taco to Katie. She’s just that good! I highly recommend Katie to anyone looking for a groomer who truly cares about your pet.
Katie is amazing! I’ve been taking my Persian cat to her for over a year now and I’m so happy I found her. She is a certified feline master groomer so I know he’s in good hands when I drop him off. He always looks so handsome and smells fantastic when I pick him up. The spa is very clean and so inviting! You can tell Katie loves animals and takes very good care of them. If you’re looking for a groomer, this is the one!
Katie is The Very Best Groomer you will find! We took our cat, Bella, to be groomed, and Katie was kind, compassionate, and ultra fast despite our very matted Bella girl. She provided us with tips as well to keep our cat from becoming so matted again. Bella came home smelling so good and we could tell she is a happy little kitty cat after her experience. I will most definitely continue to return to this wonderful master groomer for her excellent service and kind heart. Thank you so very much, Katie! 😻
I found Katie after getting tired of groomers who rushed through the job or did a poor job on my Maltese, Cinderella. Once we found Katie, we were absolutely thrilled. She takes the time to listen to your needs, understand your pet, and genuinely connect with you as an owner. I'm extremely particular about Cinderella because she's like my child, and Katie truly gets that. Katie's one-on-one grooming approach means your pet is never in a crate, which is fantastic for Cinderella, who usually has anxiety about getting groomed. With Katie, Cinderella is always calm and comfortable. Katie even provides freeze-dried, preservative-free, and additive-free treats made from beef liver or fish, which Cinderella loves. Katie's kindness and love towards Cinderella are evident in every visit. We are so happy to have found our forever groomer. Thank you, Katie, for everything you do! We love you!
Katie is an absolute rockstar! Her spa is so cozy, clean, and calm. I love that she is cage free, so my mainecoon kitty is the only one in the shop during his appointment. My boy looked so awesome and fluffy when I came to pick him up. 4 days later and his fur still looks amazing and he still smells great! 😁 10/10, I would 100% recommend Katie, owner of Summer Meadows Pet Spa to anyone and everyone! With being a small locally owned business, At summer meadows pet spa, your pet isn't just another number, and with my husband being a business owner himself, we can really appreciate that 💚 thanks Katie! 😁
Katie does an amazing job with my 8 year old Mini-Goldendoodle and 9 month old Maltipoo. She pampers them in her beautiful luxury spa and leaves them looking and smelling fresh and beautiful. I love seeing the before and after photos on her Facebook page. Both of my dogs tend to be nervous but always leave the spa calm because Katie is great with them and they are the only pets at the spa during their appointment. Katie is extremely talented, kind, reliable, and trustworthy. Without a question, she is my first choice in groomers. I highly recommend her services!
Katie is a kind, professional, detail oriented pet groomer who clearly puts a lot of passion into her profession. Not only does she invest into her craft with annual continuing education, ongoing Pet CPR and First Aid and Feline Master Groomer certifications, but she maintains a gorgeous, clean, spa like experience. Your cat or dog will love their private, 1 on 1 grooming session with Katie!
By far the BEST groomer around! Katie is not only super talented and professional but she takes pride in her work. Summer Meadows Pet Spa is always super squeaky clean and provides fur babies with a safe and quiet atmosphere while they are in her care. Katie goes above and beyond while grooming my long hair kitty each and every time. The amount of compassion she has for pets is obvious and comforting 🥰 I can’t say enough good things about Katie & her business. HIGHLY RECOMMEND using her as your groomer!
We have been going to a Summer Meadows Pet Spa for the last few years and cannot recommend it enough! The owner is great with communication and more importantly our pet. Our dog had a bad experience with getting his nails cut at a different groomer, but loves going here and even perks up when we ask if he's ready to go see Katie! She is efficient and cage free which we love. Additionally, if she notices any health concerns/issues when grooming she communicates this in case you aren't aware or need to discuss with a vet.
My dog stayed there for a weekend and they took great care of her. My dog loved it. The staff was friendly and caring. This will be my go to boarding place from now on.
We have two 15-20 lb dogs and they were able to share an XL run. They had a great time! The pup-date video that Jackie sent was great and greatly appreciated! They loved running around the yard! They also enjoyed singing with all of their new friends for 4 days! I would definitely recommend this Resort for your furry friends!
Our dog Scooter loves staying Debendale. We know he is always taken good care of.
Ms. Jackie and her staff are the best. My puppy has been a client since he was 6 months. He's always excited to see her and has a great time ❤. I would definitely recommend Debendale to anyone.
After my vet stopped boarding, they recommended Waggin' Around as a potential boarder. We are so glad we chose them! I could tell immediately my dog was comfortable there. He was so happy when we picked him up and properly worn out! We will be back!!
We have been boarding our bassets and currently our beagle at Debendale for a number of years. Jackie and staff are amazing.
Jackie and her team are outstanding. They know their customers well (the people type and the dog type!) and Jackie is amazing about responding to last-minute texts and being flexible. The vibe at the Debendale is comfortable, laid-back, family-like...it doesn't feel clinical or frantic. My dog (pug) loves the whole team and is all tail-wags when he enters the door. We plan to be lifers with the Debendale, they are the best in the business. A great place for your furry friend.
This doggie hotel is the best ever. Jackie and her staff are caring and responsive to my dog's needs. My dog is huge, full of energy and considered a bully breed. While friendly as all get out, she is stubborn and certainly not a push button dog. She looks forward to going to Debendale - always chomping at the bit to see her friends again. She comes home just as happy as she left. The place is clean and managed well. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves their dog!
We can't say enough wonderful things about Debendale! Our dog, Bailey, had horrible separation anxiety, so boarding and grooming were definitely not his favorite activities, but the staff made every effort to make sure he felt comfortable and safe during his visits, especially Jackie. She went above and beyond to communicate with us and alleviate his stress. She would call us to provide updates when necessary, and even drove to our vet's office to pick up his prescription while we were out of town. The staff loved him and gave him lots of attention, knowing it meant a lot to him as well as us. Unfortunately, our Bailey crossed over Rainbow Bridge this week, but we are so thankful that we had Debendale to help provide wonderful care when we needed them. We don't know when we will get another fur baby, but when we do, we will return to Debendale and begin our journey with our new friend. Thank you!
Our geriatric dog was so well taken care of by Jackie and her staff. It’s so reassuring to be able to talk directly to the person caring for our pet. We were able to get a full personal report and we were even sent pictures of our girl enjoying herself! Our dog was not exhausted when returning home which indicates to me that she was not stressed out during her visit. We already booked another stay for next month! Highly recommend.
I love this place. It is run with such efficiency. I am so happy they requested vaccination records for my dog and every other dog being there. It just shows they are watching out for their customers. They have a wonderful and caring staff who watch over thev dogs while they are there. Love that when they return the dog, you get a report of how your pet did at day care.
This place seemed really great at the beginning, but things have started to take a turn for the worse. This place mistreats their employees, and they are also hiring people that are not qualified in any way to work with dogs. Then, they give little to no training even though these people don’t understand dogs. Be very careful sending your dogs here, they WILL 100% be handled by people that have no idea what they’re doing. Your dogs are not safe here. I hope things can get better but with how things look currently, hopes are not high.
I have always taken my dogs on vacation with me... however one of my rescues is a little too anxious and unpredictable. So after explaining Loki's issues they really allowed me to feel at peace with boarding him with them. They handled him perfectly... all women as that was an ask... and they showed no fear or anxiety... and he walked in and was greeted with a symphony of ladies voices so sweet and loving and welcoming. Gave me the sense that he was going to be OK.
After searching far and wide for a good, clean, and reputable place for boarding services for my cat, I came across this place. I tried looking for places in the immediate area where I live but kept coming up with zero results. I'm a first-time cat mom and didn't want to leave her just anywhere. RPR&S is a very nice place, and the booking process was easy. Very nice and peaceful location as well, and it seems like dogs have a ball out here, too. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The process of checking in and checking out was seamless. I think I will have to keep this place in mind for future boarding needs.
A bath and nail clip for our Corgi. Her coat is beautifully soft. They pampered her very well.
The resort treats my dog with the utmost care. They are friendly and efficient. My dog gets pampered when he is boarded and groomed. He comes home happy, sweet-smelling, and handsome. I highly recommend thus fine establishment.
RBK is an awesome place! My golden retriever Jameson (13 months) comes here almost 2 x a week and enjoys his day playing with his new friends. Jameson spent his first overnight stay and enjoyed it! High 5 PAW!
Update: this place has become for the super rich. It is completely unaffordable. The staff nit pick over everything. They want you to bag your dog's food into individual bags. Everything is an upcharge. I paid $1,200 for a long trip, and they would NOT even trim her 2 du claws for free. What a scam! Folks, do yourselves a favor and hire a friend to house sit and watch your dog at 1/10 the cost. This place alleviated my fears of leaving my baby girl with anyone other than myself. They listened to my dog's needs and took measures to ensure her comfort and well being. For instance, my dog freaks out with other dogs. So the staff placed my dog at an end unit and put up a curtain so she could not see other dogs. Wow. Now that is 5 star service and shows the staff truly cares. I will definitely use this place again.
I took my fur babies there for the resort stay this past weekend. They came back happy and healthy and only had great feedback of the staff and their accommodations. I would recommend RBK for boarding anytime. Great clean and friendly facility! In Paws we Trust !
The staff are very thoughtful about my fur babies stay. I have 2 large dogs who can be anxious around new people but they always wag their tales happy to visit this place. They have an enviable lodge with scenic acres for your dog to romp. I’ve been booking them for many years and not once have I had a complaint. I never have to wait long to check in or check out. This place is top tier. I just hope not too many people come running leaving me with no place to book!
Our dog came back from his 2 night stay and seemed very stressed. It took him a few weeks to return to his normal self and to gain his bark back. We never heard anything from them of any issues with him possibly having a hard time. We would’ve come home and picked him up if we knew. When we dropped him off and picked him up the place seemed pretty unprofessionally run. A disoriented person came out for drop off, then a 30 something y/o man that we had never met, who was rude gave us our dog back. It’s obviously a family/loosely run dog kennel. Now a month later we got a rambling call from a woman at Caves valley pet lodge asking for money, they said we didn’t pay for something we 100% paid for + a nice tip and got a receipt. Avoid this place at all cost
We love Caves Valley Pet Lodge. Janice was great with my dogs. She made them feel welcomed as if they were at home. The groomer is also amazing. She took her time to ensure the grooming was done right! The dogs were cleaned very well, and smelled fresh 😊 …
Nothing but good things to say about Caves Valley Pet Lodge and their proprietor Janice. It's a family business, they limit the number of dogs they take, and they don't charge you fees to get your pet out of solitary confinement like big box kennels. I also appreciated them because they worked with when I needed to pick up my dog unexpectedly (Christmas Day, no less), because they provided nutrition advice to help my dog put on weight, that they board their own dogs with their clients, and that they have acres for the dogs to play in. My dog Sam loved it and we'll be back next time we're in Baltimore.
Thank you for watching my special boy! He is an older dog at 13 and I had some concerns, but Janice and everyone there made him feel so comfortable and loved! Do not hesitate to bring your special guy or gal. They will be treated to a wonderful stay!
I have had great experiences taking our 9 year old golden doodle to Janice and Tyler at Long Last Kennel in Owings Mills. I like that Janice is able to take reservations by text and keeps things simple. Sunny always seems to be happy when she goes in and is always healthy and happy when she leaves. I like that Janice is a working owner and that she personally takes care of much of the operation. The pricing is also on the lower side of what kennels in the area are charging. I highly recommend Long Last Kennel. Good service and good value.
Caves Valley is a great Kennel. My 4 year Cocker named Cal loves going there to see his friends. The staff is very nice and considerate. Making a reservation is relative easy by e-mail. They now have a groomer who comes there who had made Cal look very handsome.
I am so glad we found Long Last Kennels! We have been very cautious about boarding our sweet girl because Saluki’s have very unique temperaments and needs. When I saw that there were multiple Salukis I was shocked! Finally she has friends she can run and play with that can keep up with her (mostly - ha!) Janice (the NEW owner) is awesome and it truly feels like we’ve found a second home for our girl. Our pup loves dropping by for daycare and we never have to worry when we have to travel without her. It brings us tremendous peace of mind knowing they take care of our girl as if she were their own. When we pick her up, she is excited and exhausted! She is well cared for while she’s there and it shows. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for boarding or daycare or both, like us!
Let me start by saying the owner Chris genuinely cares for and loves dogs. She got teary eyed telling me about her multiple hip surgeries which prevent her from being active with her dogs. Chris is an expert on dogs and I don't take that away from her. Her front customer entrance is cute by the way. But with that being said, there are a few things you should know: If you are not familiar with the Owings Mills area, Chris's facility is in the rural part of Owings Mills. Be prepared for a drive. Chris's personality can take some getting used to. At times she can come off as a bit authoritative and her tone can be a bit snappy. I don't think she means any harm, but that's the way she talks and runs her business. Chris has regular clientele she has been doing business with for years. If you are a newcomer do not expect newcomer treatment. If you would like to make a reservation for your dogs for lets say Christmas, have a Plan B. Chris's long time clients have seniority. In other words, you will be put on a "waiting list" because they receive preferential treatment for the holidays. Understand you are on Chris's schedule and not the other way around. Chris recommends a temperament visit. I scheduled a free trial date with Chris, arrangements were made contingent on weather, and then I was told after reaching out again the day prior it was a no go because she was busy. I reached out again and was told to bring them another date which was not convenient for me. Chris is VERY concerned about how your pet will acclimate to her kennel. I believe you, the owner are also being "OBSERVED" as well. Once my small pets were brought in for a trial, I was told one of the pets would be an issue because she was shy and nervous. I get that Chris doesn't do leashes and was concerned that the pet may run off in the yard if left in her care, but considering it was within the first 25 minutes, MAYBE it was a bit overwhelming for the dog? Chris was informed on her extensive intake form this one pet needed reassurance when experiencing new places, but is comfortable once she warms up PRIOR to the visit. Chris had me step inside to allow the dogs to roam in my absence. An owner arrived to pick up his giant dog, the size of a linebacker, and apparently, one of my dogs saw it and ran and hid under something and would not come out. So, this was the catalyst for her telling me I should return another day and hinted that perhaps this would not be a good fit for her. Interestingly, she's telling me about the same owner's big dog that upon first visit refused to enter her facility. They had to take the dog in another route. I wonder if all this rhetoric about uneasiness applied to this dog? What I was not impressed with was one of the small dog yards directly outside of the client entrance. It was dirty which was the first turn off and I saw some dried up dog poop near one of the raggedy gates, a dead long warm on another side of the area, and a lot of moss development in the area. The dog "runs" did not appear to be dirty, but my first impression of the back yard was not good. When I asked if I could tour the facility she acted like it was a problem. "It's very messy right now...I guess...if you want to..." was the response I received. Not "Sure, we would love you to see where your dogs will be quartered!" When I told Chris I did not want the dogs to have treats during their stay you would have thought I said to euthanize them. Chris had a problem with that. Never mind that one of the dogs is on a diet or has a sensitive gut. Then, she suggested they go in separate runs because she was concerned that one dog would eat the other dog's food, despite the fact I never had an issue with this previously. In all my years of pet boarding with different places, I have never been so annoyed or bothered by the management/owner. Everything happens for a reason because I found another boarding place that suited my needs and gave zero problems.
My little guy has a tumor on his leg and we wanted a small business to get him groomed. When I called I could tell the owner was thoughtful in her concern for my dogs wellbeing. His grooming was quick about an hour and he looked very cute! Will use their services again.
Janice and her team have been providing wonderful care for our Scottie and Sealyham terriers many times over the past two years. They are always very excited to go to Caves Valley Pet Lodge. It is truly like going to doggie camp for them! They are always in great condition and spirits when we pick them up. It is very comforting to know they have a safe caring place to stay when we have to go out of town for an extended time.
I signed my 5 month old Mini American Shep mix up for daycare and was very promptly contacted via email to schedule an evaluation day. My pup spent the day at We’ve Gone To the Dogs for her evaluation and I truly could not be more pleased. The staff were not only professional, but extremely kind and welcoming. I can tell the facility is safe and takes measures to make sure everything is organized well. My puppy came home calm and confident and they even sent her back with a goody-bag with treats, a new toy, and a personalized message telling me how she did. Great staff, safe and organized facility with plenty of room to play, and a happy dog. Couldn’t ask for more!
We've gone to the dogs is absolutely amazing , the staff are the most wonderful people . My pup loves coming here and they love her so much . She is so excited to come she jumps out of the car and takes off running the minute I open the door . They are always kind and take such good care of her . I always feel she is safe and loved while here . I love that they post pictures and I can see her having fun during the day . They always update me on how she did and all the fun she had that day when I pick her up . I highly recommend you and your pup will love them 💕
If we even say "Doggy daycare??" to our dog, she runs to the leash and looks at us, and then the leash, and then us, and then the door, and then back to the leash. When we drop her off, she is itching to get out of the car and can't wait to get inside. Photos posted by the caretakers always show just how great of a time she's having. And this happens every single time. It's never easy to be away from our favorite little lady but easier when we know she's living her best life with new and old friends. I can't recommend We've Gone to the Dogs enough.
Ive been using this place for almost two years and EVERY time I drop my boys off here they are soooo excited to go. They run right in the gate and ignore more. I know my pups are very well taken care of because of that reaction. That was not their reaction at other facilities. I also saw a pictures posted on their Facebook page once showed the staff kisses one of my dogs heads, and he hates that and only allows those he trusts to do so. Absolutely recommend!
We were visiting Westminster and needed a last minute doggie day Care. They accommodated us and the dogs had a great time. Thank you for exceptional customer service and providing a great experience for our dogs. Highly recommend this place your dogs will love it
Our dog loves WGTTD! We have boarded and done doggie daycare and each time she comes back happy and tired. We appreciate that she gets cleaned up after messy days of playing. They make the effort to post pictures on their Facebook throughout the day so you can see your pup having fun. We highly recommend!
This place is wonderful! My dog is always happy and tired after a day of playing with all of his friends. I love that he is outside and the I can tell that all of the staff really love working with the dogs. Thanks for taking such good care of my pup!
My dog always has such a great time at daycare at WGTTD. I also know that he's in good hands when I board him as I travel a lot for work. The staff are always as happy to see my dog as he is to see them. Great place to take your dog and their rates are much more affordable than other outdoor boarding facilities in the area especially since there are no extra charges for food or bathing them if they're dirty.
My dogs are happy here! When I bring them home, they are warn out which having 2 herding dogs is hard to do. So thankful they get to play and interact with other dogs when we are away.
Edit: After I posted this review the manager, Fran found it necessary to note on the final invoice. I find this petty and unprofessional and further reason to not send my dog back. Our dog was a weekly overnight visitor for 3 years. Recently all the staff that loved him quit. The care then went dramatically downhill. Came home with mangled nails after someone who clearly had no clue what they were doing trimmed them. One bleeding all over. Constantly has to pee as soon as he comes out. So bad that he barely can hold it. We were loyal and faithful customers for three years. I would never send my dog here now. Not only that the reason the staff quit was due to non payment of time worked.
