We feel like we’ve won the pet and house sitter lotto with Scott. Most importantly, he’s taken great care of our much loved little dog, giving him a lot of care, affection and attention. He paid close attention when Tingsha began scratching (allergy to an insect bite) which needed vet care, with great communication with us. He even took Tingsha to his agility school class each week (great fun had by all) and to get a groom. We’ve come home to a contented and very happy dog. The house is spotless, cleaner than we left it, with fresh flowers and the bed all made up. Perfect! We had regular contact with Scott all through our five week trip and being “fellow travellers” (in all senses) enjoyed sharing lots of local travel tips and experiences as we each visited new parts of the world. We were happy to lend Scott our car and he’s been great with it, super responsible. Scott is a really terrific guy and a fabulous journalist and story teller (you must listen to his podcast about his travels, it’s a cracker). In sharing our home and trusting our beloved dog with him, we feel like we’ve made a new friend along the way. We recommend Scott without any hesitation and thank him for a wonderful experience, we’d love him to come back and see us, anytime. Thanks a bunch!

Kate was an absolute dream and was the best pet sitter I could have possibly asked for! Kate was extremely trustworthy, communicative, and reliable, and provided frequent updates while I was away. She left my apartment spotlessly clean and even took the initiative to fix my wobbly towel bar. Finally, Kate took excellent care of my cat Daisy and I came home to a happy and content cat! Kate was amazing all around and I would be thrilled to have her sit for me again at any time. Thanks for everything!

This was our first time using a pet or house sitter and the bar set by Leslie is very high! She is warm, friendly, communicative, responsible and very clean. Upon arriving, she immediately bonded with our rat terrier, Oreo, by bringing him a new frisbee (his favorite toy/activity) and throwing it for him in our backyard. Leslie has a sweet and mellow dog, Benny, who is now Oreo's new buddy! She kept my husband and I updated via texts/pictures of their daily activities, our house, and was proactive in asking questions before she left. She even dropped our dog off at the kennel for one night at the end of our trip since our flight was too late for us to get home for him! Our home was clean and had fresh flowers from our garden that she put in vases for us! Such a simple and nice touch! We have asked Leslie to come back to sit for us again for 2 weeks in August. I'd highly recommend her to take care of your pet(s) and home too!

We were lucky to have Andrea back for another sit with our elderly dog and feral cat. She has been wonderful both in the past and on this last sit for a month! We trust her implicitly and are always at ease that our pets will have the most kind and careful attention. She is excellent with videos and communication and very clean and tidy. Again we feel lucky to have found her, and feel she would be a great sitter for any pets!

Kyle was a great house sitter and pet sitter for us. We had a good dialogue prior to him sitting for us, and we also did a short walkthrough the week before. Kyle formed a great bond with our dog Charlie and also took good care of our rabbit Poppy. A couple of minor issues came up with systems in our home due to an unexpected power outage, and Kyle was quick to connect with us and then was able to work 1:1 with the service providers to resolve the issues. We look forward to working with Kyle again.

Neil and Anne have just sat for us for a second time, for a week. They are outstanding sitters in every way. Always punctual with communication and arrival. They both have responsible jobs and this is evident as they are both very organised. They care very much about the animals they look after. We were regularly sent updates, pictures and video clips of them, which is great to see when you are away. When we came home we were greeted by happy pets and an immaculately tidy house. We cannot recommend Neil and Anne enough. As far as we are concerned they are perfect housesitters! …...Hopefully they will come back and sit again soon!

Paulina took excellent care of my pets and plants on 2 different occasions. My pets were happy when I came home, and they were well taken care of. It makes it easier to leave my pets when I know they will be content at home, and I will continue to have Paulina watch them on future trips.
We’ve hired Paulina twice now and are extremely satisfied with her service. Our dog can be a bit skittish with new people but Paulina was able to win her over pretty quickly. We definitely plan on using her services for additional trips. She’ll be our go-to sitter from now on!

Amazing. Friendly. Fast. Knowledgeable. Just what a dog mom needs! She was so lovley! She came to my house for toe nail trims with very reasonable rates for 3 fur kids when compared to my vets office. Myfur babies are all small. My kiddos did better than I exepected. I thought at home they would still put up a little fight, they were so good, I could not believe it! I held my doggies while standing, and she clipped fast on their toes. No quiks cut, which is hard for me to avoid with black toe nails. My oldest was too grumpy and didn't want his front paws done, got his back ones instead. I think we can figure out a muzzle or holder of some kind for him.He is old, so I didn't want to force him if he is upset by it. He has gotten grumpy in his old age but I still love him, he would be grumpy with anyone. I hate to do toe trims because my dogs will nip on me and generally throw a fit, for others doing their toes they are just too good! Having someone come to the house fits my long work from home hours. I appreciate this option and these rates!
Found at out 4 days before I took a trip that she doubled her rates from the initial quote. Rather than say it's on her she made a math error she bumped her fee for a two week pet sitting from $275 to $490. Its the down payment or the deposit she said. Well if it's a down payment at 50% that should be 1/2 of the original quote. But rather than try to work it out she stood by the upwardly adjusted rate. Ethics matter and in this case she just says I made a math mistake. She either knows her business or doesn't. Well princess you've lost this customer for good and I'll work to insure others know the ethics involved. This is the same as quoting the price of a couch at $500 and asking for 50% down but adding 50% to the price.Instead of $250 down it's now a total price of $750. Must be the new math!!

Shannon and Gem City Pet Care were terrific! We have two cats, one dog, everyone was well and healthy when we got back. She walked the dog daily, played with her in the yard, and did cuddle time. Cats hid for a certain amount of the 5 days we were gone, but they seemed unperturbed and ate regularly, etc. Shannon sent a report each visit, 3 each day, and photos. I hadn't expected to enjoy that as much as we did while traveling. I would highly recommend Shannon for pet sitting services. Very professional and dedicated. P.S. Shannon mentioned our cat litter scoop had broken, not surprising since it was a cheap one. But Shannon ordered us a new one and it came today. So, truly responsible and dedicated! ❤️🧡
