Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

We feel like we’ve won the pet and house sitter lotto with Scott. Most importantly, he’s taken great care of our much loved little dog, giving him a lot of care, affection and attention. He paid close attention when Tingsha began scratching (allergy to an insect bite) which needed vet care, with great communication with us. He even took Tingsha to his agility school class each week (great fun had by all) and to get a groom. We’ve come home to a contented and very happy dog. The house is spotless, cleaner than we left it, with fresh flowers and the bed all made up. Perfect! We had regular contact with Scott all through our five week trip and being “fellow travellers” (in all senses) enjoyed sharing lots of local travel tips and experiences as we each visited new parts of the world. We were happy to lend Scott our car and he’s been great with it, super responsible. Scott is a really terrific guy and a fabulous journalist and story teller (you must listen to his podcast about his travels, it’s a cracker). In sharing our home and trusting our beloved dog with him, we feel like we’ve made a new friend along the way. We recommend Scott without any hesitation and thank him for a wonderful experience, we’d love him to come back and see us, anytime. Thanks a bunch!
Kelly was flawless, she was a fantastic pet sitter and house sitter. She was over communicating with pictures and updates. We were at total peace knowing Kelly was overseeing Leo and Bella. Kelly connected with our dogs perfectly. We loved how Kelly daily took our dogs for walks and even an extended hikes. She has our full and complete recommendation.
Kate was an excellent house sitter and pet sitter. She was thoughtful, sensitive, and attuned to our cats and the particulars of our house. It was really easy to communicate with her and she was responsible and conscientious about everything. When we came back our cats seemed unfazed by our return which was a great sign and it was obvious that she spent lots of time with them and gave them lots of love. The house was spotless on our return and she even alerted us to a health matter in one of our cats. She sent lots of cute updates and was easy going when we messed up a logistical detail on our end. Just a delightful person all around. I'd love to have her come again and if you have a chance to have her housesit, jump on it. She is a gem.
Ce was an amazing house sitter for our best bud Atlas. She not only took amazing care of our needy pup, she took great care of the home as well. I honestly think she left it cleaner than I left it for her! We certainly hope she is around the next time our best friend needs a friend. If you're looking for a responsible caregiver for your pets and home - look no further!
Laura is incredible! For starters, she is a clear and considerate communicator who is reliable and trustworthy while setting up details for a sit in advance. From there... where do we start?! Laura (and her sister Stephanie, for a few days) took care of our cat & dog for a week-long sit. We were immediately at ease with both of them, and it was clear that they were excited to meet our pets and love them, and relaxed and comfortable in this role. They asked informed and curious questions about our pets, routines, and the surrounding area to set up a successful sit. When we departed, our dog hardly seemed to notice, because she was getting to know her new people! The snuggle-fest and hiking adventures that took place while we were gone resulted in happy pets who were calm and content. We received daily photos, which were heart warming, and assured us that dog hugs and cat exercise were taking place. Our dog is very affectionate, and Laura made sure that she received plenty of love while we were gone. Upon return, our home was spotless - tidy and clean (possibly cleaner than when we left, and we tried really hard!) We are games people, and Laura left us some of her favorite games to play (yay), and gifts for our pets, which were so fun to open when we got home. Everything was so thoughtful and kind. Laura is absolutely one of the top sitters we've ever had, and we are so grateful for her care. She went above and beyond basic home/pet care, and her compassion shines through in all of her communications and actions. She (and Stephanie) are welcome anytime, and we (Zora and Morris especially) hope they will come stay again!
Melissa did an AWESOME job with our 4 pets! Her personal style and communication via text, video, and pics were stellar and super comforting while we were out of town for 2 weeks. She showed up before the sit to go over instructions for the pet care and was even here when we returned (before she left for her next engagement). You would never know this was her first TH sit. She quickly earned our trust, asked for clarification when needed, and overall is just a GREAT PERSON!! Her kindness showed through in the care of each and every one of our furry babies. She will be a great sitter for others and is looking to travel across and see more of the US while remote working. We have adopted her into our family and she is welcome in our home anytime. Our whole family hopes to see her again-either for a visit and/or for a sit :) Thank you, Thank you, Melissa!!!
I could not have asked for a better first time sitter experience! Terry & Vinnie were absolutely wonderful people. They took stellar care of my beloved pets and my home. Their communication with me was enough that I felt perfectly at ease during my time away and in turn, they were super responsive if I contacted them. My pets were relaxed and happy when I returned!
Elaine was a welcomed sitter for Cyrus and Purrelli. I returned from holiday to find a very content relaxed dog and a happy fat cat. Purrelli doesn’t eat when he is stressed so seeing a little meat on him let me know he was content and happy :) My condo was left clean and in order, all communications were smooth and there was zero issues. Thx for the great pet care Elaine.
Laura is hands down the best sitter that we have ever had care for our pets and house! Having her stay made our trip away so care free and added a super fun layer of getting her daily (morning and night!) updates with photos and videos, some were hilarious I love Laura’s sense of humor! We were gone 8 days and when’s we arrived home our house was cleaner than when we left, mail on the counter, yard was picked up, it was beyond what we would expect. This made our first day back so easy. Oh’ and our pets were so relaxed and happy we knew they were loved and taken care of while we were away. Laura knew that we were coming home late and she even had bought a yummy quiche, rolls, fruit and juice so that we had breakfast in the morning! Laura is responsive, a great communicator, I could go on but simply put she is welcome at our house anytime. Simply the best!! Thank you tons Laura!!
Amazing experience! Five stars all the way... Nikki was kind enough to watch our two cats Thomas and Toby while were away on our honeymoon. From the very beginning she made us feel comfortable with clear communication and quick replies. Since she was local in Atlanta we got to meet her ahead of time and hand off keys before we left. While we were away she sent pictures of our little buds having fun and being themselves, so we always knew they were ok. She always showed up exactly when she said she would from pickup to dropoff and it was so incredible to know they were in good hands, and we never had to worry. They love being around people so for her to have been able to stay with them and love on them regularly we came home and could immediately tell both Thomas and Toby felt great as they were completely comfortable. Much much different than when we leave even for a few days and have a pet sitter stop by and feed them. She asked all the necessary questions in advance, so she didn't have to email or ask anything while we were away. She even took the time to make sure everything was neat and tidy, prepped the sheets to be changed, and was unbelievably sweet to get us a wedding gift we both love. Nikki we can't thank you enough for taking care of our cats, and we would only be so lucky if you stuck around town! :)

MD Pups is absolutely the best pet grooming service I ever had! Crystal did an amazing job, especially on my puppy , Bella who doesn’t sit still for anything! She also gave me a lot of great advice for pet care. Definitely will be using their service from now on.!!!
I used their services to train my dogs to walk without pulling excessively, and the results have been fantastic! I can now walk my dogs without any issues. The training was done by E, who is absolutely wonderful! Additionally, I have them take my dogs on pack walks once a week, which has been an excellent service as well!
AAAAAAMAZING job with our 4 fur babies. They look and smell great. Thank you Crystal and MD Pup Scouts for your professionalism and customer service. We will definitely be booking again.
Mud had a BIG week last week with MD Pup Scouts! He had his very first pack walk AND his first mobile grooming session! Both services were easy to book, the team communicated with me about arrival times, and they came to my house! This is such a great service for busy moms like me with young kids at home. This summer is going to be amazing with the help of the Pup Scouts! Thank you!!
We have had a wonderful experience with both the pack walks and individual private training. “E” is an incredible trainer and a lovely person! We needed to address some unwanted behaviors in our young husky/retriever mix and she worked with all of us to get us into a much better place. Our dog is a happy, well-behaved member of our pack now! E helped us to better understand the root of our puppy’s unwanted behaviors and how to effectively shift them. We still have weekly pack walks and our dog is always so excited to meet up with E or any of the walkers who come to help him board the bus for his adventures!
We adopted a four year old rescue that had never been on a leash. E from MD Pup Scouts did such an incredible job working with Gracie (dog) and us. We could see Gracie’s confidence soar after each session and Gracie loves going on walks now. Highly recommend MD Pup Scouts- the best investment we could have made for our new dog.
We engaged with PupScouts when our puppy was a little too young and immature for the pack walks. The team recommended we work with E, one of their trainers, for some 1:1 training to help her get ready to join the pack. I cannot recommend E highly enough for her incredible work with our young puppy. From the very first meeting, it was clear that E is a natural with dogs. Our puppy was instantly charmed by her warm demeanor and engaging approach, which made the training process enjoyable for both our furry friend and us. E’s techniques were not only easy to implement but also had almost immediate results. She has a unique ability to connect with dogs and understand their needs, and it showed in how quickly our puppy adapted to her guidance. E didn't just train our dog; she also took the time to train us, equipping us with the knowledge and skills to continue fostering good behavior at home. Thanks to E's expertise and dedication, our puppy is now happily participating in pack walks every week. It’s a joy to see her thriving and socializing with other dogs, and we have E to thank for this wonderful transformation. If you're looking for someone who truly understands dogs and can make a real difference, E is the one to call. We are so grateful for her help and support!
Before (very messy and overdue for a grim when we adopted her) and after pics (couple she be any cuter?). Happy doodle enjoyed herself - and we are thrilled.
Our pup Whiskey Maple Donut absolutely adores his walker Dominic and his walks with his fellow scouts. I had the privilege of seeing him get picked up last week and I've never seen him so excited to go anywhere but on that bus! Dominic always takes tons of photos and leaves the sweetest report cards each week. It makes my heart happy to know he's in such good hands each week!
From start to finish and from nose to tail this was a wonderful experience! Clear communication, friendly groomer, thorough cleaning. Our Daisy came away happy and smelling berry good! 🐕🧼🫐 …
My dog Cooper has been going to Playful Pack for over a year now. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the exceedingly friendly and professional staff. My dog always came home happy and healthy from his many days at this doggie daycare. We recently had to move to a new area and will so miss Playful Pack!
My dog loves this place. As soon as we turn down Research Drive she can barely contain her excitement. She is always greeted by name when she enters and it seems like the staff is genuinely glad to see her. I have used their grooming and bathing services and they do an excellent job. Playful pack has all kinds of activities for the dogs from agility tunnels to story reading. They have play areas both indoors and outdoors and the best part is my very active dog comes home exhausted.
Went here for a couple years. Honestly, one of my dogs got kicked out of daycare recently so we haven’t been in about a month. She plays too rough, which is totally understandable. But my dogs absolutely loved this place. They treated my dogs well. Anytime we’d walk through the door the employees would greet them by name. Everyone was always so nice! My girls favorites were Michael & McKaila. Even if we aren’t allowed back for daycare, I’m still giving them a 10 outta 10 recommend! The girls sure will miss everyone though.
Our dog is almost 8, and has always had to be put under anesthesia to get shaved by the vet because he is reactive to trimmers. Our vet recommended Playful Pack. Today, our dog was able to come home for the first time with a REAL haircut because of the wonderful care and patience from the Playful Pack groomers. I am so happy he is finally able to get real haircuts (plus, he came home SO soft!!). A huge thank you to the grooming team who took care of our most precious family member.
Friendly staff who is both knowledgeable and good with dogs. I can tell they care about your pet because they remember their names. Was able to get my pups in for a groom with relatively no issues. Moderately priced which is a bonus.
We are thrilled to have found this place! My boxer, Stana, is always so excited every time we come here. She literally starts whining nonstop to be let out of the vehicle to go inside Playful Pack, as soon as we turn on the road. I love the open play concept without kenneling the dogs throughout the day. That always bothered me at other places. Whenever I took my dog to other doggy daycare/play centers, it seemed my dog was always kenneled during the random times I picked her up. If I wanted my dog kenneled, I would just leave her at my house, not pay for her to be somewhere where she's supposed to be out of the kennel and playing. We have been going here for over a year now and willingly drive the hour it takes to get there from our house since no other places compare! Seriously such an amazing facility with great staff! The staff always greet Stana with lots of excitement, which matches her excitement in being there! Thank you Playful Pack for offering a home away from home where our dog loves going and also gives us peace of mind! 😁😊❤️
Playful Pack is a great place! My dog loves going to their puppy day care and I love that he comes home clean, fluffy and a bit tired from all the playtime. I think the staff go above and beyond for all their customers. They have taken the time and effort to truly get to know my dog and his likes/dislikes. I especially appreciate the photos and daily report cards they send to me when he goes in. It’s my pups home away from home:). Thank you Playful Pack!!
Our cocker spaniel, Franklin has been going to Playful Pack (formerly Dog Thrive) since he was approximately 3 months old and over 2 and a half years later still earns the nickname “wiggle-butt” when approaching His favorite people at Playful Pack! They offer emails with weekly PLAY-tivities, holiday events and photos, a report card with photos, a friendly and caring team that take time to form relationships with your pup, reliable and long hours, boarding that can be personalized, and fantastic grooming! Anyone who has attempted their own pandemic grooming knows what a challenge it can be. Everyone at the Annapolis location has been and continues to be accommodating, caring, and generally amazing. Check out their Instagram for more photos!
We love Playful pack for daycare and boarding. Our dog Luna is so excited when we pull in the driveway that she starts shaking and makes a beeline for the door. She comes home happy and exhausted. They really seem to know and love her too, and that makes us feel so comfortable leaving her just for a day or a week when we’re out of town.
Been going here for several years for the very occasional daily drop off and routine grooming...for the long haired mini dachshund of course, not me. 😊 Staff is always pleasent, the grooming is always excellent. For a dog that doesn't even like me brushing her hair...let's not even get into what it would take to trim her nails, that's quite an accomplishment I think.
Rachel takes the BEST care of our two cats!! One of them takes medication so I’ve been nervous about leaving him in the past, but Rachel is extremely dependable, sends wonderful photos & videos each visit, and the communication is 10/10. She truly goes above and beyond- when one of our cats had an upset tummy while we were away, she bathed him (not an easy task, let me tell you…) and even washed a quilt that had been stained. This was not at all expected of her but very much appreciated! We feel so comfortable leaving our pets under Rachel’s care and would highly recommend her services
Rachel was great! My kitty was well cared for and happy when we returned. Also, her technology makes doing business easy and you get pics and videos for every visit. My 20-yo kitty needs lots of special care (ice cubes in her water) and Rachel was very attentive to spoiling her!
Rachel is a wonderful, kind and caring person. She always sends the best photos and takes my dog Poppy in the best adventures ever. I highly recommend Rachel to anyone and everyone whose is looking for a thoughtful person to care for their fur baby.
Rachel is wonderful. My cat enjoys her company. She sends good photos and videos. I appreciate her communication and professionalism.
I got married this past weekend and was able to do so because Rachel could take care of my pets. I have 4 cats and 2 dogs and was gone the entire day, well into the evening. I felt super secure in her attention to detail and caring nature. I cannot thank her enough. All of the people I would normally tap to check in on my babies were at the wedding with me, but I had met her on occasion before and knew they would be in excellent hands. I loved receiving picture updates and seeing how sweetly they were treated. I would 100% recommend her services to anyone seeking a caring and thoughtful pet sitter.
Rachel took wonderful care of my 18 and a half year old cat Leo. I loved the pictures she sent after every visit and felt that Leo was in great hands. I will definitely use her again and highly recommend her! 😸 …
Rachel is an amazing human with a big heart for so many. She loves every pet as if they’re her own. She is timely, trustworthy, conscientious, and a fantastic communicator. I highly recommend Furkinsense & Purr!
Rachel's care for our animals and our home has been truly exceptional! She treats our pet family as if they were her own, going above and beyond to ensure their well-being. Our animals get so excited the moment she arrives. When our older dog faced health challenges and declined, Rachel's thoughtfulness shone through. She provided Bass with the utmost care and attention, adjusting her approach to accommodate his needs. And while (regretfully) it really wasn’t easy for her on one particular trip, she somehow made it through while keeping their stress levels down. Her compassion and dedication are beyond evident in her every interaction, and we are incredibly grateful and fortunate to have her uniquely loving and attentive personalized care. She truly is, Simply the BEST!
After a long search, we have found the best pet sitter, Rachel of Furkinsense & Purr! We liked her from the start at the Meet & Greet; so friendly and so excellent with our two furkids. The online booking is great. Rachel's communication and great pics put us at ease when we are away knowing they are in the best care. You can tell Rachel loves what she does; an amazing person who gives the best pet care!
Rachel is the absolute sweetest. My dog loves her. She always has extra treats in hand for special holidays. Reliable and can even fit us in last minute. So lucky to have her!
We have worked with Sam at LFL ever since we rescued our pup Dean 3 years ago. However, we hired Sam to work with Dean on the day of our wedding & this was one of the best decisions we made. She was prepared, patient; she worked with Dean to keep him calm & entertained. She made sure our pictures came out amazing by getting his attention & she even took her own photoshoot of him while he was occupied. We hired her partly because Dean knows her & is comfortable with her, but also because we knew she'd do an amazing job & she did not disappoint. Photos by Jackalope Photography
We signed up for the in-home puppy training package, and Jayna was really helpful in showing us how to acclimate our fur baby, who was 10 weeks during his first session. She answered all our questions and taught us how to incorporate training with our schedules to keep him progressing. We've also signed up for the day enrichment program to reinforce the things he's been taught, sending him about 2x a week. I have no complaints! Will definitely be signing up for the obedience school and use them for overnight boarding as needed. Glad to have this awesome team in the community to help out all of us dog owners!
Amazing results! Our dogs love the gals at Leash Free Living. We appreciate the report cards and photos every time the boys are with their friends and trainers. Excellent service and such great people.
Our rescue dog, Sansa, was extremely stubborn. Her trainer (Jayna) was awesome! We were having such a difficult time teaching her even the most basic obedience commands. After just three lessons she is a whole new dog. She listens so much better and has so much more confidence. My wife and I would highly recommend Jayna/Leash Free Living.
Just one lesson in so far, but all of the staff and trainers were very friendly, and my dog felt instantly at ease with our specific trainer. Their training style places a high priority on animal welfare, which was very important to me. Our dog is taking lessons because she thinks sidewalks are just for her and not other dogs; she has new desire to yell at delivery workers to get off her lawn; and people who visit don't understand her European roots and that it is customary to lick each other's face when greeting one another. We explained she lives in America now, but she does not accept this. Alas, we are now in doggy etiquette school. But I know she's in great hands!
I have been working with Leash Free Living - taking group classes with my dogs, bringing my dogs to day training, and taking private lessons - for the past 2+ years. Our experiences have been very consistent and very positive. My dogs love the trainers here, and look forward to their time with Leash Free Living. Greatly appreciate their good communication with me and their consistent methods. I've learned so much & highly recommend LFL.
My dog has been going to Leash Free for daycare since he was a baby. He loves going & I feel safe with him there. The staff is great. They email photos & film of your dog while in group training. It's so fun to receive them! We have also gone to specific trainings as well as having private training. Thumbs up for all of it. They love what they do & I do recommend them.
We’ve been happy clients of Leash Free Living for about a year and a half. Our dogs used to go to daycare for training, our puppy did tag along training when we would go out of town, and we had Sam come to our home for weekly lessons. We moved to Florida, and still participate in virtual classes! We love our LFL family! The training methods are simple, easy for us and our dogs to understand, and Sam is an amazing teacher! It’s so wonderful to have the support and all the training options they provide! Highly recommended and 4 paws!!!
We got our puppy Ellie when she was 9 weeks old. She was a cute, fun, crazy puppy that definitely needed some discipline! We hired Sam to come in for 3 private lessons which really helped us as owners get a grasp of what to do when Sam wasn't around. She gave us basic instruction, taught us some tricks and gave us TONS of tips. She was so wonderful that we decided to sign up for the obedience class. We went for 10 weeks and Ellie got to make some cute doggy friends and really focus on what was expected of her. We probably should have practiced and worked with her more on our down time but Ellie passed and even received her Canine Good Citizen certificate! We loved Sam as a trainer; she was straight and to the point, didn't use force and gave us some great strategies to continue to work on. I am hoping to put Ellie in the retrieve class next & then after that, hopefully Sam will have some agility! ;) We couldn't be happier with Leash Free Living and would recommend it to any dog owner! Ellie's happy, and we're happy! THANKS SAM!
We recently had our 8-month old rescue puppy attend the Tag-A-Long program while we were on vacation and it was a wonderful experience. We absolutely loved how detailed the daily report cards were and how we received pictures and videos daily as well. Totally put us at ease with leaving him for an extended tim for the first time. The trainers did a wonderful job continuing his obedience training and socialization as well as helpful and individualized advice and videos to continue his training at home. Would recommend 1000% and we are excited to continue training with LFL!
I am so thankful for the care my pet Chili received at Bowie Pet Sitting. Shannon went above and beyond to ensure my fur baby was well taken care of while I was away. She is professional, attentive, and kept me updated with photos and messages, which I really appreciated . I’ll definitely be using their services again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, trustworthy pet care!
Shannon was so great! We met her and saw her home before deciding to board our chihuahua, Dash with her. Shannon is very knowledgeable about dog care and answered all of our questions thoroughly. Dash got personal attention throughout the day and cuddles in the evening. Shannon sent daily updates with pictures, reassuring us that he was doing well while we were gone. We couldn't have asked for better care for our little guy!
Our family has three small dogs that span a variety of ages (from 17 to 4!) and we travel a few times a year. With the stresses that come with traveling, the care and safety of our dogs is not one of them. The overnight care they receive via Shannon and Doug is even better than having them stay with family or friends. They are so attentive to our dogs' every and varied needs. Prior to the overnight stay, Shannon takes a lot of time to get to know the dogs needs and asks all the right questions. While we are away, we get great updates and photos — very reassuring when you are a hemisphere away! I'm especially heartened by Shannon's expertise with small dogs as this is an important factor for me when I look for caretakers for our pups. We lovingly spoil our dogs and we're so happy to have found care for them that knows to do the very same!
Bowie Pet Sitting was absolutely wonderful, dealing with Shannon was delightful. They were detail oriented, professional, friendly, efficient & just an absolute pleasure. Her & her husband took very good care of our cat & the daily update with pictures really eased my mind while gone. I also loved that she requested a quick email to confirm we made it back home safe & sound. When we got home we had a content, well cared for & happy cat. Also a very nice log of what was done everyday & a welcome home message. I highly recommend Bowie Pet Sitting, they are the absolute Best!!! Next trip away I'm definitely using them again. Thank You So Very Much Shannon & Doug, you're the best!! C.Williams
Shannon and Doug have taken care of two generations of cats in our family. They were kind and caring with our aging cats and our new kittens. I love to travel and feel secure knowing they are there for our pets. Shannon is highly detail-oriented and checks carefully to make sure she is familiar with all aspects of the cats' care. Shannon's emails with photos give us a smile and reassurance that all is well. She is quick to respond to emails and accommodating to our requests. The best testimonial comes from our shy Bengal boy cat, who typically avoids visitors, but begs Doug to pet him.
Our family has been fortunate to have pet sitting services from Shannon and Doug’s team for the last 4-5 years! Our two cats need extra special care and sometimes require extra attention, so when we’re out of town, we need pet care we can rely on. The Bowie Cat team always delivers, provides our cats with an appropriate amount of socialization, always follows our cat care instructions, and sends us update pictures while we’re out of town. Once, we were gone for two weeks and when we came home, it was like we hadn’t left - in other words, our fur-babies were happy with the care they received. 5 star service and wonderful people to work with!
I have been using Shannon and Doug’s pet sitting service for years before they expanded to Bowie. If you want complete peace of mind about your pet’s welfare while you are away for work or vacation, look no further. My job requires me to travel for days at a time, so having access to a reliable pet sitting service is key. Shannon and Doug offer affordable rates, dependable service and make sure to know all the pet’s needs, preference and habits well in advance. They will contact you during your absence, sometimes with photos, to let you know how your pets are doing. On return, you’ll receive a record of visits and fun observations about your pet’s wellbeing during your absence. For anyone with an older pet, or one with a medical conditions, Shannon and Doug are simply the best in the business! I recommend them to anyone needing support in caring for their animal companions.
We've had nothing but great experiences with Doug and Shannon's cat sitting service. They've looked in on our cat several times over the past few years when we've taken trips out of the country. It puts our minds at ease to know that they are taking good care of our cat while we're away. I appreciate that they send cute photos and take time to play with her. Each time we've returned, our kitty has been in really good spirits, which lets us know she's been super well cared for. Doug and Shannon are patient and reliable with detailed instructions and very responsive by email. I had used several other DC-area cat sitters before, but I wouldn't think of using anyone else now. Highly recommend!
Shannon and Doug have cared for my dog for years and run a highly professional service. I enthusiastically recommend Bowie Boarding Retreat.
I have been using this pet sitting service for around 13 years - ever since it first started up in the College Park area. They have always been responsible and have given attention to my cats (fed, brushed, and petted) such that the cats were happy and relaxed when I returned.
My dog and I love Beechnut! My pup is always so excited to go in the door and the staff there are so nice and excited to see her. She is tired when I pick her up at the end of the day, so I know she got lots of playtime. They even accommodate her food allergies by allowing me to bring treats for them to use, and they suggested I bring a blanket which has helped with her separation anxiety. They are also so responsive when I need to make, change, or cancel appointments. Would definitely recommend!
My dogs and cat absolutely love it here!! I was so nervous when we started because my dogs had a bad daycare experience but I could tell they still wanted to be social. Beechnut absolutely took it slow with them to make sure they felt safe and assured this wasn't the same as before. Now when we drop they don't even look back. Just head straight on in, even know what the word Daycare means. The cat has boarded here and also had a good time. She didn't come home with boundless energy so I know she got play time. They always answer my questions and reassure this nervous pet mom. Couldn't dream of boarding or having daycare anywhere else! Worth the 30 minute drive, no question. 🥰
The staff are always cheerful and engaging. The pricing is very fair for the service you receive. I've recently used both boarding and daycare and both exceeded expectations. I would highly recommend using them and if you are unsure a quick call or visit will surely help you decide. My dog always comes back tired from all the play she receives.
My dog, Joy, LOVES Beechnut! She practically jumps out of the car window when we get to the facility. The staff is caring , knowledgeable, and kind to the dogs and their human companions. They are focused on safety- always reporting any issues that may come up, like noticing a sore paw. They go above and beyond- for instance, accepting my dog as a last minute overnight board when we couldn’t pick her up due to the traffic congestion due to the tornado. I completely trust the staff to take great care of my dog and I don’t worry at all about her when she is there. The staff just seem to love what they do. I am grateful that pup has a great time and I have peace of mind.
My dog has loved Beechnut for years. Caregivers are in tune with what my pet needs for an enjoyable stay.
We have been using Beechnut for years. This is our second generation of boxers that stay there when we are on travel. They are great, they love their playtime and we don't have any worries about them getting their medications, food and attention. Our cat even goes there to get spoiled. Their prices are very fair, they dont nickle and dime you for everything.
We have had an amazing experience with Beechnut Kennels. Our Gus was well cared for and returned to us happy and healthy. The staff was so helpful when we boarded him last minute (to have a baby) and even when we had to extend our reservation mid-stay. I can’t say enough good things. You can tell a lot about how a much they care from the beginning to the end. The questions they ask, the required trial day. All of it. Simply the best experience.
Beechnut Kennels is AMAZING!!! I feel so lucky that I found them for my energetic dog, Eddie! The staff truly seem to genuinely care about every single dog and their communication is GREAT. I had taken Eddie to a different doggie daycare before and never heard much about how he was doing. It felt so large that it didn't feel like they could watch the dogs closely enough. At Beechnut, they've communicated to me about everything I'd want be contacted about (ex. ripping up his mattress when he boarded once, eye discharge, very loose stool, when he wasn't seeming or playing like himself 2 days in a row....turns out because I was home sick and his routine was all off and it was affecting him more than I realized). It's the only place where I feel I 100% trust Eddie's care. He always barrels out of the car when we pull up! He loves it there so much and so do we!!!! Thank you Beechnut Kennels for taking such amazing care of Eddie!!
A great place with wonderful, patient, caring staff. Our dog thrives there and has become much more confident through her interactions with other dogs and the staff. Complete confidence in them.
My dog Bumblebee loves going to Beechnut Kennels so much that he starts going crazy with excitement a mile down the road and tries to climb out of the car to get there faster. The staff are always similarly excited to see him too. We are never sad to drop him off there, just a bit jealous that he seems to like them more than us. ;)
Top notch dog boarding & daycare business. My wife and I boarded out 11 month old puppy here for two weeks and we have zero hesitation about taking her back in the future. The regular feedback and updates we received while away was very comforting. While we were there for drop off and pick up we could easily tell this is a well run operation that cares about their staff performance and our pets.
This place is the Ritz. My 18 year old dog sprints around like a puppy after staying here- he loves it. Highly recommend. Edited: A year and a half in and he still loves it. They're friendly and helpful and communicative- 10/10 would recommend. Yes, it's expensive, but most places out here are and offer signficantly worse care.
We have boarded our dog Wallace at the Dogwood Acres Davidsonville location twice. Last week we had to go overseas on short notice and thankfully they had space. It gave us peace of mind to know he was there while we were so far away. The staff is lovely and caring, the facility is clean and I really appreciate how stringent they are with making sure any pet boarding there is up to date on vaccines, including the canine influenza vaccine. Receiving texts, photos and access to the webcams also helped us know our furry friend, who can be a bit shy with new people, was settling in and doing well throughout his stay. He came home clean, tired from all the play sessions and nature walks and didn’t miss a beat settling back into his home schedule, which for us is a good indication of how he was well cared for during his stay. Thank you and great job Dogwood Acres team!
Been trying to get my dog in fir her first day. Keep leaving voicemails. We get calls back and gave been playing phone tag for 2 weeks. Is it to hard to answer your phones when someone calls? Or maybe schedule something when we had the tour? Horrible business practices. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. if they can't answer the phone to give them money, how will they act when they are taking care of your pets.
A week long retreat cost me $1000 for 2 dogs. My dogs appeared to have had a great time and the staff legit seemed to love animals. The facility is nice and cozy, I liked the fact that they have web cams up so you can check in on the 4 legged family members. They lost a star when my 2 dogs came home with kennel cough and diarrhea however. That was another fun vet bill!
Very bad experience with Dogwood Acres in Davissonville. Took our dog in for day care. We took the pain to send vaccine records several weeks ahead and got confirmation of receipt. However, the young lady at the reception could not locate the records. We insisted that she take the time to find the documents. Finally we had to show the hard copies of the records. The young lady did apologize for the incident. We were totally frustrated with her her inept ability. Clearly, she was inexperience. We might have raised our voice in frustration but never used any curse words. That afternoon my wife received a call from the Customer Service. We had to call her back. The Customer Service lady was anything but providing customer service. She told us that there is not a fit for our dog meaning that they will not accept our dog in the future. No attempt to understand our version of the incident. Very negative attitude in all respects. Very rude response by the Customer Service lady. Do not go here. It is not what the newspaper has described the place to be.
Around 2017 was the first time we used Dogwood Acres(Davidsonville). We took our 2 cats for a little over a week long boarding. Katniss and Torie. Torrie was still a kitten. The staff were great with my kitties. I figured they would be since Torie was still a kitten....lol. Seriously though, I loved the updates about how they were doing while we were so far away. I also appreciated the tour of the cat area so I could see where they would be. This year (2023) we used the Stevensville location for our new puppy when a family member passed. Davidsonville didn't have any openings and it was really short notice. They fit us in within 48 hours. The staff was absolutely incredible. Super sweet, patient because Dude (yes, that's our pups name...lol) wasn't to sure about the strange people trying to take him away from me. I had to extend his visit once we were able to schedule the funeral, and one more time when I realized my mom needed me a little longer. We didn't pack enough food for the second extension, but they offered their food. Huge relief. When we got there to pick him up he acted like he didn't want to leave. It made my heart happy since I had just gone through such a tough time, and I felt guilty for extending his time. I've used them twice since then and as soon as he sees where we are he gets excited. We recently had a pet event at my work and Dogwood Acres donated items to put in our "doggy bags" for customers. I made sure to tell everyone that had never heard of them about my experience. Thank you so much for making my pup's stay there a good one. I will always recommend you guys.
As a first time customer with Dogwood, my experience was not good at all. I was told that I’d receive photos of my dog’s stay however, I did not. When I picked up my dog today, the receptionist said the photos were supposed to be sent on Sunday and that she could see if they could be sent today. I told her that it’s no point now since I’m here to pick up my dog. I thought the point of photos was to share with owners how their dog is doing during their stay. What would be the purpose of sending photos after pickup? I spent my entire trip worrying if my dog was alive and well because no photos or communications were sent to me. I received a report this morning at 6AM , my scheduled pickup was 8AM. It would’ve been nice to receive the report earlier. Additionally, my dog’s favorite toy and recent birthday gift was lost during the stay. I was told that if it’s found I will receive a call. The combination of no photos and losing his toy is why we won’t be returning. I was hoping he’d have a good experience but this is too much. I had to leave Dogwood this morning before I went off on someone and acted out of character. This is unacceptable and left a terrible impression.
Our little Yorki-Poo-Chi loves staying at Dogwood Acres. He hasn't mentioned anything he'd like to see changed. The staff are all super friendly, and the rates are very reasonable for what he receives.
Went for a tour and the outside in the back smelled like weed being smoked!!! I don’t know if anyone lives in the house that connects to the building but i know someone was smoking weed close to where the dogs were. I will not be bringing my dog here weed is not safe for them to be around
We recently used Sailor’s Dog Walking and Pet Sitting for last minute overnight services when another sitter unexpectedly cancelled. The owner of the company is very professionally, responsive, and reliable! She took excellent care of my dogs while I was away and sent several detailed notes and photos each day. I am very grateful to have found her company and will absolutely use them again in the future!
Alexandra and her team is fantastic. Reliable, great with our cats and dog. They follow all instructions- separate meals, medications/dosing and they always tidy up dishes, litter etc. We always get a report for each and every visit with the best photos (Alexandra could easily be a pet photographer too lol). She's a tough act to follow once we move -am going to miss her so much.
I absolutely love Alex and Sailor's Dog Walking. I'm always able to book an appointment and she does a great job with our dog, Mata. Mata is a larger dog (~90lbs) and I wanted to make sure we'd be able to have someone who could handle her. Mata is always happy when I get home. Would definitely recommend.
We really rely on Sailor's when we are at work. We feel like our pup is well taken of when we can't be there! They always send an email update as soon as the visit concludes.
Amazing! We worked with Alexandra for in house pet sitting when we were going to be away for 10 days. She was so professional and thorough. She came for a meet and greet, met our dogs, walked the house with us, went over all their care (one dog is a bit higher need with meds) and she was so fantastic. The daily reports with pictures were perfect and the dogs loved their walks. She is so fantastic, it is so nice to find a wonderful, animal loving, trustworthy dog walker/sitter in the area. Definitely recommend and looking forward to our next stress free trip knowing the dogs are so well cared for in our absence.
Alexandra and Sailor's Pet Care are WONDERFUL. We have a sort of odd couple of dogs-a big younger dog an a very small older (and grumpy) one. I always worry about my older guy when I leave him with someone because his temper can flare at any time and some sitters just can't handle it. Alexandra is patient and even told me that she liked getting to know my dogs and learning their quirks and how to manage them-exactly what you would want in a petsitter. I used to be nervous to the point that I couldn't fully enjoy my vacations before we met Alexandra. Now, I have no worries when I leave my pets in her care. I highly recommend her and her company and am so happy to have found them!
Alexandra has been incredible in taking care of our two dogs, both for day visits and extended overnight stays. She's been very professional, communicative, and makes every effort to care for our dogs. We're confident our dogs are in good hands whenever we're away.
I'm new to the area, so finding this service (and Alexandra) really eased my anxieties about leaving my elderly cat home alone while I was away. She is sweet, caring, and professional and took wonderful care of my cat. A huge plus to the service is having a mobile app where you can correspond with the sitter, who fills out a report card for each visit and sends pictures of your pet - such a sweet idea, and each time I saw them I had a massive smile on my face from hundreds of miles away. Very trustworthy and will absolutely use this service again.
We recently got a new puppy and needed some help with kennel breaks during the day. Sailor's stepped up to the job and have done an amazing job. Their reports on the puppy's kennel training and photos have been great! We plan to use their services routinely due to their amazing care.
I highly recommend this service. Alex has sat for my very spoiled cats for a couple of years and does an excellent job. You can count on her to arrive on time and stay as agreed. She loves animals so you never have to worry about whether your pets are getting the best care. She even goes the extra mile and sends me daily photos of them. (And yes, I'm a crazy cat lady.)
We can’t say enough about how much we and our babies adore cozy canine camp! The staff is so above and beyond. They go out of their way to make sure your pets feel safe. Our newest puppy was so scared to leave us for the first time and Dan actually sat with her trying to make her feel comfortable. It was so sweet! They email pics daily of them having a blast too which makes you smile on vacay! The absolute best place to board your fur babies !!! Thanks for all your hard work guys I can’t imagine how hard it is!!! We appreciate y’all so much!
Cozy canine camp has been amazing. My husband and I were looking for somewhere our dog would feel at home and be surrounded my people that treat her as if she were their own. We are very grateful for the staff. Brian the manager is awesome! They have been super accommodating. Thank you cozy canine camp
My dog loves the care she gets and she comes back from boarding happy. One year they were full we went somewhere else and she was distressed. Cozy is my favorite.
UPDATE: I did receive the refund of my deposit, but it did take about a month to receive it. Long time customer, I've been boarding my dog here every summer for many years. I booked a boarding reservation in July for my dog back in the beginning of April, but my dog pretty suddenly died near the end of April. I cancelled my reservation online but was not refunded the deposit. About two weeks later I called the office, no answer, but I left a message asking for a call back and if the deposit would be credited back due to the circumstances. No one ever returned my call. They were kind enough to send a hand-written condolence card in the mail, which I did appreciate, and that is why I've giving a 2-star review instead of 1-star. But I still have not received a call, email, nothing regarding refunding the deposit I paid for this reservation. I would understand if it was a last minute cancellation, even in the case of a pet's death, but cancelling a reservation 3 months in advance due to a pet's death, I would think that would warrant a refund of a reservation deposit. But apparently not at Cozy Canine Camp.
Our pup loves, loves, loves it here! He absolutely adores the counselors and other dogs. It's a one-stop shop offering daycare, boarding & grooming! VERY highly recommend.
Cozy Canine Camp is the best! Our high-energy beagle puppy Otto loves to go and gets so excited when it is a 'camp day'. They put up pictures daily so you can see what your dog is up to and are very responsive. I would recommend Cozy Canine Camp to anyone with a dog!
Dogs are always Happy to go here for boarding. They are well cared for and don't seem to lose a lot of weight like at other kennels. Staff is friendly and seems to truly care about the dogs. This is the only kennel in the area I trust to leave my dogs for a long stay (2+ weeks)
Thanks to Cathy and Cozy canine camp for being an outstanding facility. My Lance had three different groomers before we came in contact with Cozy Canine Camp. He hates care rides and being on a crate makes him even more anxious. We were always looking for a place than can take care of him and they just know how to do it. They offer this awesome VIP services where I can wait for him after I drop him, and pick him up right away after he is done, it is amazing. Lance always looks so handsome after his grooming session and I know he notices it too!! I can tell he likes Cathy since he never gave kisses to any other groomers before. If you are looking for a great groomer, Cathy will not disappoint you. From a regular grooming session to a VIP service Cozy Canine Camp has it all. If I can gave her 10 starts I will.
UPDATE: After speaking with the GM today, I put my rating at 5. I appreciate how she reached out to me to talk about my concerns. We used Cozy whenever we boarded our previous dog, so when it came time to board our current one we made a reservation. I sent a msg while we were away asking how she was doing. No response. They did let me know that she had loose stool and vomited bile the morning we were to pick her up. That was on Thursday. It's Sunday and I'm still waiting for her report card on how she did the whole stay. I've msg'd and emailed once each requesting it. I've called twice, spoken with someone each time and was told both times that they'd send to me. Nothing. I'm guessing it doesn't exist. I'm disappointed because we really liked them in the past. Not sure what we're going to do the next time we need boarding.
I rescue and foster dogs from numerous organizations in the area, and often times adopt the senior pups that can have trouble getting placed. So you can imagine I take their care very seriously. I try to make sure I'm always the one to take care of them, or my better half. But occasionally we're both traveling, or taking a vacation. Apollo (pictured below) is going on 13 years old now, and has significant arthritis (which he takes numerous medications for, as well as physical therapy and adequan injections). I was nervous to have him boarded for 10 days, but CCC has always been great with my dogs for day care or grooming (as well as previous boarding experiences). I'm remarkably happy I made the decision that I did, to board him and his sister at CCC. The a la carte nature of their experience is great, you can select private walks in the woods, half-day day-care, full-service grooming, late-night potty breaks - all as add-ons and customizations to your pets' stay. And the very well documented check-in process is crucial for older dogs like mine that take a slew of medication at very specific times. Being the fun dog dad that I am, of course I set up my fur-babies for the works. The camp called me after their first day to report they were doing well, and give them their report card. They probably would have called more after that, but I would typically beat them to it. After a couple of days, I got a call that Apollo wasn't doing so well, he was having trouble standing on his own, and wasn't getting around so well. After conversing with Apollo's vet, we decided to make a minor change to medication, and cancel all of the extracurricular activities - he was likely over-exerting himself and needed more quiet time. The camp complied with the change in direction, and called me regularly to report Apollo's progress. If things got any worse, I would return immediately to take care of him. After a couple days, they indicated he was doing much better. When I came to pick them up, several of the staff had come to the front to say good-bye. Apparently they had built a small wooden ramp for the one or two spots that had a step to allow him easier mobility. I've used boarding and day-care at many locations in the area, but there are very few that would have provided the time and attention that Apollo required. The adaptability, communicability, and care that they provided was first-rate. I probably won't be boarding Apollo any more, as he gets up in age that simply won't be a possibility. But for all of my other fur-babies and fosters, I am glad CCC is available.
Pawwws Aboard provides outstanding doggy daycare services in a nurturing and secure setting. The owner, personally ensured that my puppy, Tendie, received top-notch care. Her commitment to your fur baby's happiness and safety is reflected in every detail of the facility. Rest assured that Pawwws Aboard will deliver a welcoming and enriching experience for your cherished pet during your absence.
We contacted Pawwws Aboard to see if they were able/willing to watch a mini pig. Jazmin stated she had never done it but was willing to try. She came to meet him and we all felt comfortable so we booked her for 2 visits a day while we were away. She has fair pricing with multiple ways to pay. She was very communicative while we were away and sent pictures, videos, and updates during each visit. We felt at ease knowing she was there taking care of our pig. Will definitely use Pawwws Aboard again for future trips if she’s available
She is an awesome puppy sitter!! I will definitely be using her the next time my husband and I go on vacation! She sent us videos everyday for updates on our little one and she was always happy and playing. She showed our Frenchie lots of love and attention. I was very nervous about leaving her but she assured me that she was in good hands and I had nothing to worry about! She has a forever client here!
Jaz has been amazing! Pups and I moved to Baltimore and were so lucky to have found her! Takes great care and they adore her. I have a pup that needs meds twice a day, She is very responsible and I can trust her to be on time. I travel a lot for work, wouldn’t know what to do without her!
Jazmin is absolutely amazing!! She welcomed my baby boy into her home and he loved every visit. He adjusted well and surprised me with how well he did with the other dogs in her care. She even came to my home for personal walks when he was sick for a couple of days. An absolute God-send. Your dog is in good care with Pawwws Aboard! 🐶
Jazmin is excellent with my two senior dogs. They both love her. She checks on and spend a got deal of time with them the numerous tomes daily. Send picture to show me they good. Highly recommend her services. I will most definitely use her again!
Jazmin is very reliable and takes great care of my baby girl Lega. Excellent communication. I have a senior dog so she needs extra love and attention…you can trust Jazmin to ensure your dog is well taken care of. Lega is always excited to see her:)
Kind, friendly pet care and it’s obvious dogs are loved and well-cared for! Definitely recommend and will use again!
We started daycare with Jazmin for our very energetic pup. Bailey loves her and always enjoys her time. Jazmin really cares for all the pups that she takes care of.
I had a pause in my need for a pet sitter during the past year. We just did a camping trip and needed to board our fur babies. Even though we moved further away from Jazmin, I thought of her first. She responded quickly that she had an opening and during our trip she sent pictures of Emma playing with a toy and Lingling playing with the puppy, Beauty. I knew they were in good hands!
After a last minute debacle with my normal boarding facility, I had to scramble to find a place on such short notice with which I felt comfortable and confident to leave my fur baby, Duke. I reached out to 2 highly recommended/reviewed boarding facilities, and while both replied with availability, only Domestic asked if I would like to view the facility. I immediately said yes to the tour, and upon arrival, was greeted very warmly by the owner, Therese. After only a few minutes, I knew this was the place for Duke. The fact that she only takes 4 dogs at once ensures constant love and attention. In addition, the location/facility felt very home-like. The dogs have plenty of toys and much needed interaction/socialization. Photos and updates were provided over the 2 weeks that Duke was there and he even made some equine friends. I would definitely recommend Domestic Pet Care to anyone needing boarding care. Prices are extremely reasonable; In my opinion, so much so that I tried to give more but it wasn't accepted. Domestic Pet Care also provides a Veteran discount and a New Customer deal. I can guarantee that Duke will stay there again, along with my new pup, Tessa (once she arrives).
Therese has the ideal setup for boarding and we couldn’t have been happier with her services. She has 2 large fenced in areas for the dogs to play in and a nice clean indoor setup w 4 air conditioned kennels. We loved that she only boards 4 dogs at a time and never let’s the dogs play unsupervised. Our dog was not spayed yet so she made sure to pay close attention to who she could play with. We had a 1 week vacation across the country only 1 month after getting our 6 month old Lola and were very worried she would have a tough time with separation anxiety, etc. Therese gave us daily text updates with pictures letting us know she was having a great time and playing nicely with a couple of the other dogs. When our flight changed Therese was also very accommodating and had no problems letting us pick her up a day after we had originally scheduled to. We will definitely be coming back to DPC next vacation! Thanks, Therese!
Went to Fl for 4 days, googled kennels because pie regular was booked. Found this one and loved it! She sends daily pics and lets you know how your dog is doing. I would 100% recommend Therese and will be going back!
Therese is great. She knew I was nervous about boarding my dog so she sent me a few pics during her stay to ease my mind. The room where my dog spent most of her time was well air conditioned, clean, and there was a tv for back ground noise (which my pup prefers). There’s a clean outdoor play area with lots of toys and she only accepts a few dogs at one time so each animal gets the attention they deserve. I talked to about four boarders/kennels before choosing Domestic Pet Care- the other facilities I spoke with were not even amendable to letting me view the facility beforehand (sketchy). I I feel safe leaving my pup here. FYI…first responders get a discount.
Therese was amazing. We received multiple updates. Just when I was thinking I wonder how the dogs are doing, I would get a text with a photo of them. She had jackets on them when it was cold and I was able to have an awesome weekend with no worries. Domestic Pet Care was convenient and affordable. When you have a trip that you are not able to bring the entire family (pets), Domestic Pet Care will take care of the pets for you and treat them like family for you.
Theresa took loving care of our senior golden, and let us now immediately of any issues he had (itchy ears). She even cleaned his ears with our permission. Domestic Pet Care provides a lovely home-like experience in a quiet country setting, with a lovely exercise yard. Compatible dogs even have supervised play together! Our pupper had a great experience here.
We have two teacup Schnauzers - both less than 5 lbs. We are reluctant to leave them with anyone. Therese's kennel is small, safe, clean and she is an absolute gem! I highly recommend her.
We were in a jam and Therese really helped us out and took care of our shy dog this past week. She sent us photos throughout the week and our dog played with some of the dogs which she doesn’t normally do at other kennels. Therese had a great set and up and we were impressed with how she took care of our dog. We will definitely use her in the future.
Our 2 fur babies did great here. They are both rescues and scared of everything so we could not leave them in a kennel. They were well cared for and in great shape when we returned. We are so thankful for personalized attention, loving care, cool and relaxing space and daily access to a nice play yard for exercise!
Therese is wonderful! I have a dog who can be very anxious in new situations and I felt completely comfortable with Therese watching him. She went out of her way to get him used to the place (letting us tour, do a half day visit) etc. I can’t thank her enough for giving these dog parents a weekend break! It was stress relieving knowing he was in capable hands. I will absolutely be returning. Thanks Therese!
