I’m so glad we found WDWW! Our boy absolutely loves Allana and is so settled when she does overnight sits with him. I really hope we never have to find anyone else! Allana is clearly naturally gifted with caring for animals, and puts you completely at ease when caring for your pet. Lovely regular updates, and always a happy waggy tail when we come home! If you’re looking for care for your pets within Allana’s area, I 110% recommend choosing WDWW! I no longer worry when I’m away, and I’ve never felt so confident in overnight care for my dog.

Allana is the best cat sitter we have ever had so attentive and caring went above and beyond looking after our cats needs ....even our timid kitty was comfortable with her very reasonable rates would 100% recommend.

Our dog Billy absolutely loves going to Bev’s for day care, as he gets to spend the day doing his two favourite things - walking and snoozing! We re-homed him last year, and think he had spent a lot of his life being left alone at home for most of the day. Since going to Bev’s, Billy has become much more confident and playful, and his days at day care have helped him to socialise and make lots of doggy friends! Bev is so kind to all the dogs, and her background as a veterinary nurse gives us complete peace of mind. The dogs go out on exciting and varied walks, and can then relax in her comfortable home. We couldn’t ask for anyone better to care for Billy, and would recommend Bev’s services to everyone!

We are so grateful to Beverley and Flora for making Stan’s first stay with them a comfortable and well cared for one. The daily updates, photos and videos were a great comfort while we were away. My spaniel has a wonderful time with Bev, Flora and the daycare dogs. Bev is very caring and clearly puts time & effort into making sure the dogs are well integrated and happy. She takes them on lovely walks, which my active dog loves. Bev also provides videos and photos to show the happy time they are having in the beautiful countryside of South Somerset. I am very pleased with this special and unique service that ensures my dog is exercised, engaged and has an enriched experience. The dogs are well looked after and safe. He comes home after a good day with his friends, tail wagging and happy!!

Bev has visited our cat for the last 10 months on a regular basis and is absolutely excellent. She cares for our cat impeccably well and keeps us updated with WhatsApp photos/videos on every visit. Bev also ensures our home is secure and locked after each visit. Thankfully our pet has not been unwell whilst we have been away, but I am confident that Bev would address any illness issues of our cat swiftly and keep us informed. Thank you for all you do!

Our dog Bertie has a lovely time at daycare with Happy Pets and Paws. Bev makes sure all of the dogs get on well, they have different walks every day and lots of one on one interaction too as they are never in a big group. We also get lots of updates and videos on their walks. Would highly recommend for any daycare or walking services.

For assurance that your dogs and cats are in good hands when you go on holiday then get peace of mind with Bev at Happy Pets and Paws in Ilminster. After many years of excellent, caring attention we would highly recommend Bev. We have cats - at times many cats! - and they really do enjoy staying at home rather than going away for their holiday. They were getting stressed being taken away to holiday homes and then again on the return trip. Bev allows them to remain in their own familiar home in stress free surroundings. We have had cats with a wide range of ages and requirements, including some old timers like us requiring medications, but Bev provides all the care they need. As she is a qualified veterinary nurse, this is an obvious bonus because we know that she will spot if something is not right and will be on hand to sort it out. Bev also keeps us updated while we are away and you can hear the love and attention she provides. We have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone who wants a professional, caring and friendly ‘mum’ to keep your pampered ones happy while you are away.

Honey has a fabulous time with Bev and Flora (and the rest of the gang) Bev provides a caring service with excellent communication and is flexible with our working hours. We have used HPP for boarding as well and it is reassuring knowing Honey has so much fun while we are away. We especially like that Bev only accepts well mannered and sociable dogs. Would highly recommend and we intend to continue sending Honey to HPP for many years to come!

Highly qualified, very professional dog Walker and carer. Unhappy that we hadn’t used all of the same commands as she uses, for dog training. Has a very small garden. Own dog and our dog just didn’t click? No idea why. So despite having paid lots of money for a holiday we had to then cancel. When we tried to book again we were rejected. Lots of time wasted as we wanted someone for emergencies and dog free occasions like Weddings . Paid for test visits, and accepted. Then when we needed help we had to start searching all over again. I’m disabled and have limited mobility so this was a big problem.

My dog has been going to Happy Pets & Paws for daycare for about 7 years now, and still absolutely loves it. Bev provides a very high quality service and always puts the dogs and their welfare first, all whilst being extremely professional and totally reliable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her services.

I would have given 20 stars if I could. Absolutely brilliant grooming service. Thank you Nelly for making such a great job of my Border Collie Wolfie. Taking such care of a very nervous old guy. He looks very smart . X

Bungle thoroughly enjoyed his stay! We had to book at very late notice and Elwell were incredibly accommodating. Thanks loads for getting us out of a sticky situation!

Price for 24 hours has gone up to £42! This after an increase in March to £23.

I have really taken exception to the woman who complained about her dog being taken into the paddock, attended by a member of staff and her dog. She said her dog was not to go with the rest of the dogs, because he had been attacked by dogs in a park and therefore was of a nervous disposition. I applaud this member of staff, she obviously felt sorry for this poor dog, watching all the others playing and decided to let her dog run around in the paddock with her dog only. He was safe and happy.There was no reason for this woman to become so belligerent . These kennels are fantastic and so are the members of staff! Our dog Woody, starts barking his head off in the car, as we get within 2 miles of this place. He adores the staff and happily trots in to his kennel. I think the paddock is magic. It allows the dogs to race around and socialise. We live 40 minutes away, and we have five kennels within 3 miles of our home, but we will always place Woody at Elwell.

We have taken our dog Bob here a number of times. The best recommendation as far as I'm concerned is that he goes in quite happily. He has a good memory for places and has his own way of showing clearly if he does not want to go somewhere!! I would definately recommend the grooming service. I always book him a session while he is there as he loves the attention and comes home looking fabulous.

We have left our dog at Elwell on a number of occasions with no issue. Last summer we used them again for our Lurcher. Our dog absolutely loves people, but is often nervous around others dogs as she has been attacked on a number of occasions. As a result she can be a little funny with other dogs at times and I am very careful which dogs I let her play with. And as her owner, I know how to read her signs. I always specify when I leave her at Elwell that she is NOT to be let into the paddock with other dogs and believed that this was respected and she was kept separate from them. However, on collection, the young lady who was there when I collected her, let slip that she had allowed my dog to run around in the paddock with her own terrier. When I mentioned that this was not what I had requested and that my dog should have been kept separate, she said 'Oh, well I thought they would be fine'. To add to this, my dog was filthy. Apparently vet bedding is used. Well, I can only assume it was not changed very often at all because she needed a good bath when I got her home. This year we are taking her elsewhere. I will never use Elwell again!

Always use this kennel as excellent with animals. Even when our other dog was old and needed medication nothing was too much trouble. More importantly dogs have always gone in happily.

Barking Mad Taunton found us the perfect host for our two dogs while we had a lovely holiday knowing our dogs were being well cared for. After the distress they suffered after their last time in kennels this is the perfect solution. Will certainly use them again.

I have multiple animals that I love, but also love going away on holiday. The looks my dog gives me when I pack my case makes me feel so guilty for leaving him behind. Jo has provided superb care for my dog,horse, cat and chickens. She moves into my house meaning the animals are able to stay in their own enviroment. She makes sure she sticks to their regular routine making the separation from their family stress free. Knowing they are being so well cared for means I can enjoy my break. Sometimes she even brings her own dog, who mine has become best buddies with. I always know I will come back to a tidy house and happy pets. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Amazing dog care! Jo’s love for animals is so evident and the care she gives is so bespoke. Nothing is a problem. If we’re running late or early with our dog, it’s never a problem. A really personable down to earth lovely lady who is trusted by our dog and our whole family!

Jo is just what you are looking for: great comms, confident and relaxed with pets. My pup had a great time and has returned content, well mannnered, exercised and clearly loved and well attended to.

I have taken my rescue dog to Tracey at Pondarosa, after hearing many good reports over the years. I have used the Boarding kennels I have worked at for over 30 years but now with new owners with different standards ,I decided to try Pondarosa I must say I am very impressed ! I highly recommend Pondarosa the staff are lovely and my dog goes in eagerly.Very clean and the added bonus of a free run area . Thank you Tracey for the welcome and peace of mind I have leaving Dora with you.

I very rarely write reviews unless something is outstanding (either way, good or bad). I was looking for a 2nd kennel in case my current kennels were busy. Very abrupt and dismissive on phone. Essentially, we don't want your business as you own a Bullmastiff. Was told this breed does not kennel well (tar and brush come to mind). Fortunately my current kennels do not feel that way, and welcomes my dog often.

Monty and Bella love their stays at Pondarosa and always come back happy and healthy. Very lovely kind and caring staff who obviously form a good bond with the dogs they look after so well. Lovely outdoor enclosed area where the dogs can run around safely. Highly recommend.

I have been a customer for several years. [ appox 25 years] In all that time they have been excellent. They are a very caring family and they look after your pets as though they were their own. My two dogs, Titch and Toby have just spent the last week at Pondarosa and we couldn't have been more happy with the service and the attention our dogs received. A super family run kennels in beautiful surroundings. The staff were amazing and eased any worries of leaving our pooches behind with them, lovely clean kennels and our holiday was made easier knowing they were in safe hands. We highly recommend using pondarosa and will be using them again in the future.

Always worried about putting my dogs in Kennels but not anymore. My Dog Yogi flies out the car when he gets there and runs to the gate tail wagging and as soon as it’s open he’s gone. Makes me feel happy to go away knowing he is happy too. Thank you for looking after him so well.
