Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

Angie and Joe were fabulous pet/house sitters and overall people! Angie sent daily updates with photos. Really appreciate the extra effort they put into watering the grass and garden. The house was exactly the same as when I left (including sheets/towel washed, beds made, frig cleaned, dishes put away and trash taken out...). Pretty sure Mia was looking for them the next day as she ran to the guest bedroom. Already scheduled a second sit! If you're lucky enough to land them as pet sitter then you're lucky.
Tina was a fantastic house/pet sitter for my cat Trixie - I can’t recommend her enough! She was very communicative and also self sufficient and I felt completely at peace with Trixie in her care. She took it upon herself to water my plants and also trimmed Trixie’s nails, which I always struggle with! She provided perfect company for Trixie, playing with her, brushing her, loving her and giving her daily medicine. She also left my apartment in perfect condition. I would gladly have Tina pet sit again. A 10/10 experience.
Once again, having AnnaMarie take care of our pups was absolutely the right choice!! Her frequent updates, care of our house and fur babies was stellar! Although the dogs were thrilled to see us when we returned, as we chatted with Annemarie, we could see them continuing to go to her for affection and cuddles. It was so sweet to watch our one-year-old lick her ear and Annamarie just giggled and happily tolerated it. What a great sport😎. We would highly recommend her to anyone and would also suggest if you happen to see a less than perfect review for her ( there is only 1)I know the true story... it's unfortunate that some people are so unappreciative of someone who will go out of their way to care for their home and Pets (at no charge🙃🙃)-- it just boggles my mind and am confident they are not being honest! Suffice it to say she is a gem and perfect sitter in every way- if you can get a chance to book with her- do not hesitate! We truly think of her as part of our family now and all 5 of our pups would agree!
We were lucky to have Andrea back for another sit with our elderly dog and feral cat. She has been wonderful both in the past and on this last sit for a month! We trust her implicitly and are always at ease that our pets will have the most kind and careful attention. She is excellent with videos and communication and very clean and tidy. Again we feel lucky to have found her, and feel she would be a great sitter for any pets!
Anna and Alan were absolutely brilliant. This was my first time using a sitter for our pup and from the start Anna was reassuring and put me at complete ease. They sent regular pictures while we were away and were incredibly easy to communicate with. I'd highly recommend Anna and Alan for any pet sitting needs. Robyn
Laura was an exceptional, reliable, and loving sitter for our goldendoodle Scout, and took such good care of our home! Scout was excited to meet Laura immediately when she arrived at our home for this sit, and showered Laura with all the hugs and kisses. Scout has recently been having issues with seizures, so for this sit I was specifically looking for a sitter who had a depth of experience with giving medication and responding calmly in the event of an emergency. It was a big relief to be able to entrust Scout to Laura's capable and kind hands, and it was extra special that Laura's beloved vizsla had shared the same name. Laura is wonderfully easy to communicate and coordinate with, and was thorough in her care of our home. We came back to our garden looking great, house left in even better shape than I left it to Laura, and a very happy Scout! I cannot overstate how much we appreciated Laura's care for Scout and our home, and heartily recommend her as a pet and house sitter. If you're lucky enough to get on Laura's schedule, your pups will be with the most wonderful stand-in dog mom you could have hoped for!
Andrea was the perfect sitter for our older Italian Greyhound and our shy cat. She followed every request to a “t”, and helped us to feel comfortable and care free for a long zeewoi. The communication of photos and videos were a warm reminder of how well they had been adjusting to our absence. Andrea showed care and consistent compassion for Darcy and Hammy. She seemed to enjoy them and our home as much as us! We returned to an absolutely spotless home, without anything left undone. She thought of everything related to us and our pets, so we could have a seamless late evening return. We highly recommend Andrea for any zeewoi, as she is a jewel. Anyone looking for a “perfect” sitter would be lucky to have Andrea as a trustworthy, considerate and kind person to care for their pets and home.
We were so happy to have Kyle as our house sitter for two weeks. Besides taking great care of our pets and our house, he was very accommodating. We were always able to get in touch with him if we needed to, and he agreed to take on some extra plant watering’s when the weather made a sudden change. As a bonus, he is very likable and communicative. We would definitely have him come again.
Ramona and Brandon were the perfect sitters! They rescued me and were very accommodating with my needs. Ramona's communication with me was A1. We spoke multiple times before she arrived and throughout the sit. She was good at keeping me updated and I was very grateful for that, being so far away. The pets gravitated toward them from the moment they arrived and you could see that all she and Brandon wanted to do was spoil the pets with lots of cuddles. My female pup was in heat and they handled that very well and were able to keep her and my male dog separated. I could only imagine how exhausting that may have been but they didn't complain one bit. Ramona and Brandon had to hand over the sit to another sitter and were kind enough to write out the details and everything they observed to make the transition a seamless one. I must say, it helped tremendously. I'd have them back in a heartbeat to sit for me as they showed that I could trust them, not only to take care of my pets but to respect my home they way they would their own. Thanks again for making my trip away worth it!
Janis is absolutely the best pet sitter and home care we have had. She is a regular for us during our Christmas vacation because we totally trust her with the care of our three dogs and the management of our home. She is so good and efficient that I have already requested that she sits for us again next Christmas. Our three dogs absolutely adored her as she played fetch, took them on walks, loved and spoiled them. Management of our home was excellent. I had no concerns whatsoever as we had packages delivered and Mail that needed to be picked up. The house was in much better condition than what we left it. I highly recommend Janis and you will be fortunate to have her as your sitter.

Fetch made is so easy to find a great sitter for our dogs. Ours dogs loved the company each night while we were out of town. Would highly recommend!
Fetch has become my go-to dog walking service over the past couple of years. It’s easy to schedule dog sitters and I’ve been able to use the same two wonderful walkers, giving me great peace of mind. Robyn, the owner, is wonderful to communicate with, and I’m also able to communicate directly with my dog walkers. The status reports with pictures and updates for each visit are so thoughtful and appreciated. Fetch is the best. I’ll keep coming back! 🎾
We had the most wonderful pet sitter through Fetch! She was so attentive and her updates were charming and detailed and so much fun for us to read - and the photos were fantastic! We were able to relax on our trip knowing our kitties were in very capable and conscientious hands. Cannot recommend Fetch more highly.
I’ve been a client of Fetch for several years and I would highly recommend them to any pet owner. We use Emily to visit our three cats and could not be happier. Prompt, professional, trustworthy. What else could anyone want.
Fetch is a truly great company with a wide variety of services, reliable and caring staff, quick response rates, and reasonable rates. I’ve used them for several years and have never had a problem.
Fetch! were a huge help when we were staying at Cavallo Lodge with our dog and needed someone to come to the hotel and stay with her on New Year's Eve. They found a perfect match for our pup. They were responsive and very professional and our sitter put us (and our pup) quickly at ease that our pup was in good hands. We would definitely use them again.
Fetch! Always takes care of our two cats! They always manage to fit us in with a pet sitter even at the last minute. Really helpful company. Would recommend highly.
We have used Fetch Pet Care for our 17 year old poodle. Because of her age she needs a little extra TLC. Fetch has proven very dependable and kind with out dog. They kept us posted while we were out of town how she was doing and contacted us with any questions. Our house was left in perfect condition and we came home to a very well cared for dog.
We moved to Sonoma 2 years ago and feel so lucky to have found our petsitter Lois, through Fetch. She's reliable, caring and easy to work with. Our two older cats now require medication and Lois has been very accommodating with their changing needs. Most importantly, the kitties are completely comfortable around her and we feel good knowing we've left them, and our home, in capable hands.
We have been using Fetch for many year to care for our cats while we travel. It has always been a great comfort to know that the pets we loved were being so well cared for. The daily journals and pictures we received showed are cats as active and happy. The litter is always clean when we return. In addition, our plants had been watered and mail taken in. Once, part of a tree fell in our yard, and the pet sitter texted us pictures, which allowed us to schedule tree service as soon as we got home. Our current pet sitter is a delight to work with. We sometimes think our cat is disappointed when we return. In short you could not do better than using Fetch for your petcare needs.
They take great care of my cats while I’m traveling. I’ve had many different pet sitters through them and all of them have been great. I recommend them wholeheartedly!
My business uses them all the time, they are always on time and super nice! I would definitely recommend.
Great with my fur baby. Very dependable.
Awesome 🤘 …
Thank you!
Fit N Furry is Lucy Loo’s home away from home. She loves her play days with friends and comes home all tuckered out. She also enjoys her sleepovers and we rest easy knowing she’s in the best of hands when we are away. Lucy Loo is a rescue from Mexico and gets very anxious around strangers. Her people friends at Fit N Furry treat her with such love and care. Can’t say enough good about the people and the place. They also have lots of fun events for the various holidays. We LOVE Fit N Furry.
We recently got a puppy and had to start over with a vet, training, and day care/boarding once in a while. We heard about FNF through a friend and gave them a try when we went to Disneyland. Our 6 month old Aussie Doodle isn't trusting of everyone. He definitely felt comfortable with the people at FNF immediately. It made a huge difference for us. We didn't have to worry about him. We got to enjoy the trip. They sent us pictures of him and updates the whole trip. It really put our mind at ease. He was well cared for and we could tell he wasn't stressed out etc. We will be continuing to give our business to FNF, even though there are other places that are more convenient and closer to us. Worth the drive 100% *Picture attached is one of the pics they sent to us as an update.
My big, deaf-from-birth, formerly stray dog thrives at FitnFurry. He was traumatized on the street as a pup and has issues with people and dogs, but at Fit he gets individualized attention, solo play in special sessions, and great care! The staff are terrific and he loves going there to stay.
It has been just about 3 weeks since we picked up our precious Lab Hope after her 18 day boarding/training course and her transformation has been amazing! This was a frightened timid and shaking dog that hid behind us when we arrived for her free consultation. We were assured that she would gain experience, confidence and skills while under their care. We journeyed of to Hawaii for a couple of weeks and received pictures and ongoing details of how her training was progressing. Today, the moment of truth came for us when we had visitors in our home, strangers to her. She laid down calmly, never barked, never got worked up, and when I put her on her leash to go for a walk, she sat calmly as she observed the strangers with not one ounce of negative fear or reaction. We went for our walk and she returned home just as calm as can be, all while my brothers dog barked uncontrollably at the strange voices. Marie has done a phenomenal job with Hope, and on her return visit, she was just as happy as can be returning to see Marie and her friends that she made at Fit & Furry. I have already referred several friends to Fit and Furry and I highly recommend their training courses. The transformation is so worth it! I was fortunate to be able to plan in advance and make payments prior to the training so that it was much easier to manage the cost of training, but I would not hesitate to do it again. Thank you Marie and staff on behalf of Hope and our grateful family! You are one in a million!!! Hope thinks so too!! Here is a picture of Hope and her little friend Sasha who was also once shy and Hope helped her to come out of her shell. Just Amazing Hope!!!
Wanted to start our new pup with a good daycare, lodging experience. Went to puppy play - well managed and then to lodging. Our girl is happy to meet all her new friends and played out by the time she comes home. They even gave her a bath after she got too messy! Loving Fit n Furry- hope your furball feels that same!
I can’t say enough about how wonderful Fit ‘N’ Furry is. My dog loves going to daycare, the groomer is excellent as well as the training staff. I have boarded my dog multiple times at Fit ‘N’ Furry because they take such good care of my dog. The training staff are always available when I have questions and they are absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend taking your pet to Fit ‘N’ Furry for all their services!!
My sweet shy rescue girl, Olive, received what I can only imagine was the best care she could get. Marie was her personal trainer to help Olive feel more confident, use her dog brain to provide her with fulfillment and purpose and show off just how intelligent she is! When I saw Olive at the end of her training, she was SO happy and full of positive emotions! It was such a pleasure to see this bright side of my shy little girl. Thanks to FitnFurry and Marie, in particular, for being patient with her and providing her with this lifelong skill and cherished memory.
We adopted a Dachshund mix puppy. We boarded him at Fit 'N" Furry and the service and care he received was excellent. The facilities are clean while the staff is welcoming and professional. In addition to boarding him, we engaged their trainer, Marie, to work with him. She not only trained him, but she trained us. She was insightful as to what our puppy’s needs were, the breed characteristics, developmental stages, etc. Our dog is now a 1 year adolescent and she continues to provide us with evaluation, problem solving, and setting expectations and goals. Marie is an outstanding, thoughtful, experienced, and caring professional. We strongly recommend.
We have been bringing our dog to Fit n’Furry since 2018. They are wonderful and take such great care of him. Always professional and welcoming. The staff is top notch!
This place has been a great one-stop shop for daycare, grooming, and training for us. Marie especially was an amazing trainer for our puppy. She was consistantly patient and kind with our puppy, and also took time to train our family how to continue building the skills at home. She has the heart and the know-how to work with the pups, and was worth every dollar spent!
My cat stayed here for nearly 2 weeks whilst we found at apartment. She had flown in from the UK and the staff were fantastic at making her and us feel welcome.
Tails of Terra Linda is just the best. It is abundantly clear that each staff member loves animals. Every time we drop off our doggie I know I can trust the staff to take excellent care of our fur baby. It fills me with joy to know that he is having fun with his friends. I feel so much gratitude for Tails of Terra Linda! Thank you!
I have taken my dog BB here for boarding several times over the past few years. She also gets her nails clipped, and glands done monthly. The staff is friendly and the facility is welcoming.
We brought my family's cats here when we were gone a couple days. They took good care of them. We asked if they'd do nails and a wash too but for some reason they didn't do it. My guess is that it's because when we met the groomer he told us he'd try but if the cat isn't going for it they would not force it. So I think they felt they weren't into it? Im not sure. He wasn't there when we picked the cats up so I couldn't ask. Other than that it's a safe affordable option to keep your pet in a space like its own little hotel room.
My dog loves it here and I love the people!! Thank you for watching Dolly when I can’t!
I boarded my Samoyed at “Tails of Terra Linda” for 10 days in July. I was anxious about leaving her there because I had never left her in a commercial facility before and thought she might have a difficult time adapting. The kennels and group play spaces appear very clean and the staff are quite friendly and happy to answers lots of questions. When I picked her up she had clearly bonded with the dog handlers, she looked great and seemed happy. Now when i bring Juno there for day care, she pulls me with her tail wagging to the front door .
This place is beyond the best! I cannot begin to tell you what great care they give to my dog. He cannot wait to go there and play each day. The "hotel" boarding is wonderful and I have so much trust that he is in the best hands when I'm traveling. Oh- and their groomer is AMAZING!
Our dogs enjoy Tails. They have been going here for four years. The facility is clean, staff is super responsive and our dogs always come home happy. I would highly recommend this kennel.
Love this pet resort. Rates are good, staff are friendly and the facilities are extremely clean. It's owned/ run by the vet clinic next door, so if anything happens, I have the peace of mind by knowing there are vets nextdoor to help.
Horrible experience . I was out of town and my 80 year old mom and 81 year old aunt had to join me. They where manipulated, no written estimate nothing. Bill first started at $1800 . I contacted the owner, his immediate response was his business was with my mom not me. My dog got kennel cough, a severe eye infection even though they supposedly gave Jackson the vaccine for kennel cough. Then they almost gave my mom the wrong dog upon her return.
The only place my dog likes being boarded at. He's typically shy and reserved and doesn't like strangers but when we walk into Tail Haven he runs up to the staff and gives them licks. I can't recommend them enough, they really seem to care for your furry friend. I board here with 100% confidence knowing that my dog is in the best hands.
A friend recommended TH to me for some last minute daycare while visiting the Bay. What a gem. I wish there was something on par with this in LA. Staff is so caring, warm, friendly, clearly love the dogs and offering a great gift to the community. The owner Matt and staff member Steven took loving care of my girl Remi. This is the place to entrust your four legged family members.
We've dropped our cattle dog Pete for day care & weekend boarding at Tail Haven and been very happy with the care he gets. I like that it's a very secure facility since I know he managed to sneak out when I boarded him at a dog walker's home a few years ago and I was so worried. Thanks, team Tail Haven! Update 11/22/18 - Pete the pup is also trimming down a little, which will make our vet happy! It's been such a blessing to be able to take him for a couple days of fairly indoor playtime during all the bad air days from the Camp Fire. We were all getting a bit of cabin fever at home. Update 6/2019 - Pete's gotten a lot more confident with the staff at Tail Haven petting him, and we got compliments from the vet on how much better he is about his annual exam there. So glad we have a great place for him to spend some days while we're at work or away.
I have a Great Pyrenees, who is a total love, but a lot of work. The staff at Tail Haven always treats him with such patience and love. Julia, Brian and the rest of the staff make me feel so at ease when I’m at work or traveling and he is in their care. I couldn’t recommend Tail Haven more!
The staff at The Tail Haven Hotel & Day Lounge are so helpful and kind. Both Lili and Mat offered such great customer care when I was looking for daycare for my dog. Lili took the time to get me set up in the system when I called and had a daycare request to make with short notice for the next day. Mat was also very helpful in sharing about my dog's time during the in-take/observation appointment. Thanks, Tail Haven!
Our dog loves it. He's small and defensive of his owners, but is at ease in this place. He plays with the other small dogs and is friendly with the workers. They say he is well behaved when there, just as he is at home. Plays all day and sleeps when tired, but you wouldn't know it when he's home.,. Passed out.
Our canelo bear had the best time . Love how they take photos of the dogs everyday to show families ❤️
***Update 3/27 *** Pictures are being uploaded again! :) _______________________________________ Wish the San Rafeal site uploaded pictures again... We where told we'd have pics during the holidays, but we didn't receive any. But other than that, this place is amazing, my pup is always so happy! Not like WAG Hotels where he looked so sad and super ready to dash out of there! The tail Haven is a great place with great staff for your pup! This is definitely our permanent boarding place :)
I have no doubt that my dog was well-cared for on his recent stay but I was distressed that when I picked him up he stank of dog urine so badly that I needed to take him immediately for a $17 bath. My dog is 7 and has boarded since he was a pup. There was only one other time that I had this experience in Baltimore and was told that other dogs were peeing on him. I hope this wasn't the case here but I don't have another explanation.
I just can't say enough good about this place. My dogs were well taken care of but just as important my worry wort partner was so afraid that one of our three Keeshounds was not doing well that he actually booked a flight from Montana so he could check on her. Nuts right? Well the staff here stepped up to the plate and made sure that we got a few extra pics of Rosie smiling and having fun and allowed him to relax and trust the staff to do their jobs. No place is perfect but I trust The Tail Haven to care for and protect our dogs they were happy and healthy when we picked them up and that's good enough for us.
Two Rock dog ranch is our go.to.place to board our Australian Cattle dog. He loves his time there and always comes home clean and happy.
One of the best dog boarding places we've ever used. The doggos are excited to get into the yard and sometimes it's hard to get them to leave. Very caring staff. We use them for vacation boarding as well as daycare. Easy drop-off and pickup. I always feel like they're as safe at Two Rock as they are at home.
Two Rock's dog daycare service is really top notch. Our lab leaps with joy when we tell him he's going to Two Rock! The dogs are well supervised and they can play as well as come and go inside and outside at will. The inside of the facility has large industrial fans for hot days, and heaters and a wood burning stove for cold days. Clean indoor lounge spaces with quilts make it just like home. You can ask them to bathe your dog during their visit, which is very convenient. There's grass and turf to play on, not dirt/mud or harsh gravel. The facility is very well maintained and ultra clean. There are many good things to say about Two Rock Dog Ranch, but the wonderful, friendly and caring staff are really the best feature. My dog runs to meet them at drop off, and that's the ultimate testimonial.
Our 13 yo collie has been going here for years. It’s a lovely facility with friendly, helpful staff. They listen carefully to the feeding/med instructions and give him a bath before he comes home. Well worth the cost!
Awesome place for dogs. Our Maggie has been going there for almost 10 years now and our younger pup, Taswell for 2 years. Day care and overnights, we know they will receive lots of attention, play, love and extraordinary quality care. Everyone working at 2Rock is friendly, experienced, knowledgeable and they genuinely care about your dog...and you. I know when I leave my pups for a couple of hours or several days, they are in a safe, clean, comfortable, reliable and loving care facility. I don't worry. Well done Sue and Richard Harris. Thank you Two Rock for decades of stress free vacations.
We took our mini-aussie dog to '2 Rock Dog Ranch' a couple weeks ago for an evaluation. They have impressive looking facilities. They only accept dogs with no behavioral issues. Her only behavioral issue is she sometimes has leash aggression when she sees other dogs. We have taken her to Dairy Dell for boarding and day care and she had no problems. We were told to leave our dog alone in the car while we were given a tour. Following the tour they immediately, with no familiarization period, took our dog away to see how she did. Five minutes later they came out and said our dog was sitting in a corner looking upset and not mixing with the other dogs. A few minutes later they brought her back out and said she was not going to work out and we need to take her somewhere to socialize (our entire reason for going there in the first place). So going from being left in a hot car (windows down) while owners disappear into a facility followed by being taken by the leash, with zero meet-and greet, and tossed into the slammer with a bunch of unfamiliar dogs is supposed to immediately result in a happy, playful, worry free dog in less than ten minutes? She is now going to another dog care facility in Petaluma and is doing just fine.
Two Rock is a great place for dogs! Running room, no indoor time outs, no ware housing. Love the staff and owner. Best dog care ever!
Love Two Rock Dog Ranch. We've gone to others that are closer to us but we've decided to drive the extra miles to take our boys there. They are friendly and you can tell they love our dogs. We also like that they keep them separated by age and size.
My dog drags me in here every time I drop him off. He loves it. And it is the first Daycare or Kennel he has liked. Plus the staff is honest about how he was during the stay. The report card and photos are nice, but nothing proves it was much as his reaction every time we pull in.
We have taken our dog here for many years. They are always very attentive and alert us immediately if anything appears abnormal. I recommend this to anyone who lives in the area and needs to board their dog. Well worth the 30-45 minute drive from Southern Marin!
I was visiting from out of town and staying with a friend who had cats. We boarded our dog Rosie here overnight. Natalie was kind and gentle with our sweet doggie and obviously has lots of experience caring for animals. I would bring Rosie here again. 🙂 …
I have tried Country Inn 2 times and have been very impressed by the care and concern of the staff. They are very dependable. They offer their own food and keep the dogs apart, which was very important for me as my dog doesn't do well with other dogs. They let them out in the sun frequently, when the weather permits and dogs also have a little outside area they can walk to from their kennel that gives them access to the sun.
The staff was exceptional during the devastating wine country fires! They boarded and fed our Coonhound and would not accept any payment. Thank you for helping us!
Excellent care, always we leave our dog with them, is the best place I widely recommend it. Always we are really satisfied with the friendly environment and staff ,our dog maroto is properly care.
Natalie and her staff are on it and caring. Used them for our dogs for 20 years… trust and confidence as well caring.
Love love love. Besides loving the staff they are the only ones who can get my husky cleaned.
Great experience very profesional
So good with my dog teddy
Jake is now over a year old and as a puppy he’s struggled a lot with reactivity. His main issue is meeting new people, especially if I’m around. We’ve taken him to dog parks which was fine up until recently, as he’s gotten older he’s become more guarded with me and had even shown some odd aggression with dogs at the dog park . My last resort was somehow taking me out of the equation which resulted me to doggy day care. Me and Jake were extremely nervous as he doesn’t do well in new environments. He’d cry the whole way there and even beg for me not to leave him. Now, he doesn’t even look back to say bye to me anymore. His reactivity towards people is still very much there but this group of staff have been so patient with him and he’s now come to love being there with him. We even did a night of boarding! I can’t thank them enough for all they do for him. He’s still able to enjoy socializing with his dog friends and gets to be around other people which warms my heart! Thank you all!
Play Dog Play is absolutely the best! They love my dogs, and ask how my day was when I come for pick up. If I have questions or info I feel they need about my dogs, they give me their undivided attention and inform their whole staff. They were more helpful than I could have hoped for when I had a true family emergency. I will never go anywhere else.
We helped our beloved Pavlov cross the rainbow bridge today, and after our plans for her last swim fell through, we called Play Dog Play and asked if we could use their pool for our dogs last wish. Not only did they say yes with no hesitation, but they were welcoming, kind, and gave us some memories that we will cherish forever. Thank you for your compassion and kind hearts in our last hours with our very best friend. On another note I’d like to mention the facility was clean and in good repair. The staff and owners were caring and wonderful with the dogs, I would recommend friends to their facility.
One of the biggest nightmares that can happen to a dog owner occurred to me. While traveling overseas, one of my dogs got sick (not Play Dog Play's fault) during their stay. I can't thank PDP enough. They couldn't handled it better; within minutes they took my baby to the vet and provided the best care. The owner had him stay with him, so my dog got the rest he needed. The entire team truly cares about dogs, and I can't recommend them enough. Hector, the owner, followed up after my return to hear if my dog was ok. Luckily my dog is fine ~ I'm shocked to read that some reviewers had a non-positive experience with the new owners; they have been nothing but lovely and very caring. Thank you again!
Hector, Linda and staff are amazing. Kind, passionate about caring for dogs and very professional. Also very knowledgeable. I highly recommend!
The absolute BEST!!! They love all the dogs and treat them as if they are their own. My dog goes for daycare and overnight boarding. They have options and one of them is for my dog to sleep in the bed with the human staying the night. He loves it!
Great service from the really super people that operate it. Our dog has enjoyed going there for the past 4 years for daycare + multi-night boarding and we trust them implicitly.
Amazing staff, great facilities, happy dogs. I literally begged them to accept my dog as a pup, she passed her assessment and now looks forward to any visit at PlayDogPlay.
Great place. Everyone is very caring and nice
We have been bringing our puppy here regularly since 2011. They are like family to us and I am pretty sure Mya likes it better here than at our house. John and Molly run a great operation and we feel so fortunate to have found them. It is fantastic to have a safe, clean and reliable place to leave our 4 legged family member when we go out of town.
Very responsive and kind staff. We used Planet Canine for 2 days while traveling and working in Bay Area. Our dog was comfortable and had good time.
Our dogs love Planet Canine!! The owner and staff show incredible kindness and care towards all their canine companions! After trying a few kennels in the area, we are so glad our neighbors recommended this gem! It’s hard for us to leave my furry family members when we go out of town, but we know that they are well taken care of at Planet Canine and get plenty of time to socialize and run around.
Planet Canine is my dog’s home away from home . Sully was lonely and was experiencing separation anxiety . I interviewed numerous places and I feel fortunate we found Planet Canine . He attends daycare Monday through Friday . Steve, James and Jordan are amazing people . I have no doubt they love Sully and have become part of our family . Sully’s anxiety has decreased and he adjusted well .How do I know ? As soon as I turn into the driveway he is so excited . He can’t go inside fast enough . Thank you so much for helping us . You are our hero’s .
Allow me to begin by saying that I am extremely protective of my 3 1/2 year old Sheepadoodle, Elio. I don't have children, so my dogs become in a sense my "children". I think some of you can relate to that. I have been bringing him to Planet Canine since he was a young puppy 4-5 days every single week for daycare. I would not be such a dedicated and loyal customer of Planet Canine if I didn't trust the staff and facility implicitly. I pulled him out of a nearby competitor before coming to Planet Canine because of a mishap that occurred between Elio and another aggressive dog, so I wouldn't hesitate to do the same if Planet Canine weren't a top level business. Every member of the staff care deeply and genuinely about every dog they welcome to daycare and boarding. They don't accept just any dog, but put each through a behavioral analysis before accepting them. They even have an outdoor space, unique to doggie daycare facilities that are in the heart of a city (as opposed to in the country). So what if you have to make an appointment to tour the facility? That way they can plan around their daily routines for caring and overseeing the dogs. It gives me tremendous comfort to know that my dog is their top priority when under their supervision and responsibility. He can't wait to get out of the car every morning to run into Planet Canine which says everything I need to know about what goes on behind the scenes. And imagine how may day is lifted when I'm at work and I receive a video of Elio having the time of his life playing in the courtyard! I would not write this review if I didn't stand by every word I've written. Thank you Steve, Jordan, James, Ian, and the rest of the amazing staff at Planet Canine for loving Elio.
Great experience! Staff was so nice and easy to communicate with. My 2 dogs stayed for 10 days. They came home healthy, happy and tired.
I have left my dog in their care several times here during the past year! He always comes back fairly clean and on a relaxed mood. They separate bigger dogs from smaller ones, but also separate high energy dogs from more chill/ lower energy ones. They constantly will send video updates of my dog every 2-3 days overall I would recommend it!
Friendly staff. That’s their blessing. Update: They are very disorganized. You speak to one person & get an answer. And a day later you get a completely different answer from a different person. They were completely unaware of each time I dropped off my pups. They also leave your dogs unattended for extended periods of time. How do I know this? My pup, now 1 years old is apparently not allowed back to their facility because she dug up their turf. Really? The only times she ever does this is when she is left alone for more than a couple of hours. I have an older dog that wasn’t really a fan of staying there. Not sure what kind of care they truly provide behind closed doors. Btw, when we picked up our pup we were told everything was great until the next time we tried to book & were told no because the owners couldn’t allow her back to rip up their turf more… thank you.
Had to find a new kennel for the 4th of July holiday after my regular one closed unexpectedly, and chose Planet Canine based on reviews I read online. I am beyond satisfied with the facilities, the staff, and how much my pup enjoyed his stay. I liked that the application was detailed, the facility tour was thorough, and the staff experienced. Will definitely board my dogs here again.
Hands down the best doggie daycare in Marin County. The ONLY place my dog is excited about going to. She used to go to other doggie day care places in Marin County. She was always unhappy to go to them--we often had to bribe her with treats to even get out of the car--and incredibly happy when we came to pick her up. At Planet Canine, she is actually EXCITED to go there! It's the best feeling to know your pet is not only being taken care of, but LOVED. Highly, highly recommended.
Our dog absolutely loves it here, great people!
Don’t board your dogs here! We scheduled our 2 pitbull mixes over Christmas for 2 nights. They required us to bring them in to get acclimated to the place which is fine. We asked them to not put them with other dogs just because animals can be unpredictable and we just want them to be safe. We told them one of our dogs can be sensitive to sound and she has been reactive in the past. We picked them up from the play day and they told us they were with employee dogs and it went very well. I was happy it went well but they never asked if that’s ok. I brushed it off…. We drop them off again for their Christmas stay and asked them to only let them play with employee dogs since it went very well and NO GROUPS! We come to pick them up after their stay and we find out they have been put in a group without our permission! Luckily everything went fine with that but one of our dogs came back with hives on her neck which we will have to take her to the vet for and my other dog was bleeding from one of his nails being cut too short. The front desk lady refunded me $50 for one of their baths. I called back and asked to talk to the owner James to share my experience and he just told me to sum it up that that’s their specialty integrating dogs, that he would talk to the staff and that he was sorry. He gave me absolutely no resolutions no discount for next time ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
It’s a dogs life is an amazing place to take your dog. I have brought my dogs here for about 3 years. They have lots of out door room for your dog to get that out side play they need. One of my dogs does not always like every dog and they fit to her needs very well. They have always treated my dogs as their own. There is always a family feeling when you drop your dog off which I love. I will always bring my dog back.
We took our dog here for boarding Mid April 2024 and it was a terrible experience. We started out optimistic. The front desk person was kind and the people who worked there seemed to enjoy the dogs but that was the extent of our good experience. Our dog is a 95 pound headstrong guy. He takes to certain types of dogs (easy going females) and dog people. Well we took him there for boarding while we went on vacation. He was boarded for 4 nights. We told the front person that he can get a little grumpy sometimes in situations that he doesn't feel like he is in control. They seemed to understand but I guess they just brushed off our advice. While we were on vacation no one called us so we assumed no news is good news. When we went to pick him up we found out that he had to be isolated because he was grumbling at people and only took to one of their handlers. They charged us extra for the isolation that they called "dog run" they didn't explain what that was when we went to pick him up. Their website specifically says "no hidden charges." What a lie. He was also scheduled to get a nail trim but they didn't follow through stating that he was too grumbly. When we scheduled said nail trim they told us they wouldn't have any issue doing it and they could handle dogs with his temperament without issue. The woman at the front that was telling me about these extra charges didn't take any responsibility for the way they treated our dog or for the fact that no one called us to inform us he was unhappy. I would have approved any additional charges if it would have helped him. We could have offered some tips and advice had they informed us what was going on. For 4 nights and 5 days we thought everything was fine and he was having a good time. When we went to the back to pick him up he was in a cage on their patio. He looked miserable and terrified till he saw me. When I put his leash and collar on (for some reason they remove the dog's collars for boarding which I assume added more anxiety to my dog) he couldn't get out of there fast enough. He ran through their building, out the front door, and immediately jumped into our car. He curled into a little ball which is a hard task for a near 100 pound dog to do. He was reclusive and cautious at home for several days after he got home. He seemed super fearful anytime we left the house and this dog isn't afraid of much. I certainly will never take my dog to this boarding ever again. If you love your dog I would suggest looking into a different boarding option for your buddy.
I guess the people who have left positive reviews don’t really care about their dog’s wellbeing. We started noticing the difference in what it used to be to now more so recently and then had an absolutely awful experience with an employee named Ingrid. It was made worse by her dismissive attitude after what happened and it started to make a little more sense later when my wife found some of her hateful comments on social media posts about certain breeds of dogs. Anyone who is considering entrusting this place with the care of your dog, just make sure that it isn’t on her list of dogs she hates or else they may be neglected due to her personal biases that keep her from doing her job.
It’s a dogs life does such a great job with our dog! He has boarded here several times for about a week and also a few long weekends. The staff are always laid back but very knowledgeable and caring - our pup seems to have a great time here! The grooming is also the best that we have found in the Petaluma area. What I also really appreciate is that they don’t nickel and dime you so that your pup can play with other dogs, get fresh air / potty time or if they need to have medication administered. It’s just a great stay for my dog all around and we appreciate the staff for that!
They have a very clean kennel. Lots of people dropping off and picking up there dogs. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. It was great to see their products are made in the USA!
My dog loves this place and so do I! They are very knowledgeable and caring about all the animals. I have a frenchie who has special needs (like all frenchies do) and they do everything to accommodate! lol! Thankful for this spot!
We’ve been bringing our dogs here for about 10 years and have loved it so much even after moving further away, we still try to bring them here. Our dogs look forward to coming and we have such peace of mind knowing they’re at a safe and clean boarding that really takes good care of them.
Took our dog here for an assessment before we go on vacation. This place has lots of space outside for the dogs and seems like a top notch, and safe place to have your pet stay for extended amounts of time.
We have used It’s a Dog’s Life for about two years. The quality has gone down recently. We have a dog that has seizures and is on medication for them. He requires 1.25 pills with breakfast and dinner. On our second to last visit, when we picked up the dog there was a .25 pill left in the bottle. Since this hasn’t been an issue in two years, we didn’t really think of it as a huge issue or something that would happen going forward. Most recently, when he was picked up, there was an entire dose left in the bottle. Around 5 hours later, he had a pretty severe seizure. This is unacceptable. When asked if he was fed and medicated the checkbox by medicated was unchecked. There is a gap in procedure adherence that could end up killing someone’s pet. Update: They have implemented a new process and have offered me two complimentary nights to mark up for my distress.
