I can’t say enough good things about Tami and her team! My husband and I were in town for a conference and needed a daycare solution for our chihuahua. Tami is so warm and friendly, and you can tell she is just an expert with dogs ! She even went above and beyond and got us a solution for daycare when one of the conference days fell on a holiday. We felt so good knowing our boy was in good hands.

The groomer did a fantastic job and exceeded our expectations. The staff is friendly and truly enjoy working with animals

Our Bobbi went to get her nails done today and has an appointment for spa day in February. Let's just say that Bobbi is not a fan of having her nails done but today she made a friend in Kayden. My first service with Friends Fur Life today was a nail trim for my pup with Kaden. My pup is anxious and hates having his feet touched. Kaden handled him so kindly and confidently and did a fantastic job trimming him up! Booking the appointment online was easy, Kaden was friendly, understanding, and accommodating and the price is on par with other groomers. 100% will return again. Excellent facility, Tami!

We needed a place for our dogs as we were travelling to nearby Oak Lake for a family gathering. The owner was super accommodating. The dogs had such a fun time and were well cared for. We were so impressed we brought them back for a second day so we could visit a The Daly House museum in Brandon. Staff is great and they really made the dogs feel at home.

I can not say enough amazing things about Friends Fur Life! Tammy (and her wonderful staff) treat every single customer and pup like family and its incredible. They go out of their way to do the absolute most for your fur baby! My little girl has been going full-time for months now and I cant imagine what I would do without them <3 very grateful and appreciate for everything they do. We had our pup Maggie's first groom with Alex and it was spectacular. Although Maggie was slightly nervous being a first timer, the team were calm and accommodating to her and she left looking so wonderful! The whole experience from booking to leaving was amazing with so many sweet little touches, like the welcome board noting Maggie's groom! Shaggy Maggie is looking forward to her next visit.

Dr. Nichols provided outstanding care when my cat developed symptoms of an eye infection in the afternoon. He was the only vet in Brandon who could see us on the same day (I called all of them…). He thoroughly examined and treated my cat, flushing his eye and giving us the right medication. His expertise and willingness to help were greatly appreciated. Highly recommend for urgent veterinary needs!

Everyone at the Paw has been awesome to our dogs, always friendly and supportive. The dogs LOVE hanging out and playing with everyone and get very excited when we turn up the drive. We are very lucky to have the facility and caring staff for our pups!!

So lucky to have the multi-service The Paw Resort in our city! Our Tipper is able to board when needed and ADORES the engaging activities offered in daily playcare. She has groom & de-shed appointments every 60 days and the friendly staff keep her coat healthy and looking great. She even got her photo taken with Santa there! We are always treated royally at The Paw 👑!

I have taken my corgi to The Paw for just over 7 years. I have always left with a happy and well groomed dog. I trust the team whole heartedly and would recommend anyone take their animals there. Mine is a bit of a brat when it comes to his nails and they always do an amazing job.

We use the Paw to board our dog and she loves it. We’ve done a few longer stays (up to 12 days) over the past few years and we know we can trust them with keeping her looked after, safe and happy. You can add on nail trims, grooming etc as well as many a la carte options. We really like how they have play care as our dog loves to socialize with other dogs and we know it can be done here in a safe environment. We can’t recommend them enough. Thank you!

My mom Terri (who doesn’t have a Gmail account to leave a review) called late Sunday afternoon because her senior cat was quite sick. Dr. Nichols called her back right away and told her to bring the cat down. He was able to assure her that her cat was okay for the time being and to get him to his regular vet the following day for a more thorough look into what was going on. Terri & Taz thank you very very much!

The Pawresort is a favourite of mine. All the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. It is a beautiful location and has a lot of dog-friendly features. I’ve taken my dog here for grooming a number of times and she always looks great! She’s also very well cared for during her visit and the staff works hard to make sure she’s comfortable.

We recently got a standard schnauzer puppy. We’ve been taking him to puppy and fundamental classes - and it’s been fun for everyone and we learn very useful tools for training him to be a nice family pet. We also utilize playcare - which has been a lifesaver for all of us! We have piece of mind knowing he’s in a supervised playgroup burning off energy and learning how to play with other puppies. He comes home tired, never smelly and they send us adorable photos of him with his new friends! I don’t know how they do it - but the staff is amazing! Thank you for taking such good care of our little man! We would not go anywhere else!

Myself and my partner chose Grasslands to help us with our reactive rescue child Bash. In one-on-one classes with Kyle, Bash has come so far with his anxiety and how he copes with it and most importantly he was able to teach us how to properly and effectively train it to a manageable level. Bash also goes to playcare as regularly as we can afford and he always leave mentally and physically worn out. We are grateful for this!! We have also had Bash groomed (nails and a deshed) and couldn’t have been happier with the results. Kyle and the team always seem so happy to see Bash and he is always so happy to see them too. We couldn’t be more appreciative of the services they offer for our community.

Thanks for taking care of my Louie. Great touch having a pool for my golden retriever plus he got to play with three other retrievers and a few labs which is awesome. I use to be able to travel a lot before Covid but have not been out of the North since Nov so my 2 year old golden hasn’t been around people or his fur dog friend much so thank you so much for giving him a great day!!

I cannot say enough good things about Grasslands. I’ve been taking my dog to both grasslands and grassroots since he was a puppy. The professionalism and service that the staff provides is phenomenal. I have a super high energy dog and he is sooo tired for a good day and a half after visiting grasslands. The staff provides many excellent enrichments activities for the dogs, tiring them out both physically and mentally. I really appreciate the extra training that they provide during the day. My dog is always super excited to go to grasslands. You can tell that the staff loves your dogs as if they were their own. I recommend grasslands 100%! Kyle, Alyssa, and the team are the best out there!!

The folks at Grasslands are absolutely fantastic and take superior care of our pup, Winnie. He is always excited to play with the other dogs and staff. He enjoys all of the training games throughout his day. Winnie plays hard and gets such great stimulation when he is in the care of the staff at Grasslands. He comes home exhausted at the end of the day and we know he has been well cared for. We also enjoying seeing posts on social media throughout the day to see what Winnie and all the other dogs are doing. Thank you for the excellent care shown to all the puppers!

I have been taking my dog Oakley here for a few months now and cannot say enough good things! I was initially very nervous as he is leash reactive and has a poor introduction with other dogs (very in their face and excitable) and after the first day I was told they had no problems and that he did great! As I continued to take him here for daycare every week I have noticed his introduction and reactivity has gotten significantly better. They do training with the dogs during the day and well as other activities, during the down time they give the dogs frozen stuffed kongs to keep them busy. He is always so excited to come here and SO tired after the full day with them. Highly recommend!

Alyssa and Kyle have shown how doggie daycares can and should be run. First with grassroots and now grasslands. They have changed how doggie daycares in Brandon are run. By offering their clients a rotation of daily activities and greater supervision they caused others to change to meet their clients needs. They are proactive and communicative with their clients and are happy to offer advice and training help with different classes and daily training with their daycare dogs. Their are my first suggestion for anyone looking for a daycare or training help.

Took my dog here on Tuesday and he was bitten by another dog and the owner decided not to tell me about it so I discovered it when I got home. My dog had to be taken to the vet and left with a hefty medical bill. I have tried to contact grasslands multiple times and they do not answer or return my messages. I eventually did get to speak to Kyle and he said “the dog that bit him is way smaller than him and is a regular dog that comes here” completely disregarding my dogs injuries and blaming it on my dog playing with a ball?!?! To be clear my dog did not hurt the other dog in anyway whatsoever and they have done nothing to make this right. Would not reccomend to anyone unless paying for an unnecessary vet bills and having your dog be hurt is what you look for in a daycare. Super unprofessional. Update: my dog has now been banned to come back to the daycare for playing with a ball, while the dog that bit my dog will be having 0 further consequences (obviously because it is a dog that goes there regularly and they cant lose a customer) incredibly poor customer service skills from Kyle the owner who took a week to get back to the issue that him and his staff covered up and then began swearing on the phone. He then blamed me for not seeing the injuries when we picked him up. (Had to remove pictures of injuries for being too graphic for google) Pretty odd you receive 2 five star ratings right after I leave that review, almost as if you wrote the reviews yourself. The injury was found the night of quit lying to make your company look good, and also biting a dog who is playing with a ball is not acting accordingly, take some ownership and accountability. And by the way it was $230 for everything another poor lie from you kyle. Pathetic excuse of a “daycare”. This could’ve been avoided if you simply told us that our dog was bitten but you couldn’t even handle the bare minimum. Seems Kyle can’t remember much as he also couldn’t remember to get one of his staff members to call us back for a week while he wasn’t at work like any owner would normally do

We used Grasslands for one on one trining for our dog when he was a puppy. It was great to be able to have the whole family come to learn from Kyle. He was able to give us some tricks so our small daughter could help with training exercises safely. 10/10 recommend. Every dog family should take advantage of this awesome training facility!

Have been taking my high energy dog for past 2 years. He is excited to go every time. Love that the dogs are 100% supervised with a great ratio of staff who train, play, and engage with the dogs. We reached out for individual training as were unsure how to approach our dogs excessive enthusiasm with visitors. We had company over last week who now raved over the change in our dogs behavior. Cannot thank Kyle enough for his input.

Sandy did an excellent job grooming my dogs. One of my dogs is a bit shy and when we arrived she was shaking and fearful but Sandy handled her very professionally. Within a very short period of time Sandy sent me a video via text showing two very happy, playful pups -- she obviously took the time to make my shy dog feel comfortable. I am very happy with the hair cut and nail trim and a I would highly recommend.

Sandy has been grooming my boys for the last ten years and has been nothing short of amazing. Buddy and Oakley always leave smelling fresh and looking handsome. Oakley especially enjoys his bonus play time with the daycare doggos. Her compassion for animals is apparent in the hard work she does around our community. Sandy is more than just a groomer, she has become a part of our family. I wouldn't take my boys anywhere else!

Very affordable for the amount of hours that they work/have the animals for. I took my girl there for her first grooming experience and she looked so adorable afterward! The place offered playtime with the other dogs, socialization and even let her get used to her surroundings and other animals! Sandy is the consummate professional. Unfortunately, she sometimes deals with people who don’t bother to cancel and don’t come to their appointments. For this reason she has been forced to charge a minimal fee for no shows. Sandy has decades of experience in dealing with dogs that have behavioural issues. She goes above and beyond to ensure that her grooming clients get the very best job that can be done and will never leave your dog or cat with a grooming that is only partially done. She comes highly recommended as a groomer and a canine behaviour specialist.

Every time I walk by here after work there's poop everywhere! Long after closing. Sometimes for days! Its disgusting and I imagine a health hazard. It can't be good for the animals, those who live close by or people like me who walk past it multiple times per week. Someone should look into this place.

Sandy is amazing! She got my puppy in for a grooming last minute and provided play time and socialization time for her at an amazing price! She also sent text updates to me with pictures and videos of how my fur baby was doing. I will definitely be coming back for more!

Golden acres was great! Super friendly staff who you can tell really love animals. Pick up and drop off times worked really well.

My dogs love it here! As soon as we turn in they know exactly where they are and can't wait to go play! They always come back happy, healthy and the staff are very great and helpful.

this was the worst experience my dogs have ever had!!! We dropped the dogs off we never saw where they were sleeping the front area was messy and stinky after 10 days we picked them up and as soon as I saw my older pup I saw something was wrong I asked what’s wrong with my dog?? he says he’s happy to see you😡he was coughing and his one eye was swollen and red and very goopy , the guy didn’t have the decency to tell me my dog was very sick and never called my emergency number this tells me my dogs were not taken proper care off this place is making me feel very guilty for leaving my pups there and I should not feel this way!!!

Great kennel! The staff are very caring about my pets and I trust them wholeheartedly. Reasonable prices and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure the safety, well being, exercise and feeding needs of my pets are taken care of. You can't find a better place in Brandon to look after your fuzzy buddies than Golden Acres Boarding Kennel!

This year I had to travel a lot and left my two dogs with them. On both occasions, my dogs were very well cared for. It's easy to notice that the staff really enjoys working with dog and are committed to their well being. In one of the occasions, I asked that my dogs were bathed and groomed. They did a wonderful job in both of my dogs, specially my yorkie: she was really cute the day I went to pick here up! Also, my dogs were under their care during January (peak of the winter). They have special care for little dogs and are really good in keeping their walks outside short and keeping the little ones warm. Good job guys and I will definitely come back!

Would highly recommend!!! ... Called on short notice to drop our dog off for the day. Whiskey is usually a hard one to settle in or even eat her food in strange places... Well when we went to pick her up not only was Wade able to give her treats and she ate them, she also ate all her food! She was definitely comfortable and felt like home there. Will forsure be having Whiskey stay there again when we need :)

The staff are super friendly and treat your pet like family! I’ve booked my dog into the kennel quite a few times here and she always comes back happy. The place looks clean and I’ve never had A negative experience.. the only catch is they book up quick on long weeks (book early)!

We’ve taken our dog Barry a few times now, Barry came home so happy after his stay, and they always take such good care of him. Would definitely recommend.

Bamboo is 15months old a Sheltie/Husky and stayed at Golden Acres on several occassions since he was a puppy and he loves to stay there. Wade and Randi has been super good with him. We truly trust our dog with them. Bamboo feels really home with them. We know he is safe and always going to be well look after. We are really grateful guys 😘

Butchered my dogs hair, terrible job. Left long hairs and bald spot above her eye. Cut her paw and didn’t tell me she was still bleeding when I picked her up. Blood all over my seats and centre console. Gave her a chance to make it right but wouldn’t.

I take my mini poodle here to be groomed. They are great at communicating with me and ensuring they understand what I am looking for. I am confident by the atmosphere and way they deal with the other dogs that mine is well cared for. I would highly recommend them both for grooming they use Envirogroom shampoo's and products which is such an amazing product. I can buy it from them too which is also nice.

Frist time using a groomer for our German shepherd. It was a very wonderful experience! I can't thank kassidy enough for going the extra mile for our baby girl. She was incredibly sweet. It did take about 2 hours for her to be finished but I expect thats due to Roxy not enjoying bath time all that much. Will likely be seeing Kassidy in the future from now on :)

My little doggy has the best experience when he goes to Grassroots. He enjoys getting a cut and getting play time with other dogs. He always comes home happy and looking sharp!! Absolutely love Grassroots Grooming! I have been taking my Pyrenees there for years now and have always had excellent service and my pup always looks and smells amazing! The staff are wonderful, caring, and gentle with my dog (who’s a bit needy and about 150 pounds 😂). Kyle always does an amazing job and all the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Pricing is super fair, you get beautiful results, and you know your pet is in great hands! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Our mini poodle went there for grooming until he was to old to handle the fun furry excitement of the place. They always did a great job and we were always confident he was safe and would come home with a great cut. Age has caught up to our old boy and with the loss of sight he can't go hear anymore but we miss the amazing staff and how easy it was to book, drop off, and pick up. Alyssa you have a great team.

I am really happy with my purchase today. I purchased a hamster cage for a budgie. It was a great price and size. I know sounds weird but it's essentially the same thing but more fun ladders and platforms. Which is perfect for this little sweet budgie i have that is a busy girl loves to climb and play She is so pleased with her new home. Only addition i made is a clip on the lower door and it's perfect. Having a top door for a bird to come out is great also!

We took a week long trip and had to board our cat, so we chose pet lovers warehouse. Our cat spent 7 days in the kennel, and was well looked after. The price was incredibly reasonable to board her. The ladies who work there are always so friendly as well.

Very knowledgeable staff. I was in there buying a fish for the first time in years, they answered all my questions and were super helpful and friendly. They also carried everything I needed. Store is fairly big too so lots to see and shop for.

They have an incredible colour diversity in their bettas for purchase! I was ecstatic to see combinations outside of the usual for only $7.99

Our dogs love coming into this store and they like to grab all the tasty treats. Nice selection of dog chews. I like the fish section as they have alot of fish to choose from, I have got most of my chiclids from them.

One star because I can’t just do zero stars. I bought some baby geckos and I was unsure if they were too small so I asked for help and this guy said that I could just feed them bigger crickets… That was the biggest mistake I had done in a while, they became impacted and died, even after I tried to massage them and get help from a vet. I can’t ever find the things i’m looking for, the pets that are sold there looks miserable, starved and sick and they don’t give you true information. Please don’t make the same mistake as I did!

We thoroughly enjoy Brandon Boarding Kennel. Staff is welcomeling upon arrival and accommodating at pick up. Paper work is completed to ensure our pets needs are met, even if medication is required during our pets stay.

Easy booking, usually has a few spots last minute. Did an amazing job of accommodating our pooch who does not do well with other dogs. Each dog has it's own indoor space and separate dog run. Great place!

I had my cats at the boarding kennel over the Christmas holidays. I heard it was a decent place. How wrong were they. When I arrived, the place was quite dumpy looking. Poor quality cages, made of plywood, steal mesh and bared doors. It smelled horrible.If I wasn’t totally committed to my plans, I would have turned around and left. I felt so bad and worried for my cats. When I returned back to Brandon, I went and picked up the cats. The only good thing I can say about that experience was the worker stayed a little late so I had time to get them. When I went into the small room with all the cats there was food spilt all over the floor. That didn’t impress me at all. The worker just stood there, so I had to climb up on the stool to get the cats out of the top cage. I had to ask her to take a cat as I took them out of the cage one at a time. When I brought the cats to the kennel I brought the food for them. When came back the cans of food were just opened and left in the cage, even though I gave the worker feeding instructions. The bag of hard food was sliced across the middle so the hard food would fall out. There was one small litter box for the 3 cats. There was just enough litter in the box the cover the bottom. It was awful. When I drove the cats home the smell on them was so bad it engulfed the whole car. After arriving home I cleaned up the cats. Also I threw away all the toys and pillows I had left at the kennel with the cats. No getting the smell out of them. Even after I got back I felt such guilt for leaving my cats there. Like I wrote earlier, I was given good reviews about the Brandon Boarding Kennels and that’s why I made a reservation there. I was totally committed to this trip, and couldn’t cancel. Never again will I even think about bringing my pets back to the Brandon Boarding Kennel. I’m truly hoping my review will deter others from boarding there pets there. I can’t warn you all enough.

Adopted a puppy that they were fostering for the Southwestern Manitoba Animal Rescue Team and our time at the kennel was a very happy and positive experience. The facilities were very clean and all dogs were snug, healthy, and safe in their areas. The young gal hosting us was lovely and patient and the puppy turned out to be well socialized with both humans and dogs. This is 100% due to the good work of those at the Brandon Boarding Kennel that raised the pups from birth to adoption after 8 weeks. I witnessed nothing but excellent care and love and respect for animals while there ❤️ Would recommend boarding your pooch there for sure!

I'm blown away this place has good reviews. Left my dog for a night on short notice. Picked him up and he had no water bowl, his blanket and toys were soaked in urine, he wasn't given the bone I sent him to chew on, and the staff were extremely impersonable. When I dropped him off it felt like I was bringing a new inmate to prison but turns out it was way worse.

What amazing people. These animals are treated so well… they do what they can having dogs surrendered daily, and relying on what they have to do what they can.. I have been here 4 times in a week, looking at a dog and checking the others out, looked at the cats, the animals are LOVEd And safe.

Not over priced, great facilities, clean, great customer service. No frills, no nonsense, price includes food. Out door runs, grass area for play. Grid road out to place is doggy in spots, alas trust me, I am moving and the places I looked at, do not compare. Accomadated last minute booking for 2 large dogs. Thank you

My dogs are always happy when I pull into the driveway of the "Kennel" No matter the staff, they are welcoming, friendly, polite and helpful. My dogs are always well cared for, and exhibit t no sign of unhappiness. I have full confidence in this business and continue to return again and again. My dogs would say its a place where 'everyone knows your name'.

Love this kennel. Always smells like it's just been cleaned, and staff are great. I'm moving away from the area and will be hard pressed to find a place where I feel my girls will be safe for such an awesome price. Keep up the good work.
