Brenda was referred to me by a friend who was happy with her services and I am so glad she was! All I have to do is say her name and my pup Amber goes crazy with excitement. Brenda is personal and professional and I know she loves each and every one of the dogs she cares for. My dog is exhausted when she gets home from a day of fun, and I have every confidence that my dog is safe and well cared for when she is with Brenda. My dog means the world to me so I didn't want her to be in too commercial of an environment, where she would be left in a large group and could potentially pick up bad habits, so Brendas is perfect as the dogs are in her home where she keeps a close eye on them. My dogs behavior has improved since she has been attending leader of the packs and Brenda is great for giving tips and advice when needed. She knows everything there is to know about dogs. Her warm and kind heart, yet firm leadership make her the perfect leader. The dogs trust her and it's incredible to watch her work with a large group of dogs of all sizes. I would highly recommend her and have done so to friends who now take their dogs there too. My dog will go to brendas for as long as Brenda cares for them, and I hope that will be for a very long time.

My dog Socorro loves to stay with Brenda, Ranger, and the rest of the pack. When I pack up her food and blanket and start heading for Brenda's house, my dog knows the way and breaks out into a run when we turn onto her street. I can totally relax when I am away because I am confident that my dog will be exceptionally well cared for. Brenda sends photos and updates every day from the various "field trips" that the pack enjoys. Brenda is very flexible and understanding: when I had a family emergency this spring Brenda graciously accommodated my dog on very short notice. I very highly recommend Leader of the Packs!!!

I have been using Leader of the Packs Dog Services for 5 years now. Brenda and Ranger have and continue to provide nothing but top notch adventures and fun for our two dogs. Not only is Brenda (and Ranger of course) a great pack leader, she is a wonderful, trustworthy, hardworking, and fun person to work with. Our dogs (and we) both lover her to pieces and they always get excited to get on the move with the pack. I recommend Brenda to anyone who needs anything from daily walks, to boarding, and/or training. Tired puppies are behaved and happy puppies and this is the case every time the pups come home from an adventure with Brenda, Ranger, and the pack!

We went away for 10 days and didn’t want our dog in a traditional kennel. Brenda took such good care of him and sent us pictures of him at least once a day! He was run well and socialized with other dogs. We recommend Brenda without reservation - she is amazing!

We met Brenda (Leader of the Packs) by chance while walking our dog Koda (4 months at the time). Brenda noticed a few of our struggles and offered some great suggestions. We later signed Koda up for a full day once a week with Brenda and haven’t looked back. She shares feedback on his development and is genuinely curious and interested in his progression as he grows up (7 months now). One great example would be Brenda offering us her dog training books (to borrow - I’ll return them soon) to sharpen our knowledge. Her daily updates and photos are a nice touch. The photos are above and beyond. Highly recommended.

Brenda’s dog walking and daycare service is awesome! Our dog Millie goes to daycare once a week and is so exhausted after she just sleeps all night. With my husband and I both working full time it’s great to get a day off from making sure she gets her walks. I have also noticed significant improvement in her behaviour around other dogs when I take her to the dog park. She is so well behaved around them, and is very well socialized. For the (short) time that the dogs aren’t out at the parks during the day they have a beautiful big backyard to play in with tons of dog toys - not some concrete parking lot. Highly recommend sending your pup to Brenda!

Nicole is the best groomer around my dog just loves her so much she is so kind and loving with the dogs. Definitely take your dogs to see her. My dog has been seeing for for a few years and he loves her he gets so excited when I tell him we are going to see Nicole. She is an all around amazing person

Took my 8 year old husky to Calgary Dog House for a bath and brush. That was on Dec 14 and it is almost 2 months later. I was incredibly impressed with the minimal shedding when I picked her up. All my family and friends that know her were also impressed with how long this groom has been keeping her coat from ending up all of their clothes and furniture. The free daycare day added to her groom makes it a no-brainer that I'll continue bringing my husky here for all her future grooming needs!

I am so glad I found Calgary Dog House to be my little guy's new doggy daycare after we moved last year. The dog to staff ratio is much better than at some other doggy daycare facilities. While my little guy enjoys playing with other dogs of all sizes, he is still very much a human-oriented dog. Both Hannah and Lisa ensure Avro gets the human love and attention he so desires. Avro is always happy when I drop him off and pick him up, a sure sign of a great daycare (as he's definitely had a different reaction at daycares that weren't a great fit). I also switched to having Avro groomed at Calgary Dog House. Nicole does an excellent job grooming Avro. It's also nice that daycare is included with his grooming. I appreciate that they also provided advanced notice and the reasoning behind the recent increase in grooming prices. Even at the newer, higher rate, their grooming is still in-line with other groomers in the city. Billie-Jo, the owner, has done an excellent job of creating a great, affordably priced daycare and grooming facility. Highly recommend!

Take my mini Aussie (Odie) there for his monthly grooming/cut/wash. He is always very excited when I get back, and they do a great job for a great price. Very happy with their services.

All the staff: Nicole, Hannah and Lisa were very kind and welcoming. Nicole was a super pro at clipping my dogs claws. She has a calm demenour and quickly and quietly clipped all four paws. They were super affordable and professional!!!

We recently rescued a year and a half old German Shepard who had serious separation anxiety due to being kenneled by their previous owner for 12-14 hrs/day. Any time we need to leave Digs alone for longer than a few hours we take him into Calgary Dog House and he absolutely loves it there!! When we get within a couple of blocks of the daycare he gets extremely excited and cant wait to get in to play with the other dogs. He is a big dog but very social and good with other dogs! Good prices, amazing staff and a great atmosphere for Digs! Thank you for the great service and treating my boy like your own. Cheers!

I want to thank this incredible team! No one else has groomed Allegra as well as them. They’ve also been very flexible with the changes I make with my booking. I am so grateful that they are able to provide her day care on the day of her grooming appointment. I’ve been able to drop her off before work and pick her up after. I doubt anyone gets that luxury anywhere else. 5 ⭐️ for this A Team.

My dog has been coming here for the past few months, she is always greeted with a smile & has a fantastic time every time! Got her groomed last week, they asked all the right questions and even asked about previous grooming history/temperament! Very impressed with their customer service & services they provide! I had been bringing my dog here for years and the level of service has completely diminished. We brought our two dogs in for their nail trims this morning after being rebooked twice because the previous groomer quit, which should have been the first red flag. The alternate groomer was 15 minutes late, did not know that our appointments included a dremel, and did a terrible job. We’d intentionally tried to avoid this groomer because she had cut the quick on my dog’s nail so badly at a previous appointment that he was still bleeding after getting home. We left today with no apology, their nails looking the same as when they went in, a $40 bill, and two very anxious pets.

Nicole took such great care of my dog, Archie, this summer when I used the boarding services at Active Furiends! Prior to boarding, they arranged a meet and greet with Archie and they even offered services such as pick up and drop off. They have an app for you to make requests and write down any notes regarding your pet’s schedule and personalities, which was very convenient to set up. During the four weeks of boarding, Nicole sent me daily updates including photos and videos. You could tell how much fun Archie was having by his big smile in every photo and video I received. She is a professional who knows how to keep Archie safe during multiple heat waves. She took Archie out for walks and play time at the park based on the suggested schedule I provided and she handles Archie’s reactivity very well as well. I appreciate her excellent services including her prompt response, the communication was great and easy. I highly recommend using services from Active Furiends as they understand how important pets are to us and they treated Archie like he was a part of their family. As a pet parent, one of my biggest concerns in relation to boarding is that my dog’s personality would change afterwards, but Nicole took such good care of Archie that I do not notice any differences, if anything, he finally learns to drop his ball after a throw! I would definitely request boarding services from them again next time I am away for a trip!

I loved this pet daycare. We were in town for just a short time and found this great place. They met us at the door and created a fun day for our dogs. We appreciated the great pictures they sent throughout the day of our pups having fun. I could tell immediately that she understood the dogs and how much our dogs meant to us. I have been with Nicole since before she started Active Furiends and now several of her employees have provided services for me and my pets! I always know they are in good hands. Using the new app is super easy and I love getting the photo updates of my dogs on their walks!

Lulu & Molly enjoyed their stay with Nicole and Jackie! We definitely had our peace of mind traveling abroad knowing that our two girls are being looked after well by them. Lulu & Molly are happy to become their regular boarders ❤️

Nicole has been amazing with my Great Dane! It’s not always easy to trust someone to walk your extra large dog especially when he is reactive but I feel at ease every time Nicole walks him. She is so gentle and patient with him and I’ve noticed a big difference even when I walk him now! I love that she always updates me pictures when I’m at work! She is also very accommodating with her availability, she’s been there whenever I’ve asked 😊 I can’t thank her enough!!

I was super anxious to leave my two dogs alone for a month while I went away but felt they were in such good hands with Nicole. I received photos and updates. I arrived home to a clean house and two very happy and healthy dogs. I HIGHLY recommend Nicole and will use her again for any future dog sitting :)

I can not say enough good about Nicole. We have used her a few times since moving to Calgary. She is such a wholesome individual and absolutely wonderful with our 3 Frenchies. They are a handful to say the least! Nicole sends us regular updates with photos throughout the day. She treats our boys as her own, I’m never worried when she is with them. Our home is always so neat and tidy when we come back! Nicole goes the extra mile and checks in with us to make sure we have arrived home safely. I would absolutely recommend using Nicole for house sitting or any of your other fur baby needs! Thank you for everything Nicole!

Amazing girl!! Completely accommodating to our last minute needs and were also super accommodating with our time changes for pick up during the day. Pup had a fab day and was so happy there. Will 100% use again when we have the need. Huge thank you for helping us today!

Active Furiends were very accommodating for me and Shadow. The put up with my sudden cancellations , due to the fact I am an avid golfer and would cancel at the last minute because of weather issues. I would highly recommend this group to people. Nicole and Adrian were excellent. “Shadow was very comfortable being with them”. I will definitely approach them next year.

We have relied on Active Furiends on multiple occasions and our experience with Nicole has been exceptional. She is reliable and shows genuine care and kindness towards not only to our two doodles but also our home. We feel at ease knowing our home and dogs are in capable hands!
