Tina was a fantastic house/pet sitter for my cat Trixie - I can’t recommend her enough! She was very communicative and also self sufficient and I felt completely at peace with Trixie in her care. She took it upon herself to water my plants and also trimmed Trixie’s nails, which I always struggle with! She provided perfect company for Trixie, playing with her, brushing her, loving her and giving her daily medicine. She also left my apartment in perfect condition. I would gladly have Tina pet sit again. A 10/10 experience.
Natalie and Christian were dream pet sitters while we were out of the country for 2.5 weeks. From start to finish, they were reliable and professional, with excellent communication. They had took great care of our dog and chickens and left the house and car in great shape. Plus, they’re just a really sweet young couple. We’d highly recommend them as house sitters.
Lindsay and Bryce provided excellent care to our two cats while we were gone. They are great communicators, took amazing care of our apartment and send regular updates and photos so that we knew all was going well. We would absolutely recommend them as responsible and thoughtful pet sitters who can be entrusted with the care of your home and pets.
Rachel was an excellent pet sitter for my cat. She was a good communicator and also kept my place very tidy. She even left me a gift of a bar of chocolate upon her departure! Highly recommend.
Melanie and Steve were excellent house & pet sitters. They sent me so many pictures of my 3 cats without me even asking and it made me so happy to see them enjoying their company. I'd say out of all the house sitters I've had, they spent the most time with my cats which means a lot to me. They are kind, easy to connect with and I'd welcome them back anytime. As far as caring for my house - top notch.
Debra was a Great pet and house sitter !! She communicated well throughout our long trip and sent us frequent pictures of all of our pets. She watered our plants and brought in all the mail. Our home was immaculate when we arrived home and the dogs and cat were super happy !! I would recommend Debra as a wonderful, responsible and reliable pet and house sitter !
Kuldip exceeded all the expectations we had from a Zeewoi. She took over from another sitter when we got stuck out of country due to a family emergency. A highly energetic person yet extremely organized, she easily matched the energy level of my 2-year-old Border Collie Pavo. She not only exercised him multiple times every day, but even him bought him new doggy toys and treats (much appreciated!). She got along very well with our neighbor and with their combined help Pavo got a much needed doggy bath! With her by my dogs side we were worry-free and able to focus on our family needs. Lastly, she left a pleasant surprise when we came back home. Our home looked squeaky clean and beautifully organized. Kuldip is a gem of a pet sitter and we would love to have her back for our fur baby without any hesitation. I highly recommend her!
Laura was amazing with communication from the very beginning. She sent updates of photos and videos without even being told or asked to do so. She was watching our cat and treated her like her own. Laura was also very responsive when we were trying to find a sitter for our dates and answered any and all questions we had about her experience with pets and house sitting. I would recommend her to anyone! :) and hope we can have her house sit again for us.
Jessica was an awesome pet sitter for my cat Fifi. She texted photos and updates everyday so I knew that Fifi was being well cared for. She was communicative and asked a lot of good questions to make sure she understood Fifi's needs. My home was equally as clean (if not more so) upon my return. I would highly recommend Jessica!
For our first experience with a house sitter, Jim and Julie have set the bar high. We felt totally confident that any issues would be dealt with, fortunately there were none. They were outstanding house and pet sitters whom we would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone. They took exceptional care of our house full of pets from 2 large dogs, 3 cats, snake, gecko, fish tank and a koi pond. They provided updates daily, were very easy to communicate with and the house was just as clean as when we left it, with the addition of a nice welcome home gift. We knew our pets were in good hands. Thank you for everything. Melissa and Kyle

I was at wits end with my stubborn Frenchie puppy and his potty training (or lack there of). I contacted James Todd and he had an opening for my pup in just a few days. It was a long two weeks without our sweet boy, but it was the best choice we've made! Hank has only had one accident since his return a week and a half ago (versus multiple "accidents" a day prior to training.). He is so much more obedient overall and we are thrilled with his progress. I highly recommend Mr. Todd and his program!
Our 8 months old golden retriever puppy, Luna, was and is so full of energy but she was creating some bad habits on the leash and when meeting or seeing new dogs. We booked her for a 2 week board and train with James and that helped us so much when we had her on the leash and with her new commands. We were still having issues with her seeing other dogs in public and ask for James to meet with us again and help. He saw that she still needed a little more help and took her right back. She is now where she needs to be when she is with us out and about. They took such good care of her and couldn't stress enough they wouldn't take the puppy out of her. She is her joyful, silly, princess little self but with better manners. Thanks again James and Ashley.
Main Street Dogs is a miracle worker. Our furry baby Powder is a puppy with stubborn tendencies. 11 months of energy, love and bad habits that were started before we got him were alleviated after Main Street Dogs trained him over the 2 weeks. It was a time for us to have downtime and know that Powder was in excellent hands. Phenomenal customer service. We called throughout his stay and were pleasantly surprised. Wonderful!!!!! Powder is a new pup now!!!!
This is the best place I have ever taken my dog to...they do a great job. Took my boy to the vet the next morning and said the groomer did a great job even down to cleaning his ears. Thanks for doing a great job!!
James and his staff are awesome! James has trained all three of our Canaan dogs, and he has been a master at his job. We have been very pleased with his skills and the end results. We highly recommend him and Main Street Dogs for all your needs.
Amazing establishment and staff. I highly recommend any service this company has to offer. We will definitely be using Main Street Dogs in the future! 5 stars, chef’s kiss, top notch!
Long story short I wanted to find a good person that's going to take care of my pup and trust me.... I've went through, unfortunately bad times and, this company is the best. They really truly care about your pup and they do a good job. I'm so excited about this company. I've used them several times now.
This DOGGONE place was PAWfect! We will be back! The registration process with Jolene was vital and the service from Olivia was impressive. The checkout was outstanding with Kyle.
An amazing company for you to send your dog to get the correct training my dog is 3 yrs old and he went for the 3 week program and let me tell you a dog that is changed all around amazing . People very kind, nice, knowledgeable and communication was excellent Thank you Todd’s k9 training
They are well experienced and took great care of my dog while he was boarded with them for a week. I would highly recommend.
Lisa and Mike are absolutely wonderful! We got two GR puppies in the last five years from them. I don’t know how and what they do but our babies are so smart. Both were easily housebroken, well adjusted so quickly. Amazing loving personalities. When we are ready, we are going back to Lisa and Mike.
We got our yellow lab here and the Perry's take pride in the pups and the parents are on premises so you can see them. Great place for your furry friend.
Went with my son and daughter in law to get a retired female. Welcome to the family Lucy formerly Bobby Socks
I love my puppy and so does everyone else. He comes to work with me and is now my emotional support animal (ESA).
Very nice people. Got our Golden puppy and she is well cared for. Highly recommend.
This team has been what we consider family for years. The faces might change but the core of there values stands tall. You have to be a true animal lover for this kind of work!! Be it daycare or boarding for family travel, they are top notch !! FYI, the love in that bldg is STRONG AS EVER !!
I have been coming to this place for a few years now and I would love to just say how much better the new manager is doing with this facility. They have special occasions during the month for the daycare dogs and even have treats for the dog parents. Keep up the good work home away from home. Im impressed
My dogs have stayed here multiple times over the last several years, and the staff always talked about how wonderful they were when we dropped them off and picked them up. A couple of the staff the last two times even got in the floor to play with one of our dogs both times we brought them in for drop off. We didn't even make an issue out of one time being boarded one dog came home with kennel cough and the other had a ripped pad on his right front paw, or this past time when we picked them up and one of them had a broken claw on his right rear paw that was so sore he was limping. Now they have decided to let us book our dogs, then call days before we were supposed to leave for a trip to tell us they wouldn't board them anymore due to our dogs' "aggression" and how they make the staff nervous. When asked why they didn't bring this up the last time we picked them up from be boarded for a week, we were told, "Sorry, we have a new manager." When asked why they are just now calling with these fabricated notes when they had been booked for a while, we were told, "Sorry, we have a new manager." When we then accused them of doing it because of the breed, they didn't even try to deny it, and they again told us, "Sorry, we have a new manager." Never again will we do business with such an untrustworthy establishment.
Love this place. The Doctors and Staff truly love pets and are wonderful to work with. They take the time to answer all your questions and concerns. My pet loves them.
I'm way overdue on writing a review for this place. It's spectacular and I'm so glad we found it. We moved to the area earlier this year and were looking for a new boarding/daycare facility. When I called the first time, they spent at least 30 mins answering all my questions and talking me through their policies and procedures. I showed up unannounced a few days later and they gladly gave me a tour of their facilities (which is a sign they have nothing to hide). My senior pup wasn't quite a fit for the daycare environment, so they worked with me to set up a day boarding arrangement where she goes each week and hangs out in the kennel for the day so its part of her routine and the staff is familiar with her and vice versa. Recently, I boarded her for a long boarding stay and noticed on the camera that she seemed a bit anxious. I called and spoke with the team. They immediately went next door to talk with her vet (another plus of this place is that the vet is right next door) and worked out a plan to get her additional anxiety meds. The following day, I checked in on the camera and saw a staff member sitting with her in her kennel giving her belly rubs. The rest of her stay was smooth sailing. I could go on and on about how much they love my girl. She loves going to "doggie school" each week and I'm so grateful to find a place that loves her as much as I do.
We've been customers for the last nine years. We brought our shy puppy here and were amazed how he came out of his shell. He gets excited when he knows he is going to daycare. We feel extremely comfortable with the staff who go out of their way to make the pet's time enjoyable. The vet office next door is great peace of mind. All of the little things over the years really add up to a great experience. And even though our new puppy is a handful, the staff looks forward to seeing both of our fur babies. Such a great place for boarding or daycare! They really are family to our pups, truly another home away from home.
The staff is awesome, polite and professional. I started out boarding only and now I have my little guy in day care 2 days a week. Overall, my experience with Home Away from Home has been excellent. My dog seems to love going.
The lady Kathy, who works the front desk is very rude and impolite, and she also treats people of color differently than other customers. It’s almost like she couldn’t be bothered with them
Our Chihuahua, Bill, had a great stay. Everyone was really warm and kind to us upon arrival and when I called to check on him, they were very helpful and gave me a nice report. He was calm and happy when we picked him up. I would definitely recommend Home Away!
I boarded my diabetic cat here for several days and they were great. Very up front with extra charges for meds. They also gave me good info on how he did in their care. It was obvious that they really cared about my cat and all the other pets coming and going.
