I first met Sarah through Sublime Canine puppy classes. She seemed to have a lot of knowledge and a great rapport with dogs. I’ve been sending my Cavalier out for hikes with Sarah for about 18 months now. He gets so excited when I tell him “Sarah is coming” — I know it’s the highlight of his week. She also takes awesome photos of the dogs and regularly posts Instagram videos of their hikes. Highly recommend!
We met Sarah through her puppy socialization class and immediately felt at ease with her as she helped us navigate life with our rambunctious Vizsla. Our dog loves Sarah and looks forward to her weekly walks/ hikes. We feel so lucky to have someone who knows so much about dogs and their behaviour walking our dog. We love that her packs are small and she matches dog groupings based on temperament and energy level. She is the only person we feel comfortable leaving our girl with overnight, we know that she will always meet her needs and keep her in check when she needs reminders. As our dog gets older, we love that she can have structured socialization with a professional who gets dogs and their quirks. The pictures on social media are an added bonus to see what she gets up to! Could not recommend Sarah enough.
We met Sarah 6 years ago when we took Sadie to her first puppy class. She then started going on group hikes with Call of the Wild when she was 6 months old and has been going 3 times per week ever since. There is no one Sadie loves more and no one we trust more than Sarah to keep the pups safe. And an added bonus is the training the dogs get while in her care - recall, learning to wait patiently for treats and not jump and grab. She takes care to bring the dogs to areas where there aren’t a lot of people so they can run and swim and play. Sadie comes home tired and happy. Leaving your dog in the care of someone who is also a highly qualified trainer gives us peace of mind and we honestly highly recommend Sarah and Call of the Wild to anyone looking to give their furry friend awesome off leash adventures!
My Boston is 6 yrs old and Sarah has been walking her since she was 6 months old. I trust very few people with my dogs, especially as my girl can be a bit spicy but Sarah manages her flawlessly. My younger boston also now joins the adventures. Sarah is knowledgeable and trustworthy I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a walker/ trainer.
Buffy has been going out with Sarah for nearly 5 years now. Sarah is great with the dogs and, as others have noted, posts lots of photos and videos of the dogs having a great time on their off-leash walks. All I have to say is "Sarah is coming" and Buffy is at the front door quivering in anticipation. We trust Sarah implicitly with our dog. Thank you Sarah!
We have been customers for more than 5 years and highly recommend. Sarah at Call of the Wild Canine Services provides reliable and expert services. Our dog, Sophie, looks forward to the outings and we feel great that she gets so much off leash and social time in nature with someone so thoughtful about Sophie’s enjoyment and safety.
Sarah has been walking my two doodles for over three years. Not only do my dogs love her, but she posts her walks on IG so I can actually see how much fun they have. I highly recommend her advice and dog walking service.
Watching the joy on my dogs face when he’s out on a group walk with Call of the Wild Canine Services makes my heart sing. Highly recommended’
John and his team at Camp Bow Wow are absolutely amazing. Bruno loves to attend daycare with all his doggy friends. The care he receives is exceptional and I am worry free when he is in attendance. Knowing that I can enjoy my time away from Bruno while he’s enjoying his time, makes a world of difference. I highly recommend this doggy daycare! Thank you to John and staff!
The owner and the staff are amazing! They treat my Cooper like their own & he knows when we turn the corner he’s going to camp with his friends. I never have to worry when he’s there for the day or boarding.
The staff really care about the dogs and their well being. Our rescue was gently introduced to other dogs and looked after. I am looking forward to having my other dog go there.
We cannot find enough words to properly convey the praises we have for Camp BowWow Halifax. The management treats everyone like "family". The "camp counselors", are ALWAYS demonstrating that they are sincerely & genuinely excited to see our little guy, and are very happy to see us too. We just have to say the words..."Camp Bow Wow"....and our dog starts jumping and dancing and races to our front door, then runs to the car, to leave, and go there. If he's that happy, then we're that happy! John & Joanne Kerr ( and Kobi )
Our dogs love Camp Bow Wow, it really is place where a dog can be a dog!! The staff and facility are amazing, hours are great and prices are reasonable. We've used a few since arriving in NS, and in our opinion, it's the best Doggy Day Care in the area!!
Norman loves camp bow wow and you can tell the staff are truly dog lovers. They treat the campers like they're family and Norman is always so excited to see them.
I adopted a ‘bonded pair’ about a year and a half ago. Shortly after I got them I took them to Camp Bow Wow so that they could socialize with other dogs. One of my dogs (Bailey) got sick at daycare. I guess she was stressed from all the changes she had endured, and developed hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. The staff responded immediately and I was notified promptly. Just recently this bonded pair decided that they want to be single. Bailey became extremely attached to me. She would not let Blaze near me, tried to steal her food, and toys. The dogs won’t even tolerate being in the same house without becoming aggressive towards each other. Bailey went to live with my daughter. Camp Bow Wow is proving to be a great help re socializing her. She is learning to trust and interact with the staff, and is actively playing with the dogs there. She is a much happier dog now. I give the staff at Camp Bow Wow a lot of credit for the vast improvement in Bailey’s quality of life. When Blaze starts back in a couple of weeks I fully believe that she will benefit just as much.
I bring my 2.5 year old husky to the Dartmouth location regularly. She absolutely loves going and I feel extremely comfortable bringing her there for daycare as the owner and staff are very caring with all of the dogs. As she is a little higher in energy due to her breed she sometimes requires more attention and she definitely receives it. The dogs are very well cared for and she always comes home very happy and very tired. Definitely recommend.
My little man attends daycare Monday - Friday and some weekends (he has separation anxiety) and they love him as much as we do. He gets so excited to go, they treat him so well. I never worry about him being cared for, I know he’s 100% safe. My other two attend occasionally and they love it so so much!
I was nervous about how camp bow wow would go for our galgo Django / he’s an anxious dog and is reactive on leash so I really wasn’t sure he’d be a good fit. But John and the other staff were very reassuring and explained how gradual his introduction to the other dogs would go and of course he got along great. We were very thankful for their patience and professionalism and look forward to his next stay there in a month or so! PS it meant a lot that they still remembered our late dogs Rhoda and Rafter, who were frequent campers there - many years ago now!
