Just picked up my little Jack Russell after an extended stay at DGS and pleased to know he thrived while in the care of Janet and Chelsea!! Safe kennel, watchful eyes, and swimming lessons to boot! I even received a few update texts and photos during our two week absence, which was most appreciated. Janet is also an excellent groomer and trainer. We are sold on this facility and will highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I have been to multiple classes there my dog is a high drive little man who loves to get in and go crazy. He’s a sweet German shepherd Malinois mix and for my first time going with my partner it was a great class the second class not so much, the trainer was rude and insensitive claiming that I didn’t care as much about my dog as my Girlfriend did and at the end of this practice she brought up “safety” matters with me claiming that my dog was like a Black man and that when people see him on the street they can only see the violence that it is capable of. It was not only racially insensitive but wholly inappropriate to compare me to my dog in an in humane way. She went into an anecdote about how she went to Florida and got a deep tan and was pulled over by a cop because she was mistaken as Hispanic, completely rude, disgusting and highly unprofessional. It upset me to have to deal with the gruesome nature of this one ignorant person when I enjoy my dog getting in the water and learning some new sports and tricks, I will not be returning to this place. 1 star isn’t close to how awful I feel after this experience.

I've tried to reach out numerous times to "Dog Gone" about dock diving lessons. I never received a response. My message was read on messenger but no response. And no response by email. I've also have spoke with several other people who couldn't get a response. I guess they don't need my business. Will drive to Greenville for lessons instead. They answered my questions and are happy to teach my pup.

They had my dog and he was picked up in the worst possible condition . We took him straight to the vet and the vet wrote a report for neglect. Never leave your dog with these inhumane people !! They should be shut down.

Staff is very tuned in to dog needs. I love this place! Dogs get to play, and are not just stuck in a pen.

Rene and Matt are the most dedicated dog people I have ever met! People like their dogs, but these two love not only their own dogs, but everyone else's as well. Hound Haven is truly a great place for our pups to spend a vacation. Even though they're not the most social or most will adjusted pets on the planet, they are treated as individuals with special needs, not just another dog. And as a pet parent I'm extremely grateful for the peace of mind when we go on vacation. I highly recommend Hound Haven for personal, kind treatment of your dog while you are away.

Absolute the best boarding experience we have ever had! Our lab loved the hound lunge and all the dogs he got to play with. The owners Matt and Renee are amazing king people and Andrew is the best!!!! Andrew walked Trigger in to meet the pack and took such great care of him. Thankful to have found these wonderful people!

We are visiting in Beaufort for a month with our dog. I called a local vet looking for day boarding recommendation. They recommended Hound Haven. Molly has loved them. The Renee, owner and Andrew are so friendly and you can tell the dogs are happy to be there. She is a tired pup when she comes home. Which we think is great!

Hound Haven is THE best doggy day care I’ve ever known. Rene is such a responsive, responsible and reliable owner and pet lover. Our dog gladly left the house when she came to pick him up without even looking back! The personal touches Rene adds such as sending videos and updates when we are boarding our dog made us so comfortable that our pup was with her. He always comes back from Hound Haven healthy, full, and extremely tired from all the fun playing with the other dogs!

I send my mini dachshund to Hound Haven when I am in that area visiting friends. I am extremely particular about where I would leave Cooper. After meeting Matt and Rene any fears I had quickly dissipated. They eased him into the pack and made sure he was safe. When we prepare for a trip to SC all I have to do is tell Cooper he will be going to Hound Haven. He wags his tail and is so happy. I'm known as a "helicopter Mom" but I have no reservations about leaving Cooper there. That means alot to me. I feel very confident leaving him with Matt and Rene. They are wonderful, caring people and truly love their work and each and every dog.

I cannot say enough good things about Andrew and Hound Haven. My mom lives near Beaufort with her dog (Rhett) and unfortunately broke her knee about a month ago and will be in an assisted living home for a while as she heals. I live in Seattle and I needed to find a place for my mom's dog to stay during her recovery. Andrew and Hound Haven have been a blessing, as they've been taking such good care of Rhett and continually provide me with updates on how he's doing and if he needs anything. It is a huge peace of mind knowing that Rhett's in such good hands -- I highly recommend Hound Haven for your dog!

My 2 year-old lab mix has been going to Hound Haven by the Bay for the past eight months.She goes to Doggie Daycare and I have boarded her there. It is definitely her home away from home; her extended family. She literally leaps out of the car when we arrive, because she is so excited and loves it so much. She has received outstanding care from Matt, Rene, and their team. The dogs that attend all have to go through an evaluation process to make sure that they are a fit in terms of temperament and behavior. It's a comforting feeling to know that the dogs have been evaluated. Matt and Rene treat my dog (and from what I can see - all of the dogs that attend), as if she were their own dog. They are caring, observant, attentative, and loving toward the dogs. I always feel that my dog, Frankie, is in excellent hands. She has every opportunity to play with other friendly dogs while she is there, and often comes home well tired out from a day of socialization and play. I couldn't be happier with the care that my dog receives and highly recommend Hound Haven by the Bay.

We love taking Molly, our shepherd husky mix to Hound Haven! Matt, Renee and everyone else take very good care of her as she gets some much needed socializing with the other pups. Highly recommended!

The owner is a great guy and cares so much for dogs. He's got a great place where your doggos can run around outside. He treats them so well and the staff are so nice! My husky loves it and gets bummed out when we don't take her.

When I first met rene and matt I knew instantly they were dog people. I felt better knowing that I was leaving my dog (bosco) in good hands. I used the boarding service. I was very happy when I came back to pick him up, You could tell bosco loved his stay!! I would 100% recommend to my friends/family who need any of many services they provide.

The folks here were extremely accommodating to us! We were in town for the wreath laying ceremony, and they were willing to accept my puppy for daycare (which turned into overnight boarding) day of without question. I was sent updates that included photos throughout his stay. They also kindly allowed us to pick him up early so that we could travel back home at an earlier time. I will definitely use them again when I visit!

Always have a great experience when I bring my dog there, she is well taken care of and the groomer Amanda as well as the other kennel techs, Shae and Kaitlyn always do such a good job giving her a bath and nails. She comes home happy and healthy and always enjoys seeing her friends. The owner Jason and Kelly are amazing with good prices and them as well as the women stated above love and cherish the dogs as if they were their own! Will always recommend beafort dog !!!

Beaufort Dog was absolutely wonderful to us! Our town was hit by the hurricane, and we evacuated to family in the Beaufort area, but we had to board our puppy, Yoshi. I was very nervous about leaving him, but he was very well cared for and had a great time. Amanda was extra amazing! We will be back!

If I could give zero stars I would. My dog was booked to stay for four days while I moved across country. My flight was cancelled so I called and said I would be in to get her and drop her off the next day. I even left her Food bag with them. When I called the next day no one answered. I left several messages. I drove over to the kennel and no one answered. They have Video cameras. They saw me. They got the messages. No answer. I paid the owner in full and tipped a week before dropping off my dog. Terrible. Disgusting. Behavior. Unreal. The one worker at the desk was incompetent and I had to keep repeating that I had paid. Both times she saw me. I had thousands of dollars on the line with moving and the owner knew my flight was canceled because I spoke to him directly. No excuses. They knew Exactly what tgey were doing.

We LOVE Beaufort Dog! We have two high-energy German Shepherds and have taken advantage of their training, daycare, and boarding. We started having some behavioral issues when we adopted our second dog, and have noticed a HUGE difference after agility training, obedience training, and daycare at Beaufort Dog. Despite the challenges we’ve had, we feel so comfortable leaving our pups with the staff there. All of them are caring and competent with our dogs. The family who owns Beaufort Dog takes care of all the dogs as if they were their own. Best of all, our pups get so excited when we pull in! Highly recommend!

About the worse chop job on my dog's hair that I have ever seen. I hope he was treated well because his haircut is uneven, sloppy, and a real mess all around. They were supposed to brush his teeth 😔 I sincerely hope that the groomer is okay because her grooming was non existent.

We came from Lawrenceburg, Indiana for my sons Marine Bootcamp graduation. We were staying for a week and decided to board our sweet havashire Chloe. With not much notice or research I took a chance on Beaufort Dog after talking to them and touring their facility. I was nervous because she had never been boarded before and was only 8 months old but they were fantastic! She stayed 3 days while we did the long days on Parris Island. They sent me videos and pictures and were so sweet. I had her groomed before pick up and she was so happy and very well taken care of. I highly recommend them.

Overall they were great! We were traveling for our daughter's graduation in Parris island and they were quick to accommodate us with our little Patches.

We were traveling to Beaufort, SC for two weeks with our dog. Beaufort Dog was recommended to us by a local. Our dog is a little "skittish". We brought her by, went over the type of dog she was, what she liked, etc. The first day we left her for 4 hours. And every day thereafter she was happy to go. One day we left her for all day. She came home happy and tired. And even though she's shy she made friends quickly. The staff was great. The place was great. Clean as well. Highly recommend.

My Bichon, Lucky Dog, was groomed at Beaufort Dog this week. The grooming was great but the thing that pleased me the most was Lucky's temperament when I picked him up. He was happy, totally chill and not shaking at all like he would normally be after a long day at the groomer. The staff is very kind and there are no cages for the dogs. We'll definitely be back!

We have never used a pet sitter before and found C Barley Pet Services online. Lewis was fantastic with our dog and cat while we were gone. He sent daily updates and photos along with any concerns he had. He came to our home so they could meet him, and he was very professional and thorough in all planning and communication. We were nervous to leave our pets behind, but he made us feel very safe knowing that they were in good hands! We highly recommend their services and would use them again if needed.

After our 17-year old dachshund lost her best friend, it became too much on her health to board her. C. Barley Pet Service has been such a huge help in letting our dog stay in the comfort of her own home plus, the added security knowing someone we trust is checking in on our home while we are away. We always receive pictures and updates for every visit and scheduling is always easy. Lewis is very easy to communicate with and we have had zero issues with this business. Wished we would have stumbled upon them sooner!

We've used C Barley Pet Services on two occasions now and are pleased to say how happy we are with the care and compassion shown to our two kitty cats while away. Lewis is thorough and responsible as he gives daily detailed reports ( as-well-as pictures!) while in his care. I have to travel out of town regularly and can’t take my two dogs. C. Barley Pet Services has been a lifesaver. My dogs prefer to be at home instead of being boarded and Lewis does such a great job of taking care of them. He is so patient and kind with them and treats them like his own pets. He even spends time with our rescue, helping her to get used to new people and feeding her by hand so that she is more gentle. We’ve had pet sitters before, but I’ve never felt that they were taking care of them like they were their own until Lewis. I completely trust him and know that my furbabies are very safe.

Lewis has been our dog walker for approximately one year. In every instance he has been reliable, trustworthy and knowledgeable. If you want peace of mind when you need someone to care for your pet, rely on Lewis. Your pet will adore him :) And you will not be disappointed.

C Barley is Awesome and very caring! Both of our cats require medicine. It is comforting knowing that i can leave my two cats at home under their care and not have to board them at the vet when I go on vacation. Highly recommend them!

OMGoodness, I am ever so pleased with Mr. Lewis’s pet sitting and taking the most wonderful care of our kitty, BubbaBoy. He has a questionnaire on the kitty’s routine, feeding, in case of emergency, etc. His questionnaire is detailed and we were impressed how well organized Mr. Lewis is. Absolutely love Camp Green Dog! They take such good care of our dogs everytime they stay. One of our pups was abandoned at a kennel so finding him a place to feel safe is tricky but he loves the staff and they always make him feel comfortable. It's clear the staff take extra care in what they do. Will recommend to anyone!

I recently boarded my dog and had him groomed at this facility, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. This was the first time I ever left him alone with anyone, and I was quite nervous about it. However, the staff was incredibly caring and attentive, which allowed me to enjoy my vacation worry-free. While on vacation in the area, we dropped our small German Shepherd Izzy at daycare while we went to see the area. Izzy had a blast! She usually has terrible separation anxiety, but she enjoyed daycare so much, she ran to the truck every morning. Extremely positive experience, highly recommend.

Camp Green Dog Daycare and grooming is the Best in the area! My dogs look and smell great after Lisa grooms them. Everyone there is super friendly. Lisa is awesome at accommodating my crazy schedule. I’ve been going there for almost 2 years and no complaints!

Wonderful place. First time boarding our 3 needy and particular pugs and the girls at the front were so kind and accommodating. They took notes on their behaviors, listened to my questions (and I had A LOT of questions. Haha!) and made sure our babies were well taken care of. We will be boarding much more here thanks to the care and love the owner and staff provide.

10/10 service!!! I didn’t need to bring any food, bedding , blankets , toys etc they had her covered to the FULLEST!!! They took out personal time with her and also let her be sociable with other dogs. When I came to pick her up she was washed, well fed and most importantly happy! I’m am a very satisfied mommy and will be booking again!

Everything was welcoming and impressive about this facility and the staff. The first day I dropped off my dog for her evaluation, I had first day of school jitters. Shelby and her team made me feel safe, secure, and welcome. My dog did great and got a wonderful review. I was really happy to find out that they also take advantage of technology and I will be able to see her during her stay. The staff is knowledgeable and well educated. You really do get what you pay for. I have been in the dog industry for almost 30 years. There's not a facility in our area that even holds a candle to K9 Resorts Bluffton off Hwy 170. If you have high standards like I do, this is the place for you. If you believe that professionalism is a lost art, this is the place for you. If you believe excellence is not impossible, this is the place for you. On all counts, I guarantee this is the place for me!

We board our dog Waylon here when we go on any vacations or overnight trips. I never have to worry about him while we’re gone because I know he is also on vacation! He has the best time playing all day with other dogs. I love the fact that they did a personality/temperament test before his initial stay so they can place him with other dogs that have the same temperament. He sleeps for days when we pick him up! ❤️

I love love love LOVEEE the bark shack!! I board my baby here whenever I’m traveling and trust them with his life! Great people, amazing and caring staff. My baby can be a bit difficult at times but the bark shack makes life so much easier. They treat us like family and they barely know us. We are forever grateful!

Dropped our dogs off Sadie and Cliff, for the weekend, and they both had a wonderful time! The employees carefully selected playgroups for each of them, that matched their individual personalities too! So cliffy got to play with the rowdy boys, and sadie got to play with the more chilled out doggos. Then they got to eat and sleep together each day too!

Simply the BEST!!!! We have been using The Bark Shack for boarding since we moved here 8 years ago. We first started boarding our Saint Bernard, Beverly there and now board our Lab, Rosie there. The staff is phenomenal and communication is excellent!!! Rosie gets so excited the minute we pull into the parking lot and she leaves happy and exhausted. Best boarding/grooming facility around!!!

I have known Karen since she started The Bark Shack from her home. I would not trust my dog to anyone else. The staff provides loving, individualized care to each and every pet with plenty of fun and exercise. Transportation and grooming services are offered as well. A great over-all experience.

Great friendly place. My German Shepherd is very picky about who he warms up to and has never had a problem at Bark Shack.

My dogs have been seeing Karen at the Bark Shack for over eight years. They have used the doggy daycare, which is fantastic, and my Springer Spaniel has been groomed by Karen and her staff. He actually loves to be groomed and will fall asleep when brushed by anyone. :-) Karen stays at my house when I am out of town so the dogs have someone with them at night. To relate just one story of how awesome Karen is, my Springer is 13 now and we were out of town. Karen sent an early morning video and message that he had to go to the vet. Oh No! He is 13 is what I was thinking and the video showed symptoms of a stroke, seizure, or vertigo. She immediately got him to the vet, stayed in contact with me the whole time, and it turned out to be just vertigo. I can tell you that I was thinking the worst, which having a dog for 13 years, you do not want the dog to be by himself and I certainly wanted to be there. I knew though that no matter what he was in capable hands, and he loved Karen too. Karen stayed with him, got his medications, and has watched him through until we got home. If you are considering where to place your fur child, Karen and the staff at Bark Shack are compassionate, caring, attentive, and will treat your fur child like theirs. Our dog goes to The Bark Shack for daycare 3 days/week and is conveniently picked up and dropped off by the "school bus". She loves going and is tired when she gets home. She also stays there when we're out of town. I know I can call and check in on her. The staff keep track of whether or not your dog has eaten and all the toys and blankets always come home with them. They also offer grooming - our other dog is afraid to have his nails trimmed, so a staff member actually came to our home to trim his nails! 4 paws up!

I had heard many good things about bark shack. Maybe their boarding service and dog grooming are better. But for my cat to look like this, from that, for $75!! Crazy. I have a pair of wahl clippers at home..I could have done this..

Pet got severely injured during a two night stay. Now after a vet bill of almost $900, my poor dog has a 2-week recovery for ulceration of paw pads and is on 2 different pain medications. Beware, this place uses astroturf which radiates heat and is, in general, extremely terrible for dogs to play on. This all could have been avoided if pet was actually monitored properly while playing, which is what I paid for them to do. I noticed my dog limp as soon as I left and my boyfriend shortly called after picking her up to inquire about this. Safe to say, nothing was done. Instead, all I have as a result is an outrageously, high vet bill and a sad, injured dog. I never feel the need to write bad reviews (rarely even take the time to write any at all), but with the state of my pet I feel obligated to warn others.

My wife and I moved from SoCal to SC due to military orders a few years ago. We were worried about finding a place as good as our previous boarding spot (the boutique types are a dime a dozen in SoCal) for our Siberian Husky. We were so surprised and relieved to find May River Pet Resort. The facility and staff are absolutely top notch. Booking is always smooth and the drop off/pick-up process is organized (this is my favorite part, as their system prevents dogs from crossing paths in the lobby area). Everyone there genuinely cares about your pet - they even greeted our dog by name every visit we made. The owner was almost always there, which showed us how personally invested he was in the facility. We moved away recently and still talk about how much we miss this spot. We can’t thank the May River Pet Resort staff enough!

May River is the BEST! My parents have taken our family dog here for daycare and boarding for 3 years and they always have peace of mind leaving Riggins here. I just started taking my bulldog puppy Edwin for regular daycare and he couldn't be happier! The facility is always clean, very quiet and calm environment, amazing staff who goes above and beyond for the care of each and every dog, and the owner Duke is wonderful! Couldn't be happier with this place and team, Edwin is always in good hands!

Our previous experience with this resort was great, but when we recently took our shiba here to get a bath, she had a gash under her eye when I picked her up at the end of the day. I called again later after picking her up to see if I could get any more details, but was told the same story of her running into a fence. I understand things like this happen, but I would’ve appreciated a little more transparency about the incident and sympathy from the staff. At the very least, the fence needs to be repaired or replaced so that this isn’t a problem for future dogs and animals that are boarded here. Thank you for your time.

We recently took our dogs to May River for 6 nights while we went on vacation. There is absolutely not one thing that we did not love about it. Anika at the front desk was extremely responsive to every single question I had and the building is extremely clean. Every single staff member there was going above and beyond to take care of each and every dog. I am a nervous person when it comes to my dogs but I can honestly say that I trust May River 100 percent. They also got a complimentary bath and were so clean and soft when we picked them up. I highly recommend May River they’re truly the next level of dog care.

We love the prompt service and attention to detail that is provided at Mayriver. They always greet our pet by his name! We know that our JJ is in good hands.

We have four dogs and we have tried every pet resort prior to having our sister watch our dogs in Hilton head and Bluffton. This is the only pet resort where our dogs came back in the same condition or better than when we dropped them off. I definitely recommend them and trust them completely. I love MayRiver pet resort , they are gentle and caring for my blind foster dog. They have always been very professional and very nice.

It was my very nervous Bassett hounds 1st time at a groomers. They were so good with her and she was a very happy dog when I returned for her. She looks great!! Service is excellent and prices are fair for how hard I know they must work on our fur babies.

Clean, Nice, but....being selective due to a dog being a Senior or a special need should be advertised on the web-site. This Boarding Facility however nice in appearance it is and however good the reviews are, flat out informs you at the initial meeting and refers you to an Animal Hospital that does boarding. Really??? I have been to at least 4 other nice Boarding Resorts that love ALL dogs and have no prejudices and genuinely are in business loving all dogs, and have compassion for all dogs/animals. I have not ever been turned away. No compassion from this Owner! The Owner only wanted to talk about his 150 active dogs on weekends and he does not have time or staff for other types of dogs, and how everything costs a lot of money. I was there to interview the facility not get in a debate about money and how my dogs would not be cared for at a Boarding facility. This type of person/Owner I would not ever let my dogs be cared for there even if they decided to allow my dogs. If you are in business to care for animals this is all part of the responsibility. It is clear that this facility is all about making money only and has some very strict rules. Good for them but buyer beware!

Fabulous place! I've had my dogs there for day care a couple of times and about to board them there for the second time. I have one dog that has a habit of charging at dogs larger than him (it's a fear thing) and is very insecure. While at May River for day care, he made friends with dogs bigger than him and was very well behaved. Obviously the staff there made sure he felt safe and happy or that never would have happened. Every time the dogs stay there, they come home well adjusted and rested but happy to see their mom and dad. There has never been any issues with their behavior after staying there. You know you've chosen a good boarding kennel when your dogs are well behaved and rested (not fearful, clingy, or aggressive) when they come home.
