My big boy Bengal, Dezi had a great time here. The facility was very nice and clean too. He got his own two room suite! The staff made him feel safe and loved and he wasn’t stressed when I picked him up. This was his first time away from home and I wasn’t sure how it would go. He will be coming back to visit again.

I have used Best Friends since 2002. All of my dogs have done great and I had a dog with some “issues” and she was handled well. There were never any problems after their visit at the “spa” as we referred to it. My two small dogs just returned from their spa visit and Max was on medication and he did great and our Gracie was happy too. Highly recommend!! 🐾🐾

We brought our Golden, Lola, here for the first time for a full grooming experience. She is terrified of loud noises--the girl who met us at check-in was extremely gentle with our dog, calming, and got her to settle down. We knew immediately that Lola was in good hands. They brought Lola out looking better than she ever has at any other grooming appointment--complete with a fresh bandana and bow. We loved our experience here!

First time with Best Friends over the Christmas holiday. She was pretty excited to go with the staff and seemed great when we picked up. We had a long delay on our return train ride and the staff was very understanding. I felt very comfortable with her accommodations and would definitely use them again next time we travel.

We moved to Sacramento recently and I was a little stressed about finding a boarding facility for my two sphynx cats. One of my cats is on a heart medication and they both require a little more attention than some haired cats need. I was so pleasantly surprised with how well Pat's took care of them for the week we were on vacation. There was even a health concern during their stay but it was handled calmly and promptly. I feel very comfortable leaving my cats in their care in the future.

I was having a hard time having to leave my kitty for the first time. And the staff here is so great they sent me pictures of my kitty and gave me updates when needed. If you have kitty babies, I highly recommend booking with Pat's Boarding Place for Cats! I previously booked with Wags Hotel in the past but decided to give Pat's a chance. Booking with them was super easy. I called in during their business hours and Elaine answered all the questions I had. Prior to the kitties staying at Pat's, the paperwork either needs to be complete ahead of time electronically or printed and submitted in person day of. Like any other boarding spot, make sure the required vaccinations and flea preventative are done before the stay. When it came time to drop off my two fur babies Sammy and Boris sometime in March 2024, I knew both of them were going to be in good hands! I love the layout of the cat boarding spot and the amount of room both kitties had when I booked them a suite. It's super cool that they both get the opportunity to explore the catio, and it's convenient for those making their way to the Sacramento International Airport. Overall, this place has good vibes and for the price I pay, I know I can get better service and put my two fur babies in a quieter cat only space. Boarded my cats here and they did so well! I like that they check the amount of food in the bowls to make sure the cats are eating. When my cats weren’t eating much at first they even found food my cats liked and sent me home with a can in case I wanted to get more. One of my shy cats even became so comfortable she was giving the lady kisses. And my sometimes aggressive cat even made a cat friend there. I love that they get to walk around and interact with the other cats. Will definitely bring my cats here again next time I have to go on a trip!

I thought this place would be a good fit for my cats, but it wasn’t! From the beginning, we could tell the owner doesn’t care about cats and only care about the money! The owner was very rude and started to argue when we asked for a better room for my cats. ( talked already on the phone) We asked for photos because we were gone for two weeks and she refused! It takes 2 seconds to take and send pictures! When we came back to pick them up, the litter box and their water were so dirty and not acceptable after how much they charged! I’m sorry, but I can't give this place five stars.

They have taken amazing care of my cat many times in the last several years since we moved here. In fact, it got to the point where he would not want to leave and then sulk around the house when we got home. We recently got him a little brother and boarded both boys for the same time. They both had a lot of fun, and came home in a great mood. I really appreciate that they let us call to check on them, and now, even have a texting line. I never worry about leaving my kitties here, I know they are in expert hands.

I have dropped off my cat twice here and I can not recommend Pats enough. The workers there clearly love cats and do a great job of keep the cats happy and healthy. Though my cat must have social anxiety around cars, she loves humans. The workers recognized that and made sure to give her plenty of pets. They will also let you know how your cat is doing if you call and ask. Highly recommend calling ahead when you know you need to board your cat. They get busy during certain times of the year and it also helps to budget the time for your cat.

I've been taking my kitties to Pat's Boarding Place for Cats for about 20 years now and won't consider leaving them anywhere else. The staff is fantastic and the place looks like a Disneyland for kitties. I know my fur babies are going to be well taken care of, and it gives me so much peace of mind. Here's an example of how they go out of their way to make sure all the cats are well taken care of. I got Covid at the end of my trip to Ireland last spring and was left in limbo not knowing when I'd be able to go home. After explaining the situation to the staff they assured me they would take care of my cats until I returned. This involved someone having to go buy more cat food and moving my cats to other kennels because the ones they were in were reserved for other kitties. Their reassurance reduced my stress immeasurably. I ended up coming back two weeks later than I was supposed to and all the kitties were fine. What an awesome place!

Took our Golden to the splash pad night. They had the nicest facility!! So much room for the dogs to run around in, very clean and no broken toys/furniture. My golden had so much fun and I will definitely be signing her up for a day care session.

Great place to take your dog for day care or swim fun. I've taken my bullmastiff to day care and open swim. She lived both and came home tired and happy. Bit expensive buy you're paying for good care of your dog. I really appreciate that they screen your pet and have separation of different temperaments. Open swim in wknds is great and pretty cheap at $10 per dog. I highly recommend and will be back often. They have boarding service too, but I've never used it.

We rented the pool with some dog park friends and had a blast. The staff are very friendly and the pool was ready to have our pack of dogs rage. Some seating provided, bring a towel for yourself and wear clothes you don't mind getting soaked because the dogs will shake all over you!

The staff here is great! Our pup had an amazing day swimming here, we are planning on coming back for daycare :) (And I must say... It's so refreshing to find a place where pitbulls are treated equally!)

I took my dog, Huffy, to the Animal Den for their open swim. She had a blast! All the doggies loved the pool and I got to enjoy some wine while she played. It was a win all around! My only gripe is the admission fee is $10. The fee is reasonable but it does keep us from going as frequently as we would like!

My dog has been going here for daycare 4 days a week for the last year and is so happy and excited whenever we arrive. Previous places we went for daycare I could see him on camera just sitting by the gate wanting to leave, and he was never eager to walk through the door. I think the staff here have gotten to know him and what makes him happy to be there so he feels much more comfortable. They also do cute holiday activities and dogs of the week which are adorable extra touches. Overall it’s been a great experience!

Such nice and caring individuals! They can accommodate almost anything! Very patient and compassionate for not only the fur babies but the fur parents as well! As for my Meeko he is having the time of his life for his first time. He is literally smiling. Great decision to board him here. I would high recommend this place!

Elizabeth has been our dog walker/pet sitter since 2023. Our dog, Charlie, needs 3 walks a day and Elizabeth takes good care of him. He gets exercise and enjoys time in her company. She is also great when our fire alarms went off in our house during our last trip. She disarmed them and sent pictures. We were happy she was able to take care of the problem. She is a great communicator and I highly recommend her to those who want to leave their animal with a responsible and caring pet sitter!

Elizabeth is a fantastic dog sitter. She is very responsible and reliable. My dogs always seem happy when they are in her care. Much better than leaving them at an impersonal kennel. Zoe and Nacho love spending time with Elizabeth. I would highly recommend her.

Elizabeth has been watching our first rescue dog Nico since we got him in 2021, and now our latest addition, Vinny. As with a lot of rescues, ours had some social/ behavioral issues in the beginning, but Elizabeth is an expert. She knows how to work with and around those issues and also make recommendations. The controlled socialization our dogs get when staying overnight with Elizabeth have been immensely helpful to their training. They come home pooped and happy from all the playing! She also offers reasonable pricing and flexible scheduling. If you’re in the Davis area, highly recommend giving Elizabeth a call.

Elizabeth is awesome, she takes wonderful care of our Jack Russell mix and border collie mix. They always come home happy and smiling and well cared for. She sends lots of pictures to keep us updated and we are really grateful for her skill with the dogs. Our border collie is on medication which Elizabeth skillfully administers and doesn’t always get along with other dogs in our experience, but Elizabeth is so good with her. She always comes home better trained and socialized then we left her :-)

We’ve relied on Elizabeth for years to take care of our pets and house while away. Guinea pigs, fish, dog - she does it all and keeps an eye on the house. We’ve used her for weekends to over a month. Always reliable and responsive. Pets are well cared for and happy. Good value, good and reasonable service. Highly recommended and much preferred to a kennel.

I am so GRATEFUL that I found Grateful Dog Daycare! I've taken advantage of their overnight and long-term boarding services. As you can see from the photo, Ariel and I have trouble leaving one another. However, she always comes home healthy and happy after staying with the Grateful Dog Staff who are so very helpful and kind. If I could give more than 5 stars, I certainly would!

I take my 40lb doodley dog to get groomed here and they do an amazing job, every time! They even have a little slab with fur lengths so you can visualize ideal lengths for the cut. It helps me out A LOT. My pup comes out looking great no matter which groomer he sees. He’s also quite nervous but they take good care of him while he’s there.

Rose has been our go-to pet sitter for three years now. We have two large male house cats. Rose provides peace of mind while we are gone, in part because she posts us by text early each morning with a short report on that morning's visit and how the cats are. She also makes written notes on each visit and leaves them for us. She is careful and conscientious and very easy to work with. We have never had a problem with her service and recommend Always Available whole- heartedly.

Rose watched my two boxers for me. It was somewhat nerve wracking having a non family member watch my girls. But Rose is very professional and thorough. During the meet and greet my dogs seemed to settle fairly well with her presence too. She texts a picture and update every day. Would definitely use her again!

I recently used always available pet sitting for a long weekend away from my pet. Rose was fantastic. She was very thorough on what services I should expect & walked me through everything. I recently had Rose watch my eight dogs (two large dogs and six small dogs) and my two cats. I was gone overnight and my pets are not used to this. However I am pleased to say that my pets have taken kindly to Rose and they were well taken care of when I was gone. Rose sent text pictures with each of her visits. Unfortunately she had to clean up after one of my dogs but the place was immaculate when I got home. I highly recommend rose for pet sitting and I plan on using her in the future.

We highly recommend Rose, Always Available Pet Sitting. Right from the beginning Rose was organized and business-like, taking note of the names of each pet, the amount of food, times of day to be fed, locations for food, treats, etc. Rose cared for our 4 dogs and cat for 9 days while we went on vacation. She did not hesitate to come an extra day when our flight was canceled last minute. Rose did a lot more than just feed our fur babies. She spent time playing with them as well as watching their behavior to make sure they got along and played together safely. (We have 3 large dogs and a small beagle.) She even called us to make sure we were comfortable with what she saw. She left notes from each day and also texted us notes and photos. It’s clear Rose loves animals and has experience with animal behavior. We felt so much more at ease on our vacation knowing Rose was watching our pets. We will be using Rose’s services again.

River dogs resort is absolutely amazing! I am a bit overly protective of my dog and I never hesitate to leave him at River dogs resort. He can tell when we’re pulling into their driveway and is immediately excited. He gets to play with lots of friendly dogs all day and I never have to worry about how he is doing. The owner, Dina, is a true dog lover and treats all the dogs as if they are her own. She is flexible and always looking out for what will be best for your dog. My dog is an 85 pound German shepherd mix who has lots of energy and he always comes home happy and tired. You should look no further if you want a place your doggo will love.

River Dogs is considered a second home for my dogs. I have been a faithful client for over two years (2-3 days a week) and have only great things to say. River Dogs is the best! our dog loves it there and the owner is so nice and helpful and loves dogs! our flight was canceled at Christmas and rescheduled for days later after we had already dropped our dog off. River Dogs extended our kennel time so we could spend longer with family and took such good care of her. so helpful and understanding!!!!! will always go there!!!

Yep, a 5 star review for Dina and River Dog Resort! We needed a last minute fun and safe spot for our 12 yo American Foxhound and were so happy Dina had an opening for Chuck. Shortly after arriving, Chuck was adventurous and tried to escape by scaling a fence but Dina did not let that affect her ability to provide safe and loving care for his stay. Upon our return she told us what happened and figured out solutions for his next stay communicating in a professional, caring and understanding way. We are impressed and highly recommend RDR!

Our boxer Abbey LOVES going to see Miss Dina every week! Abbey always has such a fun time playing with her dog buddies. We also board our dog here a few times a year and always know she will be very well taken care of. River Dogs Resort is such a great location and we will never go anywhere else!

Dina and her staff have been taking care of our two large dogs for about 5 years now! They were always responsive and easy to do pick ups and drop offs. The pups were always well cared for, happy to go(could not wait to get taken back to play!!), and exhausted when we picked them up! We were very sad to move away because it was such a wonderful gift to have found such a caring place for our fur-babies! I recommend them without any hesitation!!!

We cannot say enough great things about Abigayle and Dog of Honor! Everything was seamless and absolutely perfect. Abigayle was incredible - she made sure our fur baby was well taken care of, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. She walked our girl around keeping her active, was on standby for photos, and even walked her down the aisle as our ring bearer! During cocktail hour, she made sure Dany was socialized and having fun while we were off doing our sunset photos. After cocktail hour, she took Dany home, walked her, and fed her before leaving. It was such a relief to know our girl was in such good hands all day. On top of all that, Abigayle went above and beyond when she noticed she accidentally kept our car hammock. She had a brand new one ordered and delivered the very next day. Now that’s excellent service! While totally not necessary, it was so appreciated! Her business model is genius, and we are so grateful for the peace of mind she provided on our big day AND for giving us the opportunity to include our Dany girl in our day. Abigayle was SUCH a joy to work with for our wedding day. She took amazing care of our Pixie (she could tell when Pixie was getting overwhelmed at our cocktail hour), was just generally a wonderful helping hand in our wedding preparations, and also honored all of our wishes as it related to our pup (capturing lots of photos!). You can tell she cares a lot about dogs! We feel so grateful for her services - allowing our dog to participate in our wedding with none of the hassle. If you're on the fence about hiring Dog of Honor, we highly highly recommend! We will cherish our memories and photos of Pixie from our wedding day forever - and we were able to do this because of Abigayle, entirely stress-free!

We hired Abigayle to be our dog Clover’s pet attendant and it was truly one of the best parts of our wedding. Clover is our one year old Golden Retriever. He’s an energetic pup who wants to say hi to everyone, and is very willing to pull/drag to make that happen - not the easiest dog to handle. Abigayle really made the whole experience of involving him in our wedding so seamless and worry-free! She picked Clover up, brought him to the venue, helped us work him into photos with us and all our guests, and monitored / helped Clover to greet guests without jumping/lunging. She kept him happy and healthy with water and treats, and even attended him down our aisle so he could be our ring bearer. And for the cherry on top, she took a ton of her own photos and videos of Clover, including a beautiful “money-shot” video of our ceremony from Clover’s perspective. With all of the thousands of little details to worry about on our wedding day, choosing to put Abigayle in charge of Clover was absolutely the way to go, and I’d recommend her to anyone looking to include their dog at their wedding!

We really wanted our dog Lucy to be at our wedding, but we had no idea how the logistics would work out and who would watch her. After much Google searching, I am so glad I found Abigayle! She took amazing care of Lucy at the wedding, helping her pose for pictures and entertaining her before the ceremony! Lucy is super high energy dog who isn’t the most well behaved, but Abigayle was extremely patient and really great with her. She also picked up and dropped off at our home, walked her and fed her. She even gave a little toy for Lucy as a gift at the end, so sweet! If you want your dog to be a part of your wedding, definitely recommend Dog of Honor!

We used Abigayle for our wedding in Sonoma and she was amazing. 15/5 stars if we could. Our fur child is special, she is a nervous nelly, OCD and stranger danger. She takes sertraline and gaba. We wanted her to be as comfortable as possible and honestly, she was amazing during our wedding day, Loved Abigayle, she was a social butterfly, not anxious at all and even took amazing photos. We highly recommend dog of honor to anyone who is thinking about it for their wedding. Our fur child is so important to us and wanted her to be a part of our special day and wanted everyone to enjoy it with us knowing Luna would be ok and enjoy it as well. THANK YOU

To anyone who wants to have their fur baby in their wedding but wants total peace of mind, I cannot recommend dog of honor (and Abigayle) enough! She was thoughtful, on time, and made sure our pup was taken care of and picture ready the entire time. I especially loved how she made rounds to all our guests so our loved ones could interact with our pup. She was prepared with an entire bag of things that might be needed (lint roller, treats, squeaker toys) and everything proved to be useful! Our pictures turned out fantastic because she was behind our photographers squeaking toys, lol! She allowed us to be present with our guests, and provided excellent and thoughtful/attentive care to our pup. If your planning to include your dog(s) in your wedding, and your wedding is in wine country, then I wouldn't go forward without hiring Abigayle to be a part of your day. She is 1 of 1 in the area, and provides a service which we didn't know we needed. Abigayle was invaluable to us on our big day - watching our dog Juno, making sure she was cool in the heat, bringing treats and toys to get her attention for pictures, carrying her around cocktail hour to say hi to our guests, and then making sure she got her much needed rest while we enjoyed our reception. Having Juno included in our day, while being stress free about her care was such a perk, and I'm so grateful that Abigayle's Dog of Honor service exists!

Do not hesitate on including your dog at your wedding! Abigayle was ready to go on the day. She came prepared with everything needed to keep your furry friend entertained and comfortable. Her experience with handing dogs was very evident; she is a true paw-fessional! Truffle, our dog, was extremely happy to have worked with Abigayle. We could tell that Truffle trusted her and loved the treats and toys that were brought along. When trying to take photos, Abigayle knew the tricks to get Truffle to look at the camera and pose photogenically. Since we were unable to spend much time with Truffle, it was also a pleasant surprise to see the photos and videos that Abigayle captured. It was an absolute honor to have Abigayle join us. We highly recommend her services to anyone on the fence about having their own dogs of honor present at their events.

Abigayle was truly an indispensable part of our wedding day! From the beginning of our planning process we knew we wanted to include our dog, Maggie, as part of our wedding day, but were apprehensive given Maggie’s separation anxiety and the heat in June at our venue. However, Abigayle made the whole process so painless for us and Maggie. She was able to help us arrange an overnight sitter as well as had suggestions for Maggie’s outfit for the day. And on our wedding day, we got multiple compliments about how well behaved and quiet Maggie had been—something that would not have been the possible were it not for Dog of Honor. We also have received some pictures from the day off, both from Dog of Honor and our photographer (with Abigayle’s assistance) that truly capture Maggie’s personality and will be framed on our walls for years to come. My husband and I rarely write reviews, but this was such a wonderful experience we felt we had to for Dog of Honor.

I highly recommended Starr to dog sit and board your dog. My first dog has been a handful. She’s a mini Aussie and has a lot of energy. She is so much happier now on the ranch with Starr. Her tail starts to wag as soon as we pull up into the driveway. Starr always comes out with a big smile and my puppy is over the moon. I work at a hospital and Starr has been very understanding when things come up. I’ve been going to the ranch for the last 3 months and I don’t plan on looking elsewhere. You and your dog will be so glad you found her.

We’ve been sending our baby to the Ranch since he was 5 months old, and I couldn’t imagine him anywhere else. Covid really hindered our progress with socializing our pup, but Starr assured us she would help teach him how to be a pug. I really appreciate that she is professional, punctual, and thorough with communication. The Ranch only takes in small breeds and boards a limited amount of campers. The conditions of her facilities are very clean and the pets are being supervised while they play. This was very important to us and Starr’s pug ranch is truly paradise for your pet. We wouldn’t (and don’t) board with anyone other than Ms Starr at the Pug Ranch.

Starr is a really neat person. Absolutely wonderful and calming to my otherwise anxious dog. My Yorkie Mix came home so relaxed and calm her first time and it was 4 days. . She didn't even say Hi when I picked her up, lol. Repeat camp for Sufi is in our future!

I was so thankful I found Starr! She is amazing with my English Bulldog! She knows the breed and what special care they need! I never worry when he is with her! Thank you for loving and spoiling my dog!

This place is amazing. Star the owner is absolutely the best. I was in a bind last weekend and needed a place for my little Chihuahua. They were full but took him for both days to play. Would use this place again and recommend them to anyone who has dogs. Thank you again Star and Dogs Life Boarding, you are the best.

Our 2 pugs stayed at The Pug Ranch last weekend when a last minute trip popped up. They had a great time, pictures and updates were sent during their stay and I will definitely take them again.

Our precious pug Andy always enjoys his vacation with Starr. He can't wait to get to the Ranch and see his friends and returns to us with the energy of a puppy.
