Heidi’s houndstays was great. She looked after our beautiful shar pei Alfie for 3 nights and we got constant video and photos updates. The dogs all looked like they were having a great time. We will definitely use Heidi again and would happily recommend her to everyone.

I couldnt recommend Heidi’s Houndstay more highly. My German Shepherd was always excited to stay there and absolutely loved Heidi and all her staff. Regular videos provide piece of mind and show what a fabulous time all the dogs are having. It’s nice to know that when you have to leave them they are with absolute dog lovers. Rowena

For your dog to have the best time + for you to be stress free, we strongly recommend Heidi's Houndstay!!! We left our pup, Porto, at Heidi's for a day and she looked after him like her own! The other dogs at her place were also so gentle and playful! The best bit was that she sent us photos & videos of Porto all day, which not only gave us peace of mind, but also so much joy to see our little furball having such a fun time! And her property and the doggy studio are just incredible! We cannot recommend Heidi enough! Our pup had the best time and returned home with a cute little Bindi on his forehead - to blend right in with the Byron life! Thanks Heidi!!!

My two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are sociable dogs but also quite placid. As they had never been away from home before I was a bit concerned leaving them for 3 nights. Heidi ensured that they were accommodated with dogs of a similar temperament, and they had the best time! The video updates from Heidi were so reassuring. I could see how relaxed the dogs were and how much fun they were having on their walks exploring the property. I would happily send them to Heidi's Houndstay in the future.

Heidi is incredible, she absolutely pampers our baby. So much respect and care was shown to our puppy and to all of the dogs that I saw when I was in the vicinity. We will be booking in with the Heidi again. We had some pretty specific requirements for our stay and they backed us the entire time and helped to sort any issues out immediately. Heidi has been so kind and gentle with our baby. Having a French bulldog as many frenchie owners would understand is not easy finding appropriate sitters who take their condition seriously. Our Mini labradoodle had the best 3 night stay at Heidi’s Houndstay’s. Heidi made Locky feel at home immediately introducing him to several puppies who joined him in play. He had a blast and was exhausted from all the socializing during his stay. The property allows for a lot of off leash exploration on this gorgeous farm. A studio has been set up for the dogs over night stays and works perfectly as they feel right at home. Heidi shared photo’s of our dogs fun times while he was there, keeping us in the loop. It’s great to have a wonderful place for our dog to have a vacation while we’re away. Thanks so much.

I cannot recommend Heidi and Heidi’s Houndstay enough!! We left our 1.5 yo German Shepherd (Quincy) with Heidi for a few days while we were in Byron, it was the first time he’d ever stayed with someone he didn’t know and it was incredible! Heidi’s property is gorgeous with lots of different large areas (so the younger dogs can play while older ones relax or sleep!). Heidi also just knows dogs and has the utmost love and respect for them. She’s so knowledgeable and relaxed, which made both myself, my partner and Quincy feel comfortable having him there. She sent us plenty of photos and videos while he was there which was awesome! This is not at all a ‘kennel’ or a ‘dog motel’ - it’s honestly a holiday for your dog! Quincy had the best time, made some great new friends and will 100% be back!

We sent our 5 months old chocolate lab Moose to Heidi for half a day as we were going on a snorkelling trip. Heidi was friendly, professional and easy going. I could tell moose had an amazing time with Heidi and other puppies. He discovered his love for water while he was with Heidi and we’re so thrilled since we’ve been trying for months to get him to love water. We loved the fact she had a massive property where the dogs can run free, and enjoy the nature. She Took such good care of our Moose. We would definitely be returning back when we’re back in the Byron bay area. Just wish we found her earlier! I would highly recommend Heidi

Heidi is very calm, efficient and obviously mad about dogs. She has such rapport with them! She sends us regular videos and photos of our dog so we can see how happy he is, playing with other dogs. We’d absolutely recommend Heidi’s Houndstay - and so would Postie, if he could talk or type.

We love Carey's dog minding service because our dog loves it! Our Westie Peggy can't wait to join Carey's dogs as they are wonderful companions and make beach time extra special. Carey's professionalism, kind and caring nature combined with her skills with all dog breeds is priceless. Her property is generous, comfortable and clean. Her containment of the number of dogs she hosts mean they get excellent care and attention. We enjoy our time away because of the confidence and security Carey provides. Peggy has such a fine time that we are tempted to book ourselves in! And we promise to be good!!😀😀

Carey is absolutely wonderful taking care of the dogs. Our Frankie goes once a week to daycare and has just started staying over. We know she is in such good hands and do not worry about her. She loves the beach trips and making new friends. Highly recommend! 🐶

Millie is a regular day care and overnight veteran with Carey at Paradise for Pooches and she loves it!. It’s a definite stress free service and Carey’s love for dogs is abundantly clear in the way they respond to her. Finding a safe and caring environment to leave our fur baby is so important - we can’t recommend Paradise for Pooches highly enough!

We just LOVE Carey. Buster has been in paradise 2 days a week and the odd night for over a year and he is always sooooo excited to play w all the other dogs that Carey has all under control very well! I mean 2 walks a day at the beach! Amazing! Carey is such a caring woman and deeply respects the animals and is very friendly and easy w us owners!!! Can highly highly recommend Carey and her service to anyone who loves their dogs!! Xxxx

Hello! Peggy the Westie here! I have just returned home from another awesome little stay with Carey and friends. As soon as I got a "whiff" of my holiday destination I started to whinge and carry on in the car. Then I nearly dislocated my mum's arm in my eagerness to join my hosts. As soon as my leash was removed I took off to play and even forgot to say bye bye to mum and dad ...oops! (Although I have made amends with an extra big loop -the-loop hello upon their return.) Mum says that all my compliments about Carey's may mislead people to think that I live in a small cardboard box and do nothing. In truth, I have a wonderful life and home full of love and adventure. I say that just goes to show how good it is at Carey's.....if it can excite a spoiled kid like me it must be paradise!!

Carey is just wonderful, can't recommend her enough. Fantastic with dogs, huge and safe fenced yard - right across from the beach. My dog loves her two dogs as well.

Most awesome dog carer, trainer and entertainer! Our little Lloyd loves hanging with his besties and Carey at the beach and in her massive backyard. And he comes home with manners!

Naomi provides an excellent service that ensures we are able to go away for work or holidays without a worry. She is an excellent and reliable pet sitter. On a number of occasions she has looked after our pets with short notice and has done a fantastic job. Our boys are not the easiest to work with, they are often stubborn and disobedient but Naomi treats them with love and care. She will often send updates and pictures and is very easy to work with when unexpected challenges arise. Naomi goes above and beyond and is very trustworthy while we are away. We are very happy with and highly recommend Just Like Home Petsitters.

Our little pomeranian stayed with Naomi and her Mum at "Just Like Home Petsitters" in Bilambil for 7 weeks while we travelled through Europe and Egypt. He was extremely well looked after. Naomi treats all animals like her own and did such a wonderful job. We were always kept informed on how our little man was going through both messages and photos. This made it so much easier for us to enjoy our travels knowing he was enjoying his holiday too. Thanks so much Naomi.

Can not thank Miff and Jodie enough for taking care of our Labradoodle Zeke whilst we were up in Byron. The love and care they provide is like no other! Our boy had the best time and was so well looked after. The photos and check ins we received gave us complete peace of mind whilst away. The Grateful Dog isn’t like your typical dog stay, no cages just freedom, fun, cuddles, play and love. Plus he has come back with so many extra social skills which has been a complete added bonus. They simply are the best and we definitely highly recommend.

Donna and Farrah from Beyond Boarding Pet Services are simply the best! We needed someone who has a very good understanding of canine behaviour to mind our spoodle, Max, who is a special case. He's a rescue dog with a few issues - he resource guards, has separation anxiety and can get a bit stroppy at night, but most times he's an adorable, affectionate, happy doggo. We've owned Max for just over 12 months and until now we've been reluctant to leave him with anyone as we were nervous of how he would behave particularly at night. We had tickets to Cirque du Soleil, so we needed to figure out what to do with Max at night - leave him alone at home for seven hours, board him overnight in a commercial dog kennel, or have a dog sitter mind him in his own home. We nervously chose the latter not knowing how Max would behave at night. All went well at the start with Max immediately bonding with Farrah giving her lots of loving licks and tail wagging. However, during the course of the evening while my husband and I were being spellbound by the magic of Cirque du Soleil, Max's night time stroppy persona appeared so instead of a tail wagging happy doggy, Max became growly and anti-social. Although disappointed that they were missing out on lots of cuddles, Donna and Farrah calmly accepted his behaviour while texting me updates for which we were very grateful. Thank you Donna and Farrah for putting up with Max's bad manners so calmly and competently. It means a lot to us that you were there for Max and at no time did you loose your cool!

Donna walked our beautiful labrador Charlie for a number of years in Sydney and we miss her kind, compassionate care. Charlie was always super excited to see her and stood at the window waiting for her when I said Donna was coming! We can't recommend her highly enough to take care of your fur babies. She is amazing! Donna took care of our 2 dogs and 2 cats beautifully while we were overseas for 19 days. We cannot recommend Donna's services highly enough. We have already recommended her to our family and friends and will continue to use her services for any future pet sitting. It made a considerable difference to our holiday knowing that Donna was caring for our fur babies. She sent pictures and updates daily which meant we could enjoy our holiday without stressing about our pets. Our family Dog, Benny is use to company and walks. Having recently bought a caravan we are away now regularly. I called Donna after reading reviews and haven’t looked back. She has such genuine love for him. She speaks kindly to him and he is always happy upon our return. I love knowing that she will be coming to visit him and have a good lengthy walk everyday. Donna helped me out of a bind over Christmas time… i was a new customer and she was fully booked however she went out of her way to squeeze us in and accommodate our Bearded Dragon Bruno! Whilst Donna was not very familiar with caring for Bearded Dragons she quickly learnt and followed us up with questions whilst we were away rather than just leaving him! She was wonderful with his care and he remained happy which is important with temperamental bearded dragons! Will happily use her service again ☺️

Our pets are like our children so we really want to make sure when we go away that they are well looked after . Both my cat and dog prefer to stay at home so when we found Donna from Beyond Boarding all our worries were answered . They love their visits from Donna when we are away and bonus they get to stay together in the comfort of their own home . We couldn't recommend Donna high enough .

When my new puppy had a horrible dermatitis and needed twice a day bathing, Donna was on hand to give my little Cocker Spaniel all the love and scrubs she needed! I always came home from work to a lovely clean and dry puppy and most of all a very happy puppy! Thanks Donna

My two small dogs have had a number of holidays at Valley View. When we arrive there are no backward glances. They are super excited to see Sheila or Graham and don't give me a second thought. Highly recommended.

Don’t even want to click on the one star. When we arrived to collect our dog they informed us that they lost him. He was found sitting on the side of the highway and picked up by someone driving passed. Luckily he wasn’t run over. They had zero idea of how it happened and suggested that maybe another dog was being aggressive causing our dog to get scared and somehow escape. Our dog can’t even jump on our bed let alone scale a fence. After posting on a community fb group to help find our dog, I found out this has happened before although the staff stated ‘it has never happened before’ Will never recommend. They clearly do not offer a safe environment as advertised.

Our review is based on the dismissal of breeds not on the resort grounds itself. We are locals who were needing a place as last minutes to attend a funeral to look after our beautiful natured staffys, one old boy and younger pup. Upon great reviews from friends who board here regularly we contacted the business to have our dogs stay. Our dogs have stayed at resorts several times and at all times have reports they are loving, great playing with other pups and naturally sweet and well behaved. We were rejected at this business on the account of our dogs being staffys. This has been quite disappointing and as we are running out of time to find suitable accommodation and friends quite shocked they didn’t know this policy either. Hopefully we can find a good pet resort in the area that are well educated and better suited to loving and understanding of dogs nature rather then dismissal of breeds.

Our 8 month old puppy had the best holiday here 😃 They get 8 hours of outside play each day! Sheila and Graham are lovely and take great care of all the animals. Highly recommend for any pets in Tweed.

Missy was such a happy girl. She was a rescue dog and I usually get her looked after at home . I searced a few kennels and hated the thought she be in a cage . With only a few hours exercise time .At this resort she is allowed to run free all day .play with the other dogs .had home cooked food .like she at home . When I went to collect her .she was happy and running around with all rhe other dogs . The resort set in a beautiful setting . I feel like she had a holiday too .I most definitely will be taking her back . Thsnkyou for lokking after my missy xx

Nat at Happy Hounds looked after our two American Staffies boys at our wedding! She was very reliable & great communication leading up to our big day. We did a meet and greet a few months prior and I was very happy with how comfortable the dogs seemed to be with her from that meeting! She picked up our boys from our house, drove them to location and looked after them for 5+ hours before taking them home and feeding them and putting them to bed! Happy hounds was reasonable in pricing, but to me the peace of mind in having our fur babies at our wedding and so well cared for is priceless! I couldn’t have had my wedding day without them and Happy Hounds made that happen!

We had the absolute pleasure of having Happy Hounds care for our beloved Chester on our wedding day, and I can't recommend them enough! From the first interaction to the big day itself, Natalie’s professionalism & seamless communication gave us complete peace of mind. We were even able to arrange a meet & greet with Nicola the day before the wedding, which helped him get comfortable and familiar with her. If you're on the fence about getting a pet wedding sitter—don't hesitate! It was such a relief knowing Chester was in good, loving hands while we were caught up in the day's whirlwind. Nicola made everything effortless, from transporting Chester safely to & fro from the venue, provided him with plenty of love and attention, and making sure he was happy throughout the day. On the day itself, everything ran seamlessly. Chester had the best time—getting lots of love, pets, treats, and toys from Nicola. She ensured he was calm and comfortable while also helping him be part of some cherished moments, like walking down the aisle as our ringbearer! Nicola also took incredible photos and videos of Chester throughout the day, which were such a joy to receive and look back on. For anxious pets, and owners, your company and Hollie were a godsend! My pets (who normally only like us) were so happy and relaxed with Hollie at the meet and greet. We covered everything in person and I felt so relaxed. The updates and photo gave me so much comfort and I was able to go away for my wedding, knowing they were cared for and loved.

We used the overnight stay service and adventure walk on one of the days for our two border collie's. We were kept updated on how the boys went overnight with lots of photos. It’s so nice that they get to stay in their own house and familiar environment! What a great service! We will be using Happy Hounds again!

We used Happy Hounds (Natalie) as a Pet Wedding Attendant for our 7 month old puppy Millie on our special day. Nat was so professional & it was so great to have Millie present for a short moment on our wedding day. Millie was also looked after by Happy Hounds overnight & we were kept informed throughout the evening/night/morning with lots of photos & updates. Would 100% use Happy Hounds again & could not recommend them more :)
