Kelly was a wonderful pet sitter and house sitter! Our dog Cooper adored her. She sent us pictures several times a day and he was always snuggling with her. She kept in touch with us regularly. We have never left our baby before and we were anxious about it but we ended up feeling totally comfortable with Cooper in Kelly’s care. She also kept our potted plants alive during a heat wave and took great care of the house. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Carolina was a fantastic Pet sitter. From the beginning, it was straightforward to communicate with her. She met us before we left our trip and ensured she understood all the house and pet logistics. Luna and Cal were very comfortable with her and were best friends with her fast. She was very affectionate with them, and Luna and Cal loved her and were very happy with her. Carolina was very responsive and sent updates. She was really lovely and easy to communicate with. She was very respectful of our space and very tidy. She even washed the sheets and towels she used even when she didn’t need to. She put a lot of care into caring for Luna and Cal, and they looked very comfortable with her. Having Carolina as a pet sitter made our trip very easy, knowing our pets were cared for so well. We would love to have her back to sit for us again and highly recommend her.

Laura was an exceptional, reliable, and loving sitter for our goldendoodle Scout, and took such good care of our home! Scout was excited to meet Laura immediately when she arrived at our home for this sit, and showered Laura with all the hugs and kisses. Scout has recently been having issues with seizures, so for this sit I was specifically looking for a sitter who had a depth of experience with giving medication and responding calmly in the event of an emergency. It was a big relief to be able to entrust Scout to Laura's capable and kind hands, and it was extra special that Laura's beloved vizsla had shared the same name. Laura is wonderfully easy to communicate and coordinate with, and was thorough in her care of our home. We came back to our garden looking great, house left in even better shape than I left it to Laura, and a very happy Scout! I cannot overstate how much we appreciated Laura's care for Scout and our home, and heartily recommend her as a pet and house sitter. If you're lucky enough to get on Laura's schedule, your pups will be with the most wonderful stand-in dog mom you could have hoped for!

Toby and we were SO lucky to have Tom be our home and pet sitter for our Thanksgiving Holiday trip! From the very beginning Tom was responsive and communicative. He was even able to arrange a "meet and greet" with us and Toby before beginning his stay. While here Tom took great care of our home, and, most importantly, provided wonderful care of Toby! When we got home everything was in perfect order and we could tell that even though Toby was happy to see us he was going to miss Tom. I would be thrilled if we could have Tom as our zeewoi again. You will be lucky if he can do the same for you. :)

5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Laura was amazing with communication from the very beginning. She sent updates of photos and videos without even being told or asked to do so. She was watching our cat and treated her like her own. Laura was also very responsive when we were trying to find a sitter for our dates and answered any and all questions we had about her experience with pets and house sitting. I would recommend her to anyone! :) and hope we can have her house sit again for us.

Jerry and Suzanne were absolutely ideal sitters for our home and pets. We spoke with them ahead of their visit and could tell that they are genuine pet and travel lovers. Over their stay we got to see even more that they are wonderfully friendly, kind, and responsible - plus they kept us laughing with their updates and descriptions of our pets' antics while we were away. Our pets and plants were well loved and our house was spotless upon our return home, and they were even kind enough to leave a few goodies in the fridge. Jan is amazing. I travel from South Devon to leave my dogs with Jan she is so good. I have known her almost 20 years and she has looked after all the dogs I have had in that time - including elderly rescues. I wouldn't go any where else- she is amazing with all dogs and trustworthy - so worth the extra drive to know I will collect a happy, well cared for dog who loves it so much there they don't always want to come home.
We have used Jan at Langport for more than 10 years as we hated putting our Basset Hounds in kennels. She has a several acre field right next to the house where they are exercised frequently. In addition she takes them out for a proper walk each day.All the dogs of every breed sleep in her house and they all seem to love it. She is also very knowledgeable about dogs, horses and other pets. I think she has also just been awarded 5 stars by Defra. When one of our Bassets was ill she actually slept downstairs with her: an amazingly dedicated and kind lady.
Jan is excellent with our dogs. They are always happy there and sadly I feel at times they dont want to come home!
My dog goes here and he always comes home tired. And Jan is a nutter, she will walk the dogs come rain or shine

Our dog Billy absolutely loves going to Bev’s for day care, as he gets to spend the day doing his two favourite things - walking and snoozing! We re-homed him last year, and think he had spent a lot of his life being left alone at home for most of the day. Since going to Bev’s, Billy has become much more confident and playful, and his days at day care have helped him to socialise and make lots of doggy friends! Bev is so kind to all the dogs, and her background as a veterinary nurse gives us complete peace of mind. The dogs go out on exciting and varied walks, and can then relax in her comfortable home. We couldn’t ask for anyone better to care for Billy, and would recommend Bev’s services to everyone!
We are so grateful to Beverley and Flora for making Stan’s first stay with them a comfortable and well cared for one. The daily updates, photos and videos were a great comfort while we were away. My spaniel has a wonderful time with Bev, Flora and the daycare dogs. Bev is very caring and clearly puts time & effort into making sure the dogs are well integrated and happy. She takes them on lovely walks, which my active dog loves. Bev also provides videos and photos to show the happy time they are having in the beautiful countryside of South Somerset. I am very pleased with this special and unique service that ensures my dog is exercised, engaged and has an enriched experience. The dogs are well looked after and safe. He comes home after a good day with his friends, tail wagging and happy!!
Bev has visited our cat for the last 10 months on a regular basis and is absolutely excellent. She cares for our cat impeccably well and keeps us updated with WhatsApp photos/videos on every visit. Bev also ensures our home is secure and locked after each visit. Thankfully our pet has not been unwell whilst we have been away, but I am confident that Bev would address any illness issues of our cat swiftly and keep us informed. Thank you for all you do!
Our dog Bertie has a lovely time at daycare with Happy Pets and Paws. Bev makes sure all of the dogs get on well, they have different walks every day and lots of one on one interaction too as they are never in a big group. We also get lots of updates and videos on their walks. Would highly recommend for any daycare or walking services.
For assurance that your dogs and cats are in good hands when you go on holiday then get peace of mind with Bev at Happy Pets and Paws in Ilminster. After many years of excellent, caring attention we would highly recommend Bev. We have cats - at times many cats! - and they really do enjoy staying at home rather than going away for their holiday. They were getting stressed being taken away to holiday homes and then again on the return trip. Bev allows them to remain in their own familiar home in stress free surroundings. We have had cats with a wide range of ages and requirements, including some old timers like us requiring medications, but Bev provides all the care they need. As she is a qualified veterinary nurse, this is an obvious bonus because we know that she will spot if something is not right and will be on hand to sort it out. Bev also keeps us updated while we are away and you can hear the love and attention she provides. We have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone who wants a professional, caring and friendly ‘mum’ to keep your pampered ones happy while you are away.
Honey has a fabulous time with Bev and Flora (and the rest of the gang) Bev provides a caring service with excellent communication and is flexible with our working hours. We have used HPP for boarding as well and it is reassuring knowing Honey has so much fun while we are away. We especially like that Bev only accepts well mannered and sociable dogs. Would highly recommend and we intend to continue sending Honey to HPP for many years to come!
Highly qualified, very professional dog Walker and carer. Unhappy that we hadn’t used all of the same commands as she uses, for dog training. Has a very small garden. Own dog and our dog just didn’t click? No idea why. So despite having paid lots of money for a holiday we had to then cancel. When we tried to book again we were rejected. Lots of time wasted as we wanted someone for emergencies and dog free occasions like Weddings . Paid for test visits, and accepted. Then when we needed help we had to start searching all over again. I’m disabled and have limited mobility so this was a big problem.
My dog has been going to Happy Pets & Paws for daycare for about 7 years now, and still absolutely loves it. Bev provides a very high quality service and always puts the dogs and their welfare first, all whilst being extremely professional and totally reliable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her services.

Debbie is caring, efficient and professional. I have a nervous cat, and was worried about leaving her. I had no need to worry, as 'Moomoo' was very happy with Debbie... and she loved the cat treats! We were concerned at first about using a service and a stranger to look after our nervous cat Mia, but we couldn’t have been more wrong. Debbie soon put our fears to bed and we couldn’t have asked for someone better to look after her. It’s a fantastic service and I’m so pleased that I didn’t have to leave Mia in a strange cattery. When we returned from holiday Mia was happy & chilled, all her food bowls were clean and plenty of water in her bowl. We will certainly use Debbie & pet sitting again and can’t recommend this service highly enough.

From being picked up in style, to the daily pics/ vids (can I say almost professional photoshoots!) , to kindly administering his medication, to taking some pics of him to celebrate our wedding day, to having a direct line to Mike & Rebecca, to a goodie bag of homemade biscuits in a beautiful jute bag, to him returning home smelling AMAZING from his pampering session. Our miniature dachshund recently stayed with The Country Dog hotel, he does suffer from separation anxiety so we worried greatly about how he’d get on, but we needn’t have worried, they cared for our pup just like we do. When he was a bit anxious and sick, they had him checked over by their vet just to be on the safe side and kept us constantly updated, he even got to sleep in the human bed…on their heads and had loads of snuggles…he knows how to get what he wants! Nothing was too much trouble for them. We had regular updates, pictures and constant reassurance that our pup was doing great, in fact I think he wishes he could have stayed for longer! He was picked up and dropped back home in style, and even got some home baked dog biscuits with his name on. Thank you to everybody at the country dog hotel for looking after our Ralph and giving him a nice luxury holiday for 5 days and being the best at what you do, we had no doubt that he was cared for, loved and safe throughout his stay.
The Country Dog Hotel is absolutely incredible! Our cocker spaniel Archie was looked after from the moment he got picked up. Becks and Mike are so wonderful, as are all of the staff, and really make it feel like Archie is staying with family. They offer an amazing service and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough! It is all of the little touches that really show how much passion the team has - from all of the photos and videos you get sent, the spa treatments in a roll top bath, to the personalised home made biscuits he came home with! If you’re going on holiday, there is no place like it to know that your dog will be treated like part of a family!
Our labradoodle, Milo, recently had a VIP vacation at The Country Dog Hotel. I was worried about him staying as he does suffer with some anxiety from being away from us, but he had a splendid time and really enjoyed his 5* lifestyle. Nothing was too much trouble and I received lots of photos and updates from Mike to put my mind at rest. He had such a fantastic time that all he has done is sleep since! Milo will definitely be back for a stay in the future as I know his every need will be catered for and he will have so many amazing adventures. I highly recommend The Country Dog Hotel to any dog owner as it’s a home away from home experience.
Our dog Duffy had a wonderful stay here! Love seeing her smile in each photo. She enjoyed so many different fun activities there and even had a spa day! It’s good to have such a nice dog hotel and to know our beloved dog is in good hands. Can’t recommend highly enough!
Well picked our dog up last night and all he did was pine on the way home. I dont think he wanted to leave after 21 days. He looks healthier than when we dropped him off! Had regular updates while on holiday. Thank you for looking after him
After long and tedious searches to have our little girl whilst we were away we were so fortunate to find the Country Dog Hotel, Rebecca, Mike and the Team were absolutely fabulous and so professional. On our arrival we felt so happy and relaxed that Bella was staying at this amazing doggy hotel, it has the most idyllic surroundings for your loved one to be exercised and meet new friends whilst out on their daily walks. We received daily videos from the team which again gave us the reassurance that Bella was having a fabulous time and looked so happy. Our dog Bunty had a lovely stay here. She came back happy and settled into her normal routine straight away. She also had the Indulgence Spa treatment and she looked amazing. Best groomers around. My dog is a very small Jack Russell and quite difficult to groom and have her nails clipped. Jacky and all her staff are so friendly and very good at putting her at her ease, that she never wants to leave. Very handy as they will do her nails without an appointment too. (Photo is from her Christmas visit, when she got a beautiful bow to add to the festive cheer 😊)
Second hand strip for Freddie Royal . Excellent service from all, Elaine on reception and Jordon hand stripping Freddie . He looked amazing and totally happy . You’re all lovely friendly caring people, be back .
Barney loves coming here on his holidays. He gets great care and lots of hugs from the staff. He had a bath before coming home so was looking great when I picked him up.
Awful experience with these groomers, we have used them for our dog for a number of years, but unfortunately on the 2 occasions our regular lady was off he has been poorly treated. The first occasion they choked him and almost killed him. This should of been enough of a warning to us, but we gave them the benefit of the doubt, and continued to use them (as his regular lady was back). Unfortunately she is off work again now and at his last groom, the replacement lady cut his ear so bad he had to have stitches at the vet, this also meant shaving too access the wound and shaving around his face to secure a bandage, as well as shaving his leg too sedate him. He's been left with permanent damage and a very strange looking haircut for now with all his bald patches. Despite this the groomers still insisted on full payment for the mutilation service they had provided. I might of been able to get over this, as mistakes happen, but the manager I spoke too was so rude I was genuinely shocked. (Also our dog is a very calm sweet natured toy poodle, who has been regularly groomed causing no problems since he was a puppy)
I used Ashgate Dog Grooming Services recently for a coat hand-strip, scissor cut and groom for my spaniel. The finish was excellent as was the service - thank you so much! I would highly recommend.

Took our shih tzu here for the first time today for a groom. Friendly and welcoming staff. We were consulted about what we wanted done and any issues they needed to be aware of. Beth did his groom today and she did an amazing job, just what we wanted and he smells lovely too. Our dog was looked after throughout. Reasonably priced, great reminder text message system and booking confirmation emails.

Lily & Rosco say they loved Paws and Klaws when they rented out a field they had so so much fun esp Lily as she cannot be let off as her recall is so bad so she made the most of every second! Lily and Rosco absolutely recommend it as it’s enclosed and safe with fabric up so the dogs can’t see anything through the fence it has lots of agility equipment in it and water bowl and lots of tennis balls to chase they can’t plant it and will be returning as soon as possible they are both tired out and sleeping! (COLLIES)
If would come every day if I could ! Absolutely fantastic !!! I cannot recommend enough! I hired the pool and it was incredible. Spare towels, plenty of balls, shelter if needed, a net to get toys out of the water, a ladder for accessibility for humans and even doggy planks for them to get out of the water! Though it’s been over a year, I still feel strongly about what happened during my dog’s stay, so I wanted to share my experience. I had booked my Giant Schnauzer into Paws and Claws for a three-week stay while I was due to travel to Australia. After just one day, however, I received a call from the kennel informing me that my dog had bitten a staff member’s finger, and they insisted I collect him immediately despite my travel plans. Their website promises that pets will be 'cuddled, stroked, warm, loved, played with, and kept in utmost comfort throughout their stay,' but in my case, it seemed they were unprepared to handle a breed like a Giant Schnauzer. My dog has a protective nature and can be anxious around unfamiliar people. I believe that, due to this lack of understanding, a staff member was bitten while trying to photograph him. If you have a dog with an anxious or protective temperament, I recommend seeking a kennel with experience handling similar breeds. This experience was both stressful and disappointing, and I would advise others to be cautious if they own dogs with similar needs.
Booked to use the secure field so my younger pup could have some off lead fun with my older dog. Great facilities, dogs had a blast and loved all the agility equipment.
Amazing place for you dog, we used their day care when we travelled to Yeovil, and we were welcome very warmly! It was a first for Snow, and she did not want to go back home! Very highly recommended!
Took my boy, and my friends dog to paws n klaws today, my first time not theirs. We had an absolute blast. The staff were so beyond kind and helpful. The dogs had the beat time and so did we the pool was the perfect temp aswell during the heat. We can't wait to come back 🙌 …

What a setup and what an amazing bunch of people. Lulu LOVES doggy daycare. They pick her up drop her off and she has the best time with all her buddies.
Charlie loves it at Paws n Klaws - he is so excited when he arrives and doesn't want to leave. The staff are fantastic.

My 2 dogs have been boarding with Tina and Dave for the last 10 years. Absolutely fantastic service and they always have a great time. 2 days before the dogs last stay one was diagnosed with an illness and arrived with lots of meds and prescribed food. Tina and Dave are so experienced they reassured us all would be ok and it was. Our dog was back to his bouncy self when we picked him up. I cannot recommend this kennels enough.

We have used Wood Drive on many occasions and Bryn has always been very well looked after. He is not a good mixer but Tina selects other dogs for him to play with so he always has company in the exercise area. They are always our first choice of kennels
First time using Wood Drove Boarding Kennels. We left our boy for two weeks. We were afraid that when we got back he would have put weight on. When we picked him up we could see he was looked after and he was happy. We will definitely bring our boy back. Thanks Tina and her team for looking after our boy.
I thoroughly recommend this kennels! We've been taking our nervous and reactive GSD X to Wood Drove since the rescue centre she came from recommended Tina and Dave almost 10 years ago. Tina and Dave are wonderful with her (as they are with all dogs!), and we'd never want to take her anywhere else.
We were recommended Wood Drove by friends and they were absolutely right, Tina and Dave are brilliant with our dog. She trots off happily with them and we love seeing the photos posted on Facebook whilst we are away. She clearly enjoys her time away and we recommend Wood Drove without hesitation.

First time for Leonard going to the kennels and I’m not going to lie we were rather anxious to leave him for 4 days. When dropping him off they were very friendly and knowledgeable and that put us at ease. When picking him up they said he had the best time and very well behaved. He looked really happy. He can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend. Leonard will see you soon.
