Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

Mary was fantastic from start to finish and looked after our elderly dog with love and attention to her needs. She also looked after our home with respect and care. We couldn't have asked for a nicer sitter and would highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.
Natalie and Christian were dream pet sitters while we were out of the country for 2.5 weeks. From start to finish, they were reliable and professional, with excellent communication. They had took great care of our dog and chickens and left the house and car in great shape. Plus, they’re just a really sweet young couple. We’d highly recommend them as house sitters.
Bryan and Dana were the perfect sitters for Cella. We were delighted that they were able to arrive a day early so that we could enjoy dinner with them and get to know one another. We would be honored to have them sit again. On top of their great care they left us a thoughtful friendship gift. zeewoi continues to be the best site ever. Not only do we have great pet sitters for Cella, we also have the opportunity to meet great new friends. Thank you!!
I enjoyed meeting Samara. Sosha arrived after I left so we only communicated in writing. Samara is a sweet, considerate pet sitter. She brought her cat, who posed no difficulties to my pets. Samara was in good communication with me during her stay. She used my car without incident. My home was left much cleaner than upon her arrival. Samara proved to be an honest and responsible pet sitter and I would open my home to her at any time in the future.
Melanie and Steve were excellent house & pet sitters. They sent me so many pictures of my 3 cats without me even asking and it made me so happy to see them enjoying their company. I'd say out of all the house sitters I've had, they spent the most time with my cats which means a lot to me. They are kind, easy to connect with and I'd welcome them back anytime. As far as caring for my house - top notch.
Ce was an amazing house sitter for our best bud Atlas. She not only took amazing care of our needy pup, she took great care of the home as well. I honestly think she left it cleaner than I left it for her! We certainly hope she is around the next time our best friend needs a friend. If you're looking for a responsible caregiver for your pets and home - look no further!
Elaine was the best dog and cat sitter I have ever had! She was so loving to the boys, kind, reliable, capable and took fabulous care of my two dogs and cat welfare. Walked them every day and would even sing to them (-: I am so very grateful to have had the pleasure of meeting Elaine and I would recommend Elaine to anyone wanting first class care of pets and home!!! We all miss having her around and wish her a fabulous world trip and safe journey back to the States.
Jeremy and Brooke were fantastic! We have a senior dog and a over hyper pittie. They gave Daisy her meds and had lengthy walks with Fin to burn off some of his energy. Brooke sent me regular texts to show me precious pictures of the pups by the Christmas tree, which warmed my ❤️. The house looked great when we returned. They are awesome detailed sitters and will make your pets feel loved and secure!!
Gowri was very patient and caring with Irisi who got sick the day before I left. I cannot commend her enough for how she rose to the occasion and took care of my baby. She even pick up meds from the vet. My cat, Squinty, was very comfortable with her to jump in bed and wake her up early in the morning (as he would with me). I am not aware of him doing that to other sitters that have stayed at my place. I would give her 6 stars for Pet care if I can! She updated me with Irisi's condition which really help ease my mind, knowing someone looking after my furry really cared. I would certainly have her back again!
What an amazing couple we had as pet sitters for our two dogs! You can truly feel their love for animals. Nancy sent pictures a couple of times letting us know that they were having fun also with our Cody and Carson! Our home was perfect when we got home. They even left a beautiful potted flower and card on our island in our kitchen. We highly recommend this couple! Jim & Wanda

Pack walks have been amazing for my new young rescue dog. She's friendly, but also a bit feral and timid. At the recommendation of our trainer, we signed her up with OC Pup Scouts and the walks have boosted her confidence in meeting new people and dealing with new places & experiences, and especially loud noises (like landscapers or construction noise). She gets to have a ton of fun and be with other dogs (and learn from them too). I like also that they assess the dogs before taking them on, and that it's a structured walk with experienced handlers. Fantastic Experience with OC Pup Scouts! We've had the absolute pleasure of entrusting our beloved dog, Ollie, to the care of OC Pup Scouts, and we couldn't be happier with the experience! From the first interaction, it was clear that this is a team of dedicated professionals who truly love what they do. Communication has been a breeze with OC Pup Scouts. They are incredibly responsive and attentive, making the process of scheduling and arranging services seamless. It's evident that they prioritize the well-being of the dogs and go above and beyond to accommodate our schedule. One of the standout features of OC Pup Scouts is their commitment to keeping our furry friends active and engaged. Ollie comes home happy and exhausted after each outing with the pack, thanks to their well-organized and stimulating exercises. It's evident that the team understands the importance of physical and mental stimulation for our canine companions. Evan, the dog trainer at OC Pup Scouts, is nothing short of a magician! His expertise and passion for working with dogs shine through in the results we've seen with Ollie. Evan's positive and patient approach has not only improved Ollie's (and Charley - our other dogs who doesn't walk) behavior but also strengthened the bond between us and our furry family member. In summary, we highly recommend OC Pup Scouts to anyone looking for top-notch dog care and training services. Their professionalism, communication, and dedication to the well-being of our pets have exceeded our expectations. Thanks to OC Pup Scouts, Ollie (and Charley) is not just a pet; he's a happy and well-adjusted member of the family!
OC Pup Scouts is a very personable, reliable, conscientious, organized, trustworthy dog walking service. They are quick to respond via phone and pet portal. Each different walker seems to care about and enjoy being with the animals. The walks are all throughout the area with lots of variety and photographs of my pooch and his new friends. Great socialization along with exercise. Their online system makes it very easy to set up a schedule for the month, making changes as needed. I highly recommend OC Pup Scouts!
My mini golden doodle Steve gives 2 paws up for Pup Scouts 🐾!! He loves their program and so do I. The scout leaders are professional and come to get Steve and drop him off so I don’t have to worry. The leaders help guide your pooch to learn how to walk with the pack so they get exercise, socialization, and training while on their walks. Since joining the scouts, Steve has pulled less on our walks so I know it is working and he is so happily tired when he gets home. It’s been a real pleasure working with Pup Scouts. Best value out there for your pup.
Definitely recommend, my boy Aussie loves his weekly walks with OC Pup Scouts. His pack walker can be downstairs across the courtyard and he’ll get all excited cause somehow he knows shes here and its about to be a fun day. I love that they send pictures of the walks with a message of how things went. I have also noticed Aussie’s confidence around dogs has improved, which is one of the reasons we started. Provides him with good socialization.
There is NO better dog walking service in SOCAL. I have A 4.5 year old GSD and on occasion he can be a handful. Not with Pup Scouts. This dog waits by the door on his walk days and turns circles to go walk with his friends. The service from Pup Scouts is exceptional. I trust them with my big friend and the best part…his love for them and their walkers. Exceptional in every aspect of their service. If your dog is walking with someone else…that’s your mistake 😎
100% recommend OC Pupscouts! I found them one day on Instagram and signed my dog Stevie up right away. We did daycare prior so she had learned that being with a dog meant play time. And that’s just not always the case. She was a little nervous at first and they were so sweet with her, went slow with her and made her feel comfortable. Now she has no problems and enjoys her pack walks and dog friends. She knows it’s not playtime in the van and behaves and is able to socialize with dogs without rough playing. And it’s good for her mental stimulation also. She learned some walking manners and she walks right next to me without pulling or getting distracted by her surroundings (although she has always been a good walker, she’s just better now). And she behaves much better at home after she’s been with the pack. The pictures are the best part! So happy I found OC Pupscouts!
You want a sleepy guy?? Pupscouts all the way! He loves his pals, Jennifer and Jenevieve. They take such good care of him. Moose can be a jerk but the leadership the gals have and their structure with the dogs is amazing. I certainly couldn’t keep a heap of dogs in line!! They are amazing and so appreciated
OC Pup Scouts has been an absolute god send to us and our furry muppet, Stella. She’s naturally timid and fearful but through her pack walks has gained so much socialization and new friends! We adore all the walkers but have to say, Miranda is THE BEST! Thank you OC Pup Scouts!!!
OC Pup Scouts is one of the best things that has happened to Karl. Karl is our COVID addition to the family and was a rescue. Immediately after beginning with OC Pup Scouts we noticed a difference in how Karl interacted with dogs and walking on leash. The socialization and experience he’s had with the pack and the pack leaders was a game changer for Karl. He learned how to be appropriate with other dogs and loves being able to be with his buddies on a weekly basis. Karl always looks forward to his pack walks and comes home happy and tired. We love getting photos of his day and I appreciate how responsive and accommodating OCPS is with my last minute requests. When I’m not home and I see Karl getting picked up on our Ring camera I love seeing how happy he is to get picked up. All the pack leaders are amazing, but Karl definitely has tremendous love for Layla. 💕. We are comforted and reassured that Karl is in great hands when under the care of OC Pup Scouts.
If you love your dog DO NOT trust anyone else with your animal. Dogs are family members and deserve to stay at or be trained by Paul at K-9 city!
K9 City and Paul are simply amazing! Came from out of town for a visit and Paul was knowledgeable and helpful and gave my little guys a wonderful place to stay on our busy days of the trip. My mini bull terrier is intact(not neutered) which is a deal breaker for a lot of places but not for Paul or K9 City, they were even great with my small temperamental chihuahua. Thanks Paul and K9 City if you were in the Seattle area I would bring my little guys to you all the time.
Paul has worked with our rescue dogs for the last few years. He does an amazing job... Its important to understand the personalities of a dogs pulled from the shelter. And his training is great!... Thank you Paul for all that you do!
Paul worked wonders with our two terriers. Our dogs are not so easy to work with. They are constantly in a state of challenging each other in the pack order, would take commands as suggestions, and would leave us the token "f-you" pee 'accident' around the house when they were particularly displeased with us. We also had concerns about our pups when I got pregnant. They had some issues with pack order and were not the best behaved. Our last session with him was about a week before I went into labor. He visited our home and worked with the dogs in a familiar environment to them so he could help us troubleshoot behaviors/mannerisms that might not have presented when they were in a strange environment. They recently started "slipping" (due to the slackittude of the owners) and he got us in asap and we are now enrolled in "owner re-training" 😀 I have, and will continue to, recommended Paul and his facility. Worth every penny.
Paul is amazing. I have a "challenging" Cocker Spaniel and in just a few sessions, the dog is happier and not as reactive. Paul knows how to handle all temperaments of dogs, and how to train the owners (like me) to work with the dog. I also board my dog with Paul, and my formerly reactive dog interacts fine with the other dogs. It is miraculous!
Paul was amazing person, we really appreciated everything he do to help us to understanding, to training, correct wrong things- but with love for my baby Macho on his behavior. After 10days with Paul, Macho when home totally different...hopefully his can stay like that ...forever 😊 Thank you so much Paul and the staff at K9 City Play' n Stay. ( an other things...the grooming was the best ever 👍🥰 )
As the founder of an all-breed rescue, I can sincerely say that Paul has been a blessing for our dogs. He has worked miracles, many in just under an hour and for our more severe cases of aggression, he has worked wonders in a few days. Thank you Paul for all you do!
I wouldn't give him a Full star but I had to rate it. My situation was soo serious. Maybe Paul , owner, takes on easier dogs. IDK but my dog was between 1-2yrs old at the time, gad been in 2 shelters for over 6 months prior to me adopting her, she is perfect with my husband and I but Barked at noises, people walking by our apartment. She had social anxiety esp. With large built men, the shelter Never told me only specific people could get her out of her kennel. Pual showed No patience he wanted to go straight to a Shock Collar after 2 private visit and 1 class. I could not do the classes because she wasn't ready, yet. Paul is one of the worst trainers I've worked with.I would keep him posted on her progress by me calling him. Always calling him. Never did I get a call to check up w me even when we did not show for the next class. He knew she was a bit more challenging. He has a big ego. Will NEVER refer this place no matter how much he talks about his accomplishments.
My Kangaroo, I mean Great Dane loves Uncle Payl at K9 City! Otis is not the best guy around others, but Paul training and patience with him has helped us tremendously. We also take Otis there for over night stays when we are out of town. We are so appreciative of K9 City and their willingness to take on this large grumpy dog!
Paul Yevlov is a awesome dog trainer,he's absolutely the best .Paul trained our Irish Setter 20 years ago and she was amazing .now we have two new puppies and are delighted to have Paul train them to also be excellent K-9 citizens.Paul truly does the community a great service and we can't say enough about how great he is .Thank You
The best doggy sitter/walker service ever, our dogs are absolutely in love with them. They are so reliable, provide updates on the dogs regularly with pictures, making sure they are well taken care of when you are not home. Everyone in the Woofs & Wags all have a great personality, very patient, very polite, you know immediately they are good people, and you can truest them 100% with your dogs. We want to give a big thank you to Brandon, he is such a good guy, an angel, we are so grateful to have him. Thank you Brandon, thank you Woofs & Wags for your great service!
Our Goldendoodle has been going to Woofs and Wags for 5 years. Jay and Sara treat our 12 year old pup like one of their own. We get daily photos of her romps on the beach, trails and parks. We highly recommend them for your pup, too!!
By far the best dog walkers we have ever had. We can see the love they showed to the dogs as soon as we came back from our trip. The dogs cant wait to see the walkers each time.
Amazing experience, they took great care of our 2 dogs! Highly recommend
Our dog is always happy to go there! They take all the dogs to the park and walk them. A very friendly family and professional service! I highly recommend!
Jay & Sara at Woofs and Wags take care of our little lady whenever we are gone - we wouldn't have it any other way. They go above and beyond!
Best dog walkers in southern California
Quality service, nice people.
Great place
My dog has been going to the Zuri for boarding for about 5 years. I appreciate all the staff and how well they care for my dog. I always get her bathed before I pick her up and the groomers do a fantastic job. The groomers always give her a new bandana, man tie or a bow tie. I love that while I am on vacation enjoying myself, my dog is also hanging out with other dogs and enjoying herself. She always comes home tired. I also love that while I am away I can look at my dog enjoying herself on the Zuri live feed cameras. I also take advantage of the vaccination clinic that the Zuri has at their location once a month. I only have wonderful things to say about The Zuri. The report cards they send with her pictures always make me smile while I am away from home. I am able to relax and enjoy my family’s vacation knowing that our dog is being cared for fully. OMG and the holiday photos. I love and appreciate it all. Thank you Zuri! You are the best!
We have always had a great experience at Zuri Pet Spa. Hector has been our Groomer the past few times and he is amazing! He asks a lot of questions to make sure he knows exactly what cut you want and takes notes so you don’t have to repeat yourself for your next appointment. He’s made great suggestions when our Goldendoodle gets matted and/or is shedding more than normal.
The entire Zuri Family is wonderful! Every time I drive up Calle Perfecto my dog gets excited. Every staff member is very loving and patient with my "ball of energy". I have complete peace of mind when he is there especially when he has an overnight stay.
I do like Zuri for my pups and that they have nice pet rooms. However I wasn’t advised beforehand that there would be a charge for putting eye drops for one of my pups. Also, I wasn’t able to access the web cam. Overall I think it’s a nicer boarding facility than most. I will be back.
Have been taking our pup here for daycare and boarding for the last year and a half. Sawyer and the staff are always kind and love our little furry pup. They take such good care of her and she definitely is always excited to go. Thank you for loving her!!
Love Zuri. Have trusted them with many dogs through the years and have never been disappointed.
I’ve been going to zuri in San Juan for many years now for grooming and boarding, but I have to say that my last few experiences haven’t been the best. The communication on when to pick up for grooming and pricing isn’t the same. I get told one thing like I’ll receive a text or call when my dog is ready and I don’t hear anything. Then, when I try to call no one picks up. I’ll leave a message if I’m waiting too long and I still have to wait to hear back for quite a while. There’s been a few times at pick up that the price is over what I expected with little information, so when I ask to speak with the groomer to go over what we discussed the front comes out and tells me something the dog “needed”. I never have been a person to complain or question, but the last couple times I’ve felt this way. I think it comes down to miscommunication, or no communication. Today, the gentleman that helped me was super kind and helpful, but in the past It hasn’t been this way. I’ve also spoke to someone in the past after emailing them about my last grooming experience with this same exact thing and I felt like I was questioned rather than just explaining the details. I’m at the point where I feel frustrated even just calling to try to speak with someone and looking for other options for boarding and grooming. I hope this helps with the future of zuri because I used to love it there and always feel safe boarding my animals. It’s purely communication in my opinion. Maybe someone who strictly deals with calls, pick up, and questions? Just a thought.
We have been boarding our Labrador here for the past 4 years and it’s been a good experience. Staff is great to work with. Our pup gets lots of pets and attention. He loves the daycare enrichment program. Highly recommend it!
My two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels have been going to Zuri Pet Spa for almost five years. They love going to Zuri for daycare, boarding and grooming. Everyone at Zuri takes great care of our fur babies and we are very grateful. I would highly recommend Zuri for anyone looking for a caring, loving and clean environment for your pet’s care.
Zuri (San Juan Capistrano) cared for our female Belgian Malinois for 4.5 days. We were impressed with several aspects of their approach and facilities: 1) A 'practice day' to evaluate her reaction to a typical day at the 'spa', 2) A comprehensive pre-stay questionnaire, 3) the ability to maintain her diet and eating times, 4) the option for interaction with other dogs (play-group) or personalized one-on-one care such as walks and agility training several times a day, 5) the ability to live-stream the play group during the day where we observed her interactions with other dogs and the pack-leadership displayed by the individual in the room (monitoring the dogs) and 6) a personalized 'report card' each evening that provided photo evidence and summarized her interactions, overall behavior and personality. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the care, facilities and additional care options available at Zuri. Highly recommended. Dr. S., Dana Point
Mike of Mike's Pet Care has been great! We have 2 cats and we have always returned with them well taken care of and the kitties happy! Mike is very responsive with communication, his rates are more than fair and his past experience keeps our mind at ease that he would be able to handle any issue with the cats. We have used him multiple times now and he makes sure to go above and beyond and is very professional - will take in mail, packages that happen to come and he even dealt with a (huge!) ant issue when we were gone without so much of a mention! Highly recommend! ~Nicole Cozean
Mike has been our go to guy when it comes to our pup. He saved us a handful of times when we were running late and couldnt get home in time to feed/walk our dog. Super communicative & responsive. Also great with our temperamental pup! Mikes a lover of all animals and will surely take good care of your pet!
Mike is awesome! We have a very geriatric cat, 18 yrs, and she is a handful and diva all rolled into one. Mike takes great care of her and all her medical needs. We are so happy to find a pet sitter like him. With his background he is not afraid to take charge and is very comfortable with any animal. He has a big heart for the furry friends and our cat is so lucky!
Mike has taken care of our “uniquely tempered” dog now several times, and Mike has not only earned our trust but, importantly, he has developed the trust of our “crazy” dog. Our dog is a rescue and came with a very skeptical and anxious outlook on other humans and dogs. But Mike was patient and determined to win over our dog’s anxieties, and with his professional and expert ways, Mike succeeded. We feel very blessed that we can rely on Mike.
Mike is the absolute best. He has been pet sitting for me regularly since early 2021. He always goes above and beyond -- he brings in the mail, packages, and always checks to make sure the house is okay while you are out of town. He is very responsive to all messages and check in, texts updates regularly and will often post sweet surprises of your furry friends to his Instagram. He is trustworthy, responsible and reliable. I recommend Mike to all our South County friends in need of a pet sitter. He is awesome!!!
Mike is AWESOME! He was super communicative while we were away, sending brief daily texts with pictures and/or videos making us laugh and feel good knowing that our dog was happy and being well cared for. We’ll definitely be using him again and wouldn’t hesitate to refer him to our friends & family! 🐾 …
Mike is truly a find. He is reliable, trust worthy, and your pet will love him. He has been providing in home care for my eleven year old lab for the past few years when we travel. His care allows my older dog to stay in our home where he is most comfortable, all while receiving attention, walks and love. I am so grateful for Mike because he provides peace of mind and flexibility to our busy family!
Mike is super knowledgeable about animal care and is a professional. I recently moved to the area and was nervous about trusting a new pet sitter with my 2 cats (one of which needs daily medication). I have now been using Mike's pet sitting service for almost 4 months and found Mike to be reliable and trustworthy. Even when I was on vacation for more than a week, the cats were doing great when I got back. It is a huge worry off of my shoulders to know that the house is being watched and the animals are well cared for when I am away. It is also a huge plus that in case there is a medical emergency, Mike has a vet tech background. And thanks Mike for the cat photos!
I have used many pet sitters over the past 10 years for our kitties. Mike is by far the most qualified, intelligent and caring sitter you will find. Mike is a person whose job is their passion and he intuitively knows the nature of animals. Mike is someone you can trust and feel comfortable with in your home with your pets, this is reflected in the outstanding work he does for our family. Mike was also able to accommodate our special needs kitty with diabetes, which is a rare find for a sitter. Mike is not your average pet sitter, he is reserved for those who love and treat their pets as family members, thank you Mike.
Mike has been unbelievable! We moved to San Clemente a few months ago and could not be happier with his care of our dog! She is always excited to go walk with him. He is very flexible with us. Could not recommend him more! He also has a ton of veterinarian experience which puts us at ease. You pet would be in great hands!!!
Paul helped us with our new Rottweiler we had rescued from the shelter. We already had 2 small dogs and he was instrumental in introducing them all together. Our very reactive maltipoo was going nuts every time she saw the rottie and we didn’t think we could keep him. Paul was very knowledgeable and worked his magic with confidence, putting us at ease. Before we knew it, he had all three dogs calm and sitting together. I can’t thank him enough for helping us and allowing our rescue to permanently find his home with us!
I brought my 10 month old Rottweiler to Paul at K9 City and left her there for a 10 day training. Prior to the training, she was jumping all over us at home, nipping (not aggressively), tearing up our outdoor cushions, and jumping on our windows and screens. I did not feel safe outside with her by myself. She was 95 pounds of puppy and did not realize her strength. I took her to K9 City where Paul worked with her and when we picked her up the changes were unbelievable. I feel her training experience was "MAGICAL" and we came home with a new dog!!! Paul taught us how to reinforce the training so she behaved the way we wanted. We had two follow up appointments with the entire family and our other dogs. It was so helpful!! I highly recommend Paul at K9 City and would DEFINITELY use him again. Thank you Paul!
Paul was amazing. He helped us understand our dogs motivations and how to communicate with them. They are already so much better just a week after using Paul's advice. Could not have asked for a better training session. He took his time and trained us as much as our dog. If you love your dog and want to help them reach their potential. This is the place.
Second time in 20 years we’ve called on Paul to assist with some aggressive behavior in our new rescue dog. Honestly, there is no one out there like Paul (cept maybe Caesar Milan) that understands dog behavior and how to train any dog to be the best and most reliable companion one could ask for. We spent one private 1/2 day session with Paul and have practiced what he taught us daily for the past two weeks. We have seen a very positive change in our relationship with her and in her confidence growing. Can’t recommend Paul enough! You will be pleased too, for sure!
We have worked with Paul with 3 generations of rescues over the last 20 years and have recommend countless people to him. He has an authentic method of training that empowers an owner to become the best trainer for a dog that they can be by establishing a clear hierarchy and then working from there. Paul has helped us turn rescues with behavioral issues into loving parts of our family. I cannot recommend his training enough.
We did the package for 10 days boarding and training. We were skeptical at first, but it was truly worth every single penny! We brought our dog in for training because of his anxiety and fear of abandonment. I was giving him LOTS and LOTS of different drugs to try to get him to calm down. After the training I don't have to give him any more anxiety drugs. He is still the loving sweet dog that I knew he was, but WOW 10000% better behaved. Paul seriously worked a miracle on our dog and I could not be any happier. Paul includes training for us, the owners, so we can handle our dog the same way he trained him at K-9 city. If anyone needs a dog trainer due to extreme behavioral issues, this truly is the place to go.
So glad we took our pup to Paul. About 15-20 years ago he worked with two of my parents' dogs growing up via home visits/lessons (a Mini Dachshund and a St Bernard). So when I realized my 10 month old St Bernard mix was acting aggressive towards people after nipping at a neighbor, my parents referred me to Paul. First, we took our pup (Oliver) in for a consultation. The consultation was a little over an hour and he stayed until after 7pm to meet with us. Paul has a very direct style and was honest with us about what he saw in Oliver. While he's seen much, much, much worse, he said human aggression could be in his DNA and unfixable, but he was willing to spend time with him and had some exercises he wanted to try. I was pretty defeated after the consultation because I was hoping he would say this is fixable. But this was our reality and I wasn't going to give up on our dog just yet. We ended up scheduling him for a day lesson with just Paul at k9 city, with a private lesson involving us afterwards. When we showed up at the end of the day for the private lesson, Oliver was acting different than I've ever seen. Paul told us about the day and said without us around, he was actually a really good dog. (Like I said, Paul is direct with his approach, so for a split second it hurt our feelings but woke us up at the same time). Turns out we "dog parents" were part of his problem... We were not direct/commanding enough with Oliver (babied him too much), therefore he felt the need to protect himself. He had taken obedience classes for sit/stay/lay down etc but I had never seen him so focused on leash as he was when Paul had him. Paul told us that he was even able to use some of the neighbors around K9 City throughout the day to practice around strangers (they are apparently used to him coming around with dogs who have issues). Oliver was suddenly a working dog and we were coached how to keep him attentive to us, and how as dog parents we could show him we are "pack leaders". We left with some exercises that we implemented the next few weeks before booking our second private lesson to learn "come" - so he will come to us no matter the distraction even off leash (dogs, people, food, animals, if he has something he shouldn't etc). Oliver's progress has been amazing - but no matter what Paul can do/teach he was adamant that it's up to the dog owner to follow through with the exercises. We have been diligent every day in practicing at least one of the exercises, and are still cautious with Oliver around new people, but have absolutely seen a change for the better in our dog. I definitely recommend at least a consultation if you have a dog with aggression or an issue. I re-homed a dog due a number of years ago due to dog-aggression with another one of my dogs and even though he has an amazing home and family now I am so sad that I didn't know about/take him to Paul.
Connected with Paul for my two Labrador puppies. I was really overwhelmed with them before Paul. He has helped so much and I now enjoy taking them out on adventures. They are a joy now Thanks to Paul’s help!
A serious lifesaver. My corgi never got out of the terrible puppy phase and would act on urges. He bolted from me one day and at wit's end, I called Paul. He's given me sooo much confidence in handling him and my dog is so much calmer and submissive. I always tell my dog, "want to go see Paul?" And he's so stoked to see him. I recommend anyone with any dog, any personality, any background to go to K9 city.
Paul is amazing at explaining dog behavior. He is well informed and able to communicate exactly how to make your dog behave. He is balanced between commanding dogs to get them to do exactly what he wants, when he wants and giving praise. Couldn't be more impressed.
Kristen & Jon are really wonderful! They are reliable, punctual, responsive, loving. Everything you want your dog walker to be. They have been walking our European Great Dane for 4 years now. Titus loves them & really looks forward to his walks. Highly recommend.
I had a GREAT experience with Live Love Pet Walking. I have three dogs & they are a hand full. I recently hired this service while I was out of town. They visited my home multiple times per day and were extremely reliable! They kept me updated and informed with every single visit. They even sent me photos of my pups without asking. I would recommend their services to anyone! 10/10 recommend.
Very happy to find loving, genuine, competent people to care for our dogs. Jon and Kristen are dependable and we have used them for several walks. Sparky and Pal are happy too!
Kristen is freaking awesome... ill trust her with my dog any day!
Monkey is the best. Thank you for the great review.
Going on vacation can be a stressful ordeal when you know you can't take your little fur babies with you, or at least it is in our case. When my boyfriend and I went out of town for a long weekend trip for my birthday, we struggled with figuring out what to do with our two kitties while we were gone. We did not like the idea of boarding them somewhere, even for 4 days, because one of our little boys is quite shy and easily scared. We decided that a pet sitter would be the best option, especially after seeing the phenomenal reviews for OC Pet Companions on Yelp. Boy were we not disappointed! Marilyn was very professional, courteous, and kind when we met her to show her around the house and introduced her to our kitties. She took great care of our boys in our absence! She fed and played with them and sent us texts and photos of them to give us peace of mind that they were well cared for. And imagine our surprise at seeing photos of our shy little Hades out from under the bed and playing with her! We will DEFINITELY be using OC Pet Companions again the next time we go out of town, and we can't recommend them and Marilyn enough!
OC Pet Companions cared for my two dogs for about one year. Their services were timely and thorough. I would not hesitate to use their services again if the need were to arise.
We have used Camp Bow Wow for our golden retriever and also for our older Chihuahua several times. We have been very happy with the way our dogs are cared for & overnights have been easy. We’ve had them given baths and they come home looking and smelling great! We can’t say enough about the people. They are very accommodating and kind and when we watch on the cameras, our dogs are always looking happy and getting some attention so it’s become our go to place.
-I will start this by acknowledging that as a dog owner, it is my responsibility to plan accordingly and put my dog in the best available environment for him to be safe. Sadly, in this regard, I have failed by choosing Camp Bow Wow in San Clemente. -It was time sensitive that I find him a place I felt comfortable with that offered cameras to observe him when I needed peace of mind, and day care where he could socialize with other dogs and let out some energy so he was tired enough to sleep for the majority of what turned out to be 12 hours straight of unsupervised time he would spend in his crate overnight (not to mention what turned out to be the majority of the day as well which will be noted below). His initial "test day" at the day care was reportedly great, where he verbatim was "one of the best first day dogs we've ever had". -Day 1 I got a call saying they had to pull him from day care and put him in his crate because he had too much energy, he was NOT rough housing. I was told on admit that there are two separate yards, one for the dogs who are slower/older, and one for the dogs who have energy and want to run around, and they alternate where the dog plays based on his current behavior. They apparently crate the boarders in the same open warehouse room on the other side of a 5 foot fence where they are forced to be in the same loud room hearing other dogs playing having fun while they sit alone in their crate, with NO CAMERAS. They told me he would most likely have to be pulled throughout the day for the duration of his stay based on his energy, again NOT rough housing. They offered a suite when I asked about cameras, and since he was going to be spending a lot of time pulled from day care (a service that is included in the boarding cost), I agreed, which of course came with a additional price tag. -For the first 6 days he was in his suite, not once did they take his blankets from off the floor and put them on his bed. Not once did they try and set him up comfortably, or even just remotely make an effort in room where he was now spending the majority of his time. They said they clean the rooms "every day". FALSE -On the 7th day, they called me and said that he was going to be pulled entirely from day care for the remaining 6 days because he was full of energy, NOT rough housing, and when he wants to keep playing, whatever dog was running with him could not keep up, and that was too much (this was what I thought the purpose of 2 separate play areas was as outlined when being sold on the place). They then offered me to buy individual 15 minute one on one sessions with a member of staff which would seemingly be the only way to get him any type of time outside of his room that I paid to upgraded to. So I am now paying for day care that he is not allowed to use, a suite that is used as a holding cell with no upkeep, and 1 on 1 sessions that could have been offered complimentary considering he is not able to use the 8-10 hours of day care that I am paying for, instead they forced my hand to pay for 15 MINUTES of "enrichment". -Part of the 1 on 1 package is that they just take as many pictures as they can to prove that your dog is getting this service. I noticed a cut under my dogs left eye which is strange for a couple reasons because he was allegedly not supposed to be around other dogs because of his energy, and because they did not notify me of this. I asked what happened and they said "we should have told you sooner" When I began to inquire about how it happened they said they had him in one of the yards by himself and a dog bit/scratched him through the fence. I asked him any of the other dogs had bites or scratches they said no, and I asked if any of the dogs were removed for biting/scratching my dog they said no. My dog was removed from daycare for too much energy and put in his room all day where I was forced to buy him time to avoid being isolated for his stay, but aggressive/violent dogs aren't removed. My dog has been pooping blood and is malnourished with zero energy and had to go Vet. AVOID THIS PLACE
Camp BowWow provides great care of our (all) dogs. It's a fun and safe environment for lots of dogs to interact and play inside or outside. We didn't do any of the extra services, but there are lots to choose from. We tried out several local dog day care facilities and this is our favorite. We also like being able to peek in on the video camera! Picture is after his bath at Camp Bow Wow - on the way home. 2nd pic is happy, clean, tired pup after most recent visit. After many, many, many visits for more than a year everything is still perfect. Love the staff. My dog goes nuts as we approach, can't get inside fast enough and bolts to the back (the great staff grab his leash and escort him!). I watch him on camera and he has so much fun. The staff in with the dogs are always attentive to what's going on and love all of the dogs there. We've done many baths too and 10 day boarding / overnight when we went on vacation... and he loves it. The extra activities are another plus. Camp Bow Wow and the staff is the best.
My pup loves going to Camp Bow Wow! 👍 She gets lots of attention and had a great spa day. She was ready fast and was all clean and adorable when I picked her up! 🥰 Always happy with the service at Camp Bow Wow!! …
Our dog Max loves Camp Bow Wow in San Clemente. He is a medium sized dog and he’s pretty nervous. But when he gets out of the car at Camp Bow Wow he knows he’s about to see his friends and have fun. We highly recommend.
I had high hopes for Camp Bow Wow, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. First, the staff seemed uninterested and unengaged, barely acknowledging my dog’s needs or mine during drop-off. When I picked up my pet, they seemed stressed and had clearly been left in a large, chaotic group with little supervision. To make matters worse, they lost my dog’s belongings, and I had to follow up multiple times to get any information. I expected a professional, caring environment, but it felt like just another overcrowded, impersonal daycare. I won't be coming back.
Camp bow wow is well run and the pups all seem to be happy. The place is kept very clean which must not be easy. Best of all Pepper loves it!
First time going to San Clemente, and I was beyond impressed with the friendly staff, cleanliness, and most importantly, my dog Spark loved it. He stayed for the day and was bathed and ready to go when I picked him up. Big Kudos to the San Clemente team for being awesome. Will definitely be back.
We love camp bow wow for grooming (Jen is the best!), day play and boarding. Mac has been going since a puppy and always is happy there!
Love, Love, Love Camp Bow Wow for our two doodles. Maggie & Lily just about pull my arms out of their sockets as I hang on to their leashes and head to the front door of the lobby to check in. We’ve booked on two different occasions and they can’t wait to go again. The staff is super amazing and they are all dog lovers. They run on a schedule for play time, nap time, breakfast & Dinner time and bed time. You can bring your pups bed, toys and food. They provide water and food bowl. They have cameras so you can check up on your puppy at your convenience. They are reasonably priced and conveniently located in San Clemente. My girls can’t wait to go back and I have absolutely no hesitation leaving them there with this caring staff.
Our boy Brewtus had an amazing stay here for 6 nights. Staff was very tentative to his needs and took great around the clock care for him. Very welcoming and friendly. Manager was amazing and informative with us. If you’re a little more anxious about leaving your dog this is the place as you can see him everyday on the cameras and know he is in good hands. Paul & Bree:)
Our Samoyed (Sam-Wise) stays at Paws 3-4 times a month. He is always verry happy to go there and he also comes home tired but happy. We have also boarded him there while traveling a few times. He seems to really like their staff and Seth has taught him some great commands I highly recommend them to anyone who loves their dog.
We had a wonderful experience with Paws Pet Resort in San Clemente. We were looking to leave our two small dogs while we were out of town for a week and everyone at Paws was friendly and seem to truly love the dogs. When we checked in on the cameras from time to time, we always saw the individual in the small dog room with them petting the dogs and giving them attention. We never saw them on their phone ignoring the dogs like we have seen at other places we considered. Instead, they seemed engaged and to enjoy playing and cuddling with dogs. We got really cute "pupdates" while we were away (with the upgraded boarding option), and the whole process was easy and flexible. Our first time there, one of the trainers happened to be standing there and did an amazing job warming our dogs up to him and then to the group when they were ready. This really made the difference for us between Paws Pet Resorts and other options. We are so glad we have a place we can trust to take our sweet dogs when we need someone to look after them for the day or for longer boarding.
We’ve been taking our dog Moose here for daycare and boarding for the last three years. They are our go-to dog daycare. The Paws staff are awesome and we love watching the live feed!
This is a great place to board your dogs. Unfortunately, the first time, one of my dogs got injured. Paws took my dog for stitches and paid the bill. It was a freak accident and not a dog fight. They kept me at ease while out of town on business and I knew my pups were in good hands. Wonderful staff.
This place is awesome! Five big stars, and more, for Paws Pet Resort! I’m from Colorado and travel to San Clemente every year for surf vacations. Although, instead of surfing, this year’s vacation was Disneyland and Catalina Island for my grandkids, followed by my son’s wedding in San Clemente. So I searched high and low to board my dog for 6 days. I couldn’t find anything in the area on the Rover app for a reasonable price that met my needs, then I found Paws Pet Resort. I felt comfortable with the employees I spoke to over the phone as they answered all my questions. So my Elbie girl spent 6 nights here, and I received text messages with pictures every evening. I just picked her up this morning, and all is well as I drive back home. I will definitely have Elbie stay here again if needed without hesitation. I wished there were something similar like Paws Pet Resort in Colorado.
My family has been using Paws Pet Resort San Clemente for over three years for our boarding and grooming needs. During this time, our dogs have had the opportunity to develop fantastic relationships with all of the staff; this has been instrumental in maintaining their well-being and comfort, especially during longer boarding stays. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we needed to board our dogs long term while we were overseas and Paws was nothing short of amazing during what was a very stressful situation. My dogs received personalized love and attention daily, playgroup time, treats on their birthdays, maintained their same diet, and had veterinary care when needed. They even enjoyed private guitar concerts by a talented staff member, which one of my dogs especially liked. Jessie was my lifeline and communicated with me multiple times per week with pictures and video updates of my pups, which was absolutely amazing…I am so grateful for you, Jessie, thank you! All of the staff went above and beyond and became extended family to us, and I never had to worry about the health and well-being of my pets because I knew they were receiving the best care at Paws. Paws Pet Resort is a one-of-a-kind place with the BEST staff, there is no place better to entrust the care of your pets; if I could give them ten stars, I would! I cannot recommend Paws enough! We have been so blessed by every staff member, thank you for everything over the years!
They are very caring about your pets. We have three dogs who stayed here recently while we were on vacation. They treated them well and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and in showing care to 2 of our senior dogs!
Paws San Clemente has changed my life. They are the only facility I trust with my dogs. The staff is professional, passionate, kind, and knowledgeable. They work with your dogs needs and love what they do. The fact that I’m able to see my dog on cam if I please makes all the difference. Their prices are the same as dog walkers that offer a mere hour or two. Paws is amazing!
This is a long overdue review! I’ve been taking my dog Bentley there since he was 10 weeks old. He is now a year old and has grown up with Paws. I trust them more than myself with my dog and I couldn’t recommend it more. They pay attention to your dogs, give lots of cuddles, are accommodating, and care a lot. All the employees are so sweet! Thanks for everything and all the help!
We have been dropping our hyper pointer 3 year old pup here for day care and planning to board him in the future. We love it and it’s perfect setting for our dog. My dog is usually the one who gets easily overwhelmed around big large group of dogs. And I see that every other dog day care around here is so crowded and chaotic . We are glad we have found BOWWOW!
We boarded our dog here for a week while we were at a beach hotel that didn't allow dogs. I didn't realize from the website that there was no outdoor space for the dogs. During doggie daycare, the small dogs were all in one room up front. No toys, nothing interesting except for the other dogs, and no designated restroom spot, so they would just mop the floor if a dog went in the center of the room. My dog seemed happy when I picked him up (and when I dropped off more food mid week) but two days after we picked him up he developed a terrible cough that persisted for a week.
We take our 50lb, 2 year old mutt here about once a week for day care, and then sporadically for overnight stays when we go out of town, and our girl loves it! UPDATE: Now seeing what this place is compared to "Smart Parke" in Laguna Hills, I am changing my review from 5 stars to 3 due to the lack of amenities and services in comparison.
BEWARE BEWARE If I could I would put 0 stars. This place is not well taken care of. I took my dog there one time and 2 days later she got kennel cough from one of the dogs there and off to the vet we went. That was the only other interaction my dog had with other dogs. I paid for a 10 day pass and i requested a refund I have been calling for my refund. I still have no answer and no refund. This was over a month ago now. Every single time I call it get sent to voicmail. This place has the worst customer service. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE they might get sick
We have boarded both a dog and a cat many times over the years. The animals love BowWow and so do we. Martina and Chris are the BEST caretakers for our pets. You will love them too.
Always get my pets nails cut here. They never bleed and the nails are always nice and shortly trimmed. The staff is very nice and I always feel like my pets are in good hands.
Our dog loves coming here now. She never got along with other dogs but now she hangs out in the play room with many of them. The owner decided to give it a try one time and now our dog handles it wonderfully. Staff is always friendly and caring. Our girl doesn't come exhausted like she used to after being boarded.
Large shop. Clean facility with friendly staff. The only place I will leave my canine children. It is pretty nice set up for daycare as well and they have different areas to separate animals. A couple rooms are in front with big windows and I am always amused by the dogs watching me and enjoying the activity while many are lounging in beds scattered in the room and others are running around playing. Have you ever wondered what your dog does when you leave him? Wonder no more.
I love this place. It's very clean and spacious. Reasonable rates and they do a great job grooming when I come to pick her up. I love that they text me pictures every day of my dog interacting with others. It gives me great comfort while I travel.
Noriko and Scott have not only made the place much nicer, but also provided our sweet pitbull Marley with wonderful care. At one point, we had to be away a lot, and they sent us pictures every day. When Marley got sick, they even took her into their home until we could get back. Highly recommended.
