Lisa and her friend Sara were amazing pet and house sitters! We can't say enough great things about them - our pets were so calm when we returned from our trip and so happy... Lisa and Sara kept in touch with us regularly and sent us beautiful photos of the pets as well. We returned to a spotless home, fresh flowers and a note with polaroids of Soy, Calvin and Chickie! We absolutely loved hosting Lisa and Sara and highly recommend them, they are some of the best sitters we have ever had and they're welcome back anytime!!
Leah was an excellent pet sitter and take care of our home when we were on vacation. Our dogs were sad when she left. She even made us some delicious tacos when we got home from the airport! We highly recommend her!
Kyle was a great house sitter and pet sitter for us. We had a good dialogue prior to him sitting for us, and we also did a short walkthrough the week before. Kyle formed a great bond with our dog Charlie and also took good care of our rabbit Poppy. A couple of minor issues came up with systems in our home due to an unexpected power outage, and Kyle was quick to connect with us and then was able to work 1:1 with the service providers to resolve the issues. We look forward to working with Kyle again.
Rachel was an excellent pet sitter for my cat. She was a good communicator and also kept my place very tidy. She even left me a gift of a bar of chocolate upon her departure! Highly recommend.
Duncan was an excellent pet sitter and looked after our old girl Cookie really well.
We had the pleasure of having Tara as our house sitter while we were away, and we can't praise her enough for the fantastic job she did. Not only did she take excellent care of our home, but she also showed tremendous love and attention to our beloved dogs. From the moment Tara walked through the door, we could tell she had a genuine passion for animals. She immediately bonded with our dogs, and they seemed completely at ease with her. Throughout our trip, she provided us with regular updates and photos, which truly put our minds at ease knowing our boys were in great hands. Tara took great care of our home as well. It was evident that she respected our space and coming back home, we found everything just as we left it, if not even better! We highly recommend Tara to anyone in need of a reliable, trustworthy, and caring house sitter. Her communication was excellent, and she proved herself to be a responsible and dedicated individual. If you want to ensure your pets and home are in the best hands while you're away, Tara is the perfect choice. Thank you, Tara, for taking such incredible care of our dogs and home. You made our trip stress-free, and we're truly grateful.
I have had 4 pet sitters this year so far. And Liz was the best! She was wonderful with cats. She has an easy going manner and is very comfortable to be around. Very smart and she is a great communicator. She followed all directions and left the house spotless. I highly, highly, highly recommend her! I would have her again anytime!
5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Tyler, THANK YOU for allowing us to enjoy a few nights for the first time in a decade! Dean & Diana Smith
Jessica was an awesome pet sitter for my cat Fifi. She texted photos and updates everyday so I knew that Fifi was being well cared for. She was communicative and asked a lot of good questions to make sure she understood Fifi's needs. My home was equally as clean (if not more so) upon my return. I would highly recommend Jessica!
Tom was the PERFECT pet and house sitter. I went out of town for a while after my dad passed, and I had a few pet sitters bail before he came in for the rescue. He cleaned up the messes and I came home to a clean house and VERY happy babies! My two dogs LOVED him. He is extremely reliable, clean, trustworthy and was incredibly caring to my dogs. I would have him back ANYTIME and HIGHLY recommend him!!

So impressed with this service. It was my first time with a dog and felt overwhelmed. Taylor came over for the meet and greet and put me and the doggo at ease, immediately. So kind and thoughtful and very clearly a lover of animals. We were in very good hands with Gemstone. Punctual, great communicator and goes above and beyond. Can't recommend them enough!
I recommend Gemstone dogs to anyone looking for someone to walk or board their dogs. Taylor took the best care of my dog Lenny and treated him like one of her own dogs. He loved his walks with Taylor and one day when he wasn't feeling well she spent the visit cuddling with him when he wasn't up for a longer walk. Lenny also had a few nights where he boarded at Gemstone- he slept in the comfort of Taylor's own home and got to enjoy time with other dogs and playing in their fenced backyard. ❤️
The most professional dog walking service I have ever used. Taylor care so much about the health and well-being of each dog. I trust her to take care of my pup when I am at work and to board her. We have only had positive experiences since joining the pack back in September. I think my dog may love Taylor more than me. Super accommodating and reliable. I love the app, because I get updates on my dog while I am away. Using this service has allowed me to work outside of the home, without worrying about my dog the whole time. They go on walks/adventures and play time. Not only do the dogs get walked but they also get really valuable socialization time with one another. 100/10.
We have had great experiences with boarding with Gemstone. We have two high energy dogs who always come home wiped out after a weekend away. The owners are professional, quick to communicate, and obviously dog lovers. Highly recommended!
My dog Bailey had a blast with Taylor and her pups at their house and on walks, she is such an awesome part of our neighbourhood. Bailey is typically nervous around new people, but warmed up to Taylor very quickly!! This service is an awesome alternative to day care, providing a less overwhelming environment, more attentive care, and walks on rainy days :)
I am so very pleased with Gemstone Dogs. The amount of excitement that Rosie shows when Taylor enters the house is a testament to what a good time she has on her walks. Thanks for the excellent service that you provide!
Taylor has been looking after my babies once a week for the past few years. Our fur babies are everything and I am so fortunate to have found someone that loves them and they’re quirks just as much as we do! I would highly recommend gemstone services :)
I love following Tails to the Trails on Instagram, also great to see how much fun all the dogs have with Taylor! Tails to the Trails is an amazing service for your pets, they will thank you introducing them to Taylor.
Taylor looked after our dog for a few days and was fantastic. He came home happy and tired, the way we like him. Thanks Taylor!
I had great experiences with Fetch Inc.Had to respond when I read a not so good review of Fetch...which surprised me. My GSD did very well there.I had to pull him out;until he gets neutered...as GSD's should be 2 years old to allow the growth plates to close over. He was too keen on the female dogs, but I respected that they told me...putting the dogs first! I plan on returning him when he is recovered from his neuter. I read the review about not being asked for vaccination records...I find this odd,as I had to provide records which they photocopied. My daughter with her dog,as well. 10 week old puppies are too young to be socialized...they need to wait for their full round of vaccines..especially Parvo. Big chain daycares do take younger puppies...shame on them! Putting everyone's pups at risk...I steared clear of them. Do your homework people. I spoke to breeders and Obedience trainers...who recommended FETCH. Also ask if staff are trained in Dog Behaviour...didn't find this with a few Big chain Daycares.
I was initially extremely impressed with Fetch. Brenda understands dogs and is highly qualified to train dogs. My assessment of Fetch however changed shortly after. My then 10 week old Golden Retriever puppy attended a few socialisation classes where she was rated 8/10 on a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 is overly timid and 10 is overly aggressive. 5-6 is where she needed to be according to Brenda. Brenda’s assessment of her after watching her play was that she was over exuberant but not “return your puppy” aggressive. My puppy (like most puppies first meeting dogs) did not have very good manners and wouldn’t back off at first when the other puppies didn’t want to play. She would also get annoyed if other puppies forced her on her back for too long. Brenda advised that we stop bringing our puppy to Fetch and instead recommended that we put her in daycare where she learns her manners from adult dogs. And we did. At the end of said daycare session, all we did get was a 3 minute update that the puppy was doing well. In hindsight, I now know that a lot of other daycares provide written reports of how the dog did at daycare, who they played with, what their disposition and health was, take pictures of the dog during daycare and upload them to social media. With Fetch Inc there isn’t enough transparency about what transpires at daycare and you do not get a sense of what or how your pup is actually doing there. The other red flag was that while the Fetch daycare facility asked us to sign a confirmation that our pup was vaccinated, they really did not ask us for any proof of said vaccinations whatsoever. That was a huge red flag for us because it makes us wonder if they check other dogs for vaccination proof at all. Within a week of attending Fetch daycare our pup contracted kennel cough, and she hadn’t been exposed to a single other dog in the preceding 3 weeks outside of Fetch. When we informed Fetch over email that our pup had kennel cough so that they could inform their other clientele, we received no acknowledgment whatsoever so I can only hope that the other clients were alerted. While I understand that kennel cough is common, there is simply no excuse for forgetting to ask for vaccination proof. That is irresponsible and puts every dogs health at risk, especially puppies who have weaker immune systems. After our experience with Fetch, we decided to take our puppy to another large-chain pet facility that welcomed her with open arms and called her an “adorable floofy, friendly girl”. We continue to take her to this facility for socialisation and daycare today because this facility understands that young puppies sometimes have bad manners, and that the whole point of socialisation classes is for pet owners to bond with their pups while the pup learns those manners. The large-chain facility does not turn away 10 week old puppies who are still learning behavioural cues. My puppy is now doing extremely well and plays happily with other puppies and dogs. I cannot recommend Fetch as a place to socialise puppies or for daycare. I can however recommend Brenda as a private trainer because she understands dogs. I am fully prepared for a response from this business claiming my dog was aggressive and posing a threat to the “safety of other dogs” because that seems to be the common business response to reviews these days. I have provided a factual account of what transpired. The fact that my pup is doing extremely well at other socialisation and daycare facilities should speak for itself.
Great daycare for your dog(s). They pre-screen so there are no aggressive dogs here unlike other places in the area. My dog always comes home happy and tired from here.
Very welcoming staff. Great facilities for all types of dogs. Pricing is on par with good packages available. Our pup will be back!
I've been training and taking my dogs to daycare here for 8 years. The staff are amazing at everything they do. We love this place!
I take my dog Findlay there where he plays with all his friends
Going there for years. Amazing knowledgeable staff. A great place
Love the staff, they know dogs!!!
Amazing dog sport training!
Great time
I'm not exaggerating when I say I would be at a total loss without Woofingtons. My 6-lb-er is too small for the other daycares but this place is the perfect speed for him. The staff clearly loves him and his tail wiggles like crazy as soon as we arrive. They are super accommodating, friendly, and reasonably-priced. Fully recommend!
Wonderful doggy daycare! Very engaging for the pups without being too overwhelming, and the staff are very friendly and quick to respond! They really go above and beyond to post photos and videos of the dogs and go all out for holidays and doggy birthdays
I take Kylo here at least once a week, he just loves going and he loves all the staff there. Such a great place for him. Kylo’s tail just wags when I drop him off. Staff are amazing.
My girl Tallulah has joined the woofingtons family about a month ago and i can't say enough great things about this place. The staff are so friendly and update their fb page with pics and videos daily. You know they really care for each dog who attend woofingtons and my dog has made friends and has the best time when she's there.
Our little pup always has such a great time at Woofingtons!
Excellent service!
We have boarded dogs at this kennel for years. We have boarded a very old dog. That old dog was given excellent, kind, gentle care. We have also boarded a puppy who was also given exactly the care he needed. He is grown now and is always happy to go there. He goes in with tail wagging. He goes to both Barb and Lloyd for pets. He is a happy dog when I pick him up. I would recommend this kennel to anyone needing a dog to be cared for in a home. The owners are knowledgeable and caring.
We left our dog here for a 10 day trip. When she couldn't eat her food due to a tumor in her mouth, Barb hand cooked fish that she was more than willing to eat. We were even given some of the fish to take home when we picked her up since she was so willing to eat it over regular food. We are very grateful for the care and dedication by Barb to accommodate our dog and would recommend this dog kennel to anyone else looking for one.
I used Just like home dog boarding three times, but will never return. After the first time I didn’t feel totally comfortable and didn’t plan to return, but found that after the stay my dog seemed more social with other dogs, so I decided to go back. The second visit went fine and she seemed to have enjoyed it. Sadly the third visit was a terrible experience. When I picked my dog up after a long weekend, she was walking on three legs. The dog boarding owners said she likes to jump a lot and she just hurt her paw a little but it’s fine, and said she’s just been looking for sympathy and lying around all day. They didn’t give details of what had happened or when. They keep the dogs in the house and showed me where they had her sleeping, which was on a high ledge with quite a precarious jump onto a box to get down, not the type of spot I would ever have her sleep. It was a long weekend, so I’m not sure if they were full and finding extra spots for dogs to sleep or if it’s a spot they usually use. There was clearly something seriously wrong so I took her to the vet. They found she had broken her toe below the joint. The end of the toe had to be removed, leaving just a stub, and the nail will never grow back. There was also an abrasion on the side of the toe. I called Just like home to tell them that she was seriously hurt and had required surgery which cost almost $500. They were very rude, saying: What are you accusing us of, we didn’t hurt her, she hurt herself, and if you think we’re paying we aren’t. I told them that all I was saying is that I left her in their care and when I returned she was badly injured, but actually I did feel they have some responsibility. At a minimum I suggested they should be refunding the boarding fee (that I had paid in advance). They refused saying the waiver I signed says they are not responsible for injuries. They even questioned the injury saying "I don't know your vet..." At no point was there even an apology. I know accidents can happen, but I feel like the environment there was more risky than it should have been and I was very disappointed by both their response to the injury and their attitude around it. I will not be returning.
I've takem my dogs here multiple times. Never had a bad experience. They are good people and always show that they care about my dogs. This is the only place I'll leave my dogs.
Although the owners clearly care about the pets that they take care of it was unfortunately not a good experience for my partner and I. We travel often and saw the good reviews online. After picking up our Bernese mountain dog and golden retriever we noticed a deep gouge in the top of our Berneses head and a rash on his stomach (same rash was on our golden) took the Berny to the vet the very next day and the vet explained he either a) got his head stuck under a fence or b) got bitten by a much larger dog & that it couldn't have been our golden because his jaw wasn't wide enough for the bite. She explained it must have happened earlier in the days we dropped him off as black flies had gotten into his gouge and it was infected. Not really sure how no one noticed that he has the cut on his head because the smell was pungent and the kennels have 24 hour security cameras to monitor them. A $200 vet bill later & even though we explain what happened to the owners who assured us they were not with other dogs we were offered no apology. The rash on both of them was from black flies which is understandable as they were outside so it would be silly to be mad about that. However for the cut in our dogs head made the experience very disappointing.
Can't say enough great things about them. So kind and friendly. My golden retriever just lives it. We use it two or three times a year. Would not go anywhere else.
The only place we leave are two beagles at they are treated like family. Beautiful spot lots of space for all size of dogs.
