Kelly was a wonderful pet sitter and house sitter! Our dog Cooper adored her. She sent us pictures several times a day and he was always snuggling with her. She kept in touch with us regularly. We have never left our baby before and we were anxious about it but we ended up feeling totally comfortable with Cooper in Kelly’s care. She also kept our potted plants alive during a heat wave and took great care of the house. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.
I have nothing but great things to say about Jill! She’s a wonderful sitter and I felt so comfortable leaving my dog and cat in her capable hands while I was out of the country. She was thorough in making sure she knew exactly what each pet needed, had excellent communication, and provided me with daily updates. I came home to a house that was even tidier and more organized than when I left and two very loved pets. I would highly recommend Jill to anyone looking for a kind, caring, consistent pet sitter. Thank you so much Jill!!!
Tom provided a last minute sit when my 2 week long trip got extended to the 3rd. The previous zeewoi sitter was no longer available for the 3rd week, and Tom came in as a savior. As requested, he started his sit a day prior to the posted dates (thank you for being flexible). He met the prior zeewoi in person, since I was not in town, and got to know the house and cats quickly. He sent pictures of the cats each day and added a note about their well being. He was independent and was able to figure out how to use the litter genie on his own. I returned to a clean home and healthy happy cats. Would love to have Tom return and recommend him to anyone leaving their pets in his care.
Hanna did an excellent job sitting Molly, Eddie, Jasper, and Miley. She communicated well, took notes on our initial meet and greet. She went out of her way to help us get the dogs to a kennel when we experienced a family emergency and could not extend her sit due to work commitments. The dogs loved her and the shy kitties came out of greet her mid stay. She left our home immaculate and well cared for. She is truly a winning pet sitter in our eyes! We hope she can come again sometime.
I had the pleasure of having Tracey and her two children as house sitters, and I can't praise them enough for the incredible job they did. From the moment they stepped into our home, it was evident that they were dedicated, caring, and attentive to every detail. First and foremost, Tracey's approach to caring for our house and our beloved pets was nothing short of excellent. She has an innate ability to connect with animals, and it was clear from the daily updates and photos that our pets were happy and thoroughly pampered. The house was kept in immaculate condition, and they treated it with the utmost respect as if it was their own. Moreover, Tracey demonstrated remarkable responsibility and initiative when our AC system unexpectedly broke down. Without hesitation, she arranged for an HVAC company to come and fix the issue, taking time from her day to ensure our home was taken care of. Her willingness to front the repair costs until I could reimburse her was an act of kindness and trust that you rarely see. Tracey and her children's thoughtfulness and thoroughness provided me with peace of mind during my time away, which is priceless. I returned to a home that was just as I left it, if not better. Their stay was characterized by an extraordinary level of care and I was particularly impressed by how they left the house in perfect condition, with happy pets to welcome me back. I wholeheartedly recommend Tracey to any future hosts. Her reliability, compassion, and the ability to handle unexpected situations with grace are commendable. I would welcome Tracey and her children back to house sit in a heartbeat – they are exactly the kind of house sitters that one hopes for on this site! Thank you, Tracey, for everything. You and your children are welcome back anytime!
Carolina was a fantastic Pet sitter. From the beginning, it was straightforward to communicate with her. She met us before we left our trip and ensured she understood all the house and pet logistics. Luna and Cal were very comfortable with her and were best friends with her fast. She was very affectionate with them, and Luna and Cal loved her and were very happy with her. Carolina was very responsive and sent updates. She was really lovely and easy to communicate with. She was very respectful of our space and very tidy. She even washed the sheets and towels she used even when she didn’t need to. She put a lot of care into caring for Luna and Cal, and they looked very comfortable with her. Having Carolina as a pet sitter made our trip very easy, knowing our pets were cared for so well. We would love to have her back to sit for us again and highly recommend her.
Jacob sat for us during our holiday in March. We do not have any pets but we do have garden plants etc to look after. Jacob did a fantastic job of looking after the young plants that had arrived by post the day before we went away. He sent us regular updates and photos of how the plants were doing. We came home to a very clean and tidy house and thriving plants. Jacob did a great job and we have no hesitation in recommending him. If he comes back to the Uk and we require a sitter we will contact him first. Well done Jacob.
Jeremy and Brooke were fantastic! We have a senior dog and a over hyper pittie. They gave Daisy her meds and had lengthy walks with Fin to burn off some of his energy. Brooke sent me regular texts to show me precious pictures of the pups by the Christmas tree, which warmed my ❤️. The house looked great when we returned. They are awesome detailed sitters and will make your pets feel loved and secure!!
5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Tyler, THANK YOU for allowing us to enjoy a few nights for the first time in a decade! Dean & Diana Smith
Heath spent a long weekend at my home taking great care of both dogs and the cat. He was able to help out on rather short notice, and I felt very comfortable leaving my pets in his care. Heath is friendly and reliable and left my home neat and tidy. I would definitely recommend him as a house/pet sitter for future assignments!

Lindsay and Matt are THE BEST! I brought my young dog there, 9 mos., and they took such great care of her. Matt took his time to answer all of my questions to assure me that she would be fine with them. From the lighting in the kennels to mirror the time of day at home to quiet time so the dogs could nap peacefully. One of them was always outside with the dogs to monitor them and be sure the "pack" got along ;)They would only let dogs that they felt were a good fit play together on the property. They also took into consideration how young my dog was and took extra care with her because of her age. They were on it! Since I haven't boarded her before I was nervous to leave her. No worries there. Lindsay kept in touch with me with texting and sending pictures. I will definitely take her there again and am so happy and LUCKY that I found them! Thank you again, Lindsay and Matt~
Pogba and Benzema love Woof and Tumble! I have taken my boys here several times and am always thrilled with the experience. I never have to worry because I know how well they are being taken care of. The facility is very well maintained and put together. I swear my dogs sleep for days when they get home because they had so much fun. I would highly recommend Woof and Tumble. If I could give them more than 5 stars I absolutely would. I love that I occasionally get pictures of the dogs having fun while they are there as well.
We love woof and tumble! They've been so accommodating and personable with us, always sending a few photo updates during our dogs stay. Worth the drive up the hills.
This is a very safe, very focused dog boarding facility. If you are a first time boarder, there will be a trial, one night boarding to test if your dog is OK there. The owners do not charge for this night. The reasoning is solid. This insures your dog will be familiar with the environment when the boarding date arrives as well as testing the dog's amenability to the facility. It works! Both Matt and Lindsay are very hands on with dog care. Small and large dogs are managed in like groups. They pay attention to behavior and place dog well-being front and center. I have 2 mini poodles who were well cared for and given attention when there. Minis are attention sponges and they understand the different breeds. Make your reservations early. There is a reason this facility is well booked, the owners really love what they do and it shows. They are devoted to their business.
I have a rescue havanese who has had huge stranger fear. He has been going to Woof and Tumble for 2 yrs. Corey just loves it there. Every time we board him he has become more and more social. In fact, he loves playing with all the dogs, even the huge ones! His socialization has carried over in other places. Matt, one of the owners, has been great with Corey. Matt has trained police dogs so this 20 lb cutie is no challenge to him. Whenever we take him there, as we approach the property Corey starts waging happily and greeting the dogs with his talking bark. We have never worried leaving him at Wood and Tumble. It is a dog haven with lots to outdoor kiddie park toys and pools. Corey is just staying with family when he's boarded! Thank you guys! We love you.
This place is fantastic! I have two younger dogs who are used to playing with other dogs at the park and always get at least 1.5-2 hours of playtime daily. The thought of having them cooped up in a kennel while I was away playing was stressful and sad. I have known Matt for years and think very highly of him. I recently met Lindsey and she’s just as awesome! I was so excited when I found out about their place and brought the pups there. It’s an amazing facility and they simply love dogs! My pups loved it and I got regular updates and photos while I was away. Now I don’t have to feel guilty and can relax when it’s vacation time. I know they’re having fun and being well cared for here. I highly recommend this place.
Updated 8/27/23: I want to renew this review because Woof and Tumble continues to be our local boarding and play kennel serving Clark County friendly Dogs and their much loved people. It is just a great place to take you dog(s) if you need to be away in circumstances that don’t allow you best 🐾♥️🐾 to travel with you. Lindsey and Matt’s pricing is reasonable and I leave my dog always knowing that he is in good, capable and very caring hands with people who love him and who he loves too. I have a black lab, who has been going to Woof & Tumble when I travel for work and can’t take him for the past several years. We didn’t know the former owner, but we are sure pleased that the Hanson Family has the business now. My lab squeals with glee every time we start driving up the canyon to go to W&T. My Boy loves Matt and Lindsey as much as he does me and I always know that he is in the best care available anywhere when he is with them. I always know too when I pick him up that I have returned to a very happy well exercised boy who has gotten to run and play ball with his friends under the watchful and protective supervision of care givers I can completely trust without reservation. The kennel area is clean and climate controlled so the dogs are comfortable year round and the outdoor play areas are clean, well maintained and protected by a high storm fence. Woof & Tumble is a few miles up WRR, Hughs and Skye Roads, but the roads are well maintained and the boarding kennels are very easy to locate. Woof & Tumble is an incredible blessing to friendly dogs and the owners who love them throughout our area and my pup and I are really glad that Lindsey and Matt are a part of our busy lives 🐾💗🐾,
I am one of three chihuahuas that get to hang out at Woof and Tumble, aka "outdoor school," when our owners go away on a trip and don't need our supervision. We are well taken care of, whether it's exploring and chasing woodland creatures that come near our outside realm or getting attention and snuggles from the staff. The folks there make sure we get our meds, prepare our meals, and send our owners updates on how our vacation is going. While we don't provide any revenue to our household, or have any concept of economics, but we feel strongly this is a worthwhile investment into your dog's happiness.
So, so, so glad a friend recommended Woof and Tumble! My two pups (a 12yo geriatric dog and 7-month-old) were well taken care of - food, sleeping, love, safety, structure, AND socialization. We didn't worry one bit while we were away because it was easy to see that owners Matt and Lindsay really understand and care about dogs. My two had a great time at "camp" over the holidays and are tuckered out after all the fun. 5 stars for sure ... I'd give them 6 if I could!
We've had such a great experience boarding our Doberman with Woof and Tumble. She's stayed with them several times now and always comes home happy, tired, and dirty from playing with new friends. With a free trial over night before leaving our dog with them, we felt confident that Matt and Lindsey are not only professional but were impressed that they were willing to take the time needed to make sure our dog would assimilate to their environment. One thing we really love is that the dogs are never left alone when playing together. We've driven up several times during play time, and as promised, someone (often the whole family) is outside supervising the dogs. Other boarding facilities in the area (Running Pond Acres comes to mind) leave groups of dogs unsupervised, sometimes for hours at a time, in an area they won't show owners for "insurance reasons", which is not an environment we would ever want to leave our dog in. The Woof and Tumble team is also super proactive in communication. During one stay, our pup strained her back leg and we were notified as soon as it was discovered, and then received updates after each subsequent play outing she went on. She ended up being totally fine, but we felt good knowing that they were paying attention to her enough to notice a slight limp, and then to reach out to let us know. Our only complaint is that Woof and Tumble is so popular! We're not great at getting our reservation booked well in advance and have missed chances to have our pup stay with them when they've been booked full. We love them so much that we try to convince our friends in Portland and Beaverton to bring their dogs here even though it's so far from them! We don't think there's a better facility around.
Mary Ellen takes the best care of my dogs, so much that the youngest would happily stay there forever. Great pick up/drop off process. Excellent communication and scheduling is easy, daycare or boarding. So glad to have stumbled across her place years ago!
My husband, myself and our pup just moved to the SE area and we were stressing on finding a doggy daycare. We both work all day and didn’t want our pup to be home alone; he has a lot of anxiety & especially separation anxiety. We found Mary Ellen’s daycare and immediately she sounded like a good fit. We’ve been taking our pup to her for about a month now and it’s been going great! We were really concerned that his anxiety would be an issue and that maybe it’d be a bit much for Mary Ellen, but she quickly dispelled those fears. She’s been working with our pup and helping him adjust to the new routine and has been incredibly kind and patient. We’re so grateful to have found Mary Ellen ☺️☺️☺️
We LOVE Wag Along! Our pup has been going there for a while for daycare and comes home happy and exhausted. We've also boarded her there and had a great experience. Mary Ellen is knowledgeable, flexible and reliable, and it is such a great spot for our pup to spend some time each week! Our girl can be a little nervous to leave us (she grew up during pandemic stay-home orders), but warmed right up to going! I know how much she loves it by her excitement when we pull in for drop off & at the end of the day, she usually doesn't want to leave! We consider Wag Along her second family and highly recommend them for boarding or daycare :)
I feel grateful to have found this day care/boarding location for my pup! I’ve brought my pup there for day care and I’ve boarded her for as long as 5 days. My dog always leaves happy and tired from playing with all the other wonderful dogs. I trust that Mary Ellen keeps a watchful eye over all of the dogs while they are under her care. Mary Ellen is excellent at communicating with me and I feel 100% comfortable leaving my puppy there. I would highly recommend!
Mary Ellen is the best. We always leave our dog with her when we're away and have been doing so since 2016. As soon as we pull up outside her house, she starts whimpering to get out and join her friends. Mary Ellen has two dogs of her own, Margaux and Rou, both wonderful golden retrievers who our dog adores. They're kind of like benevolent older siblings to her. I often think our dog has a better time than we do — home away from home!
I took my anxious 1 year old puppy to Wag Along to try to help with her separation anxiety and socialization. Mary Ellen took extra good care of her and within a few weeks Bootsy was more confident and well behaved and she loves going to see Mary Ellen and to play with the other dogs. I appreciate how very easy drop off and pick up is, and that my pup is still clean at the end of the day. Mary Ellen is kind, responsible and the price is right.
We’ve taken our energetic 1.5 year old heeler Sylvie here since the beginning of the year, been a very positive experience. Space-wise it’s essentially a house & yard, rather than the typical warehouse type areas of other doggy daycares. We appreciate the fact that the owner, Mary Ellen, has been doing this a long time and is very hands-on – it’s good to know our pup’s with someone experienced & who really cares about both the animals & how things are run. She’s flexible and the whole process has been super easy. Price is pretty standard. Our dog is fairly high strung and at first she had a lot of anxiety about being left there. But after a little while she got over it, now it’s fun to watch her excitedly run to Mary Ellen & all her doggy friends in the morning. I think the daycare has actually helped out her maturation process. Mary Ellen sends video clips and/or photos during the day showing them playing & lounging around, which is fun for a doting dog parent like me. The pup comes home happy & tired. We just do part-time right now - to socialize Sylvie & keep her company while the humans work, also to create a familiarity in case we ever have to board her there sometime for travel. Highly recommended.
We love having our Sully with Mary Ellen. We never worry about him when he’s there. We use daycare and board with her when we are out of town. He is always excited to see her and she takes such good care of the pups in her care. Recommend her 110%.
Mary Ellen takes such good care of my baby, I never worry at all when she’s there. My dog was super timid before she started going about a year ago and now she’s so happy to go see her friends each time. Mary Ellen watches a nice variety of sizes and breeds, so she’s exposed to all kinds of dogs, which is helpful for the real world. I literally don’t know what I would do without her. We love Wag Along!
Mary Ellen is amazing, I’ve been trusting her with my dog for a while now. I recently used her for boarding, and she went above and beyond when taking care of my dog. I had to drop off my dog right after being injured and Marry Ellen took her with out hesitating. She gave her her meds and cared for her like I would have. She even sent me frequent updates and pictures to help ease my anxiety. I truly don’t think you will find a more caring pet sitter in the Portland area!
I love the free day opportunity. It is understandable sense my dog has been training through severe separation anxiety for a couple months after his previous owners kenneled him until he was 5 months. He's a quick study and the man that lead him into his dog daycare was the 1st my dog has ever gone with without pulling and the man saw that he was better the next day. Phew! I recommend this place. Check out the savings on the buying options. The price is right. Also feels like a good and happy neighborhood dog daycare. My dog came back tired and ready to eat. They have great prices on meals but I just feed him so he has a routine.
My beloved, healthy mini schnauzer DIED in their care from horrific injuries. Your dog is not safe with them. I trusted them with my sweet little pup and he never came back home.
I called to speak with someone about boarding my dog and they were so rude! I said, "Happy Friday! How are you?" To which they scoffed and replied, "What do you need?" I said I was thinking of boarding my dog, but not when they spoke to me like that. The person laughed and said, "That's fine." And hung up. if this is how they treat the humans, I worry how they treat the animals. No thanks.
This place is awesome!!! My dogs love coming here, and they are always so tired when I pick them up, which is great because a lot of the time during the work week, I do not have time to play with them. Cheaper than any other place in the PDX area as they have package deals for weeks/months. More days you buy, cheaper it is overall. Pickup/drop off process is quick and efficient. The sweet lady that works here is a hoot and always making me laugh. Thank you, Safe Journey!
I just gotta say, I absolutely love this place! The staff and environment are incredibly friendly and welcoming. my two rotties always have such a good time there. I know my boys can be difficult at times, but they are very patient with them and they always come home happy and healthy wiggle butts! <3
Been coming here for since my dog was a puppy and she loves it! When I drop her off she gets so excited and runs straight to the door to wait for Julia or Craig to come get her! We love Safe Journey and are so grateful for your services!
I have nothing negative to say about them. Only thing is that i wish they were closer to Troutdale. I absolutely love bringing my dog here. He always comes home very very tired. You can tell that the staff here is very knowledgeable about what they're doing as well. I drop him off before work or a trip and i leave with a peace of mind. i appreciate how they try to accommodate my schedule as well. I also love how they don't kennel their dogs. My dog has terrible separation anxiety and a kennel would not be a good time for him. I really appreciate this business, and the staff that can make it all happen. I will be recommending them to anyone who needs a great doggy day care.
This place holds one of the worst experiences I have ever had. This happened 1 year ago. I took my sweet old pup there for a few day care trials in anticipation of a potential 10 day stay. He seemed to liked it so I went ahead and book his long stay. Conin was at Safe Journey a total of 5 days and he died. They emailed me while I was abroad to tell me my dog had not eaten in 3 days and that he was in poor health. 3 days! I immediately had a family friend go pick him up and 24 hours later he was dead. Not only this has been dramatic and absolutely devastating, but I also had to deal with the complete and utter lack of responsibility Safe Journey decided to take regarding this after I arrived back in the US. I received long emails from them with just excuses. I strongly believed that my dog was left in isolation, not fed and not cared for at all. He was so dehydrated when my friend picked him up, that even after 24 in intensive care they could not revive him. This place is extremely dodgy, they thrive themself as specialized in "difficult dogs", and so i trusted these people with my 15 year old mutt. He was a healthy old pup, and within 5 days he became ill and died. They took no responsibility, they did not offer to reimburse me for the days he did not spend in there, there was zero care, only a bunch of excuses. The recent number of horrible review have encouraged me to speak up. At the time, I reported them to the better business bureau. I strongly encourage you to do the same if you had a poor experience there. Below is a photo of Conin on August 24th (the day I dropped him off) and the photo of him 6 days after. Bless him.
We love Safe Journey so much! Craig and the team care so much about our pup and make sure he’s having a good time- whether he feels like relaxing alone or playing with others. It’s such a life saver to have a neighborhood hang out spot we can drop in any day or time. The rates are fantastic as well. Thanks Safe Journey team!
My dogs love this place! Kennels can be anxiety inducing, especially for resuce dogs. At Safe Journey, they get to socialize freely, making it more natural for all the dogs. In addition to our dogs being happy, they have very flexible availability and fair pricing, a must for last-minute travelers like myself.
I LOVE this place! The little welcoming area doesn't even begin to allow you to understand just how great it is. I took my 1year old Frenchie who has never been in this type of environment. For $5 i get an update each day to see how she was playing, anything information important to know and the report card is just such an incredible offer. The humans who work there are so attentive and supportive to the pups. They are very kind when you engage with them in any form. The prices are beyond reasonable. The place is so much bigger for the dogs and has so many little offerings you can purchase. The boarding is free roam no crates. My girl comes home so pooped out and happy that she has a place to play and board if I go out of town. I have zero complaints and highly recommend!!
We've been taking our 9 month old puppy here for a few months now and we love it (and so does he!). The staff is super friendly and very clearly care a LOT about the dogs that go to them. I love love love the daily Instagram posts, I get more excited to see what he's doing at daycare than I think I ever was about my human kids at daycare (kidding. Or am I?). Webster gets SO excited when we get there, and I can tell that he loves it and loves the humans there. Also their hours are so convenient, and love that they offer kennel-free boarding.
Wooftastic is one of the best things to happen to us since moving here. Our girl has a lot of energy and this place has made a home for her there when she needs time to run around and be a crazy little lady. We always feel that she is so well taken care of, we love their no crate boarding, which is what she was used to. Everyone is kind and attentive and we would recommend this place to anyone who has a doggy that needs daycare or boarding.
Fern loves going to daycare. The way they run scheduling, pick up and drop off, and payment makes everything super smooth. Staff is very friendly and always makes sure to ask if he has food with him and reminds me to grab his container at the end of the day. Also love the convenient hours 6am-9pm, 7 days a week as well as a good price point. They post all of the dogs everyday so you can check in on your pup they also offer extras like treats and walks and do fun activities like bubbles, aromatherapy, nose balm. Overall great place definitely would recommend.
We've been lucky enough to send our precious dog Georgia to Wooftastic for the past 8 months. They've always been so nice and welcoming when we pick and drop her off. They have great hours and rates. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in search of a good doggy daycare.
I am so happy and grateful to have found Woof-Tastic for my pup, Maya! I have been SO impressed with the kindness of the staff, their communication, and care. The environment is bright and fun and just matches what you read and see online. And I can tell Maya, although still a little timid and shy, is warming up, feeling safe, and having a great time! I feel so relieved and can not reccomend Woof-Tastic enough! <3
My sweet Ruby is always so excited to go to daycare. The team there takes such good care of her and I never have to worry while I’m away. She comes home happy & exhausted. 10/10 would recommend!
I’ll let my dog’s smile speak for itself. I’m so happy we found Woof-Tastic! The flexible booking system is easy, and I feel my dog is safe with them which is important. My girl got so excited to go on her 2nd day that she couldn’t wait to say goodbye and go see her friends. The rates are more than fair, which is a big plus. 10/10.
We absolutely LOVE Wooftastic Playhouse! Our dog has so much fun there. He is safe and well loved. They post pictures of all the dogs to their Instagram each day, which I love! There's no other place that I've felt as confident boarding my pup. I highly recommend them!!!
This has been the best daycare for tater. He loves it. No hesitation to go in. He plays and runs with the others. Very happy compared to the last daycare he was at. Thank u
Mountain View was clean and comfortable for my 3 dogs. I believe they truly enjoyed themselves there and were happy With the arrangement in the kennel and outside.. They were especially friendly to the people there So I know they were very good to them and watched out for them as well. My. My 14 year old dog Really enjoys his time outside and this was perfect for him.. The puppies really I had a good time and and seem to love all the people there. I so appreciate them taking such wonderful care of them. I have not gone anywhere in several years and and I truly wanted to visit family I'm late I haven't seen quite some time. Very nice people, very nice arrangement, and great fun/care for my babies. Thank you so much Mountain View. Nora
It was the first time in two years that we were taking a vacation without our little ones so placement was very important. My son and his wife recommended Mt. View kennels so we decided to give them a try. Wow! My dogs loved it there. Even when we returned after being gone 12 days they didn’t run straight to us, but rather to the owner, Terry. Which tells me that they really enjoyed themselves. Even the transition back to their own home hasn’t been quite as clingy as it has been in the past. I love finding a facility for my dogs that they love and don’t mind spending time at.
Very nice, clean and well organized. We boarded our pups (9 months old) here for 5 days. We came to get them, they were still clean and happy. The owners are very kind, and the kennels are clean, good sized, and most importantly safe. The fenced in play area or break area is ample for two playful pups. I would highly recommend this place, and really appreciate the good care they gave our puppy's. Also, we brought plenty of treats, bedding and toys. We came back to pick them up, we got all their bedding and toys back. Thank you for being their for us, and for helping us have a good trip with no worries about our babies!
I have boarded my dog here several times and she does well there. That cannot be said of other boarding facilities. They are very accommodating and wish to make the dogs comfortable. My dog is blind and deaf, an elderly little dog on medication and eye drops. Terrie takes very good care that everything is given as prescribed. I highly recommend them.
Could not speak more highly of Mountain View Boarding Kennel. The amount of love and care that was given to our 3 small dogs was truly amazing. Communication from Terry throughout our extended stay away was so comforting. She paid special close attention to the needs of each of our girls, even providing a special diet for a high anxiety pup. The facilities are clean and secure. We love the grassy, fenced yard and indoor/outdoor options in each kennel. Our girls, their bedding, and their toys all came back clean, and our dogs were healthy and happy. We found a gem with Terry and Mountain View.
This is by far, the best place to take your dog in Oregon. The staff are incredibly friendly and great your dog with respect. My parents have been taking our dog here for 15+ years and we have never had a single complaint. The woman at the front desk is extremely friendly. You can easily tell that everyone working there loves being there and loves dogs. I hope this place never goes away.
The first time I used their service for my babygirl, she was fine and didn't come home with any injuries. However, the second time, she came home with a couple days old wound on her nose. When I asked the front staff about it, he said it had to have happened when I was picking her up, and she ran to the back to put her nose in another kennel and another dog got her. The wound was clearly not fresh, as in it happened while she was there a day or two before I picked her up. I received a call later that day and the lady said something entirely different. She stated she got that from pushing her food bowl around (something she never does). The way the wound looks, its definitely not from pushing a bowl. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. They didn't offer a discount or anything at all. We will not be going back to them. Who knows what they do to our animals when we are gone.
We just fostered our German shepherd here for 9 days. We left him with an old bed, two toys and plenty of food. First things first, and not a complaint just something I noticed- I calculated what we would have to pay beforehand ($25/day for 9 days - $225), but when we paid, our total was $229, not sure where this number came from as it's such a small difference, but if the pricing has changed, their website and pamphlets need to be updated. It was only $4 so I didn't bring it up. Anyway, that is literally the only thing I questioned. When I was initially looking for a place to board our dog, I stopped by and a gentleman was at the desk, I didn't get his name. But he provided me with so much information and gave me a full tour of the facility and explained the sleeping area, heated kennels, private run, and the large yard that each dog would be taken to during the day one at a time. The privacy was what truly drew us to this place, as our dog can be pushy with other dogs and doesn't know how big he is. Hunter was perfect and healthy and his same goofy self when we picked him up. Over the 9 days, Terry called us twice to provide updates on Hunter and her compliments of him were so wonderful to hear. We didn't have service during half our trip as we were up in the mountains, so she left a voicemail and getting that message when we came back into service was great and allowed us to enjoy our trip. We sent a really old bed with him that we didn't care if it got messed up, which we knew would happen. at some point it got urinated on so we tossed it, but thats why we sent that particular bed with him, plus we're moving and trying to get rid of stuff so it worked out perfectly! Terry mentioned she was going to try to wash the cover but couldn't remove it (we had put a fleece blanket cover on it where you get fabric and tie the edges together to make a blanket). That was extremely generous of her and definitely an extra-mile offer. When we got there to pick hunter up, all his things (food, bowl, toys, records) were at the front desk waiting and we just had to go back and get him and his bed. Very smooth process. Oh and you don't pay until you pick up your dog, which is kind of cool. The 5 star rating is definitely earned and deserved. I would leave a 10 star if I could. The only thing that would make it an extra special experience would be receiving picture updates of our dog running around the yard just to give owners peace of mind that their dog is getting yard time. I have no questions about it, but getting pictures is always fun. I absolutely 100% trust my dog in their care and love that we have such a great and affordable boarding option close by!
Have used Mountain View several times over the past few years. The facility is very clean and well run. And they love my dog. Anymore he willingly runs from the car to the kennel when I drop him off and doesn’t look back. Love this place!
Love Mountain View Boarding Kennel. No, they don't always answer the phone. They are busy taking care of your dog!! (Leave a message, they will call back) Cooper, my Springer, has boarded there several times. They are reasonable, convenient, and treat him well. It is a clean, well run facility. He gets fed, exercised and gets to bark at and with other dogs. They even wash his bed, before I return. Highly recommend it.
Susie's is absolutely amazing! Our Kono loves it there! Everyone there is so sweet and take such wonderful care of our little princess. Drop off and pick up is easy and smooth. She was excited to see us but didn't want to leave either! I highly recommend Susie's I'd give a 10 if I could!
I'd never boarded my dogs before. I always had house sitters. I tried Susie's and I was pleased. My dogs seemed happy when I picked them up and didn't smell. When I took them back the second time they seemed happy to be there, so obviously no hard feelings from before. The folks were easy to work with and the check in, check out process was smooth. Nice job folks!
I was helping friends while they were on vacation in Greece. I had to pick up and drop off Barnum, their dog, several times. The staff that work here are so wonderful. You can tell right away how much they love all the pets. I would definitely recommend Susie's and if I had a pet I would not take it anywhere else. You guys are the best.
If I were a dog, I would want my owner to board me at Susie's. Joking aside, I've used Susie's to look after my 3 dogs many times over the last couple of years and have had a consistently excellent experience. I have no doubt how much the people who work there love animals, it shows, and it gives me total peace of mind leaving my boys with them. Additionally, they are wonderful people, kind and helpful. I cannot recommend them enough.
This is the only boarding facility where I wasn’t worried about the well-being of my 3 pups while I was away. Adorable and thought setup. Friendly owner. Extra clean facility. Fair prices. The only kennel we’ll use in Vancouver. Make sure you book early- they are popular and space is hard to come by!
Greatest place and group of folks in the world. If you want a great safe place for your pet to stay at look no further! Absolutely love this place. Suzie, Bobby and Sarah are awesome!
Love Susie's. The dogs are always pleased to go and they seem to take good care of them.
This place deserves all of the awards it can get. And so do the people. I’ll never take my dog anywhere else. Susie’s Country Inn is amazing.
I NEVER leave my dog! However I had to board him for several days & I'm so fortunate a friend told me about Susie's. Welcoming, clean, wonderful staff, excellent care of my baby and reasonably priced. Years ago I had a bad experience leaving my dog so I am very critical of any facility. Susie's ticks all the boxes. You can safely entrust your fur baby to their care.
Susie is a fantastic trainer and she runs an excellent, clean facility that cares about you and your dogs. We have had to leave town fairly frequently and Susie has been dependable, her staff is friendly, the drop-off process is thoughtful and clear. I can't say enough about the facility itself; it has a great vibe. It's welcoming and professional. I know my pets are safe. We feel so very fortunate to have Susie and her team to care for our pets when life takes us out of town. Would recommend, thank you.
Our two miniature schnauzers, aged 2 yrs & 7 yrs, love A Dog’s Best Friend East. They have both attended daycare and overnights on several occasions. The staff is very caring and attentive. The facility is safe and clean. Our younger dog also completed the excellent board and train program. Both dogs are eager to join in the fun when they are dropped off. They come home happy and tired from a day of play. We are grateful for A Dog’s Best Friend and would recommend any of their services to dog parents who are seeking quality dog care in Vancouver.
What a great place for a pup that's learning how to socialize! We just took our 6 month old puppy to be assessed for daycare. I love that there are webcams so we could watch Miles interact with the other pups. The staff was extremely attentive, the facility is clean, and I loved receiving photos and a report card at the end of Miles' visit. Not to mention, playing all day wore him out and he got to burn off his energy in a safe and positive way! We can't wait to book more days there.
The facility is awesome the enrichment to build confidence and tackle new things is a first time for me. Their training is amazing. Special shout-out to Taylor. Everybody here is so knowledgeable but she was super helpful with our offsite training. Already made lots of progress on our nervous Nelly. Pic 1 enrichment. Pic 2 training with a slip lead to get more confidence at the park. Yes his sister walks him around and guides him with his stress and nervousness it's adorable 😍🥰
We loved the doggy day care when we lived closer. Never had any bad incidents or habits picked up. I fully trust the staff with my fur-baby. I still drive all the way from the coast just to use this location for “sleep overs” when I need help in a pinch. We also did the ~2-3 week board and train at around 1 years old, with Taylor, and specifically asked for leash skill help. She’s now two and calmly walks with a loose leash. I frequently get compliments on her behavior.
WOW! What a difference three weeks with Taylor and board & train at A Dogs Best Friend can make. Holy smokes. We are so happy and very proud of our dog’s progress and have so much to thank Taylor for. Folks send their dogs to board and train programs for many reasons. For us, we wanted support honing previously learned skills, learning recall, and curbing a few unwanted behaviors such as excitedly lunging and jumping at people, fence fighting, and barking. We were nervous about so many things. What would we do without our boy for three weeks? Would his sweet and playful personality be the same when he returned? Could we stick to it and reinforce his learning at the end of it all? The three weeks away were tough. But we timed it with a family vacation which helped a lot. As for the dog we picked up at the end; Ozzie is the exact same amazingly sweet and playful dog. But he is so much more confident, calm, and responsive. He honestly seems like a much happier dog. Almost like he feels and shares the pride we have in him. And with the tools and confidence it has given us, we can now give him the fulfilling life he deserves. THANK YOU, TAYLOR! We look forward to continuing this journey with you.
We are very happy with the training our puppy had. Our trainer was wonderful. She worked with us as well as Charlie. He has learned so much. A different dog. William and Carolyn Nicolay
I’ve been taking my Corgi to A Dog’s Best Friend East for boarding since we moved to Washington over two years ago. They have always been consistently welcoming, caring, pleasant and efficient. Several months back my dog needed medical attention while boarding. We were traveling out of state at the time. Staff was on quickly on top of things and took him to our vet nearby where we followed up.
Our puppy and I love ADBF! Luna was extremely shy and skittish before we brought her to this place for puppy kindergarten. Before this place, she would freak out and had accidents at the vet, and would scoot back when people and pets approached her. After bringing her to their kindergarten program, she has been more confident and happy to be around everyone! She no longer whines or shy away at the vet, she can tolerate/enjoy it when people and pets approach her now. I love the webcams they have on their website, we can see what she’s doing during the day. Also we receive report cards at the end of the day and it’s very helpful for us to understand what she’s learned during that day! She also stayed overnight when we were on our vacation and we received how she did overnight. I really love their report card system! We really appreciate the staffs at ABDF.
We had a great experience with the ADBF board and train. Taylor, the trainer, was wonderful with our 2 y/o dog, Iggy. Even though it was hard dropping him off, he came back calmer and just a better version of himself. He continues to make gains in confidence and impulse control each day. The best part is that his dog reactivity is virtually nonexistent now, which gives us new freedom to go anywhere without anxiety. We can just relax and enjoy each other’s company. Thanks ADBF!
My sweet pup learned so much and was well cared for. Taylor had such a calm demeanor at all times but was a respected leader for Lucy in her training. To be able to walk her on "heel" and be so mannerly in her obeying commands makes her even more of a joy. I'm very grateful for so many breakthroughs and will do my best to follow Taylor's training,
What a wonderful DogTown!! My canine companion and I have been attending obedience and agility classes for over a year. He is incredibly sociable and expresses his joy with melodious howls in the parking lot and upon entering the class premises. The positive atmosphere here is truly refreshing, unlike the classes where harsh methods like "collar yanking" are advocated for correcting dogs. Stacy and Amanda possess a nuanced understanding of canine behavior, evident in their passion for what they do. Utilizing treat-based training has proven effective for my dog, enabling him to perform tasks off-leash for extended periods without the need for constant reinforcement. My dog also hates having his nails trimmed and they are wonderful with him, kind and persistent until it’s done, and without the tranquilizers my vet wanted to use. *****
Have been attending this facility for many years. Have signed up for several training classes and also attend drop in classes hosted in the evening on Tuesdays and Wednesday every week. Clean facility that has been updated through the years. Great dog washing station and an array of treats snacks food and toys provided. Highly recommend their puppy classes and if your interested in showing the evening weekly drop in classes
We've been coming to DogTown for the past few years and the staff consistently amazes me. We've taken our dog Juneau to puppy training as well as agility training where they really train you (and the dog, somewhat)! Stacy, Brooke, and Amanda are all great leaders - fantastic communication and are very patient. We also take Juneau to DogTown weekly for daycare and occasionally board her. They usually post photos end of every day so you can find your dog if it was in daycare. All staff we've interacted with in person and online via email are friendly and quick to respond. Huge thanks to Alyssa too for always answering my questions and being flexible. Aside from 5-star customer service, we appreciate their approach to accepting dogs for daycare and boarding. Their positive training approach makes a perfect environment for pets. And if they don't think your dog will thrive in their daycare environment (like my older Yorkie after a couple of test rounds), they are honest with sharing what's best for the dog. Huge shoutout to DogTown for being a place we can trust.
This is a wonderful facility that offers you can do it, dog wash, doggy daycare, lots of accessories and merchandise for sale, and great training classes with wonderful staff!
The owner and her entire staff at Dogtown are caring and professional in everything they do. We have been coming for years for daycare, boarding, and obedience training for two of our dogs and could not be happier. Our newest dog is a rescue and was very timid and afraid when we first brought him in. The owner worked with us to gradually get him to feel safe there and now he runs in, tail wagging, pulling me behind him! Dogtown is a safe and caring environment for your dog.
My dogs and I participate in obedience training at Dog Town. We enjoy the packed hour long classes and our trainer.
the crew is incredible and the love for what they do shows each time I drop off or pickup my pup. ❤️
I first heard about Dogtown through quite a few of my clients taking their dogs here and having positive experiences. My dog is dog reactive and I had been trying to find a trainer with a Reactive dog class. Dogtown was the closest to me and I inquired about it. I had to take a private class with Stacy in order to be put on the waiting list, to ensure that he was alright to take the class. At that point they were 3 weeks into a class, and the next class was full, so I had to wait about 9 weeks. I do appreciate that the class sizes are smaller, and there’s only three other dogs in the class. This obviously helps to make sure everyone stays safe, but also make me feel better about not overloading Pistachio with a bunch of people and dogs at once. We went through the level one calm and collected and Dani is great! I already had been really working with my dog on his reactivity since November of last year. I adopted him last June and really didn’t know his history, and he’s also my first dog, so I’m starting from scratch with him. Since I had been working with him so much, and doing so much research on how to help him, taking the level one class didn’t necessarily give me any new information. However! the class helped him so much!! It was our first opportunity to be in a controlled environment with other dogs so we could work on that positive reinforcement! All the exercises/warm-ups that she had us do, though simple & small, were so helpful for him! For our last class Dani was able to bring in a neutral dog to work with everyone. I will say I was nervous about Pistachio‘s reaction, but I knew this was the best place to do this. The difference from week one to week six was insane! I had never seen him so relaxed, or focused on me ever! I was so proud of him, and so thankful that we were able to take the class, even though I did have my doubts at first. And the other dogs in the class made a lot of progress too, it was very cool to see how far everyone had come! We are now taking the level two class, and so far it’s been great! We’ve only had two classes, but I’ve learned tons more so far! This class is challenging both Pistachio and I a lot more, and having us work on areas that we haven’t really focused on before. I have no doubt that by week six he will have made a ton of progress! Maybe not as much as the level one since this is all new to him, but I think it’ll still be quite a bit!
Our dog has been going here since he was around 16 weeks old. Well-managed dog groups, amazing staff and owner. Johann loves everyone at DogTown!
I take my dog, Artemis, here every Saturday to play with other dogs in Daycare. She loves it! It's great and has really helped her socialize nicely with other dogs. We also took her through basic obedience, and the class was done so well! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who has a dog and needs training, or just wants them to get a little dog socialization time.
