Mary was fantastic from start to finish and looked after our elderly dog with love and attention to her needs. She also looked after our home with respect and care. We couldn't have asked for a nicer sitter and would highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.
Meg was a dream pet sitter for my three year old labradoodle. She gave him nice long walks and was very organized, communicative and tidy. I look forward to another opportunity to have Meg in my home!
Monique was very nice and easy to schedule with. She sent us pictures of our dog Maisie while we were away, which we enjoyed seeing. Maisie was well cared for and had gotten plenty of exercise by the time we got home. The house was spotless, which was lovely to come home to! She had taken the trash and recycling bins out, even though we hadn’t mentioned them to her before we left. She made sure to let us know if anything was amiss so there were no surprises when we returned. Would definitely recommend her as a pet and house sitter for others. :)
Lindsay and Bryce provided excellent care to our two cats while we were gone. They are great communicators, took amazing care of our apartment and send regular updates and photos so that we knew all was going well. We would absolutely recommend them as responsible and thoughtful pet sitters who can be entrusted with the care of your home and pets.
Linda was an awesome pet sitter for my doggie Brodie! She gave him so much loving attention… he has some separation anxiety at 9 years old & she never left his side! She was so attentive to him & I am very grateful for that! Linda’s communication was also something I liked… we texted & chatted on the phone before her arrival & I felt very comfortable with her being in my home & with my dog. I could tell her number one reason to pet sit was her love for dogs & desire to be a wonderful companion for Brodie while I was away for the weekend! Would love to have her back anytime…
Carolina was a fantastic Pet sitter. From the beginning, it was straightforward to communicate with her. She met us before we left our trip and ensured she understood all the house and pet logistics. Luna and Cal were very comfortable with her and were best friends with her fast. She was very affectionate with them, and Luna and Cal loved her and were very happy with her. Carolina was very responsive and sent updates. She was really lovely and easy to communicate with. She was very respectful of our space and very tidy. She even washed the sheets and towels she used even when she didn’t need to. She put a lot of care into caring for Luna and Cal, and they looked very comfortable with her. Having Carolina as a pet sitter made our trip very easy, knowing our pets were cared for so well. We would love to have her back to sit for us again and highly recommend her.
Laura was an exceptional, reliable, and loving sitter for our goldendoodle Scout, and took such good care of our home! Scout was excited to meet Laura immediately when she arrived at our home for this sit, and showered Laura with all the hugs and kisses. Scout has recently been having issues with seizures, so for this sit I was specifically looking for a sitter who had a depth of experience with giving medication and responding calmly in the event of an emergency. It was a big relief to be able to entrust Scout to Laura's capable and kind hands, and it was extra special that Laura's beloved vizsla had shared the same name. Laura is wonderfully easy to communicate and coordinate with, and was thorough in her care of our home. We came back to our garden looking great, house left in even better shape than I left it to Laura, and a very happy Scout! I cannot overstate how much we appreciated Laura's care for Scout and our home, and heartily recommend her as a pet and house sitter. If you're lucky enough to get on Laura's schedule, your pups will be with the most wonderful stand-in dog mom you could have hoped for!
Toby and we were SO lucky to have Tom be our home and pet sitter for our Thanksgiving Holiday trip! From the very beginning Tom was responsive and communicative. He was even able to arrange a "meet and greet" with us and Toby before beginning his stay. While here Tom took great care of our home, and, most importantly, provided wonderful care of Toby! When we got home everything was in perfect order and we could tell that even though Toby was happy to see us he was going to miss Tom. I would be thrilled if we could have Tom as our zeewoi again. You will be lucky if he can do the same for you. :)
5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Tyler, THANK YOU for allowing us to enjoy a few nights for the first time in a decade! Dean & Diana Smith
Thomas did an amazing job! We were very pleased with how well he was able to care for our 3 active Boston terriers. He was able to handle all 3 on a walk and feed them their special meal everyday. He even ventured out and took them to the beach which is no easy task for 3 excited dogs. Thomas did a great job communicating before and during the stay. We came home to a clean house with bedding washed. We had a handful of other pet sitters through this website and Thomas easily rates at the top of our list. Thank you for taking great care for the dogs and the house.

Best there is , this lady is a dog whisperer!
My springer was a nightmare to walk. She was scared of her own shadow and reactive to dogs/ people. With Karen’s support and advice, she is much happier and not reactive when out walking. We are even managing to walk at night in areas with lots of other dogs and people. I would definitely recommend contacting Karen to support you with your dog
I can highly recommend Karen, very knowledgeable, with a calm, friendly manner. I could only walk my 2 year old cocker spaniel Toby with a head collar (which he didn’t like) to slow him down as he pulled so much. He’s a great wee dog but being a lively spaniel he sets off on walks like a steam train. After 3 sessions I walk him with a harness and now know what to do to have him walking at my pace with a loose lead, something I felt was impossible before. Karen sent videos to reinforce what had been worked on each session and responded quickly to any issues which arose when walking Toby in between sessions. The training for proximity and disengagement has also improved his recall so off lead walks are also much more enjoyable. I’m delighted with how much Karen’s training has helped both Toby and I enjoy our walks together.
Prior to the massage treatments, my dog (Iyke) was at times crossing his front legs when walking and was quite stiff in his mobility. Following the massage treatments by Karen, Iyke is no longer crossing his front legs and he has a lot more flexibility when he walks. A big difference I have also seen is that previously there were certain occasions on walks where I may have to carry Iyke towards the end, however following his massage treatments, Iyke has been able to complete particular walks again without any issues – overall it has been a big improvement for the little guy and Karen was absolutely fantastic in supporting Iyke to relax, which is no easy feat for a Jack Russell! I cannot recommend Karen highly enough and will be booking further massage treatments for my little guy 💙
I booked 3 training sessions with Karen for my little Jack Russell rescue dog, Teddy, who is seriously freaked out by other dogs and barks aggressively. Karen has given me great guidelines on how to tackle my dog's issues and I am now optimistic that I might see some improvement.
Karen has been a dream helping us with our cockapoo pup Ruby. Ruby was always pulling on her lead when going out on walks. Karen with all her knowledge showed us the best way to stop Ruby from pulling and walks are not as stressful.. Lots of other advice and games to keep her busy but also help with her behaviour in the house. Thank you Karen, knowing you are at the other end of the phone is an added bonus 😀
Karen has helped so much with training my young lab - particularly with loose lead walking and helping him focus on me in the face of distractions. All positive reinforcement based. Highly recommend!
Very friendly and knowledgable. Karen came to us a couple of times to look after our Husky as we stayed on a large camping site. Karen gave us a much needed brake to allow us to have a day exploring without the need to check if a place was dog friendly. The training she did also helped in some areas our dog needed. We highly recommend her!
Our golden Retriever has come on in leaps and bounds with Karen. He now walks without pulling on his lead. He comes back when called. I am very pleased with how things are going plus he loves Karen. She has also been training me as well!!
I can’t praise Karen enough for her patience and skill with both me and my staffy, Spock. She explains everything clearly and there’s plenty of support outside of the sessions too. She’s an absolute gem and I’m so grateful she is able to housesit from time to time. Not only does Spock have a fantastic time with some training thrown in but she takes scrupulous care of my home. I can’t recommend highly enough.
Used this service while visiting Scotland on holiday. Karen was great with our Lurcher Lucy and would highly recommend her services. You will not be disappointed.
I cant yet speak to how our dogs feel as they have not stayed but the lady owner was charming showed us arround offered advise and discused cost. Its not new but dose seem well run safe place for your dogs. With family boxs and family walks if you have more than one dog
Highly reccomend these kennels both my dogs just love it there and when i collected them they both were crying they didnt want to leave and both were still crying until half way pass ibm road. Happy dogs equals happy owner.
Toby used to come home very tired and with no voice from other kennels and wouldn't be himself for days, but when he came home from flatterton farm he bounced through the door and started playing with his toys as if he had never been away! I don't know what they do different but it's nice bringing home a happy bouncy dog.
Can't thank the staff enough for looking after my collie for 8 days. Wilma was very caring and reassuring as it was the first time Millie had been away from us. We collected her yesterday and she was happy and healthy. We will definitely be using their services again next time we need Millie looked after.
Our cats were well looked after when we were on holiday last year, so they stayed again this year. Will definitely use again.
We left our boxer Ivy with Wilma at Flatterton Farm Kennels and she was looked after so well. Flatterton was recommended to us and I pleased to say Ivy looked well and happy when we picked her up.
This is a friendly family business with good facilities. You deal directly with the owners and your pets are well looked after. All pets have plenty of space to exercise.
Couldn't ask anymore. Staff are so friendly and welcoming . It shows how much they care for your beloved per . I can't thank them enough for the quick actions they undertook when my dog became very poorly
Fantastic kennels would recommend to anybody we have used them for a number of years we got them recommend to us by our old vet as that was she used
We use the kennels for our dog for holidays etc ... been coming with our dogs for years ... can't praise or recommend them enough ..
Had need for dog daycare to attend family funeral at short notice, Chris couldn’t have been more accommodating. Very helpful and kind, lovely kennel and beds, complete with toys , my collies were very happy and safe which was a weight off my mind at a difficult time. Highly recommend. We will be using again when in the area over summer. Thank you
We needed a kennel for Sam and we found this lovely kennel just outside Dunoon. The kennels are great, a nice bed including toys and an outdoor erea and it is all spotless clean. The owners will do everything to make your dog feel at home and they realy looked after Sam and that gives us peace of mind. This was the second time for Sam and for sure not the last time.
Cancelled booking with us via email with 2 weeks notice, we needed kennel as we were going sailing. Now need to find another just as we're leaving to ccome to Scotland. When asked for reason "ongoing Covid situation".....you can't catch it from Dogs.
Closed no longer at home as I was advised by my friend
Great to deal with and Sassy is always well looked after
Fantastic boarding kennels and cattery. Have used Ardnadam for both my cats and dogs several times, and received regular updates throughout their stay. Highly recommend.
If you're in search of a puppy trainer who truly cares about your furry companion's well-being, look no further than Rhona from Who Let the Dogs Out!!!. I had an excellent experience working with Rhona and can confidently say that she is an exceptional trainer who goes above and beyond to ensure that your puppy receives the best possible care. From the very beginning, Rhona was incredibly warm, friendly, and easy to work with. She took the time to understand my puppy's unique personality, habits, and needs and tailored her training program accordingly. What impressed me the most about Rhona was her patience and kindness towards my puppy (and to me as a new pet owner to be honest). Rhona's training methods are highly effective, and I was amazed at how quickly my puppy responds to her training methods. She uses positive reinforcement techniques that are both and effective, and my puppy responds well to her style of teaching. I appreciated how Rhona emphasised the importance of consistency and repetition, and she provided me with practical tips and advice to help reinforce the training at home. Overall, I cannot recommend Rhona from Who Let the Dogs Out!!! highly enough. She is a fantastic puppy trainer who truly cares about the well-being of your furry friend. If you're in search of a trainer who is patient, kind, and effective, Rhona is the perfect choice. Her training programme is top-notch, and you will see a noticeable improvement in your puppy's behaviour after just a few sessions. I am so grateful for Rhona's help and expertise, and I know that my puppy and I will continue to benefit from her training sessions for years to come.
Our dog Clyde has been very well looked after by Rhona. He started in the beginning with puppy visits, Rhona was so attentive to him and he had a great time playing in the garden. He now does hour long walks and he is so happy and excited to see Rhona each day. Rhona communicates with us regularly to update us on how he's doing. Fantastic Service 🐕🦺
Over the last few months, when ill-health has restricted our dog-walking activities, Rhona has proved to be a life-saver. She has formed a strong bond with Sullie, our hyper-active Springer and they both seem to really enjoy their outings.
Rhona is an amazing Dog Walker. Our dogs love going with her each day and she’s always on time. Very flexible if required. 100 % recommend.
Our pup loves loves loves going to Rhona’s! She is so excited every time we drive to Rhona’s! Rhona is super caring and so so good with our pup! We trust her completely! Highly recommend!
Always a Fantastic service from Rhona, our boy just loves his walks with her and is very well looked after
Poppy loves her time with Rhona, is very excited when she arrives for walks, and is perfectly cared for. Highly recommended.
Our puppy Rosie has come on leaps and bounds in just six training sessions with Rhona. Her experience and expertise are a joy to behold and Rosie just loved her time with her. Can't recommend highly enough.
We have used Rhona for almost 1 year now and she has been great! We know our dog has a great time with Rhona because she never wants to come home with us when we pick her up. Rhona will also send updates throughout the day to let us know how she is getting on. 5 stars 😊😊 …
Excellent service and not expensive - used many times and would recommend highly.
Our dog George (see photo taken by Elaine) has been visiting the Happy Hound Hotel for 8 years and we think the set up there is brilliant. The best bit is that the dogs are free to come and go between the house and the yard as they please, and they get a big field to run around and play together for exercise. This is so much better than being stuck in a concrete cage and getting a perfunctory walk around a yard, which is the set up at the other places we looked at. Elaine is really nice and looks after the dogs well. One time I turned up with George unexpectely as there had been a mix up on dates. I turned up at Elaine's front door and her husband answered it (holding a new baby). As he wasn't expecting me he had every reason to be a bit put out, but the way he greeted George it was like one of his family. In summary, a great place for your dogs; I can't recommend it enough. Only thing to watch, is book early as places get booked up quite quickly.
We're really happy that we found the Happy Hound Hotel as our two dogs love it. The rooms are great and the outdoor space is brilliant with different enclosed runs and a big paddock for the dogs to play in. Elaine is great with our two girls, one of which is a rescue, and she is happy to cater for raw food as well. She sent us lots of pictures when we were last away and it was great to see the girls so happy. So much better than traditional kennels.
We've been using Happy Hound Hotel for our dog for a few years now and we highly recommend this place. We love receiving photos and updates about our dog and it's reassuring to know he's having a wonderful time and he's settled. We love the outdoor area and the clean rooms provided for dogs. We think of the Happy Hound Hotel a holiday home for our dog where he has a chance to play with other dogs and run around. We are confident he's well looked after as as he will be at home. Please book well in advance as the demand is high for such a good service.
The Happy Hound Hotel have been looking after our much loved dogs for a good number of years now. Our first dog had boarded in a few different places both in Ireland and Scotland but never seemed to enjoy the experience - the Happy Hound Hotel was just a world apart. He was so relaxed and happy and as an owner you know when they're really content and they happily skip back when they get to visit again. I was worried about leaving our second dog but things couldn't have been better. The premises are beautifully decorated and kitted out with lovely beds, sofas, decor - the only difference to other hotels are the very happy dogs enjoying the amenities instead of humans! More important than that, Elaine, Andy and family are so good to the dogs. Quinn has been treated like one of the family and even the children remember the dogs by name and the dogs are as pleased to see them. The dogs get fantastic walks in the stunning surrounding landscape and the genuine loving care that you would give your own dog. Make sure you book early as they're rightly very popular and fill up much more quickly than most places. I think everyone who's used them turns into a returning customer for life!
Calvin our cockapoo has been going to the Happy Hound Hotel for his summer holidays and other short breaks since we got him three years ago. He’s always well looked after and happy there. We didn’t want to put him in kennels and this is a great alternative. The dogs have much more freedom and a comfy room to stay in. Elaine the owner is lovely. She sends us photos while we are on holiday. Calvin always looks happy running about the fields. Calvin always looks well cared for when we pick him up at the end of our break. Highly recommended!
We left our 4 year old cavachon with Elaine and Andy for 2 weeks .It’s the first time we’ve ever left her and Elaine sent us pictures of her throughout her stay . We could see how happy and well cared for she was . I wouldn’t ever hesitate to leave her with Elaine and Andy , she had a ball and we had peace of mind .
We have been a regular user of the Happy Hound for 7 years now and my dog loves it. Elaine & Andy are great & I have no worries about leaving my boy with them. They have the dog’s best interest at heart and make their stay with them comfortable & fun. On my summer holls away I get photos & regular up dates on how he is doing & I think I am missing him more than he misses me. I would definitely recommend the Happy Hound hotel. We would be lost without them. X
My dog loves his stays here, flys out the car and doesn't look back. Great secure areas for dogs to run about.
The best dog place ever. I have not booked holiday if I can’t get my girls into the Happy Hiund Hotel. They love it. It’s like a home from home and I feel really safe leaving them there. Elaine is really lovely and cares about the dogs she looks after. Highly recommend her and also the dog grooming business she does too.
I have used Happy Hounds for both day care and boarding for my 2 year old Labrador, Max, since he was about 6 months. He loves going there and is well walked and looked after. Elaine and her husband are so gentle with the dogs and have taught max several commands which have helped us at his feeding times. I have recommended Happy Hounds to several people and will continue to do so in the future 🐶
