Do not use this dog boarding place. It’s taking me a year to do this but it’s time. A year after my two dogs death I think it’s right people know not to board their dog here. I boarded 3 dogs here last year when going out of town. Upon arrival I knew I had messed up. The entire place was old, run down, and smelled horrible. They let me back into the room so I could walk my dogs to the kennels and I immediately began to panic at the sight of their kennels. They were incredibly small, wooden, and the dogs were all freaking out. They were trying to stick our dogs into one small kennel even though we had paid for separate. Upon me telling them that, they moved them to one small kennel and one large one for two dogs. I still didn’t want to leave them there but my family convinced me it would be okay and we didn’t have a choice. Upon my better judgement I left them there. The entire trip I was worried sick about them and when called about them barely got any updates. I normally boarded with two different kennels that I have seen inside and out, and are leaps and bounds better. I wanted to try this one out because it was closer to our new house and had land for the dogs. To this day it is the biggest regret of my life. When I picked them up one of my dogs had not been given her insulin properly and her diabetes was rampant. She went in able to see perfectly fine and came out completely blind. She went in physically fine with no injuries and came out with a torn up bloodied nose and tears in her skin and tail. They tried to make an excuse but what kind of excuse can you give me? She went in able to walk decently enough but had to be carried out from not being able to see and her back legs failing her. My other two dogs were also in bad condition. Their beds were completely soaked in urine, which has never happened. One of the beds was not returned to use for almost two weeks as they claimed to be cleaning it and when it was finally returned it was ruined. A 150$ bed, but nothing compared to what I really lost. The day after I brought them home I took them to the vet and was told they had Kennel cough on top of everything. Two days later I had to put my female dog with diabetes down. The kennel cough rampaged her body and exacerbated her diabetes. That place was her demise and I put my trust in them. Absolutely shattered me. One of my other dogs, older, never recovered from the kennel cough that he had for nearly a month until he finally died from complications due to it. The other younger one recovered after two months thankfully but he and us never got over the loss of the two other dogs. I trusted this place and lost two dogs. Some things are out of our control but a disgusting, unclean, unsafe place is not one of those things. I blame them for my dogs deaths but I blame myself even more for putting them there in the first place. Board at your own risk. I do not need further response than the one I initially got as nothing can be said further about what happened a year ago.

Great experience for my pups. One who is very dog reactive and the team there understood my concerns and took very good care of my pup. The other pup is skittish but warms up afterward. I like that I can schedule an exit grooming, and they smell and look so clean. I recommend Ruff Country to friends and family and even people I see at the park lol.

My pup came home with large scabs on her face. Easily 4 inches long and 1 inch wide. Zero communication about what happened. When I called to ask, no one knew or even noticed she was hurt. Furthermore they seemed annoyed that I was concerned and acted as though this was not their problem. If you love your dog and want them to return unharmed, I suggest you find a different place.

We think our dog likes this resort better than our house! Definitely two paws up!

Left both our dogs here. My dog has seizures and they gave her medicine and she didn’t have any seizures. Under stress too. This place is amazing!!!!

Mary did a great job on attending to my pup . She even bathed her after muddy weekend visits. Place is very reasonable priced with excellent staff . Thank u 💓 …

Very poor communication. My dog came home very sick. He had lost a lot of weight from not eating and no one ever communicated with me that he was ill. I tried to call and speak with owner but he never called me back. We will not be going back.

If you need to find a place to board your dog during vacation or play during the day, look no further. The staff at Ruff Country will make sure that your dog is well taken care of while you are away. I was very pleased with the service that they provided my fur child and I while I was on vacation. I know she was well taken care of, and that she had a great time. I definitely recommend their services.

I've brought my two littermate dogs here a few times now for both shorter and extended stays, and we've had a great experience every time! My girls always come home happy and not at all stressed out (which has happened quite frequently with other boarding situations). They are rescues with their own set of quirks, and the folks at Ruff Country do a fantastic job making sure they are well taken care of, including giving them individual playtime as they are not able to play well in a group. I will absolutely continue to bring them back here as long as we are in Memphis.

We are so glad we found Waggles Stay and Play! They take such good care of our dog that last time I picked her up she didn't want to leave and she kept trying to run back inside! The ladies working there are obviously animal lovers themselves, and they take the time to give the dogs individual attention. It's also so nice to get a text in the middle of our trip with pictures of how our fur baby is doing while we are away. They are also a lot more flexible on pickup and drop-off times than our vet's office. I highly recommend Waggles stay and play!

Waggles is the best! They are kind and make it feel like we are leaving our fur baby with friends or family. This is such a great feeling for those of us who worry and hate to be away from them to start with!! Sarah Ann is especially sweet -our Chloe loves her! She also tries to be as accommodating as possible-understanding that we can’t always be there by 5 or 6 and doesn’t make us wait til the next day. I love Waggles and am so happy to have found them!!

Absolutely fantastic experience. The staff is incredibly friendly, you can tell they actually enjoy being around dogs. I left my dog, KC, for a week while going out of town. I always get nervous when leaving her somewhere because of all the stories of neglect you hear about boarding places. Something about Waggles immediately set me at ease. The inside, especially for having so many dogs there, is very clean and the area around there gives me a unique and wholesome feeling. One of the best parts of Waggles is how upfront with you they are. They really care for the dogs as one of their own. The will spend time with them each one on one and make sure they can make them as comfortable as possible. I was even texted pictures of KC while I was out of town. When I came back to get her after giving payment I was invited to see the area where they keep the dogs and was very pleased with how much room she had and how clean the inside of the dog’s areas were. I brought KC’s medicine with her so she wouldn’t go untreated and they used it every night as instructed. After having her home she seemed very normal. Obviously happy to be home but nothing worrying what so ever. I even got a text a couple days after making sure she transitioned back well. Hands down the best place I’ve ever left her and will absolutely 100% take her back every time in the future. Thanks for being such a friendly group of people!

We have used Waggles on several occasions, once for 15 days, for our 3 little doggies. They love going and we trust them. We love the updates and pictures especially !!! Sarah has had them the last couple of times and we love her and so does our babies. Everyone on staff has been so kind 😍 We will continue to use them. The Fourniers

We are very happy we decided to give Waggles a try. Exceeded our expectations. The staff is very friendly and cared about our dogs needs. As hard as boarding our furkids is on us, Waggles made it easier and even texted us some pictures while away from them. Highly recommend! Will use them again. Diamond in the rough!

Great affordable boarding for our pups. They even text me pictures of the pups almost every day. Mickey and Tori were super nice.

Great experience! Rhwy sent videos and pictures of our dog and made sure he was well taken care of. They follow your instructions and make sure the pup is comfortable while your away!

The care they gave our pups was great, I love dropping off my pups here. The best part are the photo pupdates, it helps ease my anxiety to know my babies are happy while I'm at work or away on vacation.

My pups love Waggles! Every time we get there, they run right in. The staff is so helpful, too. I would highly recommend. The staff really cares about my pets.

Claridge did an amazing job with my 10 year old Aussie boarding him for over a week! He has had some rough experiences in the past with other boarding facilities and has storm anxiety. We were so nervous to leave him anywhere. They gave us a free day before the trip for him to get to know the workers and get used to the environment. I feel like this really helped him adjust a lot. By the time we came back for his actually boarding he was already excited to go back. I think my favorite think was them keeping in contact with me and even sent me pictures of him to ease my own anxiety (I included the photo they sent me of him in his room after play time). They bathed him before pick up for free and took extra care to make sure they used soap he wouldn't have issues with. We got his feet cleaned up and nails filed and they looked amazing! He was having such a good time that when we came to pick him up he didn't even realize we were there. He came out wagging his tail, following the girl who brought him out, thinking he was going outside to play just happy as could be! When we brought him home he was a completely happy puppy! I couldn't thank Claridge enough for putting us at ease and giving my puppy a safe place to be when we have to go out of town❤️

If you love your pet more than anything in the world this is your place for them when you are away! Truly a rare find and one of a kind experience for your pet! Absolutely terrific place! Chance had his first visit today and we could't be happier! Chance is a rescue/shelter dog and gets nervous about new places and people. Everyone made Chance feel extremely welcome! They gave Chance what every rescue/shelter dog needs and that's an open heart and chance! Emily and her staff are absolutely terrific! They went above and beyond for Chance even trying potato wedges to see if he would open up more to them! They even gave him a donkey where he would have a familiar smell of the place for his next visit! Currently he's sleeping with it! We have a plan for Chance to come visit to interact with the staff more where he can build his confidence! Thank you to everyone who works there for making today an extremely exceptional day for Chance and I!

Beautiful accommodation for my little fur baby. Staff is friendly and they go above and beyond to make sure that he’s happy and content during his stay. Could not recommend enough!

Claridge is awesome! When we first moved here, we boarded our dogs at a very well known and highly reviewed kennel in Memphis. Our dogs were completely traumatized by the experience and both needed vet visits upon our return resulting in nearly a $1000 bill to get them back to feeling better. Needless to say, I was extremely nervous about boarding anywhere ever again. However, we decided to give Claridge a trial run for a long weekend a few months ago and both our English bulldog and French bulldog did amazingly well. We boarded again over spring break for 9 days and came home to happy and healthy dogs! Sweet relief! We won’t be going anywhere else for future travels. We highly recommend Claridge. The staff genuinely seem to care and are always prompt with a response while away. Thanks to all! You guys rock!

My dog’s second home. My sweet boy has been going to the Claridge for 8 years now and he loves it. They have treated my dog so well and have taken great care of him the many times I’ve had to board him there. When I was active duty they were very understanding and helpful when running late to pick him due to my unstable schedule. They always did their best to accommodate my schedule and be able to care for my baby while I was away. My dog loves it there so much it takes my a while to get him in the car when I pick him up because he wants to go back inside. I can tell by his reaction that he is treated well and loved by the staff. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and have been awesome during this crazy year of Covid. I enjoy the many fun activities they plan for the furry babies and always send videos of pictures of my baby during special events. The Claridge Pet Resort has been my babies favorite place when he’s not home. They provide great service, love our babies and care for them like their own. I highly recommend this facility to all dog owners.

We have been sending our dogs to the Claridge for daycare and boarding for the past four years and my dogs (and my husband and I) love everything about this place! The facility is top notch and dogs are boarded in private rooms, not cages. And, while boarding, my dogs also attend daycare during the day so I know they're having a great time and getting plenty of exercise and energy out - they enjoy their vacation at the Claridge as much as we enjoy our vacation (and I can always relax and not give my dogs a second thought because I know they're in great hands)! My dogs also attend daycare at least once a week and they get so excited about going - we can't even say "Claridge" in our house in front of them unless we're planning to take them. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and they obviously love dogs! The daycare even has themed holiday events for the dogs like a Halloween party (with a costume contest!), Valentine's day party, pictures with Santa, etc. I could not recommend the Claridge more highly! We wouldn't even consider sending our dogs anywhere else.

We love Claridge Pet Resort! We have been going to Claridge for many years and all of our dogs love it there. The accommodations are so nice. Dogs staying at Claridge get more one-on-one time with the staff than they do at other boarding facilities. They also offer more ways to customize your dog's daily schedule while staying there. The staff at Claridge Pet Resort has always gone above and beyond to meet the needs of our dogs.

I have been taking my Bax (Baxter) to Claridge since 2018. We absolutely love the place! I’ll enroll him in daycare and grooming about once or twice a month. It’s great social interaction for the pups. We always book for boarding if we go out of town. Emily is awesome! All of the staff are super friendly, and responsible. Chris (the groomer) does a great job with Baxter. He always leaves clean and handsome. Claridge is your best bet for your fur babies! Highly recommended!

Claridge Pet Resort is the ONLY place we would leave our 3 pups. They care about each dog as if they were their own. Claridge knows the owners AND the animals personally. My favorite part is they celebrate every holiday with the dogs and cats just as if they were small children. They take pictures with Santa, donuts with dads, and have dress up contests on a regular basis. Our whole family LOVES Claridge!!

I am so surprised to see negative reviews on the Claridge Pet Resort. I just want to weigh in here because my dogs have had the best possible experience. I have two rescue dogs both that had big issues when we first adopted them. The first dog had been abused and was fairly anti-social and scared of everything. Also very protective of us so I was worried how he would do at day care or overnight. He loves going to Claridge. My second dog is a fairly recent rescue. When we first brought him into our home he was a nervous wreck. He settled in but I was extremely worried about what would happen if I had to send him to day care. As it turns out, a situation presented itself that I now have to send them both every day for at least the next month. Today the two of them were so excited when I said "get in the car", it is time to go to the Pet Resort. When I dropped them off..they couldn't get out of the car fast enough and were extremely happy to see the staff. They come home after the day and are actually happier then when I leave them alone during the day. The care they get is amazing. The staff knows all the dogs personally and is always so gracious when I call with a last minute request. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for day care or for overnight, longer term stays. My dogs love them! So...from Rhody and Mikey...they say give Claridge Pet Resort 10 stars... if you could!
