I was looking for a kennel just for one day/night while my daughter was in her swim meet in Hinton. I was a bit nervous because we had never been here before. It was the best experience I have had with any kennel. The owner is very welcoming and gave me a tour of the entire place. Her friendly demeanor and love for the dogs she had in her care at the time were absolutely clear. My heart was full when I came to pick up my dog and he was lounging outside in a large play area with another dog, happpy as a clam. Usually because of my dogs size and energy he does not get much of a chance to socialize. I will definitely be using her facility next year and anytime we are passing through. Thank you for taking such great care of my fur baby <3

Tara is truly amazing. If you are looking for somewhere to take your dog(s) for the day or to stay overnight, without worrying about them, this is the place! Our dogs know when we are turning in to her property and get just as excited as they do for the dog park, they can hardly wait. Tara has a large fully fenced property with many different set ups within (multiple fully fenced outdoor areas) and has considered every possible need they could have. She is so attentive and you can tell she really cares for and understands every dog that visits her. Can't recommend her enough.

If you are looking for a safe and playful place for your fur baby, in Hinton! This is it. We are so glad we found this place, Tara is amazing and she ACTUALLY love dogs, she have different play areas for all type of dogs. I had my dog there for overnight and when I picked him up, he was as happy as when we left him there. Thanks again Tara. You are amazing.

We left our puppy at the kennel for two nights, and he had a fantastic time socializing with other puppies and enjoying himself. Tara is incredibly friendly and genuinely cares about the dogs, which gave us great peace of mind. Highly recommend this kennel for anyone looking for a safe and fun place for their pets!

We stayed with Tara for a few days in our trailer while we visited Hinton. We observed Tara’s knowledge, patience and understanding of all her dogs. She is exceptional. It’s easy to tell she loves what she does and the dogs love her . They are very well looked after . They play and get along so well. The place is very clean and her set up is well thought out. She is always looking to improve things and works long hours to accommodate. The dogs are kept indoors for the night . They have provided pools which the dogs really enjoy. The toys are cleaned daily and pens cleaned and sanitized. I would highly recommend her and would definitely take my dog to her if I had one ! It’s a great place for your dig and you can feel stress free knowing your dog is in great hands

Tara is exceptional with the dogs. I have stayed with my travel trailer on her average for a few days when we were passing through Hinton. I have been able to witness how dedicated she is to her job. The animals just love her and follow/listen to her when she spends time in the kennels with them . The pens and kennels are so clean and sanitized regularly. I have three dogs, one who especially barks a lot. I couldn’t help but notice that her dogs in the presence of my dogs gave a calmness to mine. Mine didn’t bark! Mine walked around even big dogs and weren’t scared!. It was amazing to see! I would highly recommend Home Sweet Home doggy daycare as your number 1 place to give your dog a play day or a safe happy home away from home

Peace of mind for a worried pet mom!!! This was the first time I had taken my dog here and it was an amazing experience. The property is safe, very clean, and beautiful and all the dogs were calm and happy. I’ve never been to a kennel where you could stand in the same room as all the dogs and have a conversation . My dog is very emotional and has a little separation anxiety, and she just walked right in like she was meant to be there. When I picked her up she had a different demeanour than she had at other kennels She was happy and very calm. I will gladly take my dog to Tara anytime I need to kennel her now, and I strongly recommend Home Sweet Home to anyone looking to board their fur baby!

We are so thankful to have found Home Sweet Home Kennels. We had to drive to Hinton for a job and needed a place for our dog to stay for a few hours. Tara was so accommodating with our last minute request. The property is beautiful and fully secured. Our dog had a large space to run around and play. I would absolutely recommend Home Sweet Home Kennels!

Home Sweet Home Kennels is the go-to kennel in Hinton! Cleo (my rescue dog with severe separation anxiety), adjusted quickly and started playing well with other dogs. She was so comfortable that she didn't want to leave when we came to pick her up. Highly recommend Tara's care and expertise!

Would recommend to anyone! Tara took great care of our two fur babies for the day. She asks lots of questions about your dogs and accommodates their personalities and needs. Our dogs were happy and tired when we picked them up!

I brought my very furry, horribly matted dog Piper here, and just wow. She looked like a completely different dog. I have gone to other groomers before, and never had Piper look half as good as she did after they finished with her groom. The work they do is meticulous, and well worth the price. I will only ever bring Piper to them from now on.

I love this place. They are very caring about the animals. And now she's going on maternity leave so I have to find another groomer. It sucks

Would like to say how great K9 Wellness is. My one dog Freya was so scared of getting her nails cut and they did so good with her she wasn’t even upset when leaving. She also had a deshedding and so far it’s been amazing not to have so much hair left behind. My other dog Abbie had a wonderful hair cut she is so much cooler now. They are the best. I recommend them for sure.

We have been taking our golden doodle here for a couple years now and love it! They are so good with Claudie and treat her like family. Also it’s hard to find a groomer that can cut a good doodle cut. Diana works with you so you so you can get the cut you want for your doodle. 10/10 recommend

We always take our sons dog to K9 Peak Wellness. Dianna is phenomenal with him. He comes out looking beautiful and they treat him with such kindness, it is so heartwarming. Definitely 5/5 for exceptional dog grooming

Diana and Danielle at Peak K9 Wellness will make you fell like family. My pup Layla and I have been training with Dianna since Layla was little, now shes one and we are ready to take on some cool new tricks. I also highly recommend the raw dog food for your furry friend. They will love it!!

I decided to switch my big boxer mastiff Nemo to the raw food they carry and what a change in his appearance after only a month and a half!! He sheds wayyy less and everyone has commented saying how shiny his coat looks! He is also way less gassy 🤣 the ladies are wonderful and the service is top notch! …

Amazing dog store in Edson. Loved it! Highly recommended!

I absolutely love this store. The staff is off the hook. I've been to several Pet Valu locations, and Edson is by far the best. I take my boy, Snoopies, to have his bath every other Thursday. He loves it there. Fantastic store

Price is on par for the products and services. Wonderful ladies working there. Are very polite and helpful. Only thing I find concerning are the bettas sitting in those tiny plastic containers. A pet store should know better. Also, Living World brand is a generic product that offers pet foods and products that can be very dangerous for pets. The products are usually colorful foods that have no real value to the animal and are produced in this way to catch the human eye. Animals really dont care if their food is blue or brown

This is a great store, knowledgeable staff and love the 50% products too.

Garret was extremely patient and helpful, and helped us find everything we need. They have lots of selection so it can be a bit overwhelming but this is a good thing because if you care about your animals you want to do some research on what you're buying and get brands that aren't as toxic. this is definitely the place to go to, I reccomend tiika after dark for wet cat food, and once again Garrett was very patient and knowledgeable in helping us find the right products as we're very picky. Two very nice ladies spent a great deal of time helping me to choose the proper food for my puppy. They were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and patient, answering the thousands of questions that I asked. Very nice dog wash as usual in Pet Valu stores. 5 stars!!!

Came in to use the dog wash station as there was a sign outside advertising it and our dog had just swam in a swamp accidentally, we showed up 45 minutes before closing and were told the pet wash stations were closed for the night. We asked if they could make an exception given that we had nowhere else to wash off our dog and their sign was still outside and didn’t say anything about it only being available during certain times. They ended up allowing us to use it but the staff member was extremely rude about it and made us feel really uncomfortable and guilty for doing so. I was planning on staying after to peruse the store and pick out a new toy and some treats for our dog but because of the way we were treated I just wanted to get the heck out of there. I would suggest the store be more clear about the hours that certain services are available so people aren’t made to feel like a burden if showing up at the wrong times, and also to train their staff to be kinder to customers. I’d also like to note that we have used the dog wash stations at other pet valu locations and as long as the store is open, so has the pet wash station been, so if this store is different, it should be advertised on the website and on google to eliminate confusion.

We went in looking for doggie jackets and found one for each of the two dogs and found the perfect little sweater and jacket for our beloved puppies. The price was almost unbelievable the one for the big dog was originally priced at 50$ we got it for 19$ and the sweater for the little doggie was only 9$. I searched the big box stores for any type dog jacket to no avail so the selection here was great many styles and sizes to try on and choose from. There was free dog biscuits and a dog food scoop. They have never been in a store so they where excited. The two ladies behind the counter came and helped us choose the perfect jackets and answered all our questions great job. I will be recommending this location to all my friends and family with pets. Ps there's a pet wash station. I didn't even know that was a thing!

Jo Ann did an amazing job with my dog Bo! He is a farm dog who has never been to a groomer before, and she did such a good job getting him all cleaned up and making him feel comfortable. She even gave me an update part way through to let me know how he was doing. I knew that Bo was in good hands. He looks great and smells great!

Hello Friends! Finnigan here I just wanted to say a few things about Jo Ann (Jo). First off I really didn’t like getting in the car to go get my hair done at all. I would shake, speak my mind & whine even, but mom still took me. However, since we found Jo it’s been great! Mom lets me smell around outside for a bit then I get to go in and hang out with my three friends. While Mom & Jo chat about me, you know the dos, do nots because let’s face I don’t want to look stupid. Jo always makes me feel great, she doesn’t body shame me like my old hair cut place used to, no cuts or nicks & she tells mom if she finds things like lumps & bumps. She gives me a nice relaxing bath & scrubs out all my icky. She shaves me down so nice so I can feel the warmth of the sun on my body without all my hair in the way. She leaves my tail longer because I don’t like having a skinny rat tail, I like my curls to come out & it matches my ears nicely, not too long but just long enough to get all those looks from people asking if they can pet me. Boy oh boy do I LOVE all the new scritches I get after my haircut!! She also gives me a great pedicure and manicure which by the way she offers free nail cutting. Every time I get picked up I feel like I just got out of the spa, I smell so good with essential oil’s & like a new dog ready to take on new smells, grande adventures & hanging out with my friends. Thank you Jo (Jo Ann) for making me feel like a million bucks every time! 🐾 PS: She really is fantastic and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

From the moment we walked in, I could feel the calming atmosphere; it was peaceful, not chaotic like other places I've been to. Jo Ann greeted us with a warm smile and took the time to get to know my dog, asking about his likes and dislikes. It was clear she genuinely cared about his comfort. Before the grooming session, Jo Ann's knowledge of dogs was evident. She knew exactly how to make my dog feel at ease. He typically gets anxious during grooming, but with Jo Ann, he seemed completely relaxed. The end result was fantastic—he looked and smelled great! I also appreciated the way Jo Ann explained what she was doing and offered tips for maintaining my dog's coat at home. It was such a positive experience that I know we'll be returning for all our grooming needs. Jo Ann has been grooming my Rocky (Pomeranian) since we got him in 2021! She also groomed my other Pomeranian Molson who has since passed away in 2019 for many years. I will not take Rocky to anyone else. She’s very knowledgeable and uses mild and natural products.

Essential Dog Grooming offers clients the best service in town. Jo Ann is so patient, kind and knowledgeable. Marshall always comes out smelling great and so handsome. I love Jo Ann's rule about picking your dog up as soon as she is done. I appreciate that we don't have to stress about negative dog meetings. Jo Ann is very quick and the quality of the job is top notch.

My dogs and I have always had the absolute best experiences with Jo! She’s patient, comforting and sweet. Jo preferred to meet and greet my dogs before just getting into it. It made for a nice and easy visit and lead into my dogs being comfortable when getting dropped off and picked up. I am extremely happy with Pat and her staff. My 7 month old puppy was there the first time for 8 days and Pat and her staff worked with her to better socialize her which helped her development tremendously. I love Pat's no BS attitude and that is what makes a great kennel owner. The second time I took my puppy there, just before we went to pick her up, we got evacuated because of a forest fire. At no time did I have to worry about my puppy, I knew she was in good hands. I kept in contact with Pat and her crew, was told of their emergency plan and if it came to it, they would bring my puppy to me, you can not find that kind of professionalism anywhere. Pat and her crew went above and beyond to put our minds at ease during a very stressful time. Thank you Pat and staff from the bottom of our hearts. My experience was superlative. My sister lost her precious boy (cat) in her arms. As for most of us, this is a heartbreaking moment. We were able to find this place relatively close to her. I explained the situation to them. They were polite and helpful, and they listened to every detail. They went above and beyond. They collaborated and, in the end, still blew our minds. They personally sent out a very nice gentleman to come pick up her baby boy. They cremated him. Put him in a beautiful urn of my sisters choice. I asked them if it would be possible to take some of his hair. They said if they could, they would. I was expecting it in a ponytail. Nope, they went beyond. They put his hair in a cute, heart-shaped, transparent container. They also sent her poems. Thank you to ALL of you. You made a painful moment a little easier. As you generally work with dogs, you also take kitties. Our thanks are never ending. 5 out of 5 🌟

Previously I had only heard positive things about this kennel so was very disappointed that my interaction with Pat was so negative. The lack of professionalism was baffling and I deeply regret leaving my dog in her care. My dog is timid with new people but is by no means a poorly behaved dog so it was devastating to hear her call my dog a variety of inappropriate names all within one conversation. Pat then proceeded to say, “bring her back soon” as if I would ever bring my dog here again. Had she handled any concerns with professionalism I would have been receptive and grateful for her feedback but instead she was abrupt and rude leading me to fear what kind of care my dog was receiving while there.

What can be said of this place? Pat is a special kind of human. I loved my interactions with her. I could go on and on but I will be succinct. I trusted this place with my beloved Maiden. So for me, it's a 5/5 any day of the week. I even bought a bag of food and learned a bunch of tips/tricks. If I am ever in that area and in need of daycare or boarding, Anderson's has my money.

The staff is amazing and the place is always very clean!! Been coming for the past 8 years. My dog gets excited when we bring him. By far the best kennel we’ve ever had. Pat does a great job.

Dog Kennel was really dirty, after picking up dogs they definitely needed a bath and stunk really bad, We were quoted a price per night and they stayed 4 nights, we dropped off on Dec 22nd just at closing time and picked up on the 26th right @ opening at 9 AM and were charged for 5 full days. Huge rip off mainly on the principal, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My dog always stunk of pee and he was barely fed or given water. They didn't take him out for walks and he got ring worm from there due to improper cleaning of grooming tools. I don't approve of my dog staying in chain link fence cages. I will never take my dog back there!

I’ve been boarding my dogs for close to 30 years with Falconhurst. You couldn’t ask for a more knowledgeable, dedicated person to leave your pets with. My number one choice!
