Luna is literally the best pet sitter in the valley. She is kind, calm, gentle and reliable. She also clips nails if needed, sleeps at your house, and walks dogs daily. Thank you Luna for caring for our whole pet family over the years. Rabbit, cat, dog, and hedgehog!!
very nice, and respectable, reasonable prices, and reliable. As well as lots of flexibility. When it came to knowledge about dogs she knows pretty much anything about them and helped a lot with diet and training tips.
McKelvey Kennels is awesome! Preston and Chris are incredible with training and take such great care of the dogs. Our puppy gets so excited every time we drop him off, so we know he loves going. He was just there for 5 days of boarded training and the change in how he walks on a leash is amazing. It is now a pleasure to walk with him! I can’t praise Preston enough!
I love this second generation family business! The McKelvey family Has been taking care of our dogs for almost 40 years. Originally Chris, and now her son Preston are consummate professionals. Our dogs are genuinely excited when we drop them off, and reluctant to leave when we pick them up. In addition to boarding, Preston has recently helped us with some obedience training as well. I can’t recommend these guys enough!
McKelvey school of dog training will top leavel. Fantastic service! Our Golden Retriever behaviour was corrected And we could not be happier. Simple, effective techniques and it makes perfect sense. We are amazed with Preston!! He clearly explained to me how and when to correct my Goldie in sertain ways and the results were immediate. Cannot recommend these enough! We are actually looking forward to going forward to our next training session!! Thanks Preston; your the best!!!
We did a zoom training with Chris for our five-month-old puppy. It was like a miracle. As soon as we started implementing her suggestions he turned into a model puppy. I would highly recommend using their services.
Some of the advice this woman offers is decent-- and could potentially create greater discipline in my dog. The fact that she could not address the actual reason that I came to her, was ludicrously expensive, and then had the nerve to claim she had to told me that on the phone-- when I had expressed doubts DURING THAT CONVERSATION and she had insisted that something could be done over time-- so that I would drive an hour and a half each way to see her, was egregious. Along with her constant plugging of products that I didn't need (and she conveniently sold)-- and her suggestion that almost 2 hours of walking my dog a day isn't enough-- really what I got in this encounter was a $200 lesson on how to get my dog not to pull on a leash. I was told everything about my lifestyle with my dog is wrong, without her even asking for specifics on my dog's behavior or what is realistic given our setup. One size fits all approach, and the BONUS that changing all of it cannot improve his chances for safety or an improvement of behavior where it matters most. Chris didn't check that I understood how to do what she was saying. I repeatedly had to correct her on things that she had assumed about my dog. She put my dog in a situation with an unknown dog without asking me if it was okay or even warning me. Still most importantly at the end of the day, her only solution to my dog's behavioral problems was 24 hours a day policing or physical separation-- in other words, something I could have worked out on my own without shelling out a whole day and a couple hundred bucks. Chris is skeptical about "new school positive training" for dogs and maintains opinions that fly in the face of new research--- like tug of war being "practice" for aggression-- when studies have shown that isn't that case. She seems to think that nothing is wrong with making your dog lay in a confined space for hours on end with no stimulation. Honestly, the entire thing felt like a racket with her going through everything I said and saying it is wrong, and then at the end of the day telling me it wouldn't make any difference unless I could commit to keeping my dog locked up. it is so much easier to go through and nit-pick everything someone is doing to make someone feel like they are "getting advice" than it is to actually train a dog to think or behave in a different way. And frankly, although expressing greater dominance over a dog may have value, expressing no affection for and treating your dog like a freaking inanimate object to "establish first position dominance" is not the reason most people have dogs. I will be using the leash technique, something I had already heard but she fine-tuned, and one or two other pieces of advice, but as for an actual way to change his behavior I'm going to have to do a lot more research since she was unable to help me and unwilling to admit that help was possible. Frankly, I left her place discouraged, hopeless, angry, and annoyed at having to back down a 100 yard driveway that is inexplicably bedecked with an obstacle course full of cones. She also tried to charge me $30 for a collar, which I am mailing back to her after realizing it is half as much on amazon.
They did great with my dog Kilo. Watched him for a week while I travel on business and he came back to me in good shape and appeared happy. He had a great time running would there large property. Also helped us with basic shots that needed updating. Great value as well.
A 180 after just one session! Worth every penny. I was doing so many things wrong before meeting with Chris and i wouldve had suuuch a harder time with my dog. It was all unnecessary stress because she completely transformed both of us! Thanks so much Chris, Im truly so grateful.
Daniel was timely, trustworthy, accomodating, and communicative. I highly recommend him if you're going to be on the slopes and brought your pup. Thank you!
We worked with Dan and Erin from Four Paw Concierge and they were both truly fantastic! Dan watched our two dogs while we were in town for our wedding and he made it so incredibly easy. He took our dogs on hikes, long walks, to parks, etc. and was flexible, accommodating and attentive to our dogs the entire time. We didn't worry once because we knew they were in such good hands with him. Erin watched my family's two dogs, one of which is very timid and the other is a senior with special needs and Erin was so helpful and understanding. It is obvious they both have a true passion for animals and what they do. We will definitely be using them every time we are in town!
We cannot say enough good things about Four Paw Concierge. Our sitter was wonderful with our two dogs. One of our dogs is very nervous and the other is a senior who ended up requiring special needs that we were not aware of due to the stress our travel put on him. Erin was understanding and accommodating. We are so grateful to have found Dan and his business and we will definitely be using them again in the future!
Dan did a great job with Zia, our black lab. She loved him! He also did a great job taking care of my Mother in law's cat. Tama. Dan not only fed him & cleaned the litter box, but went the extra mile to brush him, play with him and just sit with him giving him lots of love and pets. He spent hours with Tama. Dan truly cared for our furry family. 😎
Dan has been great with our cats and dogs! He's so kind and caring. They love the attention. I trust Dan and highly recommend him to care for your pets
Amazing, worry free service for our 3 fur babies during our wedding weekend in Snowmass, CO. Dan was reasonably priced and knocked our socks off with his service. You will not regret using him for dog walking, pet sitting, etc. He is amazing!
I am so thankful I found Four Paw Concierge! I have a handicapped pet and Dan could not have been more caring and attentive when I was showing him how to get Max in/out of his doggie wheelchair. He stayed in touch with pictures and notes about how Max was doing which gave me peace of mind. I definitely will use them again!
Dan is super caring and compassionate about the animals in his care! I've loved having this service!
Dan is amazing with animals. Our cats love him!
Dan did such an amazing job watching our Little Luna Bear! You can really tell how much he loves animals and how much the animals love him right back. :)
The facility is just okay, not that clean, but I guess we can’t be too picky as it is a barn. Their layout is each dog has their own private space with fence to separate with other dogs, it’s quite big, but they don’t get to play with each others, so basically just in a big kennel / cage. Which I’m okay with, as I guess they’re safer that way if the place don’t have enough employees to make sure the dogs don’t fight. Just that when your pup is there, don’t expect they’ll get any fun or play times with. My #1 concern and complaints was : when I come to pick I up my pup (around noon), I asked the lady working there if he ate his breakfast, she said she “didn’t know” and said other employees was on duty (Like how do you not have an effective way to keep track of this??). And then we found out he was extremely thirsty and hungry, he ate twice or 3 times his normal amount crazy fast (normally he’s a picky boy and doesn’t eat alot), and drank as if he hasn’t been given any water the past day. He seems restless and frantic and was way too happy to leave. We almost certain that our poor boy was starving and dehydrated the whole time he was there, while employees have no idea if he has eaten or not. Very irresponsible. Not the end of the world, but we won’t come back nor will we recommend it for anyone.
Wonderful facility with fabulous employees. Clean stalls and great quality hay. awesome indoor arena
I was nervous leaving my Riley girl at first, but once i had a phone call with MO, i was at ease! He answered all my questions. Great service & safe place for the pup! Will come back if we are ever this way again! Thank you for taking great care of my baby for daycare.
I'm not gonna lie, we were really nervous about finding a kennel for our puppy who was only 6 months old at the time even though we only needed it for 3 hours. But once we met Moe and saw how great he was with our pup it made our decision so much easier and gave us so much relief. Everyone was SO kind and we absolutely recommend their services to anyone in the glenwood area!
We sent our dog to Skyline Ranch for daycare for two days while we skied. It was a very beautiful and fun place, Moe was very friendly and flexible with our schedule and our dog gave the place her stamp of approval. Highly recommended!
Lots of space for the dogs to run! And the employees are super nice. Our dog always comes back in great shape. We love this place!
Don't let the slightly outdated website, and lack of kennel photos stear you away. I loved this kennel for my two Aussies! MO is so cool and friendly, you can tell he's a true dog whisperer. The kennels are large runs w shelter inside and out, with extremely high fencing, which is perfect for a boarding facility. This design prohibits any unfortunate doggy scruffs or esacapes. MO offered to stay a bit after closing for us as well, in case we needed more time at the theme park. Loved Glenwood Springs, and if we ever make it back, we'll use Skyline again!
We have 18 lb fufu dogs from California who needed to be kenneled for 5 days and our fur babies did very well there. The folks are so wonderful & friendly. We highly recommend it for any size dog! Most of the dogs are 40+ lbs.
Caring and friendly people. Great place to take your dog!
They were very friendly and obviously care a lot about animals. My dog stayed one night and seemed to be happy when I picked him up. Thanks!
