Natalie and Christian were dream pet sitters while we were out of the country for 2.5 weeks. From start to finish, they were reliable and professional, with excellent communication. They had took great care of our dog and chickens and left the house and car in great shape. Plus, they’re just a really sweet young couple. We’d highly recommend them as house sitters.
Hanna did an excellent job sitting Molly, Eddie, Jasper, and Miley. She communicated well, took notes on our initial meet and greet. She went out of her way to help us get the dogs to a kennel when we experienced a family emergency and could not extend her sit due to work commitments. The dogs loved her and the shy kitties came out of greet her mid stay. She left our home immaculate and well cared for. She is truly a winning pet sitter in our eyes! We hope she can come again sometime.
Not only did our pets enjoy meeting Kelly and Christopher, my husband and I enjoyed meeting them as well! They are personable and kind, organized and communicative, and most of all excellent pet sitters. Kelly and Chris are attentive housesitters. They went out of their way to connect with our dogs, especially Smitty, our rescue. The dogs were walked, brushed, and played with throughout the weeklong sit. They sent pics of how our fur babies were doing and truly seemed to enjoy their time with them. The peace of mind that comes with great house sitters who care for your precious pups and the home you love is priceless. Thank you once again, Kelly and Christopher! We hope to see you again!
I enjoyed meeting Samara. Sosha arrived after I left so we only communicated in writing. Samara is a sweet, considerate pet sitter. She brought her cat, who posed no difficulties to my pets. Samara was in good communication with me during her stay. She used my car without incident. My home was left much cleaner than upon her arrival. Samara proved to be an honest and responsible pet sitter and I would open my home to her at any time in the future.
Angie and her husband Joe were a great fit for our house and pet sitting needs! They kept in communication with us before our vacation started, and were able to arrive a little early so we could walk them through how various systems worked and where controls were located. Our dog bonded with Angie very quickly and I think he was hoping she would stay after we returned home :) We got regular updates and pet photos while we were traveling. Although we were out of cell phone range for several days, we never had a doubt that things at home would be just fine while they were there! They were also very flexible and understanding. Due to our flight schedule we arrived home in the middle of the night. Angie was able to feed and walk our dog, clean up and leave in the morning without waking us up! The house was left clean, the garden was thriving and our pup was happy. We are happy, and would be happy to have them back again as sitters anytime.
Ce was an amazing house sitter for our best bud Atlas. She not only took amazing care of our needy pup, she took great care of the home as well. I honestly think she left it cleaner than I left it for her! We certainly hope she is around the next time our best friend needs a friend. If you're looking for a responsible caregiver for your pets and home - look no further!
Megan and her partner were INCREDIBLE pet & house sitters during my 5 days away last month. I received consistent communication in the form of updates & photos and I had the true sense that Megan was invested in the wellbeing of my animals and truly enjoyed being with them! My house was CLEANER than I left it (immaculate!) and she left a sweet card thanking us upon our return. Truly the best sitting experience I've had thus far, thank YOU so much!
Elaine was a welcomed sitter for Cyrus and Purrelli. I returned from holiday to find a very content relaxed dog and a happy fat cat. Purrelli doesn’t eat when he is stressed so seeing a little meat on him let me know he was content and happy :) My condo was left clean and in order, all communications were smooth and there was zero issues. Thx for the great pet care Elaine.
Angela and Joe are wonderful house and pet sitters sitters in every way. They have a great loving way with animals and my shy dog warmed up to them right away. They are warm, organized, confident, and thorough. They communicated very well and gave me frequent updates and sweet photos of my dog Chica. They also took excellent care of my home. My only regret was that I didn't get to spend more time with them, because they're such lovely and interesting people. I give Angela and Joe my highest recommendation and feel that anyone would be very lucky to have them their sitters! I hope that they return to sit here again.
Jerry and Suzanne were absolutely ideal sitters for our home and pets. We spoke with them ahead of their visit and could tell that they are genuine pet and travel lovers. Over their stay we got to see even more that they are wonderfully friendly, kind, and responsible - plus they kept us laughing with their updates and descriptions of our pets' antics while we were away. Our pets and plants were well loved and our house was spotless upon our return home, and they were even kind enough to leave a few goodies in the fridge. Our dog in particular seemed to miss them and their long walks around the neighborhood. Thank you Jerry and Suzanne! We wish you well in your travels!

I highly recommend Kelly. She lovingly cares for our pets and faithfully takes our dog on her walks. You can trust her.
We’ve taken our Pomeranian to Gina at Four Paws for nearly 2 years since he was a puppy. We’re always happy with his specialty “teddy bear” cut. We’ve recommended Giur Paws to several friends.
We just love Bernadette in the Grooming area. She is so thoughtful and so good with our 2 dogs. She always goes above and beyond to help them. She is such a Great person... Joyce & Dave Sunderman
Dear 4 Paws Team, I just wanted to say how much we love bringing our dog to 4 Paws! Everyone is super friendly and it’s clear that you all love your job. Our dog comes home exhausted from playing all day, which is fantastic. The location is great, and the facility with its open field is wonderful. Thank you for taking care of our furry friends Best regards,
We absolutely love 4Paws Pet Ranch! We return for Joe’s hair cut every 3 months or so. They are great with the dogs and excellent stylists. I highly recommend them to everyone who loves their dog and wants them to look their best! They also have fantastic boarding services if you need to leave your baby behind for a few days!
Our super-energetic pup lives for Four Paws! We take him most work days and are incredibly thankful for the care and exercise he receives there. Without this outlet, I’m not sure we could have survived him and he might not have developed into the cool dog he is now…he’s awesome, but still a handful! Great staff loves him, and that makes us all happy!
I’ve been using Four Paws for over 25 years and I’ve always enjoyed their friendliness and kindness, and I know that they take care of my dogs
I took my cat, Trout, here. They made it as pleasant as such an experience can be. I expected Trout to be traumatized, but when I let her out in the car - aside from loving on me for the first five minutes and then going back into her travel bag and growling at me for leaving her for a hot second - she was all cuddles immediately after. She made friends with the staff, they are all excited to see her come back. The hardest part was signing the standard release form. But it worked for boarding in a pinch. Trout wasn't traumatized at all. <3 Bring your paperwork!
Four Paws Pet Ranch is a wonderful place. Dragon loves his daycare with his doggy pals. Boarding is very good. I've only been a client for a year, but I have friends who've taken their dogs for many years. Highly recommend.
This is where I got my PJ from. When I met him, he was totally wild . He would not let you approach him or pet him. He would not go anywhere on a leash. Amanda, who worked there at the time was very helpful in making the transition. He is now the cutest, sweetest most wonderful little dog I’ve ever had.
I’m not sure what all goes on at Four Paws Pet Ranch when I board my dogs but they get SO excited when we arrive! They start talking and can’t sit still. I literally never hear them talk any other time! Four Paws Pet Ranch has always been so great to my dog reactive rescue mix. He was unable to be boarded with other dogs and could even climb chain link fences, so they had a specific kennel they could keep him in. My family lives in GA and sometimes I have had to travel back and visit. I once got sick and had to extend my stay an extra 10 days….They took care of both my pups and helped put one part of an otherwise awful trip at ease. These people are the best! Can’t recommend them enough!
fun place
I recently had my dog Bailey at Starr Pet Resort while I was on an extended 17 days vacation. She had never been in a kennel before and suffers from anxiety. Jim and Sandy are amazing! They took such good care of Bailey. They don’t just cover the basics when caring for your pet, they go to great lengths to understand your pet so your pet will have the best possible experience. Thank you so much Jim for making Bailey feel a part of your family! Rodney
Board at Your Own Risk. No Liabilities, No Insurance and the Owner May Have You Arrested. On June 17, 2017, the next to last day of boarding my Belgian Malinois puppy, Starr Pet Resort left a message on a phone number that I specifically had told them not to use informing me that my dog’s leg had been injured. I was able to retrieve the message and come back a day early to pick my dog up at the hospital where she had been left. I was told that depending on treatment, the bill would be between $2,000 and $4,000. Jim Brock, owner of Starr Pet Resort, initially refused to pay any portion of the bill saying it was just an accident, although he had only given vague, conflicting explanations as to what happened. He also threatened both my girlfriend and I that this was a criminal matter and he was reporting it to the sheriff to have me arrested if I did not pay for his week of boarding immediately by providing him with my credit card information. He also refused to release my dog’s collar, tags and leash left at Starr Pet Resort. Jim had presented me with a contract for signature when I dropped of my dog on June 9, 2017. He stated that it was an “authorization to get medical care if needed”. In reality it was a liability waiver which states that Starr Pet Resort is not liable for anything that happens to your pet, and if they are found liable, it is only for a maximum of $500, or the value of the pet, whichever is LESS. None of these waivers are mentioned on the company’s website, nor was I advised of them prior to drop off even though I had visited the kennel in person and made a reservation over a month before boarding. I made at least five written requests for information regarding the injury. These requests included video records as they advertise they have 24 hour surveillance, a written statement from the person with my dog when the injury occurred and the name of their insurance provider. These requests were all ignored. I did receive an offer for a maximum of $2,000 from Starr Pet Resort on June 20, 2017. The offer may, or may not have covered my dog’s medical bills, but I did not know as it was very early in her treatment. The offer included a condition that I never say anything that they considered false or defamatory or pay damages in the amount of $5,000 for each violation. They broke my dog’s leg and then threatened to have me arrested. I could not agree to these terms. Despite several written requests, I never heard from Starr Pet Resorts after June 20, 2017, until I saw them in Small Claims’ Court on September 11, 2017. The only additional evidence they brought was a note from the girl who was playing with my dog when the supposed accident occurred. It was dated almost three months after the incident even though I had requested this back in June. It also turns out that their insurance does not cover pets. They are a kennel. What does their insurance cover?
These folks kept my best friend safe, active and happy during a two week business trip. The kennel facility is exceptionally clean. A pleasant surprise was the fact that it is climate controlled. Most importantly though; Jim and Sandy are dog people. They very clearly care about their guests and take care of their guests. Strongly recommended Update six months later: Sudden business trip abroad for four weeks: Same great facility. Same great service. Same great people.
We have been staying with Starr Pet for 2+ years and we love them so much! My Frenchie Ernestine loves it from the moment she arrives to see Uncle Jim and Sandi to her private nature walks (an optional add on she loves). The team is very attentive to Ernie, great at communicating updates and sharing pics. They are very professional, organized and treat Ernestine like family. I highly recommend Starr Pet and their amazing family/team. Thanks for taking such great care of Ernestine.
We left our 2 fur babies here when we went out of state for a graduation. They were there roughly 6 days and they had a blast! I got photos texted to me daily and some cool videos. It was comforting knowing our babies were so well taken care of. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking to board your four legged kids. Thank you Starr Pet Resort!
Our cat loves staying at Starr Pet Resort when we are away from home. Jim and Sandy take very good care of her when she stays with them. Her room at the pet resort is always clean and comfortable. The whole cat area of the resort is immaculate and the pet owners are welcome to come in and see where their pet is staying as well as see the entire cat area. Both Jim and Sandy are well aware of each animal's condition throughout their stay and monitor each pet often. They treat each pet as an individual and get to know their personalities. We recommend Starr Pet Resort for pet owners whenever their pet needs to stay away from home. We feel confident that any issues that arise during our absence will be addressed and our pet will be safe and well taken care of.
I have a rescue dog who is anxious around new people and other animals. He was nervous at drop off, but in such high spirits after leaving Starr pet resort. They made him comfortable and he had a good time. Very reasonable price, and I really appreciated the one on one attention he received. Thank you Sandi & Jim
Our two English Bulldogs Love coming to Starr Pet Resort its always a treat for them. We started bringing both of our bulldogs when they were small puppies and they visit now on a monthly basis. El Guapo our largest Bulldog 3 years cannot wait to get out of the car to stay at the resort and now our newest addition bulldog puppy 6 months also loves coming to the resort. The facility is extremely clean and welcoming. Jim, Sandy and the staff are great and we wouldn't take our two Bulldog family members anywhere else, Thanks Starr Pet Resort!
We regularly take our two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels to the Starr Pet Resort. They love going there and are always happy to see the resort owners on arrival. The owners, Jim and Sandi, know the dogs by name, greet them warmly and take very good care of them. We recommend Starr Pet Resort very highly. Cheryl and John
Starr was wonderful with our dog Penny. We dropped her off with them for the first time we'd left overnight, and it was completely seamless. They sent over few photos during her stay to make sure we knew she was having a great time. We had a great experience; we'll be bringing Penny back to Starr in a couple weeks
I met Marina several years ago and she took care of our dog, Milo with the best care we could ask for. She stayed in our home for vacations and did day visits at other times. We lost our Milo last year and since I miss seeing Marina. She is a gem!
Marina is the best! She is so very kind, thoughtful, organized and has an excellent communication style. Our little dog is in heaven when he stays with Marina. He is treated like royalty!
Our little pooch Eddie has totally loved his times with Marina and family when we've had to be away. And wherever we were, we got sent regular photos and videos of Eddie with his canine pals playing together and living the good life! Comfort and care supreme for Eddie, and the SAME for us! Five stars isn't enough!
We met Marina when our puppy was just about ten weeks old. She's helped us over the years in several ways: coming by for an hour, watching the dogs all day, or even house sitting. Marina is very reliable and trustworthy. She sends pictures several times a day. Our doggy loves her and is always excited to see her. We have friends we'd referred Marina to, who are just as happy wth her as we are. We recommend Marina without any reservation.
Marina is the best pet and home sitter we have ever encountered. She is kind, reliable, honest - I could go on and on. Marina truly cares about animals. Everything she says and does makes that clear from the start. She sat for our very active young lab and and he adores her. Marina is always our first choice for pet and home sitting.
I have used Marina's services several times. She is awesome! I have 3 dogs two are seniors and one is special needs. They all love her. She goes above and beyond for her clients. I feel very comfortable with her in my home. She was in constant communication with me sending many pictures. I was confident my pets were in the best hands. I highly recommend her.
Marina is an absolute dream pet sitter. You can tell she really loves animals and my dogs picked up on that the moment they met her. She is clean, conscientious, communicative, and responsible, and just a lovely human. I trust her 100% with my precious fur babies!
Marina is a treasure! She is absolutely reliable. She is someone whom you can count on to make the same decisions you would if she can’t in touch with you. She has an almost magical connection to animals including our skittish cats and our bouncy German Shepherd. She is someone whom you can trust.
Our dog loves being in Marina’s care! And we love how generously Marina takes care of our big 75-pound baby. You couldn’t ask for more from this pet caregiver. You and your pet will be lucky to connect with her.
I hired Marina to stay with my dog for three days and two nights while I was out of town, and when I came home I could tell my little girl Roweena was disappointed to see me and wished that Marina would stay on indefinitely. Lol,… no seriously, I really cannot say enough good about Marina. Your pet could not be placed in better, more loving hands.
Affinity Pet Services have been very reliable & caring with our pets when we go on vacation. I love the updates and photos they are thoughtful enough to send so we feel less guilty about leaving home. We come home to a house of content dogs, cats & chickens that are calm and obviously not anxious about the changes. They are well taken care of & happy to get to stay in our home instead of kennels. I recommend Affinity often to friends, and am grateful to have them in our lives the last 5 years!
Our pup loves playgroup! She waits excitedly at the window on playgroup days for pickup, dances when she hears Charlotte pull up, and comes home tired and happy. We also have hired Affinity for pack walks, and to check on our pup in the middle of the day when we have had to work longer hours. Affinity has proven to be trustworthy, caring and very knowledgeable about dog care. We highly recommend!
Can’t give them 10 stars but they are top notch! Charlotte and her company are the best. Dogs always picked up promptly, exercised their little hearts out, returned clean and tired. I often am not home when she drops off, she is respectful, always house is locked back up. My dogs love seeing her cause Affinity equals fun!
Besides being incredibly professional. This is the highest recommendation for Affinity(and Charlotte) I can give. When we come home are cats don’t hide or ignore us(because they are mad)…they are happy to see us, relaxed and carry on as if we had never left. That is because of the great care & love they received from The Affinity team while we were away.
We've got 3 dogs and have been using Affinity for weekly visits and overnight stays when we are out of town for the last year and a half. They are reliable, trustworthy, and provide an abundance of love for our critters. They send us pictures while we're away so we know all is well. We couldn't be happier with the service they provide and highly recommend them.
Fabulous, pet lovers & care givers. They provide supportive care when I have a long stretch away from home. I highly recommend them.
If you neef care for your animals, maybe just a stop in to visit while away for an extended time. Awesome, super efficient booking system. Really nice, caring & diligent carers. Will use them again. Thank you.
I love our Affinity Auntie Gail. Incredibly attentive, and loves my two dogs.
Good people providing great services. I highly recommend!
Great service!
They took great care of my zoo while I was out of town. My dog & cat loved them and it was a great relief to not have to worry about them during my trip. We had some miscommunication about dates (probably my fault!) and they immediately responded and visited twice more than they had planned. Even left me a very nice welcome home flower and card. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.
Our fur baby has been going to Balanced Behavior since the middle of 2021. She goes sometimes for doggy day care to burn off some energy or to just have some doggy companionship. We have also boarded her there for a few days and nights at a time when we werent able to take her on trips with us. We also went to in person one on one training there with Caity and she helped us understand how to communicate with Mala on what we would like from her and some manners. They keep her cool in the summer and pay great attention to her if she seems to be getting over stimulated or sore from play. She had one minor scuffle with a dog there and we were instantly called to let us know what had happened and to assure that she was fine and to keep us in the loop with everything. The owner is on site a huge majority of the time and she is also the one that trained Mala and us there on her property. The staff is kind and attentive and friendly and that goes a very long way with me. We had been a devoted fan of another local kennel before Balanced but the new staff always seemed annoyed, hardly smiled and the last straw was when we picked up our dog from a 4 day and night stay and our dog was clearly in pain and was sent home with us with a painful sprained tail. No one mentioned anything to us but it was obvious she was in pain as soon as we got home. Anyways our doggy loves Balanced and we are pretty fond of them too. 🐕🐕🐶🐶🐾🐾🐾
We absolutely love Balanced Behavior and everyone who works there. They're very kind and helpful. Our dogs regularly go to weekly daycare and we also board them there when we're out of town. Even our dog who is shy around other people loves the people there and is so excited to see them. 5 stars +++
Shane and Caity have built a wonderful facility. We’ve been taking our 2 dogs there every Friday for 5 years now and couldn’t be happier. Our dogs are a little wild and the staff is so good about keeping them calm at drop off. Super clean, new facilities are very welcoming. Also love how the play yard is in plain sight (some places feel like they’re hidden behind closed doors). We’ll keep going as long as they’ll have us!
This kennel is behind the owners home, on a decent sized property. It’s gated and very clean. There is a big yard which is the main play yard, then side yard, 16 private runs for dogs who are being boarded along with a private doggie door inside their kennel/bed area so they can go out and run. The boarding area is temperature controlled. The main yard area is monitored by two of the girls at all times, they watch the dogs and interact with them. The prices are reasonable. For me it’s close to my house so I like that for conscience. The owner is certified dog trainer and is very nice. I took my dog today for a meet and greet and then left him in daycare for half the day. They were very thorough with me and explained how he was, gave recommendations and went through everything with me. Some of the things they said and recommended are going to be super helpful and I’ve tried working on him with these behaviors, I have heard great things about the owner and her training abilities so I’m hopeful she can help. I’m defiantly going back. My dog is pooped after a few hours there. 🤩🙌🏼
People really take great care of your dog. Very professional. Facility is first class. Trainers are highly rated. Best dog facility in Sonoma County.
Catie is the best trainer we have ever worked with. The facility is amazing. She has helped us with both of our German Shepherds. In just two sessions we have seen great results. I will be able to walk both of these powerful beasts together soon. I just can't say enough good things about her. Check it out if you need help. 😃 …
We've had our dog doing day-care once to twice per week since she was about 6 months old. She absolutely loves it. We've also had her stay the night a few times. It has made her so social around other dogs. The staff is amazing and the facilities are super nice.
I cannot reccomend this place at all. A good place for your dog to learn bad behavior. They do not have enough people outside watching the dogs.My pup had several bad experiences and I will not be back. The owner lacks compassion and training herself. The place is set up so that all the little dogs have to be surrounded by the large dogs playing, barking. play fighting, etc. My dog got sick 3 times and they didn't call me, she could not settle and was dominant?, and they did not tell me. Don't take a dog under 50 pounds to this kennel. There was one young lady that worked their that truly knew dog behavior. She was great I wish I could remember her name.
We love it here. Our boxer Phyllis loves all the care takers and the dogs. We have had her in the daycare during the day and the boarding. All is amazing.
Caity is amazing!! If you want somewhere safe and secure for your pup's, give her a call! She is great with training animals and truley has found her passion! 💖 …
