Great place for Grooming & Boarding. Our dog was taken care of as he should have been & maybe gets a little more spoiled when he goes for his grooming's! I had multiple places tell me that they couldn't groom our Alaskan Malamute because of his size & massive triple coat! Gold star does an amazing job with him!!

The staff is professional, and they work with you. Anna, is the groomer I deal with and does a great job. I highly recommend her. My dog is a wigglely worm, but Anna was able to handle him and give him a cut. My customer experience with Gold Star has been great. Thank you for taking good care of my pup.

Natasha is great. I have a baby that’s a very finicky and very aggressive at times but she always finds a way to get it done thank you Natasha you’re wonderful.

We had the somewhat of the same issue, rude staff. Actually it was the owner. It was a very unpleasant first time experience. We were not aware they had a break in their hours on Sunday's. We were traveling back and wanted to pick up our fur baby. Evidentally they were closed and did not open for another 30 minutes this was prior to our approach to the owner outside - we overheard her say jesus christ, read the sign.. unreal a business can thrive/opperate in this manner. Our dog also came home with fleas. She has never in her life had fleas. Use caution when boarding your pet here or conversing with staff. They need a sign "may bite or beware of owners"

Rude staff. I used the grooming services for years. They lost their experienced groomer and the quality of the cuts went way down. The main woman at the front desk is routinely rude to customers. I would find a place that truly appreciates their customers. Response to reply: yes, I have not been back due to the treatment I received. I’m very happy with the groomer I’m going to now. How you treat customers matters. I have no interest in discussing what happened. Actions have consequences and in this case it cost you a customer. I hope you and your staff will do better in the future.

Absolutely the most loving second home for fur babies! Love the building and play areas! Love the staff! Very safe and clean. Air ventilation makes all the difference for the fur babies!! Highly recommend!

At Gold Star, Benson enjoyed many good times at the daycare where he had many friends and learned good behaviour. Ellie groomed him beautifully. When boarded, my husband and I had piece of mind knowing he was in a clean environment and well taken care of. We unexpectedly had to board our dogs. We found Gold Star, and fortunately, they had space. It's always a little scary to just drop off your pet babies someplace, but we read other people's reviews, and frankly, we were in a bind, so we decided to chance it. The place was very clean, the people were very friendly, and the dogs were very healthy when we picked them up. I should also mention that the price for the 3 of them was good. All in all, we are extremely happy with them, and they are definitely now on our list of places we can send our babies. FYI, we are very picky. Our list only has 2 names on it!

We love Heartwood! We were so worried about leaving our fur baby because he’s been so nervous and attached to us since we rescued him. Jeff and Ty are amazing! You can tell they truly love and care about all the dogs they care for! Wilma is so prompt and helpful whenever I text with questions or concerns. They even take the time to take pics and videos throughout the day! They’re truly the best!! Cody loves his time with them!

Wilma and her family are very attentive to your precious animals put under their charge. The utmost care is taken and love is abundantly given to your fur baby. They treat them like their own. The animals always get excited to see them when they get to their home away from home doggie daycare. You won't go wrong bringing your baby here

They took the time and used the right techniques to make sure my little pitbull felt safe. She is prone to jump fences when she is scared or distracted and they helped her with that. 10/10 would use them again.

My dog loved going to Heartwood and I felt that they really cared for him. Unfortunately, he got his second respiratory illness in six months from there. The vet and I felt that cleaning and screening for sick dogs might be lacking, and then I contacted the owner to inform her of the illness. Her response is that they NO LONGER REQUIRE ANY VACCINES because they "can get sick anyway." This is so incredibly irresponsible and distressing to hear. I would NEVER have taken my dog there if I was aware of this stance - the website still says vaccines are required. Very disappointed.

I am blown away with my experience with heartwood doggie daycare! The staff is amazing and it is clear they care about every single dog they meet. I got updated with pictures and videos and never once had to stress when I was out of town. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my pup!!

Simply awesome! Jeff is awesome; your furry friend couldn't be in better hands. Fresh country air and they feed them the food that you bring instead of some garbage dog food provided by most places. Safe, reasonably priced, what more could you ask for?

This is by FAR the best doggie daycare I have ever taken my pups to. Jeff and Wilma are so kind and caring. They treated my dogs as if they were there own. I am so impressed. It’s worth the 35 minute drive for me! Thank you for the peace of mind and wonderful service to my little babies!

Wilma and Jeff are amazing. They treat my dogs like they do there own. It's just a wonderful place to board your animals. My little chihuahua can be a bit temperamental so I was really worried about leaving him there. Wilma texted me the next day with a picture of her holding Romeo in her own home. I relaxed and just love her kind heart!

Unfortunately staff left all of the dogs unattended together and a family dog was attacked and killed while in their care. They have said that changes are made to not allow it to happen again, but it didn't happen before this either. People should be aware that this did happen before deciding to leave their pets here.

Extremely professional, courteous, and friendly service. The facility itself is amazing in design, presentation, and cleanliness. Their compassion in the recent death of one of our dogs, as well as another several years ago, exceeded any expectation. I would absolutely recommend Karnik On Black to anyone with canine family members.

We have a 17 month old pup who absolutely LOVES it there! He loves daycare and he will jump up and wag his tail, pace, beg, bark to get to the car if we even say the word daycare 😂. He also gets grooming done there! Our pup Benny runs to get into the doors which you know that is a good sign! It is hard to find a place you trust and they have proven to be amazing!

Today was our first vist for grooming. First, they accommodated us even though I had messed up our appointment day. They did a great job grooming our flat coat golden doodle. He was so excited to show himself off to us at pick-up. He was very relaxed when we got home, he ate his dinner and slept the rest of the evening. We can't wait to see them again in January.

I was having problems scheduling (months out) & communication issues with my groomer in Perrysburg. I was familiar with Karnik but hadn’t been there for grooming. Their google ad stressed ease of booking which is why I tried them. I got my 2 goldens in within the same week. I scheduled premium grooming. I have an upcoming med. issue & wanted them cut very short, i.e. not typical for breed for low maintenance. The groomer came out & talked with me & understood what I was looking for immediately. When I picked them up they looked perfect & smelled like baby powder! Karnik did a great job & I will return for all their future needs.

Sadly, on June 15, 2024 we had to use Karnik's Pet Loss Service for the cremation of our Sweet Montana. The staff was respectful and compassionate through the entire process. One empathetic lady even went above and beyond and made ink prints of Montana's nose/cheeks/whiskers/chin and his paw. We were brought to tears by her thoughtfulness. We had them framed and they are part of his indoor memorial. Montana's litter mate, his brother Chubby, is still with us and when it's his time, we will not hesitate to reach out to Karnik again. Thank you Karnik for making an unbearable moment a little bit better.

Chief and Blake love coming to day care and seeing all of their dog friends and human friends! We know that they are safe and taken care of when at day care and we love the staff and appreciate their hard work to keep our boys happy and safe!

Karnik always take great care of all three of my dogs. I will definitely continue to board with them.

We have boarded our puppy, Chip, overnight several times and have been very pleased with the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the whole place. He loves to go back, so I think that says something in itself. Had him groomed there for the first time today and he looks so adorable! He was way overdue for a haircut, so I thought he might come back shaved, but he did not.” And I love the organic homemade treats that they have available too. He always gets one as a reward for being a good boy!

Our three-year-old French Bulldog was severely injured in Doggy Daycare at Karnik on Black on November 15, 2023. Another dog ripped our dog's left eye out. He underwent two emergency procedures and two weeks of aggressive medical management, but we were ultimately unable to save his eye. The offending dog was not removed from daycare. Karnik didn't even reach out to inquire about our dog's condition until 10 days after the incident. Our family was traumatized and our Frenchie was left permanently disfigured.

I have my horses cremation scheduled and any questions I've had throughout the scheduling process have been answered quickly and effectively! I would recommend karnik to any of my horse people out there. Reasonably priced as well!

I highly recommend A Walk in the Park. It's a terrific place to bring your dog! Their approach to enrichment daycare and social sleeping is unlike anything I've experienced. It's the first time I realized that most other boarding facilities leave their dogs unsupervised all night. How scary is that! Dirk and his staff are amazing with the dogs. And they know what they are doing when it comes to group and individualized training, and they make it fun. Check it out--it's an experience you won't find anywhere else!

This place treats dogs so well. They train them and love them like their own and my dog always comes home happily depleted. They offer a lot of great services too. Good people are here.

What an awesome place for your dog to spend the day!! Reasonably priced, excellent grooming, doggy daycare with a bubble machine & overnight lodging with social sleeping, how awesome! Give your doggy a deserved spa day!

My dogs love this place. They stayed for a weekend and came home very happy. I think Dirk is the dog whisper. The staff is great. Went for grooming also, like that they towel dry them and then air dry. I am writing a year later after bringing our new rescue Gertie for a puppy makeover. As always AWITP has been wonderful in making our new family member feel welcome and safe. Our other two love going for times they can not be with us and they are never stressed while being there. I only wish I could bring them more often for day care, they are happy pups. And that makes us happy. Wouldn’t go anywhere else with them.l

Dirk is helping us understand diamond better and helping us to help her feel more confident and not scared. His training is a game changer. Only uses positive reinforcement. We’ve can noticed a big difference.

This is our 6th year coming to AWITP. Riley is now 9 and she still gets excited every time we pull in to the parking lot. The Little Pack is one of a kind. A group of only little dogs with their own special play yard outside and their own special play room inside! Great place for both big and little dogs!!! Dirk and his staff are truly amazing. Dirk is extremely knowledgeable about dog behaviors and he makes sure his staff is well trained and educated. Riley loves her time at daycare - she is always happy going in and just as happy at the end of the day. The kennel free environment is awesome and the dogs are never left alone overnight! Riley also gets groomed at the “ranch”- she does a great job and his gentle with the dogs. Dirk also offers free services like group dog walks - he is always willing to help others with any dog issues they may have. AWITP is the best!

Amazing!! This place is a bit pricey compared to other doggy daycares but they are SO worth it!! You really get what you pay for here! My pup is always so happy when we pull in to drop her off and she absolutely loves the staff! She’s not super friendly with just anyone so that says a lot. I love that there aren’t too many dogs here at once because it allows each one to get some good loving and attention. The enrichment option is awesome. I always choose that one when it’s available. With enrichment, my dog doesn’t just come home tired. She is genuinely so happy as well. And not just happy to see me, but happy that all of her needs were fulfilled!!

The best doggy daycare! Dirk and his staff are phenomenal! Zoey gets so excited to go to “school” every Wednesday! I highly recommend “A walk in the park”!

The team at A Walk in the Park Dog Care is knowledgeable and caring. Our pup loves going there, is more calm after consistently going, and comes home tired and happy. I recommend AWITP to all of my dog loving friends!

Hands down, the best doggy day care in town! They take such great care of our pups and they are always smiling and excited when they are there. The enrichment program is also fantastic and keeps the dogs actively engaged while they are there. Also, the staff, they are soooo good with the pups. I never worry when I leave my fur babies with them.

10/10. They are amazing! My dog loves it there. The daycare is the best around. Everything about it is so convenient, especially not having to book ahead. He is always so tired after a big day of playing. The staff is so kind and good to us and our dog. They will bathe him if we ask and he comes home smelling and looking amazing. We have boarding him here multiple times and have had great experiences. My favorite part is that I have not had ANY issues with sickness with my dog after coming to the facility like I have had at other nearby locations (kennel cough multiple times elsewhere). I would highly recommend!

My 10 month old puppy spent her first 3 week vacation at Wolfgang's. I was so worried about her but Elaine sent pictures and videos of her playing with all of her new friends. The staff here is amazing! I will definitely use them again. Such a great experience for dog and owner.

Extremely pleased with Woofgang, and their entire staff. We use them for daycare, to get our dog some socialization and playtime twice a week or so. She is currently 9 months old, and has been going for about 5 months. We went to them based on a recommendation of a close friend, and could not be happier with the service. All the staff are great - very friendly, and always know what is going on with our dog. At this young age, she is obviously more playful than most and they are very proactive about making sure she can play with similar dogs and energy levels. Anytime we need anything, or have any concerns, they are extremely responsive. I cannot recommend highly enough.

I am the type of person to have a lot of questions before I can feel comfortable placing my pups in dog day care and I spoke with an absolutely lovely young lady named Maddie and she alleviated any concerns I had. She was so patient, kind and understanding of my concerns in our interaction and I would 100% feel at ease with my dogs in her care. I highly recommend this establishment! I had a few follow up questions later and I spoke with Payton, she was so much fun to talk to that I can only imagine how much fun the pups have that are in her care. These girls are absolute gems!

I couldn't ask for a better owner and staff. My dog is always so excited to go there. I have boarded my dogs as week. You can leave there happy and relaxed your dogs will be well taken care of. Sometimes I think my dog wants to live there, instead of with me. I promise you won't be disappointed.

We love WoofGang! Our pups come back so tired from playing. When we go on vacation, we check out WoofGang FB page, as we know we will see pictures of our pups playing on there.

Thank you again to Elaine and her wonderful staff at Wolfgang. We recently lost our beloved lab to cancer. So we decided our beagle who had been very subdued since losing his best friend needed to spend sometime at Wolfgang. Sometimes the right dog just happens to come along. For us it did in the form of an adorable girl, named Sally. She was just the right dog at the right time. Many thanks to the caring staff especially Kim, her foster and Lauren. I hope her family knows she is loved and happy as is her best friend, Kermi, our beagle.

I love this place. Elaine and her staff have been amazing with my dog. Contrary to what some reviews say, they do not leave dogs outside hours at a time. Dogs are rotated inside and outside so they can get fresh air and go potty. Elaine sends me photos of my dog playing. He loves everyone there. I have referred at least 5 friends to Woofgang and they have all appreciated what great care they take of the dogs.

Wolfgang is a great place for our milo. The caretakers give all the pets personal attention. It is always kept very clean and looking nice. The outside play area is very big so they can run and play and not be crowded. The sleeping quarters are very private so they can get some sleep after a fun day. Thanks Woofgang.

Woofgang is sooo amazing! I miss being able to take my dog, Scout here and haven't found anything comparable where we moved. The staff is so personable and they really take the time to get to know each owner and dog. I felt comfortable talking with the employees about how my dog's day was and I knew they took the time to check in with her and take note on how she was. They treat all owners and dog's like family!

Let me Just say how wonderful Nikki and the Staff at Pocos is. From the time you walk in the door they Meet and Greet you with a warm smile. We have taken our dogs here for over 5yrs. Never had a single issue. They ensure the dogs are all up to date on vaccines and not sick. I have taken to other boarding places and they always ended up with kennel cough. If you want your pups to enjoy their time and not locked up in cages all day take them to Poco’s they have never disappointed. Life Long Poco clients here!!! Thank you Nikki and Team!!!!!

I do not recommend Poco's Playhouse. The last 2 times my dog was there, at pickup there were no employees back there with the dogs, they were sitting behind the desk chatting. My dog GOT HURT there 2 seprate times, the most recent one requiring a VET VISIT, antibiotics, and pain medicine for my pup. I reached out to the owner the first time asking about his cut paw, asking why I was not notified- she started saying that paws can blister from running on different surfaces, but this was a cut not blisters (which he had already had previously), the response was unnecessarily defensive, and later very hostile in public responses, and lied about things that were said in our conversation. The 2nd time he was hurt, I was again not notified and immediately could tell something was wrong with my dog. He had a deep cut on his paw, and his nail was ripped up from the nail bed. The time I reached out she said they don't always know when dogs are injured because the dogs don't act differently until they get home, but I believe in these two incidents it was because they weren't watching him, as I noticed he was hurt right away both times.

Pocos is the best. Over the last 12 years we have brought our dogs for day care. They have all loved it. Staff is excellent

The mere mention of Poco's puts both our 'kids' into an excited frenzy, racing each other to the door and reminding me, very loudly, that we have somewhere important to be...now! Needless to say they both love it here, and I do, too! Nikki and her Staff are true dog lovers and they treat our Maybelle and Gemma as their own. We are so grateful for the care that they provide, whether for day-play or overnight accommodations. Highly recommended!!

My pups have been part of the Poco’s family for about 5 years now. We started going to Poco’s in Perrysburg and I was delighted when they opened the Poco’s Playhouse South in Bowling Green since it was closer to home. My dogs love the staff at Poco’s and they are always so well exercised and so content after their days there. I travel a lot for work and have never hesitated about boarding my pups at Poco’s. I love that they are not separated into kennels or cages for the duration of my trips but rather they get to share a bedroom together at night and then romp in the daycare all day with their friends. They’re always content and never stressed when I get home. They always perk right up when I ask them if they want to go to “school”. I recommend Poco’s to all of my family and friends because they genuinely love my dogs like their own and they provide a wonderful environment to help my dogs become more socialized, well-mannered, happy dogs.

Nikki and her staff are wonderful!! Winter, our shelty female dog, is always happy to spend time at Poco's Playhouse!! I highly recommend this boarding place!! :-)

My dog Violet has been going to Poco's for about two weeks now and she loves it! The staff are excellent and help to reinforce the training I am doing. We don't have another dog at home, so the time Violet spends at Poco's is vital for her pack socialization. I also appreciate that the staff "love" pit bulls and know how to work with all their energy and personality. I am delighted that I have found such a good place to bring my dog.

Poco's Playhouse is absolutely wonderful! I have a severely abused retriever and he takes quite some time to warm up to people. The staff were so understanding and worked with him so well. Sully now runs into daycare eager to greet the staff and have a great day of fun. I can't say enough about how wonderful the facility and the staff are. They get to know you and your dog personally and I know my pup is in good hands at all times. Thank you Poco's for everything you've done for us! You've helped Sully come out of his shell and I wouldn't trust him with anyone else!

We LOVE Poco’s! We began bringing our dog to Poco’s as a puppy. The staff has assisted with his behaviors as he learned how to be a properly social dog. They have given us suggestions/tips and have been an extension of the training we work on at home. The staff has treated him like he was one of their own. I cannot say enough good things about Poco’s staff! They genuinely care for each dog that walks through the door and I always feel safe and secure leaving our “child” at Poco’s. Our dog has very high play energy and the staff does an excellent job matching him with dogs of similar energy to ensure a successful time.

My dog, Pepper, loves to go to Poco's in Bowling Green. She very much enjoys her two legged as well as four legged friends there. As well as daytime play, she has also stayed over-night while we were out of town for a few days. I was very confident that she would be well taken care of in our absence. The bonus is that she was also well loved while we were gone. The staff is professional and caring. Thanks Poco's! A great place for my dog to have a safe fun time.

Boarded my dog here for the first time and I am very happy with the place. My dog hurt herself the day we were dropping her off. She licked her scratch while we were out of state, and they had to take her to our vet. Everything with that went smoothly. I didn't have to worry about my dog at all, they care enough to watch out for things like that! Ty so much!! A couple years have gone by since I wrote this review and I have remained a customer of this dog kennel. My dog is always happy and cared for whenever I pick her up.

We have been taking our dogs to Karnik for many years and our dogs LOVE being there. Both get so excited when we pull up and can’t wait to go into the play area. The staff is GREAT, very caring and loving to our pets. It is nice to be able to check in on them via webcam when we are away. Highly recommend sending your pets here…they are in good hands.

This was the first time our kitties, Sulley and Gracie have been boarded. Not sure what to have expected. Thanks to Karnik and their staff our kitties were well taken care of. First time for my dog Betty for an evaluation for daycare and boarding. The staff is very knowledgeable and gentle. I was extremely happy with her short stay. I highly recommend Karnik Pet Lodge.

I’ve always been very reluctant to board my dogs anywhere. After tour of the facility, I agreed to board down for an evaluation for a future boarding. The facilities are very clean. It appears to be very well. Run and staff is very kind. It was comforting to know that they give you a report of your dogs behavior and any interaction they had with a specific Dog that was also Boarding there. I highly recommend this facility.

Karnik and their employees went above and beyond caring for our cat Indy, making him feel less anxious, and carefully administering his medications. When we picked him up, he was happy and comfortable. Highly recommend the caring staff at Karnik!

Our dog attends day care every Tuesday. She loves it and can't get into the door fast enough. The staff is friendly and professional.

I decided not to continue dropping my dog off at 41K9 because the staff waited until a serious incident to occur before letting me know that my dog was showing signs of obvious distress. My dog had been going several days a week for about a month. The day I was told of the incident, was the first day I was informed the staff was aware that my dog had been distressed during her time there for some time. I did not notice any changes as my dog was always happy to jump in the car and see the staff in the morning and pleasantly tired when I picked her up. I understand there are many dogs to keep track of, but if my dog is known to be upset during the day, I should have been told when it was first observed.

Milo just gets his entire life each time he visits. He's learning to socialize, behave and make friends. When he comes home...He's puckered out...the staff is friendly, courteous and always attentive.

I left 3 messages, with my question in each message, over a 2 day period stressing a time crunch each time. Someone left me a message to email them, that they don't answer the phone since they are always doing things. (They did not answer my question on this message) So, I emailed them the question. I got a response that they could not accommodate my situation. What a bother! It was obvious that they did not bother listening to EACH of my messages with the question and just couldn't be bothered to answer the phone. After reading these reviews, I will not pursue any services from this kennel.

So happy we found this place.... When we go out of town we don't always have family to watch the dogs. This place isn't the closest but out of all the ones I personally visited this was the one place that treated me and Honey like FAMILY. It's just a vibe in that place, people are happy and the dogs are happy too... For me it isn't about the cost or location for my 4 legged family but about how she feels when visiting the location, I'm not the one staying there and let's just say she didn't want to leave 😉 and my wallet didn't hurt after. Finally thoughts, After the owner took the time out of his day to come see who this newcomer was, I just felt relaxed. For me it's about an hour drive but the fact she doesn't want to leave means it's totally worth it.

My boy loves the day trips but not so much the overnight. The staff is working with me to help make his overnights better, they gave me some suggestions and have been very helpful. Staff is very friendly and I will continue to use 41K9 for my boy!

We take our sweet girl here 5-6 days out of the week while we are at work, she had just turned 4 months when we started bringing her and she absolutely loves it. We don’t have any issues with her being a younger dog in the Pack. Shes always tired when she gets home and it’s definitely made her even more social with people and dogs. The staff is so kind and friendly always willing to talk and hear my concerns and make me feel very safe bringing our dog here. We are so grateful for these amazing and friendly staff for taking care and watching our girl during the day. Definitely recommend checking them out!

Previously I had rated this establishment with 5 stars. I no longer can. We've reached a three strikes point and will no longer be returning. First strike, my sister who brought us on to 41k9 had picked up her pup and while in the parking lot heard some absolutely cursing up a storm at the dogs. She said it was foul language and completely unnecessary for the environment. Second strike was about 2-3 weeks later when our dog, a Newfie, so she looks like a black bear but absolutely one of the most passive dog breeds ever, she will literally put herself between two people yelling at each other in order to spread them out. She was accused of snapping at another dog, a pitt, while at the water bowl. I'll admit she'll drink it by the gallon, but we've only ever heard her growl once, and that was not at a dog. All she ever wants to do is get love and play. And in this water bowl event, only our dog was hurt, the other dog bit her face and cut her just under the eye. So we were very suspicious, not to mention pissed at the accusations, and our guard was way up. I almost called it right there and demanded video proof. And then this whole issue with the owner popped up on social media. I don't care how he wants to excuse it, it was a racist tirade for which he took absolutely ZERO responsibility or accountability and simply deflected everything. For someone who self proclaims they are not associated with the business other than to clean and fix things, he sure responded to my previous 5 star review by name. Third strike. We're done. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. This is one of those places that makes Toledo so great. The staff is amazing and take such good care of our dog both at daycare and when boarding. Could not recommend them any higher!

The staff at 41K9 are great. They love the pups and take great care of them. I was concerned my eleven year old would not be socialized enough for day care but she loves going there.

Apollo and Artemis has their tempernant test today at 41k9! They did awesome! For all the pet owners who are going back to work and are afraid to leave their dogs alone or people like My boyfriend and I who on mondays have to leave the dogs by themselves for up to 12 hours at home, I highly recommend this place! It’s cheap and provides so many different services that at other doggy daycares would charge you for! Also did I mentions it’s locally owned? The owner gave us a tour of the facilities and he is awesome. These pups are definitely worn out.
