I "ditto" everything the first reviewer stated even though that review is 2 years old. Our 8 year old Cock-a-poo is a very shy and sensitive guy with food allergies, but after staying twice at this wonderful place in 2013 - June (9 days) and July (4 days), he whined the whole way down their driveway when we took him home. He definitely bonded with Shane McBride, his son, and their helpers which says A LOT about the type of care our dog received. When it comes to my dog, I can't choose a better boarding facility than Countryside Play-N-Stay. BEST PLACE EVER!!!!! Thank you and see you all next vacation! Sincerely, Tess Thieler

First time boarding here. I found the owner Shane to be very rude and very unprofessional. I had and older Chihuahua that he did not like but I also had 4 other dogs so I boarded 5 for a weekend. Not friendly at all. His customer services skills were terrible. Dogs were very hyper and dirty when I picked them up. Overall not a good experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you had no other alternative.

Great place to have your dog stay. Very professional, friendly, and experienced staff. The amenities for dogs are quite good with a big indoor area as well as outside area. They took great care of my older dog when I was on vacation for three weeks. Would recommend to anyone for a multiple day stay or even their day time options.

Rachelle was so fantastic with my crew! One of my dogs is very distrusting of strangers and can take a while to warm up to new people. Rachelle was very patient and willing to come over multiple times prior to our trip so that Charlie could get comfortable with her. All 3 of my dogs loved her! She was patient and gentle with them, even when two of them found a skunk and ended up getting sprayed while we were away. She was very apologetic and willing to put in the extra work to bathe and de-skunk them, and kept me updated throughout the whole process of it. I definitely recommend Rachelle and Doggone Awesome Pet Services!

Rachel and Dennis have always been amazing with our fur kids - they treat them as their own pets with love and attention. We have done overnight visits for over 3 years now and I always feel comfortable with them in our house. Our dog can be a little difficult but he loves them!

They send an update with photos after each visit – multiple times a day! We can enjoy our vacation so much better seeing these frequent updates. And even for “daycare” if they walk the dogs twice in a day when I am at work, they send pics of all of my pets each visit. The communication is fantastic! Rachelle and her team are so responsive. They use a website for reservations which works out so well. And the email communication through the website is also perfect. I usually use them once a week for “daycare” purposes and I have also used them many times for extended vacation weeks. I have them stay overnight when I am on vacation. I trust them completely!! When I first found Doggone Awesome Pet Services in early 2022, I needed someone to give my diabetic cat an insulin shot twice a day. Cats are inherently shy and distrusting of strangers, but Rachelle was able to give Punky a shot twice a day, every day that we were gone!! Recently, I started fostering a dog (in addition to my own dog), and Rachelle and her sister both jumped in right away to come spend some time with the new dog and assess his behavior so that when I needed the once a week visit there would be no issues. I have recommended Doggone Awesome to a couple of my neighbors who are also thrilled with the service. Rachelle typically does a meet and great with each new client free of charge. I will continue to recommend Doggone Awesome Pet Sitters to people and I will be a client for life!

Doggone Awesome Pet Services is amazing! They do in-home care for my husband's small terrier dog when we go on trips and they are also very quick to respond to emergency situations. They also send picture updates and communicate timely. We are very happy with our service from here.

Fantastic Service. Rachel and Bob have been so friendly and kind. Bob treats our animals like his own. We know that our dog Charlie is always taken care of. The computer scheduling system they use is top notch. It is so easy to add or cancel a dog visit. They are able to do vacations too. We don't know what we would do without them. We work a lot and would never leave our dog unattended too long. I would HIGHLY recommend Doggone Awesome Pet Services!

Starting this off with I don't do reviews, I've left maybe 2 in my entire life and has to be something that has changed my life. That being said Josh & Bob have changed mine and my fiancé's life consistently for the better. I am a non trusting person especially with my best friends (my dogs). The two of them have basically adopted my dogs as their own and take care of them sometimes better than me. Doesn't matter if it for daycare or days. I never worry about dropping my dogs off. Honestly they are more excited to go to their house than my own. If you ever need anyone to watch your pets this is the place... Thank you both again for giving my dogs another home!

I can’t even put into words how thankful we are that we found such kind people to watch our dog! It was our first time away from our beagle/hound so we were anxious, but Josh soothed our worries during our whole trip! They are so very thorough with care and specific needs for your pet. Salem recently recovered from heartworm treatment, and they had a vet tech check his heart and lungs every day as a precaution. Josh loved Salem like he was his own and sent us lots of photos of Salem playing with his new doggy friends that were also staying! It’s a huge sigh of relief that we found the place that can watch Salem if we ever need them to. Josh and Bob are truly dog people and we can’t thank them enough!

The Pittsburgh Pet Concierge is an amazing boutique pet boarding facility, that loves your fur babies like they are their own. I have taken the most difficult pup there and they accommodated him to his needs, and now our new pup who is easy going. They have play yards that they can play in, you get photos of your fur friends daily as well. I will only use the Pittsburgh Pet Concierge knowing full well my fur kid is in the best hands ever. Pittsburgh pet concierge is an amazing facility that treats your pets like their own! They are so communicative and helpful with me and my puppy. They offer so much flexibility with my work schedule since it’s in a home with 24/7 supervision. My Australian shepherd is always so excited to go and is always tired when she gets picked up. They continue to go above and beyond the other doggy daycares/ boarding facilities I have been to previously and could not be happier to have found them!

A review just isn’t enough honestly. Josh & Bob are two of the most AMAZING human beings I’ve ever come into contact with. They are kind, accommodating and most importantly selfless. They have been watching Lola since she was a year old. Lola sometimes doesn’t do well with strangers and they took on the challenge. They never pushed her. They went at her pace. They never made me feel bad for her reactivity. They never made me feel like a bother or that she was a burden. She is truly VIP here and they love her as if she was their own. Loki has been seeing them for the last 2 years. He too has his own issues. He isn’t the best in new environments with dogs he’s unsure of and Josh & Bob didn’t bat an eye at taking him on too. They truly treat them like their own dogs. I never have to worry about them when they’re there. Sadly, we are moving 9hrs away and will no longer be able to use PPC. This is probably the hardest thing about moving and trusting new people with our dogs. But Josh has offered to help in so many ways to ease our transition and any chance we can have to have them watch our pups again, we will. Josh & Bob have become more than our dog boarders, they’re our family. If you need someone to watch your dog I wouldn’t recommend anyone else. PPC is the absolute best place.

We had THE BEST experience possible at Pittsburgh Pet Concierge. We had never done any kind of boarding for our 3 pups so we were extremely hesitant to do so, but needed the service as we were going on a week long trip. We had called a few places around the Pittsburgh area but Joshua at Pittsburgh Pet Concierge was so attentive and helpful from the very beginning which made this place really stand out. From the registration, to the transparency and the attentiveness, it really is a 5 star experience from start to finish. We live in the north hills but will drive the extra 25 minutes every time. They make the process so easy and Joshua kept us updated every single day with photos, videos and questions. They were so happy and relaxed. The dogs do not sleep alone in cages, they have someone with them at all times, which was huge for us. I could go on and on and on about the experience that we had with them but I will sum it up by saying that if you choose any other boarding service in the Pittsburgh area, you’re truly doing your pups a disservice. I used the cat boarding services for my 2-year-old tortie while I was on vacation and my expectations were met beyond my initial expectations! Josh and everyone were very respectful and reassuring that my cat would be safe and happy, and they proved to be right on the money. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing my cat was in good and safe hands, and not in sound pound with limited space or surrounded by other cats or dogs she doesn't know. Going forward, this is where I'll be taking my cat the next time I go on vacation!

Boarded our 2 year old male cat for 5 days. Cat area was extremely nice. Clean, bright and spacious. It was also isolated from dogs so cats didn't have to deal with that. Owner and staff very nice and very accommodating. Would definitely use them again.

Only place we take the pets. Don't let the cost fool you. Just because they affordable does not mean not reliable or inanetive. Always accommodating. Will keep you updated if needed. Super friendly. Very satisfied with the care they gave my dogs and cat. Clean, air conditioned and they walk the dogs several times a day. My dogs seem very content there. I have used them for several years now and never disappointed.

We use Patti's at least twice a year for our two furballs. They absolutely love it there! Whenever we get close they start getting so excited, you'd think they were going to the dog park! They are nothing but professional and every time we leave our pups there we know they are being well taken care of!

Boarded my 13-pound Chihuahua mix here for a week. Normally she hates the kennel but when I picked her up she was very energetic. I like that they make sure the dog actually eats their food during their stays because at other kennels my dog would hardly eat for the entire stay; when I picked up my dog almost all her food was eaten. It is also nice that they separate little and big dogs for play time because my dog is terrified of larger dogs. The price is very reasonable as well.

Haven’t gone back here for years, ever since they apparently abused our boxer. When we went to pick her up, instead of happiness she was cowering in fear. We boarded her for a week, called mid-week to check on things and they told us “you can never bring her back here.” That comment totally RUINED the remainder of our vacation! Too many other amazing kennels in the area, don’t waste your time, money and possibly risk the well-being of your pet going to this place!

Spoiled Tails is the only place we trust with all of our pets! Amanda is the best and always treats our dogs as family. We’ve tried boarding our dogs prior to using Spoiled Tails and it was a miserable experience for us as owners and a traumatizing experience for our poor dogs. We use Spoiled Tails every time we travel and we’re always so at ease knowing our dogs are in such great hands. Amanda is very responsive and the prices are super reasonable as well!

One of the best decisions we made was to have Amanda/Spoiled Tails LLC dog sit for us. Not only is she awesome with our 18 month labradoodle, Moose, Amanda is fantastic with our two cats and flock of chickens. Moose is always so excited for her visits that he never misses a beat when we are gone. She is beyond loving, kind and caring with our pets. Our fury and feathered pets love her!! You will too!!

Amanda watched my elderly Yorkie for 18 days! Yes, 18 days! She was wonderful. She sent me pictures and videos daily, and answered my texts promptly, which always had numerous questions. My dog looked happy and healthy when I returned. I know he was well taken care of. I worried because he is an older dog and has his peculiarities, but she didn’t seem to mind and made him feel loved and for that I am appreciative. She gave him his medicine, and made sure he didn’t stay out in the sun and heat too long. She made him chicken to mix in with his food, and even watered my plants as I worked so hard on developing my flower garden before I left. I would recommend Amanda for any of your pet needs. She can handle it. Your pet is in safe and capable hands!

Amanda was very professional and friendly. She came to our house and clipped our 2 cats nails. I could definitely tell that she was experienced! Our cats loved her. Amanda knew how to handle our precious kitties with love. They didn’t even realize they were getting a mani! Rebecca was the first person that we trusted with our Newfie. Her and her family were great with Cooper. I received lots of pictures while he was in her care. I could see how much fun he was having with her and her family. When he came home he was exhausted! When Rebecca left he watched her until she drove away. I suffer from migraines so Rebecca is a godsend! She comes and picks up my pooch and they run her all day. My dog is a Jack Russell and does NOT tire easy. Rebecca and her family do an amazing job watching, feeding, playing and medicating her. I don’t have to worry when she is there and I always receive lots of pictures and updates. I was super nervous about leaving Zera anywhere, be it for day play or boarding. She suffers from intense separation anxiety, but is still well behaved for any caretakers, like groomers or my parents. I worried about leaving her for extended periods of time. That fear literally evaporated when visiting Dogtopia in Greensburg. Every last employee loves these dogs as if they are their own, they remember names, behaviors, who you dog buddies up to, EVERYTHING. It’s more than a job, it’s their passion, and it absolutely shows. All of their precautions and procedures are tailored to ensure maximum safety and care for your pup. Plus, if you have your own touch of separation anxiety, you can use the app to log into their camera system and watch you babies play with others! It’s the best show on TV, haha! We love taking our dog to Dogtopia! I know they have our dog's best interest! They ensure the dogs are healthy and always offer fun activities and treats! We take advantage of the grooming cause our dog is not an easy one to bathe. Our dog was out due to illness, and they continued to check up on her. I highly recommend Dogtopia to anyone!

As a new dog owner, I was quite nervous about finding a place to board my dog. But from the minute we stepped through the door, the Dogtopia team has been absolutely INCREDIBLE. They are so compassionate and meets dogs and their owners where they are. My dog who was once nervous and afraid of other dogs has made friends and loves going. This team of staff also went over and beyond to care for my dog while I was unexpectedly hospitalized this past week. We recently moved to Pennsylvania and we’re stuck in a difficult situation with our dog. We were running into multiple road blocks with rehoming likely being the next step. Our Goldie Bear, Banks has been visiting Dogtopia for just a few short months and in that time, I can honestly say that this facility, staff, and owners make it feel as if I've known them my whole life. I work full time remotely from home and last June we adopted Banks. I thought it would be the ideal situation being home everyday with him. As time went on I realized it was actually not ideal for either one of us. Both of us needed our space at times and he needed much more socialization than he was getting living in a house with two elderly dogs. We started taking Banks and immediately saw the benefit he was getting from interacting with other social, playful pups. He loves and we appreciate all of the activities that are planned weekly for the dogs. I love that our fridge is covered with pictures from fun themed photo shoot days. They really pay so much attention to the needs of each dog, ensure safety, and provide us pet parents with peace of mind in their available Webcams. In addition, the staff and owners not only care so deeply about their daycare doggos but, they also care for their families and even extended pets. Providing Banks a safe, loving, social, and clean environment is extremely important to us as pet parents, and Dogtopia exceeds all of our expectations. We recently went on vacation and our normal dog sitter was not available. I had heard good things about Dogtopia, and signed our pup up for daycare and boarding for our eventual trip. The staff was extremely friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. They treated our pup with care and respect and am extremely satisfied with everything at Dogtopia Greensburg. The webcams on their app is a huge bonus, too, and we enjoyed checking in to see our pup enjoying his time there. Additionally, the prices I found to be quite reasonable. Pumpkin always enjoys going to play with the other dogs there. When Shadow was still living, he enjoyed going to play. Every time I went to Greensburg, Shadow would stand up the whole time. We boarded our pup at SSR for our wedding weekend. The staff was so kind and caring to our pup! We started with a trial run for 2 hours a few weeks prior to the wedding to make sure SSR was a good fit for our pup. The staff sent us pictures of our dog throughout his stay, so we could see he was okay. I highly recommend SSR!

They are AMAZING! My dogs absolutely love it there!

Great place! I love taking my dog here whenever I am out for the day. The staff is friendly and really gets to know you and your pet. I appreciate seeing all of pictures they took throughout the day. I cannot speak for the self serve grooming stations, but from the looks of it, top notch. I would highly recommend this place for your dog!
