Tim does a great job of choosing and announcing ahead of time just what to expect from each adventure hike. Variety of terrains and challenges means you can keep going week after week and it's always new! Plus, it's a great socialization opportunity for the dogs. Highly recommend as a weekend activity for the outdoor-inclined.

Professional, knowledgeable, personable, and welcoming to all; this is a fantastic business! I’ve hired Tadhg from OutHounds to speak at Afterschool Enrichment programs, and have been thoroughly impressed by his ability to engage a young audience, hold their attention, and manage a classroom in a firm but respectful way. I’ve also joined the group several times on hikes with my own family. Although we don’t yet own a dog ourselves, I wanted my children to feel safe in the presence of dogs, and to understand how to behave appropriately around them. Adventures also give me a chance to try new hikes with my kids and just enjoy the time with them rather than navigating (no worries about getting lost in the woods!). We were welcomed without hesitation, learned a lot, and enjoyed hikes we wouldn’t have tried on our own. I highly recommend the adventures - with or without a furry friend!

I love using OutHounds Adventure. They really care about my dog and his well being. I find that the excursions with other dogs has improved my pets ability to be more social and more playful. An area he needed to work on when we first adopted him.

Recently started classes here with my 3 year old Golden doodle. The instruction has been amazing. Everything is clearly explained with the reasoning as to why. My dog is so excited for class and likes her instructor. We have been able to remove the prong collar that her original trainer pushed. After only 2 weeks she has learned new skills. I highly recommend this facility.

Went on a hike today and it was amazing! Tim is incredible with dogs and very knowledgeable! By far the best trainer in the area. I highly recommend any of the services they provide.

We took the Manners class with OutHounds and learned a lot. We have now begun participating in the Adventure Club and are enjoying it. We even went on a urban walk and had a drink at Cisco afterward.

After boarding at Ven-Elgers for 15 years I recently boarded my dog at Westport Dog Kennel and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. It's disheartening to know that my dogs became unwell while under their care. The staff seemed friendly and attentive,. While I understand that dogs can fall ill due to various factors, I expected a better level of cleanliness and attention to detail to prevent such incidents. Considering the negative impact on my dog's well-being and the overall experience, I cannot confidently recommend Westport Dog Kennel. It's crucial for pet owners to choose a facility that prioritizes cleanliness, communication, and the health of the animals in their care.

I pick up rescue dogs here from quarantine and the dogs are always well taken care of. Love that there is food and treats for sale if I needed them. Also they have a store dog who is a very good dog and likes pets.

Our dogs love this place - happily go in and come out well-groomed and fit! The staff is super nice and when we were in a traffic delay for pick up they understood and let us get them after normal hours.

I was supposed to pick up my dog from quarantine 1/9. This establishment has been working with Cenla for years and decided that on 1/9 they were going to need a special fecal test that “should have been done when the dog was in the south”. However Westport dog has not asked for this in the past few years but decided this time they would. My dog has been in quarantine an extra 24 hours with dogs that could potentially be positive for whatever it is they are testing for. Now it’s 1/10 and no one from this Westport dog will answer a phone call! Myself and 12 other dog owners could not pick up our dogs on the scheduled! Day. So now I sit here trying to plan my day and these people can not give us a curtesy call! I’m am so disappointed with my experience! Can’t wait to keep calling these people !

Westport Dog is great! Great people who know dogs and know what they’re doing. Our Basenji is not an easy dog to board. She happily walks into Westport Dog and is totally content. Love this place!

Wonderful staff and great facility. They provide boarding, grooming, daycare - you name it. They go above and beyond for local rescue groups, too. A group of people who genuinely care about the work they do and the little ones they help each day.

Everyone at Paws n Play are very nice and genuinely care for your pup. They responded to every text I sent and assured me that my pup was having a good time. I love the fact that they constantly post pictures of all the play time and they will even send you private pics if you don’t have Facebook. My pup stayed here for one week and had the best time ever!! She was pampered on the last day and let’s talk about how good she still smells amazing days later! I have to get my hands on the shampoo they use, Lol! We have used this facility with 2 of our dogs and have always been very pleased! 🐶❤️

We use Paws 'N' Play one day a week for our 14-month old Havanese puppy. She seems to really enjoy socializing with the other dogs... and the staff is excellent.

Boarded our girl there for the first time, and can’t express my gratitude enough for how well they took care of her. Love how they are constantly posting pics & videos of the dogs - it felt like we were checking in on her while we were gone.

Paws N Play took excellent care of our members of the pac. Bath, nails and play time they were happy when I picked them up. Staff was very friendly. Referred them to my picky sister n law.

I called them as I am new to dog daycare. Person on phone was rude and said that my dog is not good enough to join their “ Pack”. That’s fine I will find another place that is respectful and willing to handle my 40 pound dog. Also my dog is a great dog. Avoid this place if you don’t want to be judged.

They are the best! We boarded our dog for a week and felt totally fine with the care she received. And the pictures of all the doggies are awesome!!!

Lora and her staff do a FANTASTIC JOB! I usually only bring my furry friend a few times a year(been bringing him for the past 4 years)but when I do, I’ve always had a positive experience. This year he did a weekend stay and he also did a 10 day stay due to our vacation plans. I had zero issues, when I checked in on him(because he was staying so long)I received a timely and positive response from the owner. Her staff is extremely friendly and I find that they understand how stressful it can be leaving your pet in someone else’s care. They do put their pics on Facebook playing with other dogs so you can see how they are doing which is great. I find the facility to be very clean and the staff to be very organized. My only suggestion would be to book early if you plan on a trip during a holiday weekend or the summer, they can fill up fast sometimes.

First time going to Paws 'N' Play and I was very disappointed. I called to make an appointment for my dog to have a bath. I was told I can drop him off at 12pm and he will be ready for 1:30pm. Shortly after I drop him off I received a text saying he will be ready at 12:30. I was at work and didn't plan for that so I had to leave early to get him. Once I arrived I was told it was $40 I had asked why it was so much when the websites says $25-35 for dogs 0-39 lb and my dog is 25 lb. I was told price went up and they weren't even aware the website had the prices listed. The didn't honor the price they advertised. Once I brought my dog home I noticed he smelled like they had just spryed him with perfume. He felt exactly the same as when I dropped him off. Now it's been a few days and his dog oder is back. I am convinced they didn't even bath him also they missed a few of his nails that were supposed to be trimmed.

Awesome facility and my puppy absolutely loved her weekend here. As a new dog dad I was a bit nervous boarding her for the first time, but Lora made us feel comfortable from the get go. And her communication throughout the weekend with updates and pictures took away any worries I had!

We have never used a service to take care of our animals while away but we decided to give it a try for our two cats. We found Lexi via Facebook and were glad we hired her to watch our cats while away for two weeks on vacation. Lexi did an amazing job caring for our cats and it is evident she truly treats pets like they are her own. She communicated frequently with messages and videos and made us feel at ease while away that our cats were doing well. Lexy is hands down the most caring dog sitter I have ever had. She takes such good care of our Australian Shepherd. She took the time to get to know him and what he likes...apparently less walks and more fetch!...and when he accidently broke out of our home while we were away, she contacted me immediately and even offered to go out and check on him at 11pm. You're not gonna find a more competent and thorough caregiver for your furry family than this amazing crew!!

Lexi recently did drop-in visits for our cat while we were on vacation for a week. It was our first time using her services and we are so grateful we found her business! She made the process very easy and is extremely personable and communicative. In the brief interaction we had, it was clear how much she truly cares for each of the animals she tends too and respects their individual needs. Even though our cat is not exactly friendly towards new people and will hide, she managed a few glimpses of him and shared updates - which gave me great peace of mind to know he was ok! I would highly recommend her services!

Look at how happy they are 🤣 a picture speaks a thousand words. This was Lucas and Violet’s second time here and the longest stay away from us. As usual… we mean nothing to them as they enjoyed their vacation here. The owners are phenomenal with their updates, get amazing pictures and take such good care of our babies. It’s hard finding someone you trust when your fur babies can’t speak to tell you if they’re taken care of or not. But the smiles say it all 🖤 we love it here!

I have brought my dogs here to stay 3 times for when we go on vacation and cant bring our pups. The staff is very friendly and posts photos of the dogs on their facebook. Highly recommend for anyone who needs their dogs to be watched for any occasion. They have many things for the dogs to play with and is very good for the dogs to get socialization! My husband and I were a little apprehensive about leaving Shadow in a group setting as she has been fear responsive. Kara & James worked with her and within a day she was in with all the dogs. I love the videos they and all the pictures they post each day so you can check in on your fur-baby anytime. We are definitely going to have 7 dogs boarding for all of our future vacations!!

Our 6 month old pup absolutely LOVES coming to hangout out for the day or a weekend here. I know that she is well taken care of, happy and worn out from playing with her friends by the time we pick her up from a day while we are at work. The owners know each and every dog personally and take the time to care for them like their own. We always know our dog is in great hands at 7 dogs boarding and daycare!

Over the past week, my partner and I left our 6 month old retriever in the caring hands of Kara and James at 7 Dogs Boarding. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! This was the first time leaving Ellie with a boarder, and needless to say, we were both extremely thrilled that we chose them. Ellie is a very submissive and timid girl when it comes to first interactions with other dogs, so at first, we were hesitant leaving her anywhere. Kara and James both reassured us that she would be in great hands, and they would make sure she would be comfortable at all times. They had sent pictures and videos to us to show that she was having a great time, and when we picked her up, it was like she was a brand new dog! She loves being around other pups now! All in all, this had to have been the best decision my partner Chad and I have made for Ellie. They were very accommodating, helpful, and attentive. Not to mention Ellie absolutely adores the couple and the business, as do Chad and I for all of their hard work. We are very pleased with our experience, and look forward to boarding at 7 Dogs again! I’m sure Ellie is too. 😉

We highly recommend 7 Dogs Boarding and Day Care. We have 2 100+ pound Great Pyrenees who have never been away from us for any length of time. Having go somewhere without them gave us the need to search out a day care and boarding place that would accept them at their size. Yesterday was their fist time staying at 7 Dogs and of course being very nervous to leave them under someone else care was very hard. I can now say that we are so very impressed with the care and fun they had that they will now be our go to place with our gentle giants. Drop of was easy and very pleasant, the pick up was also the same. You can tell right from the fist meeting that the owners really care for animals and treat them as their own. We watched the videos they posted of our dogs and the other fur babies having the time of their life playing. Thank You so much for the care you give all of our fur babies. If I could I would give them 10 stars and the highest rating.

We boarded our Lab at 7 dogs, when we took a family trip to Florida. He was well taken care of and made lots of friends in his time there. We are extremely happy with the quality of care and will definitely be using them again in the future!

My golden got a bath there and he smelled amaazing for so long after his bath. He rolls around in dirt and mulch all the time but you couldn't even tell. Staff was kind and told me how he was a good boy during his bath too which of course felt awesome. Thank you guys so much!!

Excellent care for our doodle. No scolding or judgment on OUR grooming schedule. We didn't need that from the "other" place. This place also responsibly cleans our doodle's ears, which any good "doodle groomer" should. Coming here was best decision we ever made. Thank you!!

Took my Australian Shepherd/Malamute mix here for the first time today and all I can say is wow what a great job they did! Ashley tackled his mats and shaggy coat with such an expert finish. Other groomers have not been able to get such great results for him. I used to dread bringing him to the groomers and now I can’t wait to book my next appointment.

Since Covid-19, I have been grooming our Malshi ourselves, which I have come to grasps that I am no groomer. I called Emma Marie's on Tuesday and they were able to get Winston in that day. The team was great, especially Winston's groomer Amanda. She did an awesome job!!! Winston looks so handsome and smells amazing. Looks like we have found ourselves a new groomer. Thanks Emma Marie's!!! See you in 6 weeks.

Looking for a daycare is very difficult as you want nothing but the best for your fur baby. A friendly, clean, safe environment. I did a lot of research and read reviews. I contacted Emma Marie’s Dartmouth location and Annie, Onboarding/New Client Specialist was an absolute pleasure speaking to regarding the program, process for new participants. She was friendly, informative and made me feel very confident on sending our fur baby. The process for filling out all the paperwork was easy, Anne provided excellent detail on all the information and was very responsive if I had a question. The first trial day the staff was so welcoming, pleasant. The facility is beautiful, well kept and clean. Anne spoke to me after the first day on how our pup responded to the program. Anne is wonderful with communication, information and advice. The staff is alway friendly and kind and inviting. Our pup seems to really enjoy her time at daycare. We are very, very happy with Emma Marie’s Dartmouth and would recommend them for anyone seeking daycare services for their fur baby.

Nicole is awesome. She took fantastic care of our mini Aussie and cat. Getting photos and a play-by-play of every visit gave me so much peace while we were away. I usually feel guilty leaving our dog because we both have separation anxiety, but she treated him so well it was like he got a vacation too! Now I’m not worried about traveling because I know he’s happy when she walks through the door.

We have used Hooves and Paws twice now during extended trips away from home. The service has been extremely reliable, with superb communication. Highly recommended for anyone looking for pet care during time away from home!

Five stars all the way. Nicole is a consummate professional, I cannot tell you how grateful I am to have found her. I’ve been through many pet sitters over the last 15 years or so and it’s tough to find a really good, reliable one. This is the one, hire hooves and paws. She takes care of my cats but I know she does farm animals as well. Of note, she is probably the best priced sitter I’ve had. Hooves and paws for the win!!!

Nicole is rockstar! She was so accommodating to my pets needs. My cat was on a med that was twice a day and I wasn’t sure when he was going to finish it. She was happy to play it by ear and make two visits a day if needed. It was a weekend and I felt bad if she had to leave her weekend plans open, but she didn’t hesitate to help. We use Petscort for a weekly Dog play group for our dogs. They come and pick them up and then drop them back off. The dogs love going! Always very friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

We have been using Petscort since 2017 and Michelle & all the Petscort team have been amazing with our pups, both for daily afternoon walks and pet sitting overnight in our home. So caring and thoughtful, they all have wonderful relationships with our dogs. I wholeheartedly recommend them!!

Michelle and her team did a great job looking after our 3 kitties while we were on vacation. They asked questions during the meet and greet to make sure they understood our cats' needs, were easy to get in touch with throughout the process, and even sent pictures during the trip so we could see our kitties were happy and healthy. I would definitely recommend Petscort and would use them again!

These are the only people I would ever trust with my cats in my home. Since my sister moved out west I haven't been able to find anyone that I feel comfortable leaving with my three cats. One of the Cats needs medication and the other two try to sneak out the door. Michelle ( petscort owner) and cat sitter Megan came over a few days before my trip to go over everything. They were professional, attentive and caring and I knew right away that I could trust them with my 3 kitties. Megan sent me pictures and little updates while I was away and when I came home the cats were relaxed and everything was perfect. I know other cat owners know is very hard to find someone to take care of your cats. They really need to stay in their own home and finding someone You trust is very nerve-wracking. Finding Petscort is such a relief. I was able to go on my trip and relax and not worry. I'm planning a two week vacation out of the country in the winter and it's such a relief to know I can count on them. I can't recommend them highly enough

Michelle and Troy are excellent in their communication, pricing and most importantly the care they provide for your animals. I would recommend them 100% to any responsible pet owner. Plus, they have a huge backyard for your dog to run and play - so your pup is having FUN with other dogs while you are away!

An all-around wonderful company that provides great care of our four-legged family members. We have primarily used Petscort for our dogs' playgroups (which they absolutely love), but we have also relied upon Petscort for petsitting while we are away and individualized dog walks. They truly care about our animals and always give professional and reliable service. I can't say enough about them!

Perscort is great. I highly recommend. They come to my house to clip my 2 pugs nails once a month. 2 pugs that DO Not like nails cut. The woman are so sweet and patient. Very reliable. Very well run and caring staff!! ❤️❤️❤️

On Oct 25, 2024 I dropped off my golden doodle to get groomed. I checked in with a young girl at the desk. His groomer came out to get Cooper, who was also a young girl. I reminded her that he has separation anxiety and is sensitive to grooming his paws and tail. I got a call 2 hours later that he was all set and ready for pick up. I let the girl know that I was leaving immediately and lived 20 minutes away. When I arrived, the same young girl that checked us in was at the counter and took payment for the grooming services. I waited for the groomer to come out with Cooper. The young groomer came out with Cooper and told me that “Cooper climbed a fence and was attempting to go over the top when she caught him” I immediately asked WHY was he left alone, unsupervised long enough to do that!?! On the way home, all I could think of was how tragic it could’ve been if Cooper got over the top of that fence. When we got home, I noticed Cooper yelp when he jumped up on the couch. One of his paws appeared injured. I immediately emailed the owner, Jeff to call me as soon as possible. He didn’t call me until the next day. I let him know that his groomer had told me about Cooper climbing the fence and was attempting to go over the top, that his paw was injured, and having only 2 young girls manage the front desk, grooming, and the dog daycare yard put my dog at risk for serious harm. One week later, I’m still waiting for my refund, an apology would’ve been nice….BEWARE!!!

Excellent care - playtime, overnight and grooming, I'm always extremely satisfied with Camp American Canine. Jeff is great and his staff is always terrific. We've been going there about 15 years and we're on our second dog going there so that should tell you something.

Our dog Darth Tater loves Camp Bow Wow! They treat every dog like family, and provide a safe, clean, entertaining environment for all the pups! He loves doing the enrichment sessions, which provide 1-1 playtime for him (and adorable pictures). I also love having the cameras and being able to check in on him during the day. We have just had a successful camper interview. Our border collie is very busy and usually somewhat anxious. We were quite impressed with the demeanor of the staff and the attention paid to all the dogs, as well as the cleanliness of the facility. Daisy was hesitant at first, but soon joined right in. They take great care of my pup and I love that I can check up on him with the puppy cameras. They did an amazing photo session with him that brightened my day when we were away. Highly recommend!
