We are returning clients with multiple dogs trained at Green Leaf Pet Resort. If you are on the fences about working with them, I can confidently say if Shelly takes you on, you are in luck! Their lifetime correction and retraining guarantee is just unmatched. Having our deaf Great Pyrenees trained there during the pandemic with Jake, with excellent results, we decided go back when Marley really did not get along with our most recent rescue addition English Bulldog Turbo. They would be at each other’s throat fighting and anyone who would get caught in the middle of the scuffle could get hurt as well. We loved both dogs therefore we were determined to do whatever it takes. Jake and Walther took on the challenge and after 5 months of day school attendance, weekend workshops, with lots of patience and consistent work, we finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and seem to have found peace at home. **Revised review: I hate to write this, but I think other pet owners should know. We have boarded an additional 2 times since I wrote the review below. On both of these occasions, our dogs have returned to us with Kennel Cough. This past time, (we picked them up Monday) they had such serious symptoms that we had to take them to the vet, +$1,000 on top of a ridiculously high boarding fee. We've spend over $6,000 in very short boarding stays. You pay for private activities and they don't send pictures or updates, despite saying they will. I asked in-person and in the portal notes that during swim time my dogs wear lifejackets, they didn't listen. I wanted to like this place, but I don't believe they take health, safety, and cleanliness procedures seriously enough. We won't be bringing our dogs back here. _______________________________________________ Our two pups stayed at Green Leaf while we were out of the country for a week and it was clear when we picked them up.... they had a blast! They were happy, energized, and clearly well-fed and loved on while we were gone. We were so worried about finding a place for our 1-year old puppies because they aren't neutered yet. Green Leaf offers so many activities and things to keep them occupied if they can't participate in daycare or group play. They were boarded together in the Prince & Princess Suite and we added on some additional activities for them. They did the lure course, swimming, nature walks, and private play with the team. Cannot say enough good things about this team - Dashyra is awesome! Collin is an excellent swim instructor as well. Beautiful grounds and a great experience all-around!

From the half mile long driveway leading to the pond with a great blue heron feeding, I couldn't imagine a better first impression!! Followed up by attentive staff who checked us in, couldn't be easier to just drop your pup with their food treats and toy. My Akita Panda was only 9.5 months when she first visited for 3 weeks. She had 5 hours minimum of play time with all the other pups, plus 5-6 15 minute walks daily, a great way for her to become well socialized with other dogs and humans too!!! Indoor salt water pool allowed her to learn how to swim during her stay as well!! Couldn't imagine a better set up, it's nicer then most places I've stayed to be honest and they've got a second location to boot!! It's nice to see how much people care about their pets, it allows a place like this to not only exist but flourish.

The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. And Lauren, the only groomer our dog will allow to touch him, was fabulous, as always. She is so understanding of our massive baby and gives such attention to his skincare and fur needs. We literally drive over an hour to have her groom Guinness each time. She does a fabulous job. The entire grooming department is super friendly and very good at what they do. Perfect staff.

Dexter is a 6yo untrained Miniature Schnauzer, barked at everything and always jumped on my autistic son who was always terrified of Dexter. Dexter did 5 weeks of boarded training and emerged a new dog! He never barks unless something is an actual threat. Not at deer, dogs, random strangers, knocks on the door, etc. We never knew how smart he truly is! Just as lovable as before, but now also listens to us and is super well behaved. Paul did a fantastic job training Dexter. I cannot say enough good things about Green Leaf!

Emma Rizzo-Troxell not only is the reason for Bentley’s smile at Green Leaf but she also fills him with love at home. I believe her experience at Green Leaf has made her a more knowledgeable doggy momma but she has always had a love for animals since birth. I am so proud of her for how she loved this pup and all of the dogs she takes care of❤️

The workers at the front desk are just one of many reasons why we use Your business week after week. The amount of times I recommend green leaf to everyone I know is in the 100’s. The training that my young dog has received in day school has been outstanding. She loves her trainer, Mary, and is eager to please. We’ve been addressing issues like impulse control, fear barking, and cat chasing and there’s been marked improvement. At day school graduation I could hardly believe it was the same dog. I especially appreciate that Mary will continue to train me and Sofie for as long as it takes for me to learn! 😊

Green Leaf Pet Resort truly takes care of every little detail—not just for the pets, but for the humans too! Jennifer the manager was so attentive, making sure my dog’s needs were met while also keeping an eye on mine. It’s rare to find a place where everyone leaves feeling refreshed and looking their best. My Wife and I have been having Karen watch our pets for close to ten years now. She's really great with animals and also with keeping you in the loop of how they're doing while you're away, as well. We even have an Iguana that's 19 years old now and shes great with exotic animals, too.

Karen is an incredible woman who truly cares for our dog Penny. She is so thoughtful, caring, and reliable. I cannot imagine entrusting our pup with anyone else. The mere mention of Karen ' s name sends Penny into a happy dance. I strongly encourage anyone who is considering a dog walker to engage Karen. Nobody does it better!

All seasons has been taking care of my pets for the last several years since I’ve moved back to Jersey. They are professional, friendly, and always take wonderful care of my dogs.

I send my dog to All Seasons Pet Resort occasionally for doggie daycare, and have boarded him with them several times. I've been very happy with the fair pricing, how they treat me as an owner, and especially how they treat my dog, who is a little timid when it comes to interacting with other dogs. All of the staff is friendly and communicative, and they post tons of candid pictures of all the dogs throughout the day so pet owners can have peace of mind and see their dogs enjoying themselves. I hope this place never closes or changes hands in ownership. They're doing all the right things and a great example of how a "pet resort" should be.

Our dogs absolutely love All Seasons Pet Resort and so do we. The staff are so loving and attentive. They have helped me many times with short notice to board our dogs for family emergencies. I highly recommend All Seasons Pet Resort!

This is our second time using All Seasons and we'll definitely be bringing back our sweet timid Ginger here. They understand that my fur baby is extremely shy and fearful of mostly anything bigger than her and they treat her with loving care. We LOVE all seasons pet resort. They are absolutely amazing, kind, caring people who give your dog all the love she could want. The daycare and boarding processes are super easy and affordable.

For the services I paid for my two dogs to stay for 2 nights and 3 days, I will not be bringing my dogs back to this boarding place for a few reasons. I tried to call and leave a message to kindly express my concerns but due to no returned call, I will leave my message here. I paid $400 for my 2 dogs to stay at this kennel and get their highest package including a nature walk, play time, and a treat during the day. I agreed to this package knowing it was their first time being boarded and I wanted my dogs to have the best experience they could. Two weeks after my dogs came home, my one dog formed this violent, repetitive cough which was later diagnosed as kennel cough from a vet. She had never been sick a day in her life and this was really upsetting to see her in this condition. As a customer, I would hope that the people working at this facility are cleaning the kennels properly as kennel cough is very contagious. I would also hope that there are rules in place that would isolate a dog if kennel cough was suspected to prevent spread to other dogs. I hope this is taken seriously as my dog still has a mild chronic cough 2 months after being boarded and after being on an antibiotic. Thank you.

Our Quincy LOVES Heartbark Hotel, he is eight month English Lab pup and has energy to spare. We pull up and he’s jumping up to get out to his friends. I wish we could bring him more often (not sure the staff feels the same 😂) we swear he’ll calm down soon. We’d recommend to everyone one.

Our puppy loves his time at the Heartbark Hotel. They have a great outdoor space for playtime and running around. The owner is very kind and easy to work with. We would highly recommend the Heartbark Hotel for your dog family members.

Excellent care for our dog. Very nice accomodations in paddocks which are climate controlled. Lots of supervised play time at the farm with toys play structures and pools. Pictures of your pet posted on Facebook during your stay. Barbara and Jane communicate regularly to you about your pup!

Our puppo, Paco, has been coming here for a little while now (a minimum of 2 days a week) and I think that the best way that I can express what the Heartbark Hotel is, is by saying that I love my dog so much that I couldn't fathom him ever not coming here. He is a pup, a rescue new to us who has become such an important part of our little family. But he has another family now too, and that's Barbara and Jane and all his little buddies at Heartbark. This is DOGGY HEAVEN ON EARTH. We are so incredibly happy that we found Heartbark and recommend them to any and all from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you, Heartbark Hotel, for providing our little munch with love, safety and a home away from home.

Heartbark Hotel is CLEAN and well-organized with an home-like open floor plan, weather sensitive yard rotation, and are kennel free. 24/7 supervision. Staff know how to group dogs by temperament, and owners are stewards for animal safety and well-being in the community. Photos posted to Facebook page let you see your best friend while they are boarding. Highly recommended.

They took great care of our two dogs while we were on vacation. The peace of mind knowing they were safe and well looked after was priceless. The staff too a wonderfully job making sure they get play time and enjoy the cage free environment.

We are so happy with the pet boarding services Carmelina provides for our dog Daisy! We recently moved to the area and were looking for someone we could trust to watch over Daisy while we are out of town. Best pet sitter I’ve ever had! Super professional and trustworthy. Carmelina has done an excellent job for the past two years looking after our two cats while we are away on vacations. She takes meticulous notes during her initial visit to make sure she is informed about all the important house and pet info, including backup house entry and what to do in emergencies. Always leaves the litter spotless and sends along lots of pictures! Great service at an affordable price. Would recommend to anyone.

Mel is a Godsend! While recovering from hip surgery I was able to enjoy having my dog because I was confident of her coming every day (twice!!) until I could. She is also concerned about how my pup likes to walk /his safety /and any particulars / you can talk about it all and she listens and communicates! Now that I’m recovered I am keeping her in my dogs life and feel free to pursue more outside activities because I have found someone I can trust and rely on!

I enrolled my Yorkie, Ralphie, at Shelly’s School for Dogs for obedience and off lease training. He was a rescue and really didn’t have any real training. I have gotten so many compliments on how well he behaves from my neighbors. He is a different dog. I want to thank Trevor, (Ralphie‘a trainer) for doing such a great job! I couldn’t have done it on my own. I want to thank everyone at Shelly’s and the staff at Green Leaf Pet Resort for all the help and kindness.

Green Leaf Resort is absolutely amazing!! Our friends highly recommended Shelly’s school for dog training (they went there when he was in Freehold). We decided to contact Shelly. Shelly took his time to explain his training program and we felt his background was not only impressive, he has extensive experience in training all types of dogs (breeds, rescues, behavioral). Shelly was always very responsive to our calls and emails. We decided to enroll our energetic Australian Shepherd puppy (Beau) in the Day Training program. Our pup picked Matt as his Trainer. We were stunned by how well Matt synched with our puppy, Beau, and how much Beau adored him!! Once Beau graduated from day training, during the demonstration Beau looked like a beautiful show dog with Matt. My husband and I were so impressed with how calm, focused and obedient Beau was with Matt!! Beau’s transformation is BEAUTIFUL. Now we are in the process of transitioning Beau’s training with what was taught by Matt to use at home. So now it’s our turn for training!! Currently, we are now in weekly training lessons with Matt at Green Leaf so we can transition the obedience that Beau learned at Training Day school for home. Beau gets SOOO excited when he sees Matt yet, Beau shows much respect for Matt during commands. Matt is patient, responsive, dedicated and has no problem correcting us as Beau’s owners when we don’t properly give Beau commands. At home, Beau has much more self-control with our cats, becoming more obedient to our commands and is making great strides in transitioning with what was taught at home for us. WITHOUT any hesitation, we HIGHLY recommend using Shelley’s school for training!! And if your pup picks Matt, they are smart and will most definitely be in great hands!! 😊

We left our Cooper for on-leash boarding and training for 3 weeks because while he was a sweet pup, he was also a handful on the leash and my wife and I were worried she would not be able to handle him as he got older. Josh was Cooper's trainer, and did a great job! Cooper was a completely different pup when we got him back. Even our dog walkers noticed the difference. And most importantly, Josh was great training us the parents after Cooper's training was done. We would highly recommend both Josh and Shelly's School for Dogs!

We brought our new puppy to Shelly to help us train her to be around our other dog. After the initial consult he assured us he could help and we started training with Josh. He explained how long everything would take, was very responsive when I called him with concerns during the process, and now that he is done, WOW. We are impressed. We are still in "our" training classes where Josh teaches us how to control the dog but I love watching our pup with him. You can tell she was in good hands with Josh and he really cares for the dogs he's working with. And she is responding great! This is the 2nd dog Shelly' s school has trained for me and I will continue to use them and recommend them in the future!

Scott trained my Jake and he is a better behaved dog. Scott is patient and kind but more importantly a great trainer. My observations of Scott showed knowledge and kindness. My Jake was a very stubborn student but Scott worked with him successfully! The entire training staff is kind and knowledgeable. I would recommend Scott and this school for pet training as my first choice!! They do love dogs and the dogs do love them!!👍

Terrible experience. My dog got extremely sick while staying here despite their claims that they have high end bacteria fighting lights. Also, they were not transparent at all about the training process. I was led to believe the head trainer was training my puppy, only to discover he wasn’t. They never seemed happy to give me updates. And despite dropping 4,000 dollars on training, my dog only responds on the leash. Yes. It’s great he walks on a leash. But he needs to be able to respond to commands off a Leash. When I shared these concerns with them, they blamed it on me and my lack of commitment to getting trained. I paid for my dog to get trained, not for myself??? This is a complete waste of money. My dog is still sick and I regret spending so much money on a company so quick to charge you for extras and blame anyone but themselves for their failures.

This place is truly amazing! My 4 year old golden retriever is such a love bug but gets easily distracted. I brought her to Shelly’s and I can’t believe the improvement. Her trainer Josh is a godsend. He’s so good with her and with me and has helped me so much with her. He and the rest of the staff really do love their jobs! I would like recommend this place to everyone who has dogs!!

So I have very high hopes for get basic foundational training for our rescue dog. I picked them because of trust that they have trained a lot of dogs and that focused full board training will get our dog to a better state so that we can do advanced and agility training. I completely understand that dogs will need consistent training even after they are trained so that they can learn to listen to us. Here is my big disappointment with this whole training process. We discussed a long list of things we wanted our dog to do (basically ability to pass urban canine good citizen test). - three weeks back home with us doing several training sessions with our dog...I have not seen a marked improvement certainly not worth the thousands of dollars we spent. If we were to take him for the test he would fail 90 percent of it. One of the big reasons I sent our dog to green leaf for training was so that he can be socialized with dogs, have a proper structured training but much to our disappointment I don’t think the dog spent any time with other dogs, he was trained mostly in confined structured space. I don’t believe he was trained outside at all. I was also disappointed that you are forced to sign the contract after dog comes back saying that you are satisfied with the training. Without this signing you would not get the sessions with the trainers. Lastly I was highly disappointed that Shelly never called back to discuss my concerns. I think the staff is responsive and likely took good care of our dog. Trainer has been helpful and have been responsive but overall I don’t believe our expectations were met. In hindsight I should have spent more time to get details of training and what is covered rather than relying on trusting the phone conversation to sign up for training. I did read the reviews of others and probably should have learned to ask in writing more details of training. My advice to others considering this training: - do ask for a lot more details of training in writing - do ask what is covered and not covered - ask for a review and end goal delivery of what to expect - set clear expectation for goals and ensure it’s in writing that those goals will be met My advice to Green Leaf: - be clear about what you will be teaching the dog and what is expected - be transparent about the training process - be upfront on what the owner can expect for example if you had told me that our dog won’t get to socialize with other dogs it would have been nice to discuss that upfront rather than saying yes they will be socialized. - please be responsive to concerns of the owners At the end, it has been disappointing experience overall and a very expensive lesson for us to learn:(

We brought our dog Stella to Shelly's for on leash training because she was very hard to handle while walking her. Matt was our trainer, he did an amazing job with her, we were so impressed the way Stella responded to Matt and then to us. truly a great experience

I rescued a 1 year old deaf Australian Shepard from Kentucky ..... Eli was out of control with my other 2 dogs... If I had 10 ceilings in the house, he would have jumped off of each of the ceilings, including the furniture.... Since I had my 2 other dogs in Shelly's previous training classes, I decided to bring Eli in for an evaluation. Shelly told me that they will work with him on basic commands and then Eli will eventually get a vibrating collar so we can communicate with him...... WOW what a difference it has been. Both Shelly and Scott did wonders with Eli and I am very pleased :) Eli is now done with the training and Scott assured me that if Eli needs some refresher in the future, just call and set up an appointment..... I don't know what I would have done if Eli still was out of control..... I thank you Scott and Shelly ........

I absolutely recommend this place. They treat your pets as there own. I have been coming in for awhile to get Buddy's Nail and Bath done. He is always happy when going and happy coming home. I have a very anxious dog when he leaves my home. But if we're going here he just gets super excited! I am very impressed with the boarding! They literally are the best! Highly recommend Timberlane! We have a tough dog to handle, they have been grooming her for years. The drop off and pick ups are always efficient and professional. The staff is truly appreciated.

We found this place by luck and glad we did. We left our dog and cat at their care for 2-weeks this past June and last week was their second stay for 7 days.. our cat is easy going but our dog, a skittish 32 pound rescue from PR who is a picky eater to begin; was our main concern -as she will go on hunger strikes. Surprisingly she has done better in their care than with family members! Both times- they looked great when we pick them up. No issues. We are glad we found Timberlane- we have peace of mind knowing they are well taken care of and that to us is priceless. Next vacay is not until March and Dexter Wilson and Lily Belle will be back.

I was away for nearly a month and left my two dogs with Timberlane Kennels. My dog is dog-selective and my foster dog takes a while to warm up to people because he was an abuse case—both are amazing dogs but of course I was nervous leaving them for so long. I cannot express enough gratitude or trust in Timberlane Kennels for not only taking care of my dogs but keeping me updated with pictures and helping them enjoy their stay away from home. Timberlane is a heaven sent for those with dogs who don’t do well in “doggie daycare” situations. Scott, the owner, and his employees are well versed on canine body language and I fully trust them with my dogs when I’m away going forward; it makes one less worry when I’m away to know that they are in the best hands for when I return!!

Not only is our golden Juno so happy after her stay at Timberlane but she looks amazing !! Their grooming services are the best around. I drive from Mendham in Morris county because no one does it better. Thanks, Jennifer !

Our 2 Rotti's Alabama and Tony were at Timberlane for 10 days. They were happy, healthy and received love and attention. Highly recommend!

We recently started going there with my GSD after getting nothing but good reviews from friends in the area that have used them. They took great care of my dog and attended to her issues like medications and feeding. They have a grooming as well so it's nice to pick up my dog at the end of a stay freshly washed and groomed!

So thankful for Timberlane Kennels -- our rescue pup Cardi B stayed there for the first time while we were away and I am just so impressed. She is very fearful of strangers and new places -- but she warmed up to Scott and the staff enough to even get a bath and nail trim before coming home! Shocked - and impressed. Glad we have somewhere clean and safe for when we are away. And she's never smelled better :)

Our 5 year old collie, Ruby, spent two wonderful weeks at Timberlane Kennels last month. I was quite nervous leaving her as she has never been in a kennel but Scott assured me all would be fine. And he was right. She came home to us all clean, fluffy and happy…we hope to return again soon!

We have 3 big dogs of varying ages with unique personalities, and they were well taken care of in our home. They all get so stressed at the kennel, it is wonderful to get home to them all being happy and relaxed. Highly recommend the staff and service. 😁😁😁 …

I would recommend A Door A Pet to everyone who is very attached to their pets ! We are very attached to our dog Rafa and cat Huling and don’t leave them often with new people. It was our 35th wedding anniversary and we wanted to go to Paris but we’re not sure if we could find someone to care for our pets. Dear Cindy, I just came across this article I wrote after Xantippe, nicknamed Tippie, passed away on 3/10/2023. I don't think I ever sent it to you. Tippie, 14 years old, was the runt of the litter. She was very much a scaredy cat. She was rarely seen by visitors as she quickly dis-appeared to her favorite hiding place and didn't appear until long after they left. When I traveled I originally boarded her at a cat motel. She was always lethargic and not eating when I picked her up. My vet suggested the pet sitter, Cindy, owner of A-Door-A Pet. When I came home the first time after using Cindy, Tippie seemed very happy. During the night, when I was getting out of bed, I stepped on something. I put the light on and saw that she actually had taken all her toys from under her cat tree and lined them up from the side of the bed across the hallway and up to the commode. This was the first and only time but I knew that she was happy with her new cat sitter. Betty Rieur

I have been a client since 2016. Cody knows where we going as soon as make the U turn on Rt 130. I live in NY now still bring Cody to see Melissa and Cheryl. Cheryl is the best groomer I know and she and staff treat the animals in their care with like family. Cody sometimes has be carried out to my car when checking out after a stay because he loves stay here. Keep up the great work.

What a wonderful place, my girls have a great experience every time I board them at Best Friends Pet Hotel. Everyone is kind and treat my girls as their own. I also love having the opportunity to watch them play on the petcam. My girls are excited when they arrive, they get so much exercise running around with all of the other fur babies all week they end up coming home and sleep all day long. Best friends always takes care of our pups. They do a great job grooming and always tell us how it went. I would definitely recommend them for your grooming and boarding needs. They are reasonably priced compared to other groomers and boarders in our area.
