My little puppies love it here!! They have been to Little Ponderosa the past 3 days, the past two days, they run to the front door! They do tours on Monday/Tuesday too! My favorite part of the day now is getting pictures of my little babies playing 😍 …

They are extremely pet oriented here. Our dogs love going here and the prices are reasonable for what you get. Oh, and our dogs have their first album coming out soon!

We have boarded our Bongo at Little Ponderosa for several nights, as well as taken him for Doggie Daycare on a few occasions. Bongo has gotten his nails trimmed there twice as well. He is so excited to see his human and dog friends there. I love the messages and pictures the staff sends us to let us know our pup is doing fine and having fun. Great staff and clean facility!

Could not have any better place for our Brandi to visit. Perfect for all of your pets needs. Boarding, Daycare and not to mention Annette's training! Brandi also loves her baths and nail treatments!

This is the BEST kennel we have ever used and we are so grateful to have found them!!! We have owned multiple Australian Cattle Dogs, and our current dog Bailey can be a handful. We struggled for several years trying to find a kennel that would love Bailey and understand the nature of this breed. Multiple kennels didn't work out. But from the get go, the team at the Ponderosa has not only made it work, but they love our dog Bailey, they play with him regularly (he needs lots of exercise), they send us photos, and he is happy and healthy when we pick him up! The Ponderosa is great with all dogs, they adapt their services to meet the needs to insure the best care possible. Each dog has lots of room to play, with and indoor/outdoor kennel and play yards. We are so grateful for the Ponderosa -- to finally have peace of mind knowing our special needs dog is safe and happy. Thank you so much to the owners and staff. We love you guys!

We have been bringing our year old Lab rescue to Little Ponderosa for daycare. The staff is wonderful and it's easy to see that they enjoy their job and are great with the dogs. Additionally, it's the cleanest kennel I've ever been in. Our boy is always happy from a day of play there.

Harley, our Springer Spaniel, loves his visits to Little Ponderosa. He jumps out of the car, runs into the office and heads back to the boarding area without a backward glance. He loves the play time and we love seeing the pictures the staff sends of him playing with other dogs. We appreciate knowing he is happy and well cared for while we are out of town.

Doolittle so appreciates the warm greeting and (name) recognition when we goes for a stay. You can add on services (bath, nails, etc) to be done upon your return and daily reports are sent so you can "oooh" and "awww" over your pet enjoying his or her stay.

Our dogs love Little Ponderosa Pet Resort! We love the fact that they send daily photos of your pets having a great time! We can go on vacation and know they are well taken care of!❤️

We just finished the premiere puppy program, and it was wonderful!! Beverly is a fantastic trainer and really took the time to make sure I understood what I needed to do for our puppy! I couldn't recommend her enough!!

I use The Well-Trained Dog & Pet Care For training and dog walking. We've had a great experience with training. Beverly has met us where we are at and provided helpful tips and feedback. She’s flexible with scheduling and has great follow up. I’m most impressed with my dog walkers! my dogs get walked 2x a day 3x a week! The photos provided always show them happy or out exploring! I love hearing about their new animal encounters and antics they get into. Scheduling is easy and report cards provided. I specifically would like to express my gratitude for the care provided during the recent tropical storms. Instead of canceling when there was a flood warning and intermittent tornado warnings. They still came and looked after my dogs. The service they provide is top-notch and they go above and beyond. Thank you!

We LOVE the team at “The Well-Trained Dog and Pet Care.” We worked with them to train our puppy in 2019 and have had them pet sit for us for the past 5 years. They are so reliable and you can book/pay online!

Beverly and her crew do a fantastic job of caring for your pets. Feeding, scooping, and providing details from each visit. Very comforting to know your critters are in good hands when you can't be there for them.

I can not say enough positive things about Beverly and her help with my new dog! She is patient and explains things to you to help you understand your dog better. Because of her, I was able to teach my boy with a better understanding of his ways. Bev comes to your home environment, which is the best way to teach. She came with us on our trail walk and even met us at Home Depot to guide us through meeting people. I highly recommend the Well-Trained Dog!

I especially want to praise Julie for the relationship she built with my dog over the weeks. I’m a travel nurse, so we all knew unfortunately the dog walks for Izzy would come to an end. It was sad for all of us. I could clearly see how much Izzy loved Julie and it was truly heart warming to see someone care for my dog and love her the way I do. She was great!

We have an Australian Shepherd. He is a little over 6 months old. He was a wild puppy. Then we found Beverly from The Well Trained Dog. She was wonderful and told us a lot about his breed that we didn’t know. He now sits, comes when called, gives you five, shakes and lays down. I can’t believe how far he has come. Our trainer Beverly is very dependable, and really works well with our dog. She also let us borrow a few games and training gear. Would highly recommend.

I highly recommend Beverly Amsler of the Well Trained Dog and Pet Care. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and how best to train different breeds. I have a small havapoo which, given her small size, means some exercises had to adjusted for her. My dog loved working with Beverly and I think would have gone home with her if that was an option. I now have the basics for continued training to have a Well trained dog.

We have been using Sugarfoot Kennel for over 3 years. Our two Aussies love it there. Kathy Morck and her staff are excellent. The facility is very clean. The kennel is designed by professionals and it shows. I give them 5 stars.

First time using Sugarfoot Kennels. The kennel we had been using for past 11 years went out of business due to Covid, so met with owner, Kathy, and after talking with her and touring the kennel, the deal was closed and we boarded our dog with her. And we are glad we did because the 3rd day our pet was there, she became sick triggered by her fear of violent thunderstorms. Kathy went the extra mile, took our pet to our vet and with the quick and personal intervention, our pet is fine. Strongly recommend this dog kennel

While Maintaining Sugar Foot Kennels property, I can say this, Kathy works hard to care for your dogs, she keep the kennels super clean and the property is kept up to top notch. If you had to take your dog anywhere this is the place, settled in the prettiest property in goodveiw.

Highly recommended!! I wouldn't trust many with the care of my babies. But kathy is the best! She cares for all the animals like her own.

Here is my updated review. We have been extremely happy with boarding our 45 lb dog. She is calm after being kenneled and did well with her first professional bath! She is happy to go every time and is making her first dog friends. When house sitters cancel and dog walkers are busy, Klub Kanine is there!

I have been taking my Golden Retriever here for daycare consistently for two months. He loves daycare and enjoys socializing and playing with his “friends”. The staff is friendly and cares about each dog. I highly recommend Klub Kanine and Barkley and Rover to anyone who works full-time and is considering daycare options in the Roanoke Valley.

We have been bringing Murphy here since he was approximately 6 months old. He started on the Klub Kanine side and they made him welcomed with open arms and loved. Fast forward to him presently at the age of two on the Barkley and Rover side. To say that my sweet boy is super excited to come to daycare everyday would be an understatement. The employees are so sweet and friendly. The genuinely seem to care about him and love to see him when he gets there every morning. Currently the daycare is going through some renovations and I am so very excited to see what changes will occur to benefit all the sweet pups. Keep up the GREAT work and thank you for loving our dogs!!!!

Klub K-9 kept my little weiner dog happy and healthy while we were on a week long vacation. They were extremely accommodating seeing as we had to book last minute due to our pet-sitter bailing out. I've never had to board my puppy before, but the employees were so very kind and made everything as smooth as possible for us and our fur-baby. Highly appreciated and Highly recommend! We will be booking him a stay there again in the very near future 😀 🙌 👍

Barkley and Rover is a great place. My dog has boarded there and also goes to play. She is hyper and not very open to anyone who is not me, but they have made huge strides getting her to come around, and she enjoys her time there and comes home completely exhausted. Kudos to the team at Barkley and Rover, they are kind, considerate and friendly to everyone. Its like taking my dog to a family member. The owners have amassed a great group of people! Thank you!!!!

We love taking our dog to get groomed here! Brittany has been so wonderful with our dog Luna. I always know that she will be completely taken care of and she is always so sweet with her. Always happy with her hair cut and they are great not to keep her too long which I love!

My Doberman just started coming here. These are the nicest, most professional people I've dealt with in a long time. It is obvious they care about all of the dogs. My dog is worn out when he gets home and is so happy and that's all that matters to me. Bravo to the owners / managers and to the staff for being top notch. I'm so glad I found this place.

Our dog struggles with reactivity, resource guarding, and anxiety, and finding boarding for her is a constant challenge. Ann Marie agreed to meet with us and give our dog a try when nobody else in the area would. She took the time to meet with us on multiple occasions to create positive associations and get a feel for how to best handle our dog. Ultimately, we had a successful 5 day boarding experience! Thank you Ann Marie and team for all that you do!

I had to board my dog for the first time ever and he had the best experience. Every person I interacted with was so kind and helpful. I did almost all my communication by e-mail and they were very responsive and helpful. Even with my appointment being very late notice and having to move it a day. They never acted like it was a burden and were always willing to help. I really cannot say enough how much it meant to deal with people who were so warm and welcoming. It really helped alleviate my anxiety of boarding my boy. I would certainly recommend this kennel.

We have used County Air Vacation Kennels exclusively since 2017 and our beloved dogs have received exceptional care there. Both my husband and I could not recommend Country Air more highly. The owner and staff are keenly attuned to the health and well-being of the dogs they care for. Roanoke is lucky to have such facility.

Country Air Vacation Kennels has been AMAZING to me and my dog, Conan. Conan is not friendly to people other than his own family and I wasn’t sure if I’d ever find a kennel to care for him when we vacationed. Ann-Marie has been a true skilled professional from the beginning. She took a chance with Conan and has taken great care of him for the last 3 years every time we have needed her. I can’t give her enough stars here!

Ask them about their training option, it's absolutely worth it! Such a wonderful place and fantastic owner. The location is also magnificent, it's much better than in a city setting. The dogs get near-constant attention, and stimulation. My dog was a little nervous at first, but when I came back she didn't want to leave. Update: I've used this fine outfit for several months now, because my dog absolutely loves them! She knows as soon as I turn onto the road that she's in for a fun little vacation with her doggo friends, and a staff that truly cares. 6/5 stars, you can rest easy knowing nothing bad will happen to your furry friends.

I cannot say enough good things about Country Air Vacation Kennels. I first met Anne-Marie when my dog trainer was looking for well-trained, low-energy dogs for my dog to socialize with. My dog was never properly socialized as a puppy and was fearful of almost everything, including humans and other dogs. Anne-Marie brought in the perfect dog to compliment my nervous one. Well-trained, well-behaved, polite, and low-energy. Then, when I was looking for a boarding place, a friend of mine told me to check out Country Air because they had such good experiences there in the past. Surprise surprise, Anne-Marie was the person running it! I was incredibly nervous to leave my dog there, as I hadn't boarded her before and because by nature my dog is incredibly scared and nervous. Ann-Marie did absolutely everything to make me and my dog feel comfortable, up to and including allowing me to check in on my dog multiple times to make sure she was okay. My dog even surprised me and ended up making friends with some of the more low-energy dogs while I was away! I've left my dog at Country Air twice now and every time I am blown away with how much time and care they put into the animals they oversee. I am and will continue to be a repeat customer here. If you are nervous about leaving your dog for the first time (or even the 100th time), just know that your dog is safe in their capable, caring hands.

Rural kennel but not too far out. Owner and employees are super friendly. I have boarded my dog twice and the whole process was smooth. The dogs have some play time everyday so I paid extra to have my dog bathed. We will be going back!

Country Air Kennels is a caring and affordable boarding option for Roanoke area residents. The new owner is a certified dog trainer and groomer and makes certain that our dogs are well taken care of and safe while they are staying at the kennel. We have 3 dogs and have used Ann-Marie’s private boarding services for years prior to her purchase of Country Air and have never been anything but pleased with her level of customer service. Our dogs are always excited to go see her and tired from playing and having fun when we get them back! My mom also uses Country Air for her dog and the staff was kind and flexible when she needed to change her return date due to weather issues this past January. A hidden jewel in the Roanoke Valley.

I love this place. I have been bringing my dog chip (2 year old dachshund) for the past year and he has been having a blast. He has made so many friends and every time I get off work and come pick him up he is just the happiest pup in the world. I recently took a vacation out of the country and I trusted them with everything in me to take care of my dog. I called a couple of times to check on him and was told he was going great! Which I was so happy to hear as he means the world to me. Chip will keep enjoying their daycare and the prices are so reasonable. I am very grateful to have been recommended this place as all the other ones I have tried didn’t treat their dogs the best. I highly recommend lakeforest I have even spoken to the manager personally about my concerns and she was just a delight and the staff are all so welcoming and sweet. For a dog kennel they always manage to make it smell so clean and refreshing. It has just been the best experience chip and I have had. ❤️

I have boarded my dog here and taken them to the next door vet for years and they have never done me wrong! My dog always comes back happy and is just as excited when he comes back to play with his kennel friends. Lexy and the whole staff are super kind and make me feel like family.

We had several ok experiences with Lake Forest Boarding, but the most recent one has spoiled it all. We have a very friendly golden doodle who we trusted in the care of Lake Forest for just over a week while we were away on a summer vacation. We booked him for playtime everyday as well as a kennel bath on the last day. We were called a few days before pick up to inform us that they were not going to be able to give him a bath, not a huge deal. We picked him up, prepared for the stinky pup that we have come to expect after 10 days of running and playing in a boarding facility with other dogs. Instead, he smelled like the shampoo we had him groomed with just days before we dropped him off. After reviewing his check sheet, it became clear that he did not have time out of the kennel each day, or even most days. It was documented that he had one afternoon in playtime. Upon further investigation, his check sheet was signed off that he was given food on days he was not even there while it was not initialed that he was fed and walked every day that he was there. Thank goodness he didn’t require medication, because who knows if/when he had been given any medication. When we brought this to their attention, we were given several different stories and the blame was continuously passed onto someone else. The only resolution was that we were not going to have to pay for the playtime that he did not receive… We did not drop our dog off to spend 10 days trapped in a kennel alone. I am very concerned with how Lake Forest looks after for the pets we trust in their care. We will absolutely not be using this boarding facility in the future, and would not recommend this kennel to anyone who wants their pet to be appropriately cared for while they are away.

Horrible! Cole answered the phone, and was told they do not accept new patients, however they advertise at that. I was referred to by a previous customer who will no longer be going as well, due to the rudeness of Cole. I was told to give them a call, as the other groomer was having car trouble, and was told to call and get the other groomer to take my puppy, and he told me that that’s not possible, as there is not room, and they are not taking new clients. You need to inform your groomers of that, before accepting others and giving false information! If one is accepting, and the other says the whole team isn’t accepting? Then who is lying. Cole has horrible customer service, and shouldn’t be able to communicate with customers if he can’t get his facts straight.

A+ All Around Had my dog groomed and boarded many times over a five years until his passing of liver cancer. They are a caring and compassionate business.

I have been taking my 3 1/2 year old German shepherd dog to Lake Forest boarding, daycare and grooming for well over 2 years. She goes at least 4 days a week, either full or 1/2 days. I feel so lucky to have this wonderful place to take my dog. She is so well taken care of by the highly competent, professional, friendly staff. The entire staff is knowledgeable about animal behavior, socialization, training, playtime, etc. If there are any concerns, someone will call me right away. In all of the time we have taken our dog to Lake Forest for boarding or daycare, we have not had a single bad day. The fact that they offer half days at half price is convenient and economical. The facility is clean and sanitized every day. All of the staff love the dogs and have their best interests in mind. They are open 7 days a week, which helps those clients who work on Sundays. I honestly don't know what I would do without this wonderful place and the people who work there. I highly recommend Lake Forest to anyone who needs a warm, friendly, caring place to take their beloved pets.

Very impressed with this boarding facility! The employees are polite and helpful and remembered my dogs after just one visit! They also offer unscheduled tours of the facility and that transparency made me feel so much more comfortable. My dogs are always excited to go go here and come home tired from running and playing! Highly recommend!

I hesitated to write this review and wanted to give our dog a week to re-adjust to being home but her behavior has not changed. The first time we took our dog here and came to pick her up she came home with a wagging tail! This past time we picked up our dog, the worker brought our dog out with her collar on incorrectly and her head was down with no tail wagging. She seemed very unhappy which is unlike our dog who enjoys meeting new people and playing with other dogs. Since we have brought her home, her behavior has been different. She doesn't like to be cuddled now and is very jumpy when you go to pet her until she realizes it's one of us. We called to ask if anything had happened and of course the response was no, we proceed to ask what their daily routine is at the kennel and could not be provided with one. If I was provided with some information about her stay (i.e how she interacted with the other dogs, if she ate all of her food, how long she played outside, anything), I may have felt a little better about her stay but with no information it concerns me. I would not recommend this place if you want your dog to enjoy their time at a kennel, she was only there for two days she should not have been traumatized. I would like to note the vet at Lake Forest Animal Hospital, Dr. Holly, has been very responsive with trying to touch bases with us to figure out what has happened and has provided a few recommendations to help ease her anxiety. I do recommend Lake Forest Animal Hospital with five stars but we will be taking our dog to another kennel the next time she has to be boarded.

I want to thank CountrySide Kennel for all they did for my family when we had a medical emergency. Their kindness was unprecedented, as they took in our four dogs (one a puppy) and our cat at the last minute. They were so helpful and understanding and went way above and beyond to accommodate us. They kept us updated on my pets welfare. They were so compassionate with our situation and took AMAZING care of my pets. I highly recommend CountrySide Kennel, the kennel was immaculate and the dogs extremely well cared for!! 5 + stars

Nick and everyone else at CountrySide were great. My dog Rocky had his own large area and got a ton of outdoor time and personal attention from the staff, I know he will be excited the next time he gets dropped off. He even got a free bath because of the length of his stay. Their prices are great and I will definitely go to them from now on

Oscar had such a great time at Countryside. They were very accommodating with diet and grooming. They recognized that he has a ritchy rear end and what doggie doesn’t? He had a bath and a nail trim with Dremel and he looks so handsome. I really can’t recommend this boarding/daycare highly enough. Nick and Deborah truly love four legged furry friends and it shows.

Our boy Maxx stayed for 6 days. The staff is excellent and the cost is affordable. If the need arises again, they will be our first choice for boarding. He got a bath while there too.

First time leaving my girls, I was a bit nervous. But they all seemed to have done well. Everyone working there is extremely nice, when I pulled in there was someone in the yard playing ball with one of the boarders. Would definitely recommend and will use them again!

This is a nice facility out in the country (hence the name). Prior to leaving our dog here I went and took a tour. The owner, Nick, seemed very knowledgeable and has invested in quality kennels. He seems to give each dog a lot of personal attention. I was anxious about leaving our 2 year old German Shepherd, but when we picked up he seemed happy and was in great shape.

I have a 6 year old, high energy, high anxiety Australian shepherd so I'm often worried where I board her at. Countryside boarding was amazing! I trusted them with my baby, got regular picture updates, and she even got a complimentary bath at the end of her week stay. They were very accommodating with all of my dogs quirks and anxiety triggers. I really felt the owner and team were compassionate and cared a lot about the wellbeing of the animals and weren't just looking to make money doing the bare minimum like some boarding facilities. The facility was very very clean and they allowed tours of the whole place before hand. They are just starting out and there isn't many reviews but don't let that deter you, I can't recommend them enough!

I am a newly transplanted resident of Va. from Pennsylvania. So I needed to obtain services for my furry family that would be professional and affordable. I'd scheduled a cruise and needed caretakers for my 2 cats. After research and recommendations I chose Carvins Cove Bed & Biscuit. They informed me during a visitation before boarding,that they are moving and remodeling the cat boarding area which in my opinion was already sufficient. They stated a change of location was warranted because they had noticed the felines being uncomfortable near the cacophany of the canines boarding area. The consideration of the boarders comfort convinced me of their empathy of the pets. During the cruise, narratives and pictures were texted to me that assured me of the well being of my cats. I cannot begin to describe how they went out of their way to make their lengthy stay more than tolerable. After a 12 day stay, I picked up my cats and observed that they were in great condition and good spirits. As a matter of fact, when they'd arrived home, they appeared to be searching for and missing Emily. I'm elated that CCB&B will be the home away from home when needed. Thankyou Blair, Emily and staff!

Highly recommend! This is the only place I’ve ever left my Bloodhound! It’s a beautiful place and the owners are friendly. My pup got car sick on the way in and they helped me with cleaning supplies to clean my Jeep. When I took her back she was very excited to go in which reassured that she’d had a great experience before! Great place!

We had to board our nervous 8 month old German Shepherd for the weekend. The young man working made friends with her. We appreciate the extra effort he took to make her comfortable. Great place to go if you need to board your fur baby.

Easy check in/out. My dog was happy and well cared for!

I would recommend touring the place before picking it. I'm not saying anything bad about the place. I would call to check on my dogs & had to wait until they called me back. But both dogs came home fine. I think if I had toured it I would've felt more comfortable. The owner just didn't make you feel very welcome.

Easy to work with and quick to respond. They had my black lab for around two weeks while I was traveling internationally and they gave multiple updates without being asked to. My dog was in excellent shape when I returned.

Excellent Dog Walker and Pet Sitter Drew has been walking our dog five days a week for over a year. He also takes care of our dog at home when we travel. He is trustworthy, reliable, and excellent with our dog. Our dog enjoys his walks so much that he sits in front of the door for an hour each morning waiting for Drew’s arrival! Drew has always treated him with great kindness. He clearly loves what he does and it shows. I have recommended him to all my friends who own dogs. Thank you, Drew!

Drew is a wonderful blessing in our lives. He has been caring for our Labrador since she was a puppy and I couldn't be happier with the service he provides. Our dog loves him and is always so excited to see him! He is a hard worker, very professional, incredibly courteous and conscientious and always positive and upbeat, even when the weather is less than pleasant. He does a great job communicating with me about each walk and any concerns he has about her. It is evident how much he cares about her and the high level of pride he takes in his work. Drew has been walking my Beagle, Katy, for about two years. Katy adores him. He's very careful to walk her the way I want, and double checks when the weather is inclement. He takes a spray bottle with water on very hot days to spray her to keep her cool. He is always upbeat, no matter the weather, and always asks if there is anything else he can do.

We have used Drew Kinnier, who owns Dogs Doo It, for years. Our wire fox terrier, Finn, adores Drew. He is kind & courteous & extremely reliable. He has watched Finn for a week or more & for shorter weekend trips. We have him come four times a day because terriers, if you have one you will know this, need a LOT of exercise & Finn is quite spoiled & needs a lot of attention, too. Drew spends quality time walking Finn in our neighborhood. He is gentle & even tempered. Finn doesn’t like wearing a harness so we use a lead on his collar & that makes it more important that who ever walks him is gentle & doesn’t pull or yank on the lead. Terriers can also be strong willed and again, kindness wins the day. We also feed Finn a raw diet which takes a bit more time than kibble &Drew handles it with ease. We have known Drew most of his life & we highly recommend him. I would be happy to answer your questions if you dm me.

I could not be more pleased with the service provided! My pup is happy and excited everytime Drew visits. Not to mention the added bonus of knowing that no matter how busy my schedule, my dog always receives attention. I would happily recommend this service to any of my friends. If you are looking for a vacation stay for your beloved companion while you yourself need to get away, then this is the place. Do you have a little dog who does not want to be around the big dogs? No problem they have their very own cozy cottage. Do you have a big dog that needs to unload energy? No problem they have their very own large play area. Do you have training issues and need a professional guidance? No problem the owner is a certified trainer who loves all types of dogs and is absolutely amazing. Are there days when you just do not have enough time to play with your pet and would like him/her to get socialization? No problem. They have doggie day care. There are many needs that the Bigger Brain can fulfill all you have to do is call and make an appointment. I absolutely love it there.

I can leave my two dogs at the Bigger Brain and know they are getting expert care. When I drop them off they run to the kennel gate with tails wagging. When I pick them up, they are relaxed and clean. Debbie knows dogs and gives great attention to knowing yours. Can't recommend enough.

My two dogs were cared for as if they were their own. Well cared for facility with lots of room for the dogs to run and play. I also loved that they allowed them to kennel together. One of my dogs is a rescue dog with high anxiety, if he had to be in a kennel alone, I wouldn't have enjoyed my vacation worrying about him. It was a great experience, we will definately return!

We took five dogs to board. When we got home, we picked up only four. One of our dogs had bloat in the past. We advised the owner of this fact and explained how important it was to use a ball in his dog bowl to make him slow down when eating. While we were gone we received a call advising us that our dog was dying! The owner wanted to know if we wanted to spend additional money on a “sinking ship.” He was a member of our family! Not any kind of ship! We advised her to take him to the vet. We received a call from the vet letting us know that there wasn’t any hope. We suspect what happened is that the ball was never used; he ended up with bloat again; the owner didn’t recognize the signs of bloat; and she waited too long to take our precious Luca to the vet. If you value your dog’s life, don’t take them to this kennel!

Our pups are always happy to go here! We used to go to a nearby kennel but felt the owner sometimes hard to work with. Debbie is also so friendly and accommodating and our dogs are well cared for.

We, and our dogs have relied on The Bigger Brain and it’s proprietor, Debbie Duttenhofer, for at least 15 years (through several locations). Blitzen loves going to Miss Debbie’s and we always feel very secure in trusting Debbie and the BB staff with our most important family member!

Nice place and good service.

Went to take my dog this morning and was greeted by 4 employees who seemed to he fairly nice. As I went to hand off her leash to them, I asked a simple question. Is my dog going to be stuck in a crate all day? They said no until the older lady came at me rudely asking didn't you take a tour? I work every weekday until 5 so of course I didn't take a tour. Then she proceeds to tell me they are in crates 2 hours at a time with 30 minutes of playtime in between then back in the crates 2 hours again. As I'm telling them I don't think that's going to work for me she got offended as if I should be ok with paying 30 dollars a day for them to not watch her and leave her sitting alone scared in a crate for over half the time she is there. If you're looking for a doggie daycare, this isn't it I promise you, another place taking your money to lock your dog up and profit off of that. I could already hear all the dogs barking locked in crates already first thing this morning as I arrived. Tell me how this is good for them to be locked up first thing when they get there while all the employees stand at the front doing nothing? Keep your dogs at home before you bring them here. Complete junk

Training for agility competition, I really enjoy working with the trainer and learning how to communicate with my dogs to run the agility courses properly and safely.

Field of Dreams takes care of our little girl at day school and we have also enrolled and completed training classes with more in the future and hopefully agility training. The day school is great (Ryleigh told me) and the training is really effective. If you have a dog, try out Field of Dreams!!

I just want you to know if u bring ur dog here it will sit in a cage the whole day it's like a prison for dogs. I love how the website looks and how u think it would be but at any time there are 50 to 70 dogs there in cages run by 4 or 5 little kids. The dogs are rotated and get to play with other dogs for 1 hour. The kennels have no toys water bowls anything it's disgusting. Please don't bring ur dogs here if ur gonna pay someone to keep ur dog in a cage ur better off doing it yourself. Have videos of full rooms of dogs in smaller cages then they should be in just barking I honestly couldn't believe it was that disgusting and sick. It's like u see dogs in the spca cages. This is no different. You're gonna pay for ur dogs to sit in a cage all day. Pls bring them elsewhere the extra money is worth it I know a few dog daycare that actually are what they say. This place is trashy. Reminded me of a spca commercial with the dogs stuck in cages all day.

Field of Dreams is the cleanest, best doggie day care in southwest VA. They truly c a r e about your dog(s). Their happiness and safety are of prime concern while they are in their care. Five Stars

Personally I really do this place. I've just started picking my dog to the classes and we've had a really good time. People are very nice and it's just a very relaxed setting with you and your dog can learn at it piece of the hot dog to behave hats off to him. I'm looking forward to the upcoming classes and how it suggested to anybody that wants to train their dog properly

They are so amazing I have been recommending them to everyone. They have cute little report cards sent home that tell you who they played with and any one on one activities. Hours and price are so fair. The only problem is the pick up situation. Only one person at a time in the office to pick up dogs so if multiple people are there you have to wait behind a yellow line surrounding the door so in bad weather it will be unpleasant but it is in place for the dog’s safety so I totally get it. It just is tedious and sometimes time consuming so it’s better to be aware and prepared.

Wonderful trainers and staff. I've attended classes and done day school. They always follow up with emails which is more than expected. They really do care!

Great doggy daycare. They look after our little guy and he’s always pumped to go. We like how they are structured and reinforce manners. It’s not a free for all but your pup still gets plenty of exercise and stimulation.

Very helpful staff. Karen, the owner, is also really knowledgeable and has been a great resource for my wife and I as we begin training our first puppy together. We are in the puppy training classes. We plan on coming back for future classes as my pup grows up.
