Love this kennel. My pal stays here every time I leave town. He comes home clean, calm and happy. He has separation anxiety but this kennel works for him. He has his own, clean kennel space when he is there. I am so happy I found John after trying many other options.

I have used Cotten’s Sunset Kennels regularly and my dog continues to have excellent care. He always comes home happy and tail wagging. There have been several occasions when I called last minute and John has always worked with me to make sure my pup is taken care of. The kennels are very clean. All dogs have individual runs with access to both indoor and outdoor accessibility.

Outstanding in every way. We have boarded our dogs with them as well as had training. John and Allison always make you feel like family and are a joy to work with. We have attended the initial training classes and the off leash class as well. I highly recommend Cotten's Sunset Kennels to any one who wants a greater experience with their dog.

Their boarding kennel is always clean and safe for our dog and the service and availability they have is top notch in my book. I have also used their board and train services and it has made a world of difference in our house and for peace of mind while hunting. John is always open about training or any other dog-related questions I have had. Can’t say enough about their boarding, training, and overall service in the last couple years.

My cotton came from Allison and John. Almost a year since I was with my cotton. He is very gentle, smart and healthy. During the adoption process, Allison introduced new things to the puppies according to their developmental stage and did her best to ensure their health. Today I visit them again to get my cotton a little more trained. Highly recommended to those looking for a cotton puppy and a lovely small to medium sized dog!

We have one of Allison and John's Coton de Tulear puppies who is now 5 months. He is a treasure with a delightful personality, and very, very smart. We made a special arrangement with them to keep him in their home for an additional 9 weeks for potty training, crate training, and a solid foundation of obedience training...which they did! He came to us with a vocabulary of 9 commands that we are reinforcing to the best of our ability. Though still very much a puppy, Flash is already a family member and one of the best dogs we have had!

Great training, very helpful and willing to go above and beyond! A great experience with Rocky, he is progressing greatly and others talk about how well behaved he is. We have also boarded Rocky with them and he was well taken care of. I highly recommend them.

This was our first time ever leaving our dog (Copper) at a boarding kennel, so I was beyond nervous to drop him off. The second I saw John interact with Copper, all of my worry went away. It was such a relief knowing he was in good hands, and made our time away more relaxing. I strongly recommend using Cotten's Sunset Kennels to board your dog! We will be using them again in the future!

Not long ago I adopted three feral cats. A mother and her two kittens. I am retired and I like to travel, so I had Lakeshore Pet sitters care for my cats with overnight and some daytime visits during the 2 weeks I was gone. I was so worried to leave them, as they came to me with many illnesses and had only recently received a clean bill of health. However, Bethany did an exceptional job. She was very reliable, knowledgeable, experienced and highly respectful of my home. Bethany put me at ease by texting me daily pictures and messages about how my cats were doing. I couldn't be happier and I highly recommend this service provider.

I cannot sing the praises enough for what this organization does and has done for me and our furry kiddos. Bethany is amazing: talk about a cat whisperer!! She is such a hit with our furchildren (our 5-pack), and each time she visits with them she goes above and beyond. I know that when we are gone, everything will be just fine, which is a massive relief for any pet parent but also when you have a home with a security system and don’t have to worry about anything. Mail? Check. Blinds / curtains drawn or opened and lights turned on/off? Check. Litter tended to? You got it. But then the time and commitment to getting to know the kitties, to playing with and snuggling with them, based on their temperaments and needs. You typically can’t pay for that level of care or service, but with this company and with Bethany, you better believe it. We were gone for our longest (by far) holiday away and had zero concerns that all was well, even while we were on the other side of the globe. This peace of mind is priceless for me, and I’m eternally grateful. Also: she shows up with treats! And my cats know that when Bethany arrives, great (and tasty) things are in store for them. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!

PIT FRIENDLY 💕 Left my two dogs there for a couple days. they were able to share a run, which made them more comfortable. It was a clean facility. These folks are definitely animal lovers! They are sensitive about grooming too - they don't torture your pet to "get the job done" - they follow the animal's cues. My pups came back clean and in one piece. We will definitely be utilizing these facilities again!

Dog grooming was such a disappointment. No prices posts anywhere because ‘every dog is different’. There should be some kind of price list (price range) for dog sizes. I understand that ‘every dog is different’ but you don’t go to a human spa blind without knowing a price range (unless you are independently wealthy). I paid $140 dollars for a 2 hour job and my dog’s fur is much too short. He is a good natured dog with some matting. Not a $140 job by any means. I will never go back there again.

I brought my VERY dirty, 80 pound Great Pyrenees in for a grooming for her very first time ever. I didn’t even recognize her when I got her back. Ive never seen this dog so happy and so clean. She’s went from looking like a stray to looking like she should be in a beauty contest. They do such great work for a GREAT price. Thank you so much, my pup thanks you even more! We will be back!

We had our husky girls stay with Monkeyshine while attending Ferris State University graduation. They were welcomed very openly and loving. The girls took to the staff instantly. They loved it with them. We would go back if in the area again in the future. Thank you staff at Monkeyshine.

She even smelled great, unlike many other kennels when I've picked her up, and she smelled and was dirty. Drop off and pick up is seemless, and they have an amazing online reservation service through their website!

We were in the middle of a cross country move and April took great care of our dogs. She worked with us on our shifting schedule, set up visits, kept us updated on their Facebook. Our dogs were so happy and well taken care of. I just booked their 2nd stay.

My pups and I absolutely love Nature of the Dog! Jackie, Luke and the entire are wonderful, friendly, attentive and clearly care very much for all the dogs. I love the small play groups with attention to most compatible groups. I cannot recommend Nature of the Dog for daycare & boarding.

I send my dog there for day care daily and have used Nature of the Dog for boarding, and I cannot say enough great things about Jackie, Luke, their staff, and the facility! My dog is cared for and loved there, and I love that they get plenty of play time outside.

Puppies and not-so puppies love it. The way sessions are paid for you it’s have to plan well for your needs and make sure you understand conditions. At the GRR location is a little hectic right off M37 especially during drop off / pickup and rush hours.

Nature of the Dog is the best! Our very active and excitable golden needed a place that he could run and play under the supervision of experienced staff. Luke and Jackie take great care of him while boarding or durning the day for daycare. He always comes home tired and relaxed. I also really appreciate how they took the time to learn what kind of personality our dog has and how we have trained him. They work with him while he visits and make sure to reinforce positive behavior.

Well folks...we are happy to give this awesome, smaller boarding/doggie day care a "they've got it going on!" Nature of the Dog truly recognizes the nature if the dog. Boarding kennels are top notch and the owners know doggies (right down to keeping white noise going for dogs in their bedrooms waiting to rotate out into the play yard). Thumbs up to owner Luke. Relaxed, sweet atmosphere for visiting canine family members.

Great place to board your dog! My dog can sometimes struggle to get along with other dogs especially with toys nearby and they were very accommodating to this. They introduced him slowly and he felt comfortable enough to play with other pups! We hoped they would post more pictures of him while he was there but overall, a great experience!

Great place! James does a great job of taking care of our girl and is very caring. One of Millie's stays, we had brought one of her bigger stuffy's that she was obsessed with, it had got torn open and James went the extra mile to sew it up for her so she could continue having it during her stay. We were shocked when he told us, and knew he would always have our business. He takes care of your dogs like his own!

James is so caring and good with our pup! Jojo gets excited as soon as we get close while still in the vehicle and runs right in to see James as soon as he's let out of the car! It's such a relief to know that Jojo is in such good care while we're at work!

New and clean facility. James was wonderful with our dog, Freya! She was miserable after coming home from the previous kennel. After J's, she was happy and relaxed when she came home. We were so pleased with our pup's first (not last!) stay at J's. She was incredibly well cared for. The place is clean, the owner attentive, and our girl came home immediately settling in instead of being a wreck for a couple of days. Awesome place - so glad to have found it.
