Andrea is amazing! My friend and I have two little dogs. We have needed to board and find daycare for them on short notice. She was able to easily accommodate us, and give fair pricing. Much more importantly, however, is how she treats the dogs. It is very apparent she loves animals and spends the day caring for and entertaining them. They have an awesome yard to run around in, and comfortable places to lounge inside. She always sends pictures and photos, and gives a detailed report of how their day went. We can tell our dogs had a great time whenever we go to pick them up. Her effort goes above and beyond. Thank you Andrea, you have a repeat client for whenever we are in Alaska!

I'd like to address the "review " left by someone who did not use my services, but took our conversation out of context completely! I do not allow any dog roam freely while under my care! They all have GPS tackers for easing my clients minds so they at all times can see where and how well thier pet is doing....you can ask any of my other clients how they feel about my level of care and attention paid to your animals...Shame folks just want to ruin other people's business without ever even using thier services...

My fur baby loved it here! She got interaction with other dogs as well as exercise and puzzle time. We loved the service and she treats your pets like family. 10/10 recommend this place to anyone!

This place is the best place one could leave their dog! My dogs always have smiles on their faces and like it so much that when I pick them up they loiter around to get a few more loves from Andrea. She takes great care of them, as well as finds fun activities for them to do. Pictures are sent throughout the stay and you can tell they are having a great time. I appreciate finding a good place for the dogs to be well care for. Andrea has an affinity for animals and it is certainly noticeable. This is my first choice for doggy daycare. Thank you so much for taking great care of man’s/my best friend!

Andrea has a wonderful house with lots of room for dogs to play and run. She is conscientious about keeping pets safe and keeps a tracking device on their collar for the duration of their stay. It’s fun to see the generated map of where our dog had been running and playing all day. She is also very communicative, and sent photos of our dog throughout her stay. Andrea definitely enjoys dogs and takes care of them like they are her own. We were not interested in a large kennel operation which may have stressed out our pup. Her home is relaxed and inviting, and her critter guests are welcome to make themselves right at home. I definitely recommend Andrea, Critter Sitter, as a good option for short term and long term pet stays.

I went to check out Critter Sitters. I thought Andrea was delightful, but I did not feel comfortable using her services. Just to let everyone know, she will outfit your dog with a GPS collar because your dog is free to come or go out the doggie door on the property. There is a back yard, but your dog will not necessarily be kept there. They will be free to roam. They can walk down the driveway and down the road to the highway. So, that means roaming by the river or the road, with possible encounters with bears or moose too. I have a two year old Labrador / German shepherd / cattle dog /border collie mix that will run and chase and explore, even when in mine and my husband's control. We took her to Cook State Park and she took off after birds in the surf and ran for about two miles. She came back covered in muck. Another time, on Funny River, she took off on a runabout chasing squirrels. It is in her personality to run and explore. She crouches down like a border Collie and then she's gone off running. So, Andrea tried to convince me that this won't happen while under her care. But if it does, that's why she'll be outfitted with a GPS. I believe she loves what she does, but I don't think this service is the right fit for everyone. I have a 19 year old dog, I think her service would be fine for older dogs. Not for a younger dog with too much spirit.

Kacey and her team take really good care of me and my pack. There are 3 of us. The facility is lovely and very clean, we get great attention, and all the drop off and pick up stuff accommodates my mom's travel and work schedule. No place like home....but I would not stay anywhere else!

New to town and had a family function we had to attend. Made an appointment to take our dog Max a Beagle mix to be boarded for a few days. It was easy to find and The kennels were clean, dogs had room to play and when we picked him up he was clean and his bedding was clean. He was happy and healthy. Animals were all happy and got along. We couldn’t be happier with this kennel. Thank you all at Coopers Wounded Bear Kennels for taking great care of my Sweet baby Max..

Kacey was a life saver with my rescue. When I first got him a year ago he'd been in the pound for 7 months, didn't like any other animals, had no recal and forget walking him on a leash. Now we enjoy dog parks, hiking together, playing on the beach, and he even gets to come to work with me somedays. All thanks to Kacey and her team at wounded bear farm.

I wouldn't take our dog anywhere else! Our dog is one of the family, so when we leave town there isn't a better place for her to go. We have been taking our dog there for over 8 years now, sometimes just for a extended weekend trip, or for longer 2 week vacations. Our black lab Sadie absolutely loves going there and it is such a relief knowing that while we are gone that she is extremely well kept for, happy, gets exercise, has fun, and is safe. The cleanest, best kept dog kennel I've ever been to. Her kennel is huge where Sadie sleeps, so she isn't packed in there or cramped, and it is so nice that Sadie can be outside for a long time to run, play, socialize and not be kept inside all day. Sadie has so much fun when she is at the kennel. I don't think that many dogs are actually excited to leave their owner, but Sadie is when we get there. Kasey is a very nice and caring lady who takes such good care of all the dogs and truly cares for each one of them at her kennel. I can't say enough about Kasey, her care, and her kennel. Highly recommend and if anyone is looking for a clean, happy and safe place for your dog to stay while you are gone, this is the right kennel and give Kasey a call.

This kennel is top notch. If you are looking for a place that is caring, professional, clean, and friendly, this is the place for your 4 legged friend! The kennels are good size and comfortable. They learn the personality of your dog and let them play together in the big closed in yards. No fights here. They have indoor and outdoor kennels. The dogs are happy, healthy, energetic, and tired at the end of the day from all the interaction they receive. I have used Cooper's since she opened up over 30 years ago. I've used them for long term as well as short term boarding. When my dog needed specialized care, there was no hesitation. In my opinion, there is no better place to care for my third "child."

I love doing fishing charters on the Kasilof or Kenai rivers, but I hate having to leave my dogs at home for overnight camping trips just because I have a charter booked. Coopers Wounded Bear Farm & Kennel is a great solution! I can drop the dogs off (with food and medications) and pick them up whenever we get back on land. I've dropped the dogs off in the middle of the night so I could be on the river at 3 AM, and picked them up 14 hours later. The owner gave me a lot of dog training trips for my puppy who was out of control, and every time our dogs stayed here, they came home exhausted from playing with their dog friends. Even with a last minute booking, I had no problem getting my dogs set up. It is so convenient, and I'm really glad this place is here. I love that I can take my dogs camping and know that they are safe while I'm fishing.

The best kennel I have ever used! This is the only kennel my dogs did not come home sick or with fleas! Every other kennel I have taken them to, it was a battle getting them through the door - not here - no problem. Kacey is also wonderful with disciplining the dogs if needed! We have been taking our two dogs to Kacey for years now, and recently we did an extended vacation and were worried how they would be without us for so long. The dogs were happy as clams and were well cared for. We have checked into it and her rates are also competitive to other kennels. We will use Wounded Bear as long as we have dogs!

It's been many years since Zippy our little heeler cross has started taking her vacations at Wounded Bear and want to give Kacey and all the crew a big thank you for always making her stays special! Hannah at Tundra Tails in Sterling is the best. She took care of our couch potato like her own. We even got photo updates. Facility is top notch and easy to access when headed in or out of town. I highly recommend.

I bring my two large Chihuahua mixes here very frequently, And I absolutely will continue to keep bringing them back!!! Hanah is an absolute superwoman! I know my dogs are so safe, I know they’re taking care of, I know they are warm and they aren’t neglected, etc. They are both also very special needs in terms of medication and specific timing, and she is so good about administering medication, including their insulin shots. She is communicative about pick up and drop off time, and above all, I appreciate her so much for the fact that she is so flexible and understanding. She has the patience of a saint. I know my dogs can be a lot, but she is so accommodating and welcoming, I never feel like they are too much of a burden. She also is really good about sending pictures and updates, she’ll ask questions if she needs to know immediately. It’s just wonderful. I really do love the flexibility aspect though because if I have a last-minute trip to Anchorage, she’s very Accommodating.

Tundra Tails is the best! Hannah is super friendly and easy to work with. Our diabetic dog was in good hands and I wouldn't think twice about booking her again! The place was very clean and organized.

Hanah is such a lovely person and wonderful with our dog! She took the time and had the patience to win over our anxious dog and now we feel comfortable knowing our dog is in good hands when we are away. Hanah is professional, reliable and caring. She sends us photo(s) of our pup while we're away and she has even watered my plants for me when she is making home visits. Our 2 year old Goldendoodle stayed at Tundra Trails for 4 days. He loved it and had a great time! The Burrell family lovingly cared for him, sent us updates, and made sure he had the best time. I boarded my two dogs at Bub’s Pups for two weeks while on a family trip. They were well cared for, exercised and socialized every day. Bub’s Pups asked lots of questions about my dogs and took the time and effort to cater to their individual habits and needs. My less sociable German shepherd was taken for walks by herself while my other dog got lots of play time with the other dogs. They sent pictures of my dogs looking happy and stimulated every couple of days. I would highly recommend.

We take our puppy once a week and he always comes home so happy and wore out! I get pics throughout the day and our puppy always comes home with better manners too!

After some last minute planning to float on the Kenai, Andrew and his family were so accommodating and flexible with watching our boy Floyd. They sent daily updates and didn’t make Floyd stay in a kennel all day and night. Floyd had a good time and I think he’ll miss his new friends at Bubs Pups. If we’re ever back around this area we’ll definitely book back with this great team. Your dogs will stay in a big clean home and have lots of forest to walk through. Highly recommend. Andrew is amazing with animals!! I have 2 German shepards that are my pride and joy, I felt comfortable leaving them with Andrew! He walked them took pictures sent me videos, he went above and beyond to make sure my dogs had the best care. We will be back! Bub’s Pups in Sterling, Alaska is a new kennel in the region. Our dog stayed two days and absolutely loved it. She got So much attention from Andrew including personal walks and exercise. He was very mindful of our dog’s personality, diet, sleep needs and interactions with the other dogs. This is a brand new facility that is spanking clean and professional with a wonderful personal touch. We couldn’t be happier with our experience. We think you will love it too!

Great prices and very friendly. They watched my 5 dogs for 2 weeks. They were prompt to notify me of any issues and were quick to resolve them and continue to give my dogs the best care. Highly recommend! Will be using them again.

This place is more like dropping your pup off with a friend who cares about them than what I normally think of as a kennel. The folks are kind and attentive, and they'll take your dog for walks and actually play with them. I know my dog's expressions, and it provides peace of mind to recieve a photo of him clearly enjoying himself when I'm away. 10/10

Brought our two pups here while we took a boat tour in Kachemak Bay. Wonderful place to leave your fur babies. Kristen was so responsive when we were booking and dropping off the dogs! Bailey and Bonnie immediately took to Ben (Kristen’s partner)! We got updates during the day with pictures and Kristen spent time chatting with us at the end of the day about our pups’ visit. Highly recommend them and would use them again for sure!

Our dog Enzo was living the good life at The Good Life! We dropped him off for an overnight (24 hr) stay while we took a tour out of Homer. Kristen was very responsive by text both before the array and during. She shared pictures of him during the day. When we picked him up he was happy and healthy. We added the wash he was wet when we got him but we showed up a bit early. I would recommend this place to locals and visitors to the area. Thanks again! 🐶💕

Love this place! Very communicative and able to accommodate our more anxious/reactive girl. The first place we've taken our pups in Alaska where we've picked them up without even the smallest sign of stress. Just good and muddy, happy, tired dogs!

I have had good and bad experiences with boarders. So moving back here I had to start looking to get one set up. So we took our Emma to The Good Life and when I picked her up she was so happy. She had a blast and is all tuckered out now. Will be coming back to visit.

We have been using Kristen and the good life since 2019. She treats our dog like it was family and our dog can be kind of stubborn at times. We can not state enough how she has our complete trust. Now when she sees Kristen or a staff member she jumps out and doesn’t even look back at us. 🤩⭐️ …

Wow what an amazing place for animals to be spoiled with love! First and foremost, the safety factor of the fenced yards really impresses me. In Alaska, this is just a given. It’s SO important for your peace of mind. Kristen nailed it! You can tell that Kristen and her team really care for all of these beautiful fur babies as if they are their own. We needed a place for Loki and Crow to stay on very short notice. Kristen took them in right away for what was supposed to be a day and turned into three. She gave us updates and photos and they had a great bath. I felt they were well taken care of and was glad they had a chance to play with other doggies.

My dogs loved it here. They gained confidence and played hard. Staff was friendly and professional. Great place to bring your dogs.

I met The Dog Mama through serendipity at Connors Bog. I was new in Anchorage and had a young dog. I was looking for doggie daycare with walks to keep my pup fully exercised during the week when I was super busy with a major project. Was I ever lucky to run into The Dog Mama! She started watching my dog very soon after. He already had experience with doggie daycare and been socialized to play with other dogs so he fit right in with her pack. She keeps her dogs in her control which was a huge reassurance to me. I wanted someone who wouldn't let this big puppy play on their sympathy! That is, I didn't want his training to go out the window while he horsed around all day. The Dog Mama has a wonderful, peaceful demeanor that sets the tone for the pups. I always felt like my dog had a good day of play and rest when I picked him up. He wasn't overstimulated by constant barking (like may happen in a bigger daycare facilities). I just loved bringing him to The Dog Mama. She's a great dog mom.

The Dog Mama is great! Alysha does an amazing job taking care of Agnes the chocolate Lab while we are on vacation. It’s so good to know our pup is in safe hands while we’re away. Plus, Alysha sends fantastic updates with photos of dog walks and other adventures. Highly recommended!!

We have used Alysha’s dog sitting services a few times, and we are so happy we found her! Our dog Jack loves having some pals to hang out with and of course the awesome adventures he gets to go on while he’s at Alysha’s house! Alysha will keep you updated with pictures of your dog having the best time! She is a great communicator. Drop off and pick up have always been easy to schedule. We recommend her 100%!

Alysha is probably the only person capable of turning my crazy boy into a puddle. Both of my dogs love her but my boy Bob would probably vote to live with her instead of coming home. She takes them on daily adventures, sends the most beautiful pictures and updates, and really makes them a part of her family. Seeing them play with her family and pack gives me the peace of mind that even when I’m not there, they’re having the best time. Plus, when they come home, they sleep for pretty much 24hrs which is exactly what I need after a vacation or business trip.

We love The Dog Mama! Our pets are well cared for, instructions are followed, they get great walks and they enjoy playtime / socialization with a small group. Our two Schnauzers get excited when we pull into the driveway....and that’s their 5-star review summary!

Alysha was absolutely amazing with our two dogs Lilly and Bridger. She made sure we were kept up to date on their activities and sent plenty of photos during their stay. We are so lucky to have found her and plan on using her services again in the future!

When we bring our dog to stay with Alysha and her husband we know he will be loved, kept safe, and have an active and fun time while we are gone. They are very responsible, kind and caring. As a matter of fact, when we come home you can tell he misses his pack. They are the only people we trust enough to leave our dog with when we take a trip.

Unlike traditional doggie daycare/boarding, my dog has been genuinely happy here! My favorite part is that the owner sends me picture updates and I can clearly see that my dog gets individualized attention, lots of exercise, and monitored play time with a small group of very friendly dogs. I'd give more stars if I could!
