My puppy has separation anxiety, so I started looking around for doggy daycare options while I’m at work. I found Raven’s service online and saw the good reviews/how close it was in proximity to my home. They have been extremely communicative and professional throughout the entire process. I get a “report card” at the end of my pup’s stay - complete with beautiful photos that make me feel like I was still a little part of his day. Not only does he get to socialize with other pets, he gets to expend all his puppy energy - which means he’s tuckered out and ready for sleep at the end of the day. Naturally I was worried to leave my puppy with other people, especially during a pandemic, but Raven’s K9to5 has alleviated that anxiety completely. They truly seem to care about my pup. Raven and her husband have exceeded my expectations and I am very satisfied with the care my puppy is receiving/has received thus far!

I am so glad I found Raven and her husband! I have never felt so confident about someone else taking care of my doggo. Bella Rose has so much fun when she goes to stay with Raven. When we go on vacation she goes to doggy camp! She always has friends to play with and they do play! She is always so worn out when she comes home. And I love the pictures that I get every day. And the report card usually cracks me up. I was really late picking up Bella and they just rolled with it. Traveling is unpredictable sometimes. Thank you Raven for all the times you’ve watched Belle! We only use Raven now!

So thankful for Raven! She was able to help me on short notice and was super sweet and helpful! She was very patient with my shy and grumpy rabbit, and dropped by my hotel twice a day to make sure she had everything she needed. I was extremely anxious about leaving my rabbit alone, but Raven sent me pictures of her when she could, and I felt so much more comfortable about leaving. Very thankful to have found her and will absolutely be using her again when I go out of town!

I went to Florida for 5 days and used Ravens K9 to 5 to board my yorkie. This was the first time I have ever had to board my baby and I was so weiry about leaving him with just anybody. We are new to the area and really dont know anyone yet. I looked into the "pet suite" facilities that offer boarding and they keep the dogs in a kennel and all the dogs are left over night by themselves. When I found Ravens K9 and seen that the dogs were house board, I felt my dog would be alot happier there. After dropping him off I was so sad and couldn't even enjoy my vacation due to being worried about him. Raven made sure to ease my mind and send me pics and videos showing me that my baby was happy and enjoying himself. This made it much easier being away from him. I will use Ravens K9 to 5 every time I need a babysitter. He is now home safe and sound and I couldn't be happier!! Thanks Raven

After multiple pet sitters backed out we contacted Raven in the middle of a busy holiday planning season. Thankfully she was able to fit in our crew of 4 dogs and 1 cat. She stayed the nights at our house and did multiple daily check ins with them. Her communication was fantastic and we loved getting daily photos. Our house was left clean so you could tell she treated it as her own. The animals all enjoyed her company despite having a few naughty moments! We hope to use her again for any future vacations.

I had a wonderful experience with Raven caring for our pets while we were away. This was my 1st time ever hiring a company for pet services. Raven did a wonderful job of answering all of my questions before she even began services, and kept us updated every step of the way...including pictures of my babies being cared for so superbly!! This was our first time using Raven's services for home visits for our 7+ year old cat Lola. Everything about our experience was wonderful. Raven and her husband were both friendly and knowledgable during their introductory meeting in our home. Lola warmed up to Raven very quickly. We were concerned in that we adopted Lola through Wisconsin Purebred Cat Rescue last Summer and she had never been without us overnight before. Her previous owners left her for sometimes weeks at a time. Raven let us know about her arrival and gave us thorough updates after each visit (including wonderful pictures). We highly recommend Raven's K9 to 5 Pet Services and will certainly use her services again when we are going to be away on overnight trips. Lola seemed to bond with Raven very quickly. Thanks Raven!

We used Raven's while out of town on vacation and found it to be a great place for our pup. Our dog, a Great Dane named Willow, had a blast there and literally played until she could play no more! The daily reports were very helpful and the daily photos that were included in the reports were an added bonus. Communication was quick and easy, and not to mention, Willow had a blast. Definitely will use Raven's again when the time comes!

We have used Raven's K9 to 5 Pet Services for the past 3 years each time we've gone away. Raven does her best to accommodate our travel schedules, and, more importantly, has treated our dogs like family -with care and attention. As our dogs have gotten older, their needs have changed. Raven is always attentive to what is required for their comfort and contentment. 😊

Raven provided excellent care for our two senior cats in our home for a few days. On each visit, we received notification when she was arriving, followed up with lots of photos of the cats and a report card of how they were doing. Her care of litter boxes, feedings, and other details was meticulous. Communication is awesome and she responds to questions immediately. I highly recommend her for excellent care of your pets!

This was our first time with The Highland Dog. It was also the first time we had left Harley for so long, 7 nights. They took great care of him and we are pleased. He got to socialize with big and little dogs under supervision and all indications are that he had a good experience. They bathed him before we picked him up too. We and Harley will be back.

This is the first place we've trusted to keep our girl outside friends and family. They clearly love all the dogs and take such good care of them. My anxious pup had a great time.

I needed a last minute dog sitter for my senior dog, Penny. The standards I have for a pet sitter are extremely high as this pup might as well be my child. Usually, I pay someone to stay in the house with her when I travel. In the past other boarding facilities have left her stressed. Due to this being a last minute trip I took a chance on the Highland dog. I am SO HAPPY to have found them! The team was extremely professional and took fantastic care of her. When I picked her up she was well groomed and very happy. I can tell she had fun interacting with the other dogs and got plenty of attention! The team went above and beyond in many ways. They added beef broth to her food so she would eat. They happily gave me updates whenever I called. Someone even helped me take her larger items back to the car during pickup! Had an amazing experience with The Highland Dog! I searched in Louisville for dog daycare, to have a little break from the dogs for my mother and I to enjoy the city pup free, & calling around other businesses, my mom & I felt more at home & comfortable with choosing The Highland Dog. Judy the owner called me to follow up on a few requests I had, and she informed us that wouldn't be a problem at all to accommodate the dogs according to their needs! Without her even saying it, I already knew they would be in great hands because of her understanding & caring nature. Initially when I called & spoke with Sharon, she was so informative on the pricing, the shot records being a must, & hour of operation to bring the dogs! Made it a breeze to do business with them. Was able to print out the application & get the shot records sent over prior to arriving! So when we brought the dogs Raven was so kind while asking a few simple questions about the dogs & took no more than a few minutes to do the transition & they were gone already in great caring hands & having a good time with the other dogs at the daycare! Doggie daycare is more like a summer camp for them! They get to be away from home, hang out with new pals, be supervised, and have some freedom that they don't have at home! Makes us happy as pet owners to see our dogs happy and excited for something new! Very satisfied with our experience & can't wait to bring the dogs back here again when we're in town!!

The Highland Dog takes the best care of my dogs. The entire staff is wonderful, and my dogs are the happiest when I pick them up. I don't take them often, which is why it's even more impressive that the staff remembers my dogs and what they like and need. I love seeing the pictures they post everyday, and when I'm away for a few days at a time I love being able to check in on them and see that they're doing well 😄

My 3/1/2 year old standard poodle had never been boarded and had little experience with other dogs when we were called out of town for urgent grandparent duty. Highland dog not only accommodated the short notice, they assured me they could handle introducing my dog to new friends. After a sniff and greet visit, I left my companion in capable hands. We grandparented worry free after seeing our dog on Facebook every day interacting with other buddies. Plan to use them again and use the daycare option too. Great experience for all.

We can't say enough great things about The Highland Dog and always board our dogs there when leaving town. They love our dogs as much as we do and some days I think my dogs love them more than us! Our pups LOVE Krystal! She is so good to them. We are sometimes gone two full weeks and we have no concerns about our puppies! She loves on them and she takes such good care of them! I would recommend her and her Peanut’s Pet Sitting to anyone looking for someone to take care of their pet!

Krystal has been taking care of my high maintenance dog since she was a puppy (she turns 7 this year). She has nursed her through illness, injuries, and Even though this fur momma can get very anxious, she always puts my mind at ease and takes excellent care of her. She is her second momma and Neko loves her so very much. I wouldn’t trust her with anyone else.

Krystal is so sweet and knowledgeable. I was walking my dog one day and she drove by. She backed up and asked why my dog was limping. I hadn’t noticed it. She found a small pebble in between her foot pads. I now check that frequently. She has also helped me with dog training. Now when we go for walks my dog goes up the driveway looking for her. She’s the best!!

We contacted I-Sit Pets when we were planning a trip out of town for a few days. We rescued a very anxious dog a few years ago and he really needs a lot of patience and care when we are not with him. We have tried several options, but have not found a good one until now! Laura was so caring and nurturing to him and very patient. Our minds have been at ease with the frequent updates and seeing him so relaxed and playful.

This is the second year we used I-Sit Pets. I never worried about the care my pets would receive for one second. I did worry my pets would wear out Machelle where she would never come back. Amos was extremely attentive and caring for our two Shih Tzo dogs, who require a lot of coaxing to eat! They naturally took to Amos’s warm personality. I highly recommend Amos and iPads!

Betsy Rose and Amos took such great care of our dog Bella! They came by and took Bella for a walk, gave her lots of hugs and belly rubs. Bella loves the care that she got and considers them family now. I would highly recommend!

Lisa took care of my cat for about 2 weeks, and I when I got back he was excited but he wasn't super nervous like previous times and sitters. Lisa took the time to help my older cat feel comfortable despite him being a bit lonely. Overall 5 stars for no only price but for doing a great job of helping out and being flexible and having good pricing!

Lisa has watched our cat Maddie during our last two summer vacations. She is so dependable and most of all she loves animals especially cats. In addition to having several cats and a dog she also rescues cats and seeks to find good homes for them.

Lisa is highly recommended. I was originally referred to Lisa years ago when we were planning a vacation and asked our vet for pet sitting recommendations. We weren’t sure about having a stranger come into our house every day to take care of our dog and cat so the vet recommendation meant a lot. And when we met with Lisa for the first it was obvious that she is a true animal lover and a perfect fit for the job. Since that first time, we used Lisa’s services for various vacations and found her to be completely trustworthy and responsible. Since my wife’s death two years ago, I hired Lisa to come to my house every day while I work to let my two dogs out and feed them. It has made my life so much easier to have someone like her that I can trust in my home and who will treat my pets like her own. I don’t know what I’d do without her!

Lisa is the perfect pet sitter. She’s been doing this work I think for over 20 years but talk to her for just a little bit and it will be clear that caring for animals wherever she is is a lifelong mission. Her prices are very reasonable and it’s like getting double for your money because you know that she’s going to put that right back into caring for more animals. Each day Lisa came she took a picture of all my cats plus the two neighborhood cats I feed. I’d swear she’s a cat whisperer. All but one of these cats are very shy yet she’d manage to get sweet pictures of all of them! Lisa is very straightforward so you may get schooled some but I appreciated it because I know I’m getting the best advice I could ask for. I just couldn’t ask for anything better than the services Lisa provided.

We moved away and have had no luck in Florida coming close to the quality of care we have received both with doggy daycare and boarding here. Our dog runs in the door each time she arrives and considers it her second home. It has been so good to be back in KY for 2 weeks and to take advantage of such high quality care. Our dog comes home happy and and well socialized. Amazing professional and caring staff work there! And the price is so affordable with consistent and generous hours. The owner and staff are amazing! They care about our dog as if she is their own. They are thorough in working with vets to get needed records, great at creating a safe, clean, fun, stimulating atmosphere , and always available to answer any needed questions. I have worked with several doggy daycares, private and big box. Barks on Bauer is hands down the best one!

I cannot say enough kind words about Barks. I’ve been taking my dog Potter here for almost 3 years since I rescued him as a puppy. I travel a lot, and this is the only place I’d trust with my dog. He is always so excited to go here and runs directly to the door when I drop him off. It makes me so happy to be able to leave him somewhere that I know he loves when I go out of town!

I was in a pinch for a quick-sitter for my pooch over the weekend and this place was a godsend. Staff was super chill, worked with me on a funky time slot when nobody else would squeeze me in. The in-house boarding/kennel area is spacious with plenty of sunlight and warm air -- nice setup! (I hate leaving my baby in the concrete cells and dingy cages all-too-common back home.) You can tell these people love dogs. Very reasonable rates and easy to communicate with. If I'm in town and need a sitter again I won't be looking anywhere else.

Barks on Bauer was an amazing daycare for our 4-year-old lab/shepherd mix. We took him 2-3x a week for 2 years and he was always excited to go and exhausted from a day full of playing with pals! We recently moved away from Louisville and are so bummed we can't take him there anymore!! Would leave Moose with Bill and the rest of the staff any day. Thanks for a great 2 years Barks on Bauer!

Barks is a gem in the Louisville area. They will love and care for your dogs like family. You will not find a better daycare and boarding situation for your fur babies. We relocated to Atlanta and we haven't yet found a comparable place for our pets. We miss Barks on Bauer!

I wasn’t going to leave a comment until the business accused me of leaving a “fake review”. I gave one stat because when calling to inquire about daycare for my GSD I was told they don’t take that breed because others have been aggressive. This is the craziest thing I’ve ever heard. My dog has been going to daycare in Daytona for 3 years, since he was 9 months old, and has NEVER had an issue. I’ve never heard of a place banning certain breeds and I think it’s poor business practice. So this is in fact NOT a fake review.

Our rescue dog Zep had a great time staying overnight with Bill and Barks on Bauer. I found Barks thanks to a google search when we needed last minute dog care due to a death in the family. Bill was wonderful and reassuring when I dropped my dog off. The online portal allowed for easy booking and paying. Zep had a blast during his overnight stay and I was even able to have his nails cut while he was there! Bill sent me updates during the day and gave me some more info when I picked Zep up including better info on how our newish dog interacted with others which provided me with great info for our upcoming obedience training. I will definitely continue to use Barks for socialization for daycare and overnight as needed.

Barks on Bauer is the best place for doggie daycare in St. Matthews. Others may be good, but Lynda and Bill at Barks on Bauer really excel, and go the extra mile. Our greyhound and Boston terrier really love going there! Highly recommend!

Paws Pet Care has done a wonderful job caring for my dogs for several years now. Beth is super responsive with any issues. My dogs are always happy to see Carrie walk through the door for walks or playtime and I've been very fortunate to have professional sitters to love on my dogs when we are gone, Sondra being our latest. I highly recommend this group.

My cat is very shy and easy to get anxiety. The cat sitter from Paws Pet Care really understands her character. She communicates with my cat without pushing her. She looks after her perfectly according to my wishes. I will ask Paws Pet Care for next time.

I had a wonderful experience with Sydney and Paxton! My dog is older and needs medications, and they were great about staying on top of it. It was great having picture updates about how he was doing, and they spent extra time with him! They also kept in touch with my family at home to coordinate care. I highly recommend their services!

New Review the owners answer to this review is obvious a desperate owner trying save her rating. I have only ever had 1 sitter with this company and we got on well. I loved Katie and was sad when she left the company. Also I have 3 cameras and I told them about the cameras. Never tried to hid it. My cat has never gone potty outside the litter box. That however was not paws fault, it was due to an added dog in the house. However had it been caught earlier a litter could have been moved to the area she was in. I did talk to the owner at 2 am when the original sitter did not seem to let the dogs out. Demanding? I expect my animals fed, pet and loves and played with. I have copies of every conversation ever had with my previous sitter I would love to see any supposed abuse. I also had no problem with the pet care once taken over by the owner however the problems had already been set in motion ( wrong dog food). Also I would like to mention that Katie had zero problems with my daughters dog. You were hired for 12 visits in 72 hours. 4 times a day. I am glad you visited that many times that is what I asked for and paid for It is sad the owners decided to answer so petty and lie about what happened but you can judge by that alone. —— I can't fit my whole review in here, (the full review is on Angies list) basically I have used this company since 2016 and it's been awesome but my sitter is no longer with them and they gave me another woman who either is afraid of dogs or does not like them, she would not touch/pet/hold the dogs. She could not figure out basic instructions of how to close a gate or where the dog food is kept. (She fed my dog the wrong food) for one potty break visit the camera in the house does not show her even taken them outside. She will not work with skittish animals to get them used to her over all the whole event was a disaster. I came home after being out of state at a memorial service for a family member to a smelly house (the puppy pads were not changed and cat pee on the ground) and half a bag of dog food I had bought to test allergies in one of my dogs gone because the other dog was fed the wrong food. The owner of the company took over the care of my pets after initial problems with my assigned sitter but by that point everything was spiraling down hill.

The petsitter was great. She came over to meet everyone before we left for our trip. While we were gone she took great care of my fur babies and was very communicative the whole time. Any time I had a question she responded right away! I definitely recommend Paws Pet Care.

We have been using Paws for about a year and a half now, and we have been very pleased. Both of the sitters we have used have been wonderful! Our cats are very well taken care of, and the extras like taking in the mail are much appreciated! It is great peace of mind to know our pets and home are in great and caring hands.

Paws Pet Care has an awesome service and Debi (our pet sitter) did a fantastic job in taking care of our little kitties. We moved to Louisville about 2 years ago with no friends or family nearby. And still hadn't developed any close friends that we'd feel comfortable leaving our precious cats. But we needed a family vacation and looked to Paws Pet Care for help. We were very worried about leaving anyone, especially anyone we didn't know with our home and our cats. But Debi helped in making our first trip a real vacation. She provided pictures with a report every day as well as doing all the basics of cleaning the litter, filling the food bowls and water. She even picked up some treats that we ran out of. It was a great experience and won't have any worries about calling on Paws Pet Care with Debi on our next vacation.

I can't say enough about Paws Pet Care! We were hesitant to leave our pups since we never have for as long as a week. We met Jill and knew immediately they would be loved. She was perfect! Texted pictures every day along with videos and commentary. She took care of my little vegetable garden and cleaned up a few accidents that the pups had due to being stressed from storms. Jill was so wonderful, it's hard to convey how much she eased our minds. Also Kristina was wonderful making sure we were set up on the schedule that was best for our babies. I want to THANK YOU so much for being so wonderful and loving our pets as much as we do!

What a relief to be able to go out of town and have our fur babies loved on and cared for. She was responsible for 3 dogs and our 11 1/2 year old rabbit. She went above and beyond, including grooming the bunny. We loved getting updates and pictures. I highly recommend her services…and so do they!

KATIE SAVED OUR VACATION!!!! We had some last second changes with our plans and we found ourselves without a pet sitter while we were halfway across the country! We contacted Katie and told her without any notice whatsoever that we need a pet sitter for a week and she responded immediately! She never hesitated and asked when she could meet with the dogs. Thankfully we had a family member in town that day that could let her in the house to do a meet and greet. She met the dogs and accepted the job without hesitation!! 0 day notice to watch our 4 dogs for a whole week and she said yes!!! Thanks to her we got to enjoy our vacation and she kept us regularly updated every single day. She sent us photos of the dogs and gave us a bunch of info on how they were doing. She even fed our fish and watered out outdoor plants for us!! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Katie because she was absolutely amazing with the dogs and she saved our vacation! Katie was amazing with our babies! We have two very old small dogs, 1 pit bull that was in heat and cat with an attitude 😂 She came over the day before we left to do a meet and greet with them, and to get to know our routine. I was sent a text before she headed over to let me know she was going, and I also got picture updates. I could not recommend more. I was very comfortable on our trip knowing that our babies were in good hands! We will definitely be using this service again!

We can not say enough great things about our experience!! We are pretty sure our overweight dog even lost some weight from all the fun play time he had with Katie. She communicated with us daily through texts and photos. Her rates are super reasonable. She goes above and beyond what you ask of her. We came home to brushed dogs who had been shedding and their water tower was even cleaned! Both we did not request of her. We recommend her to everyone we know who have pets.

I used Coomer Pet Sitting the week of Thanksgiving while I was out of state and it was great! Katie had me fill out a questionnaire ahead of time specifying my pets needs and likes. I received a text every day with a picture and an update to let me know how my kitties were doing. I have cameras throughout my home and I could hear them talking to my kitties and telling them they are loved. It was really sweet and top notch care. I will definitely use them again!

It can be a bit intimidating when trying to find quality care for your fur baby but when we found Carrie at Paws Southern Indiana, she made everything so easy. We have used hourly care and overnight care. The updates and pics she sends, always assures us that our boy is having the best time and ABSOLUTELY LOVES his babysitter aka Aunt Carrie. Paws Pet Care of Southern Indiana & Downtown Louisville gives the best care for my dogs, sometimes I think they like Carrie and her team more then they like me; from the smiles on their faces in the photos they send me at each visit. The team goes above and beyond every visit from refilling the water bowls, bringing in the mail or packages, mixing the food just right so my picky eater gets her meal. I recommend them to all my friends and hope you will give them a try!

Carrie did a wonderful job of taking care of Norm for an extended period. She walked and fed him, and I suspect gave him lots of love! I would highly recommend Paws and will be using them again.

We used Paws Pet Care for the first time a few weeks ago while we were on vacation. We had always been hesitant to leave our dog, Bruno, with someone besides our family as he is nervous/anxious around new people. Brittany was our sitter and she was absolutely fantastic! She always kept us updated on how Bruno was doing (and sending cute pictures!) and was great at making sure Bruno felt comfortable while we were away. Bruno even went to greet her at the door on her last day which was a huge step! I never had a doubt about Bruno being well taken care of which allowed us to relax and enjoy our vacation! Carrie, the owner, has also been fantastic. She is extremely responsive and will make sure you feel comfortable and at ease with your pet's care! I will most definitely be using Paws Pet Care again and will be recommending them to anyone I know who needs a sitter.

Carrie gives us peace of mind every day with taking care of our puppies. She walks them plays with them and loves on them. They truly look forward to her visit our Dane does the happy dance!

We have used Paws Pet Care - So. Indiana & Downtown Louisville several times over the past two years -- if you live in downtown Louisville, this is THE service to call! Carrie responds right away to requests for service, she is always friendly, professional, and caring. We've had three different sitters (for different trips), all terrific. Our cat was completely in love with Amy, our last sitter! I love the way they text you every time they come and send pictures. Amy kept in touch about everything, and she did everything well, even swept up the litter trail and cat fluff from our very hairy kitty before we got home. It is reassuring to know that our kitty is in good hands whenever we go away. Their online system is efficient and reliable. We know we've got someone to call and they will be there for us.

Carrie does an excellent job caring for our pets so that we can enjoy a vacation with no worries. I love that she really cares about their routines and well being. We get pictures and updates everyday (I swear my dog is smiling). She also takes care of watering plants and mail. I just can't say enough positive things about Paws in Southern Indiana. Their owner, Carrie, has been sitting for my babies for several years. I have three kitties that I adore and when I travel I like to feel that they're safe and cared for, especially if there is an emergency. She stops in and socializes with them, feeds them and cleans the cat boxes. Something that I absolutely love is that she sends daily pictures of each kitty which makes me rest easier when I'm away. I just don't know what I'd do without Paws Pet Care! Thank you, Carrie!!!

I have absolutely loved Bark Louisville! I take my dog Rye there for all of the services! She gets to the door and instantly knows where we are and is so excited! Another one of my favorites has been getting her groomed there. Doodle cuts are so niche and hard to find someone who does a good job but every time I have taken her I love her new cut! Highly recommend Bark Louisville!

My poor poodle Kyla was a matted mess after I got stuck out of town for 2 weeks and she wasn't brushed, bathed or groomed in my worst nightmare scenario. I thought she would be fully shaved and naked after taking her in for grooming, but when I saw her come out I was in shock by how beautiful she was! So much of her precious floof had been kept and she was prettier than ever! I normally do her haircuts myself but I never would've managed a job like that and I will definitely be bringing her back for big jobs.

My dog, Judge, absolutely loves Bark! Judge would always hide behind me when I took him to other boarding or daycare places. At Bark, he happily walks in and doesn’t look back at me. We use Bark for all their services! They provide the best daycare, grooming and boarding! Judge gets the cutest haircuts and they always give him a personalized bandana after each haircut. We love Bark!

We absolutely love this place. The staff is so friendly and fun. Our dog Reese jumps out of our car and straight into the building. Doesn’t even look back. The staff is attentive and you can tell they truly care. They also do fun optional parties. Can’t recommend this place enough. We were so happy we found it.

I recently had a disappointing experience with Bark Louisville, and I feel compelled to leave a negative review. This was the second time I had been quoted a certain price, only to be charged significantly more when I arrived to pick up my dog. In both occasions, they claimed that the initial quote was just a starting price and that the final price would depend on the difficulty of the groom. This felt like a bait-and-switch tactic and left me feeling extremely disappointed. During my first visit, I asked for a breed standard groom and cut for my Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, so I understood that such a cut could be a lot of work and paid the extra amount they charged me. However, during my most recent visit, I only asked for a simple grooming service to trim my dog's beard and face close to the skin. Despite being quoted a certain amount multiple times over the phone, checking their online price list which listed SCWT at the same amount quoted, and double-checking with the staff the morning I dropped off my dog, they still charged me a significantly higher amount at pick-up time. This extra amount didn't make any sense since it was only a simple grooming service with a #4 clip all over the body, with no long hair to style or brush on the legs, chest, or skirt. I had even made sure that my dog didn't have any knots or mats in her face before the groom, yet they still charged me significantly more than the quoted price. In addition, the quality of the cut left a lot to be desired, with lots of uneven lines on the body and face (see pictures). The grooming was not done to the standards that I expected, given the price that I paid. The simple grooming service I asked for was nothing out of the ordinary and should have been priced according to their online price list. As a customer, I expect transparency and honesty from any business I choose to work with, and I felt that Bark Louisville did not meet this basic standard. Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with Bark Louisville's service, and their pricing practices felt misleading. I do not recommend their services to anyone.

Decided to try this place out as a groomer for my little man and I'm so glad that I did! Pre-visit: Bark has an online registration system where you can sign a waiver (make sure you both sign the document itself and ALSO click "sign document" on the dashboard or it'll forever think it's unsigned), fill out basic information and vaccine information about your pet, and request an appointment time. Note that online system lets you select a specific time but **regardless* of time, all dogs should be dropped off by 11am. They will call you when your pet is ready. Drop-off: The location is in downtown Louisville, but the curb directly outside the front door allows for quick parking. They'll greet you, check your dog in, and that's it! Took maybe two minutes. Pick-up: Was informed my pupper was done within a few hours (he only went in for teeth, nails, and glands) and was able to pick him up before the morning was over. He was happy, smelling fresh, and sporting a brand new, custom bandana they had thrown in for free! His nails and teeth were absolutely perfect and well taken care of. In short, Bark was professional, quick, friendly, and also very personable. They have won me over as a customer for life and I look forward to trying out their full grooming or boarding services.

These are wonderful people. My dog is a puppy mill rescue and was terrified to go in here for grooming because of all the loud noises. But the staff helped him feel comfortable and gave him love. They were patient and gentle with him. Even called me to make sure I knew he was doing okay. They opted to not trim his nails as he was stressed about it, and I really appreciated that the groomer used their judgment to not push him beyond his limits. He looks super handsome and was calm and comfortable when I picked him up showing no signs of distress. These people understand dogs and genuinely care about them. I would absolutely recommend them!

Wilson always has a blast when he attends Bark Louisville and comes home happy and satisfied. The staff are fantastic and often address Wilson by name when we arrive and always notify me if there are any issues. Also, I love being able to look for him on their webcams!

Having recently moved to Louisville with an extremely active dog and a busy job, I spent weeks researching daycare and boarding options in the city because leaving my dog at home wasn't an option. None of the doggy daycares in the city provided the level of care and thoroughness as Bark Louisville does. The facility itself is brand new and seems like it was actually thought up by a dog because of how perfect it is. The dogs are kept crate-free and have their own playground sorted by dog size with web cams throughout so you can see your dog any time of day. Below is my dog before and after daycare everyday, very few things keep him as entertained and active. My Siberian Husky is a very nice, very shy dog and immediately fell in love with the place and the staff who are all well trained and considerate of each dog's needs. Ana, the owner, treats each and every dog like they are her own to the point where my dog greets her with the same excitement that he greets me (I try to act like I'm not jealous). She has truly put her heart and soul into the business and it shows. If you're a healthcare worker at Norton or U of L this is the most ideal place in the city for you to take your dog since it is walking distance from the medical campus. It has the best combination of price, convenience, and quality in the city by far and trust me I've looked.

Sadie absolutely loves going to Bark Louisville. The are always a lot of other dogs to play with and they even have a playground that the dogs can play on. The staff there are super friendly and cooperative. Our favorite doggie daycare in town!

The building is insecure. All you have to do is pull up on the kennel run doors and they will open. They are large enough for large dogs and normal humans to fit through. Anyone could get in the building at any time. There are also rats abundant.

Our dog was said not to eat much and was not exercised for the week she was boarded. We would have had to pay for daycare for that which we were not told. She was fed and loved on they said. Don't even know if she went outside at all. Paid over $350 for a week. Should that not have included outside time? We will not go back. Our dog came back very thin. Wish she could talk.

Everytime I got out of town they are who I trust with my babies! They make me feel safe with my decision to leave them and update me on their activities as I ask. It is hard to find trusted people with your pets but they go above and beyond to make the experience stress free.

I boarded my dog for approximately 12 hours, charged for 24 and when they brought my dog out his bed was partially soaked with urine and he was wet with it. l don't know if they ever let him out . Ordered a walk for him and don't know if that happened either, they did not observe my feeding instructions either. Someone should have told me that their pick up time was 10:00 am. Will not be returning/

Do not take your animals here! They take your Dog outside with heat factor over 90 and leave them outside and until they are unresponsive and then they die. This just happened to our Dog today. He was a frenchie that cannot handle being outside for a long period of time. He overheated, threw up and then had a seizure. Become unresponsive and passed way.

Not the easiest review to write as I never want to say anything negative about the local humane society, but... We boarded our dogs here for a week while we were out of town. We have 3 dogs, 2 medium sized and a small chihuahua mix and an older cat. The chihuahua is aggressive so they let me go back with him when I dropped them off. I was really happy to see how clean the facilities were and felt reassured they would be well taken care of. When we picked them up it was a very different story. The kennels were dirty and the entire back area smelled like urine. When we got the dogs out, they were all slightly wet and smelled really bad and my little one looked really thin. When we got them home we couldn't let them inside until they all had a bath. Before we left, we portioned all of their food out for the week to be exactly what they needed. We got roughly two full days worth of food back for each dog which made me think they may have missed a few feedings... I honestly was going to let it all go until last night when one of my dog started coughing before bed. She woke up this morning with a really dry cough. Even with having her Bordetella vaccination a few months prior, she contracted Kennel Cough on her stay. And we incurred a $100 vet bill today for antibiotics and cough medicine. This was our first time using their boarding facility and unfortunately our last.

I truly cannot say enough good things about this place and these people! We have a very large (170lbs) pooch, and she is very nervous/scared and not easy to handle. Every time we have boarded her somewhere else, she comes back sickly looking and it takes her a few days for her to readjust. We boarded her here, and she came back happier than ever! The team here truly cares, and goes above and beyond every step of the way. Even with a more difficult pooch that is very large, they took the greatest care of her! We love you guys!!!

My dog gets excited when I drop her off there and is happy when I pick her up, She gets in the car, falls a sleep. When we get home she likes to play in the yard for a few minutes. Then she sleeps most all night.

Our two older dogs stayed here over the weekend while we went to a music festival. This was the first time they have ever been boarded, so we were a little nervous to say the least. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Our dogs have a special diet. The staff took care of that no issues what so ever. Thanks for taking care of our girls and making their first boarding a good experience.
