We feel like we’ve won the pet and house sitter lotto with Scott. Most importantly, he’s taken great care of our much loved little dog, giving him a lot of care, affection and attention. He paid close attention when Tingsha began scratching (allergy to an insect bite) which needed vet care, with great communication with us. He even took Tingsha to his agility school class each week (great fun had by all) and to get a groom. We’ve come home to a contented and very happy dog. The house is spotless, cleaner than we left it, with fresh flowers and the bed all made up. Perfect! We had regular contact with Scott all through our five week trip and being “fellow travellers” (in all senses) enjoyed sharing lots of local travel tips and experiences as we each visited new parts of the world. We were happy to lend Scott our car and he’s been great with it, super responsible. Scott is a really terrific guy and a fabulous journalist and story teller (you must listen to his podcast about his travels, it’s a cracker). In sharing our home and trusting our beloved dog with him, we feel like we’ve made a new friend along the way. We recommend Scott without any hesitation and thank him for a wonderful experience, we’d love him to come back and see us, anytime. Thanks a bunch!
Another amazing sit by Anna and her lovely family - our cocker spaniel Holly has had the best fortnight with these guys with lots of adventures and endless amounts of love and attention! Highly recommend as 5-star house and pet sitters - thank you Anna - hope to see you again!
Hanna did an excellent job sitting Molly, Eddie, Jasper, and Miley. She communicated well, took notes on our initial meet and greet. She went out of her way to help us get the dogs to a kennel when we experienced a family emergency and could not extend her sit due to work commitments. The dogs loved her and the shy kitties came out of greet her mid stay. She left our home immaculate and well cared for. She is truly a winning pet sitter in our eyes! We hope she can come again sometime.
Kyle was a great house sitter and pet sitter for us. We had a good dialogue prior to him sitting for us, and we also did a short walkthrough the week before. Kyle formed a great bond with our dog Charlie and also took good care of our rabbit Poppy. A couple of minor issues came up with systems in our home due to an unexpected power outage, and Kyle was quick to connect with us and then was able to work 1:1 with the service providers to resolve the issues. We look forward to working with Kyle again.
Exceptional Pet Sitters - Highly Recommend Diedre and Keith! I am thrilled to leave a glowing review for our trusted house and pet sitters, Diedre and Keith. They took exceptional care of our long-haired cat, Molly, and our home during our absence. Everything went incredibly smoothly, and their communication was top-notch. Dierdre and Keith provided regular updates, including delightful pictures of Molly, which put our minds at ease while we were away. Upon our return, it was evident that Molly had been well cared for and was content. The genuine love and understanding Diedre and Keith have for both dogs and cats was apparent in their interactions with Molly, and it was clear that they had made her feel comfortable and secure in their care. Their friendly and professional demeanor made the entire experience truly enjoyable. In addition to taking great care of our beloved pet, Diedre and Keith ensured that our home was in excellent condition upon our return. They even went the extra mile by informing us about the leftovers they left in the fridge, which was a thoughtful gesture. I wholeheartedly recommend Diedre and Keith as exceptional pet and house sitters. Their attentive and caring approach, coupled with their expertise, make them a perfect choice for anyone seeking reliable and trustworthy sitters. Don't hesitate to entrust your home and pets to this fantastic duo!
Jeremy and Brooke were fantastic! We have a senior dog and a over hyper pittie. They gave Daisy her meds and had lengthy walks with Fin to burn off some of his energy. Brooke sent me regular texts to show me precious pictures of the pups by the Christmas tree, which warmed my ❤️. The house looked great when we returned. They are awesome detailed sitters and will make your pets feel loved and secure!!
Janis is a wonderful person and also an incredible sitter -- we were very, very fortunate that she agreed to care for our beloved pets and rural log home for 3 days. We were confident that everything would be perfect – and it was. We returned to a home as clean and ordered as we had left it, inside and out. All plants were thriving; outdoor hanging baskets were blooming profusely. Most importantly, our beloved dog and 4 cherished cats had obviously been lovingly and attentively cared for. The koi were also active and happy. Janis is a “cat whisperer”. She is especially skilled and patient with shy felines, so we truly appreciated her patience and caring for our sweet Angie (with a semi-feral background). Janis immediately understood that Angie, despite her reclusiveness, craves affection and was able to start to earn her trust even with such limited time. Among Janis’ many gifts: she is a talented photographer and delighted us with frequent updates and photos of our furry children. They are so beautiful that we, with her kind permission, plan to include several in our zeewoi profile. Janis’ communications, reliability, self-sufficiency, and punctuality were exemplary, start to finish. We made a wonderful new friend and have already invited her back to sit again. If you are privileged enough to ever have Janis sit we are certain that you will be as delighted and happy as we are.
If you’re lucky enough to find Anna as your pet sitter you will have peace of mind and well cared for pets whilst you are away and a clean and tidy home on your return. Anna is thoughtful and kind, she arrived the evening before the sit which allowed for some time to hear about her interesting travels and work, kept me updated with fabulous photos and details of the friendship she was making with the cats and even took the trouble to fix a sticky catch on the cat flap. I can recommend her as a sitter without hesitation. Thank you Anna
Jessica was so rad. I wish she could be our go-to sitter for all our travel. Came over for an in-person orientation, took great care of house and pets and seamless communication. Thank you, Jessica!
For our first experience with a house sitter, Jim and Julie have set the bar high. We felt totally confident that any issues would be dealt with, fortunately there were none. They were outstanding house and pet sitters whom we would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone. They took exceptional care of our house full of pets from 2 large dogs, 3 cats, snake, gecko, fish tank and a koi pond. They provided updates daily, were very easy to communicate with and the house was just as clean as when we left it, with the addition of a nice welcome home gift. We knew our pets were in good hands. Thank you for everything. Melissa and Kyle

Denny is the best pet sitter ever! She's so great with my dog Madison. Always sends pictures and gives updates when we're away. And Madison just loves her. I won't use anyone else! Thank you Denny!
I have used this service for years to take care of my dog when I am away. Denny is awesome and always gets me on her schedule. She takes great care of my dog. Sends me pictures everyday. I highly recommend this service.
I'm so thankful I found Caring Angels Pet services. Denny is extremely accommodating to my "on a whim" get aways, long vacations or emergency needs. She not only comes in and cares for my cats basic needs, she helps with medication twice daily for my older kitty and spends a good bit of time with them at each visit. I love getting all the pictures while I'm away too. Adeeva and Ozzy love "Aunt Denny". 🙂
Denny is the most caring and flexible pet sitter I’ve ever used for my dogs. She truly loves animals and they love her too. She helped out a couple times when I was stranded for longer than planned and she graciously continued to care for my pups. Her rates are more than reasonable and her heart is huge!!!
There is no one who loves animals more than Denny! She may be happier to see our cats than the cats are to see her. Denny provides great service caring for our cats (feeding, cleaning, playing with them) She is flexible with time scheduling and charges a reasonable price. I highly recommend Denny and Caring Angels Pet Service!
Denny is a true animal lover who has taken wonderful care of our dog, even when she was still a high maintenance puppy! Denny was always responsive, reliable, and it was clear our dog loved her. My wife and I would recommend her to anyone who needs pet sitting or dog walking. She's great!
I'm so happy I found Denny!!! She's my cat's best friend (other than me of course)! I can always depend on her to catsit when I'm away! A+++++
Denny is the best pet sitter that I have ever hired! She spent time playing with my cats twice per day, sent photos daily, and far exceeded my expectations! When I returned from a 10 day vacation, it was obvious my cats enjoyed her visits and they were much calmer than they have been after previous vacations. Highly recommend!
Denny is literally the only person outside of my family that I will leave my girls with - especially, overnight. I am THAT mama. My babies are very attached and it has limited our ability to travel even for short trips. My babies loved Denny right away, from the moment they met her. She is the dog whisperer. I would feel 100% at ease any time Denny is the one caring for my babies. She sends super cute photos too to help ease your mind. The only dog sitter I would ever use outside the two, yes only two, relatives I trust.
Denny takes wonderful care of my cats and dog. She loves them and snuggles with them like they are her own. She follows instructions I leave. I know my animals are safe and happy with Denny. PS. She always shares pictures with me so I don’t feel so far away:)❤️
I’ve been deciding on a puppy for quite some time and did a ton of research on Ridgewood. I finally bit the bullet and put a deposit on my little shichon. The owner called me not too long after i put the deposit down and we arranged a pick up for 3 days later. The transaction was seamless and my puppy is the happiest girl ever. They gave me clear instructions about feeding, warranty and the initial vet visit. The staff answered all of my excessive questions as well. I took her home immediately and I’ve never been happier.
This is the best affordable kennel dog place in the entire world. Life time warranty and the best friendly customer service reps ever. My husband picked me out a beautiful baby girl. Jen was the one whom helped us first with our deposit. Then we went back two days later and Holly helped us with the actual purchase of our baby girl. This place is clean , nice and friendly and a lot of puppy buddies for you to choose from. Come get you one. I have a sweet little sweetie. And yes she is already spoiled. Clothes , love , food , huge bed , her own room and her at home furry family members. Thank you Ridgewood Kennels. For loving animals and your customers.Mr. Mike Ms. Holly and Ms. Jen are all fabulous folks. Mike is so sweet. If you need anything they all treat you the same and love helping you pick your forever furry edition to your family. I love them.
Update to Owners Response: I never wrote anywhere that he developed allergies. He's been sick since we got him! How manipulative of you to blow off what I wrote and play dumb saying you never received any of the messages. You confirmed you're a puppy mill. At the time of purchase I even asked your workers for a background of the parents before we even knew he was sick and we were told that they weren't able to tell us anything about the parents. That should have been our red flag. Any reputable place and breeder gives you all the information about the parents. Shame on you for selling sick dogs. There are several other reviews similar on Yelp about you selling sick dogs so we aren't the only ones. It's also why you didn't call us back because you knew. Gross. You should be ashamed. Buyer beware don't be scammed by this place too! ___________________________ We purchased our puppy here and everything was fine initially at pickup however our puppy has been sick every month since we had him home and he’s now 2.5. We called and left several messages asking for the parent information so that we can tell our vet what the dog history is with the stomach but no one ever called us back. At a minimum he’s allergic to every food and having the family history so we know how to treat and for what would have been nice. Be careful of this place they sell sick dogs at a high price and won’t respond to you. Likely a puppy mill.
We visited this kennel after researching many candidates. It was a bit of a ride but we were rewarded with a great little puppy. When we entered we found a clean, organized store, with friendly, helpful staff. They had a large kennel of puppies available. The puppies were clean, had many of their shots, there were areas to visit individual puppies to get to know them. We had viewed a list of puppies on their website and started with the first one on the list named Viv, she stole our hearts and we never got to #2. We are approaching two months with Lucy, yes we renamed her. She has been a joy to us the whole time and look forward to many years with her. If you're interested in getting a new puppy, we would recommend you consider AA Ridgewood Kennel's. We did and are glad.
I am sitting here shocked and bothered as I read some of the other reviews. My family has purchased four puppies from Ridgewood starting in 2009. We have not had one sick puppy, and only had issues with one who didn't want to eat. During that dilemma the staff at Ridgewood walked us through the process and stayed in touch with us until our Lily was well adjusted; she's a Maltese Poodle and our youngest dog, she's now 3 years old with no health concerns. Our oldest dog - Maltese Poodle, Lola that we brought home Christmas Eve 2009, passed away in May 2024. She lived an amazing, healthy almost 15 years. Our 2 middle dogs are well, too. They are a pure breed Poodle girl, Starr, and a Yorkie Poodle boy Chasey. Today, I was checking out the website to consider getting another pup since having to lay our Lola to rest. Ridgewood Kennels is not a puppy mill and anyone who says it is, is not speaking from knowledge, but anger. In the 15 years that we have been in contact with them I have never seen it dirty or smelled this facility out of the normal puppy scent. The puppies sleep in individual cages, but they do have areas where they are loose and socialized. My suggestion would be to go there if you're in search of a new puppy. They do not require appointments and would happily allow prospective customers to walk-in, spend time with a pup outside of their cage and willing to answer any questions you may have. They even allow customers to place a deposit on puppies. Go check them out for yourself. Some of the reviews are simply unbelievable to me. -Wanda
Got a Caviston puppy here after doing extensive research on this breeders practices. Midpandemic so the prices were a bit insane but haven't regretted it for a second. It's been forever since we had a puppy, so the instructions on feeding and crate training were very helpful. Puppy slept through the night from day 1, got a clean bill of health from the vet and is doing fantastic. With the cavalier in her I thought separation anxiety might be an issue, but she does fine when left home alone for a few hours. Such a part of the family we already can't imagine life without her. Wouldn't hesitate to come back to this breeder of we ever want another puppy.
Update: Our boy is almost 2 and the most perfect pup, happy and healthy!* Great experience in us getting our Cavapoo, (formerly Tigger) ! Holly was very responsive via email to our questions prior to adoption since we are about 3.5 hours away. We also appreciated being able to faceTime with him prior to pickup. He is such an amazing, smart pup who learned commands very quickly! Everything at our vet checked out really well and we are looking forward to giving him another fur sibling from Ridgewood in the future :)
I am from Boston Suburb, We got Maltipoo male Puppy Baloo from Ridgewood puppy, We got Best puppy. Baloo is so attractive playful and whenever he out people love him and asking us about breed, how old he is, they also take pictures of him. Your business is recommended by one of our local PA friend who got Maltipoo from you last year. Worth drive and buy puppy from your store, just small request when someone booked puppy for pickup please give puppy at least small bath so they don't stink and who hold them also can't stink, I went my friend home they know about it so they told me just give him shampoo bath and he stink free. Rest all good and healthy puppy.
Wonderful experience love that we were able to walk in and find our forever puppy. Gus is now Milo and he fits right on in with our family! 💖❤️ although he was nervous, once he got home and met his big brother and sister he had the time of his life. Milo follows me around all day and sleeps so well with us! Potty training has been a breeze we are more than happy to tell our friends to come here. We waited for 2 years at YCSPCA and it was annoying that we couldn't find a puppy and the customer service is trash.
Positive experience! Associate was very helpful and answered all my questions when I called. When we arrived, the puppy we inquired about was brought out into a play area. We brought our older dog in and he was able to meet the puppy. Very happy with our new puppy! I definitely recommend checking out this place for your next puppy!
Our dog loves his time at Dog Sense! I've used them for daycare, grooming and boarding and trust them completely. The staff is great and truly care. Thank you Dog Sense for taking such good care of Rebel.
My 1.5 year old crazy labradoodle LOVES daycare at dog sense. All you have to say is "cooper, wanna go to daycare?!" And he's at the front door ready. Pulling into the driveway he goes NUTS with excitement (whining, wagging, paws on window). And best of all, he is exhausted afterwards. I love knowing he's happy and comfortable all day while I'm at work. Sometimes I'll even catch a photo of him playing on their Facebook page or story, which I really appreciate.
We tried in October/November of 2023 and again in April/May and couldn’t even get a phone call back. We called and emailed for weeks each time. The owner continuously made excuses as how she only checks emails once per day and returns phone calls at 11:00. We scheduled so many phone calls with her and then she just then didn’t take the time to actually call. She doesn’t apologize for wasting your time, and has no accountability that she is the one causing the communication issues by her unwillingness to actually adhere to the dates and times that she says she’ll call. The stress of her lack of follow up and lack of professionalism was not worth it.
Great location in the rolling hills of southern Lancaster County. Went for a private dog training session. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Facilities are nice but could use some “updating”. Would recommend going here.
Took our 1 year old dog to Dog Sense for two, 6 week long training classes (beginner manners and advanced manners). Our trainer (Kate) was great! She worked well with our individual needs and always had something new for our pup to learn. Definitely would recommend for training!
Love Dog Sense! The staff is always friendly and super sweet to our pupper. They offer two tiers of packages and you can further customize each one. We feel confident our dog will be taken care of here.
Everyone was really nice and my dog seemed happy. They didn’t tell me how she did so I don’t know. I don’t leave reviews but figured I would issue a fair warning to everyone, their boarding costs are per DAY and not per night! It says this on their website but I assumed it was per night, given that I wasn’t able to pick my dog up in the morning. If you drop your dog off on Saturday during their limited hours, and pick your dog up Sunday again within the small time frame, they charge you for two boarding days! Good service over all. Probably won’t go back for short stays though.
My dog, Arrow, just finished his last night of training with Kate! We are so sad that training is over!! Kate did an amazing job working with us and I’ve seen great improvement with my dog’s behavior over the last 12 weeks. I highly recommend their training classes!!
Absolutely wonderful facility!! Wendy is amazing to work with. She really knows her stuff- and ALL aspects of training whether it be obedience, rally, handling for shows, competition stuff; not just the basics. She also has personal experience working dogs in various venues and competitions, so I'm very confident in her ability to get us where we need to be to compete and prepare us!! She's not scared of big dogs like the petsmart "trainers"- I've worked with her with my doberman, and now currently my German shepherd, after the petsmart trainer was terrified of my 16 week old doberman puppy. We'll never go anywhere else for training again! Although I don't have much experience with the rest of her staff, Wendy has been responsive, flexible and overall a pleasure to work with, as well as extremely knowledgable in everything I've ever asked her about. I'm confident her entire staff is exceptional as well!
We took our puppy to training classes at Dog Sense. We did the Beginner Manners Class. We learned basic obedience skills. The trainer did a great job of teaching us positive training techniques. The trainer always made time to help with any difficult behaviors at home. Everybody got lots of individual attention. It was a friendly environment for all types of dogs and people.
