Elizabeth was great. She asked us questions on our dogs personality, feeding schedule etc to get to know him better. We were able to come get him during our vacation to take him on walks, and bring him back later on, even though she walks the dogs twice a day. To top it all off, we ended up overpaying, and they reached out to tell us this, and we were able to swing by and work it all out later on.

Wonderful people and location. My dog was well looked after, and in good spirits after his two day stay...even though the summer heat was up to 35 degrees.

Wendy runs an awesome business! We're super pleased with her services. As a dog kennel, she doesn't accept dogs that are problematic (fair warning) in concern for the rest of her charges, but takes excellent care of the ones she boards. She also takes cats. It is a small business so don't expect to be able to come in at the drop of a hat, but she's happy to work with you as best she can. Phone during business hours, be patient, and you can guarantee that when you need to have someone take care of your dog for a while, the Rocky Mountain Pet Resort and Spa will have your pet's needs and happiness well taken care of.

We have two dogs - ages 14 and 4. Because our senior dog doesn’t like open wooden stairs Wendy provided us with a solution- for additional cost of course , of a separate and quieter space in The Cottage. Our girls spend 6 nights there and they appeared to have enjoyed their stay.

Wendy took us in when Unleashed cancelled on us last minute. This place is everything you could possibly want in a doggy day-care. Lots of care, friendly pups, and tons of space for them to run around. My dog got spoiled rotten with tons of love, cuddles and treats, and was extremely comfortable with his stay. Wendy is truly a lifesaver and runs a five star business.

Such a gorgeous place for pups to stay! Roo just LOVES staying at the Rocky Mtn Pet Resort & Spa if our adventures aren't dog friendly & he has plenty of space to run and play with his new friends. Wendy is so lovely to deal with & has the pups best interest at heart.

My husband and I wanted to go to the hot springs and needed someone last minute to take our little pup Winston. Wendy was so kind and understanding to deal with, and even though it was a quiet cleaning day for her, she still took our boy even though he was the only pup there. When we drove up we even saw them playing. You can tell Wendy absolutely loves dogs! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone travelling through! Thankyou Wendy for having such understanding! 👍🏻

We were in a pinch needing a place for our 2 Great Danes to stay for half a day while we were passing through and Wendy was very accommodating to work with me over the phone a few days before our arrival to set things up. Timing wise it ended up being better for them to spend the night which Wendy was able to provide on short notice. Our Danes, as lovely as they are, have separation anxiety and can be easily stressed out but when we arrived the next morning they were both in good spirits. They got to stay in a beautiful little "cottage" all to themselves complete with a fireplace, couch, dog beds and a large play area. The entire facility is sparkling clean and very cozy . I would definitely recommend this place for your pets!

Wendy put our minds at ease throughout our vacation with updates about our dog. The resort is located mins away from Radium Hot Springs BC. Our dog seemed really happy with his week long stay.

I brought my dog Waylon yesterday to this place. I wanted to check out more of Radium & Invermere and I cannot bring my dog everywhere. I was looking for him to get some daycare for between 4 to 5 hours and decided to try this place. They are in Edgewater which is just a short drive from Radium Hot Springs. It was quite easy to find and the nice thing about kennels or daycare for dogs in small towns is they get a country feel. They have a large fenced yard for the dogs to explore and interact with. He made a friend when he got there just minutes later. There are not a lot of these facilities in the greater Radium region but I would recommend Mrs & Mr Bennett for short or long term dog care.

Our Dogs just love Wendy and the Pet resort! Feels so great to know your fur kids are so well cared for when you are away! would recommend them to Everyone!! Best place in the valley.

We won't use this business again. We thought we would give it a try but when the owner charged us for an extra day because she decided she wouldn't take him the evening we arrived (after being behind a serious highway accident with no cell coverage), and told us only on pick up day of all the "issues" she had with our dog (some of which put him in extreme danger) instead of contacting us immediately, made for a bad experience. Our pup has been to many pet resorts with very little issue but she made sure to tell us what a bad dog he was. Our pup is highly trained and is generally easy to manage when exercised properly and given some care. It was clear he received neither of these during his stay. This resort is likely more tailored for dogs who are okay to sit in a cage for a few days at a time and don't require attention or proper exercise.

There aren't enough stars for this review. I can't say enough positive things about my dogs stay here. I've kenneled him at many different places but unleashed has been the best. I was first struck by how quiet it was upon entering. Most places the dogs are barking excessively and obviously stressed. The dogs were all quiet and happily hanging out. I picked my dog up to go hiking and could tell he was eating (this doesn't usually happen as he gets stressed a bit in a kennel). After our hike I brought him back and he was thrilled to be back. He was actually tugging on his leash to get back into the building with his tail going a million times a minute. I have never been so happy to drop him off at a kennel before because I knew he would be well taken care of. Thank you guys so much for loving the pets in your care and providing them with a home away from home. I hope to be in the area again someday and will bring my fur baby back 😀

We can't rave enough about Unleashed and the awesome staff there. Unleashed is our dog's favourite place in the valley. He is beyond excited when we drop him off and never wants to leave when we pick him up! We also did obedience classes at Unleashed in the spring, which were great. The owners and staff are clearly knowledgeable and have a deep love for dogs. Our pup is still young and highly energetic, so he can be quite the handful. However, I know he is in excellent hands with the crew at Unleashed. We are very fortunate to have this business in the valley.

My furbaby stayed with Unleashed for 1 month she had the best time. We loved that our dog was able to spend her days outdoors playing and not in a crate like many other kennels. We highly recommend Amber and her team for all your daycare/extended care needs.

My dogs only visited this dog care one time for the day. It was easy to get them booked in. I am grateful that Unleashed! Accepted my dogs for the day, I was camping with the dogs and I got to do some things I wouldn't normally get to do because they are usually with me. They seemed well cared for and the staff told me they had a good day. The place looked nice from what I could see. Drop off and pick up was easy and the price was very reasonable. Thank you! I would come back if I was in the area again.

Well run Daycare & Boarding facility ideally located btw Radium and Invermere. I booked daycare on short notice & they were terrific with my 15 yr. old retriever. I can highly recommend and will use Unleashed! again.

Unleashed Pet Care Services are absolutely brilliant. Having moved over from Scotland with our dog it has been great to give our dog some time to herself and play with friends at Unleashed. Amber and her team are so kind and friendly and very very knowledgeable of dogs needs and are very understanding of some dogs needs. My dog is nervous with some people and I feel her time at Unleashed has really brought her out of her shell, we will continue to use Unleashed as much as we can. As well as daycare and boarding we have also had her bathed and her nails trimmed while at Unleashed and they are brilliant, it’s great getting back a clean tired dog! Thank you Unleashed!

I dropped my dog off for a 3 night stay at unleashed and it was amazing! My dog had a blast, he was sad to leave. It was the first time we have ever left our dog somewhere overnight and everyone was incredible! My dog slept the whole 4 hour drive home and continues to sleep the rest of the day! Highly recommend for anyone who wants to board their pup!

Great place, have been sending our dog, who is anxious around people, a few times a week for over a month. She’s happy to go and loves getting to run about with other dogs. All the staff are brilliant with her and care a lot about the dogs they’re looking after.

Lil Mutt is like a doggo Disneyland! My dogs absolutely love to enjoy a vacation here. The staff is kind, the kennels are clean and the peace of mind knowing that my poochies are safe and happy when I have to travel without them is priceless.

I recently lost my 15.5 year old dog Max. His health and quality of life had declined to the point where he didn't know where he was and walked in circles. I heard that Lil mutt did private crematations for pets. I contacted Shirley, prior to the Vet putting Max down, and she was so kind and understanding to what I was going through. She knew Max because she had groomed him for years. She offered to pick him up from the veterinary office and assured me he would be cremated by himself. She also assured me there would be no long wait for me to pick up his remains and would have them ready for me within 4 days. Unlike other pet crematories that have waits of up to two weeks. Shirley's soft and kind way meant so much to me in a time of such a great loss to me. In addition to this, lil mutt had groomed my dog for years, and they are the best of any groomer I had used. They would always do their best to squeeze Max in on short notice. They would groom him exactly as I asked each time. He'd come back happy and full of energy after being groomed by them. Amazing business to deal with for your fur babies. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Thank you Shirley.

My dog goes to lil mutt every year. And every year he always come back more well behaved then when I dropped him off. They have amazing rates and a beautiful air conditioned kennel area. The dogs go out and play 5 to 6 times a day and get so much excercise and play with their friends. It’s extremely clean and my dog loves it there! I would recommend lil mutt to anyone who wants there dogs taken care of. Barry and Shirley are very caring and take their business of caring for your dog very serious I will drive 6 hours just to board my dog with them any day.

Dog got sick. First off we feed our dog raw food. We extended the dogs stay for a day. We let them know that we would feed the dogs when we picked them up in the morning. We were in a hurry to make an appt back home in Calgary. The man that we dealt with upon pickup did not seem to realize that we just wanted to see our dogs as we missed them. He held us up talking about non sense for over 30min all while telling us just to say hi to the dogs and go. Not to pet them or show them any affection just to put them on the leash and go. After all that when I go to feed my dog he proceeds to tell me that they've already been fed and that they feed the dogs at 9 and 4. When I dropped them off we told them that our one dog is fed once in the morning and that's it and we supplied the food. After hearing this he was adamant that he was already fed even though I knew they didn't have any more food that I supplied and I told them I would feed him myself. After getting home my dog has had diarrhea since and into the morning. I was hoping he was just unaware of what was going on but I'm assuming they just didn't listen to our instructions. He's never had diarrhea for a long time and the size of his business has never been that big for years seeing he's just on raw food. Definitely not impressed they decided to feed him whatever food especially since he always gets sick on kibble and I told them not to feed him that morning. Also not sure on when they get to go outside or anywhere other than in the kennel but everytime I was there... 4 times at random times... They were always locked in the kennel with no bedding or water it seems. The kennel is cheap I'll give them that but quality of treatment seems to be definitely lacking in what I was hoping. They say they're on 20 acres but I'm assuming they never leave the penned area which is a small building and a maybe 30 x 40 fenced off area. All in all I won't be taking my dogs back there ever again. 2 stars for being cheap but that's as high as I would rate them

I will admit it I was very disgusted by this very rude lady that worked at the pet shop , not cool of her Today we tried to call her and asked her to see if they had pee mats for my dog she was being so rude towards my bf over the phone call I’m very disgusted and disappointed nobody shouldn’t have to deal with that

Hide away Kennels is fabulous. My dog got to run and play and socialize with other dogs. The staff are friendly and professional. Definitely recommend!

We came to visit Kimberly from Alberta to go on a Ski trip with our dogs. I put our 9 month old American bully in with them for 2 days while we were on the hill and he LOVED it! I had my hesitations since people are often scared of the breed however Trevor and Stacey were great to deal with. Trevor was really good with him and even took him out in -30 weather, he came home very tired and exhausted. I loved that Frankie was able to play with other dogs and able to run in a very large fenced off area! Highly recommend this kennel and I will definitely be using them again when we are back! Thanks again Trevor!

Tara and her family took AMAZING care of my 1.5 year old dog. She stayed in the dog 'cabin' and was very comfortable with her own heated dog bed. I could tell she was very relaxed and at home when I came to pick her up. I would definitely recommend Happy Hounds :)

Her regular photo updates at every check-in gave us such peace of mind. Lyndsay’s genuine love for animals was very evident. We also returned home to a spotless house, which we greatly appreciated. The entire process, from booking through to the end of our trip, was seamless. We had a fantastic experience relying on While Away during a two week vacation. Both of our cats require a lot of love and attention, and after reviewing the website and calling for additional information, we were confident that they would be well cared for. The application and payment process was fairly straight-forward, and everyone we were in contact with (phone/email/text) was extremely responsive and helpful (Shout out to Nicole! She was awesome throughout the entire process, even checking up after our trip). When we meet our caregiver, Cheryl, she instantly put us at ease. It was readily apparent how much she cares about animals, and she was super adaptable to any requests/instructions we had. While we were gone, she updated us every day via text, often providing photos of our critters hanging out or eating. Additionally, she let us know when she got the mail and sent photos whenever she cleaned the litter boxes. It was so nice not having to worry about the state of our cats for our entire trip. When we returned, both cats seemed happy and healthy. Usually they don't eat much when we travel and lose a bit of weight, so this was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend While Away for anyone looking for the most stress-free experience for both you and your pets. We will definitely be calling them for any future trips.

Riley came and looked after our two dogs while we were away for the day golfing He stopped in twice, spending time with them, making sure they had water and were fed as well as walking them both visits. From the pictures he sent to us while we were away, it certainly looked like the dogs enjoyed their time with Riley ! We will definitely use While-away again !!

Doreen took such great care of our pup while we are away. She really went above and beyond to get to know our dog and make sure all her needs were met. We appreciated all the updates and photos as well.

We had a great experience with While Away. The initial contact & booking process was prompt & easy. Our sitter Julie took great care of our 2 cats & 1 dog -- sending us pictures, and making sure they had clean litter, food & water. Our animals all seemed loved and cared for when we returned. We'll definitely book with them again next time we go away.

I've used While Away three times now and they always do an excellent job! The caregivers at While Away really have a strong understanding of the reassurance that pet owners are looking for. My dog has separation anxiety and needs a little bit of extra care when I leave him alone. Irene at While Away provided a great service, she went above and beyond to make sure my dog was healthy and happy, and I got consistent updates to give me peace of mind during my trip. If you're looking for folks who will give as much love to your pet as you do, I would strongly recommend While Away.
