Love bringing my dog Romeo here! He can socialize and hang out with all the dogs which is great for people that work from home and want their dog to enjoy the outdoors!

I want to make others aware that Copper Cabin Kennel's quality of care and grooming has gone down hill and we will no longer take our dogs there after using the kennel for over 15 years. The last straw was when we picked up our dog only to discover that he wasn't fed three times while in their care for only four days. We provided specific feeding instructions and there were bags of food leftover. This was the second time that this had happened but this time was worse.I addressed the issue the first time and was assured that it wouldn't happen again. Our dog seemed stressed and even developed diarrhea after he came home and I am wondering if he was also neglected in other ways. I left messages and emailed the owner with our concerns and never received a reply. We also had our dog groomed there until two of the groomers we liked quit working there. I emailed asking if the second groomer still worked there and never received a reply. It's a shame that the kennel is now so poorly managed. The condition of the property is also very concerning. In the past I recommended Copper Cabin Kennel to friends and family but sadly I will no longer do so.

I called and left messages about a week apart regarding scheduling boarding for our dog2 months in advance. I also texted the owner. No one ever called back or responded to text. Now in the past this has occurred as well but I would have to physically stop at the kennel and double check on whether he was booked and he was. This time after 2 calls and a text, I stopped in and they had not booked him.. They were not able to schedule him either. Not sure how you run a business and never return phone calls and not follow through with customer calls!! Luckily I was able to call another kennel who was able to graciously book our dog as we needed to drop him off in 2 days!! We will never go back there!!! Poorly managed!!!

My wife and I brought our dogs here while we were in Gettysburg and needed a couple of days without them. I can say they had a great time because when we picked them up they were worn out and they laid down for the night.

We were traveling in the area to visit Gettysburg and used Copper Cabin daycare for our dog. They were very accommodating and our dog was wore out when we picked him up. So glad he got to have fun while we were visiting the battlefield. THANK YOU

They are very clean and friendly!! My animals were very happy and loved the owners!! We will always use them!!!

This kennel is superb! Our dogs love going there. They get lots of love and exercis e. They are brushed well and look so good when they come home. I have recommended them to many friends and they all had a wonderful experience. The staff loves animals and it shows. They treat them like they are their own.

We are new to Pennsylvania. While other groomers said they were full and not taking any new clients, the ladies at Copper Cabin were very friendly and welcoming. They did an EXCELLENT job on our Sadie. Already made her next appointment.

Best care of our dogs anywhere. The team is kind and caring. Knows your pets names, needs and personality. Always welcome with a smile. Especially good care of our 16 year old Shih Tzu who has been going there for many years. Have only used for grooming, but the kennels are new clean and look amazing too.

We love Copper Cabin Kennel!!! They have an indoor and outdoor area for your dogs, grooming and lots of socialization time for the dogs. Our dog Skipper loves it there and gets so excited when we pull into the parking lot. The owners are ver friendly and knowledgable about animals. We have used them for the last 5 years and won't go anywhere else. Thanks for the great experience and for loving our dog.

Our son has had a traumatic experience at a local kennel before but he loves going to Lakeside. He’s happy when we go in the door and he’s exciting coming out the door. When we had his bad experience, he was depressed for over a week afterwards. When he comes home from Lakeside, he’s just exhausted from playing and having fun. The staff is so friendly and caring. They are easy to get in touch with and respond quickly to emails, messages, etc. We always feel confident that our boy will be taken care when he’s left with Lakeside.

I left my 3 dogs with the staff of Lakeside Kennels for 8 days. The dogs came back happy, healthy, and clean! Not at all like the last place in Hanover where I boarded my dogs. I can't give enough praise to the staff at Lakeside, and Casey is wonderful!! They cared for my dogs as I would have. The staff was very observant of the dogs' behavior and quirks and worked with them to make their stay better. They even brushed them. They followed the dietary schedule to a tee and gave medicine and supplements as I instructed. I am soooo happy I finally found the perfect place to board my dogs!

I have two big dogs that I have boarded several times at Lakeside. My Boxer is very rambunctious and anxious, but the staff is always wonderful to her. In fact , they are great to both my dogs. I feel that my dogs are being well taken care of and safe. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness and love towards my girls, dogs. Thank you.

This is a great pet resort. I have boarded my dogs there over the years. I had an emergency family issue (she had surgery and needed help) and they were able to board my dog for almost two weeks with short notice. When I picked up my pup he looked great and they said he did well there. I will continue to board my dogs here for years to come.

I cannot say enough good things about Lakeside Pet Resort. I have boarded my dogs there multiple times and they always receive amazing care. My senior dog is blind and on multiple medications. They took such good care of him and ensured he stayed on schedule with his meds. All three of my dogs were happy and well adjusted at the conclusion of their stay. Highly recommend.

My two dogs have never been boarded. Lakeside came recommended by friends and we were so happy that we brought them there. Casey checked us in and my little boarder collie took right to her. She gave him extra love and made sure he ate his food an not our other dog lol. Thank you so much.

This is the absolute best grooming job my dog has ever gotten. It's been more than a week and he still smells good! I am so incredibly impressed. I first gave this business a shot because they are a family-owned small business and I wanted to support local small businesses. But they have earned Praise by doing such an excellent job. Highly recommended!

We have boarded our three dogs here numerous times. They receive excellent care in a great facility. When we pick them up after their stay, they are always happy and well adjusted. Staff is wonderful!

I was in town visiting family and I brought my dogs along for the trip. Little did I know my dogs were not invited. I decided to board my dogs at Lakeside Pet Resort. Walking in the lobby I was impressed at all of the show photos of beautiful dogs and thought I made a good choice. Dropping off the dogs I was worried how they would adjust but the staff assured me they would be well cared for as the owner lives on the premises. I chose to get both of my dogs bathed/ groomed hoping they would get the star treatment like the show dogs in the photos. When I picked them up after 3 days they looked and smelled great! The kennel building looks rough on the outside but that was no indication of the quality of the care my dogs received. If I was in need of a boarding kennel in the future I would use Lakeside Pet Resort again.

Abby, Steph, and the staff at Golden Wood were so kind and sweet to my dog, and were very responsive and courteous to send me updates. It was his first overnight stay there and they made him feel loved and sent me lots of pictures of him happy at playtime. Grateful for the peace of mind while I was away, and thankful for a safe place where he got to play outside with other dogs and kind humans who made sure he was cared for. Highly recommend!

What an Amazing experience! They were so nice and considerate! We toured the facility before boarding! they stayed in contact with us during his stay! We knew Hershey was in good hands!

Excellent Doggie Daycare! My dog comes home well exercised & tired. He looks forward to his Wednesdays there. Highly recommend Golden Wood Tract Road.

Nelly girl loved boarding at Cozy Canine for (8) years. It was her second home. Her first experience at Golden Woods Tract Road in January was also positive. She socialized with her canine pals and engaged with the supportive staff and came home happy but sad to leave her new friends. Just like Cozy, Golden Woods treated her like their own and learned to give her time/space to get acquainted with staff and dogs. They were very good about providing me with updates while she was with them. I am so pleased that she can continue boarding with Golden Woods.

We stayed a week in our RV at a local Gettysburg RV park and wanted a day camp for our two Labradors. Cozy Canine was a great place for our dogs to play and become wore out by the end of the day while we explored the local area. Sharon is wonderful to work with and the facilities are very nice. We would highly recommend her for taking care of your furry friends.

We used Cozy Canine to board our girls Scarlett & Heidi for years and they were always well cared for and excited. After speaking to Denise we felt confident the girls would be well cared for, and they were. I highly recommend them!

Our pups LOVE going to Golden Wood 3 days a week for daycare. They get so excited when they arrive.The staff is extremely kind, welcoming, and caring. I know our pups are loved and cared for.

Went for a visit to see if this would be a good place to board our pup Mojo. Sandy was wonderful. She explained all the details in a conversational manner. Answered all our questions. Played on the floor with Mojo a long time. We feel reassured that Mojo will be well cared for while we vacation. The facilities are beautiful.

We boarded our 5 dogs there while we attended a local event. Sandy was wonderful to work with and was great to our dogs. We had concerned since 3 of our dogs has been mill breeders and we were reluctant to kennel them again. Chateau Barkingham has nice rooms for dogs, not cages. Dogs also have nice dog yards with shade. Sandy knew our concerned and sent us pictures of of our dogs enjoying the sunshine. It was very comforting. Not sure when we'll visit Gettysburg again but I wouldn't leave my dogs any place else.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! We have been boarding our dogs with her for over 15 years and are able to go out of town when necessary with peace of mind. Sandy boarded our newest pup for us a couple of weeks ago and she went WAY over and above to make his experience pleasant. Thank you, Sandy!!!!

My dog loves spending time at Chateau Barkingham. Comfortable, private rooms and large outdoor fenced areas among beautiful farmland. Your dog will receive excellent care here!

I have Kenneled my dog, Thor, at Chateau Barkingham twice, and I couldn't be happier with them. I was very happy with the comfortable and secure room. I really appreciated Sandy's professionalism and kind demeanor. I will continue to kennel my boy Thor with Chateau Barkingham.

I boarded my dogs there twice. First time all seemed to go well. Although the owner is rather short in hospitality and seemed overwhelmed at drop off and pick up, but not as much at initial visit. Her personal dogs do not behave well...bark a lot and jump at the door...really big dogs and she shows them professionally. The second time I picked up my girls from their stay she was extremely rude and said my one girl bite her husband...a first ever and I found it difficult to believe her husband. In speaking with a friend, I found out her husband accused my friend's dog of biting him too. Everyone that knows my friend's dog said he would not bite either...I am not sure what her husband is doing to make her think these dogs are biting him. I will never let her watch my girls again and my friend stopped using her too. And like the girl said...about the screaming and noise coming from there...it could be true. Fancy does not constitute for a better boarding place. I found a much better place...very reasonable. .and they are well taken care of....no worries with my girls.

We've boarded our dogs here a few times but NEVER AGAIN. The first two experiences several years ago were fine. The lady owner was eccentric but seemed very interested in our dogs and seemed to take very good care of them. The third time, we noticed the bill wasn't what was quoted over the phone but we paid the difference and wrote it off as our misunderstanding. The fourth time, we returned home in the morning instead of the afternoon as planned. She was very rude and angry that our plans changed and we wanted our dogs a few hours early. She insisted that we still pay for the whole next day even though we originally planned to get the dogs at 3pm. (She apparently bills for the whole next day if you can't pick up by 10am). The fifth and last straw was when we were quoted a price and she changed it again till we got there a couple hours later to drop off the dogs. She was extremely rude and condescending after we questioned her about the pricing. We brought our dogs home and will use another kennel from now on.

It doesn't get any better then this! Without a doubt, don't be afriad to leave your dog here. They pamper and care for the dogs better then most owners do at home. Nice clean private rooms with A/C & music playing. Wish someone would drop me off there for a couple nights!

I have dealt with Chateau Barkingham for several years and my experience with them has been awesome...They are very professional and treat your pets like they are their own. I highly recommend this place for anyone who needs to border their dogs...

I just love Jessie. And Josh too. She was here for a week with our 4 month old papillion, Pippin. She sent me pics every day and let me know how he was doing. I was worried that being so young he’d be a lot of work but Jessie seemed to embrace it. She kept the house clean and neat too. She took care of our pool and brought in the mail. For me, it’s important that I have someone that I can trust and rely on while we’re away. That’s Jessie and Josh. I’m so glad we use Chasing tails when we go away! Diane Bishop

First time I left my 4 pups with a stranger. Jessie came out the week before to go over everything and my mind was immediately at ease. I did the almost overnight package which was perfect. She sent daily pictures and texts to give me updates. I would use her again in a heartbeat!

Jessie is amazing! She came and stayed at our house earlier this month while we were on vacation and watch our 3 boys (dog children). We got daily pictures and reports via text. Which gave us peace of mind that they were safe and happy. When we got home our boys were calm, happy, and continent. We've never came home to stress free pets. In fact our golden doodle seemed a little down the next day and kept looking for her around the house, I think he missed her ❤️.

Not a mindful or consider person behind the wheel of the very dirty work van. If the drivers are this oblivious and inconsiderate then I would be terrified to put my dogs into the care of these people. Awful.

Picked my dog up after 3 days and to find he can't walk. I received a message he injured his paw from jumping and that couldn't be further from the truth. He had 4 puncture wounds to his ankle. It was not shared ed with me like that. She seemed to care less what happened to him

Nice people but never again. My dog smelled horrible when I picked him up.

They are very caring, but their pricing is a lot higher than most places.
