Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

We feel like we’ve won the pet and house sitter lotto with Scott. Most importantly, he’s taken great care of our much loved little dog, giving him a lot of care, affection and attention. He paid close attention when Tingsha began scratching (allergy to an insect bite) which needed vet care, with great communication with us. He even took Tingsha to his agility school class each week (great fun had by all) and to get a groom. We’ve come home to a contented and very happy dog. The house is spotless, cleaner than we left it, with fresh flowers and the bed all made up. Perfect! We had regular contact with Scott all through our five week trip and being “fellow travellers” (in all senses) enjoyed sharing lots of local travel tips and experiences as we each visited new parts of the world. We were happy to lend Scott our car and he’s been great with it, super responsible. Scott is a really terrific guy and a fabulous journalist and story teller (you must listen to his podcast about his travels, it’s a cracker). In sharing our home and trusting our beloved dog with him, we feel like we’ve made a new friend along the way. We recommend Scott without any hesitation and thank him for a wonderful experience, we’d love him to come back and see us, anytime. Thanks a bunch!
Janis and her husband Dan were beyond phenomenal! Communication was great leading up to their arrival, especially with coordinating arrival and departure times. And during the sit, I got lots of picture updates throughout of how Isabel was doing. I could tell from the pictures how comfortable and happy my dog was hanging out with Janis and Dan and getting all the pets and attention. Coming home, everything was left so clean and organized. I definitely recommend them as pet sitters as they clearly took such good care of both my pup and my home.
honeybee was a great sitter for our 3 animals. She communicated very well throughout the sit. Our flight home was delayed and she was great about being able to cover the extra days. Her connection to the animals was wonderful. We were less organized than intended on her arrival due to some unexpected work issues, and she was great about rolling with the changes (e.g. the closet doors were missing as the painter hadn't finished with them). She used public transport to get to Golden and then drove our car while here. She left a few items behind, and her attention to kitchen cleanliness could be better, but we would definitely have her sit our pets again if the opportunity arises.
Natalie and Christian were dream pet sitters while we were out of the country for 2.5 weeks. From start to finish, they were reliable and professional, with excellent communication. They had took great care of our dog and chickens and left the house and car in great shape. Plus, they’re just a really sweet young couple. We’d highly recommend them as house sitters.
Lani is an excellent Pet Sitter and housesitter. Communication was easy, our pet Cleo appreciated her loving care. We came home to a relaxed and happy cat. I would happily ask Lani to housesit again.
Angela did a great job caring for Willie for 10 days while we were out of town. She was easy to communicate with and kept us informed about Willie, along with sending photos of him out on walks and at the beach. Angela was very accomodating when we needed to come home a day early - Thank you! The house was left in good shape and it's clear that Angela is organized and reliable and clearly loves her pet charges. I'd recommend Angela and will definitely include her as one of our top sitter choices in the future! Thanks again, Angela!
Leah was an excellent pet sitter and take care of our home when we were on vacation. Our dogs were sad when she left. She even made us some delicious tacos when we got home from the airport! We highly recommend her!
Tom provided a last minute sit when my 2 week long trip got extended to the 3rd. The previous zeewoi sitter was no longer available for the 3rd week, and Tom came in as a savior. As requested, he started his sit a day prior to the posted dates (thank you for being flexible). He met the prior zeewoi in person, since I was not in town, and got to know the house and cats quickly. He sent pictures of the cats each day and added a note about their well being. He was independent and was able to figure out how to use the litter genie on his own. I returned to a clean home and healthy happy cats. Would love to have Tom return and recommend him to anyone leaving their pets in his care.
Laura was amazing with communication from the very beginning. She sent updates of photos and videos without even being told or asked to do so. She was watching our cat and treated her like her own. Laura was also very responsive when we were trying to find a sitter for our dates and answered any and all questions we had about her experience with pets and house sitting. I would recommend her to anyone! :) and hope we can have her house sit again for us.
Laura is hands down the best sitter that we have ever had care for our pets and house! Having her stay made our trip away so care free and added a super fun layer of getting her daily (morning and night!) updates with photos and videos, some were hilarious I love Laura’s sense of humor! We were gone 8 days and when’s we arrived home our house was cleaner than when we left, mail on the counter, yard was picked up, it was beyond what we would expect. This made our first day back so easy. Oh’ and our pets were so relaxed and happy we knew they were loved and taken care of while we were away. Laura knew that we were coming home late and she even had bought a yummy quiche, rolls, fruit and juice so that we had breakfast in the morning! Laura is responsive, a great communicator, I could go on but simply put she is welcome at our house anytime. Simply the best!! Thank you tons Laura!!

My dog loves this place! It's always a great grooming experience for her.
New to the area & found this little gem! Waylon has had a few visits for nails and a bath, they have done a fabulous job with my furr baby
My friend boarded her dog there. They had left her harness on her in her kennel for a 4 day visit and her tail was missing hair and had dried blood on it. Even after they had requested and paid for bath before pick up. She also had marks in the inside and outside of legs from rubbing against her harness claws were shortened due to her clawing at concrete not being cut. Do not rely on these people to care for your pets.
Our dog suffers severe separation anxiety. We have had trouble in the past when we needed to take him to a boarder. When we picked him up from Southern Comfort, he was happy and in good spirits. Not at all like our previous experiences with taking him to a boarder. I highly recommend this company. They are fantastic.
I had colon cancer/surgery 3 weeks ago. My cat Marlo was boarding at the kennel and I was ready to give her up for adoption. Carmen (owner) was so supportive, that she would do so, yet, she encouraged me to wait. She came home yesterday, to my surprise, she was so happy, and becoming a part of my healing.
My babies have stayed there Carmen and her people are very good. They will be returning for the 2nd time in August. We feel very comfortable leaving them there. We will enjoy our vacation knowing there are taking care of . Thank you
Sadie loves her stays here and comes home happy. Very loving care
I would recommend this place to anyone for their fur babies! The staff are such caring ladies and have Veterinary Tech experience which is a huge plus! I have boarded my cats even when they have had injuries to look after and felt 100% confidant in their care. A vet visit was warranted once after I had dropped one kitty off because the vet tech at the hospital I had just left didn't put a splint on correctly therefore was actually almost off before I got from the vet office to them. So when they went to put her in her cage they realized the issue. The owner of facility called me right away and already had plans to take my kitty back to the vet hospital. She was just as aggravated as I was which shows just how much she cares! Anytime I board my animals there they know to do what is needed because I trust their judgement. I have to drive at least 30minutes to get to them but I would drive an hour if needed.
Our dog has anxiety problems but she loves it when she stays at her "resort", as we call it. She happily goes with Allie with her tail wagging when we drop her off.
Great place to board your fur babies. So patient with my nervous pup for her first time being at a kennel. Great prices will be coming back
Don't Schedule when Owner is having a bad day. Inital visit was okay. However she couldnt get around face because he was in protective mode This time I was told to schedule a week in advance with no drop off time given . Day of she text and is upset he was not dropped off between 8-10 . When i tried to explan that my birthday was the day before and she didnt specify . She began nit picking to not take care of him, citing that she had been grooming 18 years. And she didnt need to be coached because of her words. The dog was in "protective mode". Personally it doesnt matter how long you have been doing anything "Never get so big that nobody can tell you nothing" is what i use to hear the elders say. In my experience this is the biggest issue in Chesterfield County. The older folks are very rude and unprofessional . Yet we pay for services because its a small town.
They have cut my Dogs nail’s several times always a great job
Always takes good care of my Bella 💕 Katie and her crew take very good care of my Bella and all the pets that are left in there care. I have never seen any of her staff been out of line to the pets.. they all love the pets there.its Katie's Passion and Love she wouldn't be doing it if it weren't!!!! Thanks to you keep up the good work..😁
My mom and I brought our 5 little dogs in for walk in nail trims. Nails trims cost $10 per dog and they clip the nails and also use the file. They were very gentle with all the dogs and were very professional. We had minimal waiting. I would definitely return.
Moved to area within last month. Was concerned about finding good groomer in area. Saw Katie's ratings and thought I'd take a chance. So glad I did. They did exactly as I asked. I like that the pups don't have to stay in cages. My fur babies were happy and smelled wonderful.
When we walked in, the place immediately smelled of urine. The lobby seemed a bit rough and when looking through the cutout window you could see people grooming with dogs running around. At first sight, I saw a ladder, which no big deal if making repairs or changes, but the dogs were running around in hair that was all over the floor. When the owner tried to get my pup through the door, the other dogs were trying to get to him, understandably but then the owner started yelling at them, which is not how we talk to our dog. I decided to chance it because my dog needed some playtime and I had some things I needed to get done while he played. I only left him to play and not be groomed since he was just bathed. I left him there for 5 1/2 hours and when I picked him up, he was laying under a table on top of rags. He seemed ready to go and a bit skiddish. I had to bathe him once I got home because he smelled of urine just like the place. I cannot rate on grooming but from what I've seen of the pics, they do a nice job. And, I'm sure every doggie daycare has different ways of letting pups play, but this was not the place for us.
I take my Toy Poodle to be groomed. We have gone twice now. They do a great job, and prices are reasonable.
Went there three times with my shepherd first two times were great the third time was five and a half hours walked in she jumped through the window and was all nervous and whining will not be going back. The lady looked stoned that was trimming a dog. Dont know what happened we are not very happy.
Katie loves animals and treats them like her own babies. My poodle starts going crazy as soon as we pull up. Thanks for the great service!
We take our furry family member here just about once a month. He truly gets excited when we take him! The staff members are very good with pets and customers alike. They listen well to the desires of the owners (and the pets).
I’ve never had such a great experience! 10/10 these ladies are amazing! I brought both of my babies to see them. One of which has separation anxiety and they did phenomenal with him! I was called 15 minutes prior to the end of their appointment, which allowed me plenty of time to pick them up. When I picked them up both of them were as happy as could be and they were DRY. Anytime I have taken them for baths I’ve always gotten them back wet. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thanks ladies! :)
I was so nervous because this was my Jaxxon’s, aka Jaxx’s first visit to the groomer. I honestly did not get the name of who I spoke with over the phone, but they were very professional and detailed. (His introductory visit to include his bath, ears cleaned, toe nails clipped, clean up around the eyes and light trim) My husband took him & picked him up. He sent me a picture which I was pleasantly pleased with, but his picture did NO justice. I arrived home and saw my baby & could not stop smiling. He is absolutely gorgeous😍 Thanks to everyone who was a part of the team taking care of my baby. See you all in four weeks. Before and after photos attached
Instead of giving my dogs the breed cut of a wire haired fox terrier that they agreed to do,they shaved them were completely. I sent them a detailed email with pictures before the event. They did not have my permission. First two was their handy work. The third picture was my usual groomer that was closed due to Covid. The lazy groomer told me they had knots . She should’ve called me before she decided to shave them. Also note the one got left with a beard but her eyes were hollowed out and she now had eyebrows like a schnauzer. Horrible experience don’t take your dogs there.
Mackenzie and her crew take amazing care of my dogs!! She has groomed both of them since they were puppies. I have never been disappointed when I picked up my boys!! 🐶❤️ …
They are great. My German Shepard is 90 to 95 pounds. He has never been groomed. They said they didn't have any trouble except went blow dryer first came on. Would recommend to anyone looking for a groomer.
Natasha is a hyperactive 2yr. old female German Shepherd that is around 65lbs. She hates being brushed or bathed, and will not let anyone touch her feet. The kind ladies at Puppy Palooza met her for the first time this morning, and though she was a handful they delivered as promised with bath and nails. They even agreed to set Natasha up for another appointment next month. Though they did recommend an early appointment so they can get her in and out before other dogs start showing up. Anyone who loves dogs enough to put up with my spoiled beast, and will do so at a reasonable price, is worth every penny.
Love. This. Groomer. Been in Lancaster three years now and finally found what I've been looking for in a groomer. Does exactly what I ask for and is patient with my neurotic, 11 yr old shitzu mix that does not like being groomed. Only took about 1 1/2 hours, so didn't have to wait forever for a phone call. Thank you again for the great experience !!!
Boarded my 5 month old German Shepherd for his first boarding experience. Mackenzie is very professional and kind. Her establishment is very well managed, and our energetic boy returned home happy and tired. Highly recommend!!
I took my 2 shih tzus in to be groomed. I am very happy. They looked so cute! Mackenzie is very professional and kind. Her establishment is very well managed and I would recommend this place !!!
Still in love with this groomer. Was my second visit and just as pleased as first time. Knows how to keep my neurotic dog from going crazy. He is 11 and arthritic, and Mckenzie is very patient with him. Thank you, thank you, thank you 😊 …
Courtney has been amazing at taking care of my kitty's grooming, and it's very evident how much she cares for the animals she works with. She does it all and sends updates of the process which is much appreciated. Would highly recommend to anyone with cat grooming needs. See pics for before and after bath, trimming, and nail clipping <3
I had high hopes for my experience at Wags and Whiskers, but it seems they missed a key lesson in leadership: family matters. After a slight shift in my availability—nothing drastic, mind you—I found myself on the receiving end of a termination notice. Who knew that a few hours could lead to being shown the door? It appears that they don’t quite embody the "family first" philosophy touted by other industry leaders. Dana White might have a point when he mentions valuing employees and their commitments outside of work. I guess some establishments prefer to keep their staff on a strict schedule instead of understanding that life happens. If you’re looking for a place that prioritizes flexibility and the well-being of its team, you might want to look elsewhere. It’s unfortunate, really, because it seems like Wags and Whiskers could use a little more compassion along with those wagging tails.
We just started taking our high energy terrier mix for daycare and he absolutely loves it! He comes home exhausted and happy!
Recently went to get 4 of my kitties' nails clipped. I did not realize that $35 was expensive for just nail clipping...until I talked to others who could do the same thing for $5. The place inside barely had any light. There was a dog who kept barking. It is not an environment I'd want to bring my cats back to. There was no table for them to sit on. The lady sat on the floir to clip their nails. I will not be returning.
Visited today to help our dog with a temperament test to see if she would be allowed to attend day camp and boarding in the future. The staff was kind and attentive to us and answered all of our questions about the facility. During drop off we couldn't tour the facility since all of the dogs were inside for breakfast, but they were able to show us around the main facility when we picked up our pup. She had major zoomies (puppies huh) on pickup and seemed very at home. You can tell that the staff who watched her actually paid attention based on the report they gave at the end (nailed her personality haha). Don't worry - I will update this report as we continue using them if we face any concerns or if it is all smooth sailing. Excited to have a place where our pup has more freedom when we are restricted.
They love my Corgi and I can feel her happiness everytime she goes there!
Wags and Whiskers is absolutely amazing! I brought my small pup here today for his initial evaluation for doggie daycare, and could not be more happier with the experience! I was super nervous to take my baby somewhere new, but everyone who works here are beyond nice, caring, and informative. My pup left with his tail wagging, exhausted when we got home, and I am so thankful to have found a new place to take my pup to during the day. Thank you ladies!!
BEWARE of this place!! My 16 yr old pup (that was climbing up & down my steep stairs at home many times/day) somehow fell (was told "off stairs") & BROKE his Femur! They "EMAILED" me after Sat. pm closing about his injury... FAILED to have my phone # or vet info on record... did not examine Max ASAP or they'd have known was serious. I paid to get a flight home a day early, + $500+ vet bills so far & if he's unable walk w/out splint or pain, he will need to be put down😭. My only compensation was a refund of the boarding fees. No followup calls by owner 12 days after accident.
Our pup loves going there and the prices are reasonable. They even send our dog home with a progress report which makes you smile! We definitely recommend this place for doggy daycare and for boarding your fur baby.
We love taking our dogs to Wags and whiskers. The staff is wonderful with daycare and with overnight stays. When we get there our dogs, Brandy & Scamp, get so excited and can't wait to run in and play, which always makes us feel good about leaving them 😊 …
