Once again, having AnnaMarie take care of our pups was absolutely the right choice!! Her frequent updates, care of our house and fur babies was stellar! Although the dogs were thrilled to see us when we returned, as we chatted with Annemarie, we could see them continuing to go to her for affection and cuddles. It was so sweet to watch our one-year-old lick her ear and Annamarie just giggled and happily tolerated it. What a great sport😎. We would highly recommend her to anyone and would also suggest if you happen to see a less than perfect review for her ( there is only 1)I know the true story... it's unfortunate that some people are so unappreciative of someone who will go out of their way to care for their home and Pets (at no charge🙃🙃)-- it just boggles my mind and am confident they are not being honest! Suffice it to say she is a gem and perfect sitter in every way- if you can get a chance to book with her- do not hesitate! We truly think of her as part of our family now and all 5 of our pups would agree!
We were lucky to have Andrea back for another sit with our elderly dog and feral cat. She has been wonderful both in the past and on this last sit for a month! We trust her implicitly and are always at ease that our pets will have the most kind and careful attention. She is excellent with videos and communication and very clean and tidy. Again we feel lucky to have found her, and feel she would be a great sitter for any pets!
Angela did a great job caring for Willie for 10 days while we were out of town. She was easy to communicate with and kept us informed about Willie, along with sending photos of him out on walks and at the beach. Angela was very accomodating when we needed to come home a day early - Thank you! The house was left in good shape and it's clear that Angela is organized and reliable and clearly loves her pet charges. I'd recommend Angela and will definitely include her as one of our top sitter choices in the future! Thanks again, Angela!
Kelly and Chris are lovely people and we loved having them at the house! They were very engaged from the start, asking questions and wanting to know all the details on our pets. We were completely comfortable going away and didn’t worry during our trip knowing our kiddos were in such great hands. K & C gave us pics & updates as requested, and we loved seeing our pets have such a good time with them! They left the house in as good or better shake as it was found, laundering and folding linens and tidying up so well we could hardly tell they stayed here! They were communicative before the sit, during, and after. Kelly and Chris were the ideal sitters in every way. We’d welcome them back anytime and highly recommend them to others. Thanks you two!
This was my first time using house sitters and Shanen and Ryan were wonderful. She sent me pictures of Calla and game me updates on Calla’s activities. She would be welcome to pet sit for me anytime!
Angelica was a wonderful pet sitter for our dog Rosie! She was easy to communicate with before and during the sit (very responsive), and made time to do a walk through of our house/intro to Rosie prior to the sit. She was extremely reliable throughout the process, and left our house really neat. Rosie was happy when we got home! We'd be happy to have Angelica sit for us again and would recommend her to anyone!
Melanie and Steve were excellent house & pet sitters. They sent me so many pictures of my 3 cats without me even asking and it made me so happy to see them enjoying their company. I'd say out of all the house sitters I've had, they spent the most time with my cats which means a lot to me. They are kind, easy to connect with and I'd welcome them back anytime. As far as caring for my house - top notch.
Toby and we were SO lucky to have Tom be our home and pet sitter for our Thanksgiving Holiday trip! From the very beginning Tom was responsive and communicative. He was even able to arrange a "meet and greet" with us and Toby before beginning his stay. While here Tom took great care of our home, and, most importantly, provided wonderful care of Toby! When we got home everything was in perfect order and we could tell that even though Toby was happy to see us he was going to miss Tom. I would be thrilled if we could have Tom as our zeewoi again. You will be lucky if he can do the same for you. :)
5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Tyler, THANK YOU for allowing us to enjoy a few nights for the first time in a decade! Dean & Diana Smith
Laura was amazing with communication from the very beginning. She sent updates of photos and videos without even being told or asked to do so. She was watching our cat and treated her like her own. Laura was also very responsive when we were trying to find a sitter for our dates and answered any and all questions we had about her experience with pets and house sitting. I would recommend her to anyone! :) and hope we can have her house sit again for us.

Amazing place! Very kind staff! They really helped me and my husband out as we were passing through town and needed to house our dogs over night. It was our first time here and if we pass through Los Alamos or Santa Fe again we will definitely be going back. Gin and Wendy appreciate you guys!
Years ago PhD Doghouse was a great place to board our dog. The last time we boarded our dog a few months ago she came home and had diarrhea and vomiting for 2 weeks. The staff was incapable of handling a dog that didn't feel comfortable with strangers right away and we no longer support them. Their new location in WR had no access to the outdoors and I worry for the wellbeing of the animals.
We're very happy with our experience with the DogHouse. We are very neurotic pet parents and they made us feel like our dogs were in good hands. They were helpful and patient while we asked a million questions before our trip and then when we called every day on our trip they gave us good, informative updates. The dogs seemed to have a good time and Ruth especially was really friendly and great with the dogs. One of our dogs even broke her toe the day before the trip and Ruth kept a close eye on it to make sure it was healing ok.
Very frustrated with this place. Had to change boarding kennels to one in Santa Fe when they stopped overnight boarding and no cats at the Los Alamos location. Very hard to reach by phone and website is non-existent. Owner is nice but still irritated with this place. Confusing emails. First they said they opened a location in Los Alamos for dog and cat boarding and then get an email 2 months later saying they are only boarding dogs during the day M-F. I wish someone would open up an affordable and dependable boarding kennel for cats in Los Alamos.
Years ago, at the original location, the care and organization by staff seemed solid. Albeit still in transition per owner, the new location (that wasn't even relayed to us at reservation so we scrambled to find it at the last minute, no signage) was concerning. Staff seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. Messy area. All dogs in one, large, indoor room with urine all over the floor, and the dogs in individual rooms seemed distressed. No exterior area for dogs to roam, much less grass, in the middle of White Rock dilapidated business area. And on multiple locations, pickup was disorganized with missing items. Perhaps business is in transition, but it is also concerning that it doesn't have a web or social media presence so we can read info, see reviews and images/videos. I will not bring my dogs here anymore.
Where do I begin... i've tried for years to work with DogHouse but its been a pain. Their locations are constantly in flux and not properly organized for dogs. My dog got sick last stay, and came home with kennel cough. I've seen dogs just wondering around, doors open, no staff at times in white rock. Its just a mess. Lately its not even possible to make reservations because their email doesnt work, los alamos location is closed, and you will get an angry person if you try to call (who refuses to schedule you). This just isnt a viable option for boarding anymore, seek other options.
The White Rock location used for overnight boarding is very hard to find. No mention of address on the web or Facebook. No one answering the phone on a Saturday. Did not come up on Google Maps or Apple Navigation. Stopped at the LA location to get directions, but it was closed and no info on the door. Finally the staff at the WR Metzgers was able to direct us to the building - an older office building that looks like it's being slowly renovated. No signs anywhere. After hearing lots of barking, we finally tracked down the entrance. The young woman working that day indicated that they had been in that space for 2 months. Perhaps a sign could be put up? There did not appear to be anywhere for the dogs to access the outdoors. It basically looked like empty offices full of dogs. Thankfully our grand dogs survived their one night stay, but I would recommend visiting this site in person before making reservations. Hopefully it is a work in progress.
Bottom Line up Front: Amanda and Ruth provide an amazing service in both training and care for your dog. I make the 2 hour drive from Albuquerque without hesitation because I have complete confidence that my dog will received an exceptional amount of love while I am away. I recently boarded my dog with Amanda and Ruth at the LA Dog House for 2.5 weeks. I am very particular when it comes to leaving my dog with someone and usually hire a house sitter. I have interviewed many boarding facilities in Albuquerque and the quality of service at the LA Dog house makes the 2 hour drive well worth it. My Dog, Chief, participated in the board and train program with Amanda. Her expertise and passion for the dogs she works is very evident. Chief was exercised and worked every day which made for a relaxing time when he was at the Dog House. When he was not with Amanda he spent time playing and lounging in the front office with Ruth. Ruth treats all the dogs as if they were her own and this is evident by how excited Chief gets when he sees her. The Los Alamos Dog House will be the only place I board Chief!
I’ve used Doghouse Phd. twice over the past four year. On the first occasion. I put two dogs there. Both were current on their shots. Both dogs came home extremely sick. Only one of the survived. DHPhd said they had an extremely bad strain of Kennel Cough run through the kennel while my dogs were there and they were sorry. So here we are two years later and we drop our dogs off for four days. The woman at the desk asked if we would like the dogs to have a goodbye bath for the day of pickup and I said of course, please. Today we picked up our dogs and they both stink of urine. I asked the young man if they got a bath and he informed me he knew he forgot to write something down. He did offer to wash them later in the week. Nice but it does nothing for now. We get home and now both dogs are very timid of me and my wife. They are slowly starting to relax but what the hell did they do to our dogs. If I could rate below 1 I’d do it. I won’t go back and wouldn’t recommend Doghouse PhD to anyone thinking of it.
A great place to bring your dog. They have dogs sitting all day. They also can keep your dog overnight. They were very kind to my dog and getting her into the daycare area. At first I was told by another trainer that my dog was too aggressive to be in daycare. but they work with my dog and got her into daycare with the other dogs and she's loving it now.
Irina (Pet Angel Santa Fe) is a licensed, professional pet caretaker. We recommend her services without reservation. We have two cats, aged 16 and 20, who are a little delicate these days. Irina has looked after them on four separate occasions for as long as two weeks. Irina is experienced, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. She is empathetic and kindhearted toward our pets. She sends photos of the animals taken while caring for them. We are 100% satisfied with the service we've received from Pet Angel.
Irina, is the Pet Angel. She has watched our dog Poppy on two occasions at her Pet Angel Inn. She is a licensed professional and the professionalism shows in how she prepares and communicates about her caring for Poppy. Irina will send photos periodically of Poppy while in her care which is helpful for us to know how Poppy is adjusting while we are away.
Irina took great care of my 12 year old cat who recently had surgery. Our cat had to be restricted to a crate and Irina had all the right supplies to do it right. She is very experienced with cats and understanding about medication. She spent a great deal of time with Gator and helped her to adjust to the 3 night stay very well. I would definitely use her services again.
Irina is a very skilled and compassionate pet sitter. I needed her to come and feed and walk my large, Great Pyrenees, mix-breed dog just one time, but she treated us with the same attention and care as I can see she treats more long-term clients from the other great reviews. She took notes on what needed to be done and felt confident managing my large dog on a short walk we took together. She goes to great lengths to make sure she is informed about the pets she cares for. I highly recommend her to anyone needing pet sitting.
Iriana is wonderful she is passionate about her business empathetic with my dogs, reliable reasonable and very kindhearted. If I could give her 10 stars I would you will not be sorry if you choose her services she offers many my dog services. Hershey kiss is has epileptic my other dog Bailey Jean is diabetic and then there’s Jack who’s just fun and plays with her they all love her and are very comfortable with her. I would highly highly recommend her. Irina is knowledgeable about medical needs which is high on my list, and of course awesome with my fur babies!!!!
A consummate professional, Irina sat for us over 10 days. Irina looks to every detail ahead of time and is prepared for any eventuality. She took care of our five cats beautifully and our house was immaculate upon return. She is one of the few licensed professional pet caretakers in Santa Fe and extremely trustworthy. She pays attention to every detail of instruction and is attuned to the animals’ needs. We recommend her services without reservation.
I have dealt with Pet Angel for over 10 years and have never had a moment's concern with leaving any of my cats for any length of time. I have used her pet boarding and daily house visit services and the "girls" have always enjoyed either type of care. Irina is able to handle giving fluids and all types of medications. I have recommended her to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter. She also will alert us to any issues at the house and water plants when she is doing daily visits.
We have been working with Irina @ Pet Angel for a few years now and she is absolutely fantastic. Whether it's boarding our cat or home sitting she does an amazing job and always goes the extra mile. We have an older cat with some special needs and Irina takes care of him fantastically. Anytime we leave him with her for boarding we feel like we are leaving him with someone in the family. 10000% recommend.
I have used Pet Angel of Santa Fe for several years for pet sitting our cats on both long and short trips. We recently went on an 8 day trip where Irina stayed in our guest house to take care of several pets. Without any reservation I can say that Irina is an incredible pet sitter - the best that I've ever used over many, many years. She is very professional and highly responsive. She takes excellent notes and does exactly what you ask of her, including any special requests. She fairly prices her services and goes far above and beyond to take care of your fur babies. She provides daily updates with photos. But most importantly, Irina takes time to bond with our pets rather than just rushing in and out to feed them. She is empathetic and she demonstrates a great deal of care and love. She is great with shy/recluse animals and knows how to build their trust. I have never been happier with the level of service I've received from a pet sitter. Irina is a true gem.
Irina took care of my 3 guinea pigs and turtle while I was away on Christmas vacation. She did an excellent job, like they were her own pets. I would work with her again.
We adopted two sibling puppies that seemingly overnight went from 8 to 80 lbs. Both of us had previous experience with rescue dogs, but never dogs this young and we found we weren't making as much progress with overall manners and leash training as we would've liked. We were stuck and frustrated! Joanna got us back on track and our household is much more harmonious now. The most important things she taught us is where to start and how to progress. Our dogs made progress quickly using her techniques and instruction! (It doesn't hurt that dogs LOVE her.) We're continuing on a good path, and I can't recommend Joanna and Enlightened Pawz strongly enough!
Joanna is amazing! Our dog doesn’t trust people and has hard time accepting new people, but she worked with us so our dog became very close to her and that’s what we needed when we would use her boarding services. Unfortunately our pup needed a vet visit during her boarding but Joanna was very responsible and did an awesome job, threw her in the car and perfectly handled everything while we were gone and informed us about everything right away. We’re so thankful and definitely will use her services again!
Our fur babies (4 cats) mean the world to us, and there is always a lot of stress with leaving town and trusting that they will be well-cared-for while we are gone. Joanna makes traveling stress-free because she is a super reliable and communicative pet sitter. Our cats can be a little high maintenance due to various medications, but she takes it in stride and everyone is happy and healthy when we return home! I also love that Joanna is usually available via text, so we can get quick updates throughout our trip to make sure everyone is doing okay. We never hesitate to leave our fur babies in Joanna's care :)
My experience with Joanna Bishop with Enlightened Pawz was exceptional. I have owned several dogs in the past, but recently became the owner of a rambunctious, energetic lab. I was desperate for help to gain some control, especially with her impulsive behaviors. From the first step in the door, Joanna started to assess the situation. I could tell right away that she truly loves these dogs that she works with. She has immense patience and is willing to put in the effort to correct behaviors. She listened to my concerns and came up with a detailed plan of action with goals to work towards. She was always positive and encouraging, even though I frequently verbalized my frustrations with my dog. She instilled hope and belief that we could fix some undesirable behaviors. I worked weekly with Joanna for a month and the difference was remarkable. I can see such an improvement in my dog’s behavior and I have gained confidence in my ability to handle my dog, thanks to Joanna’s help. Sincerely, Michele Wright
I have the highest recommendation for Joanna Bishop at Enlightened Pawz. Joanna took excellent care of my two large dogs for many years, both at my home and hers, and they were always very happy and enthusiastic to see her. They treated her as their second mom. Joanna was always very responsive to my requests for petsitting or dog daycare, and consistently cheerful and professional. She handled my large, boisterous dogs well and I could tell that she truly cared about my dogs. She once had to take my elderly dog Kayleigh to the emergency vet an hour away when I was out of town and I will be forever grateful for her for her efforts on behalf of my girl. Joanna is my favorite dog professional and I hope to use her services in future whenever I have dogs again.
I had such a great experience with Joanna from Enlightened Pawz. She always responded quickly to messages. She did an initial assessment and devised a plan to tackle my pup’s behaviors that I wanted to work on. She is kind, patient, and even my most apprehensive dog looked forward to her sessions. She was non critical and would offer suggestions to help reshape behavior and gave me plenty of tools for me to work with my dog on my own. I highly recommend Joanna, she is so personable it felt like working with a friend.
Joanna is so wonderful to work with. I adopted a 1.5 year old chocolate lab, and he was an absolute handful. Joanna helped me learn more about why my dog was behaving the way he was, as well as helping the dog learn boundaries and good behaviors. After working with Joanna for training, she is now the first person I turn to for everything dog related!
We have used Joanna Bishop for petsitting exclusively for over 4 years now. She has a proven track record for being prompt, reliable and trustworthy on each and every occasion. Our two Golden Retrievers can be a handful on walks and with their individual special needs but Joanna handles it all with the greatest of ease. If your looking for someone you can trust with your pets while out of town look no further than Joanna Bishop!
I went to Kansas City from Albuquerque to help my daughter during a very difficult time in her life and it involved having to place her beloved shih tzu into another home. I spend a full day and a half calling around trying to find direction and help, to no avail. Another group directed me to pawsitively organization. Within hours they had our sweet dog placed in a foster care situation and within two days he was adopted. We were so grateful for their positive encouragement. Their kindness compassion and genuine care were great reminders of the continued goodness of people. They were fabulous! Words are not enough!
Joanna has been our dog walker for several years and our dogs love her. So, when we found out that she now also trains dogs, we jumped at the opportunity to have our two-year-old retriever, Hickory, trained by her in loose-leash walking. There are trainers that work by intimidation rather than love. Not Joanna. She loved Hickory and Hickory loved being trained by her. Hickory was not wild but was an undisciplined dog. Within three weeks, however, Joanna taught her loose-leash walking. A miracle! Joanna is not somebody who overpromises, instead she delivers. I was included from the beginning in the process so that I can now fine-tune the training. Overall a very, very positive experience. You can't do any better.
AWFUL dog washing service. Are the Santa Fe Awards rigged? No way this is the ‘best of 2024’ business! Dogs washed, not dried. They don’t smell much better because products are ‘unscented.’ I was quoted under $90 for my 2 medium dogs, but they tried to charge me $110 without blinking an eye. I spoke up & price was adjusted down. Dogs came out frazzled and their leashes were COVERED in dog grooming hair, which made my clean car dirty. How is this okay? I feel newfound respect for Petsmart, the budget option.
What an amazing business. Each and every one of their employees have an imbedded passion for our dogs. They literally give me a play by play run down on my dogs entire day and know her temperament as if they own her. Absolutely amazing. If Bella shows any signs of being ill, the staff calls me right away. Bella has been a client of Zoomies daycare and boarding, each time I pick her up she Is always in tact. If you’re looking for a doggy daycare that has flexible hours and where the staff is very accommodating, Zoomies is the place. Bella and I are so blessed to have Zoomies.
My dog, Pinto, had his first visit to Zoomies this month where he spent just 3 hours while we attended an event. He hasn’t told us anything about his visit but that’s just the way he is. I think he had fun.
Our dog loves Zoomies! We took advantage of a bath add on and she was all clean and trimmed. Expect a tired pup from all the playing. The staff is friendly and making appointments is easy! Love this place!
Happy until I found out that Zoomies is raising their day care price from $22.50 for 6 HOURS to $26.00 for 4 HOURS. I hate when businesses use our love for our dogs to gouge more and more money for less and less. My puppy loves it there...and they know it. They also know I don't have the time to vet another daycare and therein lies their hook. Good job Zoomies. I hope Eddie and all the other pups get the service we are paying for. You upped the game. For yourselves too.
We were visiting family in Santa Fe for Thanksgiving and needed a place a park our one year old pup. He was a bit too rambunctious for all the people in the house.Zoomies wasike a knight in shining armor!! After getting his papers in from our vets in California, he was evaluated immediately got to join in the fun. They were super flexible about our pick up time. He had the best time there. I just know it because he slept like a log all the way home. Thank you Zommies for saving Thanksgiving!!!
Zoomies Dog Daycare is more than just a place for your dog to play—it's a full-service haven for your furry friend. In addition to providing a fun and safe environment for dogs to socialize and exercise, Zoomies offers a variety of extra services that make it stand out from other daycares. From nail clipping to shampoo baths, your dog can enjoy a little pampering while they're there. These grooming services are convenient and ensure your pup is well taken care of, even when you're busy. Zoomies also adds special touches like offering healthy treats to reward the dogs throughout the day, making sure they are both happy and well-fed. The staff goes above and beyond to create a positive experience for every dog, ensuring they not only get plenty of playtime but also a little extra care when needed. Whether it’s a fresh grooming session or a treat break, Zoomies provides everything your dog needs for a complete day of fun and care.
We bring our energetic dog throughout the week and have left him for boarding, every time the staff is super kind and recognizes our dog by name! Our dog loves Zoomies and gets excited in our drive there. The grooming is also worth it, they do an amazing job at trimming his nails even if he’s a little difficult at times. Thank you Zoomies!!
We are so appreciative. I have a very shy dog who is fearful of other dogs and people. I brought her to Zoomies for half a day to assist with socialization. I took her to the dog park a few days later. Previously she had run from all dogs, even chihauahuas, although she is 62 lbs. After her first half day at zoomies, she allowed other dogs at the dog park to greet her for the first time. I bought a beginner's packet and will be dropping her off once a week to build her social confidence.
My two collies apparently loved it there for the one time they went. I was really worried about leaving them at a new (to them) day care but the staff was great with them and they were fine of course! They were actually excited about going back when we were walking in the door the next day but unfortunately there was a miscommunication the day before about it being OK to leave my 1 year old unaltered female there with them and the woman who was at the desk on Sunday refused to take them, so that visit got cancelled. We were able to find a great Rover situation for them while we took our grandson to Meow Wolf in Santa Fe so plans didn't' have to get completely cancelled after all just a little stress while we scrambled to find another option. Other things... it was a little confusing where the front door was but it's just past a 2nd hand shop on the corner and you have to park on a side street and walk around which was fine once we figured it out. The facility looked and smelled clean and the front desk staff on Saturday was really friendly and handled my nervous dogs well and when we picked them up they were happy and had played enough to be ready for dinner and a good nap. Our breeder's requirement is to keep our pups intact until 18 months old so their hormones help complete bone growth - their growth plates close, and they are closer to maturity. I recommend Zoomies in Santa Fe but make sure your dogs are spayed/neutered before 6 months. I get it but if you are in the same as our position you'll do better getting a Rover day care.
Absolutely amazing experience with Heather for our puppy's nail trim! She was so kind and accommodating to us, very encouraging and clever with our nervous pup, and truly a talented groomer driven by love for these sweet creatures! We're so glad to have found Paw-Fect Cuts!
Professional, thoughtful, kind and will to go the Xtra mile to help. Besides spoiling my little monsters, making them handsome little devil's again and being able to get their nails ship shape, they were kind enough to get my goofballs where they needed to be since I can not. This was my first experience dealing with a groomer, as I usually do it myself. Thank you for making it a good experience for them and myself.
We went in for the walk in nail trim clinic and it went great, even though it was my dog's first professional nail trimming experience. Stella will not let me trim her nails, nor file them. But they were just getting too long. Two employees (sadly I didn't think to ask their names) took Stella in and let me come in too to comfort her as she was pretty nervous. The gal trimmed her nails while the gentleman helped me keep Stella still and calm. The gal did a fabulous job trimming Stella's nails and we were done in probably less than 5 minutes! I can't thank the staff enough for their help doing what I couldn't do for my fur baby. I will be bringing Stella back next month. It was SO worth it!! <3 highly recommended!
Why offer an appointment time if not honored!? I definitely think this lady should reevaluate the way she schedules clients. I am very understanding when your running behind but to have my dog there all day long? Appointment time was 1245pm, I'm never late. She said 430/5pm.. which is way to long anyways. She started yelling and talking over me when I called to see when pick up time was at 430. I went immediately to pick him up, not to mention 30min drive. When I got there he wasn't even bathed!! Heather is very rude. I canceled all future appointments. If she is rude and short tempered with humans I wonder how she really treats our pets?? Think about it.
Such great service! Genuinely care about the dogs & offer great grooming at a very good price. Highly recommend.
Took my puppy in for her first nail trim. We went on the monthly nail clinic and showed up at 3:45. They had time for us even with being so close to the end. We were done and out by 3:55. My puppy was scared with it being her first time but they calmed her down, did the trim and gave her treats and she was wagging her tail when we left. Definitely would recommend and we'll be back.
This place is the best. They are gentle and affordable. Heather the owner and geoomer is kind and efficient. This is a great place to get your dog or cat groomed. They provide small dog sundays for ones who just need a bath. They also provide a special Sunday for special needs dogs. Then they have a nail trim clinic on the last Saturday of the month from 1-4. All you have to do is drive up and they come get your dog and bring it back out after their nail trim is done. Its only 10 bucks!! I highly recommend this place.
They did a great job. The staff was friendly, courteous, and knew what they're doing. I'm happy to give them a good review.
I asked for my dog to be cut short and specified I wanted him to have a buzz-cut due to his medical issues. I was given back a fluffy polar bear-bulldog like mix with an uneven cut. I called to ask for it to be fixed the next day and was told to give it a few days and see how it is. It would look cute if he wasn't suffering from hairballs and over-heating partially due to his breed and hair length. Also, it was not cheap at all! I am back to washing my dog after every potty break due to the length of his fur.
Honestly, I can't say enough good things about these folks. We have a difficult dog. She has never done well with people other than close family. She had especially had a hard time with the groomer (we got her as an adult and knew that she would have special needs due to her prior abuse). Every time she had to be groomed it was awful. She would be so upset even if we were right there with her while she was being groomed. She occasionally would not eat for a day or two, she would hide. It was difficult to see her like that. Then we found pawfect cuts. I am tempted to say that have magical powers. We explained that she could be aggressive (she is a 14 lb multipoo so dangerous but on a limited scale) they didn't bat an eye lassh and said that they would have to schedule her near the end of the day to limit the amount of stress. I was worried and told them that she could possibly bite. They made us feel very welcome and that her difficulties would not be an issue. From the first grooming she was a little nervous a a little upset. That was it. I don't know what kind of magic those folks have but our family has benefited so much for this kind patience and understanding. Now she does even get nervous. Thank you guys so very much.
Place is pawsome!!! Been coming to daycare several times a month since Feb 2024 and its always a blast!! Kid gets excited as soon as we say "daycare" and doesn't even turn to say "later mom" at dropoff. He is exhausted and elated after every visit. They offer different treats through the month which is greatly appreciated; picture days, pup cup days, bubble days, pool days, ice cream days, social media streaming day, brain game day, story time day, etc!! Staff is genuinely friendly and all about the kiddos , like ALL of them and it shows :) . Little dogs are separated from big dogs. Drop off and pick ups are quick and safe! We only do daycare as we were already established with a groomer and don't have boarding needs but would use PP if needed. Bring your kiddos in for some playdates!! Westie approved!!
Jackie is always on point with our fur baby's hair cut Cathy is always very happy doggie when she comes out from the back and has a big smile on her doggie face. 🙂🙃 Thank you! …
Hands down, the best of the best here. Our senior dog, Xena (age 14) has been to Paws Plaza several times for daycare and boarding, and she was recently there for a few days before she experienced a serious medical issue one night. The staff at Paws immediately recognized something was off, and they called Mike over to take a look at Xena. Mike could tell something was wrong, so he called me and then he took Xena to the emergency vet (Mosaic). Mike even waited with Xena at the emergency vet until he knew what her status was. Sincerely, it was like 2am before Mike left the emergency vet. Talk about going above and beyond - Paws treats your pets as their own. I will be forever grateful for the staff at Paws, and especially Mike. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Great Place!! My sweet girl had never been away from mom. She needed a break so after som research gave Paws Plaza a shot and I’m thrilled we did. They were great with her gave updates checked with me about a lick granuloma. I didn’t think i could be more pleased until I picked up a very tired baby and they not only showed me video of her day but had a postcard with her and a friend waiting for me
I was so pleased by the service of Paws Plaza. Jackie was my dog’s, Happy, groomer. She came out and met me and Bappy and went over the cut I wanted. She told me the time Happy would be ready and called me to let me know Happy was ready 15 minutes early. Jackie carried Happy out (he is only 10 lbs) and told me that Happy’s dew claws were so long that they were touching his skin and she had trimmed them. Happy had a great trim and we will be using Jackie and Paws Plaza again. Also, before accepting Happy as a pet client, they had to have his immunization records from my vet. This made me feel so good and I knew Happy was going into a grooming site where all dogs were healthy. This is an excellent grooming center. Thank you Jackie.
My sweet pal Frances loves Paws Plaza where she plays with her friends. She has boarded and attends daycare regularly. The staff love her and are always eager to help. Highly recommend. The photo is from the littles yard. Frances is in the center with her pals watching the world roll by.
Every time Stella comes home from a day at Paws Plaza she is exhausted from all the fun she had with all her friends. The staff is so sweet and patient with her and me. Always recommend this place. I have used them for several years now and I have never been disappointed.
Cooper has been going to PP since he was 5 months old and loves it! He is now 15 months old and looks forward everyday to being there. I believe the socializing has been key to his sweet disposition. The staff is so wonderful! I wouldn’t trust any other boarding or daycare.
We love the staff at Paws Plaza. They are professional, kind, and attentive. We've been bringing our family dogs to Paws for almost 10 years. Our puppy girl comes home smiling and exhausted every time. It's a great way to socialize your dog with every size, age, breed of dog- they make so many friends. The grooming service is also great.
Just moved here and brought my dog in. Back where I came from she always resisted going in. Here, after just a few visits, she's eager to go in. Never seen her do that before. I don't know what they're doing but it's awesome.
My Dobie Cato loves coming to daycare at Tails. They always take great care of him and know him by name at drop off. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff, all of whom seem to genuinely love doggos. Also witnessed firsthand how compassionate and caring the Tails staff are when they have to take a Tails dog in to our vet clinic for a medical issue. Really appreciate that!
Best in town whether for boarding or day care. They take great care of my pup, always very well staffed, calm, orderly and workers look happy and unstressed.
The folks at Tails are professional and caring. They are transparent -- you can watch your dog anytime on the Webcams -- and they treat all animals well. I've taken my dogs to Tails for many years and they love it!
I can't say enough good things about Santa Fe Tails for day care, boarding and training. My two small shih tzus are not the usual larger clients, and I was concerned they might be stressed in the ever-changing pack. But they quiver when we arrive and strain on their leashes to get inside. Hannah the trainer gave me a solid base for training my dog, not only in class but also for the future. She explained why and how the techniques work, and I've used those methods to add fun tricks or discourage unsocial behaviors in my pups. We have also boarded for up to a week at a time and had no problems. The staff cares about their clients (and even gets excited when my dogs come in). They may not know my name, but they know my dogs' names. And that's just great by me.
This place is amazing! I really can't say enough wonderful things about the staff. They are so kind with our shy dog and we always feel safe dropping her off. I highly recommend this place!!
Our dog LOVES it here - both daycare and boarding! The team clearly loves dogs and have created a fun and safe environment. They've also been super accommodating and helpful when I've had to make last minute schedule changes. I would definitely recommend!
Our pups have been enjoying daycare here for several months. We’ve even had one of them in training there. We love this place. The staff know all the dog’ names and their parents. We love the temperament assessment and the slow intro in the beginning. Even our shy pup Gets super excited when we pull in the parking lot. I highly recommend them.
The team at Santa Fe Tails are miracle workers! My 9 year old dog had never been socialized and couldn't be in public if there was even a chance there'd be another dog, which meant I couldn't take her anywhere ever. After her time in the socialization program she's able to be around my family's other dogs and be an active, welcome member of our extended family. It may sound dramatic, but what they did there changed my life and made the world accessible to us. I couldn't recommend them any higher!
We stopped through Santa Fe and dropped our doggie off while we went to Meow Wolf. We haven't gotten him neutered yet and they were kind enough to work with us and gave him an individual kernel. Our dog was kind of nervous since he hasn't been dropped off much before and they treated him well. The staff was very nice, as was the facility. The prices were reasonable and they provided a variety of options. We would definately use their services next time we're in Santa Fe if needed.
I also did not have a great experience bringing my puppy to Santa Fe Tails for the required 'evaluation' which they charge you for. I waited for weeks to take him and was looking forward to enrolling him. When I asked the girl at the desk to tell me about their facility she looked at me blankly and had nothing to say. The office manager stepped in, but there was an overall unfriendly and unwelcoming vibe so I cancelled the evaluation. Paws Plaza is much nicer and we'll be going there.
I would leave ten stars if I could!! The staff are very kind/knowledgeable and were eager to answer all of my questions/reassure me when needed. I have a very anxious (and talkative) kitty who HATES to be away from home or in her carrier for any reason, and they cared for her with a saintly amount of love and patience that I am so thankful for, even taking the time to tell me how much they adored having her when I picked her up! Very reasonable pricing as well. We will be coming back for sure. 😊
We are watching our daughter's dog and had to board him for three nights while we went out of town. He's been there before. Loving care. Great facility. Reasonable price.
Z Pet is the best! Our doggo is a rescue and was not socialized as a pup. He was afraid of most dogs. We worked with a trainer for a while before feeling like we could try boarding him. When we brought him to Z Pet for the first time, Julia was so wonderful. She knew just what to do and put him with play groups that matched his personality and energy. We noticed an improvement in his reaction to other dogs we saw on walks after his first stay. Now when we see another dog on a walk or hear a dog bark, his first reaction is to wag this tail. He so much happier and more relaxed. I can’t recommend Z Pet enough. They are the absolute best and I totally trust them with my boy. He’s so happy when I drop him off for a visit a barely get to say “bye!” 🤣 I wish I could give them 10 out of 5 stars.
We boarded our very cantankerous cat for a few days here while traveling, and she received a lot of warm and loving attention. They were diligent about her medication regimen, and we feel very comfortable leaving her with them again in the event that we need to travel. Thank you Z Pet Hotel.
I really love bringing my dog here. I used to be SO nervous about having to travel without him, but now that I have been using Z Pet Hotel for a couple years, I know he’s being taken care of. I think having him stay in a safe and happy dog hotel has made him a better and more social doggie overall (and me a less anxious dog owner lol). I love Z Pet!!!! 🌈💕🐕
If I could leave no stars I would!!!!! According to the bags of food I left for both my dog and my cat, during the Thanksgiving holiday, I can see that my dog was not fed both of his meals on at least one day (I suspect Thanksgiving Day, although I was assured by the staff he would be fed in the AM and PM that day even though it was a holiday). He came home injured with a partially scabbed and bloody wound on his stomach area and was sensitive to the touch in several areas (actually crying out and cringing in pain) as though he was bruised/sore from something. My cat was so upset from her stay at this place that she hardly ate at all during the time she spent there. And now she is SICK!!!! She hasn't been sick for the several years we have owned her, but the day after we picked her up, she is now sneezing up a storm. Her kitty kennel was a mess when we arrived to get her. There was an insufficient sized litter box in her kennel, lots of litter EVERYWHERE and water splashed EVERYWHERE. It was a MESS!!! We have to leave for WA in the next few days, as we are having to move and look for another living situation because my husband was hired at a new job there, and had arranged with 'Z' to have my pets stay there while we were away. That is NOT going to happen after what we experienced during the Thanksgiving Holidays. You can be sure that we will be leaving our beloved pets with the vet for boarding even though it will cost a LOT more. Their well-being is more important to us than anything else. Don't leave your pets with this place. When my husband went there with photos of my dog's injuries today to ask how this could have happened to him, they suggested that it happened at home! I had just groomed him at home the night before we left him at 'Z', and he was FINE. NO INJURIES AT ALL!!! This place is no place to leave your pets if you love them. Avoid at all costs!!!!! Photos of the bloody scrape on my dogs stomach show in the photos portion of this review format.
Love this place, so do my dogs! We've been taking them there for 4 years. Great service.
They are wonderful! My dog gets excited to get in when we arrive there.
We had a great experience leaving our dog for a couple days and having him groomed while he was here. The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is very friendly, dog focused, and knowledgeable. Having never left my dog here before, I felt good about it after the drop off. And they even managed to groom our guy even though he's very skittish about that! Picked him up today and he was happy and handsome A+
Our dog loves it here! She gets plenty of playtime and interaction with other dogs. The staff here is extremely kind and they know their stuff. They have been able to accommodate us on short notice before and their patience is greatly appreciated. It is much better than other kennels in town and she always comes back healthy and happy. It is well worth the cost.
Carol and Jasmine took fine care of my 12-year-old cat while I moved. All arrangements were made remotely. Country Boarding Kennels accommodated my unusual situation of transporting the cat ahead of my arrival to Santa Fe. The transport company made the drop. Carol and Jasmine ensured my pet enjoyed the outdoor space. Two weeks later, I picked up my cat -- looking healthy and excited for her new home. Thank you, Carol for making the coordination easy. Thank you Jasmine for caring for my cat as if it were her own. Five stars. Strongly recommend Country Boarding Kennels
I recently moved to New Mexico from San Diego and was worried about where I was going to board my dogs when traveling. Since, I have used Country Boarding Kennels twice and recently my dogs where there for 3 weeks. Even though I was worried about my dogs, I knew the Staff at Country Boarding Kennels would take very good care of them. They even called me towards the end of my vacation to let me know how my dogs were doing. I am very confident they take care and love my dogs like their own and I will always be using Country Boarding Kennels for my future travels; unless of course I can take my dogs with me. :)
Highly recommend Carol and her staff. We boarded our cat for 7 weeks and the care was over the top. Theresa truly loves her job and the cats. We will be using your services again soon.
We have been bringing our dogs to County Boarding Kennels for 10 years and continue to be very happy - as do our dogs, which is more important 😂. Carol runs a great place (clean and well taken care of) and her staff is so good with the dogs. Jasmine went above and beyond on this latest visit helping us out with a timing issue. We highly recommended this business!
I was thrilled to find Country Boarding Kennels recently to take care of my two cats. Fernando the caretaker is sweet and kind and conscientious as he goes about his work. The animals, my boys and the other boarded cats, all responded well to him. The place is very clean and super chill - calm, quiet, peaceful. Exactly the vibe you want for taking care of your babies while out of town. I’ll definitely board my boys here again. Thank you Carol for creating this place for all of us to know our babies are safe and well cared for! Much appreciated!
We are frequent users of Country Kennels both to groom and board our dog. If you are like us, you are uncomfortable about leaving your dog or cat when traveling. Rest assured that your companion animals will be given the best of care at Country Kennels. The facilities are spacious and clean on grounds that enable the dogs to have access to the outside. Dog walking is also provided. My dog was used to being walked twice a day and that was provided during her stay at the kennel. My dog is also on a special diet and that was no problem. The proprietor, Carol is very reliable. I would describe her as very professional, honest and capable. I always feel that my dog is in the best of hands when boarded at Country Kennels. I can strongly recommend Country Kennels to you without any reservations. I would suggest that you visit the kennel and see for yourself. This is an excellent place to board and groom your dogs and cats.
We've been boarding our dogs at Country Boarding Kennels for almost 10 years. Carol, the owner, maintains an immaculate facility that is cleaned daily. She and her employees are very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Recently when we had to put one our dogs down, Carol and her staff sent a heartfelt sympathy card which was so appreciated. We wouldn't think of boarding anywhere else. If you are new to the area or are interested in boarding for the first time, give Carol a call or stop by and take a look at Country Boarding Kennels...great Cat area, a large Grooming area and plenty of Dog kennels with fenced outside runs.
This was our first time boarding our dog and the staff here were great. We needed a place for our fur baby to stay and this place was recommended to us by the receptionist at our vet. We showed up unannounced and were given a quick tour of the kennels. Our sweetie looked well taken care of when I picked her up and I also scheduled her next stay.
We have been boarding our dogs at Country Boarding Kennels for many years and we totally agree with all the five star reviews. The kennel is immaculate, the care excellent, the staff friendly and capable, and Carol, the owner, is wonderful. It is always difficult to leave your loved companions at a kennel... but this is the best!
During our frequent travels, Country Boarding Kennels is home away from home for our two kitties, Obie and Rex. They are both senior kitties who appreciate and need special love and care, and every time I come to pick them up from Country Boarding Kennels I can tell they have received it! While they are sometimes stressed out (from the hour-long trip in the car) when I drop them off, they are calm and serene when I come to take them home. Carol and all of the staff are truly caring, always willing to talk on the phone when I call to check on "the boys," and to attend to their unique needs. We get a separate kennel for each of the kitties, although you can board two together if you wish. The kennels are good-sized, with a perch for the cat to sit on, a window, and in the warmer months a cat door allows them to go outside into fenced-in part of the kennel. At certain times of day, the cats get to roam around in the large enclosed play area (if they want to) giving them time outside of their kennels for exploration and play. It's great to know that my kitties are safe and comfortable and in good hands while we're away!
Beck 'n Call is clean and organized and the dogs really seem to enjoy daycare! I love that I can watch them through the cameras online. The manager was very friendly and helpful.
Where to begin... First off stay away form this place if you have a working breed dog or a dog that has high energy drive these "handlers" do not know how to handled a dog like that and will take the lazy route when it comes to integration. Our dog was dropped off at daycare around 2:20pm and was there for approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes. When my wife and I went to pick her up the front desk person with glasses very nonchalantly told us that our dog was put in the crate because of her wanting to play with another dog that did not want to play. Now I understand she is a high energy breed and will never really tire but instead of trying to mediate the situation they decided to separate the two animals. This is the first time ever that we have heard or seen her have a problem with a dog. This right here told me the handlers do not know how to do their job and were just taking the easiest and laziest route instead of trying to integrate or redirect attention to another thing. This was also her first day at this daycare (will also be her last) and she does not know all the animals. So upon this separation from each other they seemly stuffed her into a crate. Now our dog is crate trained but with only her crate and not some random crate at a new daycare. Unsurprisingly to anyone with a brain she freaks out because this is all new to her. So instead of seeing she wont go into a crate and doing something else they decided to force her in and she got a big cut on her nose. There were many things wrong with this picture starting with the lack of ability to deal with the situation and knowledge of how to mediate between two dogs. Secondly, she has never had a problem with any other dogs in the previous daycares over the year and has dealt with multitude of different breeds. Third, the woman at the front with glasses seemed very dismissive and her attitude towards us seemed like she did not care. Her "brilliant" advice was to bring her earlier when the dogs want to play more. We both have work schedule that will not allow that and also what does that even mean? Daycare is for play so why is my dog getting punished for wanting to play? We are very disheartened that they did not try and call us but instead just rotated her and the other dog into crates all day. What kind of mediation is that? There is a lot of training that needs to happen and honestly I am debating seeking legal guidance on this for the next steps because the way this situation was handled is very concerning. If a manager wants to reach out about it feel free I am open to chat more. Update: Spoke to the manager and man does the shoes fit in this place. They deflect and do not take ownership and watching my dog struggle in the crate on the first day of daycare in a new environment. Manager said that the wound was “self inflicted” while in the crate. That tells me they watched as my baby was struggling and instead of letting her out they just let it happen. What absolute wastes of spaces. They should not be allowed anywhere near animals at all. Still seeking legal guidance on this. Have an appointment scheduled.
My grand dog came home injured. There should never be an instance where this should happen. It appears workers are unskilled and unknowledgeable in handling certain breeds of dogs. Daycare is supposed to be a social event for the dogs, they should not be put in crates for long periods of time. This is unacceptable and heartbreaking to hear that the dogs are being subjected to this cruel care.
They always take such great care of my Rio. He’d always happy to visit!
The employees are very attentive to your pet. They understand that pets are family and should be treated as such.
So happy to have beck ‘n call nearby. Our pups love it here and always come home tuckered up after a full day of playing. They do really fun things often too (recently they offered a photo shoot for the pups to be on Santa’s lap). Highly recommend.
I love beck ‘n call! They are always very nice and the prices are better than a lot of options. I love that the dogs can all day play, no extra cost. They also have indoor/outdoor areas with a little kiddy pool for the dogs to cool off. I enjoy watching the live view cameras to see if my dog is having a good time, which she always is!
Always good experience with them, they know Duvalin 🐶 and are super friendly and loving to him. Good prices and availability. …
I love them. We've been taking our dogs here for years. They are friendly and really, part of our family as we trust them so much with our fur babies. They're always there for us! Plus I love that they have live video streaming during the day so you can get a peak at them while you're away.
My dogs absolutely love this place! They are so happy and clean when I get them home. Both a handful and well over 50 pounds, they are given the best care! I always receive a text promptly that they are done with photos of them looking so happy. Big box store groomers just aren't capable of providing the service that Beck 'n Call can. This is our permanent groomer as long as we live in ABQ!
