We feel like we’ve won the pet and house sitter lotto with Scott. Most importantly, he’s taken great care of our much loved little dog, giving him a lot of care, affection and attention. He paid close attention when Tingsha began scratching (allergy to an insect bite) which needed vet care, with great communication with us. He even took Tingsha to his agility school class each week (great fun had by all) and to get a groom. We’ve come home to a contented and very happy dog. The house is spotless, cleaner than we left it, with fresh flowers and the bed all made up. Perfect! We had regular contact with Scott all through our five week trip and being “fellow travellers” (in all senses) enjoyed sharing lots of local travel tips and experiences as we each visited new parts of the world. We were happy to lend Scott our car and he’s been great with it, super responsible. Scott is a really terrific guy and a fabulous journalist and story teller (you must listen to his podcast about his travels, it’s a cracker). In sharing our home and trusting our beloved dog with him, we feel like we’ve made a new friend along the way. We recommend Scott without any hesitation and thank him for a wonderful experience, we’d love him to come back and see us, anytime. Thanks a bunch!
Hanna did an excellent job sitting Molly, Eddie, Jasper, and Miley. She communicated well, took notes on our initial meet and greet. She went out of her way to help us get the dogs to a kennel when we experienced a family emergency and could not extend her sit due to work commitments. The dogs loved her and the shy kitties came out of greet her mid stay. She left our home immaculate and well cared for. She is truly a winning pet sitter in our eyes! We hope she can come again sometime.
Davis and Sydney were loving sitters for our pets. We even had an extra cat (our son's) and they took great care of all of the pets and our home. The pictures and the comments they sent showed us they figured out all of their quirky personalities very fast. It was nice to come home to a clean house and all pets were safe and happy! We would ask them back again.
Linda was an awesome pet sitter for my doggie Brodie! She gave him so much loving attention… he has some separation anxiety at 9 years old & she never left his side! She was so attentive to him & I am very grateful for that! Linda’s communication was also something I liked… we texted & chatted on the phone before her arrival & I felt very comfortable with her being in my home & with my dog. I could tell her number one reason to pet sit was her love for dogs & desire to be a wonderful companion for Brodie while I was away for the weekend! Would love to have her back anytime…
Lyndsey and Jordan were wonderful pet sitters and house guests. They kept us informed of how our pets were doing and went above and beyond to care for them. We felt entirely comfortable leaving our home and pets in their hands and arrived home to find everything tidy and the pets well cared for. We would absolutely have them sit again if the need arose.
5 stars? Minimum, seriously, Tyler exceeded our expectations and we are DEMANDING when it comes to caring for our 4 pups! Fortunate to meet Tyler in person about a month prior, instant rapport, and she was basically born surrounded by animals. Professional high energy, and enthusiastic love for animals! We asked Tyler "Why the heck would you drive 1.5 hours from Nashville to hang in our small town?" Tyler replied "Have had animals all my life, current Nashville location cannot, I need my animal fix!" Tyler arrived the evening prior to our departure, met our 4 dogs, the eldest is special needs with bad hips, the youngest a wild child 2 year old husky, and in the 15 years of having family or friends assist with our pup sitting, this is the most positive and enthusiastic our dogs have been to anyone outside our home. It was an instant love affair. Our dogs are so spoiled with mom & dad working from home, nearly 24/7 attachment, they typically become depressed, despondent, ornery, you name it, even if we go out for 2-3 hours. The 3 instances where we did an overnight trip or the like, they acted as if we had abandoned! When we came home after 3 nights away (was going to be 5 but business cut our first vacation in 10 years short), when we walked in the 4 of them looked up as if to say "Oh your home how nice" and were content as if we had never left. That is a FIRST in 15 years. Not only did Tyler provide us with updates, photos, messages, etc. she organized (we did not require nor ask) our complete chaos of a large kitchen drawers, pots pans, you name it, it was the most organized we have been in a LONG time. Our eldest handicapped Husky, usually has accidents in the house at least once a day. The youngest 2 year old loves to chew up the carpet, toys, bedding. Under Tyler's watch, no accident, no chewing, and total happiness from a new affectionate friend! This was our VERY FIRST Trusted House/Pet sitter foray, and Tyler far exceeded or expectations, and set a standard that will be difficult for others to follow. Allowing a total stranger to watch your beloved pets and home is a serious undertaking, and Trusted House/Pet provided us with a rock star. Family and friends alike joke how we are over the top with our dogs, and Tyler did not bat an eye, and provided a seamless transition of puppy affection and well being. This review may seem over the top to some, all I can say is this is 100% true to life, and other Home/Pet owners are welcome to reach out to us for further referral. Those who are able to work with Tyler depending on her work/travel schedule would be well served to invite her without hesitation. Tyler, THANK YOU for allowing us to enjoy a few nights for the first time in a decade! Dean & Diana Smith
Laura was amazing with communication from the very beginning. She sent updates of photos and videos without even being told or asked to do so. She was watching our cat and treated her like her own. Laura was also very responsive when we were trying to find a sitter for our dates and answered any and all questions we had about her experience with pets and house sitting. I would recommend her to anyone! :) and hope we can have her house sit again for us.
What an amazing couple we had as pet sitters for our two dogs! You can truly feel their love for animals. Nancy sent pictures a couple of times letting us know that they were having fun also with our Cody and Carson! Our home was perfect when we got home. They even left a beautiful potted flower and card on our island in our kitchen. We highly recommend this couple! Jim & Wanda
Jerry and Suzanne were absolutely ideal sitters for our home and pets. We spoke with them ahead of their visit and could tell that they are genuine pet and travel lovers. Over their stay we got to see even more that they are wonderfully friendly, kind, and responsible - plus they kept us laughing with their updates and descriptions of our pets' antics while we were away. Our pets and plants were well loved and our house was spotless upon our return home, and they were even kind enough to leave a few goodies in the fridge. Our dog in particular seemed to miss them and their long walks around the neighborhood. Thank you Jerry and Suzanne! We wish you well in your travels!

We've been coming here since 2019-ish (it's 2024 as of this writing). We absolutely love Baywood! The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, honest and kind all the way up to the owner. Our dogs have never had a difficult time there. Over the years, we have boarded for several days at a time and also just for one-day daycare. The staff are very accommodating even after hours. Every time we go to pick them up, they leave with the biggest smiles on their faces and they can't wait to return. Our dogs love Baywood and so do we!
I have been bringing my dogs to Baywood for 16 years and we have loved every minute of it. The staff continually exceeds my expectations, from helping with my older dogs needs and sometimes difficult behavior during grooming to sending us home a happy tired puppy after daycare. I will always trust Baywood with our animals as this has become a second home for them.
Exceptional Customer Service for Kennelwood Groomer - Shih Tzu Jonah I am writing to express my utmost satisfaction with the grooming services provided by Kennelwood for my Shih Tzu, Jonah. The level of customer service exhibited during our recent visit was truly outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the staff at Kennelwood demonstrated genuine care and enthusiasm for our furry friend. The groomer assigned to Jonah displayed a remarkable understanding of Shih Tzu grooming requirements and paid meticulous attention to detail. Not only did the groomer exhibit professionalism, but they also showed a deep affection for animals. Jonah seemed at ease throughout the grooming process, and the results were beyond our expectations. His coat was impeccably groomed, and he looked incredibly happy and comfortable. Moreover, the staff took the time to communicate with us about Jonah's specific needs and preferences. Their willingness to listen and accommodate our requests ensured a personalized and positive experience. Kennelwood's commitment to exceptional customer service has undoubtedly earned our loyalty. I highly commend the groomer and the entire team for their outstanding efforts in creating a stress-free and enjoyable grooming experience for Jonah. Thank you, Kennelwood, for your exceptional service and for treating our beloved pet with the care he deserves. Warm regards, Josephine Paprota
Baywood is the best kennel I’ve brought my dogs to! 100% would recommend!
We moved from RI to CT a year and a half ago. The first week we were here, we needed to board our Miniature Schnauzer because we were going on a business trip to NY. I researched kennels in the area and came across Baywood. The reviews were positive, so I decided to give them a try. We placed our dog with them for 3 days and were very satisfied with the service! They have a very caring staff. And then we found out that they have a dog grooming service too. We brought her to be groomed and were very pleased with their work as well as the price! I highly recommend Baywood Kennels for boarding and grooming. Brendon is awesome and you feel confident that you’re leaving your fur baby in good hands!
Took my 22 month old gentle giant And I mean gentle sweet loving boy to daycare here and when going home my boy was crying so I pulled over and he was bleeding from the ear and had dry blood all over chest Parts of his ear was missing. Never got a call never said anything when I picked him up and did not pay vet bill. Never even apologized !!! My concern was his mental state as he was traumatized more than anything. He will never be the same. The dog that loved everyone and loved playing with other puppies no longer will. He is afraid of everything . My heart breaks. Baywood kennels only cares about how much money they can bring in. Greedy. I should have went with my gut feeling when they don’t let you inside office. Please look elsewhere for your fur babies They don’t care !!!!!
Our doggy, Waggs, loves Baywood! They have great options for daycare, overnights and bathing! Wish the humans were allowed inside to see them play BUT our girl always comes home clean and happy! Highly recommend. 💗 …
Our dog has been going to Baywood for all of her 8 years of life. Sometimes she goes for playdates, and even boards there. The owner and his staff are beyond amazing -- I consider them all "pet whisperers." Your dog or cat will be in good hands, get appropriate exercise, socialization and care. You will not be disappointed! I recommend them completely and without reservation. Here is a fun picture of our Suka "striking a pose."
Appears to be a dangerous place for dogs. The three bite rule seems to be in effect here. That means your puppy will be used for chewing on by other dogs three times before they will ask you to take your chewed up dog and not return. Supervision of the dogs appears to be lacking as does supervision and training of staff. Consider more than how easy it is to drop your buddy off.
My dog is very hard to handle, a bit aggressive and a stubborn breed. I've had him for 6 years and never left him with anyone. I had to go to Italy for a family emergency and needed to board my 10 year old jindo. I was very nervous. I was gone for 27 days and Baywood kennels kept me updated on his progress and made me feel totally comfortable. The staff and Brandon really love dogs and I can see that clearly, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I'm very happy with Baywood kennels. Thank you so much for your help.
Sam has been so great with our dog Cashew! He loves his daily walks and Sam has been nothing but reliable for the past year and a half. He has done great boarding with her as well. Highly recommend!
If you're looking for a dog walker who treats your furry friend like their own, look no further! Sam Antiuk takes the time to get to know your dog's personality, quirks, and favorite pee spots. But it's not just about the walk; it's about the care and attention your dog receives. Sam sends you adorable updates throughout the day, complete with pictures and videos of your pup. What sets this Sam apart is her genuine love for dogs. She’ll go above and beyond to ensure your dog is happy, healthy, and exhausted by the end of the walk. Sam is the real deal, and your furry friend will thank you for it!
Sam is wonderful! Reliable, flexible, professional, and incredibly kind. My dog absolutely loved her - and she loved him right back. I have nothing even remotely negative to say about her or her services. If you can get on her schedule, jump at the opportunity!!
Whiskered Pals is our first and only choice for our dog. From daily walks to boarding, we’ve had such a great experience. And our pooch loves the special attention he gets!
I hired Whiskered Pals over two years ago to help care for my vizsla puppy Vida and highly recommend Sam and her employees! I have been boarding Vida for two days every week while I work long shifts for over a year and a half now, and just started boarding my mutt-puppy Sparrow. Sam treats my dogs with care and loves them like her own. Communication is excellent and I love getting photos of my pups. I know I don't need to worry about them when they're in Sam's care.
Our previous dog sitter who is also a vet tech stopped dog sitting but gave us a great referral! Whiskered Pals Sam came right over and our Golden Retriever,Black Lab and Lhasa Apsos greeting to her was very positive! After that initial meeting Sam has been Awesome in every aspect of her business! Prompt reliable and a real dog lover! She is most definitely our three dogs best friend! Andrew
Sam watched our Pug April and cat Sunny for about 2 years. April became handicapped in her last couple years of life and we needed someone who could really give her the extra care she needed when we traveled. Sam was excellent with April and made us feel at ease when we had to leave her. Sam would always make sure she was updated with any new instructions on food, medications, etc. before we left. She would keep us updated on a daily basis with texts and photos. We would recommend Sam to anyone looking for a great, dependable and loving pet sitter! :)
Sam has been taking care of our 3 dogs and we couldn’t be more pleased. She is so kind, professional and flexible, and of course, the dogs LOVE her! We know we can always count on her and we are happy leaving the dogs in her capable and loving hands. Sam was recommended to us by someone in our Vet’s office and we are so thankful for that.
1st time leaving my dog with Sam at whispered pet pals and it was a great stress free experience! She had me come to her house 2 times so our dogs could meet and I would feel comfortable leaving my dog with her, she showed me around and gave me forms to fill out! I dropped Addison off Friday-Sunday and Sam was in contact with me all weekend! She sent me videos pictures and multiple updates on my dog! She responded to my texts immediately and was a pleasure to deal with! It was nice being able to leave my dog with someone and not worry about her my entire Weeknd away. I definitely recommend whiskered pet pals for your pet care needs! You will not be disappointed!
I love having Sam watch our two dogs, Annie and Gunther! She has done many overnight stays with them and I have complete peace of mind while we are away. She always keeps me updated with texts and pics of the dogs, and I know they are in the best possible hands. Sam is so friendly and accommodating, I highly recommend her services!!
our pup CANNOT wait to go play. she loves it and forgets we exist, the moment we arrive. I never worry about boarding her, at Candlewick! The photos are the best and the report card is so sweet! She is in amazing hands 🥰🐾
We were very happy with Candlewick Kennels in Glastonbury, CT. We boarded our furkid dog for 3 days. It was a great process from scheduling to check out. We signed him up for their doggy daycare while he was there so that he wouldn’t be alone all day. He had a free assessment before he arrived to be sure he would be a good candidate for mingling with a group of dogs. He passed and he loved it. We watched him on live CAMS. We knew he was happy. They gave him his meds! Staff is wonderful. He always gets groomed there.
Can’t recommend Candlewick Kennels enough! After a really bad experience at another local daycare/boarding facility, I was hesitant to bring my dog anywhere else — until I found Candlewick Kennels. I know my dog is in great hands here! He absolutely LOVES going to boarding / daycare. The staff is always so pleasant & I can tell they really care about all the dogs. They communicate any concerns immediately & are super responsive. Truly cannot recommend this place enough for any / all of your pet needs :)
This place is awesome. Great, friendly, efficient service at good prices. I had my Bernedoodle puppy’s first grooming done here yesterday and he looks like a brand new pup, in a great way!! Jessica did a fantastic job and we’ll be returning every month for a bath and brush at least until he’s a year old. And will continue to use for grooming.
I have been boarding my dog at Candlewick for the past 2 years. Also am frequently using daycare to keep him socialized. The staff is great and prices are similar to others. I love the web cam so I can check in whenever I want. I highly recommend.
Candlewick is the only place my wife and I are comfortable bringing our dog Iroh. The staff are always friendly, and remember him. Anytime he’s boarded their communication has been top notch. He once had an upset stomach while staying with them, and they called me and made a plan to add rice to his meals and keep us updated. We feel like he is safe and cared for, every single time. Doggie daycare is great, and they have live cameras so you can see how the dogs interact. There is always plenty of staff members. Their groomers are amazing and have an immense amount of patience. My dog is very energetic, and they do amazing work on him and he never comes home stressed. The groomer always checks what we want done first, and he comes home smelling amazing. This facility is 25 minutes from my house and we will never use anyone closer, peace of mind is huge.
Love letting our dog get social experiences here and feel comforted leaving her for extended boarding. Webcam option let's us check in whenever we like and report cards let us know how she behaved when we weren't looking
I don’t want to bring my dog to any other kennel. Some kennels you can sense when your pet does not want to be there if they stand at the door not wanting to go in. At Candlewick my dog has no problem with going with the staff. They really seem to care about peoples pets and not just treat them as an animal. I got texts from the staff when there was anything out of the ordinary happening with my dog. I love getting the snuggle sessions for my dog and getting the selfies texted to me. I would definitely recommend! You feel at ease sending your pet here and aren’t worried they are scared or miserable when you are away.
My dog Teddy previously went to multiple Petco locations over the years for grooming but the stylists always said that he gets nippy with them so recommend going to a private groomer. I have brought Teddy to Candlewick for recurring 7-8x week grooming appointments for the past 4 years and their report card always gives him high praises. This just shows that environment and space really do make a big difference when it comes to our fur babies wellbeing and comfort. I have not done the boarding service yet but will definitely not hesitate if needed to. Their app allows viewing of the playtime areas so you can virtually check to see how the pups are doing as well which is a huge win I think for dog parents. Teddy is an elder dog now so he likes being alone which Candlewick also accommodates for dogs who need to board solo. Overall great services, and super friendly staff! Thanks from me and Teddy!
Candlewick is great! My dogs love staying there and the staff is amazing. They were very accommodating at pick up when there was a misunderstanding on my part. I highly recommend for daycare and boarding.
My cat Olive stayed at Gagnon’s Pet Resort while we were away on vacation. I never used a pet boarding service so I was a little nervous and I wanted to find a trustworthy place. Every single employee that helped us was so kind, sweet, and compassionate towards animals. They’re very meticulous with their intake so they know how to best take care of your pets. There was a texting service that I was able to check in and see how Olive was doing. I’m so happy with the service there and will be absolutely booking with them in the future. Olive and I thank you so much for being so caring and loving!
I have been bringing my dogs to Gagnon's Pet Resort for grooming with Abby for over 7 years now and I have such a positive experience every time. The grooming quality is amazing, the dogs clearly are treated well since they wag their tails when they see their groomer. The front desk staff and assistants are professional, efficient and polite. Gagnon's Pet Resort also makes me aware if there are any issues and my pets are actually inspected while groomed - more than once Abby notices health concerns that help me with the care of my pets. I highly recommend Gagnon's Pet Resourt!
We recently boarded our 6 month old puppy at Gagnon's and I have nothing but good things to say. I would highly recommend it for dog boarding. They are so popular that they do not have availability for daycare at this time but hopefully they will have openings again soon. That staff was super friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back
Gagnons has been taking care of our indoor cat, for day boarding while we have major construction happening. They have been more than wonderful with her and have obvious adoration for EVERY pet who walk through their door. The staff are always eager to please. We are grateful they are there during our time of need, and will definitely be boarding her there should we travel.
The staff at Gagnon do a great job! They are all very helpful and happy to answer any questions. My dog attended daycare there regularly and loved It! Sadhana is an amazing resource for dealing with anxious or reactive dogs. She has great instincts and is very knowledgeable. She helped my pet immensely. My words are inadequate to describe how amazing she is as a trainer. Highly recommend Gagnon in every way.
MuttyPaws Academy is an excellent daycare and boarding place for dogs. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It is the best facilities for dogs we have ever used. I would very highly recommend sending all dogs to MuttyPaws. Our miniature Australian Shepard loves going there for daycare and boarding!
I rarely board my dogs but whenever I have to I’ve always gone to John Gagnon’s. This was my first experience since change of ownership. My dog is well socialized and stable minded. When I picked her up she smelled of urine and the bottom of her belly was sticky with urine residue. It was apparent to me that she was lying in her own filth. She is not one to soil herself or sit in her own filth unless given no choice. The front desk staff was apologetic but the manager never called me back after I left a message and it’s been 2 weeks later. The neglect management is showing me as a client clearly matches the neglect my dog had experienced.
.We regularly bring our dogs to be groomed at John Gagnon pet resort. They are very busy so you have to book your grooming appointments way ahead of time So my appointment was today, I take the day off work so I can bring them in and pick them up. They gave us a 2 hour window 7-9. I got there at 8:56. Sat there until the girl came and told me the gave our appointment to another customer!!!?!?!!?! That’s terrible business ethics, I have a business myself and couldn’t do this to a good customer. I walked out but wish I stayed and demanded my appointment I was within the time slot. The other groomer in town has no availability! I would go somewhere else in a heartbeat if I could find another groomer!
Gagnon's Pet Resort has been such a gem since I've rescued Rooney. They've worked with him so much to become a better socialized pup and I truly see his growth and give them so much credit for it. They are so professional and knowledgeable. Loving and attentive. Every tail I see coming and going through their door is wagging and all doggies have big smiling faces. It means the world knowing my boy is taken care of so well when I'm at work or away. It's not the closest for me, but Gagnon's will always be our first choice resort. We love you guys 🖤🤍🐾
My dogs are happy to go to John Gagnon's for grooming services and always come back clean and fresh! Their boarding services are great and allow my two attached-at-the-hip dogs to board together. We also used Gagnon's to install an electric fence and their price was good, accompanied by training us and our dogs on use of the fence.
Tolland Tails has been a life saver! For us and our boy! We were his third home and he had issues with socialization. Needless to say, with all of the hard work of the staff, and relationships he has built with his daycare pals, Dodger is a new dog! He no longer lunges like he used to on walks around the neighborhood, and he is just generally happy and chill! He LOVES going so he can hang out with his friends and pesters me every morning until I get his harness out! Thank You Tolland Tails! You have helped us give our boy a fulfilled life!
I hate to leave 1 star because I'm not sure if it deserves it. However, based on my one-time experience I don't want to give any more stars. I have been looking for a doggie day-care for a couple of weeks. I visited 5 different establishments near me without my dog, just to get a feel for the atmosphere of each place. With the exception of Tolland Tails, every other potential day-care allowed me to see the space where dogs had access to. This was important to me to know the size, space and number and sizes of dogs that my dog would be interacting with. In addition, every other day-care offered a free short evaluation to see if my dog would be good in a day-care environment. I was shocked to hear, after deciding to leave my dog for 3 hours, specifically stating to them that this was an "eval" visit, that they told me that there were charging me for half a day. My mistake to assume that they were the only ones to charge me for a first intro visit. When I dropped my dog off this morning for 3 hours, I was hoping to see at the end if he was having a good time out there...how was he behaving, reacting to the other dogs, etc. To my dismay, I was told that it would be too disturbing for the other dogs if I peeked into the space. Why only this place was I not allowed? The employee stated in our conversation, "we're a small business" when telling me I had to pay for the half day. Let me give you some advice... if you want to grow your business, allow people to see your facility so that people can decide if they feel comfortable leaving their dog there. And don't be cheap about charging for a 1st time eval visit. Finally, if someone fills out your new client forms and submits them to you, you should reach out to acknowledge receipt and give some sort of invitation. Now I am going to reply to your unprofessional response to my review. You can show the world your video, because it is a lie that I asked to enter the group to watch my dog play. I wanted to see him from a distance. That is not too much to ask. Why should I trust that things went well when I couldn't even see the space or other dogs that he interacted with? Every other facility that I visited gave me a glimpse of the space where the dogs were interacting. Some even have cameras available. My voicemail, by the way, works fine. I have no record of receiving any phone call from you. I have never had any complaint from anyone about calling me or leaving a voicemail. I did no such thing as yell, intimidate or treat staff poorly. You can show that to the world what you have on camera. For me to state displeasure is not yelling or intimidating. I, as a potential customer, can voice my objection to what I can poor business practices. Is it a threat to say that I would leave a bad review on Google? No, it is purely a statement. As far as "trusting you" to leave my dog for 3 hours, I see your positive reviews on Google, so I thought it was not a risk to leave him for a couple of hours. Why are you the only facility to charge for a first time introductory visit?
More than five stars! I have been bringing my dog here since she was eight weeks old and she is nearly 3. It is the best I have ever seen. The staff and their experience levels, and their care is exemplary. This business goes above and beyond the call of duty.
Our girls first experience with Tolland Tails was everything we hoped it would be. Communication was quick and easy as I learned about them and came to take a look at their facility. The grounds has undergone a major transformation and provides a safe secure environment for the dogs. They have outdoor areas and also indoor areas for feeding and breaks. Drop off and pick up times were perfect for our needs and they made it a quick and easy experience. Josie, our very energetic 1.5 yr old Husky, clearly had a blast with all the dogs staying there with her. She came home ate her dinner and slept very soundly the rest of the night. We’re so happy to finally have a safe and fun option for our girl here close to home. Sara and Alyssa have a lot of experience between the two of them with dogs which made me feel very at ease leaving Josie in their care for the day. Thank you Tolland Tails!!
Tolland Tails took such great care of our 7 year old lab, Sophie. We were nervous because she’s never been boarded, but there was no need to be. She had a great first experience! Sophie can get anxious and has some nervous energy, but we were assured she’d be in good hands. We picked her up today and she looks so shiny, healthy and happy (highly recommend adding on the deshedding service!). And thank you so much to Grayson. He is so personable and caring and I immediately felt comfortable leaving Sophie with him. At the end of her 3 night stay, I could tell Grayson genuinely cared about Sophie and formed a bond with her. His love and care toward the dogs is very apparent. Thank you all so much!! Sophie will definitely be back!
We've been taking our high-energy dog here for daycare and boarding for 2 years now, and they are fantastic. The facilities are clean and the friendly staff takes great care of our dog. Throw in the fact they also do great grooming and you have a five star review and then some!
Such a great experience here! I was nervous to board my younger dog as he is anxious around new people but they were so understanding and welcoming with him and really made me feel comfortable leaving him in their care. Looking forward to trying the day school and boarding again. Thank you Tolland Tails, you rock!
We used Tolland Tails for Memorial Day weekend. Our first time boarding our dog, Dazey. We were so impressed with how well our dog was cared for and she loved her time there!
All the stars! My dog goes to daycare and has a blast. She always comes home tired. Thank you Tolland Tails!
Love taking my big boy to Tolland Tails. He enjoys the team and all his friends there! Never a problem for 3 years!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Quinebaug Kennels (QK Dogs) and their incredible team. My Weimaraner, Tepper, recently completed a six-week training program with QK, and the experience has been nothing short of transformative for both of us. Watching her confidently work in the field, pointing and flushing out birds with precision, was a proud and unforgettable moment. Jennifer Broome, the amazing trainers Carlos and Travis. From the setup calls with Hillary, to millions questions Kyrena patiently answered for me every time I called, to the support staff behind the scenes that feed, bath, fill water bowls and so on, her entire staff went above and beyond throughout the entire process. Their dedication, professionalism, and consistent communication kept me informed and involved every step of the way. As a canine professional myself, I deeply appreciate the level of transparency and collaboration they offered. It truly felt like a partnership, where every question was welcomed, and every concern was addressed with care. The staff at QK demonstrated not only remarkable skill in training but also genuine love and respect for the animals in their care. They treated Tepper as one of their own, fostering her natural abilities and building her confidence. This journey has not only improved her as a bird dog but also strengthened our bond, making me a better leader for her. If you’re looking for a training facility that combines expertise with empathy, Quinebaug Kennels is the place. I am beyond grateful to be part of the QK family and highly recommend them to anyone seeking the very best for their dog. Thank you, QK Dogs, for everything! Expect to be treated like their favorite client - because you are. From the first interaction with owner Jennifer Broome, her right hand Kyrena or the highly proficient Hilary, you will be impressed by their knowledge and guidance as you’re introduced to what QK Dogs can offer. Pro Trainers Carlos and Travis are a rare find - these guys know their stuff and they’re excellent teachers. Jennifer has procured a team to be proud of. Expect honesty. If they can help you and your dog with your goals as an owner - they will. The plan to do so will be specific and require You to put in the work at home. They Will Not waste your time or your money. Expect to love it here. This level of professionalism and personalized care is rare and should be highly valued and appreciated. QK is a world class facility with endless opportunities to improve your dog’s life; this is not an exaggeration. Expect them to practice what they preach. They live their values every day. They do the work and are continuously learning and improving their extensive skills and themselves. Don’t waste your time looking elsewhere, this is the place you’ve been looking for.
We recently sent our two 8-month old Labrador retrievers for four-week e-collar off-leash training with Carlee. We truly cannot say enough great things about the QK team from our first inquiry to the day we picked them up. Carlee was INCREDIBLE to work with. She is so knowledgeable and passionate about her job, which shined through in the growth and progress she made with our dogs. They are so much calmer, happier, and more focused after the time they spent working with Carlee. Professional training is an investment, but doing it through QK was a great decision and was worth every penny.
I brought my 6 month old pudelpointer here for the puppy class and added some gun dog training into it. 15 day class was long on my kids missing there new puppy but well worth it. Chris is very knowledgeable and did a great job with him and the dog has learned alot from what I have seen after 1 day of being home. I will be returning in the fall for some more gun dog tune up.
Just picked up my 7 mo. GSP puppy from a 2 week puppy training/intro to bird training with Carlos and I could not be more thankful! He is so much more confident, calm and respectful. It’s like night and day! I can’t wait to continue his training with QK and Carlos!
I have been taking my dog there for over a year for training and play care. She absolutely loves going and is so tired when she gets home. The trainers are great and my dog and I have learned so much from them. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I am very comfortable leaving her at QK and I know that she is in great hands.
Carlos and the QK team did a fabulous job on training my lab. It's a blast to watch her enjoy the freedom of off leash exploring. Amazing upland bird capabilities too! Extremely professional establishment and wonderful people. Highly recommend!
Personally speaking, the grounds are amazing. The property is absolutely perfect for training dogs. So glad that we chose QK Kennels. I dealt with Hilary and Carlos. And I would certainly utilize them again. Our little fireball has learned so many good things from this location. And we are quite happy with the results. Thank you so much!
Quinebaug Kennels is in my view the best dog training facility in New England. Their staff has deep experience and talent, and the produce astounding results.
Went for puppy boot camp and couldn't be happier. The staff worked with our 9 y/o daughter to help her feel confident in what she was doing with our 4 month old husky. We will absolutely be back for play care for continued work and training. Doesn't hurt to have a tired puppy at the end of it all either.
This was our first time boarding at Bark Inn Kennels but it will not be our last. Diane was welcoming and the dogs seemed to be happy there. She took the time to let our dogs get adjusted to the surroundings rather than just put them directly into the kennels. She was very accommodating when we asked to put up the dogs outside her stated pick up hours. Also to her credit, the dogs did not come home smelling like they had been in a kennel for 4 days!
I have been bringing my sweet girl to Diane for what feels like a long time now. She loves the care and connection that Diane provides to her. It is clear that Diane knows her personality and they have a bond. Its here she has the best care that can be offered away from home. Diane sends me pictures of her playing and enjoying her days when she has her. Diane is always responsive and kind in our interactions. I can now say that this is my girls home away from home. If your looking for a lasting partner you can depend on to care for your love I highly recommend Bark Inn!!
We recently boarded our 2 male dogs, a 10 year old Golden mix and a 10 month old Doberman. They were well cared for and exercised. Diane was kind enough to send updates, including pictures, to reassure us that we made the right choice for our beloved pets while we were out of town. We highly recommend Bark Inn Kennels!
Today was a hard day as it was the last time my pups would stay with Diane at Bark Inn Kennels. Unfortunately we are moving and the standard she set makes finding a new kennel next to impossible. If we weren't moving so far away I would make the trip up just so our pups could stay with her. They absolutely love going to Bark Inn which fills my heart with joy. They can't talk or tell us personally how much they love it here but their wagging tails and puppy smiles say it all. I have been going to this kennel for 25 years and it is by far the ABSOLUTE BEST kennel around. You will feel your pups are staying at a five star all-inclusive resort. I wish all kennels were as good as Bark Inn and the owners loved the dogs as much as Diane does. It is more than five stars and I promise you will be glad you found this treasure!!! Sarah M. Diane at Bark inn kennels was excellent. She is so caring, attentive to your pet. This was the first time I left my dog since I rescued him in 2017. She reassured me every thing will be fine enjoy your 5 day vacation. She texted me everyday how he was doing, even sent a picture of him, and said he is such a good boy The facility was immaculate. I would highly recommend this kennel for your pet. 🐕
Bark Inn Kennel is fabulous. We boarded our dog there for the first time in July. We called ahead to see if would could check out the facility and Diane could not have been more gracious. She showed us around, explained the daily routine and made us feel very comfortable leaving our Daisy girl in her care. We got a daily text message and photos of how she was doing. When we picked her up after 4 days she was has happy as can be. I highly recommend Bark Inn Kennel, you won't be disappointed in the care your pet gets while you are away.
I can't express how much I loved Diane at Bark Inn Kennels! I was so anxious about having to board my 6mos. old puppy, I had a placed booked as I was leaving in 5 days!! Although I just couldn't shake the feeling it wasn't the right place- for him. I called Bark Inn Kennels and as soon as I spoke to Diane I felt comfort. We visited and my pup was anxious as he wasn't use to being around so many dogs, Diane spent time explaining the schedule, her love for her families & their dogs, the schedule, her beliefs & passion. Spent time with Nico to make sure he would be comfortable with her and the facility. I knew I had found the place. Needless to say I canceled the other facility and Nico was signed up with Diane at Bark Inn Kennels. This mama cried at drop off but Diane sent an update two hours after I dropped off Nico. I was so relieved it meant so much to me. I received updates throughout the week and I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing Nico was having fun and was in good hands. When I picked him up he was happy and looked great! We will be back to see you Diane Thank you so much! Kim & Nico
Bark Inn made us feel comfortable from the first encounter. Our dogs were able to sniff around and get used to the property with me present. We received multiple texts and photos updating us on the status of our girls throughout their stay. It’s a 45 minute drive for us but totally worth it. We will definitely be back! Thank you for making the experience fantastic!!
Highly recommend Bark Inn…they were very responsive, reservation process was simple, and had great communication during my pet’s stay. Will definitely be using them again for my next trip!
Our 2 English Bulldogs had a great experience at Bark Inn. It is a very clean facility and Diane really cares about the fur babies. She sent us text updates throughout the weekend which we loved and we would definitely recommend!!!
I am very happy using Cute Critters. My dogs are excited to see them every time they come. I know they take good care of my pets, they always send me an update on how they are doing and often a picture too. They have come on short notice when I have an emergency and everyone is so friendly and nice!
So thankful to Cute Critters for taking care of my baby (cat) while we were on vacation for a week! Tayler communicated clearly and arranged a meet and greet promptly to meet us and learn about kitty’s routine. She texted us updates on how kitty was doing throughout our time away to put us at ease. Will definitely be reaching out for future trips!
I am a very nervous Cat Mom however Carrie and Tayler have made me calmer ! Carrie was great - she let me know when she was on her way - when she got there and sent pictures so i could rest easy. I am very happy i found Cute Critters and look forward to having Carrie and Tayler care for my babies in the future.
Cute Critters Pet Sitter LLC rocks! Their team is always on the ball, super dedicated, and knows their furry friends inside and out. They're like pet whisperers—knowledgeable about every breed imaginable! When we're away, we never worry because they're reliable and keep us in the loop with clear communication. They send us updates and adorable photos via text, which always brighten our day. Their payment system is a breeze, and we get handy alerts about upcoming visits—no stress, just peace of mind. Overall, they're paws-down awesome and make being away from our pets a lot easier.
Tayler is absolutely wonderful! She has always been more than accommodating, especially when one of our cats had CHF and another who has diabetes and hyperthyroidism, both of which require extra time and medication being administered. Our cat with diabetes has always been very shy around new people, but she was willing to do whatever it took to get him his meds. He has warmed up to her. We’re always comfortable being away knowing she’s taking care of them.
Tayler and her team are excellent. My critters love their visits with the ladies! The updates are so great.I highly recommend Cute Critter Pet Sitters! Always there when you need them!!
I am so grateful I found Cute Critters Pet sitters! I am a single professional who has always had dogs and, as a consequence, have always had pet sitters. Of all the sitters I’ve had in the last 30 years Tayler and the staff at Cute Critters have been the absolute best! First, Tayler has several animal behavior and grooming certifications, so she knows so much about dogs, cats, goats horses….she’s a fantastic person to ask pet related questions! My dog Madeleine is ….selective…about the dogs she meets. Since Tayler is a certified pet behaviorist who worked many years training dogs, she was full of inspired ideas. For example, she had the fantastic idea of putting peanut butter on a wooden spoon and using the treat to keep my dog focused and desensitize her to the dogs she meets. No other dog sitter/trainer ever thought to do that! Now my trips around the neighborhood are much less stressful and the dog is much happier! Second, Cute Critters has excellent communication. For each visit I get a text message, often with a photo of my dog having a great time. The text also lets me know she ate, had her snack, and—like a lottery win—when she pooped! Finally, my dog adores her! Cute Critters offers a free meet and greet and my dog Madeleine loved Tayler from the first minute. After spending time with Tayler, when I come home, my dog is chill and happy. As a long-time pet mom, I can highly recommend Cute Critters! They are the best in the business!
Tayler has stayed at our house and taken care of our pets and done a great job! The animals loved having her here and we could relax while away knowing they are in great hands! We loved how she sent us pictures of our two boys and let us know how they were doing. We highly recommend her!!!
Tayler made it so easy to leave on vacation to see our grandson in Colorado! She is so great with the dogs. We would definitely have her stay with our pups again. She sent pictures and videos of the pups which were so great! I highly recommend her. She is awesome!!
We reached out to Tayler just a week before the 4th of July for a week long sitting request plus another drop by request. While we were desperate to find someone, we weren’t going to compromise the care for our fur kids. She responded to my inquiry right away and we scheduled the meet and greet that same day. We have two Shepherds that have only ever stayed with family/family friends so we were very anxious about having someone new. Our kids LOVED Tayler and warmed up to her right away! She took such great care of them, sent pictures and videos frequently, and we were worry free for our whole trip. Worth every penny for the experience we had with her. Will definitely be calling her again when we travel next!
We absolutely love The Good DoG Spot. All of the staff have loved our pups like they are their own. The facility is always clean and safe for our pup. One of our pups had a serious medical condition and they always accommodated her needs and communicated well with us regarding her days. Up until our sweet girl passed she loved going here. She would wiggle her butt all the way in the door. Our new guy loves his daycare days just as much as our sweet girl did, also does the wiggles all the way in. We are so grateful to have a place to send Comet for daycare and for boarding when we are away that we trust completely. Thank you so much.
Our 2y springer who has separation anxiety has been a fulltime attendee. He is happy and always clean! They have made a few accommodations for him w his issues. We are so happy w his care and they have truly saved our life! We still work fulltime.
They take good care of the dogs they watch. Our dog has been going there for almost a year now. And he loves going there The people who work there are very caring!
We have been boarding and taking our pup to daycare at The Good Dog Spot for the last couple of years and couldn't be more pleased! The owner and the staff all do a great job and are super responsive and flexible. They all really seem to like dogs and are knowledgeable about them as well. The system for reserving boarding is easy and quick. Our dog loves the days that he goes for daycare and comes home happy and tired from all his fun. I also appreciate that they keep us up to date with news and regarding any paperwork that they need from us. We feel really confident taking our pup to The Good Dog Spot. We know he is safe, happy, and well cared for!
Unbelievably great staff at the Good Dog Spot - all of the employees are amazing, special shout out to Lauren! We have been customers for several years for both day care and boarding and have nothing but amazing things to say about how much our beagle Daisy loves this place. We have recommended GDS to several friends and are so glad we discovered this gem. It's always clean, smells fresh, and offers lots of activities inside and out for the dogs. The staff are all professionally trained and genuinely show a love for dogs.
We’ve had great experiences having our dogs groomed here! Super nice, professional, and helpful staff, and even helped us find a sooner appointment that we needed. Artemis & Apollo looked & smelled great after their time at The Good Dog Spot 👌🏼 We will be back! …
Great dog spot @ the Good Dog Spot. Employees treat and know the dogs very well. Facility is clean. The open environment assures that dogs get plenty of exercise, while also supervised (getting human attention, too). When I pick up my dog, she's happy, healthy & exhausted.
My dog has come to the Good Dog Spot for both daycare and boarding since he was only a few months old (he’ll turn 3 soon) and I’m pretty sure he would live here if I let him. As soon as the building comes into view he starts freaking out with excitement and nearly tears my arm off trying to get inside as quickly as possible. The staff is all very friendly and anytime I go away I have peace of mind that he is happy and well taken care of.
My black lab Juno has been going to The Good Dog Spot for years, from training, day care, boarding to play groups and grooming. The staff are excellent and it has been a great experience! Juno loves her home away from home!
I feel like my dog is the mayor of The Good Dog Spot. We love it for daycare and boarding.
A year ago, I adopted Danbi from a shelter, and she was skittish and nervous. However, Dee's guidance and expertise have brought about a significant positive change in Danbi. She's now more self-assured, and people even compliment her on her good behavior. Dee is not only incredibly kind but also always eager to assist. She possesses an impressive understanding of dogs. With her help, my dog learned essential obedience skills and a bunch of fun tricks too. Though Danbi still gets nervous around unfamiliar faces when I'm not around, Dee continues to support us. Her suggestions have been really helpful, and I'm confident that, with her guidance, Danbi's anxiety will improve over time. If you're in search of a skilled and compassionate dog trainer, I wholeheartedly endorse Dee. My dog's progress shows she is awesome at what she does.
YOU WILL FIND NO ONE BETTER. Dee is a true gem, she knows her stuff inside and out. We started working with Dee when our puppy was three months old and have seen THE BIGGEST change in him. She is attentive from the second she steps out of her car until the end of the lesson. She truly has your pups best interest in mind which is absolutely what we wanted in a dog trainer. I cannot recommend PBDogs enough!!
Dee is a true angel. Our Doberman has grown leaps and bounds from working with Dee. When we found out we were expecting our first child, we knew it was imperative we get our stubborn, wild puppy under control. She taught us how to properly relay expectations and unlearn our bad habits to yield the results of a well trained dog in the end. She really took the time to understand our dogs behavior so we could tailor our approach in training. I recommend anyone and everyone to her who is in the market for a truly professional trainer. 100/10.
We’ve been taking Remi to Dee’s classes for two years now. She’s awesome! Dee is great at observing how dogs and their people work together in class and making adjustments to improve their working relationship. Dee loves every dog in her class (not just the “good” ones) and takes extra time with individuals and their dogs if they are struggling with a concept. She works on similar drills each week to reinforce past learning, but also adds new skills, tricks, or games so new learning continues. We have a very enjoyable relationship with Remi because of what we have learned from Dee.
We have worked with several trainers, and Deanna is truly the best! She encourages you to train the dog in front of you and meet them where they are, and helps to develop skills that are actually useful in daily life. Both of our dogs love her and we have found success with each, even though they have very different personalities and motivations. We hope to work with her for a long time!
PBDT is a great place to go for dog training. Regardless if you are a novice just starting out or someone who's been training dogs yourself for several years and is looking to have an outside view to help critique. She offers private lessons, home visits, group classes and is very knowledgeable with a balanced outlook on training the dog in front of you and working on the problems at hand taking into Factor the dog. She is always going to conferences and furthering her knowledge, I would highly recommend her!
Deanna helped me train my doberman!! we were kicked out of another dog training class for reactivity and after doing weekly drop in classes and some private training im so much happier with my relationship with my dog. he is way less reactive and often times has no reaction to another dog. could not have done that without her patience and expertise! highly recommend
We have worked with Dee for over 2 years now and have seen such huge growth in our two dogs. We have been able to better understand our dogs and build better relationships with them. She's the absolute best!
I thought it was my dog that needed training but it was actually me. Deanna rocks; our dog is perfect, she follows up when we forget to reply, and is all around just an awesome trainer.
I cannot recommend Dee's dog training services enough! She is so knowledgable, patient, passionate, and reliable. She's helped our challenging rescue dog settle into her new home and become more confident. Every session we have she creates an updated spreadsheet so I know exactly what we need to work on in-between sessions. Her balanced approach has proven to be highly effective with our pup and I look forward to seeing our dog's continued growth while working with Dee!
Had such a good experience today for my dogs swimming lesson! Such knowledgable and caring staff. My Doberman sinks in the water, by the end of the lesson he was kicking all 4 feet! Can’t wait to continue and possibly do dock diving!
Had a great time at Millie’s first “Try It” session for dock diving! She loved it and both trainers were very helpful in their instruction. She did great and it made me so happy to see her do well!
We had scheduled drop off at 6:30 am. Staff did not accept our dog until 6:50am. Report cards are reported to be generated daily. We got photos 2 days out of a 5 day stay. We also paid for daycare and he was not with other dogs with the exception of 1 puppy. We paid for an exit bath $49 and he was viably dirty and had a strong odor to him when we picked him up. The week prior we had a similar experience after paying for a bath at pick up time he had a line on all paws with yellow on his fur. When we got home he drank a large bowl of water leading me to believe there may be a water restriction while being boarded. We will never use wagging tails again.
I was very upset when I picked up my Rottweiler after my vacation. I was given one price when I left and an increase in price when I returned. When I questioned it, I was treated very rudely by the manager. She spoke to me in a very unprofessional manner. The manager mentioned numerous times that she is putting her daughter through college and can’t adjust price or give discounts. I requested that my dog receive an exit bath and she was returned with a horrible stench and had diarrhea. They did not specify why she had diarrhea. In addition, we called to let them know that our flight was delayed and they never shared that she had diarrhea. I will never put my dog there again and I don’t think they have good hygiene habits in their kennel.
I took my time composing this, as I was very upset initially. I was spoken to rudely on the phone and at drop off, but I let that go. I took my dog for the required 5 hour evaluation to board. My usual kennel I board her at every year had no more space, so I sought another option. I dropped her and assumed all was well. Upon my pick up of her 5 hours later I was informed she was never removed from the kennel due to her high levels of stress. I never received a call from them to have the option to pick her up. I asked why I wasn’t informed of her extreme distress and was met with literally no answer. She had a large cut on her nose, she and was ill for two days after. She boards every year and has never had an issue before, she is very social and goes to the dog park weekly. I can’t understand why I wouldn’t be informed of her panic when it went on for the whole 5 hours so I could choose to come get her. There was no explanation for the cut on her nose. I don’t know what happens there, but I certainly would not recommend.
I hurt my back , and have a yellow Labrador retriever 12 week old puppy couldn’t take care of him!!! Call Wagging tails. And they took him right in. Went to pick him up all I saw was a happy little puppy. they were great they checked with my vet make sure he had all his shots!!! Took him back today!! he couldn’t get in the door quick enough he just loves the staff I say five stars!!! Somehow it says for trying to get it to say five but definitely a five star
Went twice I will not go back I found a better place I travel an hr away. This last time we waited an hr appointment. The pool is still green algae, trainer stated that don't bring her ball she ll drink the water which make her stomach turn No in reality the green algae just for her being in the pool and her cleaning her selfafter wards she might have systems such as know diarrhea .cyanobacteria is poisonous and could be life threatening so please dont go to this place I found a better place where there is actually a private lesson for an hr where the pool is clean they have multiple other events they train there cheaper by 10 bucks there punctual. I can only imagine what the kennels look like at this wagging tails facility if what this pool looks like.and my dog is my service dog can't go anywhere hopefully when I go to my doctor s appointment she diarrhea s before going in to the va .
Rosa loved her stay here! I'll use these guys again! Highly recommend! When she came back home, it was a seamless transition. Like we never left. This place is the next best thing to staying at 'grandma's house'! So cool! Staff treated my little girl like she was family. I loved the photos and reports they sent daily. This feature was so beneficial to my piece of mind while away. I enjoyed seeing her smiling face playing with other dogs and making friends. Excellent social interaction they are promoting by mixing dogs based on personality and not size. This is a great place that understands how to treat our little fur babies. Its definitely not just a kennel. It's her home away from home. I'm considering using the daycare program to teach Rosie how to swim. We'll be back!
Hired for a week only showed up for two days, lost two cats, non-hired individuals entered our home, door unlocked, alarm broken, keys not returned so locks had to be replaced *documentation provided by police who arrived on site when arrived and home unlocked, dark and contents proved no one had entered for five days! Cugo was reprehensibley rude, unprofessional
Maximiliano had the best time of his life. Staff and owners were extremely attentive and amazing. I was not wrong when I decide to drive for 90 minutes to bring Maximiliano there for a few hours. I wish I could live closer so that we could bring Max every day. We LOVE this place.
