Mary was fantastic from start to finish and looked after our elderly dog with love and attention to her needs. She also looked after our home with respect and care. We couldn't have asked for a nicer sitter and would highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.
Tina was a fantastic house/pet sitter for my cat Trixie - I can’t recommend her enough! She was very communicative and also self sufficient and I felt completely at peace with Trixie in her care. She took it upon herself to water my plants and also trimmed Trixie’s nails, which I always struggle with! She provided perfect company for Trixie, playing with her, brushing her, loving her and giving her daily medicine. She also left my apartment in perfect condition. I would gladly have Tina pet sit again. A 10/10 experience.
I have nothing but great things to say about Jill! She’s a wonderful sitter and I felt so comfortable leaving my dog and cat in her capable hands while I was out of the country. She was thorough in making sure she knew exactly what each pet needed, had excellent communication, and provided me with daily updates. I came home to a house that was even tidier and more organized than when I left and two very loved pets. I would highly recommend Jill to anyone looking for a kind, caring, consistent pet sitter. Thank you so much Jill!!!
Angela did a great job caring for Willie for 10 days while we were out of town. She was easy to communicate with and kept us informed about Willie, along with sending photos of him out on walks and at the beach. Angela was very accomodating when we needed to come home a day early - Thank you! The house was left in good shape and it's clear that Angela is organized and reliable and clearly loves her pet charges. I'd recommend Angela and will definitely include her as one of our top sitter choices in the future! Thanks again, Angela!
Lindsay and Bryce provided excellent care to our two cats while we were gone. They are great communicators, took amazing care of our apartment and send regular updates and photos so that we knew all was going well. We would absolutely recommend them as responsible and thoughtful pet sitters who can be entrusted with the care of your home and pets.
Kate was an excellent house sitter and pet sitter. She was thoughtful, sensitive, and attuned to our cats and the particulars of our house. It was really easy to communicate with her and she was responsible and conscientious about everything. When we came back our cats seemed unfazed by our return which was a great sign and it was obvious that she spent lots of time with them and gave them lots of love. The house was spotless on our return and she even alerted us to a health matter in one of our cats. She sent lots of cute updates and was easy going when we messed up a logistical detail on our end. Just a delightful person all around. I'd love to have her come again and if you have a chance to have her housesit, jump on it. She is a gem.
Melanie and Steve were excellent house & pet sitters. They sent me so many pictures of my 3 cats without me even asking and it made me so happy to see them enjoying their company. I'd say out of all the house sitters I've had, they spent the most time with my cats which means a lot to me. They are kind, easy to connect with and I'd welcome them back anytime. As far as caring for my house - top notch.
Deboraj took great care of the apartment and of our goofy unsociable cat. She went out of her way to bring catnip and make friends with Rowan. She communicated often and cared to be as good a house and pet sitter as could be. I can gladly recommend her highly to anyone else looking. Thank you Deborah.
Toby and we were SO lucky to have Tom be our home and pet sitter for our Thanksgiving Holiday trip! From the very beginning Tom was responsive and communicative. He was even able to arrange a "meet and greet" with us and Toby before beginning his stay. While here Tom took great care of our home, and, most importantly, provided wonderful care of Toby! When we got home everything was in perfect order and we could tell that even though Toby was happy to see us he was going to miss Tom. I would be thrilled if we could have Tom as our zeewoi again. You will be lucky if he can do the same for you. :)
Farhan is a fantastic house sitter! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a down-to-earth, kind, and caring pet sitter for their home. We have three small dogs (around 6 lbs) and he took excellent care of them. They can be a little nervous/ timid around new people, and more so around men at times, but the dogs didn't show any of that nervousness around Farhan! He was gentle and respectful of their space and they warmed up to him immediately. I got a wonderful text the first morning that I was away that they cuddled up with him at night - showing how quickly they adjusted to him as their caretaker. I was able to meet Farhan in person before I left on my trip and I was able to have a wonderful conversation with an ambitious explorer. He is a delightful person. Upon my homecoming the house was very clean and the dogs were happy and relaxed. I can't ask for anything more! Thank you Farhan for taking such wonderful care of our three dogs and our home.

The staff here have numerous accolades for their commitment, training certificates, and involvement in learning, educating, and training of dogs. If you read their Bio, you will see their level of education in their pursuit of excellence. Plus, they are family owned and operated, and take an interest in your dog. I believe they treat my dog like one of the family. He LOVES going to daycare at Centralia Pet Resort. 💯
0 stars. My dog went once and will never return. They advertise daycare and it is not daycare. I had a weird feeling so made sure to ask how my dog did and all 3 guys said she did great and got along well. I asked about the schedule as I heard my dog screaming and she was in a kennel (I specifically said she does not kennel). I was told daycare is in the kennels and get out 3 times a day for 20 mins. I can leave my dog in a house all day long for free. The website states daycare dogs kennel from 11am-1pm. They will kennel your dog all day. When I sent messages today attempting to address these issues for a second time I could not get an answer just nonsense beating around the bush. Don’t waste your money. Don’t put your dog through it.
My family took a 4 day vacation to Great Wolf Lodge and needed a place nearby to board our pup Arlo. He's a very high energy 1 1/2 yr old golden retriever and we had no idea how he would do staying somewhere besides his home for 4 days and 3 nights. But he did great. I can't say enough about this place. It's just a few minutes off the freeway in Centralia and 10 min down Hwy 99 straight to Great Wolf. The property is set back in a residential type area but off of several streets tucked back. There's a beautiful main home the family lives in and then their business is down a gravel driveway to the back. They have a very impressive setup. Several buildings with different purposes. Training, grooming, doggy daycare and boarding. When I saw the property and setup it was obvious they are devoted to what they do. Check-in was easy, I handed Arlo over with collar, leash, a new Tuffy toy with no stuffing, his blanket and his food. They will feed your pup what they feed their dogs for a small extra fee but we felt keeping him on his own diet was best. They provide a raised bed for your dog so we just brought his blanket so he had something from home. They asked about his social behavior and we explained he's gone to the dog park a couple times but hea not an alpha dog so we worry about other dogs being aggressive. So they found a nice female labrador retriever dog for him to play with during his stay. They are very careful to ensure all dogs are current on vaccines and that if dogs aren't fixed they are kept with other unaltered dogs. When we picked Arlo up he was of course excited to see his family. But he was happy, and it was obvious he was well taken care of while he was there. He had outside playtime and got to socialize and we were happy with our experience. Price of $35/night also seemed very fair. Next family trip we will definitely be using their services again!
I had a last minute grooming & single day boarding and they were very accommodating. A very busy establishment with very affordable prices.
I did like this place overall. When I took my dog home after he stayed overnight for a couple days with Centralia Pet Resort I noticed my poor dogs collar was overly tightened while he was there and he couldn't breathe properly and he was basically suffocating for I don’t know how long! So please make sure you examine your pets when you pick them up! I do not recommend this business for proper overnight dog care.
We dropped off our lab for the dog daycare service while we went to Great Wolf Lodge for the day. The staff were all super friendly! She seemed super happy to go and when we picked her up we could tell she had a great day of play. Next time we come back, we’ll definitely make a visit.
Scott, his wife, and son do a fabulous job taking care of our unruly crew. I drive 60 miles from Seattle just to board here. They are the best!!! In 10+ stays they're always happy 😅 …
Our dog is excited to go there. As soon as she hears "are you ready for vacation," she runs to the door.
Second time watching my dog was difficult for them. They are pretty old and not able to handle dogs who have energy. IF you have a dog with a lot of energy DON'T TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. They can't handle it. Plus who knows how much attention they actually give your dog. We picked up our dog who was hungry and had blood shot eyes. Our dog was not invited back, not like we'd bring him back anyway. But they did try and take care of him and put in the effort so 3 stars. They seem pretty ok so I'm bumping it to 4 stars.
I took my daughter's husky here when she was in California to visit. They did such a wonderful job with her! Provided some guidance to my daughter on how to manage a husky as well as fit her collar properly. The difference in behavior in only one day was notable! We will definitely be back.
We used to love River Bend, taking our dog for grooming every two weeks for almost three years, but after Derek took over, it has been a disaster. First, they cut my dog’s nail up the quick and split his nail, which led to 2 emergency surgeries with Dr Fay. Then they decided to cancel our recurring appointments with no warning, which led to a very tense phone call with Derek, who was extremely rude, yelling me it wasn’t his fault he was short staffed, yelling at me that he can’t get us in for a month after my dog’s original canceled recurring appointment. Then, we show up with our dog on our scheduled delayed date and Derek said we are no longer welcome at River Bend. Told the other staff to call the police on my husband - out of nowhere. Beyond disgusting behavior from Derek. He has no business being a manager and has absolutely no people skills. So unprofessional. I would avoid this place at all costs unless you like being yelled at for giving them your money.
Best boarding, daycare & vet. So thankful for Riverbend. They have always taken the best care of my dog Mollie and when she needed to be seen by Dr. Fay they took care of that. They have gone above and beyond to make sure my dog was well cared for. Thank you Sara & extra thanks to Derrick for taking Mollie to be seen. Appreciate all the people at Riverbend and Newaukum Valley Veterinary very much!
Ziggy loves going to River Bend Pet Center for Play Day. Staff make the experience equally as enjoyable for me. Does not get much better, it is a win win for all. Dr. Brandy Fay has been all of my pets Veterinarian (2nd mother), since she started practicing. No words to describe her excellency on every measurable level.
We love this place. My pup always loves coming here, the staff is great, good communication, and most importantly I feel like my dog is safe here.
My cat Cowboy received nothing but the best while he was boarded there. All the staff was so attentive and kind. Everyday on my vacation I received a picture and update in a text. It really made my vacation worry free knowing he was cared for with love.
Great groomers but I have been trying to get ahold of someone to just schedule a grooming for about two weeks. Left a message with a person who said I would get a call back, never did. Since then I’ve left two messages and haven’t heard anything back.
When a Dr Cares they GET DOWN CLOSE and PERSONAL Dr Fay takes every case every pet as if her very own, we know as she has been on 2 life threatening journeys with us and we have worked very closely with her over the years and seen the tears of sadness and joy in her eyes along with ours. She is ONE IN A MILLION. It takes more than a Veterinarian to make a GOOD DOCTOR. Anyone can be a Vet, not every vet is a GOOD ONE. SHE IS THAT ONE IN A MILLION!
We love taking our animals to see Dr. Fay! She is so kind & always remembers us, so I don't feel like I'm having the same conversations over & over at each visit. I also love her willingness to try different options to suit our family needs the best!
All three same. Litter babies been using Dr Fay since they had their first shots 9 years ago. Sadly the. Choc passed last year. But Dr Fay was compassionate and caring all through her illness
Absolutely Love Dr. Brandy Fay We had a pregnancy scare with our Labrador June, she rushed right in as; we got there before she did. She had a full day of surgeries spay/neuter scheduled. Took June back right away and was able to put us and June at ease after only about 30 minutes had passed. 2 days later... June welcomed 4 healthy Puppies, 2 girls then 2 boys. Friendly staff, clean, well put together offices. Love that they also sell great products, offer puppy classes, have a private dog park available for use and more. 🐇🐕🐩🐈🐾
Our first experience with Nelly's Ark was fabulous. I have two, very bonded lab/gsp pups, littermates 9 years old. Much to my surprise they did very well and we're very happy. I was also thrilled with the results. Of course they did not need clipping but they needed good baths to get a lot of hair out and they needed a good nail clipping as well. This is not something that they do willingly at home. One person they're even exclaimed how happy my boy was when she met him in the bath! I would have bet a lot of money that he would have had his tail between his legs and been shaking during his bath but no, he was greeting everybody with a smile and a tail wag. How could I give this place anything less than five stars!!
Going with a good middle ground 3 star review as I haven't had my pet actually stay here but I took a tour that left a bad taste in my mouth. There is only someone there about 3 times a day according to our tour guide plus kennels are wire walls, this makes me incredibly anxious for reactive or aggressive dogs who they say they will take anyways. No walks are given, just a short yard time. The facility seems run down and has an overpowering chemical smell. Just be cautious please. I went in to take a look before I scheduled to have my dogs there and this place only set me on edge, there's no way I'd feel comfortable leaving them there.
Our dog Honey Bear is a Chihuahua that hates people and will not trust anyone except her own pack, her family of humans. We worry about leaving her anywhere but this time we had no choice. She has a hard character as she will trust no one, but thankfully she was warm and safe and cared for for 5 days and 4 nights last Thanksgiving weekend. She was happy to see us and recovered quickly from her melancholy of missing us. We were thankful she was well cared for in spite of her being a little difficult with strangers as she always is. I've had other places turn us down because they couldn't handle her, but at Nelly's Ark they took good care of her and we are very thankful.
Adora Dee has been going to Nelly's for approximately 6 years and she loves her groomer Kelly, if she is happy I am too. Thank you Nelly's Ark 🙂🥰 …
Our dogs LOVE coming here! The staff is amazing, communicative, and truly love the pets that stay here. ❤️
Our family had a Great Wolf lodge trip planned. We decided to board our 20-month-old, intact male GSD. My wife searched kennels in the surrounding area. Nelly's Ark came up as the best. There is a reason. First off, the facility is clean. You can tell they take pride in its appearance. Second, the staff is top-notch. They were professional, friendly, and respectful. The extra special care they provided for my boy Dutch, was immensely appreciated. I would recommend them to anyone looking to board their pup. Thanks Nelly's. 10/10
I can't say enough good things about Nelly's! They truly care about our dogs and go the extra mile to be sure they're comfortable - whether that's during their grooming session or a few day boarding stay. I feel good dropping my dogs off here, I know they're meticulously cared for. Highly, highly recommend this wonderful business.
My dog went in looking like a used mop! She has long hair and was a mess! She came out looking like a young puppy! Totally beautiful! The staff were kind and friendly.
Have taken our dog Lady there for boarding twice and will again for future trips. She's been well cared for while we were gone for a week both times. Staff is friendly and loving, you can tell they care. Boarding fees are reasonable as well.
Nelly's has been an institution to the locals for pet grooming and boarding for many years. We have used the grooming facility for nail trims a couple times as our prior groomer retired. The price is a little more expensive than other groomers we have used, as we paid $12 cash per each dog. The location is off of a busy highway and right next to a home, so it can be Abita confusing if you are coming from the freeway. Thankfully, they have a couple spots you can pull in that lead to the grooming area. The waiting are is very small and not set up to wait inside for appointments so if you are early for an appointment, keep that in mind. The technician seemed qualified in not only our dogs breed but were educated in the type of nails our dogs have in order to make it as good of an experience for our dogs as possible. One thing of note, they do have office pets wandering around the office, so if you have an uneasy pet around other pets, you may want to go into the office without your pet first to notify the front staff. The front desk have always been courteous and quick to serve any customers that have come in while I was there.
My two huskies spent a day at doggie daycare and had a great time. They are a very busy place, but always take the time to handle my pups and be patient with them. I appreciate the staff and the great care they provide. Also recently boarded my huskies while I went out of state to help care for an ill parent. My stress was already high from the situation and leaving my fur babies only added stress. The staff were so kind and understanding. They gave me updates whenever I wanted and the pictures they sent were great. I am not sure the fur babies missed me at all! They had so much fun. I had them groomed on the day I picked them up too. It was the best grooming they had ever had. Super impressed and just love this place. See photos of fun.
I was super worried about boarding my dog as it has been 2-3 years and when he went to doggy daycare, he had a bad experience there….. however, Northwind was great!! They took good care of my boy and made sure he had the best experience! They even were able to get him to play in the social times with other dogs, which surprised me because my dog is a lil crazy sometimes.. Thanks so much for taking care of my baby while I was out of town! It’s greatly appreciated & I will be bringing him back here!
This started out a positive experience. We were boarding our 3 dogs for the first time, back in early July. We toured the facility less than a week before we dropped our dogs off to make sure we were comfortable with the decision. Everyone seemed nice and knowledgeable. We dropped our crew off 6 days later. We were gone for approx a week. When we came back, we picked up the crew and got a rundown on how they had done. We were impressed. Next day I noted my dogs were acting poorly, sneezing, coughing, lethargic. I called the kennel to ask them about it and I was told, oh yeah, there's Bordatella going through the kennel. I was told they posted a sign. We were there 3 times and never was it mentioned. I was told to just give them cough medicine and they would be fine. I was also told they would check on us in a couple days to see how it was going. We decided to call our vet and they said they would need to go on antibiotics. We also called our doctors, because my husband is a transplant patient and We were told we needed to get on antibiotics as well. There were times during the first couple of weeks our dogs were so sick, we had to sit with them in the bathroom with shower on to help them breathe. Our dogs began having diarrhea issues not long after that. We thought it was stress and the antibiotics. A few weeks later we had them tested, since it wasn't going away, and we were told they had giardia as well. Now, our dogs don't go anywhere, and they aren't around any other animals, so the only explanation was tue kennel. When we explained to our vet what had taken place and about how the kennel had handled things once we got home, they were not happy. Posting a sign and never disclosing at any point before, during or after our dogs were there, was considered poor practice in their eyes. It's one thing if the kennel staff didn't know, but they did. Why didnt they shut down and clean, air out, or whatever before taking in more dogs. We paid extra for our dogs to be kept separate from the other dogs to keep them as safe as possible. And we checked on them several times while we were gone. We also had a backup person available if they needed to be picked up. Them coming home with 2 seperate illnesses never crossed our minds. So the first thing some one is likely to say, when reading this, is these things happen. We are now heading to the end of October and our dogs are STILL sick. We've gone through several rounds of antibiotics, testing, other medications, constantly disinfecting and we are still dealing with diarrhea on a daily basis. That is 3 MONTHS of constant sickness, stress, expenses, medications, and there's no relief in sight. We have been told by the vet that because it is so contagious they keep giving it to each other. I have other pets in my home that have had to stay separated from the dogs, which compounds the stress, anxiety and workload. I want people to really think about that. We wanted to go on a vacation, which we hadn't done in years, and this is what we were left with. No being up front, no follow ups, nothing. Why would this place think ANYONE would be okay with playing roulette with their dogs health. This has ruined any trust we have in placing our pets with anyone else. If you think this is not a big deal, or okay in anyway, go ask your vet if they think this practice is okay. My husband left a review a few months ago and, in his words, no one cared. Still no follow up or explanation on why my dogs came home this sick. I'm angry. I'm angry and I'm frustrated that this experience gets a shrug and an oh well. I've noticed alot of people are speaking highly of this kennel, it was recommended to us as well, but this was our experience after ONE time when our dogs were being kept to themselves. NEVER AGAIN.
The staff was great, the tour was great but when we picked our dogs up they all had Bordetella (kennel cough). When we called them the person told us that there was something posted on the wall and we should of read it. If you are having any issues where our animals can get sick it should be discussed with us. Staff was very friendly and I liked the facilities but having a real tough time with our dogs being sick from staying there
Northwind Pet Center is a great place to drop you dog or cat off fir the day or when you go out of town. Their kennel areas are temperature control and their prices are reasonable. I highly recommend them.
Very caring and efficient. Clean. Playtime. My dogs love NorthWind. Professional. Been going here for 20 years. Love them!
The only place I trust to take care of my dog. Competitively priced and a lot of different playtime and grooming options available when boarding
This place has been here as long as I can remember. I took my hounddog here decades ago, and my wife takes her dog here currently. Every aspect is well worth the fee.
These guys do a great job at grooming our dogs. Highly recommend them. The manager and staff go all out for Halloween decorations.
JBLM Service members find another spot for your furry family members. I got my husky back with a gash on his head and a swollen face. After talking with the staff they said some other dog went after him after reviewing video footage and then I got the reply of, "we're not responsible for injuries at playtime." I doubt I'm getting the full truth because my dog is also wincing like he's afraid he's going to get hit and he's never done that before. Additionally: Don't take my word for it just look at other 1 star reviews and see the pattern for yourselves. Update: This kennel and their inept owner can count their blessings our furry family member made a full recovery. Talked with several vets about what happened and they think he either was trying to escape and got stuck or he was hit. I can't afford bail money should I find I was lied to and he was hit so y'all get a free ride on this one.
I board my working K9 with Jim. He is a handful and I wouldn't trust him with anyone else! And he always has fun at Scatter Creek as you can see in the pictures!
We have a Rottweiler German Shepard mix puppy that was almost impossible to control on a leash but with Jessica’s training our puppy is easily walking to heel on a leash, sits on command, and will do her 30 minute downs. I would highly recommend Scatter Creek Kennels and Training.
Jessica is a fantastic trainer. She is very friendly and patient when working with my young Shepherd husky mix and teaching my husband and I how to continue practicing what was taught. We have also used the boarding services- my dog is always excited to to visit. I highly recommend Scatter Creek Kennels.
We went to three different trainers for Gunter, our Corgi/Jack Russell mix. They were the only ones able to reach him. Gunter was starting to get in bad habits and get aggressive. Jessica, our trainer, nipped that in the bud and turned this dog around! Without her efforts, we would have had to put our dog down. Now he is the best trained and well mannered dog that we have ever owned. Highly recommended!
Jessica Wynn was the perfect match for my Golden Retriever Murphy. She is very experienced with Golden Retrievers, calm, patient and makes the training look easy. Despite trying to do my best I needed a professional to help. Murphy was very possessive of items and would jump and nip at people when he would get excited. Jessica was able to work with him on his anxiety that was causing some of his bad behaviors. I can’t believe how quickly he responded to me once he was home. His progress is amazing.
Post updated in response to business owners reply: I would love to hear about when the change in management took place and who the new management is? Your website and recent reviews indicate Jim is still the trainer and owner. Original post: This spring I took my own dog (lab/pit mix) and a dog (younger lab) i had just adopted out of Texas to scatter creek because after only about 5 days, the new dog kept attacking my dog. Jim was very presumptive about the situation referring to my dog as the aggressor, he mocked working with people who have “rescue” dogs but assured me he works with a lot of rescues, referred to only his newest dog at the time as a pet (I assumed someone who cares for other people’s dogs would treat all dogs as pets. Red flag.), he suggested i hit my dogs, and when i was uncomfortable with the way he treated my dog he tried to distract me by showing me videos of other dogs he had apparently worked with. I was entirely uncomfortable with our session and would never go back or recommend scatter creek.
Jim is a miracle worker! He’s trained my Black Lab and my German Shepard, both times I had fantastic results that last long term. Jim loves dogs and in my experience builds a bond with them within a few seconds so they trust and listen to him. Jim is NOT your touchy feely give the dog a treat for looking at you type of trainer, he is a world class obedience trainer. Jim uses effective techniques and tools that do NOT harm the dog but require them to obey so the training is successful. Prior to seeing Jim at scatter creek, my lab would take off (chasing rabbits, playing with the neighbors dog, etc) and refuse to listen. I would have to chaise her over my 25 acres to get her back to the house. I was afraid that she would get hit by a car or similar and my inability to control her meant I couldn’t protect her. One week with Jim and she would keep her eyes focused on me and obey without a second thought regardless of other animals around her. Now 8 years later she’s 10 and still obeys me like she left training yesterday. My German Shepard is a fantastic dog that has a true desire to serve me and loves being at my side (opposite of my lab, she’s selfish and likes doing her own thing). However, my Shepard is number 2 and very jealous of the lab (#1), so she would get very aggressive toward the lab and bite/attack her a couple times a month. It started as a nip here and a little bite there. Finally it ended an an all out dog fight. I was forced to make a decision, either I get her help to stop or she had to go. I didn’t hesitate to call Jim after my success with my lab. One week with Jim and it’s been two years now without a single nip or bite from my Shepard towards her housemate. Jim saved my pup from leaving our family by helping us get her aggression understood and under control. The bottom line is if you want a fun date with your “fur baby” call someone else, if you want results CALL JIM!
For those reading reviews I would love to post our perspective from working with Scatter Creek Kennels and Jim as a trainer. Plain and simple the training Jim uses works. We had worked with three other "professional" dog trainers with no success. I will say working with our dog we had to be pretty extreme but my dogs behavior was also pretty extreme, he was aggressive to people and to other animals. Jim in just three short sessions has taught us how to handle our dog and what to expect from him. I am thrilled to say, Scout can now walk on a loose leash, has a great recall, does extended downs, and heels. We still have work to do but our life has changed so much and for the better. Jim gave us hope for our aggressive dog, he is a pleasure to work with and the results speak for themselves.
If your looking for a highly skilled, knowledgeable and upfront no excuses honest dog trainer than Jim is definitely your guy!!! From the moment we stepped out of the car Jim was nothing but honest with us from the first step to the last. I highly respect Jim for that, I needed someone that I could trust myself and my dog Bear. He has the confidence to guide anyone through the most stressful situations his confidence and honesty helped calm some of the worst anxiety not only I had but my dog had. We were at a cross roads with our dog Bear he is such an amazing dog but unfortunately due to getting attacked by another dog at the park Bear has become very aggressive towards other dogs and we came to a point that taking him out had become a liability to himself and other animals. So we took a shot and gave Jim a try he had trained my neighbors Rottweiler and had done an amazing job! From the first phone encounter to us taking our first steps out of the car Jim never sugar coated anything he was 100% transparent with us. After our first lesson with Jim and Darcy we for the first time in a long time see light at the end of the tunnel for Bear. I have not seen since Bear got attacked by another dog get as close to him as I did yesterday without him going into a frenzy. Jim is the leader Bear and I both needed in this situation. I would highly recommend Jim and Darcy hands down to anyone looking for a transparent, honest, skilled, knowledgeable dog trainer. We will continue our training with Jim and Darcy and will bring any future dogs we may own to Scatter Creek. Thanks again Jim and Darcy for giving Bear a future!!!! Thanks a million Jim and Darcy!!!! Bear and I appreciate all you've given us beyond words!!
Today 6/11/21 I took my 16 week old puppy to Scatter Creek for a consultation with Jim. My puppy has been aggressive towards our other pets and myself when I try to intervene. I’m also having difficult time with potty training. Jim was great at advising me how to handle these situations. I haven’t mastered it yet but using the technique Jim taught me this morning has already made a huge difference in how my puppy interacts with myself and my other pets. I will be bringing my puppy back to Jim in a month for formal training. *side note Jim was highly recommended to me by a friend. I did read the reviews on google and Yelp prior to bringing my puppy to Scatter Creek and I admit I was slightly skeptical and a little uneasy...that being said my friends referral outweighed the bad reviews and I am not disappointed in my decision to give Scatter Creek a chance. Jim is great!
