Annie sat for our cat, Tuna, over a long weekend. She was extremely kind and self-sufficient. When we arrived home, Tuna was relaxed and happy and our apartment was as clean and tidy as we had left it. Annie would be welcome to sit for us again any time, we'd highly recommend her.
I could not have asked for a better first experience with zeewoi! Jordan and Nataki were great at communicating from the very start, and they sent me pictures and updates every day. I didn’t have to worry for a moment that my cat Anya was feeling lonely because I could tell she warmed up right away, even though she’s usually quite shy! They also went above and beyond making sure my apartment was tidy for when I got home. So grateful and would definitely be honored for them to sit for me again any time!
Francesco has been taking care of my furry babies and my place while I'm away for well over a year now, and I couldn't appreciate him more. He is a joy to communicate with, and the most reliable person one could hope for. Being able to count on him while I'm traveling makes a world of difference, because I know I don't need to worry about anything while I'm away. Benny and Zumba love him and are very well taken care of. I know because I come home to two very relaxed and happy kitties. I am super grateful to have found Francesco!
Hannah and Joseph were so kind, so communicative, and clean! Kevin seemed so happy in all the photos they sent. Not only did they wash my sheets and towels they used (without my requesting it, simply out of the kindness of their hearts), they ALSO then put my fresh sheets on the bed! 🥹❤️ Such incredible sitters. 10 stars!
Misti was wonderful! She was able to come by before I left town to meet my dog, Grace, which I really appreciated. She sent daily pics or videos and made sure that Grace got tons of snuggle time, which is a major requirement to keep my dog happy :) Cats and skateboards are evil enemies to Grace and it sounds like Misti experienced both and handled it flawlessly! Misti was a great communicator, left everything tidy for me when I got home and Grace was super mellow and relaxed, which tells me she got all the care she needed while I was gone. I highly recommend Misti - I'll definitely be asking her to sit again!
Lilly and Thomas stayed at our house and cared for our dogs for a month. I think they took the dogs to the beach nearly every day. Seeing pictures of our dogs on the beach made our time away from them feel so much better. Our house was immaculate when we returned, and we felt so fortunate to have such kind and loving people step in for us in our absence. Anyone would be super lucky to have them in their home.
Gwynn was wonderful! She was super communicative, flexible to come to our house beforehand to get oriented, and attentive to details. She connected with our pup, Scout, immediately and we felt so assured that he would be well cared for with her. We hope Gwynn can come stay again another time!
I was thrilled to have Courtenay as our sitter. We had a few last minute changes and she was very accommodating. She is a very pleasant, well spoken person who bonded very quickly with our dog, Pepe. We were in Europe and Courtenay keep us we’ll informed via internet, pictures and all. We came home to a clean house, a happy pet and a delicious pie she left for us in the refrigerator. You would be very pleased to have her as your sitter. Lucy Hottle
Wendy was great, she kept us updated on the dogs and all the fun she had hiking with them on the mountain. I returned home to a very tidy house. My dogs just loved her. I will definitely have Wendy sit for me again and would be very lucky to have her do a sit for you.
Julian and Susan were amazing, we came home to happy healthy creatures and a clean, tidy home and yard. They communicated with us during our vacation, both about anything unusual and just to let us know when things were going well (as they were the majority of the time). They are very adaptable and capable people, I highly recommend them for your home and pet needs.

We feel like we’ve won the pet and house sitter lotto with Scott. Most importantly, he’s taken great care of our much loved little dog, giving him a lot of care, affection and attention. He paid close attention when Tingsha began scratching (allergy to an insect bite) which needed vet care, with great communication with us. He even took Tingsha to his agility school class each week (great fun had by all) and to get a groom. We’ve come home to a contented and very happy dog. The house is spotless, cleaner than we left it, with fresh flowers and the bed all made up. Perfect! We had regular contact with Scott all through our five week trip and being “fellow travellers” (in all senses) enjoyed sharing lots of local travel tips and experiences as we each visited new parts of the world. We were happy to lend Scott our car and he’s been great with it, super responsible. Scott is a really terrific guy and a fabulous journalist and story teller (you must listen to his podcast about his travels, it’s a cracker). In sharing our home and trusting our beloved dog with him, we feel like we’ve made a new friend along the way. We recommend Scott without any hesitation and thank him for a wonderful experience, we’d love him to come back and see us, anytime. Thanks a bunch!
Natalie and Christian were dream pet sitters while we were out of the country for 2.5 weeks. From start to finish, they were reliable and professional, with excellent communication. They had took great care of our dog and chickens and left the house and car in great shape. Plus, they’re just a really sweet young couple. We’d highly recommend them as house sitters.
I have nothing but great things to say about Jill! She’s a wonderful sitter and I felt so comfortable leaving my dog and cat in her capable hands while I was out of the country. She was thorough in making sure she knew exactly what each pet needed, had excellent communication, and provided me with daily updates. I came home to a house that was even tidier and more organized than when I left and two very loved pets. I would highly recommend Jill to anyone looking for a kind, caring, consistent pet sitter. Thank you so much Jill!!!
Alyssa was a very organized and caring pet sitter. This was our longest house sitter stay and she took excellent care of our home and two sweet and bossy Frenchies. I liked her communication to touch base the week before and how she initiated a shared photo album. We prefer not to get bombarded with daily text message photos and updates. She came up with a connected solution and touched base throughout her stay keeping us informed and sharing photos without a push. She even shared some travel gems about our destination as she is also a curious traveler and enjoys exploring outdoors. We would be happy to use her again.
Leah was an excellent pet sitter and take care of our home when we were on vacation. Our dogs were sad when she left. She even made us some delicious tacos when we got home from the airport! We highly recommend her!
Great pet care. The house was clean and tidy. The sitters had great communication. Would recommend again!
Elaine was the best dog and cat sitter I have ever had! She was so loving to the boys, kind, reliable, capable and took fabulous care of my two dogs and cat welfare. Walked them every day and would even sing to them (-: I am so very grateful to have had the pleasure of meeting Elaine and I would recommend Elaine to anyone wanting first class care of pets and home!!! We all miss having her around and wish her a fabulous world trip and safe journey back to the States.
I could not have asked for a better first time sitter experience! Terry & Vinnie were absolutely wonderful people. They took stellar care of my beloved pets and my home. Their communication with me was enough that I felt perfectly at ease during my time away and in turn, they were super responsive if I contacted them. My pets were relaxed and happy when I returned!
Janis is absolutely the best pet sitter and home care we have had. She is a regular for us during our Christmas vacation because we totally trust her with the care of our three dogs and the management of our home. She is so good and efficient that I have already requested that she sits for us again next Christmas. Our three dogs absolutely adored her as she played fetch, took them on walks, loved and spoiled them. Management of our home was excellent. I had no concerns whatsoever as we had packages delivered and Mail that needed to be picked up. The house was in much better condition than what we left it. I highly recommend Janis and you will be fortunate to have her as your sitter.
Milly was a lovely house sitter and I’d highly recommend her. She submitted a really great application and after a FaceTime chat it was an easy decision to choose her for our sit. She is the youngest sitter we’ve chosen but she has a maturity beyond her years and it was clear she had so much experience with animals that we felt confident leaving her in charge of our menagerie. Olive our young Pom has never been left with a sitter before so we were a little worried about how she would be but Milly was so patient, gentle and kind that she quickly won Olive over. So much so, on the morning Milly was leaving ,Olive would only let Milly put her harness on her before going for a walk. All the animals were perfectly cared for while we were away and we returned home to happy pets and a tidy house. Milly’s communication from our first contact and right through the sit was great and she even sent a lovely video of the dogs having fun on their walk. I’d have Milly back to housesit for us again anytime.

Andrew is THE best. Takes such good care of our dogs with lots of love and attention and treats them as if they were his. We can call anytime and he will always help when we need him. He goes ABOVE and beyond just dog walking. He truly cares and you can tell he loves what he does. Recommend you switch to Dog gone local -best out there. Thank you andrew!
Andrew is the king of dogs. No ands, if, or buts about it. No questions asked. Andrew is a certified dawg himself. Andrew is the sole reason why I can stand living in Danvers, he'll always come to us. I'm forever grateful he can handle my Chihuahua. Not many people can. The dog is a piece of work and pretty annoying most of the time but Andrew has 0 problems, nor does he give us a hard time about the dawg. Andrew needs more respect to his name. #ThatDawgAndrew
DogGoneLocal has the best dog walking and In-Home Boarding in the area. He always goes above and beyond everything he does for the dogs! He’ll always show up on time to scheduled appointments! The best part is how they have live gps maps with Live Photo updates of the dogs! I highly recommend their services to anyone who needs a reliable dog walker!
DogGoneLocal arrived on time and was thoughtful to ask questions about my dogs particular needs. The walker hit nearly three miles during the walk. My dog was exhausted and calm after his adventure. Would recommend!
Always the best dog Walker. Fun, friendly, reasonably priced. It's always a pleasure to deal with Andrew. Hes Oliver tested and Oliver approved! 🐶🐶🐶 …
Truly cares about his trade! Andrew will put your pet first and treat him or her like his own. Incomparable service!
Nothing but good things to say! The people there are so friendly , they made me feel so comfortable when signing up my little guy. They gave me a tour around to show me where he’d play and answered any/all questions I had. He’s my baby lol so it makes me so happy that he loves going to daycare 💙 …
Shouldn’t even get a star but I had no choice. I brought my dog in one time and he normally goes to daycare and has so much fun. They brought him in to a dark room all by himself and left him there. my dog is a rescue and very scared being alone. They would not allow him back because they said he barked. Of course he barked ihe was in a dark room all alone. Terrible unfriendly staff. I have since found another daycare that he has loved and the staff is so friendly and good with him to make him feel safe when he’s not at home. Beware of this place.
You know when you say "walk" and your dog gets all excited? I say "do you want to go to daycare?" and my dog gives this anticipation, ears perked, eyes super-wide look, then starts bouncing around the place looking for his leash. He loves daycare here, has his buddies he's made to play with, and is happy when he arrives and fully happy from his day when he leaves. I like the outdoor area they have and the kid pools the dogs can use. Awesome place and very friendly, up-beat staff.
This place is amazing! We have been bringing our dog here for over a year. Everyone there knows her name and personality. They even commented to me when picking her up when she stepped into the pool over the summer (she is NOT a water dog). Just shows how much they love the dogs that come and care about each and every one of them individually. Our baby always comes home happy and tired :) love, Ridleys mom
I was nervous putting my puppies in daycare , but I am extremely happy that they are at McGrupp’s! I love knowing my babies are taken care of and given lots of love when they are at daycare. They get so excited when I pull into the parking lot. The staff has been very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly! And I love that they come home exhausted from playing all day!
McGrupp’s is the best! Our dog really enjoys going in for daycare and ALWAYS comes out happy and exhausted. They care about what they do. There are package discount deals (20 pack I think) for half or full day. Heard about them a few years ago from other happy dog owner customer when we got our puppy. We’ve been going for over two years and love it. 👍🏼👍🏼
Unfortunately, while my 6-month puppy was in the care of McGrupp's he was attacked by another dog and suffered a deep wound. Before I move on with this review, I would like to state that I fully understand that this type of situation can happen in any doggy day care setting (dogs will be dogs) and the attack itself does not impact this review. However, the way the staff at McGrupp's handled this incident was concerning and, in my opinion, unacceptable. After the attack, my dog was separated and placed in a room all by himself. I can only imagine how scared and alone he must have felt. Also, the staff at McGrupp's did not contact me to inform me of the incident or his injury. Instead, I was informed at the end of the day when I went to pick him up. I am sure any dog parent would agree that I should have been contacted immediately. Upon first sight I knew something was wrong because he looked frightened, and the staff neglected to put on his safety harness. McGrupp's brings all dogs outside in the parking lot (right off a main road) upon pick up. Because they did not put his safety harness on my puppy wiggled out of his collar and ran loose around the parking lot as he was anxious from the events of the day. Luckily, a fellow dog owner was able to catch him before he ran into the road. Once I got a hold of him again and secured him myself in his harness I was informed of the attack by the manager and presented with the "occurrence report" documenting the incident in detail. I inspected my puppy and saw a very large gash that in my opinion (as a medical professional) required stitches. I expressed my concern and asked the McGrupp's staff why I was not notified earlier? I was told that they did not think it was a "big deal" and that they did not want to contact me as they thought I would worry. Instead, they thought it would be best to tell me at 5:30pm on Friday upon pick up (his veterinarian's office closes at 5:00pm and does not reopen until 9:00 on Monday) leaving me with very few options for his medical care (we were forced to take him to an expensive 24-hour emergency clinic to receive his stiches). I should have been contacted right away so I could evaluate the situation and attend to his wounds properly to ensure he received the best outcome. To me the way McGrupp's handled this incident to me is not only unacceptable, but also unethical. This incident could have happened anywhere, but it should have been handled better. I should have been notified immediately and they should have done more to attend to my puppy until I arrived. I trusted McGrupp's with the care of my beloved dog and they betrayed/broke that trust. I can confirm they have lost my business.
Top notch doggie daycare! Merlin has so much fun visiting his friends. Drop off and pickup are flawless. Every staff member knows my little pup and I, which just shows the amount of care they have for all the dogs that go there. I work from home but know how beneficial it is for Merlin to have interactions with other dogs and people. Highly recommend even for those in my situation, he is so well rounded. I haven't used the grooming services yet but look forward to trying it out!
I would recommend dog owners against such a place. The pandemic was already a tough time to leave your dog at a daycare because you are not allowed inside to see the quality yourself, so you have to relied on reviews and their promise for good service. So I have no idea for myself who works there, if it’s clean and what the environment is like for my dog. But when I picked my dog up, she always smelled terrible. She came home with eye infections, kennel cough constantly and always came home with scratches. At my dog park there are multiple owners who have shared the same concern with this place. Additionally, we called the owner to be briefed on the security of pick up. We were told they would be sure to get to know us well as owners. When in reality, no one knew who we were because everyday was a different employee and always asking us what dog we were picking up, and seemed like they had no clue we we’re the real owners.
Our 5 year old Great Pyr mix has been going sporadically for daycare for a few months and loves it. Boarding has gone well too. What I like most is the staff know her (and I) and are excited to see her. We didn't have that at two other facilities she has been to. Any time you can be away from your dog and feel she is safe and taken care of it's a good thing.
I was very much a client. With proof. I care about my dog, not Google anything. My healthy dog left your facility with major critical medical issues. IMO your staff is careless at best.
I've been taking my dog to The K9Edge for doggie daycare every time I go on a trip, and it's been a fantastic experience. My dog absolutely loves being there, which gives me great peace of mind. Kathy and her team are amazing – they provide exceptional care and attention, ensuring my dog is happy and well looked after while I'm away. Highly recommend The K9Edge for anyone seeking top-notch daycare for their furry friend!
The finest care and daycare facility in the Commonwealth. Super professional staff and all caring dog lovers. They are fully invested in your dog’s well being
We always recommend them to all our fellow dog parents; I really can’t say enough about how wonderful Kathy and the rest of the staff are. After having several bad experiences at other kennels, this is amazing. Our pup is nervous of new people and places, but after his first stay we knew he loved it and didn’t want to leave. We’ve unfortunately had some last minute family emergencies and they have been nothing but accommodating. Having K9 Edge has been such a relief to us because we don’t have to worry at all when we travel without our fuzzball. They let us call as often as we needed to check on him and get updates. Very reasonable pricing especially for 24/7 care and services offered. Ample parking. Other services offered aside from boarding. Check out the vaccines and other required paperwork on their website. Just give them a call for any questions, they are patient and understanding.
Kathy is amazing to our German Shepard! I trust her and her staff to keep our dog safe and healthy during doggie day care and overnights! So happy we found K9 Edge! Nala loves you!
We brought our dog here for its first visit. The staff here are very friendly, training oriented, and certainly regimented. We found K9 edge after being recommended by a friend and it’s no secret way. The trainers here love dogs and know what they are doing. Know that your dog would be cared for here. I would recommend it to anyone.
I have been taking my dog Drago for roughly 4 months. I utilized the daycare training program initially and could not have been more pleased. I saw immediate results even after day 1. I continue to bring him for daycare based on how much he enjoys going there. I think he is happier to see Cathy than he is to see me on most days. If you are considering a place to either train or board your dog, I would 100% recommend The K9 Edge.
Kathy, Steph and the rest of the team at K9 Edge saved my life! I would be lost without the genuine care and guidance they offer. Was in over my head as a first time dog owner and not once did they make me feel stupid. Every single person there is helpful and caring and treats every dog as their own. They are so reliable and really truly there for you. This is the real deal. Bring your dog here.
Awesome place, my dog loves it there! Wouldn't let him go anywhere else. Nor would I trust him with anyone else. They are my dogs family as far as we are concerned! As a matter of fact, we call them auntie Kathy and auntie Stephanie!! Pure love for this place ❤
Started basic training with my dog here. First class and got so much out of the first day. Very helpful, and patient with all of the newer people striving to have a better dog. My dog and most importantly myself walked out today with a lot of knowledge on a road to a happier safer relationship.
Best of the best! My dog loves going there! I drive all the way from Malden to Peabody for my dog to be with his besties! Melissa & her employees are truly amazing & it shows at every drop off/pick up, Bailey is excited to see them & they are excited to see Bailey!
As a Animal Control Officer who appreciates people who help animals, I wish I could give the Dogmother a 100 star rating! This daycare has the biggest outdoor space that’s split into different yards along with a trainer dedicated to each group of dogs. All dogs are placed with small groups which I prefer, and always have a attendant at all times. Everything is on video 24/7 and the staff is very well trained to handle dogs and groups of dogs. This business is very highly recommended by residents, Rescue organizations like Sweet Paws Rescue and many local ACOs , Police, Fire, and local city officials.
Melissa and her staff are wonderful!! We've rescued/adopted with Melissa and the experience is great from beginning to end! She's so nice! She is easy to talk to, professional, very knowledgeable and really loves her work!! They are all truly there for the dogs! We live out of state a couple hours away, and don't use her boarding services; but we definitely recomend rescuing through her from the rescue resources she works with!!
If you're smart & care about your dogs, you will never bring them to this place. Please be advised the owner does not follow all safety protocols and is operating an illegal business outside their home. Your dogs are not safe here. Located on a busy highway and owner locks your dog in her dirty basement all day. The little time they do get outside, the ability to run off onto busy Route 1 is all too accessible and a constant dangerous threat. Very shady business and the people running it. Not worth it to leave your dogs in their hands. I will never make this mistake again. I wish somebody warned me about this place before.
Life saver when my dog got off her leash. Love what you do for those fur babies. Was 35$ to grab her so I could tip. Thank you ❤️
Melissa and her team is professional, caring and have a true love for dogs. My girls have been with The Dogmother for over a year and I would not send them anywhere else. I can go to work knowing they will be taken care of and a safe. The best daycare around!
After we got our dog, we knew she would need somewhere to go whenever we went away as our parents were getting older and wouldn't be able to handle her themselves. We started to look around for dog boarding and found The Dogmother. We fell in love with Melissa and her staff, love that it is at her home and not corporate and our dog is so well cared for. Now Lola squeals on her way to daycare because she loves it so much, and can't wait for us to go away so she can have sleepovers.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Melissa and her team are AMAZING! I could not feel more at ease leaving my dog in The Dog Mother’s care. Everyone on the team is so knowledgeable and personable to the pups and their owners. I wouldn’t send my dog anywhere else!
Melissa is the very best. She has a big beautiful yard for the dogs to play in. She is very sweet and kind. Melissa also helps with rescues as well. The world would be better with more people like her.
We work with Melissa here at our animal clinics. She's dependable, kind, patient, hard working, intelligant + knowledgeable and she cares Deeply for each and every dog that crosses her path. The entire staff here consider her a treasured friend. We reach out to her for help when needed - and though she's very busy she Always makes time. We consider her a valued member of our team. Thank you for ALL you do for the dogs and people lucky enough to know you!
They are an amazing. Thank you so much guys
I took my 2 sister kittens a few weekends ago and it was a wonderful experience. Brianna greeted us with a huge smile and was so incredibly sweet to my kittens. I have to say that Brianna was probably one the nicest people I have ever met and I trust her completely with my fur babies. The next time I have to board my pets I will back to see Brianna as she is just an angel. 😍
This all truth and fact ! I inquired my first time to board my fur baby in August of 2023' I was concerned for Staff and my dog because he is over protected of me. I have been going to Muddy Creek for years they are the best ! However I wanted to try a place a little closer to my home and have back up just in case. No one ever called me about my concerns today 11/1/2033 they called me to confirm my reservation for Possibly 2/2024' still never taking a moment to address my concern. Now today they respond they are too Busy to reply to Everyone Never have I ever heard that. Why would I bring my beloved Fur baby when I know nothing about them I still cannot wrap my head around their response. I was fooled by their Pretty exterior online. I care about my fur baby as much as my own children. !
We boarded our 2 Portuguese Water dogs while we spent 2 days in the Salem area. We had several conversations with the owner before coming and read other reviews. We felt this was the place for our dogs. The staff greeted us, took additional information and met our dogs. We picked them up two days later, they were happy boys and we got a good report on their experience with the other dogs.
I have been boarding my toy poodles here for about 8 years and recently have become happier than ever. Yes, there were a few months under a previous owner that left me dissatisfied, but with the new ownership (1/18) under Dr. Miles Borash, the place is back to a high standard of care combined with a healthy dose of heart & hugs. The staff is efficient with intake, dismissal, and personal attention to each dog and I find them extremely reliable in every category. You can tell a lot by how your dogs react when walking in the door; my dogs happily bound through the doorway and receive a warm welcome from the staff each time. Brianna is very thorough and very careful to note the personal needs of your dog, including medications, feeding, etc., and Doug lends a personal touch in his care that allows my ultra sensitive poodle to relax enough that he can even pick him up - something he doesn't let anyone besides me do! I'm very happy that Dr. Borash and his crew are at the helm now and I can leave the dogs here with not a worry in the world.
This pet resort is under new management....we have been bringing out cat here for 10 yrs. and have noticed a difference. Mainly, she is an outdoor cat and has the opportunity here to sit out on her private porch. She has her own room with a climbing perch. She is very well cared for and Dr. Borash noticed a problem with her teeth which I wouldn't have detected and did a great job fixing it. I would definitely recommend this place to board your cat or dog if you're going away on vacation. I also feel really comfortable having a vet on the premises.....just in case.
Extremely unprofessional staff and dirty premises. I had made a reservation in person, filled out all paper work and called a few times to make sure everything was in order. When I called to ask what would be latest time to drop off my dogs, they had lost all my paperwork and had no idea I had a reservation. The manager kept saying I had never gone to make the reservation and I did. I still had to leave my dogs for 5 nights and they didn't send pictures unless I called and asked for them. They promise complimentary showers and more walks for the dogs which did not happen. I did not get back all of the blankets I had dropped off because they mix them with other dog's. The staff had a horrible attitude and didn't get along. Do yourself a favor and don't leave your dogs in that awful place.
DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE, horrible customer service and a nasty manager Bree, horrible communication. I would give them a zero if I could, which is a shame because Dr Borash is the best. He needs to get rid of these money scammers
Really nice place, the owner is altruistic and extremely interested in animal safety and treatment. It's nice to find a service provider with such a really good attitude toward his craft ! Highly recommend them
I love this pet resort I was so worried about leaving my little guy anywhere, but they are all so nice, and there is a vet right in the same parking lot that owns the resort so if anything were to happen they would take him to the vet right there, I am so happy I found this place it’s the best.
Amazing service! You can tell she really loves animals, which is hard to come by and extremely reassuring. The only problem is that the dog is more excited to see her than me!
Courtney is truly an animal lover, so caring and responsible!!!!
