Leslie consistently demonstrated outstanding communication skills, both initially and throughout the entire process, and I would gladly give her more stars if possible. Leslie arrived as scheduled, and instantly the animals fell in love with her and Bennie. Our cats love our dogs but usually won't come in the house when a strange dog is here but they didnt even hesitate to come meet Bennie. Bennie was very calm and a true gentleman. Leslie sent pictures throughout the sit reassuring us the gang were all getting along and enjoying her and Bennie's company. She read through the welcome guide before we left as well as we showed her around. It was very nice getting the chance to know her a bit before we ledt the following morning. We felt very comfortable knowing our home and pets were in good hands. It is very apparent when you meet Leslie that she truly does love animals. When our Molly decided to hide, Leslie called us right away because she feared Molly may have gotten spooked by a firework going off in the neighborhood and escaped under the gate. I felt so bad for Leslie because she blamed herself because it was on her watch. I have trackers on all my pets and it turned out that Molly was still in the house and just hiding really well. She can curl up.pretty small. Lealie took our Lab to check the walking route and see if Molly was there. When I called and told her Molly had to be at the house because her tracker showed her there, she returned to our home and Molly hreeted her as she came in the front door. I was very appreciative of Leslie's phone call though because she didnt wait hours to call, she searched the yard and house and called right away. We decided to cut our trip short a day and asked Leslie if she minded if we came home a day early. We let her know we didnt expect her to leave early and made sure she was comfortable with our decision. As a pet parent, it is imperative that we remember the sitters are also on vacation and we didnt want to intrude on her time. As it turned out, we ended up stopping by the ER on our way home where my husband was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. Unfortunately we had both the RV and my car and I needed to figure out how to get them home. I reached out to Leslie who offerred to give me a ride back to the hospital after I dropped o e vehicle off at home so I could retrieve the second vehicle. BTW, the surgeon was able to repair my hubbys aneurysm and he will be coming home soon. Leslie was a comfort during this frightening time and even stayed an extra day to help out and care for our home and pets. She was a teue blessing. Leslie left the house spotless along with so.e fresh flowers for me when I got back from visiting my husband. If you get an opportunity to host Leslie in your home, rest assured your home and pets will be well loved and well taken care of. We.would welcome.Leslie back anytime. She is not just a pet sitter, she is a new trusted friend.
Tina was a fantastic house/pet sitter for my cat Trixie - I can’t recommend her enough! She was very communicative and also self sufficient and I felt completely at peace with Trixie in her care. She took it upon herself to water my plants and also trimmed Trixie’s nails, which I always struggle with! She provided perfect company for Trixie, playing with her, brushing her, loving her and giving her daily medicine. She also left my apartment in perfect condition. I would gladly have Tina pet sit again. A 10/10 experience.
Leah was an excellent pet sitter and take care of our home when we were on vacation. Our dogs were sad when she left. She even made us some delicious tacos when we got home from the airport! We highly recommend her!
Lindsay and Bryce provided excellent care to our two cats while we were gone. They are great communicators, took amazing care of our apartment and send regular updates and photos so that we knew all was going well. We would absolutely recommend them as responsible and thoughtful pet sitters who can be entrusted with the care of your home and pets.
Martin was a very conscientious and thoughtful house sitter who took excellent care of our pets and our home. He was reliable, self-sufficient, and a very good communicator. He clearly enjoys and cares for animals, and our house was spotless when we returned. We recommend him wholeheartedly!
Davis and Sydney were loving sitters for our pets. We even had an extra cat (our son's) and they took great care of all of the pets and our home. The pictures and the comments they sent showed us they figured out all of their quirky personalities very fast. It was nice to come home to a clean house and all pets were safe and happy! We would ask them back again.
Angelica was a wonderful pet sitter for our dog Rosie! She was easy to communicate with before and during the sit (very responsive), and made time to do a walk through of our house/intro to Rosie prior to the sit. She was extremely reliable throughout the process, and left our house really neat. Rosie was happy when we got home! We'd be happy to have Angelica sit for us again and would recommend her to anyone!
Jeremy and Brooke were fantastic! We have a senior dog and a over hyper pittie. They gave Daisy her meds and had lengthy walks with Fin to burn off some of his energy. Brooke sent me regular texts to show me precious pictures of the pups by the Christmas tree, which warmed my ❤️. The house looked great when we returned. They are awesome detailed sitters and will make your pets feel loved and secure!!
Debra was a Great pet and house sitter !! She communicated well throughout our long trip and sent us frequent pictures of all of our pets. She watered our plants and brought in all the mail. Our home was immaculate when we arrived home and the dogs and cat were super happy !! I would recommend Debra as a wonderful, responsible and reliable pet and house sitter !
Jerry and Suzanne were absolutely ideal sitters for our home and pets. We spoke with them ahead of their visit and could tell that they are genuine pet and travel lovers. Over their stay we got to see even more that they are wonderfully friendly, kind, and responsible - plus they kept us laughing with their updates and descriptions of our pets' antics while we were away. Our pets and plants were well loved and our house was spotless upon our return home, and they were even kind enough to leave a few goodies in the fridge. Our dog in particular seemed to miss them and their long walks around the neighborhood. Thank you Jerry and Suzanne! We wish you well in your travels!

Our guinea pigs have stayed here over the Christmas period and we couldn't ask for a better holiday home for them! We will definitely be using them again in the future!
Thank you Karen for providing such a 1st class experience for our two Guinea Pigs, Carlos and Pablo. It was the first time we had left them for over a week, but we were able to relax completely knowing that they were in such good hands. The Apple Suite they stayed in was home from home, with lots of tunnels and cosy places, and lovely food! They were so well looked after, I would recommend The Warren to anyone looking for a lovely experience for their pets while they are away!
Really happy with the service we received here on numerous occasions. Thor is well looked after and is always in good spirits when we pick him back up, which shows that he likes staying as well! Albeit, it can be pricey depending on how spoilt you want your rabbit to be! Definitely recommend
Over the years my rabbits have enjoyed the luxury holiday home that is The Warren. The care for your special pet/s is second to none and your pet will thank you for taking them to The Warren for their holiday.
My Guinea pigs was well looked after. I was updated daily on their stay. Highly recommended 😊😊 …
Fantastic place with a very caring and knowledgeable owner. Highly recommend rabbit and guinea pig owners to board their pets here
Perfect place for boarding rabbits, worth the far drive, can't say the same for other places.
Very attentive owner, wouldn't take our pets anywhere else for their holidays.
Both our girls love their walks with DotDot. They always put the dogs health and happiness first. Very patient with naughty dogs that like to disappear too! We sadly lost one of our dogs and the team helped our other dog through her bereavement and ensured she was walked with other dogs she liked and played with. Highly recommend the team. 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
Dotdot have looked after my dog whilst I was away. It was my first prolonged absence away from my rescue dog since getting him and I could not be happier with how fantastic their care was. He had an amazing time with Zoe and Laura (far more than he would with me) so much so he has spent the day at the front door waiting for Zoe to return! They really went above and beyond in looking after him and I received so many updates to keep my mind at rest whilst away. I cannot express enough thanks or recommend their services highly enough! X
DotDot are absolutely fantastic, don't know what we'd do without them. They regularly help out, even at short notice in a time of need. Highly recommended. Our Pup loves going on walks and it's good to get "pupdates" on how they are going during the day.
A fantastic kennels (Hotel) for your dogs 🐶 to stay when you go away 👍 We have taken out little man quite a few times in the last 6 months due to an unforeseen family situation. At first we were hesitant about kennels for our puppy but visiting this established kennels on demand without an appointment showed us the quality, cleanliness and professional environment where we hoped he would be safe and well looked after. We can honestly say without any hesitation ‘Douglas’ our young cocker spaniel literally drags us in and goes bonkers when he sees the very same staff time and time again. The staff are what really sets this place apart, they are very passionate and extremely caring with Douglas and they have told me certain characteristics about Douglas that only someone who spends quality time with him would know and appreciate.! Micheal the owner leads with his exceptional positive customer service skills and is always smiling and happy to chat no matter how busy they are, and they are very busy! I have no hesitation in Highly recommended for anyone looking for an established quality run kennels to leave their cherished pets at.
What genuinely lovely people who cared about us and our relationship and feelings with our dog. One of the few who welcomed us to view their business without appointment. We didn't inconvenience them by dropping in. They welcomed us and showed us how well we could care for our dog and reassure us. Everywhere was clean, smelled sweet, and was full of dogs who visited regularly. We felt so confident that our dog would be cared for, safe and secure. They listened and recognised my concerns. They encouraged me to take small, slow steps so that we would all feel secure in our dogs' future visits. We are very happy that our dog will be loved and cared for by these lovely people
I’m so in love with these kennels, my Missy loves it. It’s a case of when I go on holidays so does she. Michael is so caring, as are the rest of the staff, they even load her snuffle toys for her. I would never dream of going elsewhere because when she is with Michael and the team I have absolutely no need to worry and can enjoy my holidays as much as she is enjoying hers.Thank you all the team xxx🫶🏼
This is the first time we have used these kennels, very happy with the care that our little man received whilst in their care, he was so happy when we collected him which is a good sign as we have used other kennels in the past and he wasn't himself when we collected him. The staff here are lovely and the place is very clean and welcoming, will definitely use them when we go away again. Thankyou for looking after ozzy 😊
Update June 2023: Went to collect Freddie from his house who had been given one word 'kennels' and I got one head turn as he raced to my car, tail like a windmill and demanding 'hurry up and get that car door open!' On arrival at Warley Cross raced out of the car and greeted all the members of staff and was booked in. Turned 'aren't you coming in with me?' So we slipped out and he settled and happily went in. Says a lot! What's nice is he will be equally excited to see us when we pick him up and will rush into the car. 2022 I am the chauffer for my friend and her 'kiddies' (1 dog and 2 cats) and I am so impressed with Warley Cross! We would highly recommend this place. Used them for her holidays and during the recent house move. Accessibility: Level drive, ramp, speaker buzzer, but on the inside the porch if assistance with doors if needed. Car parking level and close to the building. Lots of double security gates (needed) to keep animals safe. Car Park: Level and of course free Cattery: Secure and beautifully clean with comfort blankets etc. Kennels: I dud not go in, but my friend says equally good. Kiddies Opinion: The dog loves the place and the staff and gets so excited on arrival, equally excited to see us puck him up. The Cats, we'll cats are cats, but happy there. Parents Opinion: I know we have to travel a few miles to get here, but I trust them... Staff: Brilliant, know each guest, but check details each time to see if anything us new. Always chat with us and remember details. Toilets: Never asked, however we visited the Garden Centre to decompress after a busy move, hot chocolate and wandered around the plants and Xmas display
Our Dalmatian Neville has has 2 fabulous weekend stays here recently(in July 2024) He has come back home a very happy boy and when we arrive on site he is very happy and excited to see the team and goes off quite happily. Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable team.
No need to send your dog anywhere else. The care, attention and love they’ll receive while at Warley Cross is unparalleled. I trust them completely and my dog is always so excited to arrive and totally exhausted when he leaves. Thank you!
Absolutely fantastic kennels. Just had our quite timid 2 Yr old labrador with them for 2 weeks and so glad we chose here. Immaculatey clean, brilliant facilities, fantastic attention to detail and the 100% welfare of the residents. As owners we were made to feel special and know for sure our dog was treated as if he was royalty. Really can't praise them enough and we will definitely be back. Thankyou so much.
Basil and Rosie loved their weeks holiday at Warley Cross Kennels. Such tentative owners and staff and it was clear how much they love and cared for our dogs. Thank you so much, they will be back next year!
As so many people say "Everything happens for a reason" this was definitey true for us. The previous kennels we have used for years suddenly changed the drop-off and collection times and such new hours were totally untenable for us so we asked around our dog owning friends for recommendations for different kennels and absolutely everyone said the same thing ..Warley Cross Kennels and Cattery. So we got my boys booked in and also got a short tour of the premises. Spotlessly clean, great layout, nice dog pens and very secure. What impressed us even more was that as we went on an impromptu tour absolutely everyone we saw were welcoming and greeted us with big smiles. Having today collected our two dogs Tanglefoot a d Dyla after a one night stay I love Warley Cross even more! Both dogs appeared very happy and they certainly didn't show any sighs of stress as they had always done in our previous kennels. In future we'll be Warley Cross all the way. Thank you Michael and all the team!
SUPERB SERVICE! Holidays4Dogs took care of everything. Our dog carer was a lovely dog experienced lady who listened to all our dog's needs. Our 2 dogs had a wonderful stay with their carer, the photo and message updates were great to have while we were away. I knew they were happy on holiday which gave me great peace of mind. I'd have no worries at all using Holidays4Dogs again. Highly recommended to anyone anxious about leaving their dog for the first time.
Banksy had a lovely stay with Anne & Robert and their dog Molly. He went on lovely walks in the woods and settled down very well with them. It gave us peace of mind, knowing he was happy and well cared for while we were away. Would definitely recommend Holiday 4 Dogs (Suffolk).
We booked our 5 yo cocker spaniel to stay with carer Helen in Boston Spa for 2 weeks and could not have chosen a more dedicated and loving host. We felt very reassured by Helen in every respect and she kept in regular touch with us throughout our holiday. We will definitely be booking with Helen again
John and Amanda are new carers to my area. I was quite happy to leave Sam with them after our initial friendly welcome meeting at their home. They looked after Sam just for one night while we were away for new year. It was lovely and appreciated to receive a photo of him all settled in that evening. A lovely couple to trust with my precious fur baby. Will definitely use Amanda and John again and highly recommend them.......
Ann looked after our Cavalier Briar in October 2021, and I really can't remember whether I left a review or not. I do want to say however that Briar enjoyed her stay with Ann very much. When we left her we felt we had absolute confidence that our little dog would be well looked after, and it was truly home from home. I would have no hesitation in recommending both Holidays for Dogs in general, and Ann in particular. If ever we needed to leave Briar again in the future we would be very happy to use this service again. It is extremely good value for money, and gave us such peace of mind. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Thank you to all involved in arranging it, and in particular to Ann. Kathleen Nicholson
Very happy leaving Leo with Dave, I am sure he settled and was well cared for. Lovely to have regular updates while away. Would happily use holidays for dogs again.
Brenda is a fantastic carer my dog holly loves going to brenda carnt falt her will def use her again only prob I have with hfd was no refund if your holliday is cancelled due to covid will give a credit not for next booking but wont refund cash
Great team who will find your dog the perfect holiday home when you are away
Amazing service my dog really happy
Thay are bunch of non professional, beaware!!!!!!!!!
I have taken my Cocker Spaniel 1 day a week for several months now. When I go to pick him up he really doesn’t want to leave which I’d say is a pretty good indication of how much fun he’s had. Both Claire and Jill really care about the dogs and I trust them to look after my boy.
Our 9 month old puppy stayed here two days whilst we were on holiday locally. Claire was absolutely lovely over the phone, I was nervous about leaving him but didn't need to be, he had the best time playing with the other dogs and you can tell she just loves them all. Would highly recommend!
Our dogs love Dutch Barn where they socialise with other dogs of all shapes and sizes. When we walk down the lane and turn into Dutch Barn they excitedly pull on their leads to get in and see their friends again.
My friend takes her two Bassets on a regular basis and they love it. Plenty of play time and excellent knowledgeable care. Not too many dogs at any one time and regular updates on how thier day (the dogs) is going. Amy is just so wonderful with them.
Our dog spent the day here while we were out for the day. She seemed to have had a lovely day, and we also got an update photo text, which was appreciated.
I’m a small business owner myself so I’m very well aware of how ratings can affect a business. However, it’s with a heavy heart I’m having to write this, but when we take our pet to daycare we put complete trust in the person we’re leaving them with and I do believe people need to have a well rounded view before they make this decision, as if we knew prior to our experience we could have avoided it. Our dog has been going to daycare for the past 3 months and has thoroughly enjoyed it. I can’t deny that. There’s nothing I love more than having a sneaky look on Facebook at work and seeing her running around with her friends having the time of her life! However, my dog (who is 11 months old) is a gobby little thing, and has always been a bit of a barker. We addressed our concerns about this with Mildred on multiple occasions and she said our pup had picked it up from the other dogs and it’s absolutely not a problem, she informed us it’s natural and not something we need to worry about or try to change. We even suggested taking her to a behaviourist but Mildred said the behaviourist would just say the same thing as her and that it isn’t something that needs fixing. We’ve then just had a text to say she can no longer come to daycare because she barks too much and she has a loud bark. I completely understand this could be a problem, however I’m just so shocked with how suddenly we’ve been dropped and with no time to find a solution. Seeing as she isn’t due in daycare until the 7th January after this week, we’d have hoped to have this time to see a behaviourist and find a solution but we have been told very bluntly this isn’t an option. I’ve questioned the suddenness of the problem to Mildred and have been told it’s been a problem in the past week, I’ve also been sent a video of my dog who seems to be in distress and very much not acting herself. Despite how sudden it’s been, Mildred is adamant nothing has happened and that she isn’t poorly. I’m quite frankly shocked at the disregard and lack of care from someone I trusted with my very beloved dog but at least I have an explanation of why we’ve barely been greeted for the past week by Mildred. We’ve just picked her up and my partner went in with the intention of saying nothing but as soon as he arrived, Mildred started shouting at him and trying to shift blame. Before he could even speak she felt the need to throw in that “nothing has happened”, we hadn’t questioned this so it’s incredibly unusual that she brought it up! I must admit we are heartbroken, we’ve allowed our dog who we care about more than anything to go to someone who seems not bothered whether she’s ill or unhappy, she’s just decided she’s happy to never see her again. Even if she were misbehaving, which she hasn’t been, you would assume a “dog lover” would at least be concerned about her wellbeing and sad to see her go but she literally couldn’t care less. Just to add - we don’t have a difficult dog, wherever we go people comment on how well behaved and kind natured she is and given the chance to go to a behaviourist she could have continued to go to the place she loves for many years. I’m both sad, disappointed and shocked and I just wanted to tell this story as a cautionary tale to prevent anyone going through the same thing. I feel sick to my stomach that I’ve allowed a person with this little care for animals to have the responsibility of looking after my dog.
Excellent place to leave your dog for the day. Clare who runs the place is great with the dogs and even messages you through the day to let you know how your friend is
Our dog has been going to Dutch Barn for 3 yrs. Mildred provides an excellent service and very reasonable rates. We trust Mildred impeccably with our dog. Great place.
Mildred is a charming and caring lady. Daisy my 11 year old Labrador had a great day .totally satisfied would highly recommend.
Our dog had her free trial there and absolutely loved it. Great place for dogs to socialise
Took our cockapoo Kara for her first time in kennels for a week. She absolutely loved it which was very evident in the daily photos that the staff uploaded to their website. Would definitely recommend booking early.
This was the first time we've boarded our 7 month old Cockerpoo and it would be fair to say we were more than a little nervous. We needn't have worried. Cooper was with Happy-Hounds for two weeks and he appears to have enjoyed every minute. Phil and Rich couldn't have been more helpful. From sending us regular pictures of Cooper playing with new found friends to a full debrief when we returned we knew we'd found a wonderful "home-from-home" for Cooper going forward. I can't thank them enough.
Happy Hounds Doggy Daycare is nothing short of fabulous, and Wilson literally drags me from the van to the reception !! He has made lots of friends and loves running around the paddocks with them. Phil and Rich are great, and it's obvious they love dogs, as are the rest of the Team, all of whom have been there for a long time, which says a lot. I recommend to lots of my customers :-)
Phil and Richard provide the most caring and professional boarding and day care service any dog owner could ask for ! They care for the dogs and provide an excellent service as do all the staff who work there. They are part of my dog's life and she loves every day she spends there. They have taught her so much in her 2 years if attending and helped her become the amazing dog that she is. I never worry about my dog being there as I know she is in good hands , playing with her buddies. Health and safety is spot on and hot weather protocols in place. Fantastic service all round , thanks guys 🐾🐾
Phil & Richard, Thanks again for today! First visit today and what a difference compared to how he’s behaved after a day in Doggy Day Care elsewhere. He is so calm, in fact Bert is currently 'out for the count' on the settee so we are enjoying our evening meal in peace which is lovely. Thanks again!
Cracking modern kennels with great staff. Our Weim can't wait to get out of the truck when I pull in the drive 😁 and she's tired out after playing with her pals when I pick her up from day care. …
Our two and a half year old Springer Spaniel, Bettie, has boarded here several times. The care Bettie receives is amazing. We can leave her, happy in the knowledge that she is in safe hands. Yesterday was the first time that I had taken Bettie to Happy Hounds for grooming. She looks beautiful we are highly satisfied. Thank you.
Massive thanks to phil/rich and all the staff at happy hounds.milo golden retriever 7 months old had a fantastic stay.from start to finish we knew our boy was happy and seeing the fb posts was a fantastic reassuring thing. We would recommend happy hounds to anyone wanting a home from home experience for their dogs. Milo is one very happy tired boy after his stay 💙
Absolutely amazing service! So passionate and made everything feel relaxed leaving our puppy. He is so exited whenever he realises he’s going to Happy Hounds!! Always lots of pictures on social media showing what an amazing day he has had! Would recommend to everyone!!
Went to happy hounds for a viewing before we booked in our 2 dogs. I had messaged in advance in regards to veiwing and was told to bring the dogs with us. Upon arrival we was asked to wait for 10 mins as they we doing another tour. At this point they saw the dogs. After the wait we was then told they don't except any husky or husky mixes at all. This information is not on the website! After wasting 1 hour travelling and waiting there was no apology. If this information was given on the website or when I booked for a viewing then this would not have happened.
Our Labrador loves it here, flexible, professional but most of all they really get to know your dog. Rusty loves his visits - thank you!
Excellent cattery, ours have always been well looked after and happy there. The one difficulty is parking; there is only a small area, which is often full at busy times. Getting into it by turning across the traffic at the top of Londesborough hill, immediately after the sharp bend on the A614, can be worrying.
Recently placed our 2 dogs and cat for boarding over a two week Christmas break, two of which had never been boarded before. Always a little concerned when leaving them but need have no fears. The facilities are first class - clean, airy and modern. The cat enjoyed the newly installed high level look out facility and basked in the winter sun. The dogs were housed together in a large enclosure, although all are bigger than average. One of whom is sensitive to the cold had a continual heat lamp whenever required. Whilst obviously happy to greet us on our return they also jumped up with wagging tails to greet their carer ( the son of the owners, Brian ) as we left. What more could you ask for as confirmation of a contended stay?
Brian at Londesborough boarding kennels was wonderful with Rusty , he stayed for a week at these lovely kennels. Rusty was very anxious, as he was a rescued dog who had been thrown from a car. Brian was very calm , friendly and understanding.when we collected Rusty , he was much calmer.we will use these kennels again and recommend them. Thank you for the care given to Rusty .
Our 2 cats were well looked after. Helen really cares about the welfare of the animals in her care.
This is the second time we have used this family run kennels, and I have to say they do a fantastic service and my dog Buddy goes running in all excited and comes out looking very well looked after, would throughly recommend them to anyone who worries leaving their dog, as you can message them to check all is ok and put your mind at rest, Fabulous ❤️ Tina x
The owner is keen attentive and always flexible. My dog loves his holidays and pulls all the way to his kennel. Excellent.
We have used these kennels before and have been confident that our dogs are well cared for by an experienced team, thank you once again ( now Deborah Davey )
Lovely setting friendly staff
We use them every year. Very well organised
Absolutely appalling customer service. Been taking my puppy regularly to the ‘Puppy Nights’ on a Monday, unfortunately I did forget this evening as in hospital with my little girl. I was asked if I was coming tonight, to which I sincerely apologised for and had been stuck in hospital. The response I got was with absolutely not sympathy or condolences and slapped with an invoice, which I have paid. But absolutely disgusting service.
Wouldn't dare leave my dog there again. Make sure you ask to see behind scenes before leaving your dog in their care, also check staff to dog ratio. Staff seem to have no idea how to entertain dogs other than shove them all together to entertain themselves. Your dog is just a number!
