We feel like we’ve won the pet and house sitter lotto with Scott. Most importantly, he’s taken great care of our much loved little dog, giving him a lot of care, affection and attention. He paid close attention when Tingsha began scratching (allergy to an insect bite) which needed vet care, with great communication with us. He even took Tingsha to his agility school class each week (great fun had by all) and to get a groom. We’ve come home to a contented and very happy dog. The house is spotless, cleaner than we left it, with fresh flowers and the bed all made up. Perfect! We had regular contact with Scott all through our five week trip and being “fellow travellers” (in all senses) enjoyed sharing lots of local travel tips and experiences as we each visited new parts of the world. We were happy to lend Scott our car and he’s been great with it, super responsible. Scott is a really terrific guy and a fabulous journalist and story teller (you must listen to his podcast about his travels, it’s a cracker). In sharing our home and trusting our beloved dog with him, we feel like we’ve made a new friend along the way. We recommend Scott without any hesitation and thank him for a wonderful experience, we’d love him to come back and see us, anytime. Thanks a bunch!

This was our first time using a pet or house sitter and the bar set by Leslie is very high! She is warm, friendly, communicative, responsible and very clean. Upon arriving, she immediately bonded with our rat terrier, Oreo, by bringing him a new frisbee (his favorite toy/activity) and throwing it for him in our backyard. Leslie has a sweet and mellow dog, Benny, who is now Oreo's new buddy! She kept my husband and I updated via texts/pictures of their daily activities, our house, and was proactive in asking questions before she left. She even dropped our dog off at the kennel for one night at the end of our trip since our flight was too late for us to get home for him! Our home was clean and had fresh flowers from our garden that she put in vases for us! Such a simple and nice touch! We have asked Leslie to come back to sit for us again for 2 weeks in August. I'd highly recommend her to take care of your pet(s) and home too!

Sharon was a fantastic sitter for our week away! She left the house as tidy and clean as we left it, including changing the sheets for our arrival. I truly cannot even tell she was here and that made coming home after a long travel day so much easier. She was communicative every step of the way and provided daily updates on our cat with photos. What a lovely couple Tara and Tyler are. They had been in Scottsdale about six weeks before the house sit. and can to meet us. Rusé, our Toy Fox Terrier, fell in love with them immediately, and was in Tara’s arms within two minutes. We always like our sitters to arrive the day before we leave, take them out to dinner and get to know them. It was quite apparent from the videos and photos we received, that Rusé did not miss us. Tara and Tyler’s three grown up children joined them before Xmas-to Rusé’s delight as these were additional hands to throw his rubber bones and balls. The house was all clean and tidy, when we returned.. There is a strong possibility that Tara and Tyler will move to Arizona from Montana, with two of their children, recently moved to the area. They have already offered to look after Rusé in the future. We know he would love it. We cannot recommend Tyler and Tara higher enough, they were perfect House and Pet sitters

Kyle was a great house sitter and pet sitter for us. We had a good dialogue prior to him sitting for us, and we also did a short walkthrough the week before. Kyle formed a great bond with our dog Charlie and also took good care of our rabbit Poppy. A couple of minor issues came up with systems in our home due to an unexpected power outage, and Kyle was quick to connect with us and then was able to work 1:1 with the service providers to resolve the issues. We look forward to working with Kyle again.

We were so happy to have Kyle as our house sitter for two weeks. Besides taking great care of our pets and our house, he was very accommodating. We were always able to get in touch with him if we needed to, and he agreed to take on some extra plant watering’s when the weather made a sudden change. As a bonus, he is very likable and communicative. We would definitely have him come again.

Elaine was a welcomed sitter for Cyrus and Purrelli. I returned from holiday to find a very content relaxed dog and a happy fat cat. Neil and Anne have just sat for us for a second time, for a week. They are outstanding sitters in every way. Always punctual with communication and arrival. They both have responsible jobs and this is evident as they are both very organised. They care very much about the animals they look after. We were regularly sent updates, pictures and video clips of them, which is great to see when you are away. When we came home we were greeted by happy pets and an immaculately tidy house. We cannot recommend Neil and Anne enough. As far as we are concerned they are perfect housesitters! …...Hopefully they will come back and sit again soon!

Starling review for this kennel! I cannot recommend this kennel highly enough. From the moment I dropped my dog off, I knew she was in great hands. Very professional and calming demeanor from Johnny, facilities are spotless, ensuring some privacy for every dog. Johnny was quick to provide me with updates which gave me peace of mind, as my dog struggles with separation anxiety. It is very obvious that staff there genuinely loves animals. Only Recently heard of Madra Motel and we are so glad we did. Our Retriever is almost a year old and he is a hairy ball of energy. He loved his weekend stay here and was 100% himself when we brought him home, he was so excited and you could tell he fully enjoyed his stay here. (we only ever had one experience of a different kennels and Kai came home cowering and took him a few days to get back to his usual crazy character) 5 stars from us and Kai for Madra Motel.
Cannot recommend Jonathan and Madra Motel enough! Its our first time using a kennel for Monty and were put at ease immediately by Jonathan. Thank you for everything, we will be back and will recommend to all our family & friends!
Again another amazing holiday for both Kylie and Luna (2 engergetic labradors) and my girls and I. So amazing to be able to head away knowing that they are being so well looked after by Johnny. When I always pick Kylie and Luna up they are in such good form and when the get back home it's as if they haven't been away because Madra Motel is a home from home!!! Thanks again so much Johnny!!!!

Madra Motel Boarding Kennels have been a god send to us! Johnny & Rhona really care about dogs and their facilities are second to none! Johnny is always so responsive on Whatsapp making booking so easy and quick and he regularly sends us updates on our Rocky's stay! Rocky does have a great time there and we know he is so well looked after! I would have no hesitation recommending Madra Motel and just know your dog will be looked after by Johnny & Rhona like their own dogs!
The facilities here are clean, the owners great to deal with and the dogs happy! Our dog Lola stayed for two weeks and had lots of fun playing with the other dogs there and seemed almost depressed the night she came home with us! Jonny was very responsive, and was sending us videos of playtime via WhatsApp every few days to keep us informed. Last year, Lola stayed at a different kennel and came home filthy dirty and very smelly, but not so this year. 😃👍
My dog stays at Madra Motel from time to time. He loves it there. Johnny is so good with the dogs which makes it a lot easier to leave your dog there. I would really recommend this place

Dropped our Cavachon (Sandy) into Wagalot at short notice. The kennels are in a rural location about 20 minutes off the M6 and about 40 minutes from Galway. Hilary is a very friendly and whitty character which even came across over the phone when booking. Hilary was concerned about how nervous Sandy was and decided to bring her into her own home. She spoiled our little princess and even gave her a hair cut which was the best she has ever got. You can tell that Hilary and family are dog lovers and that certainly came across. Hilary was in contact with us about how Sandy was getting on which we thought was a very thoughtful thing to do. We will definitely use Hilary if we are holidaying in the West of Ireland again.

Our precious wee dog Pal spent two nights this past week at this boarding Kennell. Number one the lady who runs it Liz couldn't be any nicer. She made us & Pal feel very at home and at ease . Facilities as kennels go are good, however, after calling to collect our dog, albeit, outside of 'after 2 and before 4 ' I was told at the door by a teenager that she was not in charge of the facility and that her father was away ' in town'. I'd be very surprised if there was only 1 set if keys.... I then had to pay the additional fee for going in to the second day, which to honest didn't bother me in the least , what annoyed me most I had to drive home 20 miles to oranmore , wait 2 hours and then come .... Hence the 1 star.

I can’t thank the staff enough for how amazing they were. My two Omen & Nugget had a really great time out at the kennels. The staff were always so kind to my two girls. Really made a difference knowing they were somewhere safe, while I got proper accommodation.
We are always grateful for the care that is shown to our collie Coco. She is a rescue dog and Brian is always able to put her at her ease and it is clear she thoroughly enjoys her annual trip to Galway. Such is our peace of mind knowing she is well cared for we drive from Dublin to Ardrahan with Coco each summer.
Amazing Kennels, I leave my loon Luna (a very busy collie) 😂 at Galway Kennels each year for the last 3 years since she has been a puppy and she just loves the place. I know she is well looked after each time she stays and I can leave her in confidence that she will be happy and have lots of furry friends to play with while she is there. Would definitely recommend.
We were away for a few days and our pet Jessie, absolutely seemed to have a wonderful time. When we arrived there she really looked to be having fun with the other dogs. Can’t recommend Galway kennels enough. Our dog gets so excited when she knows she arrives there. Brian and the young lady I dealt with were most accommodating. Brian is very knowledgeable about dogs in general and their behaviour and I feel entirely comfortable leaving our pet in their care and will always do so.
Great kennels. Brian was able to tell us all about our dog's characteristics which goes to show he spent proper time to getting to know and taking care of him. He got well socialized with other suitable dogs. Can't fault it and would definitely recommend. This was my first time using kennels and I think it's actually more of a holiday for the dog then us! Haha he loved it!
Our *boisterous* 9 month old male Labrador stayed here for 2 weeks and had the time of his life. The set up and layout is excellent with focus not just on security and hygiene but also on keeping the dogs happy. Brian wasn’t remotely fazed by our high energy pup and I cannot recommend Galway Kennels highly enough.
Galway Kennels is our 'go-to' kennels for boarding our two dogs. They absolutely love it and get super excited when we pull up. We have no doubts about how well they are taken care of, and how much they love to be there - we sometimes struggle to get them back into the car to leave! I have never seen another kennels with such a nice set up, with cosy kennels (including doubles so our boys get to stay together) that do not feel like cages, and a range of outdoor spaces for the doggos to play. Highly recommend.
I called in to see the kennels before I booked the dogs in. I was very impressed. The kennels themselves are warm (with 2 lit stoves as it was November) and welcoming and scrupulously clean. Well laid out with plenty of space and couches around for the dogs to make themselves at home on. And they do. We booked our 3 dogs in for 10 days and from when I arrived with them they made themselves at home. Comfy beds waiting for them in the spacious enclosure. They get great exercise in the doggie play areas also. Brian is an absolute gent who is great with the dogs. I felt they were in good hands all the time I was away. When I came to collect the dogs were in great form. I will definitely book them in again. A home from home for my dogs. They may find home boring after their stay at Galway Kennels which really is more like a dog hotel. Thanks so much for looking after Bowie, Ramsey and Clem so well 😊

Great boarding kennel for your furry friend. It's in a lovely area or in the country in Tuam. The owner Yolanda is friendly and very good to the animals. She takes dogs for a long nice walk every day. The kernels themselves are nice, tidy and clean.
