Paula is absolutely amazing! She house sits for us. She is very attentive, always on time, and my dogs are always happy when I get home! Definitely recommend!!!!

I've had Paula the MT Pleasant Pet Nanny look after my cat a few times and she's done a FANTASTIC job! I always get a pic or two every time she comes to check on her, a text with an update, or something about how she is doing. Paula is VERY responsive, very flexible, and truly caring about the pets she watches. Couldn't ask for better care for my furbaby!!!

I have an 75lb giant ball of anxiety. Nancy and her staff have been absolutely great at helping us slowly ease him into being comfortable staying at the Bed and Biscuit. I know he is well taken care of and safe, and I also appreciate Nancy's attention to detail when it comes to making sure all pets are up to date on vaccines. I love the day care option, it is great when we are going to be out town just long enough for me to worry that it will be too long for him. Highly, highly recommend Bed and Biscuit!

I made a reservation and worked with them to get shot records to them. Found them to be very nit-picky. We have given our dogs their routine shots for years as we've had a kennel in the past. We couldn't get our dog in for the first influenza shot so gave it ourselves. All other shots were administered in the vets office. Three weeks later, they refused to accept our shot records and referred us out to another kennel. Now I'm scrambling get another reservation.

Took my 3 furbabies here for boarding during our recent vacation. Staff is very professional and kind. I picked up my pets at 9:30 and they had already been outside twice; that doesn't even happen at home!! I've already reserved a spot for our next trip!

This place is amazing! My dog has severe anxiety issues when she's away from home. So much so that I've often driven her two hours one way to stay with family when we've been gone. That wasn't an option this time around, and after meeting Nancy (who you can tell right away knows and loves dogs!) I believed Bed and Biscuit would be the one place where my dog would feel "at home." We returned to find her happy and relaxed. She'd eaten well (not always the case in the past), made a dog friend, and hadn't even needed the anxiety medication her vet had prescribed for her. It was unbelievable. I'm grateful for the love and attention she received while we were away. The peace of mind we feel is invaluable.

I can not say enough nice things about The Bed & Biscuit Pet Resort. The owner Nancy and her staff are attentive, friendly and accommodating. She made me feel so good about leaving Chicken there for two weeks and when we picked her up she was a happy cat. My husband and I have never had such a good experience with pet boarding. Our cat Chicken is a bit particular and requires a lot of love. Not only did they allow us to bring in her electronic water dish (she won't drink water without it), her blanket and the many toys she requires but the space she gets to stay in is huge! It's the size of small bathroom with a window and perch for her to look out of. I only want to bring her to this place, it is absolutely the best around. I didn't worry at all when we were on our trip and instead was able to enjoy it knowing Chicken was in good hands.

Bed & Biscuit is a 5 star "doggy hotel". We have been taking her there for several years. She always seems excited when we get to their door.

Our fur family loves staying at Bed & Biscuit (we call it Camp). It's almost like their favorite babysitter, only better!

My dogs LOVE Bed & Biscuit...they cry and carry on when they realize we're on our way there. And then they practically pull my arm out of the socket as they head to the front door! They are always excited to see whoever is working, and they know the routine--that they're immediately let out into the spacious fenced yard to run and run. My older dog is on three medications, and they are administered properly, so I'm always at ease knowing both dogs are being taken care of properly. The only issue I ever have is that the dogs are so exhausted when they get home (but that's wonderful as it helps me adjust after time away)!

We recently relocated to the area, and left behind built-in dogsitting via family members. Our dog is pretty high maintenance, and not great with people and dogs she doesn't know, so we were hesitant to engage a service like this. We did a test-run for one night, then two longer stays while we were out of town, and I'm happy to say that all three went flawlessly. The people at Bed & Biscuit are friendly and they understand dogs. Our pup has come home no worse for wear, and exhausted, each time we've left her here. We'll definitely come back to Bed & Biscuit for our dog boarding needs.

I've been taking my dog here for years. They take wonderful care of my boy and I will for sure continuing boarding my dog here. They are super friendly!

I have taken my dogs to Northwoods for care from surgery to unfortunately end of life care and they have all been outstanding. The veterinarians , the technicians and the office staff have all been helpful and kind. I have appreciated the ability to book appointments quickly and all of the kindness they have given to my furry family and myself. Thank you.

What an amazing staff! They got my sweet boy in as a new client on an emergency visit and fixed him right up after he had a tussle with a dog twice his size. The doctor was so kind and informative, the techs were absolutely amazing! Everyone was so friendly from reception to the vets! Thank you all so very much for being so sweet to Inky and I both!

I’ve always had a positive experience here but until today when I had the male vet, he talked to me if I were stupid and was very wishy-washy on his answers which had me feeling uneasy about the whole appt, he didn’t bother to look at her chart to see what she exactly needed just assume she had no shots, then couldn’t tell me if she was pregnant said it could be a false pregnancy even though she went from 3 pounds to 8 pounds in the last month, I just feel in my own opinion that either she is pregnant or he should’ve checked her for something else that could cause that to happen. Really enjoy the female doctor better and will be requesting her from now. All of the staff is very friendly and sweet!

I love taking my fur babies here. We got a new kitten and they were so amazing with her for all of her tests, vaccines, and her spay! Everyone was so nice, so gentle, so sweet with her, and always excited to see her. We've also had to bring in our older cat for a very bad urinary blockage and we weren't sure he was going to make it, but Dr. Kolesar and his team worked very hard, even coming in over the weekend, to keep our sweet old man alive, even when we thought there was no hope for him. I truly am grateful that they were able to save our fur baby and now he's back to his grumpy old man, yet very cuddly, old self. Every time I come in with our kitten, they always make sure to ask how he's doing. I've never taken my animals to a clinic where they were this caring, loving, and amazing like Northwoods Pet Care Center!

If I could leave 0 stars I would! The people who work here are absolutely the most rude that I have ever encountered in my entire life. The vet Kolesar was so self-righteous and showed no empathy. Do not recommend!!! Whole story - A kitten that weighed 0.7 pounds was crying in my yard and I decided to take it in as mine. I took him to NWPCC for an initial appointment and purchased the "kitten package". The kitten ended up having a congenital condition which is why it's mother had kicked it out of her nest. The kitten was becoming deformed to the point of not being able to walk and began refusing to eat. He knew he wasn't going to heal from this and was giving up his fight. I took him to NWPCC to end his suffering. After I had this heartbreaking situation they tell me that since I didn't use everything offered in the "kitten package" that they will have to charge me for what I did use individually. Which costs more... I lost my baby kitty before he could get to use the rest of the package and now they say I owe them $111.19. I used less and lost a pet and they say I owe them more for the absolutely absurd pricing situation I found myself in. Aka attempted theft! Ridiculous in itself but the vet was literally so rude that I'm leaving my first review ever to try and save you and your pet from this terrible place. I'm so sorry to everyone who has themselves or thru a pet been hurt by this place🤍

This is not my normal vet. They got me and my kittens in quickly when they were in rough shape. They were infested with all the parasites possible. They gave them a dewormer and an antibiotic and they are feeling much better. My only complaint is that I feel a bit like it was too expensive and I worried that because my one kitten threw up the dewormer that it might have not been effective. I was told that it should be anyways, going into my normal vet today to have them recheck them. It's been ten days. I am grateful they took us and treated the kitties because, I don't think they would have made it until today, when the normal vet could take them.

My poor doggo had parvo and a 30% chance of pulling thru but one weekend stay with these guys I'm forever grateful. He's 4 now and they were the only ones that would take him in without 150$ upfront for a appointment. Was a phone all and basically a walk in

I was honestly surprised with my experience here. The ladies totally double checked everything they did and did amazing! The vet knew almost immediately what was wrong and fixed the problem. I will definitely will use this place again ♥️

We absolutely love this place. They are always so friendly. We have 5 dogs and we bring them all here. We have had to bring our doggos in for regular checkups, vaccinations and surgery and every single time the staff has been kind, patient and caring. I very highly recommend this place for fur baby care. We brought our cat in recently with health complications and they were so quick to not only get a diagnosis, but to find the right treatment option. Our fat cat was not in the mood to be poked and prodded so they simply waited to take his temp until after the exam so he had a chance to calm down. 10/10 recommend

I took my dog into the vet to have a hemotoma lanced. I was told she would be there overnight. She was seen a few days prior and went home with antibiotics. I called they said everything went fine. I went to pick her up the next day and she was deceased. I asked what happened and they tried to say it was an underlying condition. I don’t think so ,she was perfectly healthy when I took her in. I won’t ever take another animal here. Ever!!! They were very as a matter of fact and didn’t charge for surgery or cremation but. But got upset when I said I think we should take her to Msu for an autopsy. She was my heart.

We have just used Paula's Pet Sitting service for the first time with 3 of our whacky kitties, and it was the least stressful absence we've EVER had! It's so nice to have the peace of mind that everything is taken care of and to be able to see and read that all the critters are acting normally. Thank you so much, team! We have used Paula's Pet Sitting for over 2 years now and taken advantage of the wide range of services they offer. They are always flexible with our ever changing schedule and always go above and beyond to make sure our fur baby is taken care of. Another great feature is the time to pet app that they use. Everyday I get an update with pictures of how our little fur baby is doing during her visit. The pet sitters are always professional and always respond quickly to questions and schedule changes. I have only used them a few times so far but HIGHLY recommend!!! My friends first showed me how to get a pet sitter with an app while I was away visiting them and I loved the idea so I could set up times without having to call. When my one of my other friends told me about Paula's Pet Sitting it was exactly what I wanted! Unlike Rover and Wag you get to meet your team and that was extremely important to me. They came, saw where we kept pet items in the house, and met me and my pups. When they came both times, they were fantastic! They let you know when they have arrived, and then at the end they send you pictures of their visit as well as a message letting you know how it went. It is so nice to have finally found a pet sitter I feel comfortable with and with many options to use (dog walks, mid day let outs, overnights, etc.). Again, I HIGHLY recommend them.

I brought home a 6 week old puppy and hated leaving him alone during the day. Driving home on my lunch break daily was not a sustainable plan. A friend recommended Paula's pet sitting and I am so pleased I contacted them! My puppy gets visits twice a day and loves each woman on the team that is assigned to him. They refresh his water, prep Kong toys, replace soiled potty pads, and send me a report with pictures after each visit. I am still working on training and the ladies work along with me. If I require the dog sits before a gate is opened, they do the same. If I reward my puppy for relieving himself in the correct place, they do to. I don't have to worry that visits are counteracting the training. If you are considering using a pet sitter- go with Paula's!

We used to avoid travelling because it was so uncomfortable asking friends and neighbors to care for our cat while we were gone and the cat would get upset and pee on the carpets. With Paula's we know our pets routine is as normal as possible so they're happy when we get back. They even water our plants and come at 12 hr intervals to administer meds to our 17 yr old cat.

We have moved to Midland in 2018 we needed to travel shortly there after. We are so lucky to have found Paula’s Petsitting. Without her and her staff it would’ve been very difficult to go on trips and feel assured that our “hairy “children are very well taken care of. Before moving here we used to “board “ our Pets and having them at home in their own environment is such a reassuring thing. Thank you for giving us peace of mind !

We hired Paula's pet sitting on 2 different occasions now. Their service is outstanding. The pet sitters are going above and beyond at each visit, they will check everything and keep you informed every step of the way. Last minute requests are responded to within minutes. Will definitely continue to use.

We planned a trip and three months before we left, decided to get two more westies, in addition to our four year old. We have only left the four year old with family members, but with two puppies, thought it would be best to keep their routine at home. Our vet recommended Paula's and the experience was wonderful! Daily updates and pictures made our vacation so much more enjoyable, knowing our boys were at home, playing in their own yard and sleeping in their own beds. Gigi did a wonderful job with the dogs and answered every question I had while we were gone!

Paula's Pet Sitting provides excellent care and recreation for my crazy cat, while providing me with peace of mind. And that is all I ask. I receive 'real time' reports and photos, which when shared with others always evokes the same response: "I don't get that kind of service from my pet sitter!" I will continue to use this service and confidently recommend it to others.

First time leaving any of our pets with anyone other than family/friends. I’ll never have to ask family/ friend to pet sit again. Our “baby”, Lady, was so well taken care of. She even came home in a festive handkerchief. So, so cute. WE WILL BE BACK!

First time using their service this weekend. We will definitely use them again. They asked us if we would like to tour the facility, and we did. Very clean and organized. Very nice people to work with. We have a black lab and an aussie-Doodle. Both well taken care of. Good prices too!

I rate below one star. I had called & left a VM about boarding my dog there. In the callback I outlined my dog's medical needs. The woman yelled at me, "WHY IS HE STILL ALIVE!" So unprofessional let alone cruel. That's between me & my vet. Just say no, don't be nasty about it!

My two dogs, Jax and Hunter, were very well cared for. They stayed for 5 days. They smelled nice when I picked them up and they seemed to really like the staff. Staff sent photos through text at my request while I was gone. Will always use this dog hotel for my hounds.

Alex took great care of my dog and was very patient with my slightly spoiled girl who hasn’t stayed away from home in years. He sent tons of pictures, videos, and text updates so I never worried about how she was doing. She enjoyed daily walks and lots of interaction with other friendly dogs, and they have room to wander the facility and the large yard with lots of human interaction so it’s close to staying at home. Alex is an excellent option if your dog isn’t comfortable being kenneled all day, we’ll definitely go back!

Our dog loves to go to Iva Road Dog sitting. When he knows we’re going, he follows me from room to room with a look that says “Let’s go, I want to go see my friends.” Alex sends pictures and videos throughout the stay. Alex is friendly and reliable. I highly recommend him.

Stella had a great time with all of her new friends! Alex kept her happy and feeling loved. She is a tired puppy after all of the fun! We will be back!

Our pups went to Alex for the first time this week. We loved all the updates with videos that we received. My elder, more timid dog was having a great time with the other dogs. Alex is a very caring dog care provider.

My dog Hurley stayed for 3 days and I could tell he was a very happy dog. He was well cared for. I wouldn't want to take my dog to anyone else. I received pictures everyday which I thoroughly enjoyed getting the updates. You can tell by the picture he was a happy boy.

Our dog Max has always received great care here. Alex sent daily pictures of Max on walks and playing with other dogs when we were on vacation. Knowing that Max was well cared for while we were away was very reassuring to us and helped us to fully enjoy our vacation!

I’ve observed Melody’s reviews are 4 yrs old. I’m not sure what has happened between these wonderful reviews and now, but we cannot, in good conscience, recommend her for multi pet, more complicated routines. Virtually no communication, even though we were promised check ins and pics. We were completely unable to get home to check on what was going on the first night and had to contact friends to drive to our home because Melody wasn’t answering texts or calls. Thankfully she was there, but still didn’t contact us that night. Small dog fed cat food (and got sick) cats given small dog food. Greyhound seemed to avoid having wrong food fed to her. Absolutely NO information given on how pets did. 0! When arrived back home we found a bag that was inadvertently left behind with what we believe the reasons for the poor experience were. Southern Comfort 100% and coke. We did amply pay her so that I could leave an honest review.

Melody is awesome, we have used her to care for our dog the last few years. He is a older dog with medical conditions specail diet and needs pills through out the day. She takes such good care of him and he enjoys his visits. He comes back happy and relaxed, not stressed. She is great with him we wouldn't leave him with anyone else.

Melody is such a sweet lady, and cares for our pets as if they were her own. She has such a clear love for animals, and is always our first choice to care for our pets when we’re away.

Melody was very accommodating and took great care of our dog. We would definitely recommend her services and our dog looks forward to visiting again in the future!

Herschel is a big, strong dog, and they handle him well. I was trepidatious about bringing him somewhere; however, the bathers are excellent with him! He looks younger and slimmer now.

First time in today with my Golden. The ladies did a great job with my boy. He looked great, smelled great and had a cute new bandana to come home with. I'll definitely bring him back. Hopefully he won't be so squirmy next time, lol.

Had my dog (Skye) groomed at TransFurMations, the staff are friendly and quick! My girl is a rescue and a bit of a diva but when I went to pick her up she looked and smelled great. 10/10 will be returning and will be recommending them to my friends/family! The price point is also very reasonable as well.

We have a longhair cat, Tazzy, and had lost total control over his coat. I was embarrassed, and I am sure he was, as well! This business is awesome, as they not only offered much-needed maintenance suggestions, but also seemed to understand how things got to this point, and I felt no judgement. Tazzy is gorgeous. They got every knot and tangle, which sometimes required 3 professionals!! He is so happy, out & about much more, and looks sleek and comfy. Thank you so much!! I highly recommend Kailee to groom our 3 pups. I’ve never had anyone else groom them, but all the girls seem very friendly. I think it’s a very clean and spacious salon. I definitely give them a five star.*****

Went in on Wednesday after work for a walk-in nail trim. My dog is not always the most cooperative in getting his nails done and was quite wiggly. They were super patient with him and got us out in less than 15 minutes. Super friendly and convenient! We will be going back!

I picked up Coco our family dog and had just an amazing conversation with the owner. It was my first time being there and meeting her. She is a delightful and compassionate woman. My father has been going through some health issues and it was clear she had been a source of comfort to my mother. Thank you. Above and beyond with super clean facilities. 🥰

My dog is a mess! I have a Small Biewer Terrier No rocket science. Clean up belly, that was not done. Clean up back end so no dingle berries, didn’t even touch it. Ear shaved only half way down, shave inside, and the tips come to ONE point , not even sure how to explain what they did except he now has 3 points on one ear and raggedy point on other I could go on but I think I’ve said enough The one star was for their kindness they are very friendly I think large dogs are their thing. So we won’t be going back

These girls are paws down the best in town! They listen to what you want and actually care about what's best for your dog. You can tell they love their job, they always remember my dog and care about how he is doing. Usually have appointments the same week too even though they are always busy. I recommend them to everyone who needs their dog groomed.

I took my dog Gracie in for haircut on 4/27/23. Upon picking her up I was informed she was very wiggly when trimming her head and face. I was surprised that never happened before. Upon getting home I realized she was favoring her eye. She has a "cherry" in her eye. Very noticeable when looking at her. I had to take her to the vets as after being groomed her eye was scratched. So I not only paid for grooming I had to pay for a vet bill and three medications. Sorry I won't be going back. I would include a picture but it won't allow me.

Deb is amazing!!! This was my first experience boarding my young dog and I was really dreading leaving her but as soon as I met Deb, I knew I had made a good choice. Deb clearly loves and understands dogs and does everything humanly possible to make their stay as comfortable as possible, including staying with them during storms! Do not hesitate to choose Canine Guest House when you need to board your pet. They will be in good hands!!

I have two babies that love their second home when we are on trips. The size difference in these two are huge, but they are loved the same and due to separation issues with each other, they are allowed to be in same pen, which is plenty big enough by the way for even 1 big baby. The kennel is always in great cleanliness. Not a huge boarding place, which I feel gives more attention to their guest.

We recently boarded our two nincompoops, er, I mean dogs, w Deb for 8 days. Love the fact that there are only 5 kennels so you don't walk into 20 kennels w dogs going ballistic! So stressful for everyone. Anyway, she was so very attentive and spent time with them outside the kennel. She even sent pictures the first several days and it did help to ease our minds. One of our dogs can be a real challenge and *might* have been a bit over-medicated, but that might have been some miscommunication. We noticed it when we got home. We would still use her again! If there was an option to give more than 5 stars, I would do it. Our family boarded 3 dogs (2 beagles & 1 German Shepard) last week and each of their particular needs were attended to. I have had a dog for over 35 years and boarded multiple places over the years. This is BY FAR, the best! Deb (and her husband) goes above and beyond to ensure the safety and well-being of her furry guests...including making sure they were as comfortable as possible during a thunderstorm. This is now our preferred facility when we travel and know we do not need to worry about our Murphy :).

Excellent facility. Deborah is a Friendly, kind and attentive owner. We have investigated other kennels and never felt comfortable leaving our pet. We are very comfortable leaving our golden with Deborah.

We brought 2 black labs to board while we were up north and we are so happy with the service! The kennel is clean, safe, and Deb is wonderful!

We called one morning asking for same day availability and we got super lucky that there was an open spot. Very well priced and super cute, clean kennels for our dog. Highly recommend! Thank you!
